Speaker 4 (01:09):
All Right, we got a lot to get to, not
a whole lot of time.

Speaker 5 (01:12):
We got cuffs the legend He'll be coming up in
a matter of twenty minutes or so, so that'll be
coming down the pipe talking about some basketball. What we
got going on here, teams is forcing Game sevens is
getting competitive. It's looking pretty good. We'll get to all
of that, and you know what, we'll close it out.
Probably we'll talk a little bit more of what took

(01:34):
place at Wahalla and well missus Louisville, Kentucky and see
what that's all about.

Speaker 4 (01:41):
But let's start off right now.

Speaker 5 (01:43):
Let's revisit the conversation of the schedule and the schedule
being released. We've talked about some of our winners and
some of our losers. Plex I'm curious as to looking
at We just talked about the Bears and what it
is that they could possibly have success wise moving forward.

Speaker 4 (02:08):
You know one team that interests me.

Speaker 5 (02:11):
And you talked about the North being being a strong,
a strong division, and I agree with that. When you
look at the North, who do you guys see, who
do you guys see being a real like the real
hit hit dog in that division. I'm saying this is

(02:32):
Baltimore's year. I mean, adding Henry to your backfield. You know,
the mature the maturation process and getting deeper on defense.
I just think that this this Ravens team, it's kind
of like turning into a Dallas situation, like at some
point it's now or never for them to go to
that next level of good with Lamar Jackson at the

(02:57):
quarterback position.

Speaker 6 (02:59):
I don't think it's right now. I don't think that
they the Baltimore Ravens have to, you know, get to
an AFC Championship championship game. I think I think it
would be nice and for them to ultimately reach a
Super Bowl. But I still believe that Lamar Jackson has time.
I still believe that he can be a better passer
in the pocket. I feel that he can be a

(03:20):
better decision maker, uh in certain situations and an understanding
you know when to be when to run and and
and when to stay in the pocket and to make
those throws and to become a more accurate pastor. I
think that's one of the main things that's really hindering
him from taking that next step of being a great
quarterback at his accuracy on and in certain situations where

(03:40):
putting the ball in a place where only your wide
receiver can get it. I think that's something that's the
main thing that he struggles with from the pocket is
just the accuracy of getting his uh the wire receivers
the football. Secondly, I think defensively, everybody knows how good
the Baltimore Ravens are defensively. But if I'm you know,
hardbar in this Ravens organization, I just don't understand, uh

(04:05):
you know why and how you can let Patrick Queen,
Patrick Queen walk out the door and go join your
rival up the street in Pittsburgh and now he's gonna
be playing middle linebacker for the Pittsburgh Steelers. I can't
remember the last time to where Baltimore or a Ravens
Ravens or a Steelers player swapped positions and went to
another team.

Speaker 1 (04:26):
That's rare.

Speaker 6 (04:27):
It doesn't happen because there's so much hatred in the rivalry.
Is that you don't want to be a part of
the Steelers or the Baltimore Ravens if you played for
one of those teams. So I believe that's gonna hurt
them be fencing with They're not going to be a
stout in the middle versus a run game.

Speaker 1 (04:43):
But I think for I don't believe.

Speaker 6 (04:45):
And this this officer line for the Baltimore Ravens.

Speaker 1 (04:50):
This is this is a rebuilt officer line.

Speaker 6 (04:53):
This is not the same office line that he had
last year with some of the departures. And I believe
the the tackle or guard I just retired unexpectedly. So
I think for Jim Harball right now is to really,
you know, hone in on Lamar Jackson. Continue to see
him make progress from the quarterback position, and can this

(05:15):
defense be good as they were last year without Patrick Queen.

Speaker 1 (05:21):
Well v are you know who I'm going with?

Speaker 4 (05:25):
Of course?

Speaker 1 (05:26):
And I just feel like number one, we said it earlier,
this division is going to be a blood bath in
these divisional games because although I'm picking the Bengals, if
you tell me the Ravens, I say, I can see that.
You tell me the Browns and Deshaun Watson is Desharn Watson.

(05:49):
I can see that. So those three teams, I don't believe.
The Steelers are always gonna be right there. They're always
gonna be good because Mike Tomlin is their head coach
and they always gonna play defense. I need to see
if Russell Wilson can get him, I guess over the hump,
and he hasn't shown he's able to do that in
the last few years of playing, and so I leave

(06:11):
them out of it, and I say it's a three
team race with with the Bengals coming out on top,
and it all is gonna boil down to can Joe
Burrow stay healthy? And that's the big question mark, because
when he's healthy, the Bengals are going to be right
there right at the end with the best of the
best in the National Football League. And so they're about that.

