Speaker 1 (00:00):
Folks, We're back on the way Coss represented by The
Ring Magazine with breaking news. Let me hit the freaking
thing breaking news in the boxing world, as there are
rumors reports out from the Ring Magazine from others saying
that Ryan Garcia is looking to make his return in
twenty twenty six to take on the WBC welter Weight
(00:24):
Champion of the World, Mario Barrios. And I have some
questions because a lot of stuff's floating around right now,
some things that are being said about what Ryan's next
move is, some things about what Ryan's issues are, some ongoing.
It seems like issues between Ryan Garcia, Ostre de la Joya,
the potential of a Jake Paul fight, because that one's
(00:45):
in jeopardy and we need to talk about it all.
So the breakdown let's go all right. So, like I
said from the Ring Magazine earlier today and Mike Coppinger,
Ryan Garcia and Mario Barrios are closing in on a
deal for THEBBC welterweight title fight in the first quarter
of twenty twenty six, sources told Rings Mike Coppinger, officials
(01:07):
from Ryan Garcia's promoter, Golden Boy, and PBC have been
exchanging contracts per sources. Let's look at the full story
here from Mike Coppinger. It's a couple of days ago.
Now your boy has been traveling all over the place.
We got to get back to work. Ryan Garcia and
Mario Barrios closing on a deal for the WBC welterweight
title fight in the first quarter of next year. Saw
(01:27):
that last month, Garcia said he was interested in challenging
Barrios for his one hundred and forty seven pound title.
Barrios was held to a draw against the legendary Mini
Pacyout in July's title defense in Las Vegas. The fight
was the forty six year old paciaos first in nearly
four years after he came out of retirement. Garcia is
one of boxing's top stars, but he's never won a
world title, and this will be his first title challenge.
(01:48):
He was stopped by Javonte Davis in their twenty twenty
three super fight. Garcia has had a serious disadvantage in
that matchup, as he faced Davis at one hundred and
thirty five pounds with a rehydration clause. Right, So let's
talk about this Number one. Ryan Garcia is getting a
title fight off of a loss to Roly Romero. This
may in Times Square that in its own right is
(02:10):
controversial because it doesn't feel like Ryan Garcia is deserving
of a title fight versus any champion in any weight
class until he goes and gets a win back. But
that being said, we did see him knock down Devin
Haty multiple times, even though the fight ended up being
overturned to a no contest. He had his hand raised
on that night, where ped is a major factor in
that win, where they not. I don't know if we'll
(02:31):
ever get that answer. That's purely subjective up to you
viewers at home. But what I do know is Ryan's
coming off a loss, and usually I wouldn't be humped
about a title fight for a guy coming off a loss.
But in this scenario, and I don't mean this disrespectfully,
Mario Barrios might be the worst world champion in boxing
right now. And I say that because he's coming off
(02:51):
two draws back to back versus opponents he should not
be drawn with as a world champion. Able Ramos in
the first one in Arlington, Texas, on the under card
of Jake Paul, Mike Tyson and that was not a
great fight for him, and then he has a majority
draw versus forty six year old Manny Pacyao who went
in boxed in four years. That is not what a
world champion, sitting world champion should be doing. Those aren't
(03:12):
the type of fights that you should be having draws
in ave O Ramos off six losses and you have
Pakiao coming off four years removed from the sport. He
has losses to Keith Thurman, lost to Jervonte Davis at
one forty. We talk about world champions in the sport
of boxing. They come in all shapes and sizes and
skill levels. And for Mario Barrios, he is holding one
of the most prestigious belts in boxing, the WBC title.
(03:34):
I don't know if it's befitting of some of the
best at one forty seven, the Brian Norman Juniors, the
Devin Hainey's boots in this has now gone from the division,
But those guys are who I look at as the
best at that weight class. I don't class Mario Barrios
in that same respect. I just don't. So if you
were going to, and this is for sure, give a
title shot to Ryan Garcia off a loss, which I
(03:56):
don't think is necessarily right to do. There's no better
guy to do it against Mario Barrios unless you wanted
to give it to Roly Romero because he's there and
he beat Ryan Garcia and he deserves a big fight.
I think I just don't know what they have Roly
lined up for right now as far as what he's
doing next. But when you look at this fight, it's
purely because Ryan Garcia is a household name that he
would get a fight like this. Nobody else off a
(04:16):
loss would get that, and I like Ryan. I think
Ryan Garcia has tons of town. I think Roly was
a tougher fight than he anticipated and maybe trained for.
I'm not going to give excuses to losing fights like
Roly beat him that night, he was the better man,
but I just think that this is not necessarily a
warranted world title shot outside of the fact that Ryan
is a household name and a guy like Roly probably
(04:37):
should be in a better position to fight for the
WBC Belter or whatever, and then you could have the
winner of that fight potentially fighting a Brian Norman Junior
or a Devin Haney. Now what it looks like is
going to happen with this, and these are just rumors,
there's nothing confirmed yet, but this seems to be a
way to potentially try to work back toward that Devon
Haney and Ryan Garcia fight. That's the way I'm looking
(04:58):
at it because ab Devin Haney and Norman Jr. And
by the way, I don't think that fight is just
Devin Haney out boxes and destroys Brian Norman Junior. Something
about that fight and the way that Brian Norman's talking,
We're gonna have interviews coming out, I think either this
week or next probably this week. He is very confident,
and it's not just in the left hook. You're seeing
the feet work. You're seeing him in the gym looking
(05:19):
very very poised and ready for this fight. I just
think that we may be in for a different fight
than just Devin Haney out boxes and with the jab
and moves his feet and that's how he gets it done.
Maybe that happens, but things could I think potentially work
out a little differently. Let's keep an eye on that. Regardless.
The only reason I can think of you put Ryan
Garcia in this position is to hopefully have him beat
(05:40):
Mario Barrios, and again I don't even mean this disrespectfully
to Barrios, but that's the only thing that makes sense here,
and then try to get him in there with hopefully
Devin Haney. Should he beat Brian Norman Junior at one
forty seven, that would be one of the biggest fights
in boxing. Once again, the rematch the thing we all
want to see, regardless of belts or any of that.
But if you do have belts on the line, that
(06:00):
makes it even bigger. So that's what you have now.
There were some rumors before this news came out, before
there were rumors of him fighting Mario Barrios, because again,
right now it's just rumor. We don't have any contracts,
sign we don't have anything of visual and I think,
by the way, I could be wrong about this and
things may change, but I'm pretty sure. Mauricio Suliman said
that Ryan Garcia was never gonna fight for a WBC title. Again,
(06:20):
I don't know if that's changed now. I mean, money
talks in this sport, so maybe it did. I don't know,
But if that is the route they're going, then it
kind of dissuades what I thought may happen, which was
this rumor of Jake Paul and Ryan Garcia fighting on
Netflix to replace Gervonte Davis Jake Paul. If you guys
haven't seen Gervonte Davis in another sexual assault allegation, lawsuits
in coming, potentially criminal charges levied. We don't know yet,
(06:43):
but we know that fight is up in the air,
and I think that fight's not gonna happen, and they're
gonna either have to move the fight back or they're
gonna have to look to replacement or both. I don't know.
And the rumor was one of the replacements was talked
about and even offered to Ryan Garcia. Well, here is
Ryan Garcia's promoter, Ostra de la Hoyas, on that rumor
and what's next for Ryan.
Speaker 2 (07:02):
It's happy Saturday. So I wake up two calls from
reporters asking me about Jake Paul and Ryan Garcia. Let
me just tell you why this fight is not gonna happen.
Ryan Garcia fights for the Zone and Jake Paul fights
on Netflix. I mean, that's pretty much the bottom line.
Golden Boy has a contract with The Zone. Ryan Garcia
(07:24):
has a contract with Golden Boy, And that's just the
way it is. I mean, this is business.
Speaker 3 (07:31):
You know.
Speaker 2 (07:31):
Ryan Garcia is probably going to rant saying, oh, you're
keeping me from making money and this and that and fighting.
Speaker 4 (07:35):
No, you have to you have.
Speaker 2 (07:39):
To go by the law, by the rules. You have
a contract with the Zone, you have a contract with
Golden Boy.
Speaker 4 (07:44):
It just doesn't happen that way.
Speaker 2 (07:45):
So anyway, until next time, We'll see you Saturday were
Virgil or Teas. But again, Ryan Garcia's next fight will
be announced by me who is fighting and when he's
fighting that It.
Speaker 1 (08:02):
Always seems like when Oscar decides to address something with
Ryan Garcia, that he's not only addressing us, the people
that he's addressing Ryan Garcia. He's like through us telling Ryan, no,
you're not fighting Jake Paul, no matter how much you
want to fight. That's what it seems like, is like,
no matter how much you want to fight Jake Paul,
you're not fighting it. I don't even think that was
meant for us. I think that was him telling Ryan.
(08:23):
And even here there he's like, Oh, Ryan's gonna say
I'm keeping in from making money or whatever. But in
this case, Oscar is right. If Ryan is signed to
Golden Boy and Golden Boy is exclusively signed to the
zone for you know, fight rights, then Ryan has to
fight on to own. I think that's pretty reasonable for Oscar.
I didn't know that Golden Boy was exclusive to his own.
I didn't know that was a thing. But if that
(08:44):
is the thing, then yeah, that makes a lot of sense.
And you know, there were pictures going out about Ryan
as soon as his name was linked to rumors of
the Jake Paul fight. He said, going stealth and he's
got the Lamborghini, he's got the freaking bullets on the shoulder,
the commando, I'm assuming the dog toat Oh my lord,
the dog tags. I'm dead. So that those were rumors
(09:06):
that happened, and again you see a bit of the
I don't know what you want to call it, the
breakdown of communication between Oscar de la Hoya and Ryan Garcia,
which continues to be a problem. It seems like, for one,
I think it's a problem keeping Ryan consistently in the
boxing scene because it seems like he wants to do
his own thing. He wants to buy himself out of
his contract, much like Floyd Mayweather did with Oscar de
(09:29):
la Hoya and Golden Boy. I think there's growing tension.
There's always been tension there. I mean there was tension
in the Oscar Duarte fight where d la hoya felt
like he was kind of promoting d'Arte over Ryan Garcia
and he and he, you know, it was it was
a bit of a weird situation there. And then the
you know, the crazy mental snap that Ryan Garcia had,
and you know, the the entire devn Haney fight, and
and everything is boiling up to a point where it
(09:52):
seems like there's gonna be an issue with maybe Ryan
trying to stall out Golden Boy, maybe Golden Boys stalling
out Ryan Garcia. I don't know, but as of right now,
again the rumor is Ryan Garcia Mario Barrios at one
forty seven. I don't even mind the fight. It's just
a matter of principle in boxing, like how does he
get a title shot off, you know, coming off lost
to a guy that does deserve the title fight more
because he beat Ryan Garcia, you know what I'm saying.
(10:13):
So if they're able to get this fight, it would
be a blessing for Ryan Garcia to be able to
walk into a title fight off of the loss and
have the title fight be against Mario Barrio It doesn't
get better than that. I wouldn't say it. It doesn't
get easier than that for Ryan Garcia. Honestly, at one
forty seven, it doesn't get easier than that to grab
a belt. So I think this is a win win
for Ryan Garcia. I mean it's a win for for
Mario Barrios too, because it's a headline matchup. It's a
(10:35):
big time name and it's not Devin Haney or Brian
Norman Junior, so there's that, and you don't have to
fight Roly who just beat Ryan. So if this thing
goes down, I think it's a win for everybody. I
don't know if it's necessarily fair that Ryan gets the
title shot right away after losing to Rolie, but I
want to see the best Ryan possible. It's at one
forty seven. We can't blame the way I want to
see him locked in. I want to see the Ryan
(10:55):
that doesn't come in with the reservations about being himself,
but also isn't just full on crash out. I want
to see the best version of him as a boxer
locked in once again, because if it's not now, it
never will be Ryan Garcia. If this thing is finalized
and they actually agree to terms and get this thing signed.
