the nanny who allegedly stabbed the grandfather of the toddler
that she was caring for, stabbed him to death, and
(00:42):
we're diving into the terrifying seventy six' four online Sex
torsion network as charges are pressed against one of the leading. Members,
also Producer Tyler stone joins us kind of at. Last
he's the one who actually he kind of composed all
of the music in the. Show so every time and
we go to commercial and come back to one of our,
(01:03):
jingles That's tyler and he's going to share the most
chilling stories with us basically that happened in his.

far so. Good it is Hump Day.
Speaker 3 (01:35):
Wednesday it we did. It we did, it, guys we did.
Speaker 4 (01:39):
It and court you had a good rest of your birthday.
NIGHT i assume it was magnificence beginning to.
Speaker 3 (01:44):
End thank you all, right look at your hair looks so.
Speaker 2 (01:47):
Beautiful and of course we Have, Taja sam And adam
with us as. Well so let's get this night started
and start off with a talk.
Speaker 5 (01:54):
Pack, hi, team this Is alicia From atlanta. AGAIN i
hope all is. WELL i need a huge Favor if
you don't, mind can you see if you can get
an update on the story in regards to a family
the Dead men's who have stated to have concealed the
body of nine year Old Asha, degree who went missing And,
(02:15):
Shelby North carolina On february, fourteenth two. THOUSAND i haven't
had much information about the story, recently hope you can.
Speaker 3 (02:23):
Help awesome you talk.
Speaker 4 (02:25):
Well, yeah it was a great, talkback AND i love your. Specificity,
yeah so, true really so. Useful and we actually do
have an. Update so the case is more than twenty
five years old and nine year Old Asha degree. Disappeared
she had left Her North carolina home in the very
(02:46):
early hour mornings Of february, fourteenth two. Thousand it was,
storming and she was last seen walking Along highway. Eighteen
she then appeared to vanish into nearby. Woods despite really
investigations by local authorities by THE, fbi only her buried
book bag and some scattered belongings have ever been. Recovered,
(03:08):
however the case is now considered an abduction and a homicide,
investigation and investigators have renewed to focus on a car
tied to local Residents roy And Connie.
Speaker 3 (03:21):
Deadman so who you mentioned in you.
Speaker 4 (03:23):
Talkback they were named suspects in a search warrant last.
Year they have publicly denied. Involvement it's important to, note
but they're.
Speaker 3 (03:33):
Mad about it.
Speaker 2 (03:34):
Too they're mad about, it even being associaling with the
case one way or the. Other and, again if they're,
innocent it is a terrible thing to be connected.
Speaker 3 (03:43):
Too but that, said there is these new.
Speaker 4 (03:46):
Developments, Yeah so investigators have seized a green nineteen sixty
FOUR Amc rambler and that is the central piece of physical.
Evidence and the reason is because there were reports of
a similar vehicle seen near nine year Old ash's disappearance
when she was last. Seen so The deadman family and
(04:07):
they are speaking through a, spokesperson they denied owning the
car in two. Thousand what they say is that official
records show it was not registered to them until one
month after nine year Old asha's. Disappearance And stephanie to your,
point The deadmond, family they say they have faced fear
and stress and reputational. Damage but still investigators are looking
(04:31):
pretty heartily into this. Car but no arrests or charges
have been.
Speaker 6 (04:37):
Announced when you buy a, car you have a grace
period and when you can register in the. Car so
just because it was not registered to them doesn't mean
they didn't have.
Speaker 2 (04:45):
It do you took the words out of my? Mouth
that's oh my, Yeah like even hear them saying this. Specificness,
again we're not piling on to people who say they
are not, guilty but just for the play, along just
because the car is not. Registered you, know different would
be if they SAID i never owned that car or
we never had access to that.
Speaker 6 (05:05):
Car SO i, mean there's got to be something to
the deadman's that they're continuing to look into, them, Right,
like there's got to be something. There THE fbi is,
Involved they're not just going to be, like, oh you
registered a, Car you're definitely not a. Suspect there's got
to be something, there, Right whether or not it's meaningful or,
NOT i have no.
Speaker 2 (05:23):
Idea but and on the other side of, that can
you imagine being associated with a case where it's a
missing nine year old twenty five years, later you're going
on with your life and you have no knowledge of,
this and now you're being accused in.
Speaker 3 (05:37):
Print that's really hard to come back from.
Speaker 2 (05:39):
Too AND i say hats off to law enforcement who
stick with their case for twenty five.
Speaker 3 (05:45):
Years twenty five years.
Speaker 6 (05:46):
Later, Yeah and my understanding is, too they just put
up some billboards along that. HIGHWAY i just went looked
and they're OFFERING i guess there's a combined reward of
one hundred thousand.
Speaker 3 (05:58):
Dollars.
Speaker 6 (05:59):
Wow and they put some billboards along the highway where
she was last.
Speaker 2 (06:02):
Seen, yeah we're working on a different project. TOO i
can't even say that the law enforcement agency, yet But
i'm not being, cagy but simply because What i've learned
on this project is that rewards are very hard to.
Aggregate so for law, enforcement think about, it it's like
a huge hassle, too, Right, so but it really is
probably the most effective draw for tips of.
Speaker 3 (06:25):
Information.
Speaker 4 (06:26):
Wow, yeah And asha the missing, girl her, Parents harold
And akia degree they still continue to hold annual walks
every year to the location of her last note and.
Sighting and it's very strange how she disappeared against she
was only nine years.
Speaker 7 (06:41):
Old.
Speaker 4 (06:42):
Wow and it seems that she disappeared between two thirty
and four o'clock in the morning That february, fourteenth two
thousand and a year after, that her book, bag which
contained unfamiliar items is what it's quoted. As that included
A Doctor seuss, Book New kid on The BLOCK t
shirt and that was fine found buried twenty six miles
(07:04):
away and it was so bounty.
Speaker 6 (07:07):
Correct, Okay so it was found buried and there were unfamiliar,
items including This Doctor seuss. Book So i'm assuming that
that that book maybe didn't belong to, her and it
wasn't in her room at some point when she left.
Speaker 4 (07:21):
THAT i, mean that's HOW i read. That that's Why
i'm reading.
Speaker 3 (07:24):
It, yeah if you have a nine year, old you
know what their t shirts? Are you, know you do.
Speaker 2 (07:29):
All their, laundry, laundewers, wow you, know even their books
or what's in their book bag is pretty you, know
it's a tight leash at that.
Speaker 3 (07:36):
Point you know why two o'clock in the. MORNING i.
WONDER i don't.
Speaker 6 (07:41):
Know this was in two thousand that she went, Missing
SO i MEAN i don't.
Speaker 3 (07:47):
KNOW i MEAN i WHEN i was.
Speaker 6 (07:49):
NINE i ran. AWAY i MEAN i you, know packed
my bags and like walked to the corner store And i'm.
Speaker 3 (07:55):
Leaving but not at two o'clock in the. MORNING i did,
it you? Know and how long did you run away?
Before was that? Short? Lived were home within twenty five?
Speaker 2 (08:02):
Minutes, yeah it's Our maybe you really want people to
follow you and beg you to come.
Speaker 3 (08:06):
Back of COURSE i.
Speaker 6 (08:07):
Didn't it was kind of like a stick kind of,
situation like.
Speaker 2 (08:13):
Shoulder who is following very organized. Departure but, YEAH i get,
IT i get. It that must be just BE i
would have to be the worst feeling in all the.
Speaker 3 (08:21):
Land is just the idea of your baby missing.
Speaker 4 (08:25):
Unimaginable so we'll continue to keep you updated as new
information does come.
Speaker 3 (08:31):
Out this is True crime. Tonight we are On. iHeartRadio
I'm Courtney, Armstrong.
Speaker 4 (08:36):
I'm lucky to be here with A Body moving And
Stephanie laidecker and we've been talking about the disappearance of
nine year Old Asha. Degree we'd love to hear your.
Thoughts we're at eight of eight three one. Crime give
us a call anytime or hit us up on the
talkbacks and body you have a story to update us
on as.
Speaker 6 (08:54):
Well, yeah remember Yesterday stephanie were telling us about that anchor,
woman yes who like kind of murdered her mom and
murdered her, mom AND i brought up this story From. Detroit,
yes well this is the Story i'm gonna tell you.
Guys so she's A michigan. Nanny her name Is Samantha
booth and she allegedly stabbed her eighty three year old
(09:15):
the eighty three year Old David onng with the screwdriver
and attacked his toddler, granddaughter leading to her arrest and multiple.
Charges so here's what. Happened samantha is the. Nanny, okay
mom is out of town and calling the nanny because
she's babysitting her. Daughter, right can't get ahold of. Her,
(09:35):
okay she's not answering the. Phone so she's getting, worried,
like oh my, gosh she's not answering the. Phone so
she calls her, Dad. David, Okay david, on and she's,
like can you please go check on my house and
the nanny and see what's going. On so he goes
over and she attacks him with the screwdriver.
Speaker 3 (09:53):
Allegedly.
Speaker 6 (09:53):
Okay of, course he doesn't call his daughter because he's
just been attacked and he's impaired this. Point so the
mom is, like, okay just set my dad. Over so
she calls her brother in. Law brother in law goes
over and he hears like strange sounds and he Sees
david is. Injured he's, like oh my. God he scoops
up the, toddler who's, yeah the toddler is, there scoops
(10:16):
up the, toddler and then all of a, Sudden samantha
is kind of the nanny it covered in blood with
the screw driver and starts attacking the brother in law
what so they get away though and call nine one.
ONE i, mean this is just you, Know i'm telling
you something in the water because this is so familiar
(10:38):
with this anchor. Story it just you, know a little
bit scoops him up and leaves gets gets out of.
There and the uncle because this is the, uncle the
brother in law is the uncle or the. Toddler and
they were able to escape to another home and call
nine when, one but they did sustain some. Injuries the accused, Nanny,
samantha stripped naked and dropped the screwdriver before police arrived
(11:00):
and arrested. Her the police reportedly found psychedelic mushrooms In samantha's,
purse although it's not confirmed whether she was under the
influenceror not during the. Attack samantha had previously known the
family for two years and had care for the child without.
Incident wowout any incident to.
Speaker 3 (11:18):
Every parent's worst. Nightmare.
Speaker 6 (11:20):
Right, So samantha is charged with first degree, murder second
degree child, abuse felonious, assault and resisting, police and it's
unclear if she has entered a. Plea she was supposed
to appear in court virtually On tuesday yesterday or No,
tuesday the twenty, eighth but she was uncooperative and she
was hiding in her jail cell without her clothes.
Speaker 3 (11:42):
On, again what she's having a psychotic break SOUNDS.
Speaker 6 (11:48):
I mean when You i've Never i'm an angel And
i've never done mushrooms or anything like. That do you
can it permanently switch you?
Speaker 2 (11:57):
On, well there is, evidence of, course like any kind
of a drug that maybe doesn't agree with a person
can trigger.
Speaker 3 (12:04):
SOMETHING i, mean Obviously i'm not a doctor.
Speaker 2 (12:05):
EITHER i, mean if anyone listening eight eight eight three one,
crime jump, in join, us tell.
Speaker 3 (12:10):
Us BUT i do think to the.
Speaker 2 (12:12):
Improper you, know a brain has, wiring, right and if
the wiring is getting, problematic now add an illicit drug
or even a natural, drug anything to it that's, incorrect
maybe that could in fact trigger something or trigger a real.
Speaker 3 (12:30):
Reaction. Likens this sounds, Absurd it, does.
Speaker 6 (12:33):
It's it's really really because like days, later you, know
she's still kind of not kind of she's still in this. State,
yeah she's hiding in her jail cell and you, know
stripped stripped off her, clothes which she had done when
she got arrested to she stripped off all her.
Speaker 3 (12:50):
Clothes.
Speaker 6 (12:51):
Wow, unfortunately the grandfather did come to his injuries and he.
Speaker 3 (12:55):
Died. Wow poor. MOM i, Think, mom that's like her.
Speaker 4 (13:01):
Brother the uncle was able to come over and remove
the toddler from that.
Speaker 6 (13:06):
Situation i'm so glad that, toddler you, know only sustained minor.
INJURIES i, MEAN i hate that they received any injuries at,
all but at, least you, know the toddler survived, this
and hopefully they. Weren't you, KNOW i don't. Know it's, funny, Remember.
Speaker 2 (13:21):
Yeah it's funny you mentioned that because, yes it's very
similar to the case that we covered yesterday as. Well
it's very unusual for, women specifically to have that level of,
violence right a, Screwdriver like, imagine you, know murdering somebody
with a screwdriver is. Unbelievable if there's also not some
sort of historic psychiatric.
Speaker 3 (13:42):
Issue.
Speaker 6 (13:43):
Wow and it's also bad for the. Mom like she
sends her dad, over she's not in. Town she's probably
going out of her. Mind there's literally nothing she can.
Do she sends her dad, over doesn't hear, back and she's,
like what's going? On you, KNOW i can't get ahold
of the. Nanny nobody's answering the, phone you, know whatever.
Situation she's out of town, again totally, helpless calls her
(14:04):
brother in. Law then this. HAPPENED i, mean she's got
to be out of her.
Speaker 3 (14:08):
Mind wow r.
Speaker 2 (14:11):
Yeah, NO i can't imagine hearts go. Out it gets
the worst case. Scenario it's.
Speaker 4 (14:17):
Terrible there's another CASE i would think we should touch.
On it's Sim it has now been in, trial but
it's referred to as a vampire daughter in law and
this woman filled her spouse with a. Sword oh my,
goodness in a very also just, big, dramatic, confusing you,
(14:37):
know woman prompted to your, Point stephanie.
Speaker 3 (14:40):
Crime so.
Speaker 6 (14:42):
IT'S i don't, know it just seems like something's going
on with the, women, right, like what's happening with?
Speaker 2 (14:48):
That what is DOING i, mean because you, know, listen
this is an, overstatement but oftentimes it's over love or
there's some sort of financial, gain, passion, passion, revenge right
Like grandpa does not seem like that is the. Category, No,
well stick around when we come, back we're going to
fill you in on actually something going on in one
(15:10):
of the darkest corners of The. Internet it's the seven six'
Four Sex Stortion Network True.
Speaker 3 (15:16):
Crime tonight.
Speaker 2 (15:27):
Welcome back To True crime Tonight. On iHeartRadio we're talking

