Speaker 1 (00:04):
A Huddle is a production of the NFL in partnership
with iHeartRadio.

Speaker 2 (00:13):
There were nuts, I know.

Speaker 1 (00:28):
In probably I would say in or crazy to.

Speaker 3 (00:33):
What we were ten iparely know what going in a
week eleven? Yeah, barely know.

Speaker 4 (00:38):
What country I'm in at this point? What's up everybody?
I'm gonna say, we're we really go anywhere?

Speaker 1 (00:44):
But I have returned.

Speaker 4 (00:46):
Stateside, so happy to be back. Will this is a huddle?

Speaker 1 (00:54):
Is it me? Or has this?

Speaker 4 (00:57):
This entire season so far has been nuts, so unpredictable,
so unpredictable.

Speaker 5 (01:04):
So predictable, and uh, injuries looming large as well. And
and now the Browns without Deshaun Watson.

Speaker 1 (01:14):
I know that.

Speaker 4 (01:16):
Yeah, yeah, all of the craziness for sure.

Speaker 1 (01:20):
But it's good to back. It's good to speaking.

Speaker 6 (01:24):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (01:25):
I am jet lagged a f as the kids would.

Speaker 5 (01:27):
Say, Yeah, yeah, I mean where are you feeling? What
you what? What was the experience out there?

Speaker 3 (01:34):
Talk to me.

Speaker 4 (01:37):
Look outside of the massive headache that I've had for
three days, and I think that is due to the
jet lag. It was awesome. It was really awesome over there.
Like I don't know if you saw that I went
to brow Mania. Yeah, yeah, I've never still unclear on
how to describe it. I can say that the name fits,

(02:02):
the name fits, the events are amazing. Friends at Football
Romance over in Germany. The person who invited me was
Bijorn Werner, who was drafted in the first round by
the Indianapolis Cults, the first German player to do so.

Speaker 1 (02:17):
And he was on the sideline.

Speaker 4 (02:18):
With me for that first game between the Chiefs of
the Dolphins, which feels like it happened a year ago
at this point, and he was like, you got to
come to Bromania.

Speaker 1 (02:26):
And at first I thought he said Romania.

Speaker 4 (02:28):
Yeah, and I was like, oh, I don't know that
I'm allowed to go that far out of like the
parameters of Frankfurt on this work trip.

Speaker 1 (02:37):
And he' said no, no, no, Bromania.

Speaker 4 (02:39):
And the second I agreed, they like had graphics up,
they had the invite like everything.

Speaker 1 (02:43):
It was like the production value unbelievable.

Speaker 3 (02:46):
I see a lot of people were there.

Speaker 4 (02:49):
There were thousands, thousands of people. As we were getting
ready for the week, and you know, I was on
a GMF with you guys. More and more people had
actual Bromania jerseys on, like there were as many Bromania
jerseys as there were NFL team jerseys, and I was like,
what is this thing. They're like, MJ, we saw that
you're going. We're so excited, welcome in. And I'm like, okay, awesome,

(03:13):
still not fully grasping it. I get to the venue.
They bring me backstage, so I haven't even seen what's
going on yet. They take me straight to a green room.
Still very isolated, but awesome. They treated me great. I
come up backstage. They hand me a microphone. As I
peek through the curtain, it's like an ocean of people lights,
there's a faux field Bjorn and his calls up there.

Speaker 1 (03:35):
I'm like, what is happening? I was not at all prepared,
but it was.

Speaker 4 (03:40):
Like the coolest thing. The fans are so in it.
They really really love the NFL, and I think it
was one of the most special things outside of the
games of course, to be part of, just to really
feel what the fans over there, they just want any
little piece of the NFL from here.

Speaker 1 (03:59):
It was incredible.

Speaker 3 (04:00):
It really was.

Speaker 5 (04:00):
Yeah, So how does it compare to the other experiences
that you've had.

Speaker 4 (04:06):
I haven't seen a fan event like that anywhere, and
to be clear like this was on by the folks
of Football Romance, which is like a huge podcast over
there there. I would say they are like the counterparts
of our ATM guys right here in the States, so
they have a huge following clearly, and it was really
really cool, like it was so specific to that fan base,

(04:26):
to the folks in Germany. It's really hard to compare
to other men. But I was like, man, that's it.
I'm coming every year, like y'all can't keep me away
from this, And well this was the second second ever.
So this was romani Romania to our girl calling. Both
went last year and she did not prepare text her.
I was like, oh, what should I expect. She's like, oh,
you'll have a great time. Afterwards, I was like, sis,

(04:48):
you did not tell me.

