Speaker 1 (00:04):
All. Huddle is a production of the NFL in partnership
with iHeartRadio.
Speaker 2 (00:13):
Don't Dunchdown.
Speaker 3 (00:21):
I think.
Speaker 1 (00:23):
Overall an interesting performance there from the Vikings and Josh.
So we'll get into all of.
Speaker 4 (00:28):
That stuff.
Speaker 5 (00:31):
The podcast Bit of love Yes, I love it me.
Speaker 1 (00:40):
Hank, Hello, Welcome into the l Huddle podcast. For those
of you who are watching, Will Salva and myself, m
you can't tell us a thing today because we got
new new Yes, we did love Huddle swag and it's
giving should be there, but right now it's just water.
(01:02):
I promise I.
Speaker 4 (01:03):
Could see that for earth. This does.
Speaker 6 (01:06):
This does remind me of some of the trips that
I would take because we would drive from San Francisco
to Mexico Rosarito, and I remember going into some of
those bodegas or I don't know if you call it
the end's whatever, and I would see these kinds of
mugs yeah, and I thought like, wow, this reminds me
of a very good time. So appreciate the fact that
(01:28):
we got this. By the way, also to my oldest brother,
he was listening and he heard us talking about the
dressing and stuffing, and I said, how I didn't like it?
Speaker 4 (01:37):
Well, it's Reyno. Yeah, did not like it at all.
Speaker 6 (01:43):
He apparently didn't like it either, because he also had
the green sick emoji that he sent me.
Speaker 4 (01:47):
No, my other brother said that too. Wow.
Speaker 1 (01:50):
Wow, wow. We have strong feelings and bolden we feel
to talk about like, oh yes, family meals for sure.
My Thanksgiving dinner, as I told you guys last week,
ten out of ten. Yeah, good, no notes, everything delicious,
everything great, and we of course had more the next day.
I'm sure they're still eating leftovers over in Arizona. It
(02:14):
was delightful. I'm still full.
Speaker 4 (02:16):
Will good.
Speaker 1 (02:17):
But the best part was being able to watch all
of the games. I mean, I know it's a lot
of football, you guys. And we had an extra one
on Friday, so one of my nieces was like, okay, wait,
there's another one. Can we watch a movie?
Speaker 2 (02:29):
Can we watch a cartoon?
Speaker 1 (02:30):
Can we go outside? And so we went outside where
there's another television, So we just continued to watch Watchman.
Speaker 6 (02:39):
No, We're going to watch the Dolphins on Friday against
the Jets.
Speaker 1 (02:45):
And to that end, Will, we're reaching that point in
the season where teams playoffs, hopes are made and some
of them are broken. So I'm watching my fins, of
course on Friday, and that was a game that they
were supposed to win. They did win, but it wasn't
without some areas of concern, especially now that Jay and
Phillips is off for the rest of the season. I mean,
(03:06):
he has been criticgd no question, and you could see
there was a stark difference. There was a couple of
games where he was out earlier in the season and
then he came back and it just came back full force.
That really really hurts for him because you love to
watch him, you love to root for him, but certainly
for what it does for this Miami Dolphins defense. For sure,
(03:29):
that that's they have some depth, for sure, but he's
just one of those X factor type of guys. The
other area of concern for myself is Toua. Yeah, there's
been a lot of fun, a lot of picks. I
don't know what is going on there with his ball
protection because we haven't it has been I think a
(03:50):
little bit too long since we've had one of these
lights out, amazing games from Tua. He's still getting it done,
so I think we forget a little bit because all right, well,
he's still throwing it. He's still finding Tyreek, he's still
filing Jalen. We're getting it done. The offense is putting
up thirty plus points. Great, but you can't overlook those
things because we deep the deeper we go into the season,
and now we're going into week thirteen, that means there's
just five more weeks before we get into the postseason.
(04:13):
Those are the things that you gotta get that together. Yeah,
because that's not gonna fly in the post.
Speaker 6 (04:17):
And that also speaks to the running game and how
important it is for Tua as well.
Speaker 4 (04:23):
Loosen things up.
Speaker 1 (04:24):
I mean, Rahim is crushed.
Speaker 6 (04:26):
He's doing well, and he's been healthy, yes, which has
been the most important factor here, because we saw h
Chen didn't get a chance to play. He appeared to
have reaggravated knee injury, or maybe it was a separate
knee injury. Either way, they depended on him to be
that home run threat right to get the big chunk yard.