This is Ryan's opportunity to reclaim all the things that
(11:16):
he was in the amateurs and coming up the guy
that has the fastest hands in that division, best left
hook in the division, and as a better skilled boxer
than you think. Ryan Garcia has an opportunity to reclaim
it all if he can get this fight with Mario Barrios.
What do you guys think? Is it fair that Ryan
gets it? Is it actually gonna happen, or Ryan and
Oscar going to be able to get along long enough
for Ryan to continue to peak in his prime. And
(11:40):
does Mario Barrios even have a shot here. I don't
have those answers, but I guess we'll find out, all right.
So we are back on the way concept presented by
the Ring magazine and today we continue the Jake Paul
versus Davonte Tank David Saga. I think the fight is
going to be completely canceled and rescheduled, and now we
have potential names and some people being ruled out coming
(12:03):
into today. This is not a joke. It was said
by Mike Coppinger and others that the number one candidate
to replace Tank Davis in a Jake Paul fight, probably
on a different date, was going to be Francis Nganu.
What the but we have an update on that and
other potential names that Jake could fight again, I think
on a separate date. And why I think the Jake
(12:24):
and Tank fight is completely off. No more, maybe no more.
We don't think it'll happen. I think it's completely off
and they're moving on. We're gonna talk about all of it,
what I mean, the breakdown, let's go. But before we
do that, guys, I want to say a big thank
you to the sponsor of today's video. First Form folks.
(12:45):
I use first Form for pretty much all of my
supplement needs, and I do so because I'm in the
big thirties now, that's right, I'm UK status. Because of that,
I am taking a little bit longer after Jim sessions
to recover, or I'm taking a little bit longer during
Jim sessions to warm up and recover. And when I
do that, I don't want to just have a great
workout and then completely take it away by using the
wrong supplements or by not keeping a healthy diet. And
(13:08):
one of the things that helps me keep strong and
keep going on is First Forms Formula one. Formula one
is a purer way isolate that allows my muscles to
recover after a hard workout, because it means nothing if
I'm gonna work hard and push myself to my limit.
If I'm not recovering in the right way, it all
goes away. Formula one is an HSF certified product from
(13:30):
First Form which essentially tells you it's been tested and
scrutinized to the highest degree and it's safe for use
for you and your loved one. With twenty three grams
of protein in every single bottle of this Formula one
and a just delicious chocolate milkshake taste, I get to
work out and feel great knowing I'm replenishing what I
lose in every single session. And maybe it's not Formula
one you're into. Maybe it's the Optigreens fifty. Maybe it's
(13:52):
Level one bars or shake, maybe it's the creatine, maybe
it's whatever you would like from First Form. You could
take advantage and get a leg up on your supplementation
today by clicking the link in the description and when
you do so and spend one hundred dollars or more
you're gonna get free shipping on all your First Form
products being sent to you in Folks, I have no
doubt you're gonna be satisfied with all the high level supplementation,
(14:16):
with all the great things that First Form has to offer.
But let's just say you try it for thirty days
and you don't like it First Form, we'll send you
a one hundred and ten percent guaranteed refund if after
those thirty days you send your product back. That's how
confident they are in their product, and how confident I
am to tell you the same. So they can get
First Form for sponsoring this video and for treating me
and you guys like people and not just buyers of products.
(14:38):
They care more about people than they do sales, and
that is why I love this company. Once again, click
the link in the description, and now let's get back
into the breakdown. Okay, really quickly, we have breaking news
from Most Valuable Promotions. November fourteenth, Jake Paul versus Javonte
Davis has officially been canceled. I know that we all
speculated that it would be an I was pretty much
(14:59):
for sure that it would be canceled, But now we
have official confirmation from Most Valuable Promotions, they wrote on
their website. Let's take a look at the entire statement
here and then we'll break it down. Most Valuable Promotions
and Netflix will no longer move forward with Jake Paul
Versus Javonte Davis. Plans remain or a Jake Paul headlined
event on Netflix in twenty twenty five. Most Vible Promotions
(15:21):
and Netflix have announced that Jake Paul Versus Davonte Davis,
originally scheduled for Friday November fourteenth at the Cassea Center
in Miami, Florida, will no longer be moving forward. Quote.
Our team has worked closely with all parties to navigate
this situation responsibly, said in a Kisabadarian, CEO of Most
Viable Promotions. While we will not be moving forward with
this event, our plan still remains for Jake Paul to
(15:43):
headline an event on Netflix in twenty twenty five. Details
regarding new date, location, Jake's opponent, and additional bouts will
be shared as soon as they're finalized. We thank Netflix,
the Cassea Center, and the Seminole hard Rock Hotel and
Casino for their partnership. Most Viable Promotions a preis the
continued support and understanding of our athletes, partner, sponsors, and
(16:04):
fans as we work to finalize updated event plans. Fans
purchase tickets via Ticketmaster for Jake Paul Versus Davonte Davis event,
we'll get an automatic refund through their original point of
purchase within fourteen to twenty one days. Fans who purchased
through secondary markets should contact them. Ticket assistance please contact
ticket office at Heat dot com. MVP thanks everybody for
(16:24):
their patients and looks forward to delivering an extraordinary boxing
event in twenty twenty five live globally on the Zone.
First off, I'll say kudos to MVP for refunding people
that did buy tickets to this event and also navigating
this thing with professionalism, which they did the entire way through.
You got to give them credit for that. They really
stayed quiet on the rumor front and just handled things
(16:45):
as a professional company. That's all you can really ask for.
Jake Paul has in the last couple of hours tweeted
idiot and then God has a Plan always, two things
that I think are both referring to this fight. First Off,
calling Gervonte Davis an idiot, I assume and then obviously,
you know Godden has a plan always referring to this
thing is probably gonna work itself out. Obviously, this video
(17:06):
is dedicated to talking about future opponents for Jake and
potential fight dates. I do have something that I don't
know if it's misinformation or not, but I'm just going
to talk about it here. This is a tweet from
somebody named A Talkers five. I don't know how realistic
this potentially even could be, but this is from four
hours ago. They said two of the female bouts scheduled
(17:29):
for Jake Paul versus Davonte Davis undercard are now scheduled
for December fourteenth on the IBF website. Looks like the
event's going to be pushed back a month. This isn't
anything official. I don't even know if this guy has
any actual credible information. And I will say when you
go to the IBF's website, you see IBF female Junior
featherweight Alicia Bumgarner taking on Leela Baodoon. This was the
(17:52):
fight that was supposed to happen. It's now scheduled for
December fourteenth. I don't know if this is breaking news.
But also another female fight on the undercard schedule for
December fourteenth, both of them being for IBF Championships. That
may be a spoiler, that may be a league that
we just happened to find, and if that's the case,
that would be December fourteenth a Sunday, and I assume
they'd be going head to head with NFL Sunday, something
(18:14):
that the Kisabaderian has been wary of in the past,
going against American football, whether it be college or NFL,
which is why most of these events are held on
a Friday. November fourteenth being a Friday, Fridays make more sense.
So that could just be a whole lot of nonsense
and the IBF just having their dates wrong. Regardless, it
seems as though this statement is confirmed basically everything we've
thought and has been reported by Chris Mannix, Mike Coppinger,
(18:37):
Aria Jwanee, whoever else has been covering this entire thing.
And again, what a massive, massive fumble from Tank Davis,
who is probably going to make forty to fifty million dollars,
sources tell the Rings Mike Coppinger, December twelfth and December
nineteenth are amongst dates being explored for Paul's next event,
andre Ward was approached about his availability. Sources said Nate
(19:01):
Diaz and Francis and Ganhu are also being explored. All right,
the interesting part about this is the potential names being
used as replacement fighters. We had heard that Ryan Garcia
was someone that MVP was going to look to to
say he might be somebody, and I think they even
reached out that he might be someone that could replace
Tank Davis. If you were going to stick with the
(19:22):
exhibition nature of this, if you were going to go okay, listen,
Tank was one hundred and thirty five pounder. Ryot's a
one to forty seven pounder. We can still justify this
exhibition based on weight, but Ryan has more experience. This
would be an easy plug in replace. And honestly, if
you're talking about star power, Tank Davis and Ryan Garcia
had one of the biggest fights in boxing recent boxing
(19:42):
memory in twenty twenty three, did over a million pay
per view buys. Them together was magic, both of them
being a star in their own right. It was an
easy replacement. But Oscar de la Hoya said not up.
So Ryan Garcia's out. And again, if you're looking to
move this date, you move it. To December twelfth or
December nineteenth, that's still only about six weeks away one, two, three,
(20:04):
four or five potentially five or six weeks away, so
it's not like you have a lot of time to
really dilly dally here. If you're really gonna try to
do this event before the end of the year, which
again according to the Ring Magazine December twelfth and December
nineteenth our dates being explored, you're gonna have to get
someone that can kind of just turn up and go fight.
And andre Ward being approached about this is very interesting one.
(20:25):
Andre Ward is and some people's opinion is the greatest
boxer that's ever lived. The actual go he is at
least one of, if not the greatest in recent memory.
Obviously fought a lot lighter, but this is again being
explored as an exhibition, and andre himself has in the
past editor Leo can pull the tweets up, been interested
in fighting Jake Paul, so there's that connection. And again,
(20:46):
if you're going to do something like this, this is
akin to Jake fighting Canelo that was about to happen
earlier this year. That's another one of those fights that
kind of fell through when they were right at the end,
and again, call it bad luck, call it bad business,
call it whatever, for Jake to keep having these issues happen,
and it's not necessarily his fault. It's got to be
just a massive letdown for him trying to make these
big time marquee events. I can't blame him for it,
(21:09):
but it just keeps happening. It feels like I can't
blame him for it. He's not doing anything wrong other
than just trying to make the events happen. But he's
got to feel some type of way about these things
just continually falling through and just flopping. And then you
had Francis and Ganhu's name be thrown around, and that
one right there. I know the way that the boxing
and MMA scene works around Jake. Everybody would be interested
in that fight because that would be the one that
(21:31):
people were like, finally, Jake is going to get knocked out. Finally,
this is the fight where we can actually tune in
and watch Jake get obliterated. That's how the people would
think about that fight, and on the surface of it,
it almost is bewildering in the same way Jake and
Tank is bewildering because of the massive size difference that
Jake would even ask for that fight. But apparently that's
(21:53):
exactly what happened, as Francis and Gan who is now
on record saying they did reach out to him for
a fight.
Speaker 5 (21:59):
So Francis, see your name popping up about it as
a potential replacement for Javonta Davis, We had to go
right to the source. What can you tell us Is
there any possibility that Francis and Ghana will step in
for Javonta Davis and fight Jake Paul.
Speaker 6 (22:13):
No, there's no such a thing happening.
Speaker 1 (22:17):
Basically like, well, shit, I'm not gonna lie. I would
be in line with the rest of combat sports fandom
with this fight because it would be something unique, it
would be something incredible. It's the same reason that I
would be intrigued by a Jake Paul versus Anthony Joshua fight.
Although I would never advise Jake Paul to take a
Anthony Joshua fight, I wouldn't advise him to take a
(22:37):
h Francis and Gan who fight either, because as much
as Anthony is far better, which we saw when they
actually fought Joshua slept, Francis and ganho quicker than me
after too melatonin. I mean it was quick, fast, in
a hurry, completely dominant. But we also saw Francis and
Ganho go toe to toe with the heavyweight champion of
the world at that time. Yes, he was out of shape,
we understand that. But Tyson Fury on that night got
(22:59):
the shot of his life when Francis and Ganu and
I only went toe to toe, but put him down
and danced on it. To this day, I think that
fight could have gone Francis's way, point being there are
levels to this shit, not just in boxing but in
commat in general, and the size difference Francis would have
over Jake would be incredible. What it would have been
a great event and a lot of people would have
tuned in. Francis, though, is saying that's not happening.
Speaker 6 (23:21):
How how can how can they go from like Givonte
Davis to Francis and Gana Like I mean, Givonte Davis,
you see fantastic books, but an easy one shot knockout
at this but come on, like the way different and everything,
it makes no sense.
Speaker 1 (23:41):
It's a good point. I mean, obviously Francis is right
about the waight difference, but it's a good point in
general for what do you do next? Jake has sparred
guys like Shakor Stevenson, ray Ford, Montana love to try
to prepare for Tank Davis. And if even if you
book this fight on December twelfth or December nineteenth, that's
still a completely different fight than you were going into.
