Legend legend.
Speaker 3 (01:56):
Hey, Cuffs man, welcome.
Speaker 4 (01:57):
Hey, I just hope you know, man, we bring you
like it's a championship fight and you about to walk
down that uh that you're coming out of tunnel Mike
Tyson in the.
Speaker 3 (02:06):
Nineties, early two thousands.
Speaker 4 (02:08):
Coming out that tunnel, Flay Mayweather. That's the welcome we
want to give you. Championship fight and you're about to
get in that ring.
Speaker 6 (02:17):
Yeah. For like Apollo creed Man, he was, you know
in nineteen eighty as so when he came to the
ring of Von Drogo. Yeah, man appreciated. God's happy to
be back. Hey man, I gotta be honest. And the
Inner Pacers they blew they blew it. Last night y'all,
they blew it. I think not only did they blow
(02:38):
Game four at home and they had all the momentum,
but I think they blew the entire series. They let
it slip away.
Speaker 4 (02:46):
They were so good in Game three, I believe they
scored thirty. They've been averaging thirty plus points in the
fourth quarter throughout the series. Last night they scored seventeen
points in the fourth.
Speaker 3 (02:59):
The game was right there.
Speaker 4 (03:02):
What do you think or what adjustment did Oklahoma City
make to hold them the seventeen points when they were
averaging thirty over thirty in the first three games.
Speaker 3 (03:13):
In the fourth quarter, it was.
Speaker 6 (03:15):
A Demorliz and l They had a seven point lead,
They had a seven point cushion TJ going into that fourth.
The crowd was rocking. You saw the people in the crowd.
They mullets was flapping in the breeze. They they was
feeling good. They just knew they were on the precipice
of being up three to one. And now, if you
look at it, the adjustment that was made with Mark
Dayton All, you got to give him credit. Okc's head coach.
(03:39):
He called the time out. It was like three minutes
and fifty two seconds left, and what was happening was,
if you remember, Andrew Nimhard was really defending SJA pretty well.
He was clamping them up on a lot of possessions.
He was making SJA defer a lot. Diagnaut went to
that he called the switch he put he pretty much
put nim Hard in those switch because they wanted Aaron
(04:01):
Nee Smith to guard SGA, and they got that matchup
down the stretch. So if you see though, if you
go back and watch the last three and a half
minutes of the game, they made sure that they put
them hard on those switches so they can get Knee
Smith on SGA and SGA eate them alive. And I
know everybody woke up this morning saying the same thing
as they as we saw last night. It was a
(04:22):
questionable call because I do feel like that was an
offensive foul.
Speaker 4 (04:27):
Oh now that's not a question. That's not a question.
It's too too. It's an offensive foul. And the traffic
call one of them, call one of them due, why
does this?
Speaker 3 (04:37):
Bro? Why do they do this?
Speaker 6 (04:39):
He? SGA is very crafty. He's been getting the way
of that little forearm shivered, the little his shoulder dip.
But last night. That was a Dereck Henry's stiff arm,
I feel like. But as we've seen in the history
of the NBA Finals, the superstars usually get the benefit
of the doubt in those tight moments because guess who
(04:59):
the referee was last night standing right there in front
of that play and then and it swallowed the whistle.
The legendary they call him the series extender, and he
had stended the series last night. Scott Foster was right
there and Scott Foster said, no, no, I'm not I'm
not gonna go the whistle. How do y'all feel the y'all?
(05:21):
I mean, you already said it was a charge. Pla
do you think there was a charge?
Speaker 3 (05:25):
Man?
Speaker 2 (05:27):
It was definitely a charge. Uh, There's no doubt about it.
And this is one thing that I've been noticing with
the NBA. In the NFL, they have to stop this
part of the game during the replays. They go to
Steve jaff Or, they go to the Jeans sterotore and
(05:47):
they have these They use these uh people inside as
as a buffering system so the referees can get it
right and they follow everything. Ain't that they say during
the break when they asked Steve Javier question, that is
the same exact call that they make on the floor.
