Speaker 8 (01:41):
Down the heat like Lebron and.

Speaker 1 (01:45):
Now here's Cuffs the legend.

Speaker 2 (01:47):
It's cold times legend.

Speaker 6 (01:53):
All right, all right, this is this is going to
be an interesting one.

Speaker 7 (01:58):
I seen him getting ready, warming up, hitting the weight
room and all kinds of stuff. I saw the saw
that the helicopter, you know, obove him making the noise.

Speaker 6 (02:12):
What is it?

Speaker 7 (02:12):
The jig is up. I think the jig is hovering.
We got Cuffs the legend here. It's been an interesting
NBA Western and Eastern Conference Finals.

Speaker 6 (02:23):
How you doing, cous How you feeling first before we
get into it. How you are you warmed up yet?

Speaker 2 (02:29):
Man? I'm feeling good Man Memorial they weekend. Man, the
sun is out, jig is hovering, though, the jig is
hovering on the New York Knickelbox on the Wolves. Its
hovering on the Timberwolves as well. And I feel like

(02:49):
this is the first time in a long time that
we're watching the conference finals and we already can see
who the NBA champion is going to be, even before.

Speaker 4 (02:58):
Even who you think he gets the Pacers, he think, Hey, hey,
I know you got your feet out and you boy
the pool and or anything, but you're losing your mind
a little bit.

Speaker 2 (03:12):
No Black. Here's the thing. I think, whoever wins the
East is gonna be the sacrificial lamb for the Oklahoma
City Thunder.

Speaker 3 (03:20):
Oh so you.

Speaker 2 (03:25):
Yeah like n g A right now, If you really
watch the film and you really watch like him on offense,
he really looks like Kobe Bryant. Like the footwork, the
fadeaway jumpers, the feathery touch.

Speaker 4 (03:39):
Hey, there's one big difference, though, one big difference Kobe Kobe.
Kobe is not gonna throw his head back when you
touch him like he getting whip lash and fouled like crazy.

Speaker 3 (03:49):
That's the big difference. He he shoot, his shot is wet.

Speaker 4 (03:52):
But I'm telling you, brouh Man, these dudes be like,
just play basketball.

Speaker 3 (03:58):
Bro, like I get out of said, how.

Speaker 5 (04:00):
Y'all just gonna just discredit everything that the Indiana Pacers
are doing right now to the New York Knicks. Listen,
they ten eleven deep.

Speaker 4 (04:11):
On this on this basketball team, and you're right, they're right,
ten eleven deep on his team. And man, the way
Tarres Halliburton man is playing basketball right now, Man, I
didn't know he was just good as a player.

Speaker 5 (04:25):
I'm gonna just flat out be honest with you. I
did not know that he was this good of a
basketball player.

Speaker 4 (04:32):
His dad and I'm here, I'm in New Jersey, so
we get everything.

Speaker 3 (04:37):
The Knicks dudes say, whatever's going on, and we sit
here looking at this thing like Manny had.

Speaker 5 (04:44):
The Pacers are playing uh, supreme basketball right now.

Speaker 2 (04:49):
You're right, they're eleven deep. They're eleven deep. Aaron Smith
has really stepped up this series. If you look at
the Boss scored from last night, like they had five,
they had six guys and double figures. Tarry Tylerburton is
is is proving everybody wrong. I mean all the haters
around the NBA who said he was the most overrated

(05:09):
player in the league. They're really, really, really eating a
nice warm slices of humble pile watching this guy like
really flourished like he's doing and see that, like you
see that light skinned confidence out there he had. He

(05:32):
had the confidence about him. And if you go back
and watch his take from Iowa State, he's always been
this player, but he was for some reason, he was
always overlooked coming out of high school growing up in Wisconsin.
He was overlooked in high school. He went to Iowa State,
and even though he was a first round pick, like
mid to late first round pick, people still have doubts
about him. Even when he came to the league the

(05:54):
Sacramento Kings. Look at the Sacramento Kings. Don't you think
they regret trading him? Now? They had a corner stone
point guard. We don't see too many pass first point
guards in the NBA anymore. And that's what I love
about watching Tyree Tylerburn's game, Like he really he really
gets his teammates involved. Like I said, they had six
guys in double figures. But I say, last night we

(06:14):
got to give flowers to Pascal Siakam.

Speaker 6 (06:16):
Thank you. I was amount to say you're giving out
this light skin love.

Speaker 7 (06:20):
But I mean, speaking of light skin you gotta.

