nine and plaques Man, you were at seven five seven product.

All right, all right, all right, all right, welcome back

dot Com studios. Tirerack dot Com will help you get
there an unmatched selection, fat free shipping, pre road habard

the way tied buying should be. You talked a lot

(01:04):
about what's going on with the draft. We will touch
on the NBA playoffs is we'll bring Cuffs the Legend
on from some dude show on up on Game Network
at ten twenty. We'll bring them on at ten twenty.
But right now, guys, what I wanted to talk to
you guys about was, was there anything in particular that

(01:26):
jumped out at you and on day one of the draft,
and maybe even maybe even not even day one, maybe
it was something that has taken place in the draft
that led you to look at you know, this was
a win for that team, or this was a great
decision by that team. Where you know where you guys

(01:47):
fall on that.

Speaker 4 (01:49):
You know, when when you start saying, oh, these teams
had a really good draft, these teams had a really
bad draft, you're saying the team had a good or
a bad draft because you really value those players and
you don't value the other players.

Speaker 5 (02:06):
Let's just be honest. You really don't know.

Speaker 4 (02:10):
You have to give it a couple of years to
see how these players pan out, because some players they
get drafted in the first round and they become complacent,
that desire to be great, that desire to continue to
climb that ladder. Now that you had this money, it

(02:33):
isn't there anymore, and that is always a case. You
just don't know which players fall into that category. Oh
the money has changed them. Money doesn't change anybody. It
just reveals who you've always wanted to be and who
you always would be when when you got it. And
so it's hard to say who had a great draft

(02:56):
who didn't have a good draft, but I'm going to answer.
I like what the Commanders did in the first and
second round. I really like the dB from Michigan. I
can't pronounce his last name, so Sandra still, I don't
know how you pronounce it, and getting Jade Daniels I

(03:18):
also like, Yeah, I just am not to pronounce it.
And also, honestly, I like what the Falcons did because
they were sold in their conviction on Penis and it
takes a lot to do what they did because they
knew criticism would come from that. They knew they would
be criticized for drafting Michael Pennix, but they believed in

(03:41):
it so much they didn't care. And so I like
that type of conviction and their scouting and what they're
doing because you know when people are going to be criticized.

Speaker 5 (03:50):
Ah, should we do it?

Speaker 4 (03:51):
You know they gonna say data, they believe in what
they see and what they saw, and so they drafted them.
But it remains to be seen.

Speaker 5 (04:02):
You know.

Speaker 6 (04:02):
I think that one of the first things that jump
off the page with me for day one this team
has was seeing the same exact thing that I'm saying.
I don't know how he got this far, and I'm
gonna just go on to record that I think he
is probably the most underrated play in the first in
the first round. The young man's name is Brian Thomas Jr.

(04:26):
Whide receiver from LSU played alongside Elik Neighbors. Everybody saying
Elik Neighbors is the guy. He's the guy, He's the guy.
I had the opportunity to sit down with the coach,
his officer coordinator, and I sat there and I watched
film with this young man. He is really something special.

(04:48):
The kids six ' four. He just ran a four
to three to three at his pro day and jump
by thirty eight and a half.

Speaker 5 (04:54):
Its vertical at mister Barris, you know who trained him? Right?
Who you did?

Speaker 7 (04:59):
You not?

Speaker 5 (05:00):
You know out here? Yeah?

Speaker 6 (05:01):
Yeah, I'm telling you right, Damn man, this kid right here,
he is going to do some damage in the NFL.

Speaker 5 (05:10):
Man the next level.

Speaker 6 (05:11):
He's foro. It just taller than the neighbors. Everybody knows
whose Monique Labors is. The guy just had what almost
twelve hundred yards last year and seventeen touchdowns on sixty
eight receptions. This kid right here, and I'm telling he's
gonna shock a lot of people of how talent and
how good he is, especially for his height and the
size man and things that he's able to do playing

(05:34):
wide receiver aplex.

Speaker 4 (05:35):
And you know what you would like about BT That
dude is smart as a quarterback. It is cray how
smart he is and how well he understands the game
of football. Bro, it would blow your mind away how
smart this guy is when it comes to the game
of football and crazy crazy intelligence.

Speaker 7 (05:55):
Wow, I'm would.

Speaker 3 (05:58):
Say this my take on this. Like win erners and losers,
I'll just say I don't know. I feel like I
feel like my boys team, our boys team, they lost
in not getting one of these quarterbacks.

Speaker 7 (06:14):
I really do.

