Speaker 1 (00:02):
Welcome to the Super Secret Bestie Club meditation. Today we
will be talking about manifest station. Yes, masturbation, no manifest
sation and that's a fast word. Get in here. My
(00:23):
name is Curly and I'm Maya, and welcome to the
Super Secret Bestie Club podcast, a super secret club where
we talk about super secret things, super secret, more time secret.
In each episode, we'll talk about love, friendships, heartbreaks, men,
and of course our favorite secrets. Well, Maya, here we
(00:45):
are yet again discussing truly one of our favorite topics
to talk about in our everyday life, manifestation. I will
say the other word, you know what, I think we've
manifested each other. I agree in this conversation. I agree.
I also would like to say that I yes, I
agree completely and it is something that we talk about
and we really believe in, and this is something that
(01:06):
we practice in our daily we do. For those who
don't know what manifestation is, can you give us a
little inside Curly? Yes. According to Oprah Daily dot com,
um manifestation is bringing something tangible into your life through
attraction and belief. I e. If you think it, it
will come. As Angelina Lombardo, the author of a spiritual
(01:28):
entrepreneur said, manifest thing is making everything you want to
feel and experience a reality via your thoughts, actions, beliefs,
and emotions. By the way, I said actions like that
because they put it in italics. Oh, emphasis on the
actions though, it's not just thinking about it. Emphasis on
the action. This is so on the action. How did
(01:50):
you first hear about manifestation? I heard it from The Secret.
My mom had a DVD a box set, and my
mom watched it and I was like, what is it?
And I just vividly remember then being like, your thoughts
can manifest into reality, and it was like, I can
make an elephant appear in my living. For those of
(02:14):
you who don't know what The Secret is, it is
the best selling book from two thousand and six that
I believe was a DVD first that became a book
or something like that. But there was like a like,
there's a documentary. I think it's on YouTube now and
it was on Netflix I think for a while. And
it's basically it's really dramatic. It is it feels like
where it's almost felt a little like a cult. It's cold, okay,
(02:38):
So like when it first starts out, they go thoughts
are things and you're like what And then I don't
know if you've ever noticed a mile, but if you
ever watched it again in the background, you hear them
go the secret oh God. Like it's just I don't
want to watch anything where there's anybody whispering in the background.
But I will say this it works. Why do you
(03:00):
think it was so trendy? Why do you get blew
up so much? I think a lot of people want
different tools to be successful. I think any piece of
information or tools that they can quickly implement is a
little bit addicting. Especially with weight loss fads and trends.
(03:20):
There's a bunch of different things and like lose weight
fast and this is a little bit like that, but
not really. I think it was more tastefully done. But
it definitely did a very good job of just making
you believe it because it just makes sense. But you're
also a little bit like what is it? It becomes
a thing of like, well, first of all, Oprah said it,
(03:42):
so you're like, I feel like it's a fancy smanshy
way of saying fun us and know there's a lot
of geese and fancy, like what do you want to
do what do you want to do with your life? Okay,
well then make a collage and sit down and make
it happen in think about it and no, breathe it
and do it. Breathe and love it and do it.
(04:03):
You know. Yeah, it was a lot of vision boards
and all of that is great. I think any tools
to help anyone get clearer on their path is amazing. Absolutely.
I did want to say before two and this is
both of us. This is kind of like a disclaimer
that we recognize that talking about manifestation and kind of
the cold concept of it is really a thing of privilege.
(04:25):
And so if you are in a space where you
can sit down and think of a better future, please
recognize that you are coming from a place of privilege.
You are in a much better space than so many
people are in the world. And so this conversation is
not blindly talking about Yeah. I think it's a little
icky when people just say the reason why I'm successful
(04:47):
is because I thought about it or manifested it and
I'm done, like and that's it. Like, you can't tell
people who just sit down and think about what you
want to make a vision board and it will happen.
There's a lot of things that people are going through.
It's easier for some and harder for others. So um, yeah,
we just wanted to disclaim we are aware of all
(05:08):
the things as well, like what about people who are
sick or what about people who have gone to trauma?