Speaker 5 (06:24):
You know what, Come on, hey, hey, let's get back
to the palika. But you're talking about light skin and
you're talking about confidence con Anthony Towns, man, Well, we
need more, we really do. I mean, hey, since since
the Boston Celtics series, he's shooting nine for thirty two
from three point range and four blocks. It's almost as

(06:48):
if if his shot is not going down, then he
has zero impact on the basketball game.

Speaker 3 (06:55):
And that is sad for a seven foot man.

Speaker 5 (06:58):
You gotta go in there, get some rebounds, get in
the post, defend, get some blocks. Now, we got a
seven foot over here that wants to be a point
guard standing behind a three point line. You shoot nine
with thirty two since the Boston Celtic series, and we
get no production out of call Anthony Towns if it's

(07:21):
jump shots not going down, man, and that is not
how you play the game of basketball.

Speaker 7 (07:27):
I don't think he has enough stamina to run up
and down the court front outside of going from three
pointer to three pointer. I don't think he has enough stamina.
I watched him make a mistake on one side of
the ball. Get up, go run down to the other side.
It was a quick turnover, it went to the other side.
He barely made it back down the courtcuffs barely made
it back down. And that's no cap Like, does he

(07:47):
even have enough stamina to do anything else other than
show up to the three point line and call for
the ball.

Speaker 2 (07:56):
Nobody else is gonna say it, but I'm gonna be
the one that have to say it. Carl Anthony Towns
is just a big safty He's a big soft crow baby.
If you see him, if you see him, like last night,
he had a play where he drove to the basket
he thought he got fouled, and you can see him
screaming at the reps and that high pitched boys like,
where's the foul? Where's the file? It's like, man, you

(08:17):
are so soft. It drives me crazy at times. But
it also drives Tom Thibodeaux crazy because he bitched cat
for us for nearly seven minutes last night in the
fourth quarter. We hardly ever see that, and I feel
like it is too late in the season. I don't
I don't like that Tims did that because you remember
the other night Chris Fitch for the Timberwolves, he benched

(08:40):
Julius Randall, like in the fourth quarter as well. It's
too late in the season to be trying to teach
your players a lessons espec's in a Nick, especially in
the knickt situation where you're down oh one and you're
on the precipice of being down oh two, it's not
the right time Coach Tims to be trying to prove
a point to your star player. And that's the only

(09:00):
thing I don't really like about Coach Tensey's two old
school at times. But hats off to the Pacers Man Halliburton.
They gotta lect Tyree Tlliburton's dad back into the game
in Game three.

Speaker 4 (09:12):
Gotta be yeah, his son has a chance to finals. Yeah,
he's learned his lesson.

Speaker 3 (09:18):
He got it.

Speaker 7 (09:20):
Otherwise, they're not going to let his dad back in
if he don't ball out. He balling hard enough where
they're gonna be like, hey, man, forget his cap.

Speaker 6 (09:27):
Man let his dad.

Speaker 2 (09:28):
The reason I say the sacrifice, the sacrificial lamb is
going to come out of the east because there's no
way the Knicks. If somehow the Knicks can come back
from this two oh deficit, there's no way the Knicks
can beat the thunder because they're they're playing what I
call daddy ball, a U ball where they only have
five to six players. You can't go into the to

(09:48):
the playoffs this deep and play five to six guys.

Speaker 7 (09:52):
You you think that's what Indiana's doing?

Speaker 2 (09:56):
You know what I'm saying that Nicks on playing.

Speaker 3 (10:00):
The Knicks have a bigger problem.

Speaker 6 (10:02):
The Knicks have a bigger problem.

Speaker 5 (10:03):
They're not gonna win the series right And I said
that Jalen Brunson, as great as he's playing right now,
he's going to be the downfall for the New York
Knicks because they don't get nothing from anybody else. He's
he holds the basketball the whole entire shot clock. And

(10:24):
what are you what are the New York Knicks and
Jim Dolan going to do moving forward? You lose to
the Indiana paces to get to the NBA Finals with
the team that you have, you just bring in Cat
from Minnesota. It's the reason why they let him go anyway.
But where do you go moving forward from an organizational

(10:45):
standpoint getting players if you're the New York Knicks.

Speaker 2 (10:50):
I think the Knicks just had to FORTI five their bitch,
They got a solidifier, bitch because they're only playing Mitchell
Robinson and and Deuce McBride campaign getting a little minutes
here and there, but it's not enough. You see what
the Pacers are doing, They're ten eleven d TJ. TJ
McConnell is the guy.