So maybe they work him back into the mix because
(04:49):
I think that would also help out Tua a lot.
Speaker 2 (04:52):
But I think the Phillips injury doesn't help out.
Speaker 1 (04:56):
No, it doesn't. So we're gonna have to see how
who steps up to fill that very big spot. The
entire defense certainly has to come together push continue to
push it to stay at the top of that division
and to get into good playoff scening. For sure. What
about your team means yeah over.
Speaker 6 (05:12):
Here, Well, I think the forty nine Ers game against
the Eagles now is going to live up to the billing,
right because after the NFC Championship last season, there was
a lot of chirping going back and forth between both
teams where some of the forty nine Ers players thought
this game would have been a lot different had we
not had the injuries. Because remember it wasn't just brock Party,
(05:34):
but it was also Johnson as well who went down
and listen, the Eagles knocked out Party. They won that game,
fair and square. That is what was the element the
issue that they were facing. And so that took nothing
away from Philadelphia. But now this feels like this week
(05:55):
thirteen matchup there's going to be built up. I think
this week right and already we are getting a little
bit of that build ups of one Hassan.
Speaker 2 (06:06):
Reddick, who had this to say.
Speaker 6 (06:09):
About the chirping back and forth in particular from one
Deebo Samuel.
Speaker 4 (06:14):
Here we go.
Speaker 6 (06:17):
You guys got the.
Speaker 4 (06:17):
Forty nine ers now because I know he's not done Quay,
but you know.
Speaker 7 (06:21):
They hit a lot of talking theme when the last
season about would happened.
Speaker 5 (06:23):
In the NFC Championship game last year.
Speaker 7 (06:25):
So much of that has stayed in the back of
your mind ahead of next week.
Speaker 3 (06:29):
You know, as this season been going on, not much
talk is cheap. You know, they get to come back
in the link. It was a lot of boohoos last year,
a lot of crime, a lot of what if, a
lot of this, a lot of that. They get a
chance to come back in here line improve it again,
that's a.
Speaker 4 (06:46):
Boo hoo's Yeah.
Speaker 1 (06:48):
Look, he's not one to ever sugarcoat no single thing.
Speaker 6 (06:52):
But these big games are happening in Philadelphia, right. I
mean we saw that with the Bills, like that was
an awesome game to watch in the elements wind rain
and the Eagles gunned it out and once again Jalen
Hurts coming up with the clutch play when.
Speaker 4 (07:08):
It was needed.
Speaker 6 (07:09):
Yes, and and they they again showed that they can
win no matter what any condition. And listen, these games
have been in in the Link and I think that
certainly helps out.
Speaker 4 (07:23):
But this is a team that.
Speaker 6 (07:26):
They are the best team right now with the one loss,
and they get it done.
Speaker 1 (07:31):
Heard. Here's the thing, like we've heard this before, and
we've heard this cliche before. We'll take an ugly win
over a beautiful loss, which, like the ladder, doesn't even
seem like something that's feasible, right, and L is in
l But it doesn't matter because the teams that go
far are the teams that figure it out and find
a way to get it done. Whether it's pretty, whether
(07:51):
it's an overtime, whether your kicker got you there, whether
your quarterback rested in at the last, it doesn't matter.
As long as you get on that win column. That's
that's the ultimate goal. Ya, That's what's going to help
you get seating that's gonna get you what a first
round by in the postseason. These this is what these
teams are keeping in mind. So the stats and all
of that stuff, it's great. And thank you Jaalen for
(08:12):
the thirty something points of fantasy. Yeah, a little bit
more into that later, yeah, But at the end of
the day, all they know is that they're trying to
make it back to the Super Bowl this year.
Speaker 4 (08:23):
Yes, and listen to forty nine ers.
Speaker 6 (08:25):
They look like the forty nine ers team before their
three game losing streak. Now they seem to be really
finding their stride, so naturally with the chirping back and forth.
Speaker 2 (08:37):
This is what Deebo had to say about.
Speaker 6 (08:42):
The trash comment he made about James Bradbury, the cornerback.
Speaker 4 (08:48):
Of the Eagles. Here we go, here we go, trash.
Speaker 3 (08:56):
Game last year.
Speaker 8 (08:58):
That I mean, okay, I said what I said. I
saw meme the other day that said the corporate way
of saying I said. What I said is I maintain
my thoughts on this.
