Speaker 1 (00:00):
Hello, gorgeous. It's Lala Kent. Welcome to Untraditionally Lala. Hello,
my love, it is Laala Kent. Welcome to the bonus
episode of Untraditionally Lala. I am still here with a
fan favorite of all the housewives in the world, Angik Welcome.

Speaker 2 (00:15):
I love Hey, thank you? What an infro? Thank you?

Speaker 1 (00:19):
I love a good intro for a fabulous chick. So
I'm just going to ask you some like rapid fire questions,
nothing that's going to throw you off guard. My first
one is who is the soup man?

Speaker 3 (00:32):
I wish I knew, and if you find out, please
tell me.

Speaker 2 (00:36):
Hopefully Lisa will tell me. I'm dying to know.

Speaker 1 (00:39):
I want to know too, And I immediately went to
Seinfeld as well, because I'm a huge Seinfeld fan. So
when Meredith popped up in her confessional, She's like, isn't
that Seinfeld? I was like, all right, same page. I
love it. Did you sell your house?

Speaker 2 (00:53):
Not yet?

Speaker 1 (00:55):
Are we in a rush to sell it? No?

Speaker 2 (00:58):
And that's why I mean it. It's kind of we
told our daughter we do this for its property.

Speaker 3 (01:03):
If this worked out, if we just put the house
for what we wanted for and wanted to selt for
and got it. But also it's kind of a crazy
market for the price range our houses in. You know,
I think it may not be a seller friendly, so
it may take a little longer. And if it happens,
it happens. If it doesn't, we love our house.

Speaker 1 (01:21):
I love that the universe will place you exactly where
you're supposed to be.

Speaker 3 (01:25):
I won't be having Brittany do it anytime soon, but
thanks for her advice.

Speaker 1 (01:28):
I can't imagine why this is my own question, what
lip gloss do you wear? Because it's fabulous and your
lips look so soft and like glass every I love this.

Speaker 3 (01:38):
This is Watermelon by Lawless and my makeup art is
turned me onto it and I love it. It's it's
the best.

Speaker 1 (01:46):
Okay you have? You have to take a picture and
send me a link on web bram.

Speaker 3 (01:50):
I also love cotton candy. Bye Onnastasia.

Speaker 1 (01:53):
Okay, please send me all like your makeup is always
so freaking good and I can't evenderstand it.

Speaker 2 (01:58):
It's a good close up is a good thing.

Speaker 1 (02:01):
It's always good. Is there a reason we don't see
much of Sean this season?

Speaker 3 (02:06):
You know? I think he's coming more into the picture
in the next episode. A lot of you know what
I was going through this season, you know, getting my
citizenship and my daughter's reaction to that, which I wasn't expecting.
That brought Electra more into my storyline and my dad
obviously more into my storyline because I'm working on getting

(02:27):
my citizenship in Greece, So it really has been a
lot more about my dad an Electra. But I think
Sean is coming either tonight or maybe in the next week.

Speaker 1 (02:36):
By the way, though, I your dad is like one
of my most favorite cast members.

Speaker 2 (02:41):
Oh my gosh, thank you for saying that.

Speaker 3 (02:43):
It's so special that I get to film with him,
that I get to share him with the world. And
he's just he loves it and he's a sweetheart. It's
been neat to pull this information out of him, and
a lot of people have just really related to, you know,
what he went through, and they have similar stories.

Speaker 1 (03:00):
So yeah, it's a it's a wonderful story. And he
has he has the sweetest eyes.

Speaker 2 (03:06):
Oh doesn'ty though, thank you? I'm gonna tell me you
said that, please do.

Speaker 1 (03:10):
I Like, I love every scene that you guys have together.

Speaker 2 (03:13):
Thank you.

Speaker 3 (03:14):
That's that's where I'm the most comfortable, you know, with
my family.

Speaker 1 (03:17):
So yeah, I'm so happy we get to see it.
How do you balance filming and being a mom? That's
got to be tough, because I'm struggling with it right now.