Speaker 3 (04:49):
It was that it's.

Speaker 1 (04:51):
Really impossible for me to put it into words.

Speaker 4 (04:53):
And now you understand why I wasn't able to appropriately
describe it to you.

Speaker 1 (04:57):
So you guys go on my Instagram.

Speaker 4 (04:59):
I put a video there when I was walking out
on stage, which was literally the first moment when I realized,
oh crap, this is no joke.

Speaker 6 (05:07):
Yes, it.

Speaker 1 (05:09):
Was really really cool.

Speaker 3 (05:09):
Yeah, because I was thinking, like, how about Brocacco. You know,
was that going.

Speaker 4 (05:14):
When the Mexico games are back, we can have the
Mexico equivalent and I'm trying to find an equivalent and
I can't. I'm not good with the wordplay.

Speaker 1 (05:26):
But you can home.

Speaker 5 (05:26):
Yeah, no, I know, I know what you're saying. Either way, great,
you look good, you sound good. I know that you're
still jet lagged, but you played it off well. It
was great having you on all as well. They had
us in the same block.

Speaker 1 (05:41):
I'm like, I know, I thought they were gonna let
us interact a little bit more.

Speaker 4 (05:46):
Will We got to talk to the producers because they're like, okay,
and as soon as they would sort of kiss me off,
thanks m J. We'll see you in a bit, they're like,
and now I'm too, Will Sell, I'm like, missed opportunity, guys,
missed opportunity.

Speaker 7 (05:55):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (05:56):
I was like, no, that's a part.

Speaker 1 (05:59):
I know. They got to keep the flow of the show.
I get it.

Speaker 5 (06:01):
I yeah, yeah, Well, like I said, you you're bringing
the energy and if you're tired, you could have fooled me.

Speaker 3 (06:08):
So we have a great guest on.

Speaker 5 (06:12):
We have Arizona Cardinals offensive lineman Will Hernandez and that
was a Will first on this podcast. Uh, we talked
about you Will squared and I wanted to talk to
him about Miko Miho being a Miko and we know
that that phrase, that's something that if you are a

(06:33):
son of a mom in Ladas so as you Mikoko.
So we get into all of that stuff that is
coming up on the other side.

Speaker 6 (06:50):
I no think.

Speaker 1 (07:00):
What God he bring her sack on I spina all
those Cardinals.

Speaker 3 (07:08):
We have an l huddle.

Speaker 5 (07:09):
First, for the first time ever, we have two Wills
on the podcast at the same time. I enjoined by
a true Federro Macho Arizona Cardinals offensive lineman, Will Hernandez
Biing Benilos. I'll l huddle Will. How about this two
Wills at the same time. Growing up, people would call
me Will the Thrill. What are some of the nicknames

(07:31):
they call you?

Speaker 6 (07:33):
Uh, you know it's funny.

Speaker 7 (07:34):
That's actually one of my gamertags for Xbox Will the
Thrill seventy six.

Speaker 3 (07:38):
Nice.

Speaker 6 (07:39):
But you know I heard it all big Will Willie.

Speaker 3 (07:43):
You know, well that big Willie style. I heard that too.

Speaker 5 (07:48):
Hey, So right now, exciting time for the Cardinals because
you got your quarterback back Kyler Murray is now in
the huddle and under center.

Speaker 3 (07:58):
How has that been like for you?

Speaker 7 (08:01):
Yeah, I mean, we're all happy to have him back. Obviously,
he's a special place for us. You know, we really
love him as a person, you know, and so to
have both of those guys be able to come in
and or those traits come in, and you know, obviously
it's starting the show already with a win last week,
and we're excited to keep it going.

Speaker 5 (08:20):
How different is it to block for a mobile quarterback
like him.

Speaker 7 (08:27):
Yeah, I mean it's it's you know, things that you're
gonna have to keep in the back of your mind
during the play, Like you know, he's gonna extend plays.
You have to be ready to, you know, block a
play longer than expected. You have to be able to,
you know, run sideways if you know he gets out
of the pocket, and stay in front of your man.
There's no clocks, there's no fast or slow throws anymore.