(24:05):
Completely different matchup size wise, skill wise, the things that
you're going to need to even try to compete if
it's someone like a Francis and Ghan who or even
an andre Ward or whoever else. Not just the fight
styles different, but the size is different. The way you
have to approach that fight with your size, with your preparation,
it's completely different. This is the time if someone wants
(24:26):
to make a viral moment out of Jake Paul, it's
right now. You look at the last fight he had
on super short notice, a couple of them, really, the
Mike Perry fight, in the Tyron Woodley fight. Yes he
got the knockout in both of those fights, but he
was not the best version of himself. In both of
those fights. He was way overweight, and the Mike Perry
fight that he had to come down and try to
cut the weight last minute and the Tyron Woodleigh fight.
(24:47):
It was a bit of a stagnant pace, with both
guys not really being on their game and not having
their timing until Jake landed the knockout punch. If you
are a fighter that thrives in these kind of moments
where you don't have to have a long camp but
you can be prepared pretty quickly, this would be the
time to get Jake because it's six weeks at the
most until the fight, and they still don't have an opponent,
so we may be doing this into next week where
(25:08):
there's five weeks at the most, maybe four, and that
type of change for Jakes pouring all these smaller guys,
you know, feel like he was going to be the
bigger dude that would pay dividends for whoever does step in.
But again, it's not going to be Francis. But if
it was, oh my goodness, the event it might it
might have gotten even better. To be honest, if it
was going to be Francis, I would have been more
intrigued than I was with Jake and Gravonte.
Speaker 5 (25:29):
Did Jake's team reach out to you and at least
express to see if you were interested?
Speaker 6 (25:35):
Yes, Did you say to reach out the other day
and tell me how they need a replacement for uh,
for Juvante, And after I listen, I wasn't getting it.
Then I say, okay, what can I.
Speaker 4 (25:50):
Do for you?
Speaker 6 (25:51):
What exactly he said, yeah, we're looking for a replacement,
but I still haven't getded. I was like, okay, then,
what exactly can I do for you?
Speaker 1 (26:02):
Frans Is like, no, I hear you. You guys need
a replacement. What does that got to do with me?
Can I reach out to somebody for you is or
somebody that you think I know not knowing? They're like, no,
we need you. Can you do it? Which, again I
think speaks to how baffling the idea that Jake is
going to fight Francis and who really.
Speaker 6 (26:18):
Is He was like yeah, can I like, can you
like we think about you to fact Jake? I'm like,
what so we think about you to fight Jake to
replace I'm like, who's Jake?
Speaker 7 (26:35):
You know?
Speaker 6 (26:35):
Like I was so confused, you know, like I wasn't
expecting that at all. And see chick Paul, you know
he's fighting and I'm like, no, bro, come on, don't
don't I mean, don't disrespect me like that.
Speaker 4 (26:53):
And then.
Speaker 6 (26:55):
They even they say, like, even come out after and
what if the number are good? He sent out some number.
I'm like, it's not about the number. If he was
about the number, we could have start up. I would
have tell you I'm not just interested. He makes no
sense for me. It's not my uh uh what I'm
(27:16):
looking at right now.
Speaker 1 (27:17):
Francis said, don't disrespect me. That's crazy. Now again, I
don't see this as a disrespectful thing for Jake to
go and say, you know, I want to fight Francis,
and hell's he wants to fight Anthony Joshua, the guy
that slept Francis. So it's like, on that level, I
think it's just desperation, and that's exactly what it is.
It's desperation from Jake to fight anybody at this point
because he has an event to say. This is Netflix,
(27:37):
this is a business partnership that they do not want
to lose, in one that they covet very much. For
a good reason. Netflix reaches every part of the planet,
and this is how you keep Jake's name at the
top of boxing. Whether you think he deserves that or not.
Jake is one of the biggest names in the sport
and you know what fair play that they actually did
reach out to Francis. All right, so another breaking news
segment in this video. It keeps happening. I don't know
(28:01):
what is going on, but I wanted to add this
part at the end of the video. Jake Paul has
the entire world of boxing calling him out. On this
November fourth Tuesday, I woke up to see videos from
the likes of Edgar Berlanga, Roly Romero, big time stars
in the boxing scene that want to fight Jake. I mean,
let's take a look at Edgar Berlanga's bizarre video.
Speaker 8 (28:21):
Here.
Speaker 1 (28:28):
Hey, Jake, pick up the phone, Chap, I've been calling you.
Pick up Let's make the fight happen.
Speaker 4 (28:35):
Pick up the phone man, Stop playing fucking Jake.
Speaker 1 (28:55):
I have no idea what I just watched. I legit,
have no idea. Was that some sort of like Edgar
Berlanga doing a skit for the movie Gridiron Gang. I
don't know, no idea. Love Edgar though, he's fucking hilarious.
And then we had this from Early Romero.
Speaker 9 (29:07):
And on top of that, I'm tired of Jake Paul
and all these circus shows he's doing, so I guarantee
you every seeing one of you guys, and one week
of training, I will stop him, and I will. And
all these YouTubers hype because they're wasting our time in
this sport because we want real fights. Why is he
not fighting a cruiserweight? Why is he even wasting his
time with one hundred and thirty five pounder.
Speaker 1 (29:25):
I like how most of these guys are like, ah,
Jake's wasting our time in the sport. We want real fights,
but I'll fight him. It's always the thing. It's like, no,
he should fight a cruiserweight, he should fight someone in size.
We want real fights, but I'll fight him on a
day's notice. You just said that you don't want to
see the bullshit exhibition fights or you don't want to
see the crossover fights, but then you'll fight him, all right.
(29:45):
But that's not why I wanted to do this video today.
And as you can see, my boy Rocky agrees, he's upset.
We're all upset this morning, and that is because Jake,
Paul and Francis and Ghanu are going back and forth
on Twitter. And this is the fight that I didn't
even know twenty four hours ago I would want. And
now I need it in my life. Someone on Twitter
said I need it more than I need shoulders. So
(30:06):
if that's any indication of how much I want to
see this fight, then yes that I agree. So I
wake up and on Twitter, Jake is calling Francis out
again for ducking his offer. Says, dear Francis, just say
you already got humiliated in boxing and are scared to
lose to Jake Paul, I accept that you are LightWork,
my friend, stuck in the mud. Obviously this is trying
to go Francis into a fight. Obviously, this is him
(30:29):
trying to get Francis to react to the quote unquote
disrespect right, Francis said it was disrespectful for him to
even offer them. I don't even know what that means.
If it was so disrespectful, I got to be on
Jake's side here. If it was so disrespectful for Jake
to offer Francis to fight and have him make probably
millions of dollars, why wouldn't you just go and knock
him out for and get paid to do it. Handle
the disrespect by going and getting it done. I know
(30:50):
Francis may not want to be associated with that side
of boxing. Which is you know, the Jake Paul fights,
and he can think it's disrespectful, but I don't see
it that way. I see it as again a very
green boxer in Francis and Kanho, who went the distance
of his fight with that time the WBC heavyweight champion,
you could argue beat him and then got absolutely destroyed
(31:11):
by Anthony Joshua. Yes, he has fought high level competition
for like twelve rounds, the highest level, world level, something
Jake's never done. But he's still very green. And when
Anthony Joshua put the mits on him, he went to sleep.
And again he could be the monster that takes Jake
Paul out. Hell. He could even do it because of
his tweet that he responds to Jake with. It makes
(31:32):
so much sense for the story. Look at this. Choose
your words wisely, boy. I agree that you need someone
to discipline you for what you did to Mike Tyson,
but stay in your lane now, you guys. Remember Francis
has said before that he wanted to punish Jake for
what he did to Mike. Mike obviously coached Francis or
at least to some degree, in the lead up to
the Tyson Fury fight. Mike is one of Francis's idols,
(31:54):
as we can see in his profile picture it's him
and Mike. This would make for the best storyline in
twenty twenty five and boxing Francis and Ghan who trying
to get revenge for Mike Tyson. Mike Tyson maybe even
coaching Francis again against Jake Paul. This would be insane.
I would watch. I would watch every day of the
week and twice on Sunday. Apparently it may be on
(32:15):
a Sunday. Jake respond in my lane, helped your lane? True?
I spoke up for you over and over again. True,
no more. Look at yourself in the mirror. God don't
like ugly. Maybe the truth is you're a fake holier
than now actor when it's always been about just you.
Maybe use your platform to speak on the youth of
your country posting a flag, ain't it, instead of doing
(32:35):
TMZ interviews like a con man to talk about reality check.
I sleep you in boxing and John Jones does in
I Think now. If you remember, Jake was one of
the guys they were both signed with PFL and Jake
was one of the people really pushing for Francis in
the PFL and championing him for getting out of the
UFC and getting out of the contracts that Dana White
(32:55):
had in the UFC, and talking about how generous Francis
was and talking about how he much he deserved all
this stuff, and that at that time was true. But
more and more you're seeing people kind of take the
side of Dana White when talking about Francis and Ghanu
and how he acts behind the scenes versus maybe the
person he portrays. I'm not gonna say that because I
don't know that to me Francis. I've met Francis where
(33:15):
he seems like the most genuine, sweet, nice guy, and
I am happy for him that he got to go
and make millions of dollars doing boxing and you know,
doing his PFL stuff whatever. But they used to work
together and now all bets are off, not now, and
no more friends in the industry. Jake said, you're a
fake holier than now actor when it's always been about
just you maybe use your platform to speak on the
(33:37):
youth of your country. Posting a flag, ain't it? Heymn?
That's crazy that right there is a shot right across
the bout and I don't know that it means anything,
because Francis is pretty much said he's not going to
take the fight. But if this develops into a fight,
this is not only better than the Javonte Davis fight.
This is not only better as far as storyline, as
far as the damage that could potentially happen. It's a
(33:58):
pro fight, potentially at heavyweight. This this is cooking up
to be more personal, more intriguing in two days worth
of promo than anything the Tang Davis fight was at all,
and quite frankly, anything since the Mike Tyson fights. So
I hope this means that we're gonna get something out
of this because they're throwing just shots on social media,
(34:19):
but it doesn't matter unless we get him in the ring.
Francis has another tweet that he's just put out right
before we end this video. You did speak up for
me in the past, but we are still not in
the same lane. Grow up and don't fall so low.
I don't know what that means. I mean again, Jake
is taking some real shots at him there, But I
just the entire thing was they privately reached out to
(34:40):
Francis and Ghanu and Francis went on TMZ after he
was privately reached out to and called it disrespectful and said,
don't disrespect me like that. Francis is the one that
went public with this. Francis was the one that was like,
I'm too good to fight Jake Paul or I'm above this,
and that's when you invite this kind of back and forth.
If he would have just kept it like, hey, you
know what, respectfully, I'm not gonna do that. I'm doing
(35:02):
some other things, then you could have made Jake look
like the asshole in this situation. But when you come
out and you're like, god, that's disrespectful to me. They
were offering me and I was like, okay, what do
you need from me? Like it was, Francis was above that,
and again he may be. But when you go out
and do a TMZ interview off of it, when Jake
and then did this privately and you confirm that you
did not take the fight, there's nothing really I can
say other than if you felt so disrespected by it,
(35:23):
why wouldn't you just go and knock him out? Why
wouldn't you just go and do it. Andre Ward apparently
doesn't feel so disrespected that he's out of doing TMZ interviews.
You know what I'm saying. None of these other boxers
that are above Francis's level, a world champion level fighter
like Roly Romero, Agar Berlanga. Okay, I don't know, but
they don't feel super disrespected by it. And again I'm
not saying you have to equate one thing to another.