Speaker 3 (03:24):
You know, when I got on wive Swap, I was
at just wrapped Salt Lake and I started wive Swap
and I was just at like burning the candle both
ends by that point, and I was just so emotional.
I was feeling like, I, you know, I needed to
be an octopus.

Speaker 2 (03:40):
And have eight hands.

Speaker 3 (03:41):
Yeah, it was a lot. And I like to eat
at home. I like to cook food at home. I
love to be home. I do my own laundry. Uh
you know, I want to show up to everything for Electra.
So it is a lot of pressure and I have
to do things like I have to pre plan everything.
I have to say it late and get the laundry done.
I mean, it just takes a lot more organization. Like

(04:02):
right now, I have a lot going on today and
I thought, okay, I got a pre do Electro's meal
before she gets home from school so it's ready because
by that time I've got to be on another call.
So it just takes a lot of thought and organization
and yeah, a lot of energy.

Speaker 2 (04:17):
Really.

Speaker 3 (04:17):
I just I'm never sitting. I'm always going, yeah, because
I don't want to miss a moment.

Speaker 2 (04:23):
You know.

Speaker 1 (04:23):
I don't blame you. It's all so fleeting and I'm
struggling with the mom guilt right now and it's like
crushing my soul. So I think you're killing it and
I think you need to hear that today.

Speaker 2 (04:34):
Well, thanks for saying that, you know.

Speaker 3 (04:35):
And I try and be present when I'm with her
as much as I can, and try not to like
talk about the show in front of her or be
you know, I just don't want to make it a
thing so she doesn't feel like it's taken our life
over right, and that takes I have to stay conscious
to do that, you know.

Speaker 1 (04:50):
I love that, Angie. That's very sweet.

Speaker 2 (04:52):
Thank you.

Speaker 1 (04:54):
What is your hair wash routine? You have amazing hair.
I'm like you, I wish, I wish postpartum has kicked
my ass.

Speaker 3 (05:03):
Oh yeah, it's rough, isn't it. Well you're sweet to
say that. I have a few extensions in right now.

Speaker 1 (05:07):
But even up here, it's like it's just so like
softy cute. How many times a week.

Speaker 2 (05:12):
Do you wash it? I do it every other day.
My hair is so oily.

Speaker 3 (05:15):
It's just like the little it's the olive oil in me,
I guess, but my hair.

Speaker 2 (05:19):
I wash it every other day.

Speaker 3 (05:21):
If I don't blow it out, which I'm good at
because I'm a hairdresser, I get it done at lunatic
fringe and I use keristos only. I do a treatment
like every other day. I'm sorry, every other week, excuse me.
And I wash it every other day right now. I'm
big on there, like Absolute gloss Line because it's it's
got the oils that it gives a lot of shine.
But I've been using their products for twenty seven or

(05:44):
twenty eight years, and I'm just like, it's having the
right products, but also being a hairdresser and knowing how
to blow your hair out to get that shine I will,
and keeping it healthy. You know, I really try not
to do a lot to it when I'm not filming.

Speaker 1 (06:08):
I hope you know. I'm gonna harass you after this
to send me the makeup, to send me what to
do with the hair.

Speaker 2 (06:14):
I'll send you the products too.

Speaker 1 (06:16):
Yeah, And when I'm in Utah, I'm coming into lunatic fringe.

Speaker 2 (06:19):
Thank you. Yes, we're gonna get you a blowout. We're
going to teach you.

Speaker 3 (06:21):
How to style your hair as if you were a
hair addresser. I mean really truly being able to do
a good blow dry so your hair looks pretty. It's
not easy to get a glass like look. Yes, no,
I can't do that.

Speaker 1 (06:34):
Do you ever do your own makeup or do you
usually have someone touch your face for glad?

Speaker 2 (06:38):
You know what?

Speaker 3 (06:39):
When I'm filming, I like to do my own makeup.
I'm sorry to have Alexis, who I love, do my makeup.
When I'm not filming, I try not to wear makeup.
I just want to let my skin breathe totally. I
run around without makeup all the time. And I used
to love to do my makeup. Now I've gotten used
to having her doing it looks so good.

Speaker 2 (06:57):
I'm just soil good.