(06:08):
It's a buffering system that the NF, that the NBA
is usual during instant replay and also the NFL. They
are not even allowing the referees to go to the
monitor and make the correct call based off of what
they saw on the floor. They are in tune with
the with the TV broadcast and they're following everything that's
(06:29):
being said by whoever they're interviewing for the call, if
it's Steve Javier or whatever the case may be. But
it's definitely a charge by s g A and he
getting MVP calls. Now you might as well just I
suppose you might as well break it down as because
I saw a couple of times ye last night when
they were when they locked the ball in the possia
(06:49):
come a couple of times he just come from behind
him and knocked the ball out and they're not even
calling fouls on him, And I'm and I'm mad. I'm
not mad, but he is the m v P. He's
getting these MVP type calls. But y'all also have to
give him his credit. He rolls to an MVP level
last night in this basketball game when his team need
(07:11):
him in the most, and just like he said after
the game, he said, man, listen, I know exactly how
this thing would have looked, that we would have went
down three to one. And you know what, man, he
answered the call fifteen straight points and he looked like
the most dominant player in the world last night when
his team needed him the most.
Speaker 6 (07:29):
Listen, he had eleven points in a final three minutes.
I don't think the average basketball consumer understands he was
getting buckets, regardless if they was offensive files or he
was getting away with a little a little bit of
a little bit of extra little elbow room here and there.
But those were premium. Like I told y'all before, he
(07:49):
reminds me about a Kobe. I see the Kobe. I
see the Alan Iverson. He had that wiggle. He's so
slithery palls. You know, it's like he can really he
can something out of nothing a lot of times. And
I feel like that's the key to this series with SGA,
Like you gotta look at it this way. He scored
thirty five last night, zero asist. So he was playing
(08:11):
what I called go there. He was playing what I
called go to hell ball where you pretty much like
your team gives you the ball and they tell her.
You know, you tell your teammates to go to hell.
You know he was, he was in his bag last night.
He ros this. We haven't seen that since Jerry West
in nineteen sixty two, zero six on thirty five points.
And also one more thing about the game last night
(08:33):
with SGA and the whole Oklahoma City Thunder team, they
only made three three pointers the whole game and they
still came out with a win.
Speaker 4 (08:41):
They they made it a point to attack the basket
and the non foul call offensive foul. That's the part
that's crazy is because the refs called a tight game.
It was thirty eight like Oklahoma City. They took thirty
eight free throws. The Pacers took thirty three. So they're
calling a ton of fouls when you get to that point.
Thirty eight free throws for Oklahoma City, thirty three for Indiana.
(09:05):
And now you don't call the offensive foul, that's fine.
You don't call the travel, that's fine. It's a three
game series. Whoever wins two of the next three will
be the NBA champion. They're going back to Oklahoma City Indiana.
Outside of Game one, the Patris have been in every game,
(09:26):
could have won every game. After you guys just spoke up,
how do you see these next three? Because it's gonna
be a seven game series, how do you see this going?
Speaker 6 (09:36):
Y'all? Y'all know Oklahoma is known for tornadoes, right, like
that that state, they're known for the twisters, Right, It's
gonna be an absolute tornado that's gonna come through there
in Game five. That crowd that moment. I think it's
gonna be a blowout in Game five. I think the
Pacers gonna get gonna get blown out, run out of
the gym. And I just think there was an ultimate
(09:57):
gut punch last night because they're so close to going
up three to one and putting all the pressure on
okac now and I wanted the Pacers to win last
night just to see how okay See will respond to.
They're the youngest team in the league, they've never been
here before. But now I feel like they they probably
(10:19):
won't say this publicly, but last night when they went
into that locker room, they know they really dodged a bullet.
Because the Pacers had everything going their way, and one
thing last night did I know that Benedict Matherins He
played incredibly. He played incredibly well the game before. In
Game three, he was like he had twenty five off
the bench. He's only like four guys in the history
(10:41):
of the NBA age twenty two or younger. He's an
elite company doing that. And then the very next game
to have some bonehead files down the stretch, missing some
key free throws down the stretch. I know Benedict mathern
Is he didn't sleep well last night, and.
Speaker 2 (10:56):
I don't think Sheffil did either, man, because he made
a couple of questions of files that I knew that
he wished he could take back. But I'm gonna get
back to the pacers, man. But I'm just going back
to some of these questionable calls that were made last night.
One time, aaron NEI Smith was standing in the paint
outside the outside the semi circle, and that was a
charge that he drew. They ended up calling it a block.
(11:19):
Then Obie Topping gets called for a flagrant.
Speaker 4 (11:22):
On They shouldn't have been a flagger, But lou Georg's
flagrant foul shouldn't have been a flag that.
Speaker 2 (11:28):
Was not a flagrant fowl. But then they come back
and call a fragrant foul on Obie Talking for getting
hitting the head.