(08:49):
It's just you know, you stay in front of your
man as long as you can and let him do
his you know, special things and let him do what
he does.

Speaker 5 (08:57):
He's had some long scrambles, like really electrifying runs. We
shake our heads when we watch him play. What do
you do when you see it unfold on the field.

Speaker 7 (09:08):
Yeah, I mean we see it every day and it's
still we're the same as we're just as surprised every
every time. You know, it's special and not too many
people that can do that on this earth, So we
definitely love to.

Speaker 6 (09:22):
See it every day and we get just a surprise
every time.

Speaker 5 (09:25):
You know, what's been surprising is Josh Dobbs and what
he's done for the Vikings. You played with them earlier
in the season, he was your starting quarterback. What do
you think of what he's been able to do to
step in there with very little knowledge of that offense,
not even knowing his teammates, and having instant success.

Speaker 7 (09:48):
Yeah, I mean, Dobbs is a special player too. You know,
in order to even be in this league, I have
to be special. But that just goes to show how
much more he is. And I'm happy for him. You know,
everything that he's done is not easy, not just anybody
can do it, even being in the NFL, and so
for him to pull that off just you know, proves
everything that we already knew about him. He's just to

(10:09):
put a great player smart, great mindset, great teammate. So,
you know, surprise, but not surprised.

Speaker 5 (10:18):
You know, it's great having you on this podcast because
MJ and I always talk about Familia Lasa and one
of the things that I love is that in your
bio for your IG page you say just a miho
being a miho.

Speaker 3 (10:33):
What do you mean by that?

Speaker 7 (10:36):
Yeah, so, I mean it has a lot of definitions
and it means a lot. But you know, at the
end of the day, I am what I am. You know,
I carry my you know, I have my my roots
and I embrace what I am and anything that I do,
whether it's football, whether it's cleaning the house, whether it's whatever,
I'm going to do it to the best of my ability.

(10:58):
And that's who I am and I'm going to represent
and that's it.

Speaker 5 (11:02):
So what would be an example of a MIHO being
a miho.

Speaker 3 (11:06):
Would this be considered a miho being a mijo.

Speaker 7 (11:11):
Yes, uh, you know, being a miho is, you know,
first thing, you embrace what you are, you embrace where
you're at, and you do it with you know, to
the best of your ability. Another thing of being a
MIHO is you know, you go out to at lunch
with your buddy, he forgets his wallet, you know you
cover it for him.

Speaker 6 (11:26):
That's a miho. That's miho things. You know, it's uh it.

Speaker 7 (11:30):
Can it means a lot and uh, it means a
lot of things, and it's it's one of those things
that if you get it, you get it and if
you know, you know, you know.

Speaker 5 (11:38):
Yeah we all right, So let me ask you this
miho on no miho? How about this, Uh, watching lucha
libre miho or no miho.

Speaker 6 (11:47):
Miho for sure? Right cycle clown?

Speaker 3 (11:53):
Okay, how about having mild salsa versus hot salsa? Miho
or no miho.

Speaker 6 (11:59):
You want to be a mijo, you gotta go with
the hot.

Speaker 3 (12:03):
I hear you there. Okay, Watching a novella miho no miho.

Speaker 7 (12:09):
Depends if your mom asks you to watch it with
or you watch it with her.

Speaker 6 (12:13):
Not watching it on your own nomeo.

Speaker 5 (12:16):
Isn't it funny that if it's our moms who are
with us and they want to watch a novella, we
are one hundred percent going to watch it. My dad
knew all the characters of all the different novellas that
we'd watch over the years at the house.

Speaker 6 (12:30):
Yeah. The thing is that sometimes you don't even have
a choice. You just get sucked into it, you know.

Speaker 5 (12:35):
Yeah, all right, so let's keep going. Getting a tricked
out car Miho, No, miho.

Speaker 6 (12:43):
That's meo.

Speaker 7 (12:43):
Things for sure, uh to another way to express yourself.
And you know cars, cars are dope, Yes.

Speaker 3 (12:50):
They are all right. Not eating enough miho or no meho.

Speaker 6 (12:56):
That's way, no, mio, got you gotta eat that big boys,
I know.

Speaker 5 (13:03):
That's one thing my mom and my grandmother would always
emphasize that fries in burritos. This topic has come up
on the podcast as well.