Francis's story is just not making a lot of sense here. First,
(35:45):
he's you know, it's disrespectful. Let me laugh it off. Now,
don't be so low. I'm taking the high road, do
you guys? Let me know what you think. This thing
keeps evolving. I want it more, maybe because I can't
have it. It's probably not gonna be the fight. But
what happens with Francis and a guy who and Jake Paul, Well,
what happens with Jake Paul's event? And don't have those answers,
but I guess we'll find out, all right. So we
are back on the way concept presented by The Ring magazine,
(36:08):
and today Chris you Bank Junior and Connor Benn are
facing off. If folks didn't know, and you should know
because it's one of the most anticipated rematches in boxing
right now. Chris youu Bank Junior and Connor Ben are
fighting in about eleven days on November fifteenth. I will
be live for this fight right here on my channel.
Do not miss the watch party of the rematch of
(36:28):
potentially one of the fights of the year the first
time it went down. What happens this time, I don't know,
But today they have their face off, and if we
know anything about when Chris Hubank Junior doesn't need these
faceoffs or any real position where he can speak prior
to a fight, he's usually gonna dominate those occasions, and
it seems like that may be the case here with
(36:49):
a sit down with Connor Ben, because listen, Connor Ben
showed a lot of people how good he could be
in a ring with Chris hu Bank Junior in the
first fight. But on the mic, it's really hard to
be the parliament to represcede you. That's like an Irish version.
I don't know what I was doing there of the
U Banks, but who knows. Maybe we get some new
information here, maybe we get some mind games being played
(37:10):
the second time around. Can you go to the well twice?
If you're Chris you Bank? Can you get Connor Ben
out of his element? Can you get in his head.
Can you get him emotional? If you're Connor Ben, can
you fight back on the mental games that you Bank
played the first time and change the tone of this
fight the second not just fighting on pure emotion but
doing so calculated. It all starts with the face to
(37:32):
face and we have it right now, the breakdown.
Speaker 7 (37:35):
Let's go, Joe Love coming here today, and I'll respect
you Chris foring you a good guy, for you're a
nice guy. You know, you're obviously the people champ.
Speaker 4 (37:45):
Now. So it's like I mixing no no, no, no, no no,
you said to the other people, he said.
Speaker 1 (37:50):
I don't like how I don't like how we got
into this thing with Connor Ben. Just pop it off
right away. I have to think this was started in
the middle of them just going back and forth. And
already it looks like Connor Ben is playing Christy Banks game.
He's already, you know, falling into this. Well, you're the
people's jamp. You're the people's jamp. And I don't know,
(38:11):
it just looks like we're not even thirty seconds in
and he's already emotionally involved.
Speaker 4 (38:16):
Man.
Speaker 1 (38:16):
No, It's like it's like you Bank just walks him
into these traps without even really doing anything.
Speaker 7 (38:22):
And listen, some people are gonna love you, some people
hate you, vice versa. And that's completely fine because we
stand on what we believe we are who we are.
I personally think you're a bit you know, like I
don't like you, but I respect you and I think
you're good at what you do.
Speaker 4 (38:36):
You know, like, yeah it's good. I like it.
Speaker 3 (38:40):
Okay, Yeah, I like it.
Speaker 4 (38:42):
You know this is You're gonna come with you now?
Speaker 3 (38:45):
And you're no, no, this this is who I am.
I am.
Speaker 1 (38:49):
I mean, look at Connor. He's like, yeah, go ahead
and say it. Yeah, say the thing. Get in my head. Yeah,
it's like, dude, we just started. Man even hasn't even
spoken yet, and you're like, yeah, try it, get it
and censored.
Speaker 3 (39:01):
I'm unfiltered. If I see something and I don't like
it or I don't agree with it, I point it out.
So do you. I think I just have a bit
of a you know, I have a more refined way
of of speaking and putting my point across. You think
I'm a that's okay. I've been caught a lot worse
(39:21):
by a lot.
Speaker 4 (39:22):
Oh no, that's just a lot more people just want
of many. Yeah, just one of many. That's I'm sure
you think I'm about that.
Speaker 3 (39:27):
I've heard, Well, I don't. I don't use words like
you know, I have a bit, I have a bit
more in the way.
Speaker 4 (39:41):
Chest, Chris. I know you want to comfort with them
smart fancy words.
Speaker 1 (39:44):
But it's what is counterban is like, yeah, tell me
I'm a piece of ship. Yeah, it's like he's not
even trying to say that. He's just like, I speak
with better verbiage than you do because I don't like
using bad words. I don't even know if Chris, you
banks being genuine here? Who can? But like it is
Connor talking about come on, get it off your chest,
call me a name, call me something bad, Sam Duddy,
(40:06):
come on, name Chris.
Speaker 3 (40:07):
Not smart and fancy. It's just it's the truth, you know.
I know how to. I have a good vocabulary. I
went to private school before I got expelled. I did so.
Speaker 4 (40:17):
I learned you with part of some gangland business in Brian.
Speaker 3 (40:20):
I mean yeah, as a kid, I ran into the
wrong circles for a number of years. But you know
it's uh, you live in you live in your learn
You know. I don't have the tattoos like you, But
I just.
Speaker 4 (40:31):
I'm not fan of outwork. That's all. Yeah, that's my
daughter's name. Yeah, my kids.
Speaker 3 (40:37):
That's interesting.
Speaker 4 (40:38):
I do it for kids. I love them. Everything's for them.
Speaker 3 (40:42):
So we're here now.
Speaker 1 (40:42):
It's so weird. They're both taking little pot shots. Chris
is like, oh, you have tattoos. Does that mean you're
a gangster? Connors like, no, you're the gangster. You went
to private school, but then you were running around in
Brighton with gangs and all this, like the passive aggressive
shots at each other right now, like they're not going
to fight in freaking eleven days. They're doing this whole
like passive aggressive Yeah yeah, well you yeah, yeah.
Speaker 3 (41:04):
Well we're fighting in two months or.
Speaker 4 (41:08):
Should have been fighting.
Speaker 7 (41:09):
That's that's that's why a couple of weeks because why
why are we fighting?
Speaker 4 (41:14):
Oh, we should have been in September. We should be fighting.
Speaker 3 (41:17):
To Mark, Chris, we should.
Speaker 1 (41:19):
Have Okay, So this was filmed a couple of months
ago and they hold on to it. That's that's something
to Own likes to do. So this was originally scheduled
for September. Uh and for whatever reason, Chris, you made
Junior just did not after apparently agreeing to that date,
did not and was not going to be ready for
that fight. I don't know if that was because of
(41:40):
injuries from the first fight or just some gamesmanship. I'm
not sure that they're going to argue about that now.
Speaker 7 (41:47):
Oh no, you're too busy fighting the casino arms and
living that lavish life. And no, no, no, I just
went another the day with my family. That has been
a tough three years. I just went on a lot
of day with my family.
Speaker 3 (41:57):
Car you bought with the white money.
Speaker 4 (42:00):
Do you know what me?
Speaker 7 (42:00):
Every time I jump in, I jump in and I'm
smell pain because you're driving it. That yeah, cools, I
smell pain. I smell undisciplined. I'll smell yeah, smell pine.
I smell paint you as well, that's smooth. Every time
I jump in that roll.
Speaker 4 (42:17):
Is yeah, Chris, I'll go, thank you, Chris, Thank you, Chris.
Speaker 3 (42:20):
I'm happy for you.
Speaker 4 (42:22):
Thank you. No, I'm saying thank you too.
Speaker 3 (42:24):
I'm grateful you enjoy it. You know what.
Speaker 1 (42:26):
Dude, Connor's all over the place. He's saying like, oh yeah,
I smell paint. He's talking about the Rolls Royce he
bought with the money he made from Chris hu Bank
Junior missing weight by like a tenth of a pound
or like a fifth. I don't remember what the terminology was,
but he barely missed weight and the BBB of C,
the British Boxing Border Control find him like five hundred
(42:47):
thousand dollars and gave it to connor Ben. And from
that connor Ben made I guess the purchase of a
rolls and he says, I smell pain when I get
in the car. I smell undisciplined. I wont know what
undipline smells. Smells like undisciplined here, like, what is that?
I think connor Ben is trying to out Chris you
Bank Junior, Chris you Bank Junior. I think he came
(43:09):
into this this time around with the idea that I'm
not going to get emotional. I'm going to try to
outwit him. I'm gonna, you know, play the mind games
with him without getting emotional and do what he did
to me the first time back to him. And I
don't think that's working, and I don't think that's his style.
I don't think that's his game. I think connor Ben
just being himself is probably his best bet as far
(43:31):
as these little back and forth verbally go if he
has to do them, because when you talk to the guy,
he's a genuinely good conversation and he seems like a
bit of a more humble individual. And I know the
PD allegations in his past, they're never gonna be dropped
in the minds of the UK fans. But I've interviewed
him and he's a great guy to talk to. I've
spoken with him outside of the interviews, and I genuinely
(43:52):
like Connor ban I don't mind saying I think he's
a good dude. But when you try to play the
game that Chris you Bank Junior is a master of,
and these kind of mind games back and forth, you're
gonna lose that. I would just rather Connor be himself
than go down this path. Sure if you get a
little emotional on that. Connor himself has said I'm gonna
do the fights with my heart on my sleeve. Where's
the heart of my do that that seems more genuine
(44:13):
than like trying to play the middle games and lose them.
Speaker 3 (44:16):
My life is that material things don't really need.
Speaker 4 (44:19):
Yeah, sitting there, go to Jacket and Chandel listen at
the end of that.
Speaker 3 (44:28):
It doesn't. It doesn't make me happy. I can see
that the material things you have.
Speaker 7 (44:33):
No no, no, no, I really don't. No no, I
live the blessed life just like you makes me happy.
Speaker 4 (44:38):
I just winning. What makes me happy is spending time
with my kids.
Speaker 3 (44:41):
Let's dedicating my life to a sport and show why was.
Speaker 4 (44:45):
You not ready since Umber twenty? Genuine questions? I was
ready or it wasn't because Wembley.
Speaker 3 (44:50):
But I don't need to fight when you want to.
Speaker 7 (44:52):
No, no, it's not when I wanted to fight when
we had agreed, shaking, genuine question. So it's not a
great Wembley was booked by way they it was, uh
maybe what six weeks in negotiations the date then you
set booked, asked me if it was good for that date?
Speaker 4 (45:06):
No problem. What happened, Chris?
Speaker 3 (45:09):
I decided that I didn't want to fight September twentieth
because you did.
Speaker 4 (45:13):
I'll be ready right now.
Speaker 3 (45:17):
I'm ready.
Speaker 4 (45:19):
I was ready for when.
Speaker 1 (45:20):
I am kind of with Connor on this one now again.
Chris is the winner, so he can kind of dictate
a little more about when he wants to fight. He's
kind of the A side at that point. But I'm
with Connor, like, if everything's agreed upon and we got
the venue ready, in the date set and everybody's done it,
and then you you change your mind last minute, you know,
that's kind of some that's weak shit, you know, like
we're trying to get this thing done. We're trying to
(45:41):
keep fans involved and have them interested in this rematch,
and the longer it goes and potentially, you know, you
never know what can happen that that part of it.
I agree with with Connor on Chris should have honored
the September twentieth date. But he is the winner of
the first fight, so if he wants to play the
A side games, he can kind of do that to
the victory go the spoils the twentieth.
Speaker 3 (46:01):
So, you know what, we're not going to do it.
I don't. I didn't give it down. When this kid
wants to fight, We're going to fight. When I want
to fight, I won. I don't have to march to
the beat of these people.
Speaker 8 (46:10):
Would you say that's the genuine reason?
Speaker 3 (46:12):
Is what?
Speaker 4 (46:12):
Would you say?
Speaker 7 (46:14):
Listen, you don't it was an at September twenty. If
it was a September after the fight just coming out
with some nonsense. I mean you you went to a
doctor and had to submit medical evidence to Turkha called
the team or whoever it was to make the fight happen.
So you weren't definitely going to be ready for September twentieth,
so you jumped your little fly back to the UK
(46:37):
to have a meeting to a rearrange the fight. I
wanted to push on for world tiles, Chris, So really,
I'm delaying.
Speaker 3 (46:41):
My good world time. We want to delay.
Speaker 4 (46:44):
I want to get a world title one like you.
I want to get a world tar one like you.