your voice on it, is exceptional and of course body
(15:50):
your work on it.
Speaker 3 (15:51):
As well please check.
Speaker 2 (15:53):
IT out a new episode out now and that kind
of pivots into one of these stories that we're about.
To unpack and Then, also Idaho The idaho massacre, season
three please check.
Speaker 3 (16:04):
It out we're in the.
Speaker 2 (16:05):
Final stretch of, this chapter so it's hard, to imagine hard,
To imagine so let's go to a.
Speaker 3 (16:11):
Talkbo quocus so.
Speaker 8 (16:12):
Well done, hey guys This is Erica From, Myrtle Beach.
South carolina this is. Super random but Every time stephanie
says period, THE end i. Die laughing it's hilarious to
ME and i.
Speaker 7 (16:25):
LOVE it i love, you guys have a.
Speaker 2 (16:27):
GREAT day i don't even REALIZE that i say that.
Speaker 4 (16:32):
That's funny she is. Absolutely correct period the end is
how YOU.
Speaker 2 (16:37):
Really i can't even think of a Circumstance where i've even.
Speaker 3 (16:40):
Thought, that, SO yeah i guess you say stuffing you just. Black,
out yeah we just.
Speaker 2 (16:45):
The show starts and we kind of go, AND yeah
i guess period.
Speaker 6 (16:50):
The, end yeah it's just kind of you, just talk,
you talk, you talk, you talk and then you don't
remember everything. You said i'll like black out in The moment, i'm,
like oh WHAT did i say tense? Seconds ago, oh,
yeah yeah.
Speaker 2 (17:01):
That is a, very lovely lovely, Talkback though, so yes
hopefully it's.
Speaker 3 (17:06):
Too redundant sometimes we.
Speaker 2 (17:08):
SAY things i don't even REALIZE that i probably say things.
Speaker 3 (17:11):
Very regularly but thank you for, the talkback just the.
Speaker 2 (17:14):
Right amount, so yes we were, you know you know obviously,
in cells, you know really does unpack these, different dark
dark parts of.
Speaker 3 (17:23):
The web but really and how that's affecting.
Speaker 2 (17:25):
Young men, you know we spoke about this, once before
but there's this online group called seven, six four and,
you know the context to that is is. Pretty, EXTRAORDINARY
courtney i know your knee deep, into this so, you
know what do you want to?
Speaker 4 (17:40):
Unpack first, so first just a quick trigger warning if
you have a child. Within earshot this is incredibly. Dark
stuff we've been doing true crime for a long time
AND this i was shocked. BY this i didn't know
the existence. Of it so just a trigger warning.
Speaker 2 (17:59):
For this ride pretty epically like this is what made
you cry in your car right for. That's correct that
was the Last time i've seen?
Speaker 3 (18:06):
You, weep. Weeping.
Speaker 4 (18:07):
Weeping Yeah we so we were interviewing this wonderful prosecutor
who was very generous with, his time and we were
speaking about a case very directly related to in cells
and then he mentioned seven sixty four and we went
down the rabbit hole. A bit so we're going to
share this as kind of it's not as a, you know.
Fear mongering it is a sharing. Of information so it's
(18:30):
in the headlines. Right now There's an. Arizona man he's
facing twenty nine felony charges for allegedly exploding miners and
participating in a violent only online, extremist network the seven.
Sixty four this man's Name Is Baron. Kine martin he's
twenty one. Years old he's Out, of tucson and he's
accused of being part of this seven seven sixty four
(18:52):
group which Targets vulnerable, internet users very, often minors and
they do that to worse children into, self harm into,
sexual exploitation and violent and kind of.
Speaker 3 (19:08):
Unthinkable acts.
Speaker 4 (19:11):
The indictment alleges that this group has been operating since
at least about, twenty nineteen and they use literally online
manuals and chat rooms to manipulate miners as well as
others with. Mental issues, so again this IS something i
had never, heard about AND the. Fbi, has ACTUALLY the
(19:35):
fbi is investigating hundreds of cases related to seven sixty
four in. Its offshoots every single one of the FBI's
fifty six field offices across this country is involved to.
Some degree and there have been a number of network
leaders and members who've been arrested. And convicted, and again
(19:55):
this had been off, my radar even Though and i've
seen them with my. Own eyes NOW the fbi and
local law enforcement have issued public service announcements urging.
Speaker 2 (20:04):
Parental vigilance, and imagine so now you're a ten year,
old kid you happen to. Be online you're no longer
just playing What was roadblocks. Of yesterday now you're playing In,
roadblocks land which also has its fair share.
Speaker 3 (20:17):
Of problems or you wander into one.
Speaker 2 (20:19):
Of these places where one of these guys is and
they basically are sex supporting these. Young children so they're
coercing these young miners to maybe do, something inappropriate whether it's,
you know showing nudes or harming themselves or, you know
committing acts of sexual violence, against others and then using that.
Speaker 3 (20:41):
Information against them and saying that.
Speaker 2 (20:43):
They'll basically call authorities or call, their police or call
their aunt or uncle whoever's caring. For them so you
could imagine the mental prison these young kids are finding them,
in right and.
Speaker 3 (20:56):
They're too afraid to go and ask.
Speaker 6 (20:58):
For help oh, my god it'll be like then my
mom will know she's gonna KILL and i did this
and she's going to. Ground me i'll be in so.
Much trouble so they just keep escalating like these are just.
Speaker 2 (21:12):
The kids they don't even, know that they don't have
any sense of the consequence of that or the safety
and going and asking for help to make.
Speaker 3 (21:20):
IT stop i. Can't, imagine well.
Speaker 6 (21:23):
They target these vulnerable kids. Exactly intentionally and a little bit.
Speaker 4 (21:28):
Of background the group was founded by a teen a
guy who was a teenager at, The Time bradley Chance,
caden head and he Is, From. Stephenville texas the group
name seven six four actually just comes from the first
three digits of his, zip code And Ultimately cayden. Head
(21:48):
was he was Sentenced in may of twenty twenty three
to eighty years, in prison and that was for, extorting
miners for forcing production of child sexual, abuse content, animal
cruelty and.
Speaker 3 (22:01):
Self harm at the time.
Speaker 4 (22:03):
Of, a sentencing the judge said, to him there is
something horribly wrong, with YOU which.
Speaker 2 (22:11):
I mean eighty years says it, all right like that's a.
Real sentence, and again what is wrong with you that
this young boy would be doing this to other, young
children galvanizing other people to join this sicko club to
kind of blackmail.
Speaker 3 (22:28):
Young kids.
Speaker 4 (22:30):
And it seems in his case that he was motivated
by sort of power. And status he referred to himself
as a god online. Multiple times and part of this
group is that it appears that it's definitely not solely
for the sexual excitement. Of it it. Really is it becomes.
(22:52):
A game i use that word because that's the word
the prosecutor. Gave me sort of a game or a
challenge of the members of this group to sort of
one up. Each other if you can imagine that sickness,
of basically how far can you push your victim?
Speaker 8 (23:09):
To?
Speaker 2 (23:10):
Go, right yeah how much can you? Humiliate, that well
how much can you shame? A?
Speaker 6 (23:14):
Child yeah in some of, the cases they, you know
they'll tell a child to, you know get undressed and,
take photos and other times they'll tell the child to
kill the. Family cat, it's yeah and they just keep
one upping, each other and it's almost like who can
be the? Bigger troll and and it's very much a, control, Thing,
right like look at all THE control i have over
(23:37):
these people because they're not really, getting, money right there's
no money to be really. Made here this is just
about power, and control.
Speaker 4 (23:44):
That's Right And, abigail becchio she's the chief Of FBI's
Child Exploitation. Operational unit she Has warned i've seen several interviews,
with her and she warns of the severity and the
speed at which children can. Become victimized and one thing
she said really stuck. With me, she said offenders can
(24:05):
quote change your child's life in a matter, of minutes.
Speaker 6 (24:10):
And trauma that a child would experience going, through this like,
you said a prison in their, own, Mind, right, YES
yes i have to kill the family, hamster otherwise otherwise
they're going TO, DO x Y and z.
Speaker 4 (24:23):
To me they're going to kill my they're going to kill.
My parents they're going to, send, they'll they'll they'll urge
and really blackmail these children into. Different humiliations sort of
take a video of yourself vomiting and then you hold
that over a child's head, And say i'm going to
(24:43):
spread this to.
Speaker 2 (24:44):
YOUR school i will ruin your life. With this see
how your non friends like? This, picture yeah wait till
they find out that YOU, DID x Y. And z
you know that's hard for an adult. To, handle yeah
that's unimaginable On a now, you know. Picture yourself maybe,
You're online you've gone to a place you weren't maybe,
(25:05):
supposed to so you're already outside of your comfort zone as.
Speaker 3 (25:09):
A kid you don't want to get.
Speaker 2 (25:10):
In trouble now you're sort of being lured by, these creeps,
and yeah how do you get out?
Speaker 9 (25:16):
Of?
Speaker 4 (25:17):
That, Wow yeah and just a little bit more of
how it often tends to unfold it the methods, of
operation if. You will it often happens in private online forums.
Speaker 3 (25:29):
Such as Discord.
Speaker 4 (25:31):
And yeah the members of seven six four they maintain
strict control and to invite only, chat rooms and with
that then live video, chats happen recording and video sharing between,
different members which also very, very sadly then if you
are a victim of, one perpetrator you then very are often,
(25:54):
a perpetrator or, excuse me a victim of, multiple perpetrators
because they have the video and they have just as,
much power and now you are in their control. As
well It's very it, just snowballs and. It starts it
starts with grooming tactics we've spoken. About before it starts,
with hey HOW about i send you some roebucks or, you,
(26:16):
know hey and it starts, really, nice yeah and then
it turns.
Speaker 3 (26:21):
To blackmail.
Speaker 6 (26:24):
This is true crime Tonight on iHeartRadio And boddy Moving
and i'm Here with Courtney. And steffan we're right in
the middle of talking about this really dangerous online group
called seven six four and how they're. MANIPULATING children i
don't want to take up too, Much, time courtney what
can what can? We do what can we tell our
listeners to look out for or is there some advice
that we can give to help them let their kids know?
(26:45):
About this is that even whise, like it.
Speaker 3 (26:50):
You know here's here's what experts. Have said.
Speaker 4 (26:54):
Early reporting is critical if you know what, is happening
and it's very important because then what you are able to,
identify victims, these brave, brave victims then they, can ultimately,
you know have people put. BEHIND bars i did want
to give a couple of bits of information that a
lot of a lot of the reporting has come Through
(27:17):
The national Center for Missing And exploited children and their
Website is missingkids dot org and you can call the,
phone number it's one eight Hundred the lost and they
will really. Help you they will connect you WITH the
fbi or your local. Law enforcement but it's watching for signs.
(27:40):
Of kids it's a lot of what we've been. Talking
about are, they withdrawn are they eating or? Not eating
are they sleeping or, Not sleeping and just knowing that
children are targeted because they are they, are vulnerable and
they have a much higher likelihood of accepting a. Dominant
(28:00):
figure and it often is people who are looking looking
for something who perhaps they're they're searching for something that
may not be in, their homes which makes it hard,
to say pay careful attention to.
Speaker 3 (28:15):
Your CHILD but i.
Speaker 6 (28:18):
Mean they're targeting vulnerable, Children too so like kids maybe
that maybe not have a, good friends, you know maybe
or and they are lamenting about, that, online right and
then they get targeted, that way maybe through. A game
i would recommend blocking discord and like telegram from, your
routers and if you have something like the, bar, gap
(28:40):
right like making sure that discord and telegrams SPECIFICALLY are
i just.
Speaker 10 (28:46):
Did after you brought. That up what's a good way
for parents To protect they just did a quick search
and it's just some of the things we, talk about but.
Pretty general but open communication is a. Key thing setting
up boundaries and modern use is an, important one and
educating them about the platforms and the risks so that.
They're aware but the parents need to also stay up
to date on some of these trends as a lot
(29:06):
of sometimes we'll just, you know not be aware of.
What's happening and also teaching your kids some self. Protection
skills so it's heavy stuff, for children but you need
to be aware and they need to be aware so
the parents can.
Speaker 4 (29:20):
Guide, them YEAH and, i think as, you said body
blocking the channels that are invite only and just not
having any access to that because that seems really then
they are their own. Private audiences and also this group
is fairly, new again it's only, years old and yet it,
(29:42):
is worldwide. This, group wow some members have escalated to
knife attacks and to. Shootings offline there's concern that this
activity could expand just wildly with how much it has
already in a. Short time so this is just a
very serious topic that we were not. Awares of and then,
(30:07):
you know speaking for all of us in, this room.
Speaker 2 (30:09):
And we thought there Should, be yeah information, is everything,
you know and we don't want to scare either.
Speaker 6 (30:15):
Little bit it's like you need.
Speaker 10 (30:16):
To know that sometimes it's a little bit of being
scared street like you have scared to.
Speaker 6 (30:21):
Just, know yeah like even maybe just telling your children that,
this group there are groups like this and because a
lot the kids are scared to talk to mom and dad, about,
It right like they're scared and letting, them, know, LIKE
hey i know about. This group if there's something like
this happens, TO you i don't want you to be
afraid to come talk. TO me i don't even know
if that, would work but it's a start, To, start yeah.
(30:43):
To start we have some more talkbacks that we want to.
Speaker 3 (30:45):
Dig into.
Speaker 11 (30:46):
Hi guys This is Andy. FROM minnesota I Watched A
perfect neighbor Ahead Of true Crime, and CHILL and i
won't give any, spoiler ALERTS but i was absolutely infuriated watching.
THAT doctor i cannot believe that people still treat people
like this in this day.
Speaker 3 (31:05):
And age in.
Speaker 11 (31:05):
This country we could be doing so.
Speaker 3 (31:08):
Much better.
Speaker 11 (31:09):
Thank, you Anyways as stephanie, would.
Speaker 3 (31:11):
Say oh i'm didn't pay. My pants oh SO do