Speaker 6 (13:13):
Miho no, miho, Yes, definitely, mio.

Speaker 7 (13:17):
You know, the more creative you get when you eat,
the more closer to miho you get.

Speaker 5 (13:22):
Some people are very stringent though, will some people only
like the bear essentials in there?

Speaker 7 (13:27):
Yeah, it's all right, we don't. We don't have that
kind of room or time for negativity like that. I
always love to hear guys as creative combinations when it
comes to food.

Speaker 3 (13:37):
Yeah, I do as well. I do as well.

Speaker 5 (13:40):
Never having enough money miho, no, mihoh.

Speaker 7 (13:46):
You know, you get what you get. But as long
as you you know, you're good in here and you're
good in here, it don't matter.

Speaker 5 (13:52):
My mom would say, mihota, how about this not eating leftovers?

Speaker 3 (14:04):
Miho no, miho, no, mio, you gotta you gotta eat. See.

Speaker 5 (14:13):
Yeah, and that's where it's like that there's that connection
now playing that with you.

Speaker 3 (14:21):
This is again coming from my point of view too.

Speaker 5 (14:24):
And and growing up Amelia is really important.

Speaker 3 (14:27):
And you have such an incredible story that.

Speaker 5 (14:30):
At one point in time you and your family lived
in a shed. What were the circumstances surrounding that and
what was it like?

Speaker 7 (14:41):
Yeah, you know, I mean at the end of the day,
we weren't in the best of situations, so we made
it work with what we had at the time. Uh,
you know, I think, well, the important part was that
we all knew that that wasn't forever and we were
going to find a way out and we were gonna
make it, make something happen. So, uh, when you when
you it was temporary, we knew it was just a
learning lesson and uh, we knew we were going to get.

Speaker 6 (15:03):
Out of that.

Speaker 5 (15:04):
There was a time where you actually quit football because
you were going to help out your family. When you
look back at that decision and you finally did decide
that you wanted to go back to playing football, how
impactful was that decision now seeing how successful you've become.

Speaker 6 (15:25):
Yeah, I mean, at the end of the day, I
don't have any regrets.

Speaker 7 (15:28):
You know, where we were at, the spot where we
were in at the time was very hard. So that's
just me. You know, I wanted to help out. I
didn't want to feel like a burden. So I don't
regret my decision. But I am glad I took the
different path and decided to go back and decided to
pursue it in hopes of really helping out in the future,

(15:50):
which did happen, and that I'm happy about.

Speaker 5 (15:54):
And we're happy for the decision that you made and
sticking with your family. As we mentioned, family is very
huge in Western Atua, right. It's really important the family
unit in terms of your family and how important they are.
We really saw it on display when the Cardinals played
the forty nine ers in Mexico City, and you really.

Speaker 3 (16:17):
Were overcome with the motion. What did that time?

Speaker 5 (16:21):
What did that moment mean to you?

Speaker 7 (16:26):
No? Yeah, meant everything to me because you know, it
was a cool experience and very very very few people
get to ever experience something like this, but you know,
me growing up and then you know, making it into
the world of the NFL of professional sports. Those days
in Mexico City to me where like two worlds were colliding,

(16:46):
like tow the very different worlds for me were coming together.
And I got to play in front of my family,
which I hadn't seen in a long time. Or I
got to be with my family, you know, in an
NFL stadium game.

Speaker 6 (17:03):
So I think that was the special part.

Speaker 7 (17:05):
That you know, I got to see my family in
the world that I am in now.

Speaker 3 (17:11):
It's so cool.

Speaker 5 (17:12):
What did your parents say about playing football? Because when
I grew up, it was soccer, it was baseball, it
was boxing. Those were the ones that seemed to be
the main focus. What did your parents think about you
playing football and how knowledge were they of the game?

Speaker 6 (17:33):
Yeah, so I was in the kind of in the
same boat as you.

Speaker 7 (17:35):
I played soccer actually as a kid growing up, and
then I did get into boxing for a few years.

Speaker 3 (17:40):
So, oh you did it. So you actually boxed.

Speaker 6 (17:43):
For a couple of years.

Speaker 3 (17:44):
Yeah, Wow, and how was that.

Speaker 6 (17:46):
It was great?

Speaker 7 (17:47):
You know, it gave me a complete different mindset. You know,
it made me mentally tougher.

