Speaker 1 (00:02):
Welcome to a trap Nurse podcast.

Speaker 2 (00:04):
Side question, Welcome everybody to the Trapped Nerves pod cast.
And today we're doing a little kickback me and my
boy vix Vast, co host of the Trap Nerse podcast.
We're doing a little kid back today and we're gonna
talk about Tack On Titan, the series finale. They came

(00:25):
out this past week. He had cruncher roll servers in
the bond. They were shutting everything down.

Speaker 1 (00:31):
Everything.

Speaker 2 (00:33):
Every time a big anime drop, Cruncher roll service cannot
handle it at all.

Speaker 3 (00:37):
But except one piece.

Speaker 1 (00:39):
But we're not gonna talk about that one piece. I
just I keep trying to get caught up. It's too hard, Tony,
It's too hard.

Speaker 2 (00:48):
But we're talking about Attack on Titan, the serious nale,
one of the most epic anime ever created. And we're
gonna see if we're gonna put this anime in our
top ten, in the top five after we built the
review man, it might be some movement, cause a lot
of people been talking top five for their inning and
a lot of people don't like the ending.

Speaker 1 (01:03):
A lot of people love the ending.

Speaker 2 (01:05):
But I heard this is some simple changes that happened
from the Monk from the manga to this serious anime.

Speaker 1 (01:10):
They flish some stuff out. Some of the stuff in
the mango was a lot simpler.

Speaker 2 (01:13):
So I see why people like this animated serious analo
better Tony waits your thought on the finale.

Speaker 3 (01:19):
Yeah, so I was. I was told that the in
the manga they don't talk about the whole exposition with
like Armin and Aaron does not happen. And if that
didn't happen and I saw this, I'd be confused too.
I would understand because.

Speaker 2 (01:33):
In the series, Uh Aaron, he talks to them and
explains to them and everything that happened and why he's
doing everything. He gives the estimation of your mirror and
all that stuff. But it happened in the past, if
you've seen in the last season Serious season four ending,
part two, I guess. But Uh Armin, he like had
a big shock on the ship when they was going

(01:54):
to parad when they was going to find Aaron.

Speaker 1 (01:57):
I was like, what was that? They never explained that,
So they explaining it was where Aaron was talking to him.

Speaker 2 (02:01):
He went and talked to all of them, Mikasa, Jean, Connie,
Ryan or Annie got to talk all I gotta talk
himself for peak because like that, like that, but he
explained everything that happened.

Speaker 1 (02:15):
When he did everything.

Speaker 2 (02:16):
It was really hard felming the one with the arm
and him to talk arming and Aaron head.

Speaker 1 (02:21):
It was really really really hard feeling. I really like, uh,
but yeah.

Speaker 3 (02:25):
You know what I gotta say, some people are so homophobic, bro.
I'm sorry, y'all were robbed. Y'all were robbed of true bromance.

Speaker 1 (02:34):
True you love you think they should have been together?

Speaker 3 (02:37):
No true bromance, Bro, they don't. They don't know what
friendship is like that.

Speaker 1 (02:40):
It runs that Yeah, people saying they thought they were kids.
I like, where did y'all get that from?

Speaker 2 (02:44):
They just seemed like homie to me, y'all ain't never hookedy'll.
I don't understand that at all, man. But uh yeah
it was really really good man. Uh, Tony as the
series as a whole, Counting this series finale, do you
see this making this to.

Speaker 1 (02:58):
Your top ten? Top ten? Top five? Where would you
put put Attack on Titan now that the series is over?

Speaker 3 (03:04):
It's definitely my top five overall. I was actually watching
more clips today from Attack on Titan because I mean,
it's just so it's so good to go back onto.

Speaker 2 (03:13):
And see how everything developed and stuff like that. Homie
Homie gas lit itself killed oh Mand, he his own man,
and that drove him to do all this stuff. But
it was him that killed in the first place.

Speaker 3 (03:26):
Man.

Speaker 2 (03:26):
And it's it's really interesting how they how the found
the Titan powers work like everything is all at once.
There's no past or future. That would really missing my
mind too. I can understand how all this.

Speaker 3 (03:37):
Yeah, that's what he said. He's like, I'm going crazy.
I don't I don't know where I am anytime any like,
I just don't and it's driving me crazy, and I
would too.

Speaker 1 (03:46):
True. True, but you you put this in your top five.

Speaker 2 (03:51):
Yeah, I have to flesh out my listen a little
bit more right now. I'm gonna say it's top ten
for sure, because because it's a lot of animates I
don't watch over the years, and some of them I
ain't seeing about five ten years, like I ain't seen
showing about ten years, so I would have.

Speaker 3 (04:05):
To know on this that's true.

Speaker 1 (04:07):
Yeah, but it's definitely in my top ten.

Speaker 2 (04:09):
So I think I think he did a good job
on this finale though, because it's I'm glad It's not
like the mong what the monk is like where people
are saying like they're explaining that stuff. I don't understand
what was happening in Monga man at all Man as
a whole though this finale, you give this what you
give this out of ten Tony.