Speaker 3 (11:34):
So those are three questionable calls.
Speaker 2 (11:36):
And I think though those are really just playoff files
and they're listening to the broadcast and these referees are
making making those calls the same exact way that they're
being said on TV. But those are not playoff basketball files.
And my opinion, and moving on to the Indiana Paces,
(11:57):
there's too many things wrong with what happened last night.
Miles Turner hasn't showed up to me basically in this
series at all. He's shooting with twenty nine thirty percent
from three point range, he's not getting into paint, not rebounding.
Shepherd doesn't fit in this series at all. I don't
think there's nobody that he can guard from the Oklahoma
(12:20):
City Thunder, So I believe that they lose minutes when
he's in the game. But who I do have to
get creditude? Hey, that piece of my man Key and
Martin Man because I was listening to him last week
talk about the athletics, athletic system of ob topping, and
people don't understand how athletic and how gifted this young
man is and I believe he put that on display
(12:40):
last night and fron the world to to remind everybody
why he was the nationmith Player of the Year five
years ago when he was in Dayton and college basketball.
But he has been the one highlight for the Pacers,
Palsiakam and Halliburton. But they have to find a way
to get more or from Miles turn up. He's going
(13:02):
to be inserted into this lineup and they just got
to find a way to, you know, get those loose
balls O'Connell, Nie Smith. They gotta find a way man
to contribute down the stretch because, like you said, because
it's gonna be a tornado.
Speaker 3 (13:18):
In Game five.
Speaker 2 (13:19):
I still believe OKC goes back to Indiana, Indiana's gonna
win Game six, and it's gonna be a Game seven
in this series to decide Ton, to decide the World Championship.
Speaker 6 (13:33):
I was gonna say this about Obie Topping because I
was tweeting the same things during this series. Even last night.
He came from the A ten with one of the
nation's leading scorers that Dayton and he was criticized by
the Knicks. He didn't really he didn't really have a
good sit with the New York Knicks. The fans was
blowing him. He came back, he got you know, he
served from humble pop to the Knicks fans. But I
(13:54):
was looking at Obie Top of these last couple of games.
It's like a more athletic Robert Or. He's in threes,
corner threes, he's facing the floor, he's doing everything for
the Pacers. TJ McConnell has played great. He's being like
steam Natch and Spurts is what I call him. They
do need one more guy because Mattherin is not had.
(14:15):
He's shown he's inconsistent and be and Ben Shephard is
not really consistent as well. So I would say the
one linch pin in this series that has the sided
things and tip the scales, it's Alex Caruso, y'all. Like
Alex Carusso. I saw a.
Speaker 3 (14:30):
Crazy stature yesterday. Great game he played last night.
Speaker 6 (14:35):
I saw a crazy stat to where Alex Carusso has
two twenty point games in the NBA Finals and he
had zero twenty point games during the regular season. So
that tells me that he is a what Dick von
tell you say, a pt pier. He a prime time player,
like he's a dog. He's ready for the big stage.
He had championship pedigree with the Lakers. And I hate
(14:58):
to say this once again to the Laker fans, but
Rob Polinka and Jenny Busse, let that man go for nothing.
Look at his value, Look at the value he's bringing
to this young thunder in the playoffs.
Speaker 4 (15:10):
Man, I don't want to talk about that. Hey, hold
your thoughts up, because you brought up the Knicks. We're
gonna talk about that. We're gonna talk about the mess
that they've done with this head coaching. Uh saga. And
also I want to get into one of my favorite players,
that's Kevin Durant. Where Kevin Durant gonna be by the
end of this weekend, So that's the legend himself. Cuffs

My guy, Hey, cuffs.
Speaker 6 (16:47):
Good?
Speaker 3 (16:51):
What to do?
Speaker 5 (16:52):
What it does?
Speaker 1 (16:52):
You know what I mean?
Speaker 3 (16:55):
Well?
Speaker 7 (16:56):
Game four of the NBA Finals there was Shay Gildris
Alexander who was doing most of the doing, especially in
the fourth quarter, with fifteen of his thirty five points
as his Oklahoma City thunder rally for a what eleven
one to OHO four win at Indiana to tie the
series at two games apiece. Game five on Monday at
Oklahoma City. Perhaps the bigger news, the New York Knicks
(17:16):
actually get to talk to somebody about their head coaching job.