Speaker 6 (17:53):
Uh.

Speaker 7 (17:54):
You know, it's a one man show out there, so
no team, it's all on you, sot. It taught me
a lot that which I translated into football. But it
definitely showed me a lot. But going back to uh,
to football. Once I you know, decided and I told
my parents that I want this is what I want
to play, and this is what I.

Speaker 6 (18:11):
Want to do.

Speaker 7 (18:13):
They've always been supportive by everything that I do, so they,
you know, they got on board. My guest started training
me for football. They started to actually you know, educate
themselves on the sport. And yeah, everybody was behind me.
So uh it was. It was a good, good trans
transition from from other sports to football. And they had
no clue what football was, right I started playing it.

Speaker 5 (18:35):
Yeah, yeah, my parents had no idea what first downs were,
They had no idea what penalties were, none of those
sorts of things. And now, at least from my mom,
she really now at least is passionate about the game,
at least gets it more than than she did before. Right,

(18:57):
they're they're looking through your Instagram, you had a lot
of like great quotes and things, and I want to
read you some of them and tell me what you
were thinking. You know, sooy lucido, mucho meno espresso, mio
betro see medoi respect that.

Speaker 3 (19:14):
What did you mean by that?

Speaker 7 (19:16):
Oh, that's a that's a quote from a from a song.
I can't remember the name of it right now, but
it's just a quote from a song that that that
one of the many songs that I always hear before
a game. Yeah, I mean pretty much with that quote exactly.
It's just saying, you know, I'm not you know, I'm

(19:38):
not wanting to be flashy. I'm not want to talk
about what I do, but I am going to make
you respect me. Well, that resignates with me because you know,
on the field, I'm not the biggest talker. I'm not
the biggest, you know, flashy guy out there. I'm in
the mix. You know, I'm in the trenches. So that's
not what I do. But you know, I am gonna
make the guy in front of me respect me. Yeah,

(20:00):
all lyrics are.

Speaker 3 (20:01):
Coming from Yeah, okay, I get you.

Speaker 5 (20:05):
What were some of the cultural traditions that still stay
with you now and what I mean cultural traditions. It
could be food, it could be music, it could be
shows we've talked about, We've talked about Bettina La, like
all sorts of things. What were some of those cultural

(20:26):
experiences that still stay with you now?

Speaker 7 (20:29):
Yeah, so pretty much every category you just hit, I
still do something that involves, you know, my culture. Talking
about food, I still love to eat you know, Carlos
before a game, you know, the night before.

Speaker 3 (20:42):
That's that's that's your your meal before then.

Speaker 6 (20:44):
Huh, that's one.

Speaker 7 (20:45):
That's one of the foods that Yeah, I mean I
still you know, a lot of Mexican food. I still
listened to like for example, Bandambia all that stuff, you know,
every day, every every time before a game. You know,
I'm still very much, you know, revolve myself around everything

(21:07):
that my culture is. You know, I got you know, tattoos,
you know, I got it all. Like I still, I mean,
I am what I am. I just I play football,
you know absolutely.

Speaker 5 (21:18):
And I think your family we're very proud of you
of where you've where you started and now where you've
ended up. Last question with your teammates and I get
this a lot too, Hey, can you teach me Spanish.
What words can you teach me in Spanish? Typically they're
the bad words. What What has been the reaction of

(21:39):
some of your teammates about maybe learning the language.

Speaker 7 (21:42):
Yeah, you know, I teach the guys a word here
and there, and uh, you know, maybe only bad.

Speaker 6 (21:49):
Words so far, but good words at.

Speaker 7 (21:52):
Some point and uh, you know Paris, Paris and uh
and hump. Well, actually, you know, can actually give you
a few words. I've taught them the most. But yeah,
we definitely, we definitely have fun with it. I share
a little bit of my culture with the guys.

Speaker 6 (22:07):
I love it. And uh yeah, we're just gonna keep it,
keep it rolling.

Speaker 3 (22:12):
Yeah, I love it.

Speaker 5 (22:13):
Hey, keep it rolling with the Cardinals coming off a
big win. You got another big game coming up. Hey, Well,
it was an absolute pleasure to have you here on
the Al Huddle podcast. Good luck to you, see us
to the d keep it going buener amigo.