Speaker 3 (06:15):
I feel like I feel like the six quarterbacks that
went in the first round are all capable of being
amazing players in the National Football League. Now, some have
gotten better opportunities than others. I think JJ McCarthy steps
into one of the most amazing opportunities, becoming the quarterback

(06:38):
for the Minnesota Vikings. I think it was a tremendous
win for Atlanta to take Michael Pennix because I believe
Michael pennis is a dark horse quarterback that actually has,
if not top tier caliber, you know, abilities and capabilities
ceiling wise, certainly can.

Speaker 7 (06:57):
Be on that next tier that we see the the
you know.

Speaker 3 (07:00):
Kirk Cousins, the Dak Prescott's, you know those those types
of Jared Goffs, those those types of quarterbacks on that
next tier.

Speaker 7 (07:09):
Maybe not a Lamar Jackson or.

Speaker 3 (07:11):
Patrick Mahomes type Aaron Rodgers, but but certainly one that
can be comparable to getting you to to that that
next level of competition.

Speaker 7 (07:21):
So I think every every team that.

Speaker 3 (07:23):
Got a hold of a quarterback in this draft, either
of those six were actually winners. Do you do you
feel as though, like for me, I think the hardest
part and and listen, they added a donaze to to
the receiving corps for for Caleb Williams, But I think
the hardest part for a guy like Caleb Williams or

(07:47):
anyone who has gone to a team that doesn't necessarily
have the type of of maybe success or structure that's
that exists. Like what what JJ McCarthy is about to
walk into in Minnesota.

Speaker 7 (08:02):
It could be an it could be a touch and
go situation.

Speaker 3 (08:07):
Even as talented as they are as a quarterback, everybody's
going to look for their quarterback to be like c J.

Speaker 7 (08:13):
Stroud.

Speaker 3 (08:14):
That's like the gold standard of this was a successful
rookie campaign for a quarterback. If it's anything short of that,
it's like it's not good enough. It's not good enough
for a top draft pick. And that's how it's always been.
That's not new, That's how it's always been. I just wonder,
I'm curious which one of those quarterbacks is going to

(08:36):
have the most success and is it going to be
based upon how good they are or is it going
to be based upon how good their team is and
how they're structured?

Speaker 4 (08:46):
You know, LeVar, it really comes down to the team,
It really does. But honestly, you got to be impressed
with what Ryan Poles and.

Speaker 5 (09:00):
Chicago Bears have done. You gotta be.

Speaker 4 (09:02):
You will get one of the better rot runners in
Keenan Allen. You draft a guy who and I'm biased
because our training who I believe is going to be
really good and Roma doing that.

Speaker 7 (09:15):
That baby runs route.

Speaker 4 (09:16):
Rome is big, he's fast, he has crazy ball skills.
No like he'll make an easy catch, I mean a
hard catch looks so easy because his hand eye coordination
is so good. But the man is six three and
he ran ten to five and one hundred meters in

(09:37):
high school. He ran twenty point six I believe in
the two hundred meters in high school. So at six
three two fifteen running like that, what his ability to
run routes and his ball skills. And then you also
have Dj Moore and Keenan Allen cole kmet DeAndre Swift

(09:58):
in the backfield. That is an impressive skill group that
that really isn't And so now it is can Caleb
do his part?

Speaker 5 (10:09):
Can can he do his part?

Speaker 4 (10:11):
And if he can, you would easily have to say
that Caleb Williams is going to have a great rookie
year and possibly a great career because of the players
around him. They are doing what you should do if
you draft the quarterback high, surround him with weapons. So
now we have no excuses and let's see how it
plays out.

Speaker 6 (10:32):
So are you saying that the Chicago that the Chicago
Bears didn't do that with Justin Fields.

Speaker 4 (10:39):
A blind man can see that they tried, but it
was a bit late. Yeah, no, they didn't.

Speaker 6 (10:46):
They the players weren't available for the Chicago I mean, hey,
the players weren't available.

Speaker 5 (10:51):
They didn't do it. However you want to frame it.

Speaker 4 (10:54):
He didn't have what he did not have what Caleb
Williams has that that's a factuy.

Speaker 6 (11:02):
So so the Chicago Bears basically they just without saying it,
they came out and sent subliminal message to people like
us who understand it that, uh, we got it wrong
when we drafted Justin fields is basically what they said.

Speaker 5 (11:17):
But it is a different it's a different uh general manager.

Speaker 4 (11:23):
I don't believe Ryan Poe's drafted uh Justin fields. And
so it's a different, different GM. And so when you
when you look at it from that perspective, hey, you
you can't. You cannot fault the Bears and Ryan Pauk
what they're doing.