The ESPN reports they're planning to meet with former Memphis
head coach Taylor Jenkins as well as former Sacramento head
coach Mike Brown about their head coaching job. After two
rounds of the US Open, Sam Burns has a one
shot lead at three under par. Overall, You've got JJ
Spahn one shot back and Victor Hoveland two back. The
(17:39):
three of them the only players in the entire tournament
field who are under par. It'll be Burns and Spawn
Teeming off the third round at three thirty five Eastern time,
just over two hours from now Tonight at eight Eastern
from Edmonton, Game five of what is shaping up to
be a classic Stanley Cup Final, the Oilers in Florida
(17:59):
Panthers tied at two wins apiece three of the first
four games of the series. We're decided in Southern sudden
death overtime.
Speaker 5 (18:07):
We got you.
Speaker 7 (18:07):
Major League Baseball games going underway right now. The Nationals
and Marlins are scoreless going to the bottom of the
second ning, and in Detroit the Tigers and Reds are scoreless,
also going to the bottom of the second ending.
Speaker 4 (18:18):
Guys, all yours, I loove, We appreciate you man, Thank
you now.
Speaker 3 (18:22):
Cus, before we went on.
Speaker 4 (18:23):
Break talk to you, brought up the New York Knicks
and how they didn't use o be topping the correct way.
Now he's thriving with the Pacers.
Speaker 3 (18:34):
Surprise fire.
Speaker 4 (18:35):
They fired Tom Thibodeau and da So we want to
talk to Jason Kidd. No, beat it, were not letting
you talk to him. Oh, we want to talk to
Billy Donovan.
Speaker 3 (18:45):
Beat it.
Speaker 4 (18:46):
No, we're not letting you talk to him. Oh Minnesota
Tiper wolfs Couch. Can't you think of his name right now?
We want to oh Chris. They want to talk to everybody, coach,
every being. You ain't speaking with our coach, Gonna find
your own coach. And then Gilbert Areenas dropped a little
(19:06):
straight out there saying they think they slick. They're gonna
act like they really tried to hire this coach, that coach,
this coach, but they really want to hire Rick Brunson.
That's Jalen Bruns's father coach. What number one did the
Knicks miss play this? And why did they not have
(19:29):
a plan?
Speaker 6 (19:31):
Well, I'm gonna tell you the New York Knicks. I've
always said for years that the New York Knicks will
never matter in the grand scheme. I've been tweeting that
for years. They fans hate me for saying that. But
look at you now, But the candidate DJ and plasks
the coaching head coaching Canada is right there under their
nose the whole time, right there in New York. Do
(19:51):
y'all remember the movie, the classic movie Eddie with Whoopy Goldberg.
Eddie right, Whoopy Goldberg is right there in the city.
Wh Now, Whookie man, I mean, look, you struck down
with everybody else. I mean Jay Wright told you know.
I think Jay Wright would have been a great fit.
He has his Villanova guys, his Villanova pumps right there,
(20:13):
I said Mike Malone as soon as I saw the
news that Tim's got the boot. Mike Malone had championship experience.
He's fresh off of NBA Finals championship run or just
two years ago. And I've heard Nicks fans say, well,
Mike Malone doesn't use his bench the same way that
Timbodeau doesn't use his bench. That's not factually true. That's
(20:34):
not true because the Nuggets had a terrible bench this
past season, just like the New York Knicks did. So
he was kind of hesitant to put those guys in there,
and he wanted to run with his main guys Jamal Murray,
Porter Junior, Aaron Gordon, Jokics. He wanted to run with
that championship group. I think Mike Malone would be the answer.
(20:54):
I think he would be a singless fit because, like
I said, he's won the championship recently. He just understands that.
I think his personality will match the city. There's been
there's being rummas about Johnny Bryant. He's one of the
top assisions with the Knicks about you know, promoting from within.
I like, I would like to see a young guy
like Johnny Bryant possibly get a shot as well. But
(21:17):
at this point, man, it's like they winging it. To
be honest with you, it looks it's a bad look
on the Knicks organization because it's such a prestigious franchise.
It's one of the top money making franchise in the league,
So you would you would look at it from this
standpoint like y'all should have just kept kids if you
didn't know who the back contingency plan was, right, Like,
(21:37):
in order to fire a coach like Thibodeau, you have
to have a contingency plan in place, and it's looking
like the Knicks are just winging it right now.
Speaker 2 (21:44):
Tj Implack, I've been I've been knowing Leon Rose twenty
five years man, and he has a very.