Speaker 1 (46:49):
So again, yeah, this is clearly Chris playing mind games
with connor Ben, and he's not realized. He's like, yeah,
good good, you don't get to go and play in
chase world titles. Good good, obligated to this rematch and
we'll do it on my terms. And connor Ben's upset
about it. You can see he's frustrated. And all Chris
you make is doing is like driving the knife in further,
like good, I'm glad you're upset. I'm glad that you
(47:11):
had to delay your plans. I'm glad that all your
world's idle aspirations are put to the side because you
have to fight me, because I beat you. Remember I
won the fight again. These are the type of things
I don't think Connor should get into, even giving him
credit to being like, oh, you know, I wanted to
fight you, and I'm trying to do other things, and
here you are doing because all he's gonna do is
feed you, bag Junior. All he's gonna do is feed
Chris to be like, yeah, I know, I know that
(47:32):
you had to wait because of me. I know you
can't go and fight world titles because of me. I
want that. I want you to lay further. I want
to get you more emotional. I want you to be
more frustrated, because that's the way you'll fight all this
stuff you're doing. To act like it doesn't bother you,
I know it does, and come fight night, all that
pent up aggression and an emotion it'll come out. That's
exactly what Chris is doing here.
Speaker 4 (47:53):
Next viout.
Speaker 7 (47:54):
People don't get my next about Chris is scheduled at
one four seven. Just to let you know, just in
case you're confused whether I'm a once sixty one schedule,
I'm just I'm just saying you know Chris.
Speaker 3 (48:04):
Look at no, no, no, no, you haven't been for
four years.
Speaker 7 (48:07):
Listen, your last fights, four fights were at one sixty.
Didn't see he wrapped up for any of them. Promo,
it's a document.
Speaker 3 (48:14):
Listen. The way I lose weight is the way I
lose weight.
Speaker 7 (48:16):
Then it's some professional because I'm driving in a brand
new roller because of it's a thank you, let me
do it again, let me.
Speaker 4 (48:23):
Playoff. I'll buy your playoff here and stick you bank
on there as well.
Speaker 3 (48:26):
When you have a sabotaged way up shot you.
Speaker 1 (48:28):
Miss Wait, why would you? Why would Connor buy a
new Rolls Royce and then put the U Bangs plate
name on it? Wouldn't that just I mean again, who
knows what will happen to the second fight? Wouldn't that
just reaffirm that Chris you bak has space in your head.
If you buy a new Roles based on the fact
that he was supposed to misweight again and then put
(48:50):
his name on it, the trash dog should be Yeah,
I'll take that five hundred grand then beat your ass.
And since you stopped me from winning a world title,
I have a belt made with a picture of your
face slumped in the canvas on it's something like that
that kind of demeans him, not like y'all buy a
car and then put your name on it, like you
own the car.
Speaker 8 (49:06):
Connor says, you're not. He's going for world titles, not
even bothered about world time. Of course you're about.
Speaker 3 (49:11):
It's not that I'm not bothered. You know, it's easy
to say I'm going to do this and I'm going
to win this world title and I'm going to get
this opportunity. Boxing is a very political sport. Sometimes it
doesn't matter how hard you want a world time. It
doesn't matter if you're in a position. I've been into
a world champion before and still not gotten those title shots.
At the end of the day, I'm a fighter. I
(49:32):
want to fight. I want the big fights that the
fans won if it's not, well, I'm blessed to be
in a position to where I don't have to fight
for world titles to have the big fights. But does
that mean I don't want to become a world chairman.
Doesn't mean I don't want to fight for world toiles.
Absolutely not. After I dispatch this kid again, for sure,
we're looking to get the time.
Speaker 1 (49:52):
Well, yeah, Chris Hubang Junior. As much as I like him,
I think he's a wordsmith and I love this rivalry
between the two of them. I think it's been well
established that you Bank Junior has never been at world level,
and I don't mean that disrespectfully, but like every time
he stepped up to what potentially could be world level,
he got put back down. And that's not necessarily a
bad thing. But as far as we're talking about world titles,
(50:13):
out of the two of them, Connor Ben probably, I mean,
looking at the titles at one forty seven. We'll see
what happens with this Mario Barrios Ryan Garcia thing, but
he's probably the most likely unless a guy like Devin
Haney or Brian Orman Junior wraps up all the titles
at one forty seven, he's probably the most likely to
get a shot and maybe actually win one. I wouldn't
count on Chris you Bank Junior winning a world title
(50:35):
in his career. You still don't know the answer about
Connor Bin, but out of the two of them, Ben
might have the better shot.
Speaker 3 (50:40):
It was it was it was just being comprehensive. Beat down.
Speaker 4 (50:47):
You jumped down on the floor. Fink God I want that.
Tw Thank god, I want that.
Speaker 3 (50:52):
Well, it wasn't a title.
Speaker 1 (50:56):
Come on, Connor man, come on, this is like a fight.
I'm telling you guys. That's a that's a jab right there.
That Christy Baking Junior landed just a quick jab the
hat and Connor just giving it to him. Just like
the first fight. He gave away too many jabs, too
many free punches to try to land Haymakers, and and
then there's back and forth. His hay makers ain't landing.
The motherfucker is saying stuff like I'm gonna buy a car,
(51:17):
put your name on the license plate.
Speaker 3 (51:18):
Well it wasn't for a tow Oh thank god.
Speaker 4 (51:20):
I Watchampion one sixty. That's right, Oh thank god. I
kept my towel.
Speaker 7 (51:26):
Me fall to the floor, and because I once so convinced,
let me fall down to.
Speaker 4 (51:29):
The floor, and just you know, like it was a release.
I was released.
Speaker 7 (51:34):
The amount of you seem surprised, in my opinion, you
seem very surprised.
Speaker 3 (51:39):
The amount of had to go through to get to
that stage. It was three years of build up. You know.
Obviously he felled his drug test with the fight before,
so then all of these years I'm thinking about the
fight and talking about the fight and training for the fight.
It's a lot of pressure that builds up. I was
releasing the pressure once they raised my hand. Now it
(52:00):
feel pressure.
Speaker 1 (52:00):
Chriss aause, well that pressure at least that you.
Speaker 3 (52:03):
Now it feel pressure, Chris, there's definitely pressure. You do
feel the pressure. You you're we're walking out in front
of seventy thousand people. There's a pressure, for sure. I'm
not going to let you see it. I'm I'm not
going to shout and scream and and throw my toys
out of the prem like you and Eddie. Dude, how's that?
What do you mean? How's that?
Speaker 1 (52:24):
It's a good point. And this is pretty crazy because
Chris is given him the game right in front of him.
I don't know if Connor realizes it yet, but like
even asking the question, do you feel pressure? Connor knows
the answer to that question. He just like Chris knows
the pressure and the stakes of that first fight and
this second one. Of course, there's pressure. Every fighter knows
(52:45):
going into a massive fight, there's pressure. But that's what
makes combat sport, that's what makes any sport worth playing
or doing really anything in life. You feel pressure it's
because there are moments in your life where if you
make the right choices, if you put yourself in the
right positions, there's gonna be pressure because there's expectation. And
just like this fight, there was expectation for both fighters,
and Chris telling Connor Ben, yeah, I feel pressure, but
(53:08):
I'm not gonna let you see that. He's telling him
what Connor needs to be doing, because all Connor does
is give up all his emotions, give up everything while
acting like he's not doing that well, act like he's
not gonna and Chris feeds off of it because he
sees it.
Speaker 3 (53:21):
Look at the things you've done and said throughout over
the last five months. Well like like every interview.
Speaker 7 (53:28):
Enlighten me enlighten means, actually, don't even know what you're
talking about? What is I've said? This got you dying
obviously thinking five months.
Speaker 3 (53:39):
You're an emotional guy. You sleep as you say.
Speaker 7 (53:43):
Of course, yeah, what I said, what I said, this
really help your fix to bring it up today?
Speaker 3 (53:47):
Nothing And that's the thing.
Speaker 4 (53:49):
You can't hurt.
Speaker 3 (53:51):
Doesn't matter how many times online.
Speaker 7 (53:55):
I don't care about Toolking. I don't care about Tolking hurts.
His punching in the face.
Speaker 3 (54:00):
That's my how did that go for you?
Speaker 4 (54:03):
Pretty good? You're in hospital sipping food for a show, and.
Speaker 1 (54:09):
That's that's the type of ship that Connor needs to
get in his bag with, you know, like when he's
saying that the hurt and I want to put on you,
I don't care about the words. I want to smash
your fucking face in. That's the type of ship he
needs to be on. That's the type of ship his
dad was on. When we were talking about parliamentary procedure,
Nijo Bin was like, I'm gonna punch through your face
and that's real, and that's why he should be that way.
Instead of doing this like oh, you know, I'm not
(54:31):
hurt by it or I'm not this he should tell Christy, Okay,
you won the fight. Some judges thought you won to fight,
but you and I both know that when I punched you,
you felt that ship and that's why you were in
the hospital with one side of your face being in
large like you had elephant titus on the side of
your head something like that. You might have won the
boxing match, but between you and I, who came out
of their more hurt, who came out of their more
(54:52):
busted up and guess what, I'm gonna do it again
this second fight. That type of ship is how Connor
Bank could get in his head.
Speaker 10 (54:57):
Well we're gonna we're dontna spend too much time talking
about it.
Speaker 4 (54:59):
I'm just in his tone like that good.
Speaker 3 (55:03):
The amount of the dehydration exience fell off.
Speaker 4 (55:08):
Chris.
Speaker 7 (55:10):
I've got to take my healf to you, because you see,
moving forward in my career, I will take leaf out
of your book and I'm you talk but obviously convinces
some public.
Speaker 3 (55:23):
When it actually happens. It's like it's like when Eddie
hen says that it didn't happen that my ambulance.
Speaker 4 (55:29):
No, Chris, you can't.
Speaker 1 (55:31):
Okay, this was crazy. But Connor shouldn't do this. He
shouldn't take he said, a leaf out of Chris's book.
I don't even know what that means. But he shouldn't
take a page out of Chris's book and and try
to be Chris eBay Junior because he fought him, Like, okay,
maybe you can add some ship talk to your game.
But I think that again, I just think he should
be him, be himself, because he himself when he's speaking
(55:53):
from the heart is a genuinely more likable, more understanding
fighter versus trying to do the ship talk and trying
to do the mind games. That's not him. So we
shouldn't take a leaf or a branch or whatever else
out of Prissy Bank Junior's tree or playing. I don't
know what the hell is going on.
Speaker 3 (56:06):
It's like when Eddie Han says that it didn't happen
that my ambulance.
Speaker 4 (56:10):
Chris, you can't say that.
Speaker 3 (56:12):
You can't say I can say whatever.
Speaker 7 (56:13):
I was in hospital, I was on a trip, I
was in a bad way, I was the high It's
cool to fight.
Speaker 3 (56:18):
What's that got to do with? What's that got to
do with? When I put the footage out, I put
a foote the CCTV cameras. When when the lawyers get involved,
then you're gonna shut up.
Speaker 4 (56:30):
I'm looking forward to but no one cares enough about you,
Chris to stop.
Speaker 3 (56:34):
The thing is. The thing is when these things happen, uh,
you know, Eddie and Connor, they like to kind of
shut it down. He's just talking, he's just doing this.
But the truth of it is, I don't have any
reason to lie. I won the fight, all.
Speaker 1 (56:50):
Right, So let's talk about this, Chris you Bank Jr.
And this is a weird point he's tried to make
coming into the second fight. You know, as much as
Chris has dominated the trash and he's dominated the narrative
around the first and now second fight, one of the
most odd things that he is alleged is that Eddie
Hearn stopped his ambulances from leaving the venue and going
(57:12):
to the hospital. What he's alleging in this bay face
to face back and forth is that Connor and Eddie
won't admit that his ambulances were stopped. That's not what
he alleged to begin with. He alleged that Matchroom and
Eddie Hearn stopped his ambulances because they are in control
of the event. In some way, it's their event, when
in reality, this event was put on by the Ring
(57:33):
magazine and both Matchroom and Boxer were also affiliated promoters
with the event, because those are the two promoters of
the two people in the main event. Chris has come
out with footage and we're going to take a look
at it, and I want you to. I want to
remind you the claim from Chris was that his ambulances
were stopped by Eddie Hearn and Matt like it was
some sort of ploy to not let them leave and
(57:55):
go to the hospital. But what Chris is saying to
Connor is that his ambulances were stopped period. That is
isn't the fault of Eddie Hearn or anybody else on
the promotional side. But anyway, here's the footage.