Speaker 5 (11:43):
You you can. You gotta applaud them.

Speaker 4 (11:46):
A rookie quarterback with teas receivers like that, that's you
don't see that.

Speaker 3 (11:54):
I'm gonna say this I think it sounds good. I
don't know that Keenan Allen will stay healthy. Do is
say he's going to have to adjust and adapt to
being a pro which may not be too hard, but
he may or may not.

Speaker 7 (12:07):
Pick it up, may not pick it up. I don't know.
A rookie is a rookie.

Speaker 3 (12:11):
I think outside of outside of Pennix having the opportunity
to sit and learn and and have time and see
how things are going to shape up with Raheem Morris
and that team and JJ McCarthy with the type of
weapons that he does have that isn't in question at all.

(12:31):
I think the rest of them are in for a
tough road. I think it's going to be a tough
I think it's going to be a turbulent situation for
Caleb Williams. I think it's going to be a turbulent
situation for for the rest of them, for for Drake
may Like in New England, I think that's that's that's turbulent.

Speaker 7 (12:49):
There's turbulence here.

Speaker 3 (12:51):
I just think that they're going to all have their
hands full with having the type of success that they're
gonna want, and that the city, the fans, the team
is going to want for them.

Speaker 7 (13:00):
I just think that.

Speaker 3 (13:01):
It's a it's it's an aberration to think that you're
going to have a team that's as that does what
what they were able to do with the Miko and
Houston this past year. It's just that's I think that's
the outlier. I don't I don't think we see that.
So it's going to be interesting to see through it.

Speaker 5 (13:21):
He's specially c J. Stroud.

Speaker 7 (13:24):
But six, these six guys are special to righte.

Speaker 4 (13:27):
Hey, well, hey, we all know I want I want
to special A six quarterbacks drafted in the top fifteen.
We've never seen it happen, and we don't know who
it's going to be, but the odds tell us at
probably two to three are going to be bus We

(13:49):
just don't know who it's going to be because we
don't know the situation, how how the development is. Yes,
always it's always at now and if all of them great,
and this.

Speaker 5 (14:01):
Is a rare.

Speaker 3 (14:03):
They talk about Jim Kelly and Dan Marino, and I
know we got to get to a break because we
got to bring cups on. But they talk about the
Jim Kelly draft with Dan Marino, and I think there
was one more du Troy Aikman. That was a hell
of a draft for quarterbacks. I mean, does this have
that potent? Just real quickly because we got to get
the break, but real quickly, do you think these six

(14:25):
out of those six, do you think that this is
that type of draft where you know, like two three
of them become Hall of Fame caliber quarterbacks.

Speaker 4 (14:33):
I mean, if you if you look at the organizations,
you would say.

Speaker 7 (14:41):
No.

Speaker 4 (14:42):
But you say this a few years ago about the
Detroit LIONSY and look where they're going now. And so
if the structure is right, anything is possible. I like
what Ryan Poe's and the Chicago Bears are doing. I
really do. They're giving this. They're giving Caleb Williams every
opportunity to be successful.

Speaker 5 (15:01):
And so you just don't know.

Speaker 4 (15:05):
When you come to the National Football League, man, these
are grown men. You got to eat, sleep, and breed football.
It has to consume your life for the most part,
but you also have to get away from it and
the guys that can handle it, the the failures, because
we love the successes. Can you handle the failure and

(15:25):
can you still believe in yourself? Can you still have
that confidence in yourself when you fail? That's the key
super quick.

Speaker 6 (15:33):
Plex never had to deal with failure, man, But I
can imagine. I remember what depressure of going going into
a situation and having to be able to perform right
away because I started my first game when I went
into campus a rookie. So trust me, I know what
those young men are feeling. I've never had to do

(15:55):
your opportunity to fail. I had the opportunity to fail,
but I didn't. But uh yeah, man, it's a lot
of those young men. I was wishing the best.

Speaker 7 (16:05):
All right.

Speaker 3 (16:05):

Speaker 9 (17:36):
All right, fellas, let's catch you up before we get
to the NFL draft. Big news out of the NBA
with TNT reporting that Milwaukee buckstar Damian Lillard has been
diagnosed with a Grade one Achille strain and is doubtful
for Game four of the playoffs tomorrow at Indiana, with
the Pacers leading the series. Two games to one. We

(17:57):
have a Game four going on right now from Orlando,
with the Cleveland Cavaliers holding an eighteen to eleven lead
over the Magic three and a half left to play
in the first quarter, Cleveland leading that series two games
to one. And now on to Round four of the
NFL Draft. We'll pick it back up where we left you.