(06:34):
I'm positive, y'all both sure about that.

Speaker 4 (06:38):
Positively.

Speaker 6 (06:39):
I believe it's just absolutely the top five teams in
football if Joe Burrow stays healthy.

Speaker 5 (06:44):
See now, now there's the qualifier right there, But that's
really every team. That's a that's a that's a tremendously
pronounced if.

Speaker 1 (06:53):
What do you mean? But that's every team, any team.

Speaker 6 (06:58):
Every single weekend we can when we're talking about teams
and a projection of what we uh.

Speaker 1 (07:04):
You know, there's always an if. He's always based off
of health.

Speaker 5 (07:09):
I mean, look at y'all, like some cissies man standing
up business, right, Does that man go down hurt every year?

Speaker 4 (07:19):
Yes? Or no?

Speaker 1 (07:20):
Not every year? But he goes down hurt every year,
not every year.

Speaker 5 (07:24):
He comes back, and then you're wondering is he going
to stay healthy for long?

Speaker 4 (07:28):
And how long is he going to stay healthy? But
he knows if is a lot bigger than a lot
of other He.

Speaker 1 (07:33):
Knows that's the narrative. He knows that's a narrative. So
he he go. He's doing everything he can to put
himself in a position to be available, and if he's available,
he's a sissy.

Speaker 4 (07:45):
Wow are you? I just wanted to throw you off.

Speaker 1 (07:50):
Wow, that really threw me off.

Speaker 4 (07:53):
But hey, y'all, I'm not high on the Bengals.

Speaker 1 (07:57):
He gonna eat these words, y'all clip this because come
no Vember December.

Speaker 5 (08:00):
He I am not high on the Cincinnati Bengals to
be a dominant team that year.

Speaker 1 (08:06):
And I am. We we do know, we do know
with your predictions, they like two left feet they go.
So it's like a broke clock.

Speaker 4 (08:16):
You do.

Speaker 5 (08:17):
Y'all could try to gang up on me pause as
much as y'all like, But but I'm just telling you
right now, how how did that? How did how did
that prediction go for the Bengals this past season? How
did they do? How how did things paying out for them?
And you got your your defensive and your best defensive
player basically doesn't when he wants to get traded, they
don't want to pay him.

Speaker 1 (08:38):
Like, you know he's at the workouts, right, you know
he's at the workout.

Speaker 5 (08:40):
Got issue yet, but that's still you know, he's going
to work out. He's a blue collar guy. He isn't
one of them diva types.

Speaker 1 (08:46):
If you're gonna work out, you're gonna play.

Speaker 4 (08:48):
Man. He ain't gonna play because he wants his money.

Speaker 5 (08:50):
But of course he's not playing for them, he's playing
for him, and that's there's a difference.

Speaker 1 (08:55):
That's there's even more motivation, even more motivation.

Speaker 5 (08:58):
There's a difference when you're playing for you and you're
not playing for for we.

Speaker 6 (09:02):
I believe that also offensively for the Cincinnati Mingos, they
took a little bit of that physicality away from them
when they traded Joe Mixon to the Texans. I think
they're gonna miss Joe hit and Joe Mixon.

Speaker 4 (09:16):
Yeah, they lost the receiver too.

Speaker 5 (09:19):
If you're gonna miss you're going to miss having that
that extra that ext like you had three ones, you
had arguably three one.

Speaker 1 (09:27):
Nobody would say that why not.

Speaker 4 (09:29):
I just said it.

Speaker 1 (09:30):
I'm somebody somebody that nobody, why not? Nobody, no offense,
no offensive guy would say that.

Speaker 4 (09:39):
Tyler.

Speaker 5 (09:40):
Oh, I love Tyler. Boy could be a one on
somebody's roster. I love he wasn't the one on there,
but he could be a one on.

Speaker 1 (09:49):
Tyler Nobody in the National Football League. I'm not talking
at one person. He can be a one for the
Buffalo Bills. Okay, No, not not?

Speaker 4 (09:59):
Why not? Why not LeVar?

Speaker 1 (10:03):
Who's gonna be want Nobody the number one receiver, honestly,
is gonna be Kean Coman or or let's be honest,
it's gonna be Kinkaid the tight end him or Dawston Knox.
They're gonna play through the tight end. Well, we can't.

Speaker 5 (10:19):
I think Boy and Higgins could be number one on
anybody's team.