Speaker 1 (09:15):
Matter fantastic, And that's basically what Debo is saying. Also,
I want to gift every beat writer one of those
little mics that you can attach to.
Speaker 4 (09:26):
Yeah, now that's the new thing, right. I feel like.
Speaker 2 (09:29):
They're tached a couple of years.
Speaker 4 (09:31):
There's like these little microphones, right.
Speaker 1 (09:34):
I know, for their purposes, all they need they just
need to hear it. But man, it'd probably be better
audio for them as well. Yeah, shout out to all
the beat writers. They are in their grinding, yeah, daily daily, out.
Speaker 6 (09:46):
There doing yeomen's work. But you know, also the the
Eagles are, they're gonna be a little dinged up there
with Fletcher, Cox and Cunningham their running backs. So they're
going to have these these injuries to overcome.
Speaker 4 (09:56):
And you know, Brock.
Speaker 6 (09:58):
Party has looked like the Brock Party from earlier in
the season. He you know, he turned the ball over
one time, but he he looked great. We saw what
they did against Jacksonville, so it just seems like they're
catching their stride. The Eagles also give up a lot
of yards on the ground to that ground game of
the Bills. And if you're the Bills, boy, they're one
(10:20):
of six teams, by the way, on a CS the
seat that which rex total havoc on everybody's fantasy football team.
Speaker 4 (10:27):
That aside the Bills licking.
Speaker 6 (10:30):
Their wounds at this point in time six and six,
and this is a team that feels good enough to win,
but not good enough to close out games. They had
their opportunities and just.
Speaker 4 (10:43):
Couldn't close the deal.
Speaker 6 (10:45):
And Josh Allen I've said on this podcast, if he
doesn't do the hero ball, that helps him out.
Speaker 4 (10:50):
He didn't do hero ball. He was actually.
Speaker 6 (10:53):
Doing what he could to extend plays to throw the ball.
There was miscommunication with Gabe Davis, which didn't help out,
and those are the source of plays that great teams made.
Speaker 2 (11:05):
And that's where we saw the Eagles.
Speaker 6 (11:07):
They didn't look their best in that first half, but
second half they got that ground game going and then
we saw the greatness of Jalen Hurts. I mean, I
think he's lost only two games against teams with winning records.
He's won over twenty games. I mean, this is a
talented quarterback. Needs to be mentioned as one of the
top qbs, or at least top half qbs in this league.
Speaker 1 (11:30):
Do you remember his first two years in the league. Yeah,
and all the criticism he got. Yeah, So bring that same.
Speaker 6 (11:37):
People thought that they would get a quarterback, they would
draft one, right.
Speaker 1 (11:41):
So bring that same energy for what Jalen is doing now,
game after game, week after week for this team. Tremendous, tremendous.
But I mean both both of these guys. And you
have to give Josh Allen his flowers here, yeah, because
that was not a beautiful loss, but a tough one
because they were so close. He played unbelievably. I think
(12:04):
he got the most Fantasy points of any quarterback this
week for sure, three hundred and thirty nine yards. He
brought into touchdowns on the ground.
Speaker 6 (12:14):
Unbelievable, unbelievab Yeah, that's heartbreaking for Poppy, right, it is.
Speaker 1 (12:18):
It is. He didn't even want to talk to me
about it. He didn't want to talk to me. Toughout.
But you know the other part was so he's upset
that his team lost. But moreover, I don't think they covered.
You know, I don't dabble yeah and that stuff because
we're allowed to. But yeah, there was something about the
spread and I was like, you know what, Dad, that's
a you problem.
Speaker 4 (12:36):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (12:37):
I don't know what to say there.
Speaker 6 (12:39):
Hey, you know what's another great sneaky magup And we
talked about it before we started recording. Was the Texans
and the Broncos because the beginning of the year, who
would have thought this would be one of those games
that would be compelling to watch where the Broncos are
a completely different team at this point in time, as
(12:59):
are the Texans. Who c j Stroud and what he says, yes, yes, no,
that was I was a gut punch where that kick
hitting the crossbar so close.
Speaker 4 (13:13):
Well, we saw like.
Speaker 6 (13:14):
The Eagles and Jake Elliott made that fifty nine yard
or is just ah just another another Yard for the Texans.
Speaker 4 (13:23):
So this is these.
Speaker 6 (13:26):
Are some compelling games that that I am looking forward to.
Speaker 1 (13:31):
I don't have that on my Bengo card.