(18:19):
The thirteenth pick of the fourth round at one hundred
and thirteen overall, the Baltimore Ravens drafting North Carolina receiver
Davontes Walker. That was followed by the Jacksonville Jaguars selecting
Missouri offensive tackle Javon Foster. Then it was the Cincinnati
Bengals at one hundred and fifteen overall, drafting Iowa tight

(18:42):
end Eric all So. Another tight end from Iowa goes
to the NFL. The Jacksonville Jaguars then drafting LSU defensive
tackle Jordan Jefferson, the Indianapolis Colts selecting Wisconsin center Tanner Bordelini,
then the Seattle Seahawks drafting utev linebacker Tyresee Knight. That

(19:03):
was followed by the Steelers selecting South Dakota State offensive
guard Mason McCormick. The Dolphins drafting Tennessee running back Jalen Wright,
Seattle Seahawks selecting Michigan tight end A J. Barner within
had a punter take in at one twenty two overall,
Iowa's punter Tory Taylor drafted by the Chicago Bears, the

(19:24):
Houston Texans selecting Ohio State tight end Kate cade Stover,
then the forty nine Ers, the defending NFC champions drafting
Wake fourt safety Malik Moustafa, and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers
drafting Oregon running back Bucky Irvin. So that is one, two, three, four,

(19:45):
five Oregon Ducks being drafted already today in the fourth
round alone, including Troy Franklin, who the Broncos selected at
one h two overall, reuniting him with Bone Knicks Fellas.

Speaker 7 (19:58):
Back to you, thanks, Isaac lohing Crown.

Speaker 3 (20:02):
Enjoy your day, my guy. Uh yeah, it's that time.
Speaking of basketball and NBA, let's bring him in.

Speaker 1 (20:12):
Now it's time to check in with cuffs. The legend
from some dude show podcast on Game Presents is giving
you a spicy takes on what's going down to take
the heat like lebron and now here's cuffs. The legend,
it's cold time.

Speaker 3 (20:37):
Should we call him brooms sweeping?

Speaker 5 (20:43):
I never thought I've seen to day. I never thought
i'd seen it today, that.

Speaker 6 (20:49):
They lost ages Lakers with the team has a roster
Lebron James and Anthony Davis, that they will be on
the brink of being swept. And you guys, are.

Speaker 5 (21:04):
You guys just gonna talk trash? That's what y'all doing,
not talking trash?

Speaker 6 (21:07):
Okay, okay, hold on, hey, hold on, hold on, hold on,
hold on, hold on.

Speaker 7 (21:14):
We got cups of legend and on the show.

Speaker 4 (21:17):
You heard the opening here it is, didn't even let
the man, didn't even let the man say a word,
just talking trash.

Speaker 5 (21:23):
All right, go ahead, go ahead, cup.

Speaker 7 (21:26):
Hey, welcome into the show.

Speaker 3 (21:28):
Cups, you and t J, y'all take it away because
me and Plexico we're coming.

Speaker 7 (21:31):
In hot today, So go ahead, go ahead.

Speaker 3 (21:35):
You gotta be careful when you say broomsticks and all
that stuff too, you know, no, Diddy, you know what
I mean.

Speaker 7 (21:39):
Go ahead, go ahead, cuffs.

Speaker 2 (21:42):
I remember you'll remember the famous David Chappelle's get what
they said? The haters have arrived. The haters have a
real I'm wearing all black, right, now I got I
got black, got black because funeral tonight.

Speaker 10 (22:01):
Man, I'm gonna break down to y'all wild we even
in this situation and a lot of people are going
to point the blame, Well, what had happened was, Yeah,
a lot.

Speaker 2 (22:18):
Of people gonna point the blame at Darvin Ham, and
rightfully so, the worst coach. He is the worst coach
in the National Basketball Association. But blame is really going
to go on the person that I've been pointing out
and calling out way back in November. If y'all remember
when I said you won't fool me.

Speaker 5 (22:38):
I told you y'all.

Speaker 2 (22:42):
Exactly the point guard for the Lakers. I'm not even
calling his name anymore. I don't even want to say
his name no more publicly. The point guard for the
La Lakers with zero points in Game three and the
biggest moment when you folded last year against the Nuggets, Right,
you volded last year, So we didn't care what he
did the whole season because we wanted to see what
he was going to do. What's D'Angelo Russ is going

(23:03):
to show improve against the Nuggets this year in this
series and he has not shown up. Lebron has shown up.
Ad has scored thirty and three straight games in this series.
Ad has played very well against Jokis. You can't blame
Ad no more. You can't blame Lebron no more. To
blame is going on the shoulders of the starting point
guard for thelmaker.