Speaker 3 (04:26):
This is like a strong nine for me. And the
only reason I'm kind of docking it is because of
the end credit sequence.

Speaker 2 (04:35):
Well, let me say the one in the credit secuts
that I had a problem with this. See if you
have the same opinion as me, I just have a
problem with the one where the dog and the boy going.

Speaker 1 (04:43):
Into the tree.

Speaker 2 (04:44):
Yes, and to seem like that means that all the
stuff that it didn't really take away the Titan pal
so they're all over.

Speaker 1 (04:49):
That's all the problem I have. That's the same problem
you have to.

Speaker 3 (04:52):
That is the exact same problem. I mean, it's it's
that and then the whole like I don't know, the
whole message was that war happen no matter whatever. I
could have gone without it.

Speaker 2 (05:02):
I got it for you. I could get I could
see that that That makes sense to me. Humans are dumb.
They gonna fight regardless. If Aaron would have would have
wiped out one hundred percent instead of eighty percent. The
people on parad Parody Island, they would have still been fighting.

Speaker 1 (05:15):
In with.

Speaker 3 (05:17):
Would have happened anyway, I get that.

Speaker 2 (05:19):
But the part with the boy and that, I said,
I know, goodwill, they ain't saying that this whole thing
gonna happen again with the tightens and stuff.

Speaker 1 (05:25):
That's just weird to me.

Speaker 3 (05:26):
And they are because that's where the worm is or whatever,
that's under the tree, you know. And I could have
gone without that. I'll just say I could have gone
without that. Personally. I get that the creator was pressured
into doing that by you know, the producers or whatever,
to have it open ended so they can pick it
up whenever they want.

Speaker 1 (05:43):
No.

Speaker 2 (05:44):
No, the story should have wrapped up there with with
the dollar getting destroyed by nukes.

Speaker 1 (05:49):
Man. That should have that should have been the end
of it.

Speaker 2 (05:51):
Man, after hundreds of years however long it was, how
that all the technologies came and all that stuff, it
should just ended after that. The dog and the boy Seene,
that was just weird to me. I didn't like it all.
I'm with you, Tony. I'm giving a nine out of
ten because of that. That like it felt like it
cheaping the whole experience of the movie to me, Ye.

Speaker 1 (06:08):
Did. I really didn't like that. Man.

Speaker 2 (06:10):
It's like it's like Ray being a Papa Team coming
back and the Star Wars Last trilogy like that, that
just negast everything Anakin and Luke did.

Speaker 1 (06:20):
Man, I don't like it. I don't like.

Speaker 3 (06:23):
I would have liked to see an Army and Annie
like some kind of conclusion there. Didn't get that.

Speaker 2 (06:30):
They never did an anime though Tony. You know that
you never you know, you never get loved conclusions of animes.

Speaker 3 (06:34):
Man.

Speaker 1 (06:35):
That's the problem I really have with anime at most times.

Speaker 3 (06:37):
Man, That's true.

Speaker 1 (06:38):
Like a lot of show do.

Speaker 2 (06:39):
That, man, they never give you like full long confirmation
and stuff like that.

Speaker 1 (06:43):
You did, Oh, yeah, of course it did.

Speaker 2 (06:47):
But and then they did a time jumping yep, yep,
they did all that stuff. Yeah that was before before
they start doing all these shot boy animes, though, Tony.

Speaker 1 (06:55):
Now they do all these shot boy anime. Its weird.

Speaker 3 (06:57):
Yeah, we didn't commit to things. I know.

Speaker 1 (07:01):
But you heard it, right, my boy, Aaron I forgedt
eighty percent of Man.

Speaker 3 (07:07):
I'm still there. I'm still there. I hold my my
heart my hand in my heart and salute Sagao. Man.

Speaker 1 (07:16):
I was all right that way. I'm like, yeah, let's go,
let's go. I'm down. I'm down with all of it.
I'm all.

Speaker 2 (07:21):
But it was a really hard feeling at the end
how he was talking about like how he didn't want
to die, but none didn't wanted to die either.

Speaker 1 (07:26):
Did it turn around? All the blood was in the
water and the footprints and stuff.

Speaker 2 (07:29):
Man, Yeah, how you talking about he he didn't want
to leave Mikerson man and stuff like.

Speaker 1 (07:33):
I really liked that, man.

Speaker 2 (07:34):
It made it made it feel like the old Aaron
again for a minute. And if it felt good, man,
I really like to see he was still inside there.

Speaker 3 (07:40):
So I actually didn't didn't know this. But that whole
little flashback when he's talking to Mikossa on the farm,
is uh, actually happens I think in another timeline. Oh
and yeah, yeah so, And it doesn't explain that in
the show, but that actually all all happened in a

(08:01):
separate timeline that Aaron had them in and he shows Mesa.

Speaker 2 (08:05):
That in the show in the show. In the show,
I think they put it as him coming to visit her.
It's like when he went to visit arm and so
they chat.

Speaker 3 (08:15):
Yeah, so what actually happened was he uh, there's a
timeline where he ran away with me casa after when
they go to off Parody Island, you know, when they're
investigating Marley and he runs away with her instead of
you know, just leaving.