Speaker 1 (10:23):
Higgins, yeah, Higgins, Yeah, I love Tyler. Say that. Man,
if you're a GM and you signed him to be
your one, you getting fired? Okay, then the Buffalo's in trouble.
Buffalo's in trouble. Yeah, Buffalo made the playoffs this year.

Speaker 4 (10:40):
Buffalo's in trouble.

Speaker 5 (10:41):
And listen, I love kJ Handler, that's my guy, obviously,
But if you're telling me that that that Tyler Boyd
couldn't be number one since you put put the Buffalo
bills out there, You're telling me boy couldn't be number
one receiver on this this current receiving course.

Speaker 1 (10:55):
I said that he could. I would have one that made
a statement.

Speaker 5 (10:58):
Well, then you made me correct because I said, I
said you in theory, you had three guys that could
be number ones. One questionable, okay, but the other two
one I take that. I mean, if that's what we've
all settle on, I'll compromise.

Speaker 4 (11:12):
Probably the problem with with.

Speaker 5 (11:14):
What I'm looking at right now is that you don't
have the same dynamic playing out in Cincinnati that you've
had in the years that you've seen them have success.
There have been changes, and I don't know if the
window has has gotten really really close to shutting on
what the Cincinnati Bengals, what what they can possibly achieve.

Speaker 4 (11:37):
I'm skeptical.

Speaker 5 (11:39):
I feel like there's some skepticism surrounding the Cincinnati Bengals.

Speaker 1 (11:44):
Team, and it's going to be all about I can
as long as you got Joe burrow Man, they can
get better. Offensive defense may can get better, and in
the offensive line. This may be the best off offensive
line that they've ever had since Joe Burrow's been a quarterback.

(12:04):
It ain't no. Probably this is by far the best
offensive line that he's had. When you got Orlando Brown
at left tackle, Trip Brown and right tackle, your first
round pick who many thought could have been drafted a
tab bit higher. He didn't play a ton of games,
but he has the talent. He may not even start
at tackle, and so this offensive guy goes down. You

(12:30):
put the first rounder in there, good to go, Like,
this is the best line he's had. And the explosiveness
on the outside now with the receivers, with them drafting
Jermaine Burton, the explosiveness, Yeah, they lose mixing, but now
the explosiveness that they'll have with Chase Brown back there
he getting over field, he gonna touchdown. So they've added

(12:50):
more speed. They're better up front. Man, this team gonna
be good.

Speaker 4 (12:54):
Bro.

Speaker 5 (12:56):
Well, we'll have to wait and see how that all
plays out. I mean they're tied or sixteenth for for
most difficult record. That's like puts them Yeah, it's not.
That's not horrible. I wouldn't say that that's that's a
horrible draw. I'm just not that high on your your bangles.
So we're just yeah, clip it off, you know. Pause,

(13:17):
you know what I mean, clip that off. But let's let's.

Speaker 1 (13:21):
Make sure that we can revisit you wrong in six months.

Speaker 5 (13:26):
Let's I mean, we're gonna find out if I have
left and the right foot or two left feet.

Speaker 1 (13:31):
You know you got that, that's right, twice a day.

Speaker 5 (13:35):
I mean, if you want to qualify it that way,
you can qualify it that way. It's okay. I still
have your off whites hair that you haven't collected.

Speaker 1 (13:42):
It's all good, but I haven't collected like I gotta go.

Speaker 5 (13:46):
Haven't collected them. You know, I got them. I got
them there and there in the box. They might have
dust on them by now, but they're here and they're yours.

Speaker 1 (13:56):
There they off whites, and they got dust of You
won't be able to do.

Speaker 5 (14:03):
Yes, stupid Uh speaking of thoroughbreds and and and and
some off whites, and you know, you know TJ's thoroughbreds.

Speaker 1 (14:14):
So is a plexico. Pause.

Speaker 4 (14:16):
Anyway, Racing has a new independent regulator. It's called HAISA.

Speaker 8 (16:12):
You are as always, LeVar, Thank you so much. And
we start with Round three of the PGA Championship in
full swing as we speak. Xander Schoffley has the lead
at twelve under par overall. Colin Morricowe one shot back.
Scotty Scheffler is three shots back. Scheffler set to tee
off five minutes from now, and Shaffley and Marakawa will

(16:36):
tee off some sixteen minutes from now. Meanwhile, the mayor
of Louisville, Craig Greenberg, said this morning that the detective
who arrested Scotty Scheffler yesterday was either not wearing a
body camera or did not have his body camera turned
on during the incident. Meeg Greenberg said that there was

(16:57):
footage of the arrest from a fixed cam across the
street that will be released in the coming days, unless
TMZ is I'm going to say about it anyway. We
have a WNBA game going on right now between the
Indiana Fever and New York Liberty at the Barkley Center
in Brooklyn. The Liberty up thirty to twenty one over

(17:19):
the Fever with one forty six and counting left in
the first quarter. However, a strong start for Indiana rookie
Caitlin Clark. She's got ten points, four out of five
from the field with three assists in seven minutes of action.
Of course, it'll be Indiana and New York tomorrow in
Game seven of the NBA's Eastern Conference semi Finals from

(17:39):

Lecron and now here's Cuffs the Legend.