Speaker 3 (31:29):
Too, okay, fine yeah well well that. SOUNDS horrible i couldn't. Agree.
Speaker 2 (31:39):
Though more that's why we have to evaluate Our next
true crime. And trail my nervous system cannot handle the
ANGER that i felt watching.
Speaker 3 (31:46):
THIS one i know we'll get to it, next segment,
BUT yeah i get so worked up sometimes watching.
Speaker 2 (31:53):
This stuff that that's why it's important that we're discussing
it right because obviously it's a hot.
Speaker 3 (31:57):
Button and thank god for body, cam footage but, my
goodness it makes me so. Wildly mad so, great talk,
thank you. Thank, you yeah we should be doing so.
Much better we could be doing so. Much, better agreed
we have to. Do better we are better, the end we,
are better period. THE end i.
Speaker 10 (32:17):
Love it. Thank you let's.
Speaker 3 (32:22):
Go too, hey guys This is Brittany.
Speaker 12 (32:25):
FROM ohio i just want to let YOU know i
am listening to your.
Speaker 7 (32:28):
Podcast from last night where you guys are talking about
crockpot recipes In The. MISSISSIPPI roast i instead of using
forks and knives or, TWO forks i use my hand
mixer to shed things in.
Speaker 10 (32:38):
The crockpot it.
Speaker 12 (32:39):
Does make a little bit of, a mess and you
don't want to do it for too.
Speaker 7 (32:42):
Long otherwise it'll make it.
Speaker 5 (32:43):
Too small but.
Speaker 7 (32:44):
Shredding with the hand mixer is far easier than doing
it the.
Speaker 3 (32:48):
Other way love, YOU guys i do, that too and
you do do. That, body yeah the.
Speaker 10 (32:55):
Hand, MIXER okay i.
Speaker 3 (32:56):
Ever have thought, of that and it makes me.
Speaker 6 (32:58):
So easy she's one hundred. PERCENT right i don't do
it all, the, time but like, you know most of,
The times i'll use a. HAND mixer i bought one specifically.
Speaker 3 (33:07):
FOR them i don't.
Speaker 10 (33:08):
Own one it seems like wouldn't it, get messy? Doesn't?
Speaker 3 (33:10):
It, like no you put in.
Speaker 6 (33:11):
A bowl you just put it in a little. Like chicken,
let's say like a couple of. Chicken breasts you put
it in, a bowl and then you use the hand
mixer and you just it.
Speaker 2 (33:19):
SHREDS instantly i was suggesting that it probably like jumped
out of the bowl a little.
Speaker 10 (33:25):
Bit like it.
Speaker 6 (33:26):
Might flattery but but and you do it after, it's, cooked,
right right, RIGHT right i mean obviously.
Speaker 3 (33:32):
You don't it's like a.
Speaker 2 (33:33):
Little softer by, THE way i did buy the prime
THE uh i bought.
Speaker 3 (33:37):
SO good i bought. The beef but by the way
that to, THE grocer. I couldn't.
Speaker 2 (33:41):
IT didn't i didn't have enough time to. Slow Cook
so i'm doing. That tomorrow so. Great tip one thing,
ABOUT moving i don't have all, the, STUFF right i.
DON'T know i kind of like having like empty empty Cabin.
Speaker 6 (33:54):
The mississippi, pot roast so you really don't. Need it
it literally will.
Speaker 2 (33:57):
Fall apart i'm going to get a, hand, mixer though
because it is good to have that in.
Speaker 6 (34:00):
THE house i use IT because i make a lot,
of CHICKEN so i use it specifically for chicken like
brust and, not thyes because the bones and stuff are.
Speaker 3 (34:08):
In there but like brust, and, stuff yes just shreads.
Speaker 6 (34:11):
So easy if you have a lot, OF chicken i
definitely recommend getting a hammexer and doing it.
Speaker 3 (34:14):
That way, all right add this to. My list you
guys are my life on.
Speaker 2 (34:17):

like everyone makes such a big thing.
Speaker 3 (35:02):
ABOUT that i, love THEM so i agree with. That
one there's never any meat. ON them i can't eat
the WINGS because i can't eat stuff with bones. In
them it freaks. Me out it's too much reality. For me.
Speaker 6 (35:14):

an i know that this is like a ch a
THING like i, can't YEAH like i can't.