Speaker 3 (21:50):
High basketball IQ.
Speaker 2 (21:52):
Obviously, he used to be an agent of you know,
all the guys at the Jones CP and you know
everybody else, and now he is basically call them all
the shots for the New York Knicks. But just like
you said, you know he was aighting for Dereck Rose
and all of those guys.
Speaker 3 (22:06):
So I don't.
Speaker 2 (22:07):
Understand why you fire TIBs. It's like you said, if
you didn't have a plan moving forward. But I don't
think the problem is coaching. Like these coaches that they
want they want to come. I don't think they have
a problem with coaching Jalen Brunton and the guys, But
it's more of the organization.
Speaker 3 (22:27):
I mean, how many.
Speaker 2 (22:28):
Coaches think you think want to sign up the coach
of New York Knicks after seeing what this happened to
Tibbs after they had the best season in a quarter century.
And not only that, who wants to deal with the
scrutiny day in and day out coaching here in New
York City. I know what it's like. They know what
it's like. They're like, man, listen, I'm not signing up
(22:49):
for that. I just want to coach basketball. But they
don't want everything that comes with it when you come
coaching this city. That's why they are putting out the
interview use for these coaches that fit the attitude of
New York City, these fans, the scrutiny because every everybody
(23:10):
doesn't want to come here. I know that, personally, players
and coaches. So you got to find somebody that's willing
to deal with the the the the scrutiny day in
and day out for the media and being playing in
Madison Square Garden because every.
Speaker 3 (23:28):
Night in Madison Square Guarden, man, it's an event.
Speaker 2 (23:31):
Every regular season game is like it's Game seven of
a series.
Speaker 3 (23:36):
That's just how it is up here.
Speaker 2 (23:39):
And everybody all these coaches at the interviewing, like, man,
I don't want to coach there. I mean, I would
coach these kids if they were somewhere else, but I'm
not coming to New York. Look, how y'all there's treated tims,
So I don't know what they're gonna do moving forward.
Rick Brunson may be the move moving forward for this team,
But you got to ask yourself if you're a coach,
You're like, man, how much am I willing to deal
(24:03):
with with being the head coach of the New York
Knicks moving forward? Because I mean, listen, they're gonna be
a good team for the next four or five years.
I really believe with Jalen Brunston at the hell, but
do you really consider them to be a world championship
contender if you become the head coach of this basketball team?
Speaker 3 (24:27):
Yeah, the Knicks is what Couff said.
Speaker 4 (24:29):
It's they just, oh, let's turn off the lights and
see who we that's gonna be our coach.
Speaker 3 (24:35):
We can't see.
Speaker 4 (24:35):
We just gonna go there and tell oh, that's our coach.
They didn't have a plan. And when you're an NBA
franch we're not talking AAU. This is an NBA franchise
and they look lost, They look like they have no
idea what they're doing. But they'll be all right because
they got one of the best players, one of the
(24:55):
best closers in the game. And Jalen Brunst Is say
he gonna fix all the problems a problem that needs
to be addressed. Bro, where Katie gonna go, Like, Katie's
still gonna give you twenty five and nine? Because whereas
(25:16):
Kevin Durant gonna end up at Man like that? That
to me is the biggest dob Wherever Katie, they instant,
at least on paper, championship contenders.
Speaker 2 (25:25):
You know what cups man, I'm looking at all these
teams moving forward. They're talking about Houston Rockets, Miami Heat, Minnesota,
San Antonio, and Knicks. For me, uh, the Houston Rockets
don't fit because I like they I like this cord
of these young nuclears. But guys that they have, I mean,
who are you willing to part with if you probably
(25:47):
give up Jabbari Smith if you're the Houston Rockets, so
maybe other players. I don't think he fits in Miami, Minnesota, Timberwolves.
I can see it, but I don't really see him
and Man co existing. And the New York Knicks, I
don't see KD wanted to go back to New York's
on any way, shape or form, whether it's the Knicks
or the Brooklyn Nets.
Speaker 3 (26:07):
I don't see that.
Speaker 2 (26:08):
But I can say a lot of all these teams,
one team makes the most sense to me, and it's
the San Antonio Spurs. You have DeAndre Fox, young nephews
probably going to get drafted to the San Antonio Spurs,
and Dylan Harper, you insert, wouldn't be back into the mixing.