Speaker 4 (18:10):
It's go time.

Speaker 2 (18:14):
Legend.

Speaker 5 (18:15):
All right, all right, y'all know what it is from
the Some Dude Show. He's the man talks this thing.
I think he's the best in the business. Love having
him on the show when he's able to get on. Uh,
we got Cuffs the Legend. And listen, we got TJ
here today.

Speaker 4 (18:32):
Cuffs.

Speaker 5 (18:32):
So if y'all want to do y'all's Laker love fest,
before we start talking about the games that are still
going on and the teams that are still playing and
all those different things, we can y'all want to talk
about Brownie, you know at the the combine. If you
want to talk about those things, you know, yeah, you
know you guys, go right ahead. But welcome into the show, Cuffs. Well,
welcome man. How you doing, man? How's everything?

Speaker 1 (18:53):
Bro?

Speaker 3 (18:53):
How y'all doing?

Speaker 4 (18:53):
Man?

Speaker 3 (18:54):
It? Look we're getting into it. We're getting into that
deep water to playoff. It's my favorite the playoffs.

Speaker 1 (18:59):
We got who Game seven seven.

Speaker 3 (19:02):
Is on Sunday, Man, and if and.

Speaker 1 (19:05):
If Oklahoma City can pull it out, we're gonna have
three game seven series this early in the playoffs. Look
like we got a nice little into this. But looking
at let's go to today and then what we'll talk
about tomorrow. Do you see Oklahoma City forcing a game
seven or will Dallas close him out?

Speaker 3 (19:25):
I think Kyrie Kyrie is gonna I think it's gonna
be the Kyrie Urban game tonight. Like Luca, he's ailing.
We see Luca kind of living around. He's not one
hundred percent. So I think Kyrie he hasn't really necessarily
played well this series. He had some subpar games. I
think he had nine points one game, eight points one game.
That's really subpar for Kyrie. We know he's a big
time pay per view type player, and I think Kyrie

(19:47):
is going to close it out tonight, TJ. I really do.
I think Kyrie gonna have one of those virtual well
so twenty five point games, hit a couple of threes,
because Kyrie's been more of a facilitator this series, if
you've been watching, like he's been getting other guys in involved.
But I don't think the thunder have enough interior size.
That's why I didn't really see them winning this series
before it even started. Like Daniel Gafford has been great

(20:08):
for Dallas. The rookie Derek Lively from Duke. He's played well,
been a beast on the boards. Yeah, I think I
think Luke and Kyrie they're gonna close it out tonight.

Speaker 1 (20:16):
Mm hmm. Interesting, Well let tomorrow hold on.

Speaker 5 (20:22):
Can I follow up on that? Let me follow up
on that. To me, I don't know that it's the
interior size per se.

Speaker 4 (20:29):
You know.

Speaker 5 (20:29):
My my observation was these guys from Oka Se were
slashing very successfully to the rim and we're like extra passing,
like to two extra passes too many. Like I almost
feel like all they got to do and listen the
defense Dallas has. Give them credit, they did some some
good things on defense, and they they they turned them away.

Speaker 4 (20:51):
But try to draw fouls, you.

Speaker 5 (20:53):
Know, if you're not gonna make it or get the
ad ones, like, try to draw fouls. But this extra passing,
it's killing them because they're missing. They're taking two three
extra passes and they're not making they're not making them count.
You're that close to the realm. Just take the guy
dang ball up to the rim and said if you

(21:13):
could get the ball in that, to me, they need
That's where OKAYC went wrong.