that Face because, I'M like i can't FEEL like i
can eat every single thing. You're naming SO but i
agree with her point about it is a lot. Of
WORK and i have that more with like lobster when people.
Speaker 3 (35:55):

i can't. DO it i just can't.
Speaker 3 (36:06):
Do crab legs are a little.
Speaker 2 (36:07):
Bit unsatisfying SOMETIMES lobster i can get on board, with
Them and i'm like.
Speaker 3 (36:11):
A professional if given sound like.
Speaker 6 (36:13):
The head the guts out of, The cross.
Speaker 3 (36:17):
I'll totally do the little legs on.
Speaker 4 (36:19):
THE lobster i have a lobster, confession actually and this
was very NORMAL where i grew Up in connecticut that
when we would sometimes in the summer you get lobsters
and you, boil them well you you'd get, them live
and It sounds i'm going to. Get letters we'd put
them on the floor and and and kind of raise
(36:41):
them and. LIKE that i wish who gets to the
pot first before we well it was on. The floors
it just kind of got. To whatever.
Speaker 3 (36:50):
The people who did not grow up.
Speaker 4 (36:52):
With that as normal are making all the faces that
are being.
Speaker 3 (36:55):
LOOKED out, i mean.
Speaker 10 (36:57):
Sameers, are delicious and they.
Speaker 3 (37:02):
Are delicious and then they kind of cry in, the
pot which. IS terrible i can never like. Witness it
YEAH that i never, heard it BUT no. I, can't.
Speaker 2 (37:10):
Yeah it's not for. Me either that is not for.
Me either let's go to another.

a jess here who left the.
Speaker 9 (37:18):
Last, who, okay oh thirty seconds is just not. Long
enough but if you need Just from pennsylvania back again
to finish. MY thought I Love Body's crime lab the.
Other night the way that you explained all the different
kinds of evidence made it so easy to understand and easy,
to REMEMBER and i feel smarter for having listened. To
(37:41):
it what can body?
Speaker 7 (37:42):
Not do?
Speaker 9 (37:43):
Absolutely nothing oh.
Speaker 3 (37:45):
My god so, Much oh, Jess, bless. Yes accurate you are.
Speaker 6 (37:50):
Wicked smarts and, you know that was the night That
unfortunately joseph had the. Technical PROBLEMS so i had, to,
like well let's just figure something out. Real QUICK and
i had written this thing when because this forensics document
had come out FOR that i DON'T and i was
on TikTok and i, was scrolling, you know looking, for like,
you know silly cat videos, or whatever and there are
(38:12):
a lot. Of people there were a lot of people
that were talking about the trace evidence that was left
on the, knife sheath but they were misinterpreting what. That
meant AND so i, Was like i'm going to, show
them you KNOW what, i mean like one of those type.
Speaker 3 (38:25):
Of THINGS so I was.
Speaker 6 (38:26):
I remembered i, was, LIKE oh i wrote this, EVIDENCE
document i can just.
Speaker 3 (38:29):
Do that so it was.
Speaker 6 (38:31):
Last MINUTE and i appreciate the COMPLIMENT because i really
kind of threw it together.
Speaker 3 (38:34):
Last minute well.
Speaker 2 (38:35):
It was because it's, so simplified and these are like
big words that get used so and you have such
a great way of boiling. It down there's no way
that we can all Understand.
Speaker 10 (38:46):
Good, and also like a little bit of a school
teacher energy when you TALK and i, Feel, like okay
she's doing it in a, good way like a good.
Speaker 3 (38:53):
LIKE that.
Speaker 6 (39:00):
I was, shocked BECAUSE like i have such an admiration
for teachers like My. Friend michelle she's just like this.
Wonderful teacher SO anytime i get cam, you know compared to,
A teacher i get like happy.
Speaker 3 (39:09):
ABOUT that.
Speaker 6 (39:10):
I was i wasn't insulted.
Speaker 3 (39:11):
At all that was.
Speaker 10 (39:12):
Very, good yeah.
Speaker 3 (39:14):
Teachers are to really like, Work, right.
Speaker 10 (39:17):
Yeah under underrated and they don't get the attention and
acclimates that. They deserve.
Speaker 6 (39:23):
No pay my my poor friend she like buys markers
and like she does a LOT of stem like the
science and technology and all that for for. These kids
and she pays for, all this a lot of this
stuff on her.

Speaker 2 (40:14):
Your vacation glad we could help in your play the
way that happened to me. Last WEEKEND so i was
road tripping and stayed at two different hotels that shall,
remain NAMELESS but i had the. SAME experience i walked
IN and i was like AS if i was walking
into a. Crime SCENE like i heard all of the
details in my head and all the THINGS that i
should be. Aware OF then i was aware HOW psychotic
(40:35):
i AM that i have this checklist in. My head
but then, you know we had all the great listeners
call in with even.
Speaker 3 (40:40):
More pylons you had. THE remote i was like using
the remote like, you know wrapped in. Tissue paper, you.
Know silliness it kind of does take the fun out
of a, NIGHT away i tell.
Speaker 4 (40:50):
You them but don't you guys remember from way back
in the day having when they would do like expose,
and YEAH and.
Speaker 3 (40:59):
I lack the.
Speaker 10 (41:03):
Hard toppy and it was always like it was the
remote that was. Always filthy another, trick though that someone.
Taught me they bring the zip block bags and then
they put the remote. In that so. You're smart so
it's another that wasn't like one.
Speaker 6 (41:20):
Of those gallons ziploc bags or something you just that
is actually. Really smart THAT'S what i, really did because
then because they can just.
Speaker 10 (41:27):
Thrown away you're doing exactly.
Speaker 6 (41:29):
You can you can store stuff in the ziplock when
you're traveling and then unpack it then use that.
Speaker 3 (41:35):
Same ziplock there, you go.
Speaker 2 (41:37):
So smart my makeup and necessories in. Plastic bags fanciest
carry bags with like, you know for, your cosmetics and
they never quite fit correctly or they're too heavy for
your stuff gets all broken. In them plastic bags are.
The answer so you think it seems, zip.
Speaker 10 (41:53):
BLOCKS right.
Speaker 3 (41:56):
A little bit of all those you could lay down in.
Speaker 6 (42:03):
Your bed fun that She's In, SOUTH korea i would
be like seven hundred pounds coming BACK because I love
korean food so much, delicious that oh, MY god i

Speaker 3 (43:31):
One cheese it's like picking your. Favorite child.
Speaker 4 (43:37):

Fun hi There a Zamber From.
Speaker 14 (44:00):
NORTH dakota i was listening to your episode about the,
vacuum bags the compression bags for storing clothes, and traveling
and they do make some that have basically a double
valve system on the, bag itself so you seal the
bag and roll it up in a certain direction and
then it.
Speaker 6 (44:21):
Takes all the air out and you have a perfectly.
Speaker 3 (44:23):
Compressed bag works like.
Speaker 2 (44:25):
A charm, she's right it's a very. Good tip it's a.
Little bit doesn't it involve a vacuum.
Speaker 3 (44:32):
Or something it's the double valves she was.
Speaker 4 (44:35):
Talking about you don't, need it so when you, push
it air only goes one way in a, double valve
so you can push, it out.
Speaker 3 (44:41):
But then the air doesn't get stuck. Back, in ah
so you don't leave.
Speaker 2 (44:45):
The hole you don't need or like if you're, LIKE
tah i know YOU and i do the. Same thing
like you're leaning on it and rolling it and pushing
it out exactly Like, never, yeah yeah just bring.
Speaker 10 (44:59):
That thing you're fascinating some of. The people what people
respond to that we, Talk, about like we've got more
talkbacks about cheeses and compression love eggs and yeah.
Speaker 3 (45:10):
About probably six to eight. Compression, bags wow three. Mental
cheese so that's just hitting.

safely right can we?