You add Kevin Durant to this Roston and now you
(26:31):
have a basketball club in San Antonio that can basically
compete with anybody. The old KC's, the Bostons of the world,
and now they have a team that can possibly compete
for a world championship. But if you looking at Houston
and Miami and Minnesota and New York, I just don't
(26:53):
see how Kevin Durant fits with those teams, especially the
Houston Rockets.
Speaker 6 (27:01):
Well, even at age thirty six and year seventeen, Kevin
Durant you can steal piscol NKD for twenty seven point
six six rebounds, four assists every night, right, And I'm
kind of on the different side of the fence with
this because I feel like KD, just like we saw
a twenty seventeen to twenty eighteen with those Warriors, he's
(27:24):
a higher gun. He's a highed mercenary at this point
where you can fit him in seamlessly in any situation now,
even at age thirty six. So if he goes to
the t Wolves, which I've been on the record for
over two months now, I was the first person in
sports media to say that I would like to see
Kevin Durant go play with at Man. This is early
(27:45):
in the playoffs when I saw how Julius Randall was
a consistent and I felt like, if you watch some
of those matchups with KD and ant Man, they had
this little playful banter back and forth, but imagine that
energy on the same team together. And I feel like,
if you some of the footage during the Olympics, at
Man has idolized KD. He has said numerous times on record,
(28:06):
that's my favorite player right there. So I know at
Man is in the shadows pushing for this trade, and
you're probably gonna have to give up the Vincenzo, some
of the role players. Nos Reed is a free agent
coming up. Rudy Gobert, the need they need to ship
him to Pakistan or wherever because he's not gonna ever
bring any value to the Timberwolves team. But the Rockets,
you probably have to give up Jalen Green, maybe Van
(28:28):
Fleet to make the salaries work.
Speaker 3 (28:30):
No, no, no Ah.
Speaker 6 (28:32):
The Miami he situated is intriguing, Flax because if you
get a big three of Kevin Durant, Kyla Hero and
Bam out of Bayu, you can move the needle in
the Eastern Conference. You can make some noise. And I'm
hearing that the Miami League are on board for Kevin Durant,
but they don't want to. They don't want to part
ways with Khalil Ware or the rookie senator man.
Speaker 4 (28:54):
If he go if he goes to the Miami Heat,
I don't want to cut you off. They not winning
anything is but the Minnesota or Houston. Outside of that
Minnesota or Houston, he go anywhere else, he ain't winning,
So cusfy, I agree with.
Speaker 6 (29:12):
You Plaques on this because I've said this as well.
As much as I want to see him play with
Ant man just for the cinema of that. The best
basketball fit would be with the sentence on your Spurs
and Victor wm Binyama and Stefan Castle you probably had
to get You probably have to include Devin Vacil in
that package, Jeremy Socrin, some of those guys package. Yeah. Yeah,
(29:35):
if you're if you're, if you're the Spurs, you will
give all that away for the chance to see what
it would look like with the alien unicorn cydboard, Win
Bin Yama and look at that wingspan on your front
line with Kevin Durant, you know, helping on defense. You
got wmben Yama protecting the Rams. Defond Castle Rookie of
the Year two way dog. I'm getting excited thinking of paper.
Speaker 3 (29:58):
You can give it number two dealing huff get.
Speaker 6 (30:02):
You could you could include the number two pick. You
possibly can keep your fourteenth pick because they got two
first round lottery picks. So the Spurs. If I'm the
Spurs right now, I would really be that would be
the team I would like. I would be blowing up
the phone right now trying the pair Win Bin Yamba
because if you put Windy with KD, look at that,
Look at this foutelage man like Chris. Chris Paul provided
(30:22):
a lot of that this year with the Spurs. He
came in, He helps the fun castle, he helped the team.
He brought a lot of He brought a lot of
wisdom and knowledge to the team. Chris Paul is gonna
move on. I'm pretty sure he's gonna probably latch on
with maybe the Clippers or the Laker or somebody like that.
So I feel like KD would come in and not
only give you that that locker room presence, that leadership,
that quiet leadership, but he gonna give you twenty seven,
(30:45):
six and four every night.
Speaker 3 (30:48):
Yeah, that make the most sense for me.
Speaker 2 (30:51):
I just I just can't, uh, you know, foresee that
uh that the Minnesota Timo Willms are willing to sacrifice
Devincenzo and naj Reed so you know, ant Man and
Kevin Durant can play together. I just because I think
I still believe that that they that they have a
team that can win a championship in the next two
(31:14):
or three years. But they gotta figure out some way
to keep those guys together, these young guys that they
have together, what they do.