Speaker 3 (21:18):
Yeah, they went wrong in that capacity, you right. They
also needed Jalen Wims to step up a little more.
J dub hasn't really emerged, Like he hasn't taken that
leap I noticed is his first playoff run. But in
the regular season people were saying he's a fringe All star.
He has the potential to be an All star. J
Duve has to show up. Like even chet Chet only
had like thirteen the last game. Check got to give
him at least fifteen. I feel like double double. He

(21:40):
got to get double big the rebounds. I think Chat
only had four rebounds, four or five rebounds in Game five.
That's not gonna cut it against against Dallass. Like I said,
Daniel Gafford, he is playing like a wild man. If
you watch, he's rolling hard to the rims, catching lobs.
Like I said, Dereck Lovely has emerged. And PJ Washington.
PJ Washington just pretty much forgotten about it when he

(22:02):
was with the Charlotte Hornins, And now PJ Washington has
a ball as a prolific third option for Luka and Kyrie.
So I'll see them closing it out man, And I
think we're gonna get I think we're gonna get nuggets
and maths I think we're gonna get Nuggets in. I
don't see Yokic losing at home in Game seven.

Speaker 1 (22:19):
I'm taking Wave, I'm taking well, you already got your
prediction on that, and I'm taking the timber Wolves. I'm
taking timber Wolves.

Speaker 3 (22:27):
So you so you're thinking TJ.

Speaker 4 (22:28):
You think you think a man.

Speaker 3 (22:29):
Is really going to elevate and take it to a
D Way MJ level. Like everybody's comparing him.

Speaker 1 (22:34):
Man, just the way he goes about it, it's so refreshing.

Speaker 3 (22:39):
Man.

Speaker 1 (22:40):
Yeah, I told them, bleep bleep bleep, see you for
Game seven. I'll come out and I play better. And
it's just like, this is what we want to hear.

Speaker 4 (22:48):
This is today.

Speaker 3 (22:50):
This how I know that a man is a different animal.
Did you see what he wore to Game five? Down
the funnel to the arena? Come on a regular Walmart Jokings.
He didn't care, he didn't care about the outfit under
the extras. He really is. I do want to see
him win. I'm not rooting for Denver by any means
at this area. I'm just saying, has a man. I

(23:10):
would put my money on the line with Jokic and
the Nuggets because I don't really trust Rudy Gobert man,
like Jokic is having his way with this guy, like
he's having his way with the defensive player of the year.
And you saw Draymond even call him out, like how
can you beat the defensive player of the year and
you can't stop? But no league, go go Beert. So
he has to step up if they want to win,
he has to step up and call Anthony Towns. This

(23:33):
might be the last key in Minnesota.

Speaker 1 (23:35):
He's the key man.

Speaker 6 (23:36):
Let me tell you something, man, I haven't really had
the opportunity to watch or call alphone call Anthony Towns
night in and night out. I did not know that
this man just stands behind the three point lines.

Speaker 1 (23:50):
So annoying, so annoying. I just don't.

Speaker 6 (23:52):
Understand this man seven feet I believe he played twenty
nine minutes. The other night he had thirteen points and.

Speaker 4 (23:59):
We need more than that.

Speaker 1 (24:02):
Are you guys sitting at times they got k C
p or Jamal Murray guard called after the Towns and
he's sitting like but on them.

Speaker 6 (24:13):
And get some seven feet and this dude is standing
behind a three point line every trip down on offense.

Speaker 1 (24:21):
That is the reason, Like well.

Speaker 3 (24:22):
I'm gonna tell you what is flack. It was that
three point contest. You remember a few years ago with
Carl in the three point contest, he fell in love
with that three ball even more and he came out
and self proclaimed himself as the best shooting big man
in the NBA. And I think he's going a little
too overboard with that. We saw Chris Bosh remember remember
the Miami Heat teams where Chris Boss was a straight
five and Eric suposed to utilize him in that way.

(24:44):
That's cool, that's all fine and dandy, but I feel
like with Cat, he's a legit seven footer. You're going
again Aaron Gordon. Aaron Gordon is only six eight, six nine.
You should be averaging twenty eight and twelve this series.

Speaker 6 (24:57):
If you're car ten fust Man for seven eat man,
he's supposed to be a double double machine, night.

Speaker 1 (25:03):
In and night, not going oh for feit. He's the kid,
he's the key, he's the kick out.

Speaker 6 (25:08):
There and get some we mans. But listen, well, the
other night when they put that, they put that ass.
We've been on the Denver Denver Nuggets and and the
joker was standing on the sideline. He had that look
on his face. He was just like, you know what,
wait till games said out. He was just looking around,
looking around the arena. Look how his teammates and everybody

(25:29):
was taking it all in, how the fans was acting,
how the Minnesota Timberwolves was acting.

Speaker 1 (25:34):
And I do not see by.

Speaker 6 (25:36):
Any stretch of imagination for the Timberwolves going to Denver
tonight and beat Joker in a Game seven. It's just
not going to happen.

Speaker 3 (25:45):
It's going to come down to Jamal Murray.