Speaker 3 (58:18):
Don't understand that.
Speaker 1 (58:25):
That isn't evidence that Eddie Hearn stopped his ambulance from
leaving the venue. Whoever the event workers were, or whoever
the security team is, or whoever is in charge of
opening that door. Yeah, they're at fall for not letting
an ambulance leave with a fighter that's in desperate need
of medical attention. But that's a crazy accusation to Levy
(58:46):
on Eddie Hearn. And by the way, if if he
believed that Eddie Hearn and Matchroom or whoever the event
runners are, I mean, the Ring magazine is putting on
this event. If he believed that, why would he then
come to do another event with those same pep. Chris
is very good with his words, very good with the
middle Games, but this one he's kind of vent himself
into a pretzel over to try to justify something that
(59:08):
really isn't happening, especially not Eddie Hearn trying to like
sabotage his way to the hospital and hopes that what
he dies. I don't know the the accusation or what
that would even mean. That one's a weird one.
Speaker 7 (59:20):
I made no excuses, had to ring first five, one sixty,
first waist.
Speaker 4 (59:25):
No, I don't care, but I don't care.
Speaker 3 (59:29):
Talking about Jef.
Speaker 4 (59:32):
You're not Canelo.
Speaker 7 (59:40):
Oh you guys agreed three hydreds. I'm not jumping up
two weight divisions we ask you for you, for you, Ford.
Speaker 1 (59:47):
Connor said, I'm not jumping up to eight divisions for you,
and that's exactly what he did. I'm not jumping up
to eight divisions for you, and no, you did. What
he means is he's not jumping up two weight divisions
without a rehydration clause. I am never in favor of
rehydrat clause. I think they're very stupid. I think they're
deliberately in place to benefit one fighter over another. This
one's a bit of a weird one because Chris has
(01:00:09):
fought at one sixty multiple times without the rehydration clause.
Connor has never fought there, so Eddie's just looking out
for his guy, but it's it's I mean, it is
detrimental to a fighter's health to be asked to not
replenish the weight that they are draining themselves of in
the water they're depleting from their brain for a certain
amount of time, just a day before they're about to fight.
I'm never in favor of that kind of stuff, But
this one's a little different because Chris is comparing this
(01:00:30):
to Terence Crawford and Canelo Alvarez, and I think it's
a little bit of a different subject because Canelo was
never quote unquote bigger body wise than Crawford was, So
there's really no need for a rehydration clause. There. Had
Crawford fought someone like David Benavidez, would you have seen
a rehydration clause. I'm not saying there would have been,
but it would have been a different conversation. And you know,
(01:00:52):
in this case, Connor does have a point about it
not being for world titles, So why would he jump
up and just do this without having something to even
the odds? Right, It's not like he's challenging himself for
a belt. He's challenging himself for the rivalry of their fathers.
So I get it on both sides, but the rehydration
clause talk and the weight talk is honestly burnt me
to funk out on all of it. I'm kind of
(01:01:13):
done and hearing both these guys talk about the weight.
That was, you know, a topic of conversation the first
time around. But we already had the fight and both
guys already made the weight. Well, Chris didn't make the weight,
but he ended up making the rehydration. So let's just
let's just leave that in the past. You both agreed
to do it again. Enough is enough with it.
Speaker 4 (01:01:28):
I'm not finding you. I'm finding you guys.
Speaker 3 (01:01:31):
You guys were sure that as I didn't, I'm not
doing with disadvantages, you would have no Chris.
Speaker 4 (01:01:36):
And you're the A side.
Speaker 1 (01:01:38):
Good point by Chris fuel the A side.
Speaker 7 (01:01:40):
Yeah, if you're If you were the A side, you negotiate,
your team wouldn't allow that.
Speaker 4 (01:01:45):
Your team would allow that. Okay, Well, then.
Speaker 3 (01:01:49):
If you guys are begging me for rehidrations, you can pay,
and we gave.
Speaker 7 (01:01:55):
You guys, don't they will bring it up in in
this time round was even a topic of the discussion.
Why do you bring it up? If it was really
an issue and a really a big health concern, why
not bring?
Speaker 3 (01:02:04):
Why not bring? I won the fight shot?
Speaker 8 (01:02:07):
Then what do you think of his lifestyle?
Speaker 1 (01:02:09):
Love of that guy shopping? I mean true on both sides.
I think Chris is the A side because he dictated
when the fight was going to happen. He won the
first fight. But Connor is being honest to like, Yeah,
if it was such a big concern, you want to
take in the second fight at the same weight, with
the same readation.
Speaker 8 (01:02:22):
What do you think of his lifestyle it?
Speaker 4 (01:02:25):
Listen, I don't don't really do all that stupid thing
in your eyes. All you want?
Speaker 1 (01:02:30):
Connor is so wound up. Chris just makes a face. Yeah,
make your face all you want. I rate it.
Speaker 4 (01:02:35):
I rate it, like listen.
Speaker 7 (01:02:36):
If you can live good and party and panic casinos
and all right and waste your money, I'm happy for you, Chris,
and still beat me. Well right, that's impressive because I'm
in the gym all the time. All right here, Chris,
I take my hat off to listen.
Speaker 3 (01:02:51):
That's all I'm doing. I'm in the.
Speaker 4 (01:02:56):
Lost five hundred grand to me to the board, twenty
grand a little.
Speaker 3 (01:03:01):
Bit more as I'm sure. I'm sure people are going
to try and see me again after the press conference,
and that's okay. What's more important to me is shining
a light on.
Speaker 8 (01:03:13):
The I want to talk about.
Speaker 1 (01:03:16):
What did he say, shine a light on the pussy
or the bullshit?
Speaker 3 (01:03:20):
I have to try to read this lists shining a
light on.
Speaker 1 (01:03:26):
The okay, the bullshit? I thought you said the pussy.
I was like, yeah, okay, I.
Speaker 10 (01:03:32):
Want to talk about the first fight. You said you
were going to knock him out at You're going to
him at him. You believed it, You're going to take
him out for you could not believe after the fight
that you didn't break him out. You said that they
were your words. Yeah that's true, Jenny, I knocked him out.
Speaker 4 (01:03:48):
But has that not true.
Speaker 3 (01:03:50):
Because it's not true.
Speaker 4 (01:03:51):
How's that not true?
Speaker 3 (01:03:52):
Because I thought I was going It's.
Speaker 1 (01:03:54):
Just it takes no effort, Chris, you made you to
just wind up counter beIN. He's he's so upset that
Chris doesn't believe that he believed that Connor believed he
was gonna knock hibout, Like Chris has to believe it
because Connor said it. In Connor's mind, Like, what what
do you mean? It's not true. You don't even know
who I am. You can't even You're not in my head.
You're not you know what I'm saying? Like, dude, who
(01:04:14):
cares if you doesn't believe you did? Didn't think that?
Who gives a ship? Like all right, cool, I'll show
you this time and leave it at that. But he's like,
what do you mean?
Speaker 4 (01:04:21):
How?
Speaker 1 (01:04:21):
How could it not be true? You don't know my thoughts?
And look at this, look at this face from you
bake he knew.
Speaker 4 (01:04:26):
But how's that not true?
Speaker 3 (01:04:28):
Because it's not true?
Speaker 4 (01:04:28):
How's that not true? Because I thought I was gonna
have you face Dan on the canvas?
Speaker 3 (01:04:33):
You know for a fact?
Speaker 4 (01:04:34):
How can I know that for a fact? Lim Smith
done it? How can you say no, I know that
for a fact.
Speaker 3 (01:04:39):
I was a one in a million, one in a minute.
Speaker 4 (01:04:42):
Yeah exactly, So you can't do that. You got banged
out by like middleway the fight finished with me? How
can you tell me so? How can you tell me so?
Speaker 3 (01:04:51):
How you didn't think?
Speaker 7 (01:04:52):
How can you tell me what I'm thinking? When you've
proven to be knocked out cold on your feet?
Speaker 8 (01:04:57):
Yoh? What is this?
Speaker 1 (01:05:00):
Until exercise Connor's going. You said, knocked out cold on
your feet. That's crazy. Can you imagine someone being out gold,
standing straight up? That's wild?
Speaker 3 (01:05:09):
Fight finished with me on my feet cold cold. You
can't tell me what cold is on the floor.
Speaker 4 (01:05:15):
No more, you could not tell me what stood, tell
me what ye.
Speaker 3 (01:05:18):
Said to referee. Let me fight my friend. I am
ready to go. He waved it off. I said, okay,
you know what, the fight's over. I can't stop it.
I'm going to walk over to Liam and stand in front.
Speaker 4 (01:05:31):
Of the space that was your person would have just taken.
Speaker 3 (01:05:35):
You know that, I'm ready to go, Chris. That's that's
what happened.
Speaker 4 (01:05:39):
Given Clee knew that he was never gonna knock me out, but.
Speaker 10 (01:05:42):
You believe you couldn't believe after the fight that he
had the heart and the grit.
Speaker 8 (01:05:47):
You thought you would break it.
Speaker 3 (01:05:48):
I did, Sorry, I'd break and I thought you would quit,
because that's what cheaters do.
Speaker 7 (01:05:53):
You know?
Speaker 3 (01:05:53):
People were forgetting now that this guy is a drug cheat.
So when you have that type of mentality to where
you take steroids to try and improve your performance, that
usually means that when you get into tough situations, you're
going to revert back to your your cheating mentality, which
is I love it. I don't. I don't want to
be here anymore. I'm gonna find the way I give
up at the fifth For the sixth round, he's going
(01:06:15):
to feel the heat, he's going to feel the pressure,
and that cheating mentality has is going to kick in
and he's gonna look for a way out. Somehow guy
found it in himself to stay and for that, I'll
give him his credit, all right.
Speaker 4 (01:06:31):
He didn't get it again, Chris.
Speaker 1 (01:06:34):
So I like this because it's Chris's way of just
again trying to get in Connor Binn's head. Like, Yes,
the first fight, he did better than I thought he would.
He survived. Even though that was a good back and
forth fight.
Speaker 4 (01:06:47):
It wasn't.
Speaker 1 (01:06:48):
Just the way that Chris is reframing this fight is
that Connor just survived the fight, which is not true.
It was a good back and forth fight. Chris won,
and he won by a number of rounds, but it
wasn't an ass beating by any means. It was a
great fight that Connor bin not only had moments in
one rounds in and even late in that fight was
still dangerous and still putting it on Chris you Bank
asked Christiyo Bank was putting it on him. Good back
(01:07:10):
and forth fight. But you see the way it's been
reframed now that like, oh you know, I didn't think
he'd last, he'd go back to his shooting ways, but no,
he stood in there and just got his ass beat. Right.
I like it because what it does is subliminally tell
Connor binn Okay, this is how the fight's gonna go again,
except this time I'm going to be maybe more calculated,
more slick, whatever Chris you Bank wants to be in
(01:07:30):
this second fight, telling Connor, no matter how committed you are,
you know today still a drug cheat. And also even
when you were fully committed, you were fully locked in,
you thought you were gonna knock me out. I still
took you into deep water and got you.
Speaker 3 (01:07:42):
These guys they get hurt and they looked for a
way out. He was hurt, he was tired, and he
stayed in there. So for that, I'll give him his
respect and his credit. Still a drug chiet, but you
stayed in there. You stayed in there.
Speaker 4 (01:07:55):
You didn't you didn't give.
Speaker 8 (01:07:57):
Up a clean He's got more to lose.
Speaker 7 (01:07:59):
Oh, no, no, no, no, no, We've got got knowledge
what he's doing there. I'm working Chris, who's got more
to me?
Speaker 4 (01:08:04):
And working Chris Antis. Yeah, I've got you know, I
got your I got your don't need to be I
got your number, Chris, I got your number. Chris.
