I was really struggling with an eating disorder, and when
I was in recovery for the eating disorder, one of
the side effects I had was sexual dysfunction, which I
didn't even know was like a thing for women. Everyone
knows about a rectyle dysfunction. But I was really struggling
with my libido getting aroused, orgasming all that stuff, and

I stumbled upon audio erotica on Tumblr and Reddit, and
that's when I had this aha moment of like, wait,
why isn't this such a stream thing, Why isn't this
the way people master me? Because it just worked for
me immediately, and I felt it was like so reflective
of how I experienced desire and sex because it was

it wasn't voyeuristic, it was like I was in the experience.
It was it was like having sex with someone.

Yeah. Yeah, Well, first of all, thank you for sharing
such a vulnerable truth with us, Like that's really it's
really great. Of you to be open about those things.
And it's really interesting for me to hear you say
that because personally, like I've often been described as somebody
sometimes my boyfriends, because you know, I date men, and
men are kind of always they expect a certain type
of sex and certain stuff, so they'll someone has been like,

you're just not a sexual person, and you know, mine,
I have talked about this before. I'm like, I don't
think that I'm not a sexual person. I think that

just something different for me. And so to hear you

heard too people say that like women often enjoy they're

that is smart and like ethically made and full of
like story and drama. And it's why like fan fiction
is so popular, it's why wat pat is so popular,
romance is the top grossing genre, and audible. So all
these different signs in the world are appointing us in
this direction, but there's never really been like a way

for people to consume this type of content and incorporate
it in their day to day masturbation routines.

Basically, can you talk about the ethical part of it?
And because I know I saw some on Quinn's TikTok,
some of the creators of Quinn on there like being

of mitigates a lot of the ethical concerns that come
up with visual porn. For example, Like one of the
ethical concerns with visual porn is is it ethical to
ask someone to have sex with someone who they're not

attracted to, or who they maybe feel a little unsafe around,
or who they have, you know, who is a stranger
to them, who's a lot older than them, whatever, And
a lot of a lot of times when you're watching
visual porn, right like you're not sure who these people are.
You're not sure like how they got where they are,
Like you don't see any of the conversation around the

kinks that they practice, being like consensual like I would
really like in visual important to see the conversation that
happens where they're like, oh my god, I'm so into
being spanked and slapped and degraded. Can you please do
that to me instead of just jumping right into that, right, yeah,
and so on Quinn right, Like, it's all acting. It's
all voice acting, So that kind of mitigates all those

concerns about the literal sex happening because it doesn't happen,
and it's all these independent voice actors working from the
comfort of their own homes to record their audios, and
it's again acting voice acting. So that's how I kind
of think about it. I know, at least for me,
like especially with free sights, it kind of sometimes makes

it is interesting to think that porn is affecting us

in on Tumblr and Reddit, Twitter sometimes and basically in college,

I was really struggling with an eating disorder, and when
I was in recovery for the eating disorder, one of
the side effects I had was sexual dysfunction, which I
didn't even know was like a thing for women. Everyone
knows about a rectyle dysfunction. But I was really struggling
with my libido getting aroused, orgasming all that stuff, and

I stumbled upon audio erotica on Tumblr and Reddit, and
that's when I had this aha moment of like, wait,
why isn't this such a stream thing, Why isn't this
the way people master me? Because it just worked for
me immediately, and I felt it was like so reflective
of how I experienced desire and sex because it was

it wasn't voyeuristic, it was like I was in the experience.
It was it was like having sex with someone.

Yeah. Yeah, Well, first of all, thank you for sharing
such a vulnerable truth with us, Like that's really it's
really great. Of you to be open about those things.
And it's really interesting for me to hear you say
that because personally, like I've often been described as somebody
sometimes my boyfriends, because you know, I date men, and
men are kind of always they expect a certain type
of sex and certain stuff, so they'll someone has been like,

you're just not a sexual person, and you know, mine,
I have talked about this before. I'm like, I don't
think that I'm not a sexual person. I think that
I just get turned on differently. I think that there's
just something different for me. And so to hear you
kind of say that you kind of found your things,

proves the point that we're all allowed to express ourselves

heard too people say that like women often enjoy they're

that's one big takeaway from my journey, like building Quinn

is like women are so smart, and they want content
that is smart and like ethically made and full of
like story and drama. And it's why like fan fiction
is so popular, it's why wat pat is so popular,
romance is the top grossing genre, and audible. So all
these different signs in the world are appointing us in
this direction, but there's never really been like a way

for people to consume this type of content and incorporate
it in their day to day masturbation routines.

Basically, can you talk about the ethical part of it?
And because I know I saw some on Quinn's TikTok,
some of the creators of Quinn on there like being

interviewed and I'm like, oh my god, like putting a
face to or putting yeah, putting a face to the voice.