Speaker 5 (23:23):
Hey cus, let me jumping here for fire. Everybody look
is jumping here for a minute.

Speaker 6 (23:29):
What did y'all really expect for d Angelo Russell to
do when he joined this team?

Speaker 5 (23:34):
What has de lo been his whole career score?

Speaker 6 (23:37):
You can't just expect for this man to join this
team with Anthony Davidson Lebron James, where we know that
he's the alpha. He basically does what he wants to do.
He can take him a basketball game with whenever he
wants to. This teammates what he wants to. Now let's
get back to dolphin him. I don't know you do
what you said, but I will tell you this. Uh,

(24:00):
Austin Reeves has been the problem, one of the major
problems for this loss a basketball team because for one
old defense.

Speaker 5 (24:09):
Who is he going to guard? He can't guard Aplex?
Can I interrupt you real quick? Yeah?

Speaker 4 (24:16):
So you know game three right? You bring up Austin Reeves,
You're wrong. Anthony Davis had thirty three points. Lebron James
had twenty six points, Austin Reeves had twenty two.

Speaker 6 (24:28):
Yeah, we're talking about on the defensive side.

Speaker 4 (24:33):
Else had more than eight points. Nobody else had more
than understand what points.

Speaker 6 (24:39):
But when it comes down to it in a crunch
time situation, Austin Reeves cannot guard nobody on his basketball team.

Speaker 5 (24:47):
You act like D'Angelo Russell can.

Speaker 4 (24:49):
At least Austin Reeves is given us some points, He's
given us production. D'Angelo Russell can play no defense and
he can't score a point.

Speaker 5 (24:57):
Bro Listen, that's the problem.

Speaker 6 (24:59):
You the Los Angeles Lakers and Darvin Ham, and you're
looking at this roster that the Denver Nuggets have.

Speaker 5 (25:06):
You have to say one thing. Joker's going to get
his points. Jamal Murray is going to get his points.
But when you.

Speaker 6 (25:13):
Allow the Joker to get thirty of Jamal Murray get
twenty five and you allow Michael Porter Junior to get
twenty five, you.

Speaker 5 (25:21):
Got a problem.

Speaker 4 (25:22):
And that's why your focus extensively. That's what Joe said,
what he said about less Ham.

Speaker 6 (25:29):
Let's take Mike Michael Porter Junior out of this basketball
game because he is the one that is killing us
on a defensive end and threes in transition, making transition baskets.
Y'all need to focus on that young man right there,
kind of take him out of this basketball game.

Speaker 4 (25:45):
As carunching and game planning. But this is what it is.
That is a better basketball team than you guys. Man,
flat out that's it.

Speaker 7 (25:53):
That's what.

Speaker 5 (25:53):
Flat out you can't.

Speaker 2 (25:56):
The Lakers, bro. The Lakers have dominated the first three
games in the first half.

Speaker 5 (26:01):
They were in the first half.

Speaker 6 (26:03):
But you know what differ is, hey come out in
the third quarter and they're gonna play, and they're gonna
play that best basketball.

Speaker 4 (26:09):
Lakers get eliminated and I ain't watching the NBA playoffs
no more.

Speaker 5 (26:13):
So they eliminated. I'm done the Los Angeles Lakers. Just
like you said. It looks like you said the Los
Angeles Legs.

Speaker 6 (26:19):
They come out the first, first and second quarter of
those basketball games in Denvil, they come out, they're running
up and down the court.

Speaker 5 (26:25):
Come third or fourth quarter.

Speaker 4 (26:26):
The time, Hey, we get slapped in the face in
the first game is not a foul. I didn't know
you could smack somebody, but being up twenty and both
get the game on and game two and you still
lose the basketball game, no excuse, then.

Speaker 2 (26:44):
Twenty we can we just move on from the Lakers
because it's gonna be a timon sweet. I think, I think,
I honestly think Lebron is not gonna get swept two
years in a row. So Lebron, He's gonna rise up tonight.
I think that rise up tonight. It's gonna be a
gentleman sweep. So I want to look forward to the

(27:05):
next round because the Phoenix Sun they about to get
the same get the funeral, and.