Speaker 6 (22:28):
Yes, sir, thank you so much for having me. I'm
sure that's yes, and.

Speaker 8 (22:45):
Dops Levans, presondo dos sale doves, I mean, come ya,
that's either and Ghanya, yes, Joshua, Dobs and Delos with
kingos Hey, it's.

Speaker 5 (23:03):
A many thinks again to Will Hernandez just talking to
him to MJ about now blocking for Kyler Murray who's
now the quarterback won again and how good he looked running.
Didn't look like he had any effects whatsoever from that
knee and certainly jump started the team. Uh so that

(23:26):
was that was that was fun to see, so we
delved into that. I also saw some about Josh Dobbs
too and blocking for him and said it and he
said like, hey, this is a good player, right, this
is a guy who is legit, and uh yeah exactly.
I mean this guy could actually play quarterback. But but

(23:47):
to do what he's done, and the Vikings actually haven't
missed a beat. If anything, they've been better they've been
doing with al Justin Jefferson and he he you could see,
like with Kevin O'Connell, the way he looks at at
Josh Dobbs, like what, like you're doing this? Like all

(24:07):
I could do is like shrug his shoulders and smile.

Speaker 3 (24:09):
He's like, all right, yeah, yeah, here we go. Let's
ride this thing. And uh it's been a really really
cool story to see that unfold in Minneapolis.

Speaker 1 (24:20):
Very very cool.

Speaker 4 (24:20):
I love that, and I mean I think after the
first appearance of Josh Jbbs, Everyone's like, all right, well
can they repeat it?

Speaker 1 (24:28):
Can they do it again? Was it beginner's luck with
this Minnesota team?

Speaker 4 (24:32):
And I think he has shown us he's been on
a few teams now, and he shows us that he's
got that in up right.

Speaker 1 (24:38):
And I feel like, I think you're right with Kevin Ol.

Speaker 4 (24:41):
It almost feels like the right fit for him, the
right circumstances, certainly, So.

Speaker 1 (24:46):
I mean, I love this for him. I can't.

Speaker 4 (24:48):
I really want to dive in which one of our
legends is going to do the inter because you know,
I threw my hat in the ring.

Speaker 1 (24:53):
I want to.

Speaker 4 (24:53):
I want to talk to jobs, but it's probably gonna
be Kurt. Yeah, probably gonna be Kurt, if I had
to guess.

Speaker 1 (24:59):
I get that too.

Speaker 4 (25:01):
Really want to learn more about his backstory, for sure.
I mean it if you can be like, what is
the an astrophysicist, the rocket.

Speaker 3 (25:07):
Scizener, there's an aeronautical engine, all.

Speaker 4 (25:09):
Of the above, you can certainly, I think, pick up
a playbook pretty quickly. So I guess, yeah, to Will's point,
none of us should be shocked.

Speaker 5 (25:16):
No, no, And and here's the other thing too, You
know who's kicking themselves that they didn't pick uh Josh
Dobbs up for the rest of the season was the
Cleveland Browns because now they're in the situation where they
have to rely on Dorian Thompson Robinson to be their
quarterback this week in a big divisional matchup because of

(25:39):
Deshaun Watson's injury. He's out for the year, and now
they have to face the Steelers. And the Steelers are
also six and three, and all the while the Bengals
are playing the Ravens on Thursday Night football, Like this
is this this is going to be like you know
how it was like in Gladiator, right where you see

(26:02):
like the Lions coming out from underneath and and you know,
having to navigate this. You know, for the Steelers, they're
six and three, still haven't gotten quite the production that
they expected from from uh Pickett at this point in
time that they would developed maybe a little bit more
take it more of a leap.

Speaker 3 (26:23):
He really hasn't. But it hasn't mattered because he has guys.

Speaker 5 (26:26):
Like Dayalen Lauren on the team and obviously Nije Harris
there and again the Browns with their defense, this is
this is a top level defense.

Speaker 3 (26:35):
Can they keep it together?

Speaker 1 (26:37):
Can they?

Speaker 6 (26:37):
You know?

Speaker 5 (26:37):
Because what what now the injury to Deshaun Watson does
also to him JA is that it affects the playoffs
because now what do to do for the Bills, you know,
the Colts, some of the Bangles themselves too. I mean,
there's some ripple effects to this Deshaun Watson injury.