Like did they was it manifestation their part? And it's like,
that's not We don't want to go into that. We
just want to kind of like talk about the aspect
of what has worked for us in our own individual
experiences and how we have seen manifestation help us grow
and get to where we want to be. And other
(05:28):
celebrities are like people like Oprah, you know, seeing how
they started and it's just very interesting. I think there's
nothing wrong with talking about your mindset. I love that absolutely.
What do you think manifestation is to me? It's like
I say I want it and then it shows up
for me the next day. What do you really say?
(05:49):
You go, yeah, I say give it to me, give
it to me now in a very aggressive way. How
you usually say it? Give it to me now? Uh me? Manifestation?
Yea like a little baby that I might do it.
I know, what did I do the other day? There's
this TikTok sound that's like Miley sar Is. She's singing.
(06:13):
If you're on TikTok, she goes, what does in mine?
What guys? I nine so good? It's like she's screaming. However,
they can use that sound in their situation or scenario.
You're saying it. The other day while I was on
the toilet and I was cackling in the glad I
could glad that I could contribute to the toilet humor.
(06:35):
But yeah, Manifestation to me is basically a culmination of
your wants and desires if they're aligned with whatever your
spiritual soul contract is, and those things coming to life
when something that you want becomes reality. That's what it
(06:55):
means to me. What about you? I think for me,
manifesting is kind of another their word again for focus.
But it also feels like spells, like prayer. It feels
like how do you connect to the larger source, something
that is bigger than you um to ask for guidance, help,
a vision for yourself that you have wanted that you
(07:17):
think will help you fulfill a larger destiny for yourself.
It is like a dance with the universe. What is
it that you want? What is it that you think
you want? What are the lessons that you're wanting. What's
the place that you want to land in. How do
you feel like you manifest? Though I'm manifest very visually
and not with vision boards. I know a lot of
(07:39):
people have like vision board workshops, and that's great. I
think I get very distracted. I don't specifically want this
other person's face in my vision board. I don't know
who they are, or like just certain things I don't know,
just kind of like it just doesn't work for me.
But what works for me is visualizing and dreaming and
(07:59):
dage dreaming about all that stuff. Maybe it's because I
have a lot of pisces in my chart and we're
known to do that. But I will sometimes sit down
and visualize with my eyes open. If there's something that
I want, I will visualize myself in that situation, already
having it, enjoying it, and almost like a movie. And
(08:20):
that's kind of how I get a lot of my
downloads for my videos is through little movies in my
head of like every single video I've done, I've already
seen it in my head before it's even out, and
I feel like, that's maybe like my ancestors or spirits
giving me a little uh, I don't know one up,
I'm like, here do this. I'm like, okay, I'm a
(08:42):
big visualizer, but you manifest differently, right, Yes, I have
two ways that I manifest. I am a feeling manifesto.
So like I'll play a song, I'll play something that
will allow me to tap into the way that I
would like to feel once I have achieved the thing
that I'm looking to achieve. The other thing, too, is
(09:05):
like the other way that I manifest is through surrender.
This is what I want to do, this is what
I would like to achieve, this is where I would
like to get to. But also I surrender to the universe,
to God, to whatever the higher power that you believe in.
And I trust that, which is a huge thing as well,
that it will be brought to me because I already
know that it is on its way. I actually heard
(09:27):
a really good example the other day. Somebody said, it's
like when you order food at a restaurant, you don't
doubt that it's going to come. You know what's gonna come.
You know that you order the spaghetti, the meatballs, you
know spaghetti meatballs is going to show up for me.
I try to have that same attitude like I have
already ordered it, I have already asked for it, therefore,
like it is on its way. I listened to Oprah
(09:47):
Super Soul Sunday and one of the people on today
was the creator of Chicken Soup for the soul. It's
a collection of collections of stories and like he basically
was like he got tonight a hundred amount of times
in the span of a year and a half, like
nobody cared about him, but he really believed in it.
And so it's sometimes it does require a little bit
of a blind faith of being like I know I
(10:10):
have something really good. I know that it's going to happen.