Speaker 6 (27:09):
This all goes back, and this all goes This all
goes back towards last year when Mark Malone and Lebron
James was going out in the media. Lebron Jane was
saying slow down as always next year, and Malone was
poking at Lebron and Los Angeles Lakers and beating them.
And now they're on the brink of being swept, in

(27:30):
which they will be.

Speaker 5 (27:32):
So the King will not rise up this evening.

Speaker 3 (27:36):
All I simply want to say, Wooker, Booker and KD
the next series.

Speaker 2 (27:43):
The Timberwolves are the only team in the Western Conference.
Who matches up with those Nuggets because they have the
front line we go there. Kar Anthony Towns is back healthy,
No Red is the sixth man of the Year. And
as I've said on this program already, if ant Man

(28:03):
turns into two thousand and six Dwayne Wade like he
showed us last night, because Devin Booker, you're no longer
in the conversation as the best two guard in the league,
ant Man will be starting. Ant Man will be starting
at shooting guard in the Olympics in Paris. He is
the best shooting guard in the world. And if ant
Man can continue to elevate his game like he's doing

(28:24):
against Phoenix, I'm telling you the Timberwolves are the only
team that stands in the way of the Nuggets repeating.
And I think Dallas, Dallas gonna beat the Clippers because
Luca and Kyrie is too much. Daniel Gafford, the PJ Washington,
all those guys playing well. The Thunder they looking good
right now. They're gonna get pastor Pelicans. I'm already looking
ahead to the next round.

Speaker 6 (28:44):
I'm telling y'all, I'm disappointed in Phoenix and where they are.
I thought there was gonna be a lot better with
the with the additional Bradley Bill. But let's cuist to
the Eastern Conference cuff, because I remember when I had
you on this telecast, just this show. You came out
and said you was Bolton Celtics.

Speaker 5 (29:05):
Gonna do this.

Speaker 7 (29:06):
They gonna do that.

Speaker 5 (29:07):
They are Eastern Coast.

Speaker 2 (29:08):
They still are they are.

Speaker 6 (29:10):
How can you explain them losing at home Butler's Miami
Heat basketball team? I told you that Brown is gonna
be the you want to be the player. Why the
Boston Celtics would not win the Eastern Conference.

Speaker 5 (29:29):
I'm telling that one.

Speaker 2 (29:30):
That's one. That's one hiccup. World champions haven't hit that
ain't no hiccup. All I'm saying is bro hiccup. I'm
not looking at that loss. I'm not taking nothing but
that loss. That they're gonna beat this. They're gonna beat
the Miami Heat in probably five games. Right, the Celtics
are going to be in an Eastern Conference. What you
need to be worried about is the Milwaukee Bucks are done.

Speaker 5 (29:52):
It's a rat.

Speaker 2 (29:53):
Not only not only are the Bucks done this year,
it's time. It's time to blow it up in Milwaukee
because We've seen Da with the injury he suffered, Achilles injury, strainers, Achilles.
They're they're the Indiana Pacers, Parry Taliverton Miles turning those
guys Kham. They're a bad matchup for them anyway, even
with Gianni's and now with Gianni's out, No.

Speaker 6 (30:15):
Come onto, you don't believe that, bro, Bro, do you
see the game?

Speaker 2 (30:19):
Do you watch the bad.

Speaker 5 (30:21):
Matchup with come on?

Speaker 2 (30:22):
Manated those guys in the regular season with Giannis on
the floor, and now Jannie is gone. Fast forward to this,
We're getting the Celtics in the Eastern Conference Finals. The
Celtics are gonna win the East. I mean, look at it,
the Knicks and the Knicks are decent, but the Knicks
can probably get past the Sixers because Joel is dealing

(30:43):
with I think.

Speaker 5 (30:44):
It said yeah, because Joel is not healthy.

Speaker 2 (30:48):
So we're we're getting Celtish in the finals. It's gonna
be Celtics Nuggets more more than likely. But all I'm
simply saying is keep your eyes on the timber Bolve
because and Danny Edwards is elevating his game just like
I saw d Wade do in six I'm telling y'all
he is he last night was a turning point for

(31:09):
him in his career. He's only twenty four to twenty
five years old. Bro to go into Phoenix last night
and do that to Kevin Durant and you saw him
talking spiky to KD. What I'm saying is, Bro, we're
witnessing what we call, we always say, passing the torch
right down three to oh, hold On Lebron, down three
to oh, KD is down three to oh. Steph Curry

(31:30):
already in can kun. These young guys a man, Bro,
a man, Jason Tatum, Luka Donnas, Shay, Gilgus, Alexander this
is their time, is all I'm saying, Yokic, this is
their time. So we're witnessing a change of the guard.
That's what I think we're witnessing overall in the NBA
right now. The old heads, the old heads, the trip

(31:52):
like the tires are starting to show that that tread
like it's they have nothing left.