Speaker 3 (06:58):
So for a special occasion I get it done, or
for filming, I get it done, or I just don't
wear it, which is rare. And like tonight on Wife Swap,
I just went bare face. I was like, okay, I
just want to have good skin and like, yeah, good
with it, look good without it?

Speaker 2 (07:12):
Right?

Speaker 1 (07:12):
Well, and makeup is so drying. I remember to Beyonce's mom,
Tina Noles. She said, if I have a full day
and I know that I'm going to have to have
makeup on the entire day, from the morning until the night,
she said, I will find time to wash my face
in between and reapply because it is so drying that
I feel like I need to remoisturize and then reapply.

Speaker 2 (07:33):
Yeah. I mean it's a chemical on your skin.

Speaker 3 (07:36):
Yeah, and when you film me wear a lot of it,
so it takes so many washes to even get off.

Speaker 2 (07:41):
It really beats your skin up.

Speaker 1 (07:43):
I know it's I as you can tell, I like
makeup for you beautiful without it. You're so there's gonna
be a day where I'm going to have to cake
it on twenty four to seven.

Speaker 2 (07:53):
Never, I don't believe I'll live to see the day.

Speaker 1 (07:56):
You're I mean, you're lucky, You've got that, You've got
that Greek and what I think you if you could
be besties with another housewife from another franchise, who would
it be?

Speaker 2 (08:07):
Oh my gosh, Oh no, let me think, oh my gosh.

Speaker 3 (08:13):
Uh uh. You know I always say I love Teresa
because I watched that was one of the early days
of housewives, and her mom and dad, and especially her dad.

Speaker 2 (08:26):
I just my heart would melt. So. I just felt
like I had a long common with.

Speaker 3 (08:29):
Her in the kitchen, she loved food, her relationship with
her parents, I just connected to that.

Speaker 1 (08:36):
I see that. I think you guys would be a
match meet in heaven. Yeah, I want to throw shade
if you feel uncomfortable, totally let me know what. Bravo.
Leberty has high body count hair.

Speaker 2 (08:46):
You can't say me never. I would never say you. Ooh,
that's a tough one.

Speaker 3 (08:52):
I'm a little scared sometimes and I've rated some confessional looks.
So this one came up. And she's darling and fun, funny.
Let me start with that, Okay, And it was.

Speaker 2 (09:02):
It was cute Gina and OLC.

Speaker 3 (09:04):
But there was a few times where I felt like her,
she's so cute and fun.

Speaker 2 (09:09):
I felt like her hair dated her a little bit.

Speaker 3 (09:13):
I'd love to way get her in lunatic fringe and
and come out of retirement and just blow her hair
out to really sleek, beautiful hair. But she's you know,
she does have some great hair days too. There was
just a few confessional looks where I was like, ooh,
like she got here and this this just ages are
a little bit yet needed to be.

Speaker 1 (09:30):
You know what, though, if you're going to say that
about anybody, it should be her, because she's got that
East Coast grit where she doesn't take offense to anything,
like she would laugh at what you just said.

Speaker 2 (09:39):
Okay, good, so she'll still hug me when I meet her.

Speaker 1 (09:41):
One hundred percent. She's so freaking cool. What celebrity would
love to come into your salon and do their hair?
Has anyone reached out to you to say like, please
have me come in?

Speaker 3 (09:50):
Oh well, Suki Waterhouse just came in and got her
hair done at the salon and that was so fun.

Speaker 2 (09:55):
And what I yeah, yeah.

Speaker 3 (09:57):
And when I walked in, she said, Angie, I'm like
Suki and yes, I was so excited to see her.
And she said, within three seconds, could we make a TikTok?

Speaker 2 (10:11):
And I said, well, I'm.

Speaker 3 (10:12):
Not very good at TikTok's and she said hold on,
and then she pulls up high body count hair and
I said, okay, I can do this.

Speaker 1 (10:19):
Oh God, I can do yes, I'm looking this up
the moment. I'm not huge I'm not big on TikTok
because I'm technologically challenged, but I'm going to send up
please do that's amazing.