Speaker 7 (01:08:12):
What he's antics and all that, Well done, you've got
in my head first time round, Well run to you.
Speaker 4 (01:08:17):
It's ain't working, and see his mind, Dames, are you
trying to This is where he's got to revert back to.
This is where you've got to revert back to to
try and get under my skin. True, say what you like,
say what you like. I'm going to systematically beat you.
Speaker 1 (01:08:32):
He keeps saying it's not working, but it seems like
it's working pretty well. I mean kind of recognizes that
Chris is playing with him, that he's trying to puppeteer
this thing, but it's still kind of working. He's still
got to gripping the fuck out of that chair, and
he's like, oh, it's not working, it's not working. Just
if he's trying to hold back the emotion, I think
he should just let it go at this point. Just
fucking be emotional. Just get up and throw the chair,
(01:08:54):
I guess because at least that's better than holding it
in and trying to act like it's not affecting you,
you know what I mean? And again, do I think
it'll have any effect on the fight. The only thing
I think that these these mind games potentially could have
on the fight is that you go into the second
one if you're Connor Benn trying to be more tactical
and you know, technical, and you lose that ability to
to mix it up or be in the fire, and
(01:09:16):
then you potentially are not as technical or tactical as Chris.
You Bank Junior with Fomac in the corner, and then
it's it's even worse potentially of a fight than the
first one is because you're a little bit more stagnant, measured,
and hesitant versus going out there and leaving it all
in the ring. Again, not saying that he has to
fight the same way he thought the first time. I'm
(01:09:36):
not saying he has to be as reckless. And there
was no damn near no jab set up. As the
fight went on, he went away from his jab. There
does need to be that spite that that emotion, that raw,
I'm gonna take your head off. Mentality just controlled and
harnessed a bit, but not completely like, oh, I'm gonna
systematic Like he's talking about systematically breaking Chris you Bank
Junior down, And I don't know that he has that
(01:09:58):
in his arsenal. I don't know if that that's the
strength of Connor Ben in this fight is to be
the better boxer.
Speaker 7 (01:10:02):
I don't know that he has that systematically beat you.
Are you like that word systematically beat you? November fifteenth?
Speaker 3 (01:10:08):
That's the biggest feather I've heard you, right.
Speaker 1 (01:10:11):
Yeah, right, this word I've used personally said systramatically.
Speaker 4 (01:10:16):
That's crazy matter you've been there today.
Speaker 3 (01:10:18):
Okay, well, how do I stop that from happening? I
guess I just have to be even more vicious, even
more ferocious, even more steadfast in my ability and my mindset.
You know, my mindset going into that fight was it
doesn't matter what this kid does, doesn't matter what he
may or may not be capable of. I am not
(01:10:41):
going to stop until I am pulled off of this guy.
That was my mentality. It will be the same on
November fifteenth.
Speaker 8 (01:10:50):
Is there any way this doesn't turn into a dog fight?
Last question?
Speaker 4 (01:10:53):
I won't turn to a dog fight with the.
Speaker 1 (01:10:55):
Back ball shit again, if that's Connor's meant fair play,
If he's going to go in here and try to
outbox Chris you Bank Jr. I don't know like that
takes away some of his best attributes, which are his
his ferociousness, his his ability to win gun fights in
close in the pocket. I do think he needs to
(01:11:16):
be more technical. I do think he needs to prioritize
his jab and you know, jab to range versus walking
in and looking for strictly power. But do think this
does need to get into dogfight territory a little bit
for Connor Ben to capitalize on what he has in
this fight that I think he has maybe in a
greater abundance than Chris you Bank Junior has, And that's
his power and his youthful and energy and explosiveness. He
(01:11:39):
needs that in this throwing all that away just to
be more technical, I don't know if that's the right answer.
Speaker 3 (01:11:45):
Was it's calmly, he's a new man.
Speaker 7 (01:11:51):
It's calm, a new man exactly. That told me a lesson.
He told me a lesson now, Chris, I'm.
Speaker 4 (01:11:55):
A new man.
Speaker 8 (01:11:55):
You believe it.
Speaker 3 (01:11:57):
He's calm now, I like him now.
Speaker 4 (01:12:01):
I like him now Roles because he's undisciplined.
Speaker 7 (01:12:04):
What do you mean I cannot say thank you to
the man I am bowling a bat in a five
hundred grand motor because of you.
Speaker 4 (01:12:11):
I cannot say thank you.
Speaker 3 (01:12:12):
Chris.
Speaker 4 (01:12:13):
You know I'm not. I'm grateful mate.
Speaker 3 (01:12:15):
He may he may truly believe that he has this
new kind of outlook and feel and an approach to
me or the fight. That may be what he genuinely believes.
But at the end of the day, I'm getting here
and want to punch it in when that bell goes.
Speaker 1 (01:12:34):
Oh my god, Connor is too funny.
Speaker 3 (01:12:36):
But at the end of the day, I'm getting and
want to punch it in when that bell goes and
and those those fists start flying. I think that he
will revert back to what he is, which is an
emotional kid who gets caught up in the moment and
and will make those mistakes. Me being the.
Speaker 1 (01:12:56):
Damn that's a bit of a soul read man as
a bit of a soul reading right there from Chris
you Bank Junior. And he's probably right, which is why
I don't understand why Connor just doesn't embrace that embrace
that side of him. Maybe not the emotional you know,
act on emotion only swinging for the bleachers quote unquote kid,
but it feed into your strengths. Be the destroyer, you
(01:13:17):
the guy going in there and looking in the fight,
versus trying to outbox Chris you Make because he's gonna
prey on your emotions. If you're trying to hide it,
you will not be able to hide it in this fight.
Every time you miss or every time you try to
be technical and you don't get off center line. You
don't think Chris you Bank's gonna make fun of him,
do the Billy Joe Sounders something. You can't let you
Bank Junior dictate how you fight based on the first time. Oh,
(01:13:40):
it's all calm, We're good. I'm gonna go in there
and systematically can't do that. Not your strength and again,
in my opinion, because then you're just trying to fight
you Bank Junior's fight, and he's better.
Speaker 3 (01:13:48):
At experienced thirty six year old man that I am
op I will be able to capitalize and take advantage
of those mistakes. When I was twenty eight, I was
I'm never let in a thirty or thirty six year
old man beat me. It doesn't matter who the fact
that you're eight years younger than me and I still
did what I needed to experience for them, that's it.
Speaker 4 (01:14:12):
Stronger than me. No, you aren't strong punch out girl.
They never mean what?
Speaker 3 (01:14:18):
Never have me?
Speaker 8 (01:14:19):
Boys never have me?
Speaker 3 (01:14:20):
What will?
Speaker 1 (01:14:21):
Wire a good girl again? Oh my god? I swear
if they weren't fighting, they'd have a great little reality
TV series, even got Chrystal Babo.
Speaker 4 (01:14:35):
No me, No, you aren't strong punch out girl. They
never have me? What never mere?
Speaker 8 (01:14:42):
Boys never have me?
Speaker 3 (01:14:43):
What will?
Speaker 4 (01:14:45):
What do you mean you're punching that?
Speaker 3 (01:14:47):
Mate?
Speaker 4 (01:14:47):
What are you talking about?
Speaker 3 (01:14:48):
You never want on?
Speaker 4 (01:14:49):
You crop this? You crop this and then make a
video where you call me lovely for sure.
Speaker 8 (01:14:55):
We're gonna have to We're gonna have.
Speaker 4 (01:15:00):
Wait perfectly fine see me. No no damage at all,
straight back in the gym.
Speaker 3 (01:15:04):
Damage, straight back in the gem.
Speaker 4 (01:15:06):
Are you taking.
Speaker 1 (01:15:10):
The I agree with Connor here. I saw him the
week after this fight, and his face didn't even look
like he'd been in a fight. And out of the
two of them, if anybody looked like the life got
taken out of them in that fight, it was Chris.
You bank Junior. I mean he looked like he got
stung by a horde of bees. His face was so swollen.
And yeah, Connor did wabble him. I think a couple
of times in the fight, I will agree with Connor.
Speaker 4 (01:15:31):
There are you taking the piss?
Speaker 2 (01:15:33):
Chris?
Speaker 3 (01:15:34):
People saw it? Are you taking the world saw it?
Speaker 1 (01:15:36):
But he's saying this, and Connor is getting frustrated because
Chris is dead panting him and he said the world
saw it. We did see it. Connor just has to
believe what his mind is telling him is true. He
doesn't need to convince Chris H. Bank Junior of it,
which he keeps trying to do. Is for some reason,
just believe yourself. Who cares what he thinks the world?
Speaker 8 (01:15:55):
The world is going to watch the rematch live on
his own.
Speaker 10 (01:15:59):
November fifteenth, Unfinished Business, Christian Bank Junior, Connor Ben We could.
Speaker 1 (01:16:04):
Look at the way they're looking. Chris is smirking like
I got him again, and Connor is like kind of frustrated.
It looks like like what the fuck is he thinking?
Saying he wobbled me, still thinking about the last interaction. Meanwhile,
Chris is like I got him again. That right there,
that The way that they're looking at each other symbolizes
how this face off with.
Speaker 8 (01:16:23):
This all day. I don't think you boys would what
we done.
Speaker 4 (01:16:26):
I'm just getting started, Chris. I'm actually enjoying this.
Speaker 10 (01:16:29):
I'm actually really I think everybody everybody watching in the
room and at home.
Speaker 8 (01:16:33):
Is enjoying it. Guys, I cannot wait to see the rematch.
Speaker 4 (01:16:39):
I would give a mind shake.
Speaker 8 (01:16:42):
Of your best friends. Cool, thanks for watching.
Speaker 1 (01:16:51):
We can all have a pushing up.
Speaker 4 (01:16:53):
You're a good guy, Chris. I can't wait to share
room with jam mate living life.
Speaker 1 (01:16:57):
I try to be Hunch the living life. He says,
uh okay, So yeah, this is another another masterclass in
mind games by Chris you Bank Junior. I mean, the
guy just gets it. He just understands how to wind
up Connor Benn. And it doesn't help that Chris you
Bank Junior beat him in the first fights and now
even has more AMMO and he's doing it from both ends.
He's like, yeah, you know, he was a tough kid,
(01:17:19):
but he wasn't tough enough. And listen, if I was
his age at twenty eight, I never lose to a
guy my age. The old man beating you up and
you know he can take all the shortcuts he wants,
but I did it the right way, even with the dehydra.
He's just using all of it as ammo, and Connor
Benn is like, baffled by it. Anything You Bank's Junior says.
Connor Bean's like, what do you mean? No, No, that's
not it. No, Chris, no, listen, Chris so emotional and
(01:17:42):
then acting like, no, it's good, it's good, everything's fun.
I'm fine. He just needs to let it go. Connor Ben,
just be yourself. Don't worry about seeking the approval of
Chris Eubank Junior in every instance and every interaction, and
almost that's what it feels like. He seeks the approval
of U Bank Junior and again trying to be like
you Bank with the mind games when we all know
Connor Ben is a firecracker. Just be that your dad
(01:18:04):
was that, you have that inside you.
Speaker 8 (01:18:06):
Just be that.
Speaker 1 (01:18:07):
Because the first fight was a good fight and Connor
Benn had moments that he could have taken control. But
what you can't do in this second fight is try
to be Chris you Bank. You're trying to do it
in these face offs. You can't do that in the ring.
Sure be a little bit more technical. Sure have a
plan that starts with a jab and then ends with
those different level attacks and that massive power that he's
(01:18:28):
bringing to one sixty. But if you get too far
away from what got you to this point, from the
biggest qualities in your game, I think it's a mistake.
Trying to fight like U Bank Junior and be slick
and technical and off the jab. I don't think is
the right way. But you guys, let me know what
you think. This is a hilarious face off. I cannot
wait for fight night. It's only ten days away. By
the time you guys are seeing this. Make sure you
(01:18:50):
guys join me on the Saturday Live. We're gonna be
hitting a watch party right here. But as far as
who wins the rematch between you Bank Junior and Connor Benn,
I don't have those answers, but I guess we'll find out.