Speaker 4 (25:47):
Though.

Speaker 3 (25:47):
I will say this Nikile, Alexander Walker, Jaden Daniels, who
I said before this series would be the X tractor
for Minnesota. Defensively, those guys have done a great job
of slowing down Jamal Murray. He's having the shots he
is making, He's having to take some tough shots man.
So I would say that is the chance that Timberwills
do have tomorrow if they can just keep Jamal Murray

(26:09):
under twenty Jamal Murray is in at twenty two to
twenty four to twenty five point range. I feel like
they're gonna win because that means that he's getting assists too.
Like Jamal is a high assist guy. So they gotta cut.
They gotta cut. Everybody focused on Yoki so much with
his team. But if you really shut down Jamal Murray,
you can beat the Nuggets. That's the question. I don't
know if they can do it in game seven?

Speaker 6 (26:31):
Yeah, what bothers me when you say it comes down
to Jamal Murray? Like when these teams travel on the road,
it's like they forget how to play basketball.

Speaker 1 (26:40):
Yes, he said conference and Western Conference.

Speaker 6 (26:42):
So when the Minnesota timble was going to Denver the
night and they play and Anthony that was just mashing
up against Jamal Murray. Why can't he not pick him
up full court ninety four feet the whole game like.

Speaker 1 (26:55):
He does in Minnesota. Why does he go to Denver.

Speaker 6 (26:59):
And play a whole different uh, you know, concept of basketball.
Why can't you give the same exact attention and effort
to Jamal Murray on the road.

Speaker 1 (27:09):
That's a gift him at home.

Speaker 6 (27:11):
It's like these teams go on the road and they
and they don't get the same effort, They don't play
with the same energy all because they are playing in
another arena. That doesn't happen in the NFL. We don't
go on the road and you just forget how to
catch the football that don't happen.

Speaker 3 (27:27):
Ve drives me your echo on what I've been saying
a long time, especially these playoffs.

Speaker 4 (27:33):
Yeah, and.

Speaker 6 (27:37):
Jalen Brunsey can't make a free throw Indianapolis, but he
goes thirteen for thirteen in the garden.

Speaker 1 (27:42):
It's crazy.

Speaker 3 (27:44):
If you look at that Pacers and Knick series, the
home game, the home team has won every game. That's
why I pretty much feel like I said it, if
y'all remembory, you can pull the tape up. I said,
it's gonna be a seven game series. Both of these
home crowds. You got the old school nostalgia with the
Reggie Millers fight lea dynamic. But I will say the
Knicks have Game seven in the garden tomorrow, but they looking.

Speaker 6 (28:07):
I text Tim Hardily last night and I said, you
know what, Josh Hart has.

Speaker 1 (28:12):
An a bleak. Yes, he has a bleak.

Speaker 6 (28:15):
And if you haven't a bleak, if you don't have
the longer you he was playing on it, it only works, yep.

Speaker 3 (28:22):
And you can't even tie your shoes.

Speaker 1 (28:26):
He hasn't a bleak. You know how he felt work
waking up this morning? Oh my God.

Speaker 5 (28:34):
Yeah, but they hit him with that toward all they
hit him from them, But that's only gonna last so long.

Speaker 1 (28:40):
And a tour doll is all muscle.

Speaker 6 (28:42):
It's not like it's just I mean this this this
is a domind bleak is the muscle.

Speaker 1 (28:47):
I know.

Speaker 4 (28:47):
But I want to help you in a bleak man helped.

Speaker 3 (28:52):
Me through everything, carry him to the finish.

Speaker 1 (28:57):
Line and cuffs. When I said when this series started, I.

Speaker 5 (29:03):
Said, your boy, get through many.

Speaker 4 (29:06):
Things, get out of it all go.

Speaker 1 (29:08):
I said when the series started, I felt like the
way Tibbs goes about playing his starters heavy minutes, if
this was a seven game series, it's gonna bite him
in the butt. And we're starting to see that with
Josh Hart going down and the guy like you you
hear what place pick him up ninety four feet Dendi

(29:29):
and the Pacers have done that every single game, and
they gonna see the dividends of that payoff tomorrow. You
already right yesterday with Josh Hart going down, they are
going to physically fatigue because this game seven man Brunton
playing at least forty five minutes, he gonna play the
forty five minutes hes gonna be worn out.

