Speaker 1 (00:00):
This is up on Game Presents Conversations with a Legend
with LeVar Errington, and LeVar is sitting down with some
of the legends you have watched on and off the field.
This is up on Game Presents Conversations with a Legend.

(00:24):
And now here's LeVar Errington.

Speaker 2 (00:28):
What's up?

Speaker 3 (00:28):
Everybody's LeVar Arrington here and this is the pivot that's right.
Welcome into the show. My name is LeVar Arrington. I'm
filling in for Ryan Clark. I'm filling it for Tanning Crowder.
You know why, because I got the star of the
show to for real, for real, to start the show.

Speaker 2 (00:45):
I got Fred Taylor.

Speaker 4 (00:47):
With me right here. Man, what's going on? My gosh,
I'm always good to see you, Lesendary. Man. Look, man,
I am not anywhere near close to being a star, no, man, honestly,
I disclaimer. Tenning Crowder is the start, too funny, Ben
is certainly to start, and Ryan's Ryan is.

Speaker 5 (01:06):
Due.

Speaker 4 (01:06):
He puts in a lot of work at his craft, man,
and he takes it so serious.

Speaker 2 (01:10):
Man.

Speaker 5 (01:11):
I'm thankful to have both of them.

Speaker 3 (01:13):
This is the Conversations with Allegend up on Game all right,
Fox Sports Radio. I am LeVar Arrington. That is Fred Taylor,
the great Fred Taylor from Florida. He's Florida Gator. Had
an amazing career in the league and most notably with
the Jacksonville Jaguars. And before we even get going into
the conversation, they're announcing the finalists tonight, that the ones

(01:36):
who will come in to the Hall of Fame.

Speaker 2 (01:39):
If it ain't tonight, it better be at some point.

Speaker 3 (01:41):
I'm gonna keep ringing the bell that my number one
guy that should be in the Hall of Fame that
is not there yet, it is Fred Taylor.

Speaker 2 (01:51):
I continue to ring that bell and I will continue.

Speaker 3 (01:53):
To put it out there, hopefully until it becomes a reality.

Speaker 2 (01:58):
How you feeling, man, How you feel about that?

Speaker 3 (02:00):
Because that's like, that's one of those things where if
you've worked hard enough to deserve that distinction, you should
give a man his flowers while he's here. And you
have certainly and in so many ways, have earned the
right to claim that title and get a bus.

Speaker 2 (02:19):
What what's what's your feeling on it?

Speaker 4 (02:21):
Well, first of all, I appreciate your sentiment, you know,
I appreciate you. Always respected you as a person and
a player, and I don't know if you're saying that
because of the numbers I put up against you your
freshman year.

Speaker 3 (02:32):
Oh it's still a record, isn't it.

Speaker 2 (02:35):
I think it's still a record.

Speaker 5 (02:36):
Both the carries in the yard. It's just crazy.

Speaker 2 (02:39):
Said they should have played me more because I was
the only one that wanted.

Speaker 4 (02:42):
To hit you that day, and you you certainly did.
You almost knocked me out the game. So I missed
a few plays after that attempted cut block. I didn't
even though, like this guy's a freshman, yeah man. But yeah,
so that that whole process, you know, I understand the process. Yeah,
I understand my first time finalist, Uh so, the chances
are very slim as the first time final You have

(03:03):
guys in the Tory hole, you know, Reggie, Wayne, they've
been in that final four or five years or more,
and a few other guys too, So I don't expect
myself to just trump those guys. When you make that
final fifteen, everyone's getting in. Everyone's deserving. You gonna get it.
And the big thing, LeVar is that there is no real,
you know, foundational criteria, like what is it? So what

(03:27):
that does is it sends it over, It kicks it
over to a subjective category and not saying there are
certain biases.

Speaker 5 (03:35):
But the selectors have elected time, like if they have
a hard.

Speaker 4 (03:39):
Time saying these fifteen guys, he can do this, he
did this, He did this, He did this a guy
who has had an amazing year under the radar. Unless
you're a football fan, you know better. London Fletcher wasn't
he a finals? He had twenty one hundred tackles right
there with Ray right in the Finally, so it's about

(04:00):
getting that room, letting them hear the conversation, your presenter
presenting your case. And I have a strong case in
my opinion, Yes you do. I think it lacks some
some probos. But if we want to weigh it on that,
then again, what's the criteria that's that's an issue. And
but yeah, the process is the process. It'll handle itself,
it'll sort itself out. I'm on God's timing. Indeed, whatever

(04:23):
is clock says, we'll manage it that way.