Speaker 4 (26:56):
Of course there always is, and like the thing is
okay now dtr comes in. That's how we'll be referring
to him moving forward. And I don't think you can
expect every backup QB to be a Josh Jobs to
be a rock party to be you know what I mean,
Like maybe maybe we're going to see you get another one,
but like the reality of the league is, and the

(27:18):
odds at this point that's something like that would happen
again now for Cleveland are pretty slim. I'm very curious
to see what this team looks like because this division
has been I think far more competitive than anybody expected
it to be this season, which is what you want
to see, especially you know, gritty, because this, to me
is one of the grittiest divisions in the entire NFL,

(27:38):
not just because they all have to play in ridiculous
weather conditions, right right, But they're built like that region,
this part of the country is just built on that
gritty type of hard nos football. And so I think
for Cleveland now they're going to have to see if

(27:59):
defense really does bring win championships.

Speaker 1 (28:02):
But we know the reality of it.

Speaker 4 (28:04):
The defense can really put you over the top, but
you need the most important position on the field to
be on all cylinders, and that is the quarterback position.
And this offense has to get going, especially when you
have the likes of Lamar Jackson absolutely crushing it.

Speaker 5 (28:21):
In your own question, so yeah, yeah, and having keithon
Mitchell that they said they're going to give him the
ball more, which I found very curious from John Harbaugh
because he said, yeah, looking back, maybe we should have
given him the ball more. We didn't know if we
can trust the young player with the offense. It's like, listen,
this guy is ripping off huge chunk plays. I want

(28:43):
to see a lot of him on Thursday night. And
also Lamar had said like he's looking to throw the
ball deep, and so that's going to be a big clash.
Another big clash that we're looking forward to is the
Eagles and the Chiefs on Monday Night football. That's one
where the Chiefs offense still is not at the peak

(29:05):
of its powers at this chart.

Speaker 3 (29:07):
Doesn't mean that it won't be, but it hasn't been.
And the Eagles.

Speaker 5 (29:12):
You talk about the division being gritty, that the Eagles
have been gritty as well.

Speaker 3 (29:17):
They've been winning really you know, ugly however.

Speaker 5 (29:21):
You want to describe it, nonetheless, but yeah, they're winning exactly,
and so this is this is hopefully good.

Speaker 3 (29:28):
This could be a fun matchup here between these two teams.

Speaker 4 (29:31):
You know that this Chiefs Eagles, and yes, it's a
rematch of last years Super Bowl, but you know it's
a big deal when it's on like morning TV, when yeah,
Good Morning America is doing.

Speaker 1 (29:43):
Whole stories on it.

Speaker 4 (29:45):
Now. Granted I get it ESPN, ABC, They've got the
synergy there, of course, but you don't see a lot
of sports crossover or rollover.

Speaker 1 (29:55):
Into quote unquote like mainstream morning TV.

Speaker 4 (29:58):
And I'm like, every time I flip in through the channels,
I'm like, Wow, they're really talking about this Chiefs Eagles game. Okay,
I mean, we all need a contributor. Let your girl know,
I'm happy to break things down, I know, but yeah,
it's a it's a big, big deal for sure. This
I'm very excited. I've already planning in my head. Did
you know that it's my birthday on this big matchup?

Speaker 5 (30:18):
Is it.

Speaker 2 (30:24):
To me?

Speaker 1 (30:24):
We got an incredible matchup on Monday night? Can't wait?

Speaker 5 (30:28):
Yeah, yeah, I'm sure you can't wait for the fact
that Devon h Chan fingers crossed. But returning to practice
exactly what that Miami Dolphins offense needs, right, and they they're.

Speaker 3 (30:43):
Also going to be in a little bit of a
dogfight themselves.

Speaker 1 (30:49):
Look my fins, they're gonna get it right.

Speaker 4 (30:52):
Not just because it's my birthday week coming back, yeah,
but that's they're going up against all.

Speaker 1 (31:02):
Who are feeling pretty damn good.