Speaker 5 (11:07):
For me.

Speaker 2 (11:08):
I've been a fan of him since he was in Arizona.
TJ McConnell came in last night and changed the whole
trajectory of the game. If you go back and watch,
he was assistant, he was scoring, and he had like
ten points I think four or five usas. TJ McConnell
has been a huge X factor cause you.

Speaker 4 (11:24):
Know what I've noticed too though, in these playoffs, everybody
is they want to trade draft picks. They want they
want to get a Big two, of Big three, whatever
it is. The teams that have young guys, full of energy, athletic,
these are the teams that are doing well because now
they they come in they six y five to six seven,

(11:46):
They can guard everybody, and they have energy, they can guard,
they can hit the three. The older teams don't have
that because they trading away all these picks.

Speaker 3 (11:56):
They can't draft any of these guys.

Speaker 4 (11:57):
So it may be somewhat the changing of the are
to wait the NBA and some of these teams are building.

Speaker 3 (12:04):
No, no, look look at Houston.

Speaker 2 (12:06):
Rocket and you know you know who, you know who's
looking like a genius right now, and he's gonna look
even more like a genians at the OKC wins this
fighter because they're gonna win it. Sam Presty is putting
together a potential dynasty because look at all the draft
picks and.

Speaker 4 (12:21):
Future and you know what people say, Oh, everybody talk
about how Sam Presty is this and that he's a
great drafter. He ain't never won a championship. Well, they
ain't gonna be able to say that much longer now
they win it.

Speaker 2 (12:33):
I think I think they're gonna win it this year,
and I don't think it's gonna be closed. I think
they're gonna I think Minnesota might squeak in. They might
have a chance to win Game three, a game four,
and it'll be a gentleman sweep. But I think we're
looking at pretty much a five game series in the
in the in the NBA Finals, because the Pacers they
play up tempo like the Oklahoma City Thunder, and I
know we're looking back to the Knicks already. But the

(12:55):
Pacers can score, but I just don't think they're They're
just they don't have better players than the Thunder, and
I think it's gonna be probably a five game series already.

Speaker 7 (13:04):
Do that's Cuffs the legend t J. Huschman's out of
Plexico burs. I'm LeVar Arrington. You are listening to Up

All right, we got the NBA Playoffs, LeVar, and we
got Game two of the East on.

Speaker 1 (14:28):
This time up tops caught by Forest Baxicole Furist went up,
caught it and right it to the end Zone.

Speaker 3 (14:38):
State wollet it Happy.

Speaker 9 (14:41):
Valley challenge accepted.

Speaker 3 (14:43):
Yeah, thank you, thank you.

Speaker 1 (14:46):
I didn't play it.

Speaker 9 (14:47):
Come on, LeVar plays the Penn State fight song from
his position, and now you hacking or as system to
play a highlight from nineteen ninety eight.

Speaker 3 (14:59):
Well, absolutely absolute.

Speaker 6 (15:02):
You got his highlight on it. Yeah, very well done.

Speaker 9 (15:08):
I low, I will, I will forego passing along with
the final score of that particular game was because.

Speaker 6 (15:14):
It's not important. What was important was game two of
the Eastern.

Speaker 9 (15:17):
Conference Finals on Friday night that saw the Indiana Pacers
by thirty nine from Pascal Siakam defeat the Indiana defeat
the New York Knicks one fourteen to one to night
in Madison Square, Gardens of the Pacers now lead the
series two games to none. Coming up tonight at eight
to thirty Eastern from Minneapolis, to t Wolves host Oklahoma
City in Game three of the West Finals, with the
Thunder leading two games to none. Stanley Cup playoffs on

(15:40):
Friday night, the Edmonton Oilers one a Dallas three nothing,
tying the West Final at one tonight at eight Eastern.
From Florida, it's Game three of the Eastern Conference Final
and the Stanley Cup champion Panthers leaving the Carolina Hurricanes
to nothing. However, the Panthers today ruled out forward Sam
Reinhardt because of a lower body injury. Reinehart was Florida's
leading goals scorre or during the regular season baseball, the

(16:02):
start of today's game between the Red Sox and Oriols
at Fenway delayed by rain, now set to get underway
just moments from now.

Speaker 6 (16:10):
Guys back to.