Yeah, Well it's you know, I always say, like, it's
definitely possible for audio erotica to be unethical, just like
it's and it's also possible for visual porn to be ethical,
Like you could imagine, like with audio erotica, imagine we

be unethical. So it's not that like everything in audio

erotica is is it like one hundred percent? You know
what I mean? It's not like the category itself, but
it's the way like audio erotica as a genre sort
of mitigates a lot of the ethical concerns that come
up with visual porn. For example, Like one of the
ethical concerns with visual porn is is it ethical to
ask someone to have sex with someone who they're not

attracted to, or who they maybe feel a little unsafe around,
or who they have, you know, who is a stranger
to them, who's a lot older than them, whatever, And
a lot of a lot of times when you're watching
visual porn, right like you're not sure who these people are.
You're not sure like how they got where they are,
Like you don't see any of the conversation around the

kinks that they practice, being like consensual like I would
really like in visual important to see the conversation that
happens where they're like, oh my god, I'm so into
being spanked and slapped and degraded. Can you please do
that to me instead of just jumping right into that, right, yeah,
and so on Quinn right, Like, it's all acting. It's
all voice acting, So that kind of mitigates all those

concerns about the literal sex happening because it doesn't happen,
and it's all these independent voice actors working from the
comfort of their own homes to record their audios, and
it's again acting voice acting. So that's how I kind
of think about it. I know, at least for me,
like especially with free sights, it kind of sometimes makes

me feel confused and icky because I'm not sure.

You know, I was in an abusive relationship for years
and I kind of lost sight of my own pleasure
and making myself feel good and feeling empowered in my
body and Quinn helped me, you know.

Find that again. And or people who have.

Struggled with body image or eating disorders or anything like that.
It really runs the gamut. But my goal is to
introduce more like female forward, mutually pleasurable sex into the
world because so much of sex for women is like
dominated by this male gaze. What feels good for men

serving men like script that we haven't figured out as
a society how to break out of. And I think
it really impacts self esteem for women and bleeds into
other parts of their lives, and that doesn't just women.

I was just thinking to to your point, I feel
like porn is kind of like given. I mean, look,
I phredominantly or only almost exclusively have sex with men,
and it's interesting to kind of just see how not
only just what men expect sex to be like now,
or like even just things that you know, have been
kind of perpetuated through porn. Like I was watching this

thing the other day that was saying that there is
I forgot what the statistic is about how much sex
couples actually do engage in, But a lot of men
always think that other men are having more sex than them,
so like they'll kind of be like, well, that couple
seems like to be having sex all the time. But
I think for the most part, most couples, you know,

after a while, we all know that they're like, well,
I don't want to like not exactly right now. So
it is interesting to think that porn is affecting us
in different ways so y'all. Even kind of diving into
and going down a different road to see what else
is turning people on is really interesting. I didn't want
to ask too though, if there if you would say

that it's a queer friendly app as well.

Kind of dive into that because I think it can
also be described as like performative sex versus pleasure driven sex,

I think by and large we've been accepted, But I
think the bigger like we get, the more pushback there is,
like people see us as something serious rather than something
like silly. I think one thing that I always stress
is that my beef is never with like sex workers.

I feel that like we tend at a society to
blame the people that are the most visible in a
given industry, right, but actually, like the problem the problems
that are in the porn industry are not unique to
the porn industry and also have to do with these systems,
and like the massive corporations behind the porn industry, not

the individual sex workers who are doing their best, doing
an amazing job, and like keeping our society afloat quite frankly.
So I think that's something that I always try to
clarify because when I'm like critiquing porn or sharing my
feelings on porn, it's never about the actual sex workers,
you know.

What I mean? Do you consider yourself porn?

I feel like it's better classified as like erotica, erotic
perform Rman's erotic storytelling. That said, like people call us

So yeah, oh, I did want to know, like, because
it's audio, why I know that it's also like data
as well. People talk about it and it's like a
scientific thing. But why do you why do you think
that women prefer I know that we kind of tapped
into that as well, but why do you what? What
is like maybe your opinion and why you think that
they prefer it?

Okay, I think one thing that everyone loves, but I
noticed like really resonates with women is the feeling of
being desired, and like you in particular, being desired is
like really hot, you know, And it's again kind of
a different thing than watching two other people who desire
each other.

It's like you yourself feeling desired.

Yeah, and it's in your brain like it's in it's
coming through your ears and it like directly in there,
and so it feels like and I like that they'll
play with like in different ears, Like they'll play with

like sometimes I'm like I need the story to be set,

It tells you everything before you get into it, so
there's no surprises like if there's gonna be like spanking sounds,

and he was talking about her and I was like, wait,
hold on a second, I actually think that would be
a really good name. And I just liked that it

was sort of androgynist. It felt a little bit techy
but also kind of cute, and so.

We went with Yeah, it's perfect also too, if you're
talking over breakfast with somebody and you're talking about this