Speaker 4 (13:33):
Will, Yeah, I know, the.
Speaker 1 (13:34):
Broncos Texans game in week thirteen.
Speaker 4 (13:38):
I know, I know.
Speaker 1 (13:39):
But we've been saying it for set for several several
weeks now. Do not sleep on this Texan squad despite
what their records say. Says sneaky good.
Speaker 6 (13:51):
I know, absolutely sneaky good. I'd like to think that
we're sneaky good. We are going to take a break,
but when we come back, we're going to need that
Bleton no power and perro macho too.
Speaker 4 (14:03):
That's gonna be on the other side. M jan Will.
This is the l Huddle Podcast.

Speaker 1 (15:13):
Mm hmmm crazy.
Speaker 4 (15:15):
Yeah, and just Poppy.
Speaker 1 (15:16):
Is just shout out to every single fan standing there
in the cold.
Speaker 4 (15:21):
Yeah, that's dedication because.
Speaker 1 (15:22):
I'm me tell you, I'm not standing, I'm finding somebody. Sweet,
I'm going inside not having.
Speaker 6 (15:29):
So you know who wants what Philadelphia has right now?
The the culture and the foundation are the Panthers. At
this point in time, the Panthers are searching for answers.
And I think the first thing that they thought after
the start that they've had one in ten let's get
(15:50):
rid of Frank Reich. So now this is, if you're
keeping track at home, the third coach to get fired
in the middle of the season. Here we saw Ron Rivera,
and then Matt Ruhle and then now Frank Reich. So
Panther z owner David Tepper, he addressed reporters and this
is what he had to say about making his decision
(16:12):
to fire Frank Reich.
Speaker 7 (16:16):
I do have patience. I'm just not My reputation away
from this game is one for extreme patience. You know,
there's no reason why that doesn't you know, come here too.
It does now that patience comes with good performance and
things that you want to see progress being made on
different aspects. And as you know, as I said, you know,
(16:37):
I would like to have somebody here for twenty thirty years.
I'd like to have somebody that would say eulogy at
my funeral in thirty years. Okay, maybe it's forty years,
I hope, but that's what I'd like to have.
Speaker 4 (16:49):
He says he's a patient person.
Speaker 6 (16:51):
He also said that in the business world, people don't
leave him, that they are with him for twenty thirty years.
And they made it clear this was a separate situation
and that it is a time for self reflection, that
things are evolving, and he said, Listen Raike is a
(17:12):
great man, but they had to make a change, and
also talked about the commitment to Bryce Young and and
it just he says, the patient aspect of it. But
there are people that are going to say what coach
is going to to to walk into this thinking that
they could be da dead own arrival if they don't
(17:37):
produce results within you know, eleven.
Speaker 1 (17:39):
Games eleven games, right, Because that's the other thing. This
is a rookie quarterback who still needs a lot more
pieces around him. A lot more has to happen on
the other side of it better.
Speaker 2 (17:48):
On the offensive line. The offense is a disaster.
Speaker 1 (17:52):
Correct, so they still need to build that. So I
can see the mental gymnastics of where one in ten
somebody's got to get fired, right, where there's this pressure
across the league, like somebody's got to take the heat
for this. But at what point is there something to
be said for consistency, something to be said for investing
(18:13):
the time into really seeing if this works and adding
the other pieces to really give it a fair shot.
Right right, at the end of the day, this is
also a business.
Speaker 4 (18:23):
It is it is.
Speaker 1 (18:25):
This is also a business.
Speaker 4 (18:26):
So and they don't have a first round pick.
Speaker 6 (18:29):
They gave up a lot yep, and this is going
to take some time to clean this up. And then
you have the juxtaposition of Bryce Young seeing CJ. Stroud
be so successful in Houston. That doesn't help out either.
So some of the early names because he didn't want
(18:50):
to speculate or give any speculation a speculation on the
hiring process.
Speaker 4 (18:56):
But maybe a Bill O'Brien is somebody.
Speaker 6 (18:59):
Maybe you know, but right now, how good does his
resume look with the mac Jones and.
Speaker 2 (19:06):
Bailey Zachy experiences.
Speaker 1 (19:08):
So I don't know that you can make a case
necessarily for that.
Speaker 6 (19:11):
But even he liked Bryce Young though from Alabama, so
maybe that's the connection.
Speaker 4 (19:17):
I don't know. I don't know. That was one of
the early names that.