Speaker 7 (16:10):
You appreciate it. I lo okay, Fellas. Going into the break,
I said, you know, let's let's continue. We didn't talk
very much about the Western Conference. I mean, maybe it
hasn't been very much to talk about in terms of
the finals there. And there's also the conversation of now
the w NBA is underway. Obviously there was a little

(16:33):
bit of you know, couldn't come out of the game
with just feeling good about you know, Caitlyn and Angel
locking horns and playing it turned into a dramatic deal.

Speaker 6 (16:43):
You know, what's your take on at cuffs?

Speaker 7 (16:46):
Like I asked the guys earlier about their take on
the Angel Reese Caitlyn Clark scenario, what's your take on it?

Speaker 2 (16:54):
At someone who's like being involved with coaching basketball, training players,
development player. I've been in the gym over twenty plus
years of my life, and there's this phrase that US
coaches say. I've heard some of my NBA buddy say
that the young prospects keep the main thing, the main thing.
Y'all heard that right in locker rooms, like keep the

(17:15):
main thing the main thing. And when it comes to
Angel reason, when I watch her skill set on the court,
she's so raw, and she's still so raw and unpolished,
I feel like she really really needs to hear some
qu serum from some real people outside of her camp,
in her circle. She needs to get in a lab

(17:36):
with a real basketball trainer and work on her weaknesses
because like it looks like it looks like somebody who's
like a cloud chaser. That's what she's in it for
all the perks that comes with being a famous basketball player,
like the money, the fame, the notoriety. But she's shooting

(17:58):
twenty two percent. Shoot I mean twenty two percent, and
she's a power forward like we Dennis Robmin was not.
Really I see the comparisons of Dennis Robin as far
as her being a having a great nose for the
basketball and being a great offensive rebounder. But even Dennis
Roman can make a layup. You know, if you've seen

(18:18):
that clip that is.

Speaker 7 (18:20):
Her miss shots that she's rebounding, cuff just thought, I
add that to the time her shots that she's rebounding.

Speaker 5 (18:27):
Exactly what does her basketball ability and talent have to
do with, you know, the little you know scruff that
she had with Caitlyn Club.

Speaker 2 (18:43):
Well, my issue with I already have an issue with it.
My thing with her and Caitland Clark is I feel
like Angel would never admit this publicly, but she likes
the drama that comes along with being attached to Caitland Clark.
So if you look back last season, right, Alysza Thomas
for the Mercury defenis Mercury now. But Alyssa Thomas she

(19:03):
played for the Connecticut Sun last year. Every matchup she
went against Angel Reech. Last year, she was literally bullying
Angel Reaches on the court and Angel never really barked
back to her, back at her the same way she
did Caitnon Clark. So that tells me there is something there.
And we saw RG three's comment. He saw him and
Ryan Clark going back and forth about this anger reef.

Speaker 6 (19:25):
Feel about it.

Speaker 2 (19:26):
I just feel like Angel is jealous of Caitlyn. She's
she's jealous that he can't eat up with her. From
a talent standpoint. She has to do all these extras
to stay in the conversation because if we just look
at pure basketball bility, you're not in the conversation. Caitlin
Clark is literally the female Steph Curry. It's it's not

(19:51):
the same conversation as far as who's the best player.
So I did see the guy going back and forth,
and I think it might be a little tte going
on with Ryan.

Speaker 7 (20:01):
Stop you on the show with three football players.

Speaker 3 (20:10):
Hey, we all got it. It's all right, we got it.
So I'm just handling more than better.

Speaker 2 (20:17):
The reason I say that is like, how does Angel
Reeth and Caitlin Clark getting into a little little, little white,
little scuffle on the court. How does that trans How
does that? How does that turn into you guys posting
pictures of of your kids and your wives? If you
got that part of it right, you guys, it proves

(20:38):
my point that kit and Clark is already to go.
Already in your two, She's already to go. She moves
the needle unlike anybody we've ever seen in women's basketball.

Speaker 7 (20:47):
There's nobody else out there in in the w n
B a stratosphere like the shorter girl in in and
uh in Vegas.

Speaker 6 (20:54):
You don't you don't feel like she's.

Speaker 7 (20:58):
I mean, are you just saying if it's just going
along with the fact that Caitlin Clark is going to
be the.

Speaker 6 (21:03):
MVP of the league this year, is just going to
be her world. It just is what it is.

Speaker 2 (21:07):
I think the MVP right now is Na FEATI a
caller for the Minnesota Lynx who's one of my favorite
players in the league. If you look at her numbers
so far this year, it's insane. But I feel like
the other girls, they're not really craving the spotlight as
much as some of the younger players that's coming into
the league, you know what I'm saying. So I feel
like they get kind of overshadowed and overlook at times.