I feel it in my heart, in my spirit, in
my butt hole. It is going to come true. And
even if people say no, or people say, you know,
that's not good, it's like, you know what, it takes
one person to say Yet, like Tyra, she said, it
takes one person to say yes. I think of us
as like master manifestos were like we really can think
(10:32):
of something and we focus and we're like it might
not be exactly what we asked for. But it'll be
like a semblance of what we wanted. You have like
an incredible story because you always say like I was
a girl making small little vines in Arizona. Not to
(10:55):
say Arizona like that in Arizona, but I mean like
it's far. It's far from where we are. Yeah, it's
like six hours away driving, an hour away flying, But
Arizona is my hometown. Phoenix, Arizona. Shout out six o
two six to three four it oh, South Phoenix. What's up?
Metro Center? If anyone remembers going to Metro Center, that's
(11:15):
where I used to go to all the time. Anyway,
what's Metro Center? Metro Center is a mall we used
to go to, and for some reason he was on
my mind. Well it doesn't exist anymore. A tribute that
like me being like, shout out to Glendale Galeria. It's
the Well your spot is still it's still around, Okay,
(11:37):
mine isn't and I miss it, and shout out to
the local Chevron and to Metro Center. Mom Parkins theater
right next door. People useduld just go there and make
out and I would just watch them because I was
always sit there. Wheel not a fast thing that I too,
one day was going to make out. I never did
(11:58):
picture this, just a girl in her bedroom making videos.
Then she moved to l A and continue to make videos.
But you were picturing your life that you wanted for yourself.
When because I had watched The Secret at a young age,
and my family was already open to the ideology of
the Secret, and they're very holistic parents, so they have
(12:22):
already brought my brother and up with the concept of
you have the power to do whatever you set your
mind to like, as long as it's full of purpose
and intention. And that was very important for us to
grow up because it just set up our mindset um
to be a little different than some of our peers.
So I was like, Okay, let me test this out.
(12:46):
So Ever, since I was little, I would always be like,
one day, I'm going to be on the Disney Channel,
or one day I'm gonna be on Nickelodeon, or one
day I'm going to do something like that. And I
ended up doing something like that. Right, I've auditioned for
these big networks, didn't get it yet, but one of
my manifestations coming true. I remember I wanted to work
(13:06):
at a certain media company that did videos and that
was very very cool. And everything that I did, every
single video that I made on YouTube that didn't do well,
or every vine that I made, or every blog post,
I would say, this is going to lead me to
l A to work at this company. Every single thing
that I did, I didn't attach any doubts to it.
(13:29):
I was just like, point blank period. It took a
lot of years for me to get there because it
took a lot for me to develop my own voice
and my video resume. So I don't want it to
be like, you know, I just thought about it that
I got it, but it ended up that these people
came to me and asked me if I wanted to
uh interview for a residency there, and then I got
(13:52):
the job later on. So I fully manifested that because
I was very intentional along the way and I was like,
this is a clear vision that I want if it's
meant for me. And I love that so much too
because it also goes to attitude, right, like you could
have been the type reason I was like, oh, I
have to make videos and I have to do this
and one day why aren't people doing this? And but
(14:14):
with intention and your attitude when you're putting stuff into
the universe. That's really Yeah. It was hard though, because
I grew up in the Internet world. Throughout all my
time on Fine all the famous finders, Like I was
around them all and I started and I was bigger
than them, and then they got bigger than me and
then went off to do all these big things, and
(14:36):
I was like, what am I doing wrong? Why not me?
And throughout that time I had to realize, like, it's
just not my time yet. And then later I'm approaching
my time and I get it because back then I
had to work, like I really had to find my
voice and what I wanted to do, and like it's
all trial and error, but I never lost the practice.
(15:00):
It's like a ritual. Every single time I put it out.
I was like, you know what, I'm going to learn
how to do all these different types of videos so
that when I get to that company, I can be
like I can do anything. I could do food videos,
I can do craft videos, I can do comedy like
put me wherever. But throughout I was just like, this
is going to lead me here, you know, And I
ended up doing it. I moved here to l A
(15:22):
and worked there for five years and just left recently,
which is exciting. So left in July. So here I
am now. Yeah, I feel like you can manifest You
can practice in small ways and in big ways. I
sometimes will use different parking. I'm like, you know what,
let me practice my manifestation today when I show up,
(15:44):
I'm going to get parking. Not only am I going
to find parking, I'm gonna find good parking and I'm
gonna find that parking right in front of my front
door of my apartment, and like we're all good. Sometimes
it works, sometimes it doesn't because I've done that where
I like, I am getting manifested. Part Okay, I guess
I'm parking on the street. Well, I always on the streets.