Speaker 7 (47:36):
So lud oh, my gosh thank you.
Speaker 2 (47:37):
So MUCH and i love to.
Speaker 7 (47:38):
Hear it and you know when you guys played, IT
earlier i, was like that's. SO funny i, love it,
you know to hear it come to life with. The
show it's just. Really cool that's.
Speaker 6 (47:48):
So, Cool, SO tyler i understand that there's some things
that you've experienced that are, pretty, Wild Right so i'm
going to give a quick overview of like these these
cases that you you kind, of had have some knowledge
of that happened in your hometown that have kind of.
Speaker 3 (48:04):
Affected you is, that, okay, yeah, sure okay here.
Speaker 6 (48:07):
We go so in two thousand, And Two hayward bissele
he pled guilty but mentally ill to the two thousand
murder of, His girlfriend Patricia and Boer, In, tryon georgia
and he was sentenced to life. In prison After, Killing
patricia Hayward, fled alabama where he attempted to murder two
(48:28):
men before being Apprehended with patricia's mutilated body in. His
car Police said patricia had been stabbed, numerous times her eyes,
were gouged and some of her organs were. Partly removed
what A hand? A, hand yeah one of her hands
had been cut off and also her leg and she
(48:52):
was sitting in the front seat of. HIS car i
mean THIS is i DIDN'T even i didn't even know
about this until tell, This. STORY tyler i understand he
was captured in. Your hometown how old were you when
this happened and what do you remember about?
Speaker 7 (49:07):
It ALL so i was about fourteen years old when.
This happened and, mind you let's just start off the
top of This, was alabama so you can just use
your imagination as to like as the how it was
handled and just the. Story itself but, YOU know i
was fourteen years old and like just starting. HIGH school
(49:30):
i was like a freshman. Or SOPHOMORE and, i Mean
Like britney spears was on the, radio right like pop
music was very like the. Moment, there yeah it was
like it was the movies were. Really good they were
they were really popping off into a Girl interrupted like
THAT'S what, i, remember yes and so like that's like
(49:50):
the era of, my life like starting high school when.
This happened, BUT yeah i mean one of my high
school history teachers was also, a coach and he kicked
in the door of the high school, was, like, there
well we got a bulls we called. This girl and
so he burst in to say that that they caught
(50:10):
vigilante style stopped this man who had cut a few
people up in, the, town like and this is JUST
how i found out, about it And then i'll break
it down to like what, really happened. You know so
if we fast forward to the future a, little Bit
where bissell cut this man and and killed his dogs
(50:34):
was on the same ROAD that i was about to
move into with. My grandparents we were going to be his.
Future neighbors so this is how close, it Was So, Heyward,
bissil yes as you, had said he had killed, His,
girlfriend patricia and she, was pregnant and they had Left
from ohio and she was five it was either five
(50:55):
weeks or five. Months pregnant but they had stopped In,
some georgia and which is very very close to my
Hometown in ALABAMA where i lived Is The tri, state
Area And tri state is mentioned in a future thing
that we. Talk about so It, Was, alabama Georgia. And
tennessee so he passed through all of them to Get
(51:18):
to georgia where he did subsequently. Kill her and then
after he, killed her he drove her over the state
lineing in my hometown and had her propped up in
the passenger seat like she. Was alive oh, my god
and he had in, a panic like his car. BROKE
down i believe he had possibly been involved with a
hit and run. As well he pulled off to a
(51:42):
house to ask, for help but they immediately were like
alarmed by, his presence and they told him he needed,
to leave so he pulled out A straight he pulls
out a straight razor and cuts the man across the
stomach completely. And runs he runs into the house and
his two rottweiler's go after, the man and he kills the,
(52:03):
two rottweilers cut.
Speaker 3 (52:04):
Their throats he cut the.
Speaker 6 (52:07):
Rottweiler's throats he's.
Speaker 7 (52:13):
His bath this was pre. Bath salts this might have
been just. PURE met i, don't know, right right but,
you know at this point he had he, had left
and this man's wife had come out with a shotgun
and fired a shot, at him and like nicked m
shot Him and thistle ran off into. The darkness the,
(52:35):
next DAY while i was, in school they. Caught him
they formed like a roadblock on the highway and they
found his car and a bunch of, you know one
of them was a high school teacher and, football coach and,
you know and, you know Just several townsolk.
Speaker 3 (52:51):
And the police.
Speaker 7 (52:53):
Stopped him finally and they were able to get him
out of, the car and that's when they discovered that
his his then girlfriends. Was dead and, even further they
found like bits of her body like on, his person
like in, his pockets and then he was chewing on
something the, whole time and when they finally took, it
(53:16):
out they discovered it was Her, Esophagee.
Speaker 3 (53:19):
Tyler what is wrong with? This person?
Speaker 6 (53:22):
Okay wa so when he when he went off into
the woods after he slashed the, dog's throats they didn't
even know that this poor woman was in. The car
they didn't find that. Until after so they were looking
for him, because he, you know slashed this guy in
the stomach and then killed. His dogs so that's why
(53:43):
they were cost and the possible hit. Run run oh,
my god this must have been a grizzly and he
was he had bits of her in his pockets and
chewing On.
Speaker 7 (53:54):
His, god, yeah yeah there were a little more grass things.
Speaker 11 (54:00):
Of.
Speaker 4 (54:00):
HER then i didn't barely, contain myself but that ching
on The, Esophagus, tyler, Yeah yeah.
Speaker 3 (54:09):
I'm more graphical.
Speaker 13 (54:10):
Than.
Speaker 7 (54:10):
That wow to add the scariness, to this this man
is like six five and he's like five. Hundred pounds he's.
A gooliath.
Speaker 3 (54:20):
Where does this end with him being put away forever
and ever.
Speaker 7 (54:24):
And ever so they got him and then they took
Him To Fort payne Jail, in alabama which Is In,
decab county and they took him there and they held
him for a while because he was guilty of crimes in,
that county which were attempted murder and murder of these
dogs and transporting a. Dead body right so he was
also charged with kidnapping for every state line. He crossed
(54:45):
so there was a lots of litigation and lots. Of
things and, you know he did. Plead guilty he tried
to get away with it by. Pleading guilty and, you
know that's that's about as FAR as i know, so
far was that that he had plagued guilty and then
and they.
Speaker 4 (55:00):
For, Life, OKAY tyler i need to reset myself and.
Speaker 3 (55:06):
COKE immediately i need, a diet coke. And more this
is true.
Speaker 4 (55:09):
Crime Tonight I'm courtney armstrong here as always a body
move In And stephanie leidecker and right now we're talking
about the criminal Escapades.
Speaker 3 (55:20):
Of howard, Excuse Me hayward Bissle.
Speaker 4 (55:23):
In georgia and we are Joined By, tyler stone producer
and music expert and, genius extraordinaire who is giving us
the kind of in depth account of. THIS guy i
had never Heard Of. Hayward, bistle yeah me neither, OR
no i had never heard of the story. IT'S been,
(55:44):
i mean this is something you would THINK that i would.
KNOW about i never even heard of. This before so did?
Was there do we know if there was any explanation
for the.
Speaker 2 (55:56):
Cannibalism for this this person was experiencing.
Speaker 3 (56:00):
Very rare It is, god Yeah? Thank?
Speaker 6 (56:02):
God right but did he do, You, know tyler did
you ever? Follow up do you know if why you?
Speaker 15 (56:07):
Did this according to the, you know my own, Following
UP like i really just came to the determination he
was just, Mentally UNWELL like i can't put a proper
diagnosis on something, like THAT but.
Speaker 7 (56:20):
I do believe that IT was i do believe he.
Was schizophrenic they they found that, he was, you know,
severely schizophrenic. Likely Untreated and I'm not this isn't an
attempt to demonize any group, of people.
Speaker 4 (56:33):
You KNOW what?
Speaker 7 (56:34):
I mean this is just based off OF what i had,
you know come to. Find out and his behavior in
the uh in the jail was even, more alarming like
he was tearing the. Place apart he was very hard.
To subdue they had to tranquilize him several times and hog.
Tie him, he was, you know doing bad things to
(56:58):
himself with the shower rod, catch minded like he was,
throwing seefy throwing hankies all over.
Speaker 3 (57:04):
The.
Speaker 7 (57:04):
Prison yeah so he and to top, it off he.
Was huge he. Was uncontrollable he was like, a giant
giant Man.
Speaker 4 (57:10):
Monster tyler what was WHAT was i guess the vibe
is not the, right word but the atmosphere in, the
town if there was was sort of a vigilante in the,
air monster if.
Speaker 7 (57:24):
You know for for the, most part like me and,
my group we didn't hear about what. Had HAPPENED so
i guess they kept it quieted to not, create PANIC
because i, YOU know i JUST think i would have
heard at some point in the middle of, the night,
you know before getting into school that one of my
neighbors got. Cut up, maybe not but it was in
it was during school the next day when my, you
(57:47):
know one of my teachers just he was opening the
door telling, everyone like we, got him we, got him we. Got,
him wow this, big burly red headed red MAN about
i just looked.
Speaker 2 (57:59):
Him up.
Speaker 6 (57:59):
He's, huge yeah, you're right. He's huge he's a.
Speaker 10 (58:04):
Big dude AND also i did try to check to
see what the status is, right now and there's not
a Lot other everything just says he was sentenced to life.
In prison but there's no.
Speaker 6 (58:14):
Real right so they didn't give like a motive or
like the drugs or anything.
Speaker 3 (58:19):
Like, that yeah THAT'S what i was.
Speaker 6 (58:20):
Just WONDERING but i just read too that her some
of her organs had, been removed and one of them
was her heart and her liver and they were found in. The,
car yeah so he was driving around With this he
was driving around with, this woman this, poor woman she,
was pregnant and he, killed, her obviously and she had her,
(58:43):
eyes removed her heart and, liver removed hand and a leg,
cut off and he had her propped up like a
mannequin in her car or in, the car and he
was just. DRIVING around, i mean clearly there's. Something, wrong
yeah you're this guy's off his rocker one. Hundred percent
and then he hits somebody hit and run and he goes,
(59:06):
for help like he's, got this you KNOW what, I
mean like.
Speaker 3 (59:10):
You're obviously not.
Speaker 6 (59:11):
Thinking, properly yeah he goes, for help and the guy
answers the door and he, attacks him and then the
two the two rot rilers.
Speaker 3 (59:18):
GET involved, i mean this is just like.
Speaker 2 (59:21):
You know this is you bring up not to do
a little slight tangent with curious what, you guys what
you guys would do in. This scenario it's two thirty in,
the morning someone's banging on. Your door i'm, not answering,
help me helpmzing and you look out the window and
it's a it's a, young girl, help me. Help me,
you know she. ESCAPED somewhere i call. The cops, you
know sometimes the cops don't come.
Speaker 10 (59:41):
So quick yeah.
Speaker 6 (59:42):
That's TRUE but i mean there's so many situations nowadays
where that's. A, ruse.
Speaker 10 (59:47):
Yeah, yeah yeah YOU know i Would fall i'm The,
good samaritan and he would, say.
Speaker 3 (59:53):
That Of course i'd want to help. This WOMAN but,
I know i THINK you're i think you're giving the.
Speaker 2 (59:57):
Right advice i'd be the first to be killed YEAR
because i for sure would have opened the door and
would open the door because we have heard stories of
girls that are escaping a domestic situation or abused family
situation till they go, to, escape yeah or tossed on
the side of the road and thankfully somebody takes. Them
in but to, your point that's also a real way
to get bait.
Speaker 3 (01:00:18):
And switched in the middle of the night and somebody
busts into. YOUR house i would.
Speaker 6 (01:00:22):
Call mine one one right down the street.
Speaker 2 (01:00:25):
From, me yeah That's How the stranger. Started exactly not.
Everybody else, You Know courtney armstrong beat up. ANY intruder i.
Speaker 3 (01:00:34):
Don't Know the.
Speaker 2 (01:00:35):
Stranger, scarious yes it's like the scariest.
Speaker 6 (01:00:39):
Movie, ever yeah it's really scary because. It's real it's
a home invasion kind.
Speaker 3 (01:00:44):
Of movie. It's awful.
Speaker 10 (01:00:47):
Take.
Speaker 3 (01:00:47):
That, off yeah don't put that on your cabin hill.
THERE scary I, got yeah you're the one that told us.
ABOUT it.
Speaker 10 (01:00:53):

Speaker 3 (01:01:00):
Scary things, wait Quick ta Ania.
Speaker 6 (01:01:04):