(21:27):
I really do, that's my thing.

Speaker 6 (21:29):
But why is that why you think that is?

Speaker 7 (21:31):
I mean, you gotta build up the brand in order
for the entire brand to build up, right, So one
singular brand growing is positive for the entire league. So
why would they not want that attention?

Speaker 2 (21:45):
Because the part about the WNBA right now that I
notice is it's more about the drama and gossip with
the w NBA than it is actual basketball and me
being a peeress of the game. I hate that it's
like that, I really do. I wish people would tune
in more to actually watch basketball instead of saying, oh,
today Angel Reese is playing Caitlin Clark. You've seen the

(22:06):
ratings when they play each other. Whenever those two. When
the Chicago Sky play the Indiana Fever, everybody really rushes
to their TV screen to see it because we live
in a world where it's all about drama and gossip,
been chaos, you know what I'm saying. And I hate
that the league has turned into that because there's so
many talented w NBA players that's coming into the league,

(22:27):
Like I'm watching the Washington A mystics like Sonya Citron
for Notre Dame. Nobody's talking about her. She wasn't. She
was the first round draft pick this year, playing well.
Like I said in the Fisia Collier, she did her
thing in the Olympics with Asia Wilson. But the average
person on the street, if you go to your average
grocery store right now and he was walking around, you

(22:47):
saw an Fiesia caller, the average fan would the average
American wouldn't recognize her in person before they would Kaitlin Clark.
So I feel like the league has to do a
better job of actually marketing basketball instead of because if
you look at Twitter, we see, like I said, we
see the drama, we see the extras more than we
see who.

Speaker 7 (23:06):
And I'm right, yeah, the story itself became a bigger
story than even the game. And TJ mentioned it earlier,
like look the game wasn't competitive, but you're still talking
about two big names and you're able to leverage those names.

Speaker 3 (23:20):
It's good for the WNBA, man, it's good for the WNBA. Dude,
I mean, do you do.

Speaker 6 (23:26):
You think it's good?

Speaker 2 (23:27):
It's it's bringing more eyeballs. I just hope they can
retain those those fans. You see what I'm saying, like,
don't just come around for the drama and the spicy stuff,
stay around and watching basketball.

Speaker 7 (23:38):
Are you saying that because Angel Reese isn't as good
as you think she needs to be, Because I don't
think that that would be the retention would definitely be
there for Kitlyn Clark. Caitlyn Clark is doing like you said,
Steph Curry type stuff. She's hitting baskets from all over
the court. But it sounds as though you're saying Angel
Reese might not be the retainer and it might be

(24:01):
more about the drama than it is her game cuffs.
I mean, that's I feel like that's what I took
from what you said.

Speaker 2 (24:06):
Yeah, that's exactly what I'm saying, But like that's what
I'm saying, she needs to focus and keep the main thing,
the main thing. I want to see Angel Reach come
back next year with a fifteen foot mid range jumper.
I want to see her back to the basket, spin moves,
step through its footwork. Plaxico knows this stuff he's seeing.
I've seen your daughter, Plaxico. She's doing her things like
you've been in the gym. You've seen girls basketball, You've
seen improvement, you've seen development. I don't see any development

(24:31):
with Angel Rees since she came from LSU. She's the
same player. Damn, he's the same player.

Speaker 3 (24:37):
Hey, well she needs to go.

Speaker 4 (24:39):
She need to hit up this one guy from Carolina
and get in the gym with him.

Speaker 6 (24:43):
His name is Cuffs. The Legend Pod.

Speaker 2 (24:48):
The doors to the doors to the church are open anytime. Angry. Well, look,
we're doing mic and drills. We're doing We're doing at
least two to three hundred mic and drills, reverse mic
and drills. We're starting every session with a mic and drill.
Because you can't make a layup around the basket. Percentage

(25:08):
power for it is rubbish. It's robby.

Speaker 6 (25:12):
It's rubbish.

Speaker 5 (25:14):
God, I mean, you know all it takes is you
know that one year for you to go out and
you know, not perform on the level that you know
you think you should be. I've went, I've been through it,
you know, I'm sure TJ and LeVar you know.

Speaker 4 (25:33):
Had man my son playing right now the way that
they didn't want right now.