Speaker 6 (19:20):
Were brought up. Scott Pioli and or Peter Scheger. They
had talked about it. It's like, yeah, maybe those make
sense there. But I just think whoever is going to
step in that situation has to realize they don't have
a lot of slack. They don't have a big runway
a long runway to fail here.
Speaker 1 (19:39):
No, and it's it's I think unfortunately because we put
so much pressure behind these first round picks, right, especially
when you're the first overall. Yeah, and it's it takes
a minute. But if you don't have the pieces around
you and the team is very much in a rebuilding situation,
(19:59):
you have to take all of those things into account.
It's very similar to what we were talking about in the
past walk with Jalen Hurts and how immediately the newspapers
and all the beat writers where I get him out
of here. Yeah, this is a little different for sure,
But I haven't heard people talk too much about Bryce. Yeah,
but yet the coaches and all of that stuff are
taking So I have to wonder what else is going
(20:23):
on behind the veil right like there was. Maybe the
scheme wasn't working, maybe the dynamics of the coaching staff
wasn't working, and that plays a huge part of it
as well. So I think there's a lot to be
resolved with the Panthers right now and the rest of
the season, plus the off season.
Speaker 4 (20:42):
It's going to be really interesting.
Speaker 6 (20:44):
If my mom understood what the situation was in Carolina,
she'd say, Lo, I at your bust it, And I
think that's that's where we are right now. You know, Well,
it's just the whole thing is just just a mess
right now. It's yeah, you know, it's not it's not great,
But you know what is great always for us when
the staples of the program.
Speaker 4 (21:03):
A couple of staples was a program. One of them
Perro Macho, the perro MACHOs.
Speaker 6 (21:11):
They were playing for who Heal, Heal, Heal Heal, so
one of my perro MACHOs. I didn't think I would
ever say this, as Taylor Swift had said, are you
ready for it?
Speaker 4 (21:25):
Oh my god, here we go.
Speaker 6 (21:28):
Broncos quarterback Russell Wilson card not on our Bengal card
at all the way that he is. Honestly, he is
putting touch on those throws. He's also extended plays. It
feels a little bit like the let the Russ Cook
days from before, really utilizing his legs really well. I
(21:52):
think like there they've figured it out with Vance Joseph.
That seventy spot that they gave up to the Dolphins,
that was a wake up call, and and even Sean
Payn saying like they're wearing this thing and this this
Broncos team, this was this was a team that was
a laughing stock. And now Russell Wilson and we talked
(22:14):
about what could may or may not be the authenticity
with him and how he shows in the Broncos Let's
ride is not doing that. I have to say, like
Sean Payton's getting the most out of him right now.
And it seems like this this team this is this
is playoff time here for this team. They they you know,
(22:34):
the AFC is really competitive at this point in time.
And to beat a really good defense in in the Browns,
that was impressive.
Speaker 1 (22:42):
Yeah, I know it was. And you know what, I'm
glad that you named him as Perro Macho because it's
easy to sort of get on a player when the
team is down and all of that, but when they
start to rise back up, which the Broncos have, Yeah, good.
Speaker 4 (22:55):
On and listen.
Speaker 6 (22:56):
Hey, I was one of those people. I thought, like, man,
the Broncos are just a mess. They are circling the
drain and that has not been the case here over
these last few weeks.
Speaker 4 (23:04):
So now they're six and five.
Speaker 6 (23:06):
Another better much of mine is Steelers tight end Pat
Fryer moose. Okay, the mooth is looth, right, that's a
little bit like Mike Tyson I saw.
Speaker 4 (23:17):
I don't know that was just added. I saw that.
It's like on some sort of headline.
Speaker 6 (23:24):
Either way, the reason why I pick him, He's had injuries,
there's been inconsistency.
Speaker 4 (23:30):
In his career.
Speaker 6 (23:31):
But the most overarching thing here is that the Steelers
offense actually had over four hundred yards Wow, they actually.
Speaker 4 (23:41):
Yes, yes, heel, heel.
Speaker 6 (23:44):
That's what we need to see out of these skill
players of the Steelers, because we saw Najie Harris run
the ball with effectiveness.
Speaker 4 (23:54):
You saw what.
Speaker 6 (23:56):
George Pickens can do when he gets those go fly
patterns and he's catching the ball. You know, he didn't
put up great numbers, you know, Pickens and Deontay Johnson,
but a guy like Pat Fryarmuth kind of is the
microcosm of the change in offensive coordinator and Matt Canada
no longer being there, and the fact that this team
(24:17):
did what they did against the Bengals a key divisional game.