Speaker 1 (08:29):
Them and deciding to go him on the world. Yeah.

Speaker 3 (08:32):
Yeah, it was nice, and I wish they wish it
had said that a little bit because it's not explained
in the anime. But it's cool.

Speaker 2 (08:39):
I'm still like, like, I'm still in Shaka. How good
the serious finale was? Though Tony I thought, I thought, sure.

Speaker 3 (08:45):
John, and when they turned I did too, bro.

Speaker 2 (08:52):
But then when he started talking about oh, take away
the power the time and stuff like that, like okay,
they okay because he said he only killed uh uh
what's meat girl name?

Speaker 3 (09:00):
Oh Sasha?

Speaker 2 (09:01):
Yeah, he said he was on in the general. Well,
her name is the creepy one with the one I
forgot her name too.

Speaker 3 (09:08):
Hunt Yeah, Hanji, I watched her death today too.

Speaker 1 (09:13):
Are you watching death today?

Speaker 3 (09:14):
Yeah? Because I was. I just just browsing attack on
time clips and that one was one of them.

Speaker 1 (09:21):
I went back.

Speaker 2 (09:21):
I went back and look at the episode one today, Tony.
A lot of Easter eggs.

Speaker 3 (09:24):
In there, a lot of I watched it at the
end of the second part. Yeah, even just in that
there's a lot.

Speaker 1 (09:31):
It really hits you. Man.

Speaker 2 (09:32):
But this is to me top ten for sure. But
I gotta wait. I'm gonna flish out my list. I
might do a list on the next episode to see
my top ten animetor but this is top ten for sure.

Speaker 1 (09:41):
I don't know if it's top five of me.

Speaker 2 (09:43):
But I love this man, that's one of the best
animates I had the experience watching the beginning at the end,
even though it took what ten years to finish?

Speaker 3 (09:50):
Ten years? Man, I didn't realize that until the other day. Man,
I was like, whoa, this came out when I was twenty.

Speaker 2 (09:59):
Three years Oh boy, I was a young pup back
then when his anime first started.

Speaker 3 (10:03):
Man, there was a huge hiatus. I didn't even realize
how long.

Speaker 2 (10:07):
Yeah, because because they left mind I think there was
after season two.

Speaker 1 (10:10):
It left everybody in mind and stuff like that.

Speaker 2 (10:13):
The next thing know, they said it was coming back,
and uh yeah, before we get down with all the
little keep backer. Tony ranked from one to four your
favorite season of Attack on Type.

Speaker 3 (10:23):
Oh man, that's see that's hard because it's like I
forget what happened in which season mm hmmm. Uh. I
think four is definitely my top one. Three, probably the
second because of the whole My one of my favorite
scenes in this show is when Reiner and Bertholt get
finally confronted on top of the wall mm hmm, and
they like break down. Ryner has a little breakdown and

(10:45):
oh it's so good. It's so good. The music, by
the way, music is amazing, and it's just amazing.

Speaker 2 (10:52):
That's what Aaron was on the on the top of
the wall, stared the rod and right man beach riding
into the beast tighten man.

Speaker 3 (11:02):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (11:03):
So the second half of season three is one of
one of the best.

Speaker 1 (11:07):
It's the peak anime. Man, the second half of season
three peak anime.

Speaker 2 (11:11):
Uh.

Speaker 3 (11:12):
I don't know. I would say two might come in
the last just because just because it's like, you know,
the filler, the exposition.

Speaker 1 (11:19):
See him rustle Rona for like three episodes straight.

Speaker 3 (11:22):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (11:23):
Yeah, that's my least favorite for sure. One. Season four
was was so good man, the turn that it took.

Speaker 3 (11:29):
Uh.

Speaker 1 (11:30):
The second of season three was so good to me.

Speaker 2 (11:32):
It's hard for me to pick, but my favorite is
probably gonna be the second half of season four, and
then second, I'm gonna go second half of season three. Third,
I'm gonna go season one barely because I love Season
one two, but it did drag on a little bit
too far at the end because then last season two.

Speaker 1 (11:48):
Was really nothing. It was like thirteen episodes so on,
like there was really nothing.

Speaker 3 (11:51):
Man, it was the season I got it put on
hiatus is what it was.

Speaker 1 (11:55):
That season was just whacked me.

Speaker 2 (11:57):
But but overall, Attack on Titan, this series, the finales
a nine ten as a whole, the anime. This is
an eight point five anime out of me for me,
out of as a whole eight point five.

Speaker 1 (12:07):
I love it.

Speaker 3 (12:08):
Yeah, agree, it is worth a watch or rewatch. It's
it's that.

Speaker 1 (12:12):
Good, all right.

Speaker 2 (12:14):
A Tack on Titan A serious finale, man, one of
the greatest anime of all time.

Speaker 1 (12:18):
This experience is over man, so enjoyed wide last.

Speaker 3 (12:20):
Man.

Speaker 1 (12:21):
I know we're gonna be talking about this in the future,
five ten years with your kids or whatever. You're gonna
have them sitting down and look at Attack on Titan.