Speaker 5 (31:58):
Bro, I believe I agree with you and that I agree.

Speaker 7 (32:04):
Listen, that's cuts the legend right there.

Speaker 3 (32:07):
You got any any is that your is that your
profound ending to this this ridiculously funny segment.

Speaker 7 (32:15):
Of how the old heads is.

Speaker 3 (32:18):
Gonna be in can't comb as the reunion of Coocon
has some old ass men that can't get it done
anymore against these young boys?

Speaker 7 (32:26):
Is this it for you?

Speaker 4 (32:27):
Cut before we take a team game, guys as a
team with Lebron and a du.

Speaker 2 (32:38):
As y'all on Instagram, I've already entered the transfer portal,
like I'm.

Speaker 7 (32:44):
You need to take with you y'all.

Speaker 3 (32:46):
Need'll need to post a letter, y'all need to go
to the portal.

Speaker 4 (32:49):
Hey if y'all hey that hey, that had me dying
when I saw it.

Speaker 2 (32:54):
I'm already I've already, I've already told myself Bron has years. Well,
I'm gonna say this publicly, what greatness. I'm gonna say
this publicly right now. It is time for Lebron to
get out of LA and I'm gonna tell you why.

(33:15):
It's malpractice. Rob Polinka has done a terrible job. He
hired Listen Bro, he hired Darvin Ham. That's the faithal mistake.
He hired Darvin Ham. It's time Lebron to go to
New York, New York, New York.

Speaker 4 (33:32):
That's what I'm telling you think and Lebron need the
ball Jaylen Brunson need the ball.

Speaker 5 (33:39):
I don't know and random.

Speaker 2 (33:41):
When he came at this stage, at this stage Lebron's career,
he don't want to carry the team. I know that personally,
he don't want to carry he he doesn't want to
be the number one guy on certain nights. Yes, but
like you've seen it now, he can't be the best
player on your team. And he's thirty nine. He needs
a lot of Hey.

Speaker 5 (34:00):
Hey, chus, what you just said? Uh New York, New York.

Speaker 6 (34:04):
Who you think is having a better sais Jalen brussel O, Tarvis.

Speaker 2 (34:06):
Maxi, Russ Bruton struggled the first couple of games, but
he's starting to So I would put my money on
I mean, I like both of those guys, but I
would put my money on Brunt him because he's a
home run hitter, he's a closer. But I think that
series going seven because the home court advantages, Like most
teams have a raucous crowd. You've seen the crowd in
Phield the other night. I think it's going seven. We're

(34:28):
gonna get a game seven in the guarden. You can
mark that Game seven in the garden.

Speaker 3 (34:34):
That's cuts the legend. Some dudes show up on game Network.
You can find him on i G. He is a
great follow so you want to follow him and check
him out. As you heard, he is in the transfer
portal away from the lake. Everybody just wishing well. Go
on there wishing well. He's he took a year too

(34:56):
long to enter the portal. But you know what, never
late that, never to late.

Speaker 7 (35:03):
We're gonna we're gonna take a quick breaking. On the
other side, we're gonna wrap it up.

Speaker 3 (35:06):
And speaking of the La Lakers, there's a guy that's
from well, he's from.

Speaker 5 (35:10):
San Diego, but he's a LA he was he was.

Speaker 3 (35:12):
A USC player. Uh got his trophy back. I'm gonna
get the reactions from from stretching pantea man. On the
other side of the break, you're listening to up on
game Fox Sports Radio. We'll be right, all right, all right,
all right. I hope you guys enjoyed the show. We
are in the tyrack dot com studio. Did you miss anything.

Speaker 7 (35:33):
Just make sure you go check out the podcast.

Speaker 3 (35:35):
It's going to go up right after immediately after the
show is over, and you'll be able to stay tuned
in and listen to Jonas Knox to Jonas Knox show
coming up immediately following ours, but before we get up
out of here, obviously, the news broke this week that
former NFL and college great Reggie Bush would be getting

(36:01):
his Heisman returned back to him, reinstated as the rightful
winner of that. How you guys feel about how you
guys feel about Edgie Bush getting his trophy back and
being in a scenario where he can now say, you know,
it's maybe solidified his college career and what he was

(36:25):
able to accomplish.