All right, folks, we are back with a Ring exclusive
from the way concept. Virgil Ortiz absolutely destroys erases, completely
demolishes Ericson Lubin in the second round. He ko absolute
(01:19:14):
obliteration and it was a lot of what I expected
it to be. A little bit of what I didn't,
and it answered the question we all wanted to know,
are we going to get Virgil Ortes versus Jeron Boots
and as next? The answer is an emphatic absolutely yes.
What do I mean? What just happened to breakdown?
Speaker 4 (01:19:34):
Let's go.
Speaker 1 (01:19:37):
All right? So Virgil Ortiz versus Ericson Lubin for the
interim WBC one p fifty four pound championship of the World.
Coming into the fight, this is really a question of
how does Virgil Ortes win this? At least to me,
I didn't see Ericson Lubman as a guy that was
going to be able to stop Virgil Orties at this point,
stop in kind of a double nentimere stop his momentum
(01:19:58):
going forward twenty four at that time, twenty three and
zero with twenty knockouts. Just a talented prospect, a guy
that regardless of belts at one hundred and fifty four pounds,
him and Boots are two of the biggest names to
watch and two of the most dangerous guys in the
lower weight classes. And Ericson Lubin, you know, a historied fighter,
a guy from Cassemi, Orlando, Florida. I mean I've been
(01:20:19):
down there. I've seen the fighters that they produce in
that Orlando area, and listen, Lubin is a fantastic fighter,
was nicknamed the Hammer for a reason, had some power
in his hands. But I think after the knockout from
Charlow in the first round of their fight, and I
think after being knocked down and eventually stopped by Sebastian
Fundora in their fight in a back and forth, I
just think at that point he had lost a lot
(01:20:40):
of what made him him good technical boxer, a guy,
it's a boxer puncher that gets dangerous later in the
in the rounds, but I didn't see him being too
much of a problem. I thought we would see some
rounds from Virgil Ortiz. I thought we'd see a bit
more of a patient, you know, I wouldn't say tactical,
but a bit more patient, and then let the dog
out Virgil Ortiz later in the rounds again coming off
two decision versus I think two high, high level fighters
(01:21:02):
like Sarah hey Boachuk and Madramoff who it looked great
or at least made Terrence Crawford look not as great.
So Virgil doing what he had to do to get
those fights done, but then he comes back and performs
like he needed to. I think to push the envelope
for this dram Boots Innis and Virgil Ortiz fight. Let's
talk about Ortiz versus Lubin first. I mean, first round,
(01:21:26):
you already started to see even when Ortiz wasn't landing
the most devastating of punches, anytime he landed anything, it
looked like Lubin was almost in no man's land, right hands,
left hands. What I really liked from Ortiz this is
I mean, it's something he always does, is constant pressure.
It's forward fighting. He brings the fight. But I loved
his manipulation of the pressure. It wasn't just put my
(01:21:47):
forehead in your chest and that's what it's gonna be.
It was some of that, and in the second round
it was more of that. It was cutting off the ring,
it was tightening space. It was it was taking up
a ton of space while also being in front of Lubin.
It was making Lubin feel like you was trapped and
pushing him against the ropes, the one place you really
don't want to be versus Virgil Ortiz, and I know
Lubin had gotten away with the earlier fights in his career.
You can't do that with a guy that kind of pace,
(01:22:10):
that kind of power, and that kind of killer instinct.
So even at the end of the first round, I
don't know if it was a right I think it
was a right hand at Ortiz Landa at the end
of the first round, and I was watching and I
remember in my head. I don't think the commentators really
reacted to it, but I remember in my head going, oh,
that's a big punch. That's a punch that Lubin felt,
even if it you know, the bell went there, and
I think the Latin snake Sergio Mora might have caught
(01:22:30):
it as well. But I remember thinking that was a
significant punch that hurt Ericson Lubin, on top of a
couple other punches that felt hurt him. This second round
is gonna go really really badly, really quickly, and sure enough,
I think the Ortez corner, as much as they were
preaching calm impatience, I think they knew that Lubin was
gonna be out on his feet if you really stepped
on the gas pedal. That's exactly what they did. I mean,
(01:22:51):
Ortiz and that second round came out, did put his
forehead right in Lubin's chest, and again I was really
a big fan of just how one he showed killer instinct,
just immediately swarmed what was already a compromised fighter even
coming into this fight. I mean again, we talked about
the losses to Fondora and to Charlo. The chin looked
like it had been compromised from ericson Lubmin, which is,
you know, it's unfortunate because without that I thought he
(01:23:14):
was a high, high level fighter. But when your chin goes,
it goes, and it's different for every fighter. And he
had a good career. I mean, damn, the guy was
twenty seven and two up into this point, so fair
play to him. But in that second round you saw
Ortiz again change his level, get his head right in
the chest of Luban, start working to the body, and
then I love, love, love the guard manipulation in the
(01:23:34):
second round, because regardless of the weight, especially as you
move higher and way, I am of the opinion that
just standing with the high guard is your defense, especially
when you're squared up back against the ropes. That's almost
asking to be hurt at this point because fighters are
so good at manipulating your guard. That just answering the
phone being there with your high guard. When a guy
reaches out and heels that hand down and with the
(01:23:56):
other hand comes right behind it to the temple, you
realize how ineffective that defense is when guys are good
at manipulating your guard. And from here, who you punching
from your high guard? Right, You're not even you're squared
on the ropes. Who are you punching from there with
any kind of impact instead of turning your body having
hands more here catch or frame. I'm not a big
fan of the high guard against the ropes, and I
(01:24:16):
think it tonight, especially did ericson Lubin in it. I
don't know if it was strategy or whatever else, maybe
trying to wait out the danger of the first couple
of rounds from Virgil Ortiz, but having that high guard
squared up back on the ropes was just food sitting
in front of Ortiz, who was hungry because of the
potential of the Jeram boots in this fight, because all
of us have an appetite for American boxing to finally
(01:24:39):
have a major fight, and we'll get to it in
a second. But it was all just a recipe for disaster.
And so when Virgil Ortiz with his left hand healed
down the left hand of Ericson Lubin, bang fired the
right hand over. This was like some Lomachenko think Triple
G style kind of corkscrew right hand, and it shocked
Ericson Lubin. It was out on his feet immediately right
hand him. He was out. Van Ortiz barely missed with
(01:25:02):
a follow up switch left hook just missed him, whiz
by him. But then he followed up with more right
hands and like I said, Luban was done. Shouts to
the referee who jumped in, because that was gonna be
you know, the way he was out on his feet,
like his feet were under him to where his like
unconscious body could still somewhat maintained posture and position. But
if you let that go, I don't even mean this
(01:25:24):
to sound hyperbolic or you know, dramatic, I could have
seen a Ray Mercer Tommy Morrison style knockout had the
referee not stepped in right there, because he had decent
enough like his back was against the ropes, his feet
were somewhat planted, Ortiz could have landed three or four
more nasty ones had he kept going. Luckily the referee
didn't allow that. So, yeah, this is what you wanted
to see from Virgil Ortiz. He checked off every box
(01:25:46):
he had focus in a fight that could have become
a dangerous fight or a trap fight, right before the
big money fight, right before the big fight everybody wants
to see, which usually is what prevents boxing fans from
getting the big money fights. Think Ryan Garcia versus Roly Romero,
Roally Romero, not listening to the noise, not worried about
what Ryan and Devin Haney might have coming next. No,
he goes and takes care of business, spoils the party.
(01:26:07):
Same with Anthony Joshua Andy Ruiz. We had rumors of
Anthony Joshua potentially Tyson Fury after the Ruiz fights, and
that fight had been trying to get set up for years,
and all of a sudden, Anthony Joshua gets clipped by
Andy Ruiz and changes everybody's career trajectory. So you have
to focus in on the fight in front of you.
I saw that from Virgil. I saw again that mean shriek.
I saw his pace, I saw his pressure, saw his
(01:26:28):
finishing ability, and I saw him box well, didn't get
hit with anything. Again, not a lot of time to
get hit. But I saw him take care of business
and give fans a reason to be excited about one
of the best fights. No joke in boxing period. I
don't mean it one fifty four. I don't mean in America.
I mean this might be the best fight in boxing.
Jerm Bu Sennis steps into the ring, got the chains on.
(01:26:51):
There was rumors he might not make it to Dallas
because of you know, the government being shut down in
Flight's not getting their psych Him and Eddie are on site.
He walks up in the ring. Him and Virgil Lorti's
have a staredown talking about you were talking trash. Boots
told Virgil that his whole team was gonna pay for
talking that trash and saying they didn't want to fight.
Virgil's like, all right, we'll see, Let's make the fight.
(01:27:12):
This has to be the next fight. I don't give
a single flying fuck if it is for a world
title or not. These are two of the best at
one fifty four, point blank period. I think they might
be two of the best in boxing at all. Like
these might be two of the best regardless of weight. Class.
Yes you have Terrence Crawford there. Yes you have David Benavidez.
We'll see what happens with Anti Yard. Yes you have
in a way you have ooh sick, I get it.
(01:27:32):
But these two are dangerous, and they're in their prime,
and they're at the same weight class. And this is
what boxing needs more of. We don't need this five
to six to ten years from now. We need it
right now. They both are saying to each other, it's
my money and I need it now because this is
right here is blockbuster boxing, ladies and gentlemen. This right
here is what will bring new eyes to the sport.
(01:27:54):
And it's a damn good fight. I'm not even gonna
try to do early predictions right now for how this
thing would go down. I just need it to happen.
Chris Mannix was on commentary saying that this is one
hundred percent his words, not mine, one hundred percent to
the next fight for both guys. Think maybe March April
of next year. And I know we've heard that before
as fans that fights are one hundred percent done, sign sealed,
delivery and it doesn't happen. But this time I do
(01:28:16):
think it's gonna happen, and what a fight it would be.
I'm going to try to just look at the stair
down really quickly.
Speaker 4 (01:28:21):
I know that.
Speaker 1 (01:28:21):
You know, we're not supposed to use his own footage,
but his own you work with us here at the channel.
Let me use some of this footage. Here's a stare
down between the two of them. Yup, there it is man, there, it.
Speaker 4 (01:28:41):
Is time at that time.
Speaker 7 (01:28:45):
It is.
Speaker 3 (01:28:45):
It's big.
Speaker 1 (01:28:46):
That sounds like, yeah, it's a perfect time too. Yeah,
it's a perfect time.
Speaker 6 (01:28:49):
I'm married, you know.
Speaker 4 (01:28:50):
Get everybody what a they're looking for it too, They're
like that, yeah, let's get that money.
Speaker 3 (01:28:54):
That's right.
Speaker 8 (01:28:54):
Yeah, I like it.
Speaker 1 (01:28:59):
I like it, and it is it is. It is
that time. It's the perfect time to make this happen.
Both fighters have a unique and interesting style. Obviously, Virgil
Ortiz more forward, more aggressive, more front foot boxing, drawn
boots in us. We know is a great counterpuncher off
his back foot, but it also can bring it to
your front door. He'll fight out of both stances. His
defense to offense transition is beautiful. He'll catch counter with you.
(01:29:22):
I don't know where this fight could go, because you
could argue that Boots style gives Virgil problems or could
give Virgil problems even though we haven't seen Virgil in
a ton of problems. You could argue that Virgil style
will give Boots problem. Give it to me. I need that,
and I think I speak for the boxing world when
I say this is, if not the one of the
best fights you can make in the sport period. But
(01:29:45):
I want to know your thoughts. You guys, let me
know down below. What did you think Virgil Ortiz look
like in this fight versus Erickson Lubin Again, Lubin maybe
doesn't have the chin that he once did after the
couple fights and then the knockouts are stoppages from Charlo
and Fondora, but still a high level guy that Virgil
Ortiz walked through, I mean absolutely demolished just after boots In.
(01:30:05):
It's demolishes usim Limo. So both guys put a check
mark by the tests, A plus circle it from the teacher.
Now you move to final exams. Is this fight gonna
happen next? It damn well better? And who do you favor?
Who has the advantage, Who's gonna get it done? Between
Virgil Ortiz and Drown Boots in it's don't have those answers,
(01:30:26):
but I cannot wait to find out