Speaker 6 (31:22):
I got a wild card team for you, Black. I
got a wild card team for you though, in the
Kevin Durant sweepstakes. My pops even said it, what about
the Boston Celtics. Brad Stevens, we know he, We know
Brand Stevens. Who you give up, You're gonna have to
give up Drew Holliday, poor zing is, maybe even Derrick White.
Speaker 3 (31:41):
Oh, I'm giving all three of those guys.
Speaker 4 (31:43):
They all three of those guys know, No, Hey, all
three of those guys can go. And if and if
you're Phoenix, that's a good deal for Phoenix because you
get Derek White, two way player, you get Drew Holliday,
who's gonna play great defense. Now you may be overloaded
at the guard position with uh, but.
Speaker 2 (32:02):
Won't you won't be overloaded this year, I feel the
boss because Jason Tator's not going to.
Speaker 4 (32:07):
Be Hey, if you are the Boston Celtics, you do
that in a heartbeat, at least I would.
Speaker 6 (32:14):
That's what I'm saying. Don't sleep on Brad Stevens because
he's been a mastermind for years. Look how Derrick White
arrived at Boston. They fleet the Spurs to get Derrick
White like they fleece the Pelicans to get you all day.
So he has a lot of Danny aingel him, Danny
ing in him, is what I'm saying, Like Brad Stevens
learned well with Danny Ainge when he was in Boston.
Don't sleep on Brad Brad Stevens in these negotiations because
(32:37):
I do feel like this trade is pretty much. It's
pretty much it's like almost done. I feel like I'll
talk to KD well, I don't necessarily talk to him
about this type of business. It's like a little nuindo
here and there. So I think it's I think it's
going to go down before the draft. We're gonna see
some fireworks because I don't think. I don't think KD
and his team they didn't want to overshadow these finals,
(32:59):
you know what I'm saying, Man, Like, these finals have
been great. Everybody had so much negative to say about
the NBA Finals going into it, and it's actually turned
out to be one of the most entertaining from a
basketball standpoint. These finals have been amazing, So I feel
like they didn't want to overshadow that moment. So I
think as soon as these finals wrap up and we
get it to the NBA Draft, talking the next week
or two, because the draft is at the end of
(33:20):
the month. I think we're gonna see that big splash
and Kadi gonna find his his forever home. This is
his last stop, y'all agree? I think this is his
last stop in his career.
Speaker 3 (33:28):
Gotta be you.
Speaker 4 (33:29):
We would assume it's his last stop. But Kevin Duranta know, man, man,
he he just be moving place to place. He might
play one year and be like, hey, I want to
go somewhere else.
Speaker 3 (33:41):
You never know.
Speaker 6 (33:42):
But look Westbrook, Look Westbrook is an unrestricted free agent.
To where Where's Westbrook gonna finish his career? Where would
y'all like to see Russ finished? I think he's on
his last stop too. He's an unrestricted free agent this summer.
Shang hot shard what we're doing. We were going to.
Speaker 3 (33:55):
The Hey, don't go to Puerto Rico. We know that.
Don't go to Puerto Rico with Boogie Cousins.
Speaker 6 (34:04):
Definitely, my god, Bookie Cousins, man, Booky Cousins. You know
he was a little, a little hot head over there
in Puerto Rico. But Boogie Cousins, man, I want to see,
by God, keep it, keep his cool, making this. You
know you overseas made the crowds are totally different than
the NBA crowds, So the god got to be aware
of that. Man.
Speaker 4 (34:24):
Well, yeah, we we got to get in Puerto Rico
with his temple in no way he makes. Yeah, that's
why I said that, him and Boogey Cousins. But yeah,
we gotta take a break. We're gonna come back, finish
the show with Up on Game, Down on Game. That's
cuts the legend, mister Plexico Barrows. I'm TJ Houshmansata, Fox
Sports Radio.
Speaker 3 (34:43):
Up on Game. We'll be right back.
Speaker 2 (34:44):
All right, welcome back to Up on Game. We're gonna
finish the show here strong.
Speaker 3 (34:51):
Uh.
Speaker 2 (34:53):
LaVar is not with us today, so we have a
few more minutes. Myself couts the legends. We were speaking
basket ball. We spoke Schamal Stewart, Dak Prescott wanted to
bring a championship back to Dallas. We'll see how that
works out, Lott, Kevin Durant, what's going to be his
final destination moving forward with his NBA teams. But last,
(35:15):
but not least, we are going to finish with up
on Game and down again. Can we please get the
results for last week.