(16:07):
I'm like for that, yeah, for your neighborhood, Yes, yeah, Um.
I also like for me one of the biggest times
that I have seen that manifestation and that I was
like whoa UM was? When with me and my relationship
to the show Viva Stars. Yes, and I remember we
went to the premiere We're gonna vite it to the
premiere and I met one of the actresses, miche Product,
(16:30):
who is now one of my really good friends. UM
and I sat in the audience. UM and I watched
this show play on the big screen Darena. The Marco
song comes out. It's the first song, the first shot
as Chelsea Randon and I remember thinking, this is the
vanity Fair of Latino Latino Latino content, and I wanted
(16:51):
to be a part of it. Um and I didn't
know how to get in it. We were making videos
on the internet. We didn't know anybody in entertainment in
Hollywood in that way. Yeah. We were also like there's
a lot of gate keepers that were like like not
making us feel as accepted except for a few people. Yes,
there's always going to be like this thing of like
influencer world. But we get to the active party, I
(17:13):
meet the creator, Daniel Saracho, and literally we had a
two sentence exchange. I loved your show so much. She
was like, thank you so much. And that was it.
It was interesting because I went to work the next
week and I was like, I have to figure out
how to get on this show. And one thing led
to another. I had a friend that was like, hey, Um,
I work at lions Gate. Now would you be interested
(17:35):
in doing moderating a panel with the writers of EVA
and I was like, oh my god, yes, and so
I went to go moderate this thing, and then another
thing happened where they were like, hey, would you want
to come, and then I became really tight with me.
And by the way, I never had like double intentions
with my relationships or I never was like I have
to get in there. It was a surrender. If it happens,
(17:55):
it happens. Yeah. Curly is very very friendly and like
easy to talk to and just super lovable like I
R L and and everywhere online and stuff. So it's yeah,
when I was watching you go through that stuff, it
was never we're not cloud chasers. Like that's the other
thing too, like I we don't really care, like like,
if it happens, it happens. But one of the things
(18:17):
that I did visually was I do this thing where
I go wildest dreams. I call it wildest Dreams, and
I go without judgment, like without judging yourself and without
allowing other people to judge you. What are your wildest dreams?
And so for me, it was like, you know, would
be really cool if I could be on season two
and season three of the that And I wrote that
(18:37):
in my bio of my Instagram and I screenshot at it.
I deleted it. No one saw the draft, right like
I kept the screenshot um and you know, fast forward,
I became really good friends with the showrunner, with the actresses,
with most of the cast, and I ended up being
on season two and season three and even got invited
to the writer's room. I also as well, like sidebar
(18:58):
and this also just is like me, I didn't cloud Chase.
I was like, it's okay. If I don't get in it,
it's okay. And even the creator, the showrunner, was like no,
I said you were going to be involved. You're going
to be involved, and I was like whoa, Like how
did this happen? And now I have the most beautiful
relationships with these people. I love them like my family,
(19:18):
and I feel like very lucky to have had my
first experience in Hollywood essentially with people that I love
and people who are equally as down to earth and
you got lines and curly you played yourself and like, yeah,
I had to audition to play myself, which was hilarious.
But I think that that was for me the ultimate
(19:39):
thing where I was like, WHOA, how did that happen?