Speaker 3 (01:01:05):
Love tyler she's in. That movie it's. Really good That's. Very,
strangers yeah. THAT'S great i talked about it Like on.
Speaker 10 (01:01:10):
Halloween, yeah yeah it Was our. HALLOWEEN topic i am
still still recovering from.
Speaker 3 (01:01:14):
That because it was a.
Speaker 4 (01:01:16):
Candy comba, well listen stick, around Everybody because tyler will
be sticking around, with us which.
Speaker 6 (01:01:24):

Speaker 2 (01:01:24):
THRILLING scared, I, know tyler what else did you possibly have?
Speaker 3 (01:01:28):
For us? My goodness and, you know let's talk about.
Speaker 4 (01:01:31):
Some cremations so we're going to hear all about the
tri state crematory scandal that haunted. HIS hometown i.
Speaker 3 (01:01:40):
Don't, know tyler we want to hear.
Speaker 4 (01:01:42):
From you eight to day Three, On Crime True. Crime
tonight welcome Back To True crime Tonight.
Speaker 2 (01:01:57):
On iHeartRadio we're talking true crime all. The time so
if you like, that Song It's tyler stone who's with
us right now who composed it and is also. A
producer by, The Way I'm stephanie leidecker Here With courtney
armstrong body move in and Of, Course taha Sam and
adam holding down the fort in the. Control, Room, so
tyler you've already Scared the jesus out of. Us already
(01:02:21):
so what else do you have from this hometown. OF
yours i saw the word crematorium and YOU.
Speaker 3 (01:02:28):
Already i, was like, Oh, Boy okay.
Speaker 4 (01:02:30):
I'm, SO yeah i am so scared of your. Town
already but if you, Don't, Mind tyler i'll give just A.
Speaker 3 (01:02:36):
LITTLE si i wonder you got the heck out of there.
Speaker 2 (01:02:39):
Your, art, Yeah okay so here's.
Speaker 4 (01:02:44):
What's up back in two thousand, and Two The Tri.
State crematory this was In. Northwest georgia it was the
center of a nationwide. Filthy scandal it was discovered that
at this crematory only three hundred and forty bodies that
were supposed to be consigned to this prematory for, you
(01:03:06):
know the proper, proper disposal but, guess what they. Weren't
cremated they were dumped at multiple locations.
Speaker 3 (01:03:15):
In and around the.
Speaker 4 (01:03:16):
Crematorium site and a Guy Named Ray brent marsh, was
arrested which, sounds correct on over three hundred criminal violations,
AND ultimately i don't Know that i've actually can remember
hearing account. This high he was ultimately charged By the
State of georgia with seven hundred and eighty. Seven counts
(01:03:38):
so it was theft, and deception abusing a corpse you
know that times three hundred.
Speaker 3 (01:03:43):
And forty.
Speaker 4 (01:03:45):
Also burial service, related frauds giving, false, statements WOW and
i am shocked. By this but in, twenty sixteen This
Guy Ray, brent marsh he was Released From Central, State.
Speaker 3 (01:03:59):
Prison georgia he had served his twelve.
Speaker 4 (01:04:02):
Year sentence, and wow and now he's walking among us
And doing god, guys.
Speaker 10 (01:04:07):
Out he's on walking.
Speaker 3 (01:04:10):
The streets.
Speaker 4 (01:04:10):
He's Out, So, tyler okay so you lived not Far From.
Speaker 3 (01:04:16):
Tri state so could.
Speaker 4 (01:04:17):
You actually like place yourself geographically and tell us if
you remember.
Speaker 3 (01:04:22):
This, story, yeah.
Speaker 7 (01:04:24):
Sure exactly so as, you said It's The Tri state Crematorium.
In georgia AND as i said in the, EARLIER segment
i lived In The tri. STATE area i live in
a small Town, Called, mintone alabama which is In The.
Appalachian mountain you could drive five minutes To the. Georgia
line you drive another twenty minutes To the. Tennessee LINE
(01:04:44):
and i lived in a. Dry county so, like people
if they wanted alcohol or, lottery tickets they. Would go
they would call, it bootlegging and they would bootleg it
back into the County. From, georgia okay let's just just set.
The scene is like the, small town small Town that. I'm,
From interesting so that's that's basically THE area i lived
(01:05:04):
about probably forty five minutes away from Where This tri state.
Crematorium was so this particularly didn't happen to my, town
particularly but it did involve people in my town because
it was the only crematorium within like a fifty. Mile,
radio sure no funeral funeral homes from all over the
(01:05:28):
area are sending, their moms, their sons, their brothers their
grandma's your, Neighbor crematorium, your neighbors all of, Our, neighbors
yeah are sending them to this place and they are
being sent back concrete dust. As remain no so and
no one just no one. Questioned it like who's going.
Speaker 3 (01:05:48):
To say how do you? Question it no one's, going.
Speaker 7 (01:05:52):
Right yeah so you're not going to. Contest that oh
that was like ashes, to. Me right so that they
were doing this a, very long, very long very, long
time as, you said like three hundred and, sixty bodies and,
you know he didn't start running his funeral home until like.
The nineties his father was doing it since, the seventies
(01:06:14):
and his father was also poarding. The body it's a,
family thing so.
Speaker 3 (01:06:19):
That's where he.
Speaker 6 (01:06:20):
Learned it like so that he's learning. The scam it's a. Family,
scam right. It's generational, You know dad got away with
it for thirty years and he, got money he got paid.
Speaker 3 (01:06:31):
For this i'm going to do the. Same thing how
do you? LEAP it.
Speaker 4 (01:06:34):
I don't i was just thinking if someone, GAVE me i,
don't know a very very very important piece of paper
and said you need to sort of. HIDE this i also.
Couldn't sleep but hundreds of bodies and you're putting it, in
here and you're putting. Them there how how do you're?
Speaker 2 (01:06:50):
There everywhere and we were just doing this Story With
Joseph scott morgan, as WELL and i in, My head
i'm kind of sickened about it ABOUT do i want
to get.
Speaker 3 (01:07:00):
Cremated one day? God forbid or do you want to?
Speaker 2 (01:07:02):
Be buried we came to a, NATURAL burial i think
IS where, i landed only after there's been a, proper
investigation so my body would have to be held until
all autopsies. Were complete that could take. A minute so
we don't want to rush. To uh we don't want
to rush to cremate BECAUSE sometimes i can backfire too in.
AN investigation i don't know why there's an investigation around.
Speaker 3 (01:07:20):
MY death i why already. SEEMS, suspicious fyi.
Speaker 2 (01:07:29):
But you know so, again, like yeah you you send
your loved one under the best of, sacred conditions one,
would assume.
Speaker 3 (01:07:36):
How do you fact check if the ashes?
Speaker 6 (01:07:38):
ARE accurate i wonder if YOU can dna, test ashes.
Speaker 7 (01:07:42):
But who wants to.
Speaker 3 (01:07:43):
DO that i listen that.
Speaker 6 (01:07:45):
The way things are going in the news that we've been,
covering lately with like this stuff Out of, colorado too
and then this thing that we learned About, In MEXICO
like i Am like orleans where.
Speaker 3 (01:07:55):
There's, cemetery Oh The new orleans.
Speaker 6 (01:07:57):
Went too i'm going to use part of the MONEY
that i HAVE that i give to my surviving kin
to TEST my DNA because i want to make sure
that they'd get my ashes back and not.
Speaker 3 (01:08:07):
Concrete dust i'll check out. For you i'll.
Speaker 7 (01:08:10):
BE sure i want to hear something that will really
push the whole conversation into a completely, different direction and
this is directly related to.
Speaker 3 (01:08:17):
This.
Speaker 7 (01:08:17):
Case absolutely how would you feel if you were told
that him and his father were actually victims of mergury
poisoning because all of the corpses silver teeth poisoned them
and made. Them psychotic because that's what it eventually came
to determination he had extreme Mercury poison it was tested in.
(01:08:40):
His blood wait, a minute he was breathing in mercury
for years with his father because at the time they weren't.
Regulating it and also that particular Crematorium in georgia fell
under a certain loophole that didn't make it, state sanctioned
so they were not they were not subject or held
accountable to state audits or state investigations or state, you
(01:09:03):