Speaker 1 (35:26):
Not for some picks.
Speaker 6 (35:28):
Are you up on game?
Speaker 1 (35:29):
Let's craak this up, Let's crack it up, tell game,
get it down?
Speaker 3 (35:35):
All right?
Speaker 5 (35:36):
So last week not a good week for this show.
The best finish was Labarren Cuffs tying it too and
two flax. He went one and three. TJ went to
zero to four. So always time to rebound. We'll see
if we get TJ back in here, but we'll get
your picks at least for Monday's Game five in the
(35:56):
Stanley Cup Finals between the Florida Panthers and the Edmonton Oilers.
Florida a one and a half full favorite on the road,
and the over under is currently said at six and
a half.
Speaker 3 (36:06):
Wow, the over under set at six and a half.
Speaker 6 (36:09):
Yeah.
Speaker 5 (36:09):
A lot of scoring in hockey tuesdays.
Speaker 2 (36:11):
Oh man. I've been running with the Florida Panthers all year.
I believe that two of the best teams in hockey
over the last ten years have been to Florida Panthers
and the Tampa Bay Light than my man John Cooper's
head coach over there, piece of my man Coop.
Speaker 3 (36:25):
So I'm gonna stay in the state of Florida.
Speaker 2 (36:28):
It just seems like two of the hottest states in
America have like the best teams, Las Vegas and Florida.
So I'm going with the Florida Panthers, but I'm going
to take I'm gonna take the under on the sixth,
but I'm taking the Florida Panthers to win.
Speaker 6 (36:45):
I'm gonna take the I'm gonna go with the oil
They are home, right, game Bob at home?
Speaker 5 (36:49):
Yeah, it's in.
Speaker 6 (36:51):
I'm gonna take the Oilers, and I'm gonna take the
under on the goals. I think it might be slightly
more low going to these last couple of games, so
I'm gonna go with the Oilers to go up three
to two.
Speaker 5 (37:02):
All right, excellent. Then, of course we have Game five
in the NBA Finals. The Indiana Pacers head to Oklahoma City.
The Thunder a nine and a half point favorite in
this one, and the total is currently said at two
twenty three and a half.
Speaker 3 (37:15):
Two twenty three and a half.
Speaker 2 (37:18):
Well, I'm going over on the points because, just like
the Cuffs have reiterated earlier that there are tornadoes in Oklahoma,
I believe here is going to be a tolado.
Speaker 3 (37:29):
But I believe it's gonna be it's not gonna.
Speaker 2 (37:32):
Be a category Category five, it's.
Speaker 3 (37:34):
Gonna be a category one.
Speaker 2 (37:36):
So I'm gonna take the Okay Senator, Okay Thunder to
win this game. I'm going under under the two twenty
three and a half. I believe you said, but I
don't believe that the Thunder cover this nine game spread.
So I'm taking this bread but Okay, see Thunderer when game,
(38:00):
but they won't win it by more than nine.
Speaker 6 (38:03):
It's gonna get ugly back. It's gonna get so ugly
you're not gonna be able to recognize the Pacers when
they get back to Indiana ugly. So they're gonna the
Oklahoma City Thunder. It's gonna be a molly wopping. So
they're gonna cover the spread. It's gonna be a blowout.
They're gonna cover the nine and a half. They're gonna
win the game. I'm gonna take the under because I
don't think I think by time the fourth quarter start,
(38:25):
the PACER's gonna have the ben guys on the court,
so they're not gonna get the points. I'm gonna take
the under on the pace.
Speaker 3 (38:30):
You know, where are we at? Okay, see Okay, see thunder.
Speaker 2 (38:34):
The Pacers point total over under two twenty five and
a half and the okay see is minus nine.
Speaker 3 (38:43):
Man, I'm taking the Pacers. I'm taking the over.
Speaker 4 (38:46):
I like Indiana to They may not win, they gonna
keep this game close.
Speaker 3 (38:51):
It's gonna be high scoring. All the games have been
high scoring. Yeah, that's what I said.
Speaker 2 (38:57):
All Right, there you have it, TJ, do you have
every Thank everybody for listening. It's been up on game.
Thanks for listening. Comes to Legend and TJ. Everybody enjoy
your Saturday.
Speaker 3 (39:12):
We out of here, peez