Speaker 5 (25:38):
So you get in the lab and you fix it.
So that's what you gotta do. That's one of the
that's one of the things about being a great player.
It doesn't matter what sports you play. Always set to
work on. It's always something to work on because the
better you get, the better the better that people are
going to be defending you, or whatever the case may be.

(26:00):
So you gotta not play for your strengths, but make
your weaknesses your strength.

Speaker 2 (26:06):
And I believe that I would love I would love
to sit down with Angel and really, like have real
private conversations because I want to know if she really
love basketball like that, like do you love basketball? If
we see guys in the NBA, they are exact saying
they're not exempt from this conversation. Do you love basketball
or are you really passionate about waking up every day
and getting one percent better every day? Or you do

(26:29):
you just love the perks that come along with being
a basketball player. The line like the glitz, the glamour.
I really honestly feel like she loves the other things,
the other stuff, more than getting in the gym. And
when I say getting the gym, I ain't talking about
with the Instagram trainers. I'm talking about getting in the hot,
sweaty gym, no camera crew, nobody even know. We're not

(26:51):
posting it on Instagram because we saw her unrival this
summer with Lisa Leslie, like posting the cliffs or with
Lisa and Leslie doing a few drills that was for show.
That was just for show.

Speaker 6 (27:03):
They did it one time for.

Speaker 2 (27:07):
She did it one time, so you can post it.
But like now, when I see the game, it's like
you can't make a layup under the basket that saves
your life. And it kills me to watch that, you know,
being a coach at heart, always going to be a coach.
It drives me crazy because he has no tous around
the basket, no polish, no footwork, and not the bash

(27:28):
on Angel. But it's like it's he just needs to improve, man,
It's just that simple. She needs some truth serum and
some truth serum in her circle.

Speaker 7 (27:37):
What's the truth sound for the Timberwolves, man, because they
need some in order to try to make this series
a series.

Speaker 2 (27:46):
I think I think they're going up against an absolute
defensive juggernaut. I know a lot of times we all
look at Oklahoma City, we see their offense, how they
they have spurt ability, Like I haven't seen the team
in a long time that can just go on the
ten oh, twelve, oh, fourteenth, fourteen to oh spurts like
they can do. These runs are insane, but they're a

(28:07):
by product of their defense. Like look at Alex Caruso,
how he's moving the puppies. He's bringing the championship experience over.
They got both Jalen Williams playing good defense, and I
heard somebody even say this where like even Check Hongram,
like they got I think, who's on the second team
defense with a Jalen Wims, Oh Crusoe. Crusoe is an

(28:28):
all defensive player, but it's arguments that Jalen Wims might
be a better defender than even Crusoe. So I feel
like they're gonna be the champions not only because of
their offense, but the way they can just flip it
and play defense and turn on that defensive switch. When
we've seen Check Hongram, he can block shots. He's long
and wiry. Isaiah Hernstein off the he's doing his thing.

(28:50):
He's rebounding and defending. It's an absolute juggernaut.

Speaker 6 (28:53):
So what y'all thinking Manos.

Speaker 2 (28:59):
Have been Yeah, they've been up and down. They've been
kind of up and down this series so far. So
I hope it can steal a game so we can
kind of have a prolonged series and have some type
of entertainment. Because I'm gonna ask y'all real quick, would
you agree that the Eastern Conference Finals have been way
more entertaining than the Westerners, no.

Speaker 4 (29:18):
Question, even though both Series two and oh, no question,
it looks it's just it's more competitive.

Speaker 3 (29:29):
And that's a way.

Speaker 2 (29:30):
The Western Conference Finals look like a random basketball game
on a Tuesday night only pass right now. That's what
it looks like to me when I watch it. I
don't see the same intensity level on the Western side.

Speaker 3 (29:40):
The Thunder are so good.

Speaker 4 (29:42):
The Thunder defensively, they're very they're very it's almost like
they're all connected.

Speaker 3 (29:48):
I move here, you go here.

Speaker 4 (29:50):
They foul you a lot, but they're so good defensively
that guys are rarely out of position. Everybody knows where
to be, and so a lot of times when they
are fouling, they get the benefit of the doubt because
it looks as if every single time defensively, they're all
on the same page, very ready at a wide open shot.