Speaker 5 (31:05):
Yeah, the two listen listen to and oh I didn't
think that that they would be two and oh because
usually again, like if there's a new coach that comes in, yeah,
it's big changes and sometimes there's like a like you know, yeah,
yeah exactly so. And it wasn't again a pretty win either,
but they got it. But now they're on the road,

(31:27):
this is going to be testing them. So I think
for for the Raiders, it's going to be a challenge
to see, like, okay, can they sustain now this new
vibe with Antonio Pierce there. But for but for the
Dolphins coming off of bye week, they're they're gonna be
hungry considering what what happened in Germany. Fact, you know,

(31:48):
now let's it's it's time to to redirect, which, by
the way, you know, going back to the Chiefs as
I'm thinking about it and the Eagles, you know, I
think that Taylor Swift's dad is an Eagles fan.

Speaker 4 (32:02):
Yeah, she's originally from Philly, which I don't think a
lot of people.

Speaker 3 (32:05):
Yeah, yeah, so so well, she.

Speaker 4 (32:10):
Said in her eras tour earlier this year that yeah,
she's an Eagles fan.

Speaker 1 (32:15):
But I would imagine that fandom has shifted.

Speaker 3 (32:18):
Yeah, I would imagine it has to. I know, hey,
the lyrics have been changed.

Speaker 5 (32:22):
She was in a Indiena right and not yeah right,
So all right, so I guess her our final bit
we put a bow on the show is uh ibunto
and that's you know, now we're we're you know, guatro
quipos since he has the seat thatest right now four
have bye weeks. But now kind of all the big
dogs are back well rested, and you know you said,

(32:46):
you mentioned it off the top. It's been a crazy season.
We'll see how it plays out with some of these
injuries that we've seen, and and and again, the coaching changes,
et cetera, how that affects. But this is gonna be
another exciting week weekend of football.

Speaker 1 (33:01):
No question.

Speaker 4 (33:02):
I'm excited to get back to my normal football setup
and not doing a full game day and then watching
the early slate of games at.

Speaker 1 (33:12):
Like eight or nine PM.

Speaker 3 (33:13):
Yeah, you guys, I had to watch the I.

Speaker 4 (33:18):
Had to rewatch right like the primetime games like the
next day, or watch like the the recast of it
since we have NFL Plus, because it was at one.

Speaker 1 (33:28):
In the morning or two in the morning local time.

Speaker 4 (33:31):
So as much as I am analidole, your girl was tired.
So I'm excited to be back home, to have my
setup on my little screens, my research notes ready, my snacks,
and I love this time of year because this is
really when you start to see teams kick it into
high gear, when you can really start to formulate the

(33:53):
identities of each of these squads, notwithstanding the squads that
are going through major major changes like.

Speaker 1 (34:00):
The Raiders and the Browns and even the even the Vikings,
who are yes.

Speaker 4 (34:03):
Josh Obs is going but like and the bills and
the bills, which by the way, talk.

Speaker 1 (34:09):
About that like your welcome bills. We're not going to
get into what happened.

Speaker 3 (34:12):
No, I don't think you're dead.

Speaker 5 (34:14):
Baby wouldn't be into it, you know, I mean, he
would not performance. And then Sen Dorsey being fired as
our opposite coordinator. I mean you could see, like at
it feels like Josh Allen's like searching, like he's really
really going off, just just not Yeah, and we always
said the hero ball was potentially going to be an

(34:34):
impediment for this team, and right now they're not a
playoff team.

Speaker 4 (34:38):
So so that's I mean, that's the perfect way to
say it. MYO is a lot can shift. But for
most teams, you sort of have to start believing who
they are when they show you a week after week.

Speaker 3 (34:50):
What about for you, Oh yeah, yeah, yeah, I agree.

Speaker 5 (34:53):
I I just think that this this is now the
time where the playoff picture starts to come in to
focus a little bit. For some of these teams who
are in the hunt, you know, there's there's a chance,
you know, and especially like in the AFC with the
wild card, those those spots are gonna be tough to
come by because in the NFC, as we've seen, it's
like some of these teams, there's some separation there with

(35:15):
the Eagles and then you have the Lions, the forty
nine Ers, the Cowboys, you know, and and even though
like like the win that they got against the Giants,
a lot of people think those are like empty calories
that they're eating a lot of those, right, it's still
I mean, you gotta stack wins at this point in time,
and and that's that's what it is. You gotta stack

(35:36):
wins because the weather is going to be colder, and
that's when you know, some of the the O line
D line play is really going to play into it.
So I either way, MJ, great seeing you, you look good,
you sound good. So glad that you're back safe. Sound
prettimamana uh And if you love the Lheadle podcast, and
