Speaker 1 (00:03):
I think anybody working in technology has the natural kind
of challenge of technology is changing so rapidly. Business has
a desire to change, but they don't always move at
the same pace. When when we created toy to Connected,
we talked about what should our goals be when we've
challenged our team members of how can we use data
to make customers lives better? And I'm blown away. You know,
(00:23):
I can give you some examples where, uh, we've come
up with this concept and we're testing it out right now.
Is in in an amber alert, we can pop up
a message on on the person's screening their car and say,
can we use your outward facing camera to work for
this license play? And if you opt in, then you've
got an army of cars that are looking to help,
you know, find a lost child. We can use that
(00:44):
same technology if there's let's say, a wildfire like in
California as there was last year, and maybe we know
that you know that there's toyotas in that area, that
we can light up those cameras let the firefighters know
exactly where the fire is occurring. So I really believe
that technology you or the data isn't about selling more
ads it's about making the world a better place. That's
(01:07):
Zach Hicks of Toyota, North America and nine Jonathan Strickland,
host of The Restless Ones, a podcast from T Mobile
for Business and I Heart Radio. Over the last two seasons,
I got to sit down with some of the most
well respected leaders in technology, leaders like Zach Rob Carter
of FedEx, Rowena yo CTEO of Johnson and Johnson, and
(01:28):
even the c I O for the Army, Dr Raj Eyer,
to hear how they are building for the future, utilizing
the tools and technologies available to them today like cloud
and edge computing, the blockchain, and of course five G connectivity.
Here's Marty Pazlik, chief Information Officer of h c A
Healthcare and Restless One's alumnus, on how five G will
(01:52):
have an immense impact on his business and the healthcare
industry at large. BOGGI has a big part of how
do you create a better experience, whether it's patient or
our caregivers. It starts to open up lots of different
new options for us that just simply didn't exist before.
So to me, I think, you know, five G becomes
(02:15):
one of those foundational technologies of the future that once
you get a little bit to the other side of it,
will reflect back and go, how do we ever do
this without five G? Because I do think it's a
paradigm shifting technology. Technology advancements like those in connectivity are
continuing to change the world at a feverish pace. I'm
(02:37):
thrilled to welcome listeners back for season three of The
Restless Ones to hear how these great leaders are discovering
and utilizing the latest technologies to impact the world on