Speaker 2 (30:12):
Did you see Anthony Edwards going to the locker room
at halftime, not the end of the game of game two.
At the halftime of game two, they had the camera
right on ant Man going to the locker room, and
he looked absolutely dejected and defeated. He looked defeated, like
I can't do anything to get us over the hump.
And he and he's played pretty pretty good. I think

(30:33):
he had thirty two to the last game in game two,
but he's he's having to exert so much energy because
they're they're they're crowded, the gaps, the driving lane, they're
they're they're sitting in the paint just waiting for ant
Man to drive to the basket. And like I said,
he's not getting he's not getting additional help from Julius random.
Julius Randall had six points in game two. It was

(30:53):
it was to the point where I literally thought he
was point shaving in game to the way it looked
like like.

Speaker 7 (30:58):
His point Jokich was, you know what, I think Jokic
was the disrupting force obviously in their last series, and
it made it an interesting series because he made their
their defense uncomfortable, Like he made it an uncomfortable way
of trying to defense the Nuggets, because Jokic is able

(31:18):
to operate from so many different places on the court,
and he's most dangerous in my estimation, when he's right
in the center of that paint, you know, because he
can score on you. He could body you up and score.
But it opens up the court. No one, Rudy Gobert
has gone missing. He was right there sitting next to
randall On on the sideline in the fourth quarter. Randall

(31:40):
has gone missing. There's no one to loosen up that
defense to create any type of spacing for Anthony to
even be I mean, which how much more effective does
he need to be?

Speaker 5 (31:52):
I gotta be honest with you, Alice Caruso guarded the
Joker better than to go bell And what Julius rent
Love doing right now?

Speaker 3 (32:02):
Man, he's just active.

Speaker 4 (32:04):
Man, he's acting in the right mind as a head
coach is going to put carus on the Joker and
actually hold his.

Speaker 7 (32:10):
Own and and Uh and Hungrin are the ones to
me where the unsung heroes in that Denver Nugget series
take on.

Speaker 4 (32:19):
Caruso plays with so much. This what Crusoe plays with, heart, desire,
want to this is what you need me to do?
I got you do You know how many guys his
size would would have folded Guard Jokic last series, they
would have folded.

Speaker 3 (32:36):
And on them. You know what?

Speaker 2 (32:38):
You know what? You know what doesn't you know what
doesn't sit right with me to this day to day
the Lakers. The Lakers had Alex Caruso and they let.

Speaker 3 (32:48):
Him, let him go for nothing in case for nothing.

Speaker 6 (32:52):
For nothing, Right, Well, ye, here's what we're gonna do.

Speaker 7 (32:58):
We're gonna come back. We're gonna do something up on game.
We're gonna do some down on game to finish this up.
I got a feeling that I didn't want to dominate it.
I did not dominate this week. So they're gonna talk
too much trash. But there's at least there's always you know,
this time on the other side of this break, you're
listening up on game, it's DJ Hutchman is outa it's

(33:18):
Plexico Burds. This cuffs the Legends LeVar ericsonbet Is. Fox

this weekend. It's the Memorial Day weekend, and it's obviously
time to honor and remember the brave men and women
who made the ultimate sacrifice for our freedoms. It's a
day to reflect on courage, dedication, and service. As we

(34:25):
enjoy our freedoms today and this weekend and moving forward,
just make sure you take a moment to thank the
reminder and think and remember those who gave everything for
our country. Their sacrifice reminds us of the true cost
of liberty and the importance of honoring their memories on
every day, not just Memorial Day and Memorial Day weekend.

(34:48):
So enjoy your barbecues, enjoy your food and all those
good things. Enjoy the weekend, enjoy the fellowship between each other,

Speaker 6 (34:58):
Paid in order to for us to be able to do.
So let's jump into it. We got it up on
game down on game Here.

Speaker 1 (35:04):
We gone for some picks. Are you up on game
Let's break this up. Let's break it up down on
game down?

Speaker 6 (35:15):
All right, bo, what you got?

Speaker 3 (35:16):
Well?

Speaker 6 (35:16):
What was last week?

Speaker 8 (35:17):
Yeah, lamar, you said you you said you didn't do
great last week.

Speaker 6 (35:20):
You're right.

Speaker 8 (35:20):
You went one in three. TJ and Cuffs both went
four and oh oh wow.

Speaker 3 (35:25):
So hey, greatness days at the top. Greatness always stays
at the top.

Speaker 5 (35:29):
One week, one weekend on the way and little Wall
just goes into trash.

Speaker 6 (35:35):
You know, every once in a while, the you know,
the light don't come on. That's all. Let's go. Let's
we'll start back right this.