Speaker 3 (10:31):
I know she was darling. She gave Electure and Night
tickets to her show that night. She gave me a
shout out on stage and and was she dedicated a.

Speaker 2 (10:40):
Song to me. It was amazing.

Speaker 1 (10:42):
That is so cool.

Speaker 3 (10:44):
She sent merch out for Electure and yeah, she was adorable.
Absolutely loved her. Her hair looked amazing. To see her
on stage and know that she came into Lunatic Fringe
that was also amazing. Yes, and then my next one,
I want to get Chloe Kardashian in. She's done so
to me and she responded to me in her on
Instagram and her comments, and I just love her because,

(11:07):
you know, she's just been through a lot with you know,
just like being a housewife, just being on reality TV totally.
She extends kindness through acknowledging other people and she just
seems like a very sweet, special person. And I want
to meet her and I'd love to get her in
the salon. I would come out of retirement for her.

Speaker 1 (11:25):
Okay, So once you do her hair, send her my
way to get her on the podcast because I feel
the exact same work makes the dream work. Yes, Salt
Lake City can get it done. Last question, would you
ever do Traders or Special Forces? Special Forces looks like
the hardest thing I've ever seen in my life.

Speaker 3 (11:42):
Look, I'm married to a guy that would take me
to the gym and put me through.

Speaker 2 (11:46):
That routine, and it does look hard, and I thought.

Speaker 3 (11:50):
Well, I could probably do this. I would do both
of them.

Speaker 2 (11:53):
I think.

Speaker 3 (11:54):
I mean that one's hard physically, but Traders looks really fun.

Speaker 2 (11:59):
Like I would love to do one of them. Yeah,
I'd love to.

Speaker 1 (12:02):
Yeah, Traders does.

Speaker 2 (12:03):
Like I said.

Speaker 3 (12:03):
Earlier, I look at all of these as like transformative moments,
learning opportunities, saying yes to anything that comes my way.

Speaker 2 (12:11):
So yes to both.

Speaker 1 (12:12):
I'm going to take I'm going to take that on.
I need to. I need to get in the mindset
of saying yes.

Speaker 2 (12:18):
Yes you do. Right. I know you're busy with a
little child that it gets harder.

Speaker 1 (12:21):
Right, I know, But you know what, I see women
doing it all the time. So I'm going to take
on your mindset. Well.

Speaker 3 (12:29):
Look, I said yes to every opportunity as a little hairdresser,
and so many cool things came my way, and that's
really how I grew and how we grew our business,
and so I just like it always serves us to say, yes.

Speaker 1 (12:41):
You're absolutely right. I had the best time, and I'm
so appreciating that you're I know you're so busy, So
thank you for making time for Untraditionally La La. You guys,
thank you for listening to another episode bonus episode of
Untraditionally Lalla, And I'm going to catch you guys on
Wednesday and again next week. Back love and

Speaker 3 (12:57):

Ruthie's Table 4

Ruthie's Table 4

For more than 30 years The River Cafe in London, has been the home-from-home of artists, architects, designers, actors, collectors, writers, activists, and politicians. Michael Caine, Glenn Close, JJ Abrams, Steve McQueen, Victoria and David Beckham, and Lily Allen, are just some of the people who love to call The River Cafe home. On River Cafe Table 4, Rogers sits down with her customers—who have become friends—to talk about food memories. Table 4 explores how food impacts every aspect of our lives. “Foods is politics, food is cultural, food is how you express love, food is about your heritage, it defines who you and who you want to be,” says Rogers. Each week, Rogers invites her guest to reminisce about family suppers and first dates, what they cook, how they eat when performing, the restaurants they choose, and what food they seek when they need comfort. And to punctuate each episode of Table 4, guests such as Ralph Fiennes, Emily Blunt, and Alfonso Cuarón, read their favourite recipe from one of the best-selling River Cafe cookbooks. Table 4 itself, is situated near The River Cafe’s open kitchen, close to the bright pink wood-fired oven and next to the glossy yellow pass, where Ruthie oversees the restaurant. You are invited to take a seat at this intimate table and join the conversation.