Speaker 4 (24:21):
They're seven and four.
Speaker 6 (24:23):
There's seven and four now, so they're squarely in this
playoff race. So es yes, So so those those are
my guys. I know they see him a little bit
out of the out of the box, but I think
Pat fer Russell Wilson maybe an honorable mention to the
(24:44):
to the defense of the Ravens which totally shut down the.
Speaker 4 (24:49):
Chargers. So those are mine.
Speaker 1 (24:51):
I love that. I love that. Okay, you know, oddly enough,
the one thing I didn't have for Thanksgiving was yes,
come on, so now I need a healthy helping.
Speaker 4 (25:04):
Thank you, thank you, little.
Speaker 1 (25:09):
You went outside the box. I'm going inside.
Speaker 4 (25:13):
Inside the box.
Speaker 2 (25:14):
Okay, by box.
Speaker 1 (25:15):
I mean my fantasy squad. Okay, we talked about him earlier.
Speaker 2 (25:23):
Jalen Hurts.
Speaker 1 (25:25):
Jalen Hurts. So here's the thing. I drafted Jalen Hurts
as my QB in both of my fantasy league smart
when he went on the bye week several weeks ago,
I put in one Joshua Dopps. So what I've been
doing lately is on the team. On the league where
I'm trash, I've been starting josh dobbson and in the
(25:46):
in the league where.
Speaker 2 (25:47):
I'm right, I've been starting Jailing Flexibility.
Speaker 1 (25:49):
Yes, I've got a little flexibility, and he did not disappoint.
I think thirty four points was what I got my
records here. I'm also very greedy and strategic when it
comes to my fantasy team because I have tea both
Amuel on both both of my leagues as well, and
welcome back Deebo Samuel. After he came back from injury,
(26:13):
it was a little slow to get off, you know,
to jump back out this Williams one hundred. He's been back,
and of course they have CMC there who does pretty
much what he wants, whatever he wants and can do
it all. And Brandon and I who has been tremendous.
But Deebo Samuel was due for a huge game, and
man did he come through. Twenty two point four fantasy points,
(26:40):
seventy nine rushing yards. The tug caught a few passes
as well. You know that he's a hybrid dynamic type
of guy. Love that for me and for all the
other kinds. And I can report that I won in
both of my fans. The one more, it did help
that my opponent forgot that Joe Burrow is out for
(27:01):
the season and that was her starting quarterback. But checked
out what swoops we'll take the way we will.
Speaker 8 (27:07):
Take the.
Speaker 6 (27:12):
Uh listen to the ie juked You team did well
with Brandon Au seventeen points there, so dj Moore and
actually benched Jamar Chase.
Speaker 4 (27:24):
So that was the big risky move.
Speaker 6 (27:26):
But because Jake Browning is the quarterback there, don't know
what sort of volume you're going to get from any
of these skilled position players of the of the Bengals
there as we veer off in into fantasia, right into
these fantasy teams. Uh, So now we are in the
final portion of the l Huddle podcast. This is the
(27:50):
this is where we put our little spin, our little
bow on everything.
Speaker 4 (27:54):
And you know, my is we had ten.
Speaker 6 (27:57):
Rookie quarterbacks starting, which is unreal for sure. And to
see these guys thrown into the fire, whether it's a
a Will Levis or a c. J.
Speaker 4 (28:09):
Stroud, that's thriving. You know.
Speaker 6 (28:11):
Bryce Young is still trying to find himself and we
hope that he gets those weapons and he gets that
O line figured out, you know, Dorian Thompson Robinson, I mean,
these rookies, they've been forced into this, and you see
how quickly they're able to adjust. And going back to
(28:31):
the David Tepper discussion in the Panthers, he had said
that there was unanimity between the football coaches and the
scouting department that Bryce Young was their guy and c J.
Speaker 4 (28:44):
Stroud wasn't that. And c J.
Speaker 6 (28:46):
Stroud has been able to elevate, you know, And and
you know, hopefully a guy like Anthony Rigson, who is
a quarterback for Indianapolis, he heals up these young quarterbacks.
Speaker 4 (28:57):
I want to see more of what they can do
for sure, you know. And and Will Levis.