Speaker 3 (29:50):
Here's something else I've noticed this series, and I said
this also before it started, Pascal Tiakam. There's no Modianna
Noby now and they have familiarity. If you notice the
beginning of the series when og was out there, Tiakam
wasn't really going crazy as far as scoring wise. Now,
if you watch these last couple of games, now that
o Gananobi is is out with injury, Nick, yeah, the

(30:12):
Knicks have nobody to guard to Yakam. Like last night,
he was getting to his mid range over and over.
He had like he had like twenty five. I think
that is the guy. I think that the Knick's gonna
have to figure out a way to stop him because Halliburton,
He's not really gonna kill you. He's inconsistent with his scoring.
Some games he shoot a couple of three. Some games
he might have seven or eight points.

Speaker 1 (30:31):
I'm not going to take.

Speaker 3 (30:33):
Yeah, he know he shoot like more of a set shot.
He got like a Kevin Martin from Sacramento back in
the day. He got like more of a set shot.
So he can't really get his shot off against the
leite defenders. And Miles McBride is doing a great job
on Halliburton, and you know, and I think I think
this series is gonna come down to like Miles Turner
as well. Miles Turner has been up and down. You know,
he he played good last the last game, like last night,

(30:55):
but like he's not been consistent. But I really do
think the nick Home crowd, like Spike Lee, everybody gonna
be in the Builder Man, Tracy Morgan, we all know.

Speaker 2 (31:03):
So.

Speaker 3 (31:03):
I think the New York City, the atmosphere tomorrow will
be just enough to get him there. But I don't
see anybody beating the Boston Celtics. So flassical the Celtics
are gonna be in the finals again.

Speaker 1 (31:14):
Yeah they will, they will.

Speaker 5 (31:16):
I don't see anybody be but Ken but can to me,
I think the only team that really right now can
beat the Nuggets on a consistent basis or beat them
in a seven game series is the Timberwolves. I don't
I feel like this is supposed to be the Celtics year.
I just don't think they have anyone that's gonna be

(31:37):
able to deal with the Joker, especially if he starts
playing point like he's been playing point at times. It
creates a matchup issue, a nightmare for the opposing team.
You got two seven footers, and like y'all said earlier,
go Beart has to be more of a defender. He's

(31:57):
got to be more of a defender. And if he
is more of a defender in this Game seven, then
you gotta believe the Timberwolves got a hell of an
opportunity to possibly win it all because I don't think
that they can deal I don't think anybody out of
the East can deal with two bigs, let.

Speaker 3 (32:13):
Alone big whoever but.

Speaker 1 (32:16):
Rudy Gobell ain't been playing big.

Speaker 4 (32:18):
Yeah, that's true.

Speaker 3 (32:19):
Whoever wins Game seven against the Timberwolves and Nuggets, they
should be the favorite because Boston does not have Porzingis
and our Horford just cannot guard these bigs.

Speaker 1 (32:28):
For down He'll be back, yes, in the middle of
the Eastern confer.

Speaker 3 (32:35):
Is gonna miss the first two games of the Conference finals,
the first two games.

Speaker 4 (32:41):
I just I find that to be.

Speaker 5 (32:42):
It's gonna be trying for them because they they was
even pointing that out.

Speaker 4 (32:46):
Who was that, uh Draymond was pointing out they was abusing.
They was abusing Horford on that pick and roll. He
can't deal with it, you know.

Speaker 5 (32:55):
I just think that there are some defensive issues with
the Celtics right now that if they deal with any
big man or any slashing team that can get to
the whole and they're not taking the extra passes like
Okac is doing, and they go to the rim, it's
going to create problems. It's going to create problems because
the pick and roll is going to start the work.
They're going to be able to create spacing for their shooters.

(33:18):
It's just going to be an issue for for for.

Speaker 4 (33:21):
The Boston Celtics.

Speaker 5 (33:22):
And I think that the team that could really do
it the best are the two teams that are playing
in the Game seven, which is the Nuggets and the Timberwolves.

Speaker 4 (33:30):
Ye that's just my take on it. But you know, well, listen, man,
this is a.

Speaker 1 (33:35):
Cuffs level predictionall take.

Speaker 5 (33:43):
The hate is real just because I know you know why.
You know why because TJ is not getting enough rais
of the sun to go into his hair, and now
his hair is starting to drive. If y'all saw non
shiny TJ, y'all be tripped out.

Speaker 4 (33:58):
So I get it, he needs more raise. We don't
have to sound like right now, you know what I mean.
It's all good.

Speaker 5 (34:04):
Listen, that's that's a cuffs to any bold predictions before
we let you go.

Speaker 4 (34:08):
Cuffs.