Speaker 3 (04:26):
Sometimes it gains difficult the further away you get from
being an active player, because it's like out of sight,
out of mind. But one thing that has happened for
certain for you is you have had a re.

Speaker 2 (04:38):
Emergence of sorts.

Speaker 3 (04:41):
It first started with you guys doing I'll say the
Other Show because that's what I will say. Well, you know,
we'll say, but the Other Show really really was a
springboard for your brand to re emerge. Who would ever thought,
whatever happens there ends up being the next stop to

(05:03):
create the pivot, and the pivot.

Speaker 2 (05:06):
Becomes a phenomenon.

Speaker 3 (05:09):
So it has to be the talent that you and
Channing had brought to the table and now being teamed
up with RC with Ryan Clark doing that show, I mean,
how you got like, maybe you can't explain that the
phenomenon of it, But maybe you can't. You're a cerebral dude.

(05:30):
You've always been a super intellectual dude. Can you explain
the phenomenon of what the pivot is and how that
came about?

Speaker 4 (05:37):
Well, I mean, I think with the Other show, I'm athlete.
Obviously it was a great product starting out, we just
didn't go that extra step because we were just buddies.
You know, we were just buddies doing something in the
middle of the pandemic, which was perfect timing, and you
know that sort of just kind of fell apart because
of some business issues and then we had we said, hey,

(05:58):
we got a pivot. We got a pivot. So we
reached out to Ryan who we had known and tending
and myself. We decided to go with Alisha, who's the
producer from.

Speaker 5 (06:08):
The other show. She has twelve thirteen emmys from NFL Fanis,
so she's a beast that what she does. She's like,
all right, let's let's create a team. You know.

Speaker 4 (06:18):
We got sat down, said all right, what's going to
be the name? And I said, let's call it the pivot.
That's what we're doing, you know, except just move forward.
That's so, and that's what we all decided to do.
I got it, I got you, I got your merch.
I got merch. Actually back in the room, we're doing
some stuff over right area. But yeah, so we understood
the uh, the importantness of relationships, you know, much like

(06:42):
the reason I'm here today working with Crown Royal. Have
a relationship in a partnership with them that I've been
a part of. Talk about talk about it. So yeah,
so Crown roy is an amazing company, as you know, is
a great brand.

Speaker 3 (06:57):
That's part of our culture, our community. Better Royal, that's
that oil.

Speaker 5 (07:02):
You're not Crown Royal Oil. You better believe it, but no.

Speaker 4 (07:06):
Last night we were at the NFL social celebration, I
was able to present to Nate Brothers in a lifetime achievement.

Speaker 3 (07:15):
Killing.

Speaker 4 (07:15):
Yeah, it's amazing And on behalf of Crown, they donated
to Nate's favorite charity in Michigan.

Speaker 5 (07:22):
A big bag twenty five k.

Speaker 4 (07:24):
So that was amazing for the company to be that
considering and thoughtful for Nate's one of his initiatives to
support the veterans. So so understanding relationships, it helps you
build yourself up, you know, it makes you selfless to
make sure you're able to give back in the pivot.

Speaker 5 (07:43):
That's what we do.

Speaker 4 (07:44):
You know, we meet and we take it serious like
it's our business, our company. We own all the IP
it's us. So we wanted to be reflective of us,
you know, we want to give back. Just taking the
time to be observant in the conversation. Whatever is Ryan
is saying, how he's setting us up. He's the driver channing,

(08:05):
he's always you never know what you're gonna get, but
he's always gonna be here. And myself, I try to
meet everyone in the middle and kind of settle it
game from you know, my view on things. So at
the end of the day, we want to make sure
it's a great product, that the content is always real,
it's not scripted. We say, hey, we're gonna let's talk

(08:28):
about this. We connect and that's the conversation. But it's
if we lead with the fan in mind, always in
the forefront.

Speaker 3 (08:35):
Make sure y'all check out the pivot. That's Fred Taylor,
the goat, the soon to be Hall of Famer. He
better be a Hall of Famer, y'all. All right, I
appreciate you, bro, keep supporting him. Hey, follow it on
I g the pivot. Follow it on YouTube is on
YouTube YouTube. That's spot spot. That's the big landing spot.

(08:57):
That's the people that's cutting the check, you know, for
what they got going on, because they probably got a
gazillion people watching the show. This is up on game
conversations with the legend. I am LeVar Harington. Stay tuned.

Speaker 2 (09:10):
It doesn't get any bigger than Fred Taylor.

Speaker 3 (09:11):
But I'll tell you what, We're still gonna have some conversations.
That's right, y'all. Be well, we'll be back