know will you come in and check? On something you
know that any of those type of drop in. Didn't
happen and so basically you have years of mercury inhalation
poisoning kind of driving the other driving the car while also.
Doing this so baffled me about the whole situation is
(01:09:24):
he's sane enough to take the money and cash. The
check he's not sane enough to put the bodies away
or to do what's right with. The bodies but he
did plead like criminal insanity by way of. Mercury poisoning
well did?
Speaker 11 (01:09:41):
That?
Speaker 4 (01:09:42):
Work okay first, Of, all tyler. That's, insane however the
poisoning that he got from the bodies were. From bodies
when this whole thing started and there were, no bodies
there was, no mercury so they created their. Own psychosis
i'm not dismissing that they had merc cury poisoning at
the end.
Speaker 7 (01:10:01):
Of the fumes of the it's the fumes that the
mercury create when they when they, were cremating when they
were doing.
Speaker 10 (01:10:10):
Their jobs when they were doing it the, proper way early.
Speaker 7 (01:10:12):
On, proper way it created a toxic gas that he
was breathing in and and. Created. PSYCHOSIS yeah.
Speaker 6 (01:10:22):
I just looked it up and It Says, attorney poston Who,
represented marsh said he believes that unhealthy conditions at the
crematory led to the death of his father and turned
The younger marsh into the modern Day. Mad hatter they
said that they had ruled out all the, other theories
Including that marsh was lazy or that not create premating
(01:10:43):
the bodies was financially benefiting, to him but it was.
This mercury this is true Stor My. Heart radio we're
talking true crime all, the time and we're here with
the producer And Composer, tyler stone who's just telling this
the most insane Story of georgia in this crematorium that
wasn't doing its job and was hiding the bodies and.
(01:11:04):
MERCURY pose i never would have thought this when you
first said In, The teeth, i'm, like well HOW do
i because, YOU know i have some some feelings from
back in. The, Day come i'm not dying. Of mercury,
But duh i'm not, being, cremated right it's the.
Speaker 2 (01:11:17):
Number one you're not, Being CREMATED and i think the
mercury has since changed in more, recent, Times right so
that's probably not even an option in your mouth.
Speaker 3 (01:11:25):
RIGHT now I would i.
Speaker 2 (01:11:27):
WOULD assume i just say the word crematorium is also
so scary, to me is?
Speaker 3 (01:11:32):
IT really i. DON'T know i don't every time any
one of you, SAYS it i don't, Like, IT.
Speaker 2 (01:11:38):
Stephanie i don't like storage, unit's either, but yeah they both.
Sort of that's A scary i, don't know it's a
scary thought horror.
Speaker 10 (01:11:47):
Movie title going back To something tyler, you, said though
that's a, good point like he was still, sane enough if,
you will to take the checks and do, the money
and like there's a side that feels like he's thinking
logically with part, of it but not logically with the.
Other Half so i'm. NOT sure i. DON'T know, i
wondered was the insanity plea a way that helped you
(01:12:11):
get a shorter sentence because he's out now twelve years.
Speaker 3 (01:12:13):
Later or twelve years.
Speaker 2 (01:12:15):
IS astounding, I know i keep jumping on, this bandwagon but,
you know something we do talk about pretty much, every day,
including today is just the level of sentencing. Her, crimes
right this seems like this guy did not do enough
time for the. CRIMES committed, i mean that's why a those,
loved ones it's.
Speaker 6 (01:12:33):
Also sacred, this attorney they did this investigation on why
because he took in like around a thousand bodies but
just didn't cremate this three hundred and john one hundred
and forty, What so but he was doing some, of
them so they were trying to figure out why his
behavior was, so erratic, like why so they. Investigated, necrophilia wow,
(01:12:59):
you know those all these different theories of why he was,
doing this and they came up with this mercury thing
because there was evidence that his father died from this
and that he was suffering from some kind of, mental
issues so that might have been taken into. Accountant. Sentencing,
yeah wow that's that is a.
Speaker 4 (01:13:17):
Real thing did any of you listen to the podcast?
S town. I, Didn't okay.
Speaker 3 (01:13:24):
Adam is not his head.
Speaker 2 (01:13:25):
Like podcasts i'd never listened. To THEM IT'S i i.
Speaker 3 (01:13:30):
This is an.
Speaker 4 (01:13:32):
Unbelievable party everybody does say it's, the Best and mercury
won't say much more about mercury poisoning plays into it in. A,
way tyler not to, be gruesome but you know you
did open the door and MAN to.
Speaker 3 (01:13:47):
I mean TALK about i think, You're, Safe courtney you're.
Safe company tyler is going to? Be fine, Was? There
tyler was there a smell with all of? These, bodies
okay so not.
Speaker 7 (01:14:01):
Like directly, near me but that is what like when
the when the word hit and like, you know Small
town alabama folk got to talking. About. It uh it
was that WAS what i believe led people to the
discovery was. The stinch FROM what i was told AND
what i heard from, the grapevine was that they found
bodies stacked in greenhouses and there were just several greenhouses on,
(01:14:26):
the land and there were freezers and they were like
refrigerators and they were just kind of compiled and stuffed
and then over time as, they decomposed stuff even, further
down you KNOW what. I mean and so it created
a smell, that yes the neighbors and like like local
officials noticed and so they went out there to investigate
based on. The smell. Wow plants.
Speaker 10 (01:14:50):
Wow, wow yeah. That's crazy that haught me for the
rest of. My, life yeah That is.
Speaker 3 (01:14:59):
By, The way alabama's a a.
Speaker 2 (01:15:00):
Wonderful place so let this not be a stain on
this beautiful place that you.
Speaker 3 (01:15:03):
Come from, but boy it is. So beautiful so minus
all the body, pile up but that is pretty.
Speaker 2 (01:15:11):
Intense body parts in pockets and back seats.
Speaker 6 (01:15:14):
AND goodness i guess this is kind of common for
crematoriums to have this. Mercury problem, I'm listen i'm kind
of obsessed now with this mercury because there were other
INSTANCES where i guess, CREMATORIUM managers i, don't know we're having.
Mercury issues it was like a.
Speaker 3 (01:15:36):
REAL issue, I mean i'm spacing on what it is
too funny that you bring.
Speaker 2 (01:15:41):
THAT up i did an, interview Recently and i'm spacing
on The actual it wasn't iron but there's there is
some mapping to suggest that where serial killers are, most
dominant there's a certain level.
Speaker 3 (01:15:53):
Of toxicity it's. Not, iron oh. It's lead. IT'S lead
I have i reads very recent.
Speaker 10 (01:16:00):
That's.
Speaker 2 (01:16:00):
Right yeah and Then the pacific northwest specific northwest. Right,
On actually, I'll well i'll reach out because she she
wrote in an extraordinary book. About it there does seem to be,
some real some real tracking that.
Speaker 3 (01:16:14):
Would, suggest yeah that that because there were a lot
of a very specific. Line, too yeah.
Speaker 6 (01:16:21):
Right in the, seventies eighties. RIGHT correct i think they
called that Like The golden area of serial killers.
Speaker 3 (01:16:27):
Or something.
Speaker 6 (01:16:27):
That's right that's not, my words by, the way do
not get mad.
Speaker 4 (01:16:30):
At, me Yeah The new york Or The New, york
times like several there have been large.
Speaker 3 (01:16:36):
Article has investigations. Into it it's oh.
Speaker 6 (01:16:39):
My god so people that did you know anybody that
was affected, by, This tyler i'm sure. You did you
probably might not even.
Speaker 7 (01:16:45):
Realize it it's more like, older families like like someone
who knows one who. Knows someone but it was just
the fact that it was, So close like it's very
obvious that it affected so many people in just even my,
small town just for the base on the soul fact
that there was not a crematorium any with any close radius,
(01:17:07):
of it so they were really left with. No choice it.
Was monopolized keep.
Speaker 6 (01:17:11):
It here we're going to do our true crime and.