Speaker 8 (35:42):
We'll start with tonight's game three in Minnesota. The Thunder
head to the frozen Tundra to take on the Timberwolves.
The Thunder a two and a half point favorite here
on the road. The total is currently said it to
eighteen and a half, and the bar will start with you.

Speaker 7 (35:57):
I think I'm gonna take the over on the to
eighteen and honestly, I believe that this has to be a.

Speaker 6 (36:05):
Win for Minnesota.

Speaker 7 (36:07):
Otherwise it truly is, as Cuffs would say, the jig
hovering and it's up. Uh So I'm gonna take. I'm
gonna take Minnesota to win this one. They cover obviously.

Speaker 4 (36:18):
Yeah, I gotta give with Minnesota to the Wolves too. Man,
it's a must win game for them. I'm going over
on the points. And me and levard don't agree on
too too many things very often, but I think they're
covered and they win the game going home down oh
and two Minnesota knees this game. They must win this game.
I'm gonna take the Minnesota Timberwolves. I'm gonna go under

(36:42):
on the points just because I don't want to be
with them.

Speaker 6 (36:45):
Thanks, that's that's a horrible reason.

Speaker 3 (36:49):
Yeah you go, that's a that's a fangle spot.

Speaker 2 (36:53):
Hey, the Brooms get the brooms out, get the rooms out,
getting ready. I'm taking the I'm taking the Mama pigget
Thunder to go up to Minnesota, getting to win, and
it's gonna be over. They're gonna they're gonna cover the
grid and Oklahoma City Thunder. Go ahead and get the
go ahead and get the broom out this week.

Speaker 8 (37:10):
Dang all right. Next up, we had two Indiana where
the Knicks are going to take on the Pacers in
Game three. There the Pacers a two point favorite in
this one on the road. The total currently said it
two twenty four.

Speaker 7 (37:25):
I'm gonna take the under on the total, but I'm
going to take the Knicks with the upset.

Speaker 6 (37:31):
I think they come away with the win this this
in game three.

Speaker 3 (37:35):
You know what, I'm taking the underwn the totals.

Speaker 5 (37:36):
The events, the Knicks have left everybody down in the
Tribborough State area. Everybody, I don't give dad where you
live in least everybody down so open with any other Pacers.
And I really believe that the Pace is gonna beat
the Knicks by twenty in Indiana.

Speaker 3 (37:55):
I really believe. I really do believe that.

Speaker 4 (37:57):
Day can This is where I think we may be
getting the brooms out. I believe Indiana Pacers, Uh, they win,
They win very handily. This is the Pacers. They just
play too fast, man, and the Knicks gonna be worn out.
Y'all take the over on the points. The Pacers just

(38:18):
play at a pace. No pun intended that the Knicks
ain't gonna be able to handle them.

Speaker 2 (38:22):
I'm gonna take I'm gonna take the under. I think it.
I think it might be an ugly game, but I'm
gonna go with the Pacers. Be getting double brooms, y'all
be getting a broom in the West and be getting
a broom in the e is gonna be a blowout.
Halliburton's dad should be in the building, I think so.
I think the Pacer is gonna blow the doors off
the Knicks.

Speaker 7 (38:39):
Man taking the sweeping to the ease, sweeping to the West.

Speaker 6 (38:46):
Teams that I know fast, I'll be sweeping. Yes, Yeah,
that's it.

Speaker 2 (38:58):
That's up.

Speaker 3 (38:59):
We ain't got no call hole, no bowling, no rodeo,
no nothing.

Speaker 6 (39:03):
Dang, you're just trying to win.

Speaker 1 (39:04):
Win.

Speaker 3 (39:06):
We cover everything hockey in AHL.

Speaker 2 (39:10):
We got five hundred. We got the five hundred going
on and Andy doing will right.

Speaker 6 (39:14):
Now, y'all feel good about that, y'all.

Speaker 4 (39:17):
As Cuff say, man, the Knick's gone Nick.

Speaker 3 (39:21):
The Knicks are kind of Nick. My goodness.

Speaker 7 (39:26):
All right, well you know there, you guys go uh,
you have now been put up on games. So you know,
if you if you feel the need to stay on

Speaker 6 (39:46):

Speaker 7 (39:49):
Like sarcasm and obviously passive aggressiveness, you will love to listen.

Speaker 6 (39:55):
To Jonas Knock.

Speaker 7 (39:56):
So here the floor is set to pass the baton
off to Jonas as obviously the cleanup crew.

Speaker 6 (40:02):
He's got to try to clean up after this dope
ass show.

Speaker 7 (40:05):