Speaker 6 (29:01):
He's shown he's got I mean, he's got guns many
school right, and so I want to see what he
can do with with the Titans, you know, and and
a lot of football will be played to be determined
with these guys. But to your point, with like say
Bryce Young, we just want these guys to produce so
quickly and so fast, and it's it's not always possible.
Speaker 1 (29:21):
And some can, but it's not always the case. And
I think the surroundings have a lot to do with that.
Is I love a touchdown seally, and I know.
Speaker 4 (29:34):
That creative ones.
Speaker 1 (29:36):
I know that our boys A Flowers got some shade
from his quarterback love the bouquet, but he didn't love
the nuance of what he was doing there. His name
is Flowers. He was throwing the bouquet. I thought it
was exegu was it the set up?
Speaker 4 (29:51):
The setup maybe took too long, Maybe that's.
Speaker 1 (29:54):
Right, Tim, I don't know. I thought it was real cute.
I love a touchdown celebration. And then he did the
penalty kick on at the end. But really the bigger
part of this is that these guys are taking some time.
They're really rehearsing, the getting together.
Speaker 2 (30:10):
I love a moment we saw more choreographed for some reason.
Speaker 1 (30:14):
I mean, to be honest, I think that Zay had
a feeling that he was going to get to the
end zone given their opponent. Unfortunately, and it's not to
poop on our chargers here, our neighbors from across the way.
But it has not been great, and I think that
a lot of teams feel like, hey, we could have
an opportunity here, and that is a way for teams
(30:34):
to sort of chirp without chirping, right, Like we had
all of this prepared. We have all this choreography prepared
to go up against you. It is a form of
trash talk if you will. Yeah, but I kind of
love it.
Speaker 4 (30:45):
I like it too.
Speaker 6 (30:46):
There was the celebration that they did within the Texans celebration.
Speaker 4 (30:51):
I think it was like the Tank Dell one with
with c J.
Speaker 6 (30:55):
Stroud and where it's like they're all lined up and
then he knocks, he knocks, Oh yeah, you know, it's
just like.
Speaker 4 (31:01):
So yeah, I just felt more more choreographed.
Speaker 1 (31:04):
Yes, I don't think we've seen as many this year.
We've had a couple of years where it's like full
on choreography week after week. We need more of that, guys.
Speaker 4 (31:16):
Yes we do.
Speaker 6 (31:17):
And we'll see what happens between the Seahawks and the Cowboys.
Maybe there's gonna be some choreographing there, like that's the
game on Thursday night, And we would be REMISSI we
didn't mention the Cowboys on this podcast, given how well
they have played here, how well Dak has looked, how
great Ceedee Lamb has looked.
Speaker 1 (31:36):
How great Dolly Parton wasn't the half type show.
Speaker 6 (31:38):
Well that was like initially, I was a little jarring.
I'm not gonna lie. It's like Dolly coming out, She's
dressed as one of the sad Yeah, I mean it
just was like, didn't expect that.
Speaker 4 (31:49):
Right, But hey, listen, do you Dolly? Do you? Yeah?
And she did.
Speaker 6 (31:56):
But but but Dak Prescott and this offense has looked
so different since the bye week, and they've been fun
to watch.
Speaker 4 (32:04):
Now.
Speaker 6 (32:05):
Ceedee Lamb has seven touchdowns. Do you know who has
five touchdowns after him? Deron Bland Nice. The man has
five pick sixes and he could potentially have more. And
he's probably looking at his chops, looking at Gino Smith
question and and that Seahawks team coming off of that
that performance against the forty nine ers.
Speaker 4 (32:23):
So that's that's Thursday night.
Speaker 1 (32:24):
So who we're rolling?
Speaker 4 (32:27):
Heah, we are thirteen.
Speaker 1 (32:30):
The days are long, but the season is short, you guy.
Well bring us on home.
Speaker 6 (32:34):
Yeah uh hey uh Prima Romana as always a pleasure
back together again with you and our new merch that
we've got, which is awesome these mugs, so boy said Capecito.
Speaker 1 (32:48):
Thank you to our friends. Glad to try and make
my mom's chocolate. The recipe which is really my grandma's chocolate.
Speaker 4 (32:56):
You know, like like in nic Ro.
Speaker 6 (32:57):
There's then called the pino Leo, which is why I
think we've talked about this a little bit like chattah
that they have, you know, I mean just just but
you can have that in any any glass really, but
I just love this mone either way, Listen, we encourage