Speaker 3 (34:09):
Now, I think we're gonna get I'm looking forward to
this Mavericks game. I think we're gonna get Mavericks and uh,
we're getting Mavericks and Nuggets eat Western Conference finalsig waiting
on it. They're gonna be waiting on Boston in the finals.

Speaker 5 (34:19):

Feel about it.

Speaker 5 (36:04):
Otherwise, just all the good positive notes, just shouldn't send
them our way, all right, fellas to wrap up the show,
all right, we had a lot to talk about, but
I want to revisit Scheffler before we get up out
of here. If you're the police, if you're the mayor,
how do you handle this? And if you're Scheffler, how
do you handle this? I feel like, if you're Scheffler,

(36:27):
it's just let bygones be bygones. I probably did some
stuff I shouldn't have done, even though I probably did
what I thought was the right thing to do. I
almost feel like that might be the same exact thing
for the police officers that were involved. But how you
guys see it playing out, how you think it should
play out.

Speaker 1 (36:46):
Honestly, how I see it and how I and how
it should I believe it's synonymous and it's exactly what
should happen is It was a big misunderstanding by both parties. Specifically,
Scheffler didn't really understand what was going on. Police officers
doing their job. They tell you to wait, you gotta wait,

(37:07):
they tell you do this, you gotta do this. Because
of what that transpired and the incident that had taken place.
It will be all cleared up, no harm, no foul,
But again, very unfortunate that somebody is going to watch
a round of golf and they lose their life. But
I believe the incident, no harm, no foul, nothing will

(37:31):
come from it.

Speaker 6 (37:33):
Yeah, I believe, you know, it all just flipping them
the rug. You know, by next week or whatever the
case may be, we really won't even be talking about
it anymore because, you know, him not understanding the severity
of what had happened.

Speaker 1 (37:45):
I think, what if he win it, though, play What
if he win it? That would be crazy?

Speaker 4 (37:49):
Is it the biggest win of all time? If he
wins this?

Speaker 1 (37:53):
I mean.

Speaker 4 (37:55):
Coming back like they said, all that.

Speaker 6 (37:59):
Even if he does it, win it. I just commend
them on just his focus of just being able to
go through that and get on a golf course the
same day and be able to go out and shoot
a sixty six on the PGA golf course. That you know,
from a focus and concentration standpoint, if you don't think
about golf, man, it's just you really just you, you know,

(38:22):
out there just competing between you know, you and you
and this golf course. And for him to just you know,
compartmentalize that and put that all to the side and
really just focus on this game, man. I just commend
them just on you know, just being able to get
out there and play and actually having a chance to
win it tomorrow.

Speaker 5 (38:40):
I think there's a lot to be said for playing
through adverse situations. Obviously, that's what pros are lotted for
and known for their ability to be able to focus.
I often wonder where is the fine line between reality
and and fantasy as it applies to these type of

(39:04):
situations and scenarios fellas, just for the simple fact that
the law is the law, and when you're looking at
a scenario where if if the actions of one person
based off of whatever the given scenario is, maybe compromises
or or could could mess up or complicate the severity

(39:28):
of a matter that is a legal matter, a law matter.
I find I find myself airing on the side of cash,
where it's like you you have to abide by the
rules in these types of situations, and so for me,
it's almost like I'm trying to kind of find the

(39:49):
balance of saying I get where Scheffler was coming from
and trying to get to where he was trying to
go to, but I also totally get where the police
officer were coming from, who did what it is that
they did, and in the heat of the moment when
you got to be law enforcement and you're a protector
and you're doing these things that could be life and death.

(40:10):
You know, sometimes it ain't about who the person is,
you know, it's about them doing their job.

Speaker 4 (40:15):
That's what I would say. But I hope it all.

Speaker 5 (40:17):
Works out in terms of they're not really being too
much that comes from it. I hope they drop the
charges maybe and just move on from it. But if not,
it'd be interesting to see how it plays out. And
you know what, we'll be here to talk about it,
because well, we do a show every weekend called Up
on Game that you can out there listen to and
tell a friend to listen to as well. Listen Jonas Knox,

(40:40):
he's going to be coming up next.

Speaker 4 (40:41):
Don't worry. It's a pretty good show.

Speaker 5 (40:43):
Maybe not as good as Up on Game, but definitely
a really really good show, a great listen funny guy
to listen to, and he'll give you all some good
stuff that's going on in sports. So continue to stay
locked in Fox Sports Radio. For TJ Plex myself, We've
enjoyed hanging out with you guys. Everybody in the back
room appreciate you guys and your support. All right, we're

(41:04):
gonna get up out of here. We'll talk to you
next week Fox Sports Radio.