Because truly I knew no one niche came up to
me at the thing. I met Daniel later, I became
friends with Mally later, like all these different things that
just happened, because sometimes the universe, as the Great Michelle
Williams once said, when Jesus says yes no, but it
(20:00):
can say no. Wow. Well you know what's also beautiful
about that is me and Claudia were on season three
and I fully give you credit for that. We were
all together and in proximity, and they also got to
see our work and of course we sent in our
reels and did our own process for it, but because
you got in, we also got into and that whole
(20:23):
thing was really beautiful because I always say, we just
need somebody to get in the door, and then I'm
going to keep the door open and say get and
get and get in like all of our all of
our friends into this industry. And I think that was
a moment that like, because of your manifestation and because
you're so giving and loving, it gave me a moment
and Claudia a moment, and that was really helpful for
(20:45):
our careers. So you could have just been like, no,
thank you so much for that. And I mean, honestly,
it really is. It trickles right because niche products like
that was like that. All the people in the cast,
they're very much like, get in here, do this, So
it does trickle down, and it is a thing of
this industry doesn't often give us and we don't want
it straight too far, but it doesn't give us opportunities
(21:06):
as often. So how do we all get in here
and join together? And I think our manifestations. And when
you're manifesting and you work in an industry like this
and you have a lot of peers and that who
have the same dreams as you, it's good to just
share some of your manifestations too. I always visualize like
all of us doing it on a bigger scale and
(21:29):
really being in something. Well, look at us. Another thing
that I really do is I don't manifest just for myself.
I'm manifest for people that I love, and I do
this thing where I imagine that I'm running and I'm
racing towards this thing and I'm so happy and I'm
so excited. And I looked to the side of me
and I see people that I love and we are
thriving and we are running together, and there's space for
(21:50):
me there's space for you, and we're doing it. I
don't want to get to the top alone. I don't
want to manifest alone. So I'm manifest for others too,
and that also brings a lot of energy to my
own dreams because I'm like, let's do it together. When
you're manifesting, think of your peers also. I think we're
all human and we're all trying to do this and
(22:11):
it's just a lot easier when we're in it with
each other together forever. Welcome to the astrology portion. Which
(22:31):
signs do you think are good at manifesting? Curly, Um,
I feel like to me, I've seen that capricorn Aries, Virgo,
and Tauruses are really good at making things happen. I
think they manifest in a way that's very almost like
public facing too. I know a lot of the other
(22:52):
signs are very dreamy and will manifest on their own
and then it'll just happen. But yeah, with those signs
that you listed, i'd to me feel the same. I've
seen a lot of like my friends who are those
signs on Twitter being like I will get this one day, yes, yes,
And I feel some other signs also are great manifestos.
(23:12):
They just do it a little more quietly. I see
Pisces cancers. I always joke that an Aries is like
a much at day and they go through the field
like ye, and then they're like, where are we're going
this way? I feel like Capricorns are a lot more
ruthless and how they do it. Capricorn on your side
is a great way to do it. And I think
that virticals are very calculated, like Okay, I'm going to
(23:33):
take the one on one to the thigh Freeway and
then the one ten and and I'm going to plan
the whole trip, but they'll get you there. And so
different people have different things. I think, yes, Capricorns, we
love you, you know, but you guys are intense sometimes
I told just all the time, I'm like, why are
you like this? Yes, it's very intense, But this is
(23:54):
not a slandering of Capricorns. It is just welcome to
your intervention. Capricorn keep trying to save you, and then
you just keep saying something else. Yeah, I agree. I
think every single sign has their own way of manifesting,
and none is better or more powerful than each other.
(24:17):
I think it's a combination of what you have in
your chart. I think, what's your rising sign, what's your
Mars sign, because that's the planet of aggression and also mercury,
and there's a lot of things that can determine your
work ethic. Look in your tenth and ninth house, that's
like your house of career. Look at those things. I
(24:39):
think eleventh house to may be wrong. Anyway, that's the
astrology portion. To recap this episode, how do you plead
like this? Please they'll please. No. Manifestation is not only
what you think, but once you do. Like Oprah says,
look is when opportunity meets preparation. Absolutely recap you can
(25:01):
do it. Just have a little faith, think about it.
Do it. However, you need to remind yourself of the goal. Everything,
every intention, every thought should be, like Maya said, like
just another stone in the pathway to your dreams and
your goal. And also you are deserving of it. I
think that's the biggest thing about manifestation. You are deserving
(25:22):
of it. If you don't feel like you're deserving of it,
and you're just kind of putting the thoughts out there
like something will happen, but imagine if you actually leaned
into it. So true and I'm working on it too,
So don't be hard on yourself. If you're still working
on it, believe in yourself or I'll kick you in
the ship believing yourself. The rest is up to you.
Thank you so much everyone for listening to this episode.