body do you want to fill us in it as? The,
setup yeah.
Speaker 3 (01:18:10):
Let's do the setup so.
Speaker 7 (01:18:11):
Really.
Speaker 6 (01:18:12):
QUICK though i want to give a shout Out to
TYLER because i kind of. Wanted it he was so
nice and. So fun please go follow Him. On Instagram
It's tyler stone did that all one word and, you
know huge. Shout Out ROLLING stone uk mentioned him and
put him in an article as an artist, to watch
so congratulations. For that.
Speaker 3 (01:18:33):
He was so.
Speaker 6 (01:18:34):
Amazing musician he was, so fun he had fun with
us in the break we were all dancing and just
a really. NICE guy, I really i really. Enjoyed that
but let's get back to a. Perfect neighbor so the
idea behind the. Imperfect neighbor It's a netflix documentary and
It's About. SUSAN larenz i can't her name is. Just
horrible she's a white Woman, In, o'calla florida who shot
(01:18:57):
and killed, HER NEIGHBOR.
Speaker 7 (01:18:58):
A J.
Speaker 6 (01:18:59):
Chantrell owens she was a black mother of Four on,
june second twenty. Twenty three and, the film the entire
documentary is police bodycam footage from start, to end, in
FACT and i didn't know THAT when i started, watching
IT so i kept waiting for somebody to come on
that was sitting in a chair that was like gonna
tell us what was, going on and it. Never happened,
(01:19:21):
it's literally from start, to end it's all bodycam footage
and it's so well. Put together you don't need, a,
Narrator right you don't need a narrator to follow what's.
Going on so this police bodycam footage shows like Interactions
with Susan and AJ's neighbors and all these kids and
(01:19:41):
all the law enforcement in this. Lead, up Okay and
i'm not gonna stay with the lead up. As yet
we're gonna talk about it together and investigation as well as.
Questioning afterward so let's go to. A, talkback, Hi ladies Sarah.
Speaker 16 (01:19:56):
FROM michigan i am ten minutes Away, from finnish the,
perfect NEIGHBOR and i just had to say that the
detectives in the little detective room with her when she
was refusing to go to, the.
Speaker 3 (01:20:09):
Jail they are.
Speaker 16 (01:20:10):
So patient they were, so patient way more PATIENT than
i would.
Speaker 3 (01:20:16):
HAVE been i wanted to punch her in. The throat
as our last talk from the bron From. The, bronx
Yeah like i've said that in my head like a.
Speaker 6 (01:20:24):
Hundred times, imagine though for, One moment i'm gonna get
out of my soapbox a little BIT because i was
really actually pissed off. About, this, yes, okay yeah it
was funny but also. Angered me imagine if roles were
reversed and that was a black woman. Sitting, there yeah
do you think that those cops would have been as patient?
Speaker 3 (01:20:43):
AT all i agree, with YOU although i, will say in,
my opinion.
Speaker 6 (01:20:50):
The cops in that were featured in this documentary that
coming on all these calls were.
Speaker 3 (01:20:56):
SO good i thought they were.
Speaker 10 (01:20:58):
Excellent across, the board, the neighbors.
Speaker 6 (01:21:01):
To everyone they did a great job of de escalating
things and playing with the kids, and like, you know.
MAKING sure i really got the impression that the kids
were not afraid, of COPS and i think. That's important,
you know that's an. Important thing so shout out to those.
PATROL officers, I mean i think they did a. Fabulous
job if you're just, tuning in we're talking about the.
(01:21:24):
Perfect neighbor and in this, you know this this Documentary
For true Crime And, chill tonight it's all. Bodycam footage
and what happens is this woman. Is insane she's Like
a karen, on, Steroids right she's just. The worst she's.
The pits and these you, know kids the neighborhood kids are.
Outside playing they're not inside playing. Video games they're outside riding,
(01:21:45):
their bikes they're, playing football and there's like this vacant
lot next to her, her condo and it's not owned.
By her it's actually owned by the guy that lives
next to the, vacant lot and he's given the kids
permission to play in. The, slot well every time the kids,
are playing she calls the cops because they're harassing her
(01:22:05):
or they're being.
Speaker 3 (01:22:05):
Too loud and she's.
Speaker 6 (01:22:07):
A racist she's, a racist a one. Hundred percent and
it ends, up that, you, know uh. The kids at,
the end the mom goes over because the kids, are
like she took, my tablet she threw roller skates, at
us and so one of the moms goes over there to,
confront her And this karen neighbor shoots.
Speaker 3 (01:22:29):
Her dead but she.
Speaker 10 (01:22:31):
Says through, the door like, leave that don't leave that,
Part out like the, door.
Speaker 3 (01:22:37):
Bolted that is.
Speaker 6 (01:22:40):
So important so she she calls the cops and she
says they're banging on my door or something to, that
effect and the cops, are, Like, okay karen.
Speaker 3 (01:22:48):
We'll be there in.
Speaker 6 (01:22:48):
A minute and she ends up shooting through her bolted
locked door just randomly willy nilly at whoever is standing
there and hit this mom, who dies and so it
comes to. Those, injuries yeah leaving these kids without.
Speaker 3 (01:23:04):
A mother they, arrest her and it took a while to.
Speaker 10 (01:23:09):
Arrest, her yeah she's walking.
Speaker 3 (01:23:11):
The streets she's like walking.
Speaker 7 (01:23:12):
The streets for a.
Speaker 6 (01:23:13):
Hot minute they finally arrest her and, they're like do
you think that you want to write an apology letter to?
Your victims and she's, like Maybe and i'm. Like what
then then, they're, like okay go ahead and. Stand up
we're going to cuff you and take you. To jail and, she's,
Like no i'm not. Doing that i'm not going for
(01:23:33):
how long, you guys like five?
Speaker 10 (01:23:35):
Ten minutes it felt. Like forever and they were so patient.
With her every time she's, saying no they.
Speaker 3 (01:23:39):
Were very patient. With her, SHE'S like i can't. Do
it I'M not i.
Speaker 6 (01:23:43):
CAN'T go i can't go.
Speaker 3 (01:23:44):
To jail.
Speaker 10 (01:23:44):
I'm not this is.
Speaker 6 (01:23:45):
Not option by, the way that would. BE me i would, be,
Like no i'm. Not going it's.
Speaker 10 (01:23:49):
Not happening i'm.
Speaker 3 (01:23:50):
NOT going, i guys. Watch this you all watch THIS before,
i DID and i should have heeded.
Speaker 4 (01:23:56):
YOUR warning i don't recall who, said it but it was, SOMETHING,
like i, you know wanted to THROW my tv out.
Speaker 3 (01:24:03):
The, window, hey yeah it's the opposite of true crime,
and chills.
Speaker 4 (01:24:07):
True, RAGE yes i was, fists clenched and particularly like You,
mentioned daha for how long she was walking, and coming,
you know being escorted back to her home TO get i,
don't know a pair of shoes or just and and
(01:24:27):
everyone in this neighborhood has to see her being.
Speaker 3 (01:24:31):
Informed alive unlike the mother that she shot. And killed
it was a really. Hard watch it's a really.
Speaker 10 (01:24:40):
Hard, Watch yeah and the emotions, for me like the
rage was one, of IT because i was so annoyed
with the, you know of course, with her but it was.
So hard that was the ONLY problem. I had it
was it felt a little invasively watching the, bodycam footage
like when we saw the little boy find out his
mother died. ON camera i.
Speaker 3 (01:25:00):
Hate that that was so hard.
Speaker 10 (01:25:02):
For me that was the PART where i had. TO
stop i, was, LIKE yeah i can't watch this part for.
Speaker 3 (01:25:07):
A second it was it was actually traumatic to. SEE
it i thought. So too, actually YEAH.
Speaker 10 (01:25:12):
And i haven't shared this, a lot but but, for
ME because i lost my mom at an, early age
it was like it was sort. Of Triggering so, i'm,
like Oh, MY god i cannot watch.
Speaker 3 (01:25:18):
This PART so i had to stop and pause.
Speaker 10 (01:25:20):
And Reset but, i'm like this is. Our assignment we
got to watch. The show SO but i continued through
and then it turned into, the ANGER so i went
through the flory of emotions. With it but it was,
YOU know i, don't know there's a part of me
that felt it was just a Little too you're seeing
a little too much of that. Personal SIDE but, i
Think if i'm, not mistaken the family is someone involved with,
(01:25:42):
the documentary so, THAT'S correctly i.
Speaker 2 (01:25:44):
Think so, and look you're kind of bumping on the
fact that there were, miners too, you know so that
always feels like we shouldn't be seeing.
Speaker 3 (01:25:50):
This first by, the way how proud would your mom be?
Of you you're just. The best so we were sending
love to your mom, because yeah like it.
Speaker 2 (01:26:03):
Was infuriating, but listen important, standard, ground right this is
an important thing to discuss and.
Speaker 3 (01:26:08):
Its value and it's, you know lack of value in.
Speaker 6 (01:26:12):
Other ways maybe we should talk about stand your ground
just a little Bit. In florida so just a very
very Quick overview florida standard ground Law in florida allows
a person to use deadly force if they reasonably believe
it's necessary to prevent, imminent death great, bodily harm or
the commission of a forcible felony like a burglary or
(01:26:34):
a robbery or. A rape unlike traditional self, defense laws
there is no legal duty, to retreat even if the
person could safely. Do so so, This, woman susan the
murderer in, this case was claiming. Stanyr ground, now again
it's so important To. Remember taha like, you said she
(01:26:55):
was behind a bolted and, locked doors, door closed.
Speaker 3 (01:26:58):
None of the windows were broken, in nothing, you know
like she was trying to bring, it big bang.
Speaker 2 (01:27:05):
It DOWN either i was, threatening anybody what you going
to shoot anybody that comes to Your stupid it could have.
Speaker 10 (01:27:10):
Been the children and, the, mailman anybody but.
Speaker 6 (01:27:14):
Go. Ahead, yeah well and even in the nine one,
one call when she calls before, she shoots you can't,
Hear ANYTHING like i went back and listened again to
see and LIKE maybe i could hear like banging on,
the DOOR and.
Speaker 10 (01:27:27):
I didn't you don't. Hear anything and the timeline didn't
match up, Well too and they started investigating about the
time frame when she heard the sound to the call
so across. The board she's was lying, About EVERYTHING but
i just wanted to say one thing with the standard Ground,
in florida like one stat that stood out. To me
we started researching a. Little bit Florida's monthly their monthly
(01:27:47):
homicide rate has increased nearly twenty five percent after this
law has. Taken, effect so, You know i'm not SURE
how i understand the logic something in some ways about
the stand, Your ground but when you see statistics, like
that it's and you see a documentary along, these lines
it just makes, you think this.
Speaker 3 (01:28:05):
Is systems not working on. Either side this is.
Speaker 2 (01:28:10):
Not working and also even just this woman forever calling
the police, officers who to, everyone's point were. Very patient
all that to, be said what a waste of law.
Enforcement's time this annoying neighbor is forever calling the police
for absolutely. No reason even that would get old and
as a, red flag like she should be charged with.
That too it just being a nuisance to, law enforcement
(01:28:33):
having cops come out every five seconds for a crime that,
wasn't committed and then on top, of that letting her.
Linger around some of this, was avoidable and it's just
devastating for. Those, kids yeah this was true crime.
Speaker 6 (01:28:46):
And, rage YEAH no onc was in seven this Is.
In florida in seven out of ten CASES where sandr ground,
was invoked, were like the person that shot said it
was standard ground and killed was An armed.
Speaker 3 (01:29:01):
So seven ten. On armed.
Speaker 2 (01:29:05):
That's CRAZY and i wonder what the stats are in
terms of people of color and where.
Speaker 10 (01:29:09):
This, IS well i can tell you that in cases
where the first, of all in cases where a white
shooter killed a, black victim the homicide was deemed justifiable
eleven times more than when the roles. Were reversed and
also one other piece, they said we've looked up that
they've indicated that the law may have contributed to nearly
(01:29:30):
twenty three percent increase in firearm homicides among black Residents.
Of florida so it's, you, know.
Speaker 2 (01:29:38):
Yeah it's like it has potential to be shaded slightly in.
Speaker 3 (01:29:43):
JUSTIFIABLE murder i. DON'T know i don't know enough about.
Speaker 2 (01:29:48):
STANDARD ground i see, the POINT but i, also this
this documentary made me question a lot.
Speaker 10 (01:29:52):
Of, things well it definitely resonated with a lot. Of
people we got a lot of responses. To, it courtney
you go go ahead and say what you're going. To
SAY but i was going to say people have called in.
ABOUT it i just.
Speaker 4 (01:30:01):
Wanted to say one thing regarding, the FAMILY and i
ACTUALLY and i just wanted to double check myself to
make sure. It's correct but they absolutely whoever said the family.
Was Involved and, AJ's mom she mentioned in an interview
that she drew Strength From emmett. Till's mother if you
(01:30:24):
Guys Remember, emmett till fourteen year. Old boy he, was, beaten,
shot discarded and she demanded an. Open casket so it
was their choice for us to.
Speaker 3 (01:30:35):
Feel like the, physical pain. The, chill YEAH so i did.
As WELL so i just want to it's THE modern
i wanted to, say that.
Speaker 6 (01:30:44):
That's Right Presenting emmett till in an open casket was very.
Very purposeful this is the modern day version.
Speaker 3 (01:30:50):
Of that that's. That's right so, see this feel this
and that, For me oh.
Speaker 9 (01:30:56):
My, GOD.
Speaker 4 (01:30:58):
Yeah i mean the, you're Saying and i'm very sorry
for what you're saying about seeing, the pain but, you
know the point was see and to see these children.
Speaker 3 (01:31:09):
Doing only what everyone would have, been child.
Speaker 4 (01:31:12):
That their children would go outside and begging for what
this mind is. Doing, Begging yeah so anyway that we
all feel, so uh, you know impacted was. The INTENTION
so i just Say that, i'm well. VERY sick, i,
DID yeah. I did stick.
Speaker 2 (01:31:32):
With me it's very well, DONE too i might add
sore in body, Cam footage, man's boy is that the
answer to a lot of things seeing it with your own.
Two eyes and by, the way for law enforcement, as
well they just want to have a complete visibility so
they're not getting accused of things or, you know show
you how harroweing this.
Speaker 6 (01:31:50):
CAN be i thought law enforcement in, THIS documentary i
thought They were they were so kind to the kids
and it's not ever seem afraid. OF them i honestly
the repersentation except for, THE end i was, Very upset
but prior, to that the representation from law enforcement in
THIS situation i thought was very.
Speaker 3 (01:32:06):
WELL done. I, agree yeah the.
Speaker 10 (01:32:11):
Neighbors and they when that annoying woman when she came
back to, the neighborhood they were trying to keep, everyone
calm but IT.
Speaker 3 (01:32:17):
Was, i mean the kids were.
Speaker 6 (01:32:19):
The kids they the kids would run up, to, them hey,
you know like they they were even joking with the.
Speaker 3 (01:32:25):
Kids the police like did you take?
Speaker 10 (01:32:27):
That car and she, Was like i'm.
Speaker 3 (01:32:28):
ONLY eleven, i just, you know that was.
Speaker 6 (01:32:30):
SO cute, i mean they it was good that it
was good, to see, you know kids in particular kids,
of color not be afraid.
Speaker 3 (01:32:38):
OF police i thought that was. REALLY good i really.
Speaker 10 (01:32:40):
DID well i promise Our Next true Crime and chill
is going to be something, you know maybe.
Speaker 3 (01:32:46):
NOT if i have anything to say.
Speaker 6 (01:32:50):
About it it's going to be heavy and Dark, And dad,
I'm kidding, I'm kidding i'm.
Speaker 3 (01:32:55):
Getting well this again is really Flown. By, hey listen

dark information that. We're doing so make sure you join us.