Speaker 5 (36:28):
For for me is long overdue.

Speaker 4 (36:30):
I felt like he should have been They should have
been given his Heisman trophy back, man, Like everybody knew
when they took it it was bs and now with
the nil and all that, it's like, come on, man,
the NCAA has been a terribly run organization from when

(36:52):
we were playing, and it was just getting worse and
worse and worse.

Speaker 5 (36:55):
And now.

Speaker 4 (36:57):
That I mean, they really owe us reparations. They being
oled Reggie Bush his reparations and giving that Heisman trophy
back because you think about, look at all the money
that they cost him by doing what they did. And
so I'm happy. I'm happy he has his Heisman Trophy back.

Speaker 7 (37:13):
Man.

Speaker 4 (37:13):
I just saw Reggie bush Man last weekend and kicked
it with him for a little while.

Speaker 7 (37:18):
Man.

Speaker 4 (37:18):
So for him to get what he rightfully earned on
that field, he earned that on the field, I'm happy
for him.

Speaker 7 (37:27):
Man.

Speaker 6 (37:28):
What I don't understand about it is that why I
took the Housmand Trophy, you know, association to to wait
so long, Because from what I understand, the Heisman Trophy
is not associated with the nc DOUBLE at all. It's
a certain separate entity. So if I believe that they
were just following suit with the rules, that or the

(37:50):
uh the what do your sinctions that they put on
register bush to take away his Heisman trophy. If you're
if you were the Heisman Trophy and you're your own
separate entity, not separated, not you know, partner with the NCAA,
then why wouldn't you have issued him his Heisman trophy
back a long time ago.

Speaker 5 (38:09):
That's the right. I have problem with it.

Speaker 3 (38:11):
But let me put this in front of y'all because
there are some people out there that are saying, but.

Speaker 7 (38:16):
He did break the rules.

Speaker 3 (38:19):
Now, I don't know the details of the story in
terms of what his involvement was versus his family's involvement
in it.

Speaker 7 (38:28):
I'm not sure on all of those details.

Speaker 3 (38:30):
A lot of people say, why didn't Reggie Bush ever
confess or clear it up that this was his role
in it, this is what he had going on. There
are a lot of people that felt as though maybe
maybe he wasn't deserving of getting his heisman back because
while the rules have changed now, the rules were the
rules when he was playing, and he and apparently he

(38:53):
broke them.

Speaker 7 (38:53):
To the stent where they took his heisman. What would
y'all say to that?

Speaker 4 (38:59):
I just felt like the rules back then were they
weren't right there. There's no way that you can play golf, tennis,
and these other sports and make money off of yourself,
but you can't play football and basketball make money off yourself.

(39:20):
Like I didn't understand that that is his name.

Speaker 7 (39:23):
If he can make broke broke in college.

Speaker 4 (39:27):
Broke eating to eating top ramen every day and adding
baloney and all like spam sandwiches, Like it's crazy what
you go through as a college athlete.

Speaker 7 (39:37):
And so I still like spam sandwiches.

Speaker 4 (39:39):
I would never eat another one. I ate so like
a hot dog. Spam never will ever you could pay
me to eat any of that. I ate so much
some baloney, sandwiches, hot dog spam man, I ate so
much of that in my life. I'm done. But for
Reggie Bush, you can say the rules, were this the
rules or that? Obviously they weren't the career rules. In

(40:00):
a lot of people eyes, a lot and soul, you
can say, oh, these were the rules, they weren't the
right rules.

Speaker 6 (40:09):
Last word, plex quick hey man, Reggie Bush, congratulations.

Speaker 7 (40:25):
Hey. For what is worth?

Speaker 3 (40:27):
I mean, for good or for bad, whichever side it
falls on, it is what it is.

Speaker 7 (40:32):
I don't know.

Speaker 3 (40:32):
He's still suing defamation and character against the n c
a A. I'm interested to see how that all turns out.
But Reggie Bush is a personal friend. I'm glad he
got his his reinstatement back.

Speaker 7 (40:45):
And we'll be able to move on.

Speaker 3 (40:46):
As you mentioned TJ, a lot of opportunities come with
having that that hardware and that distinction. Now he gets
to have it back, so good for him, good for
his family. His kids get to buy into the legacy
and be a part of that legacy.

Speaker 7 (41:00):
So I appreciate him.

Speaker 3 (41:02):
I appreciate people, you know, giving him that that that
opportunity back. So anyways, JKS next, hope you enjoyed the show,
Enjoy your weekend.

Speaker 7 (41:12):
We're out of here.
