Every day, you know, you always got to keep that
perspective and just the way I came in. I carry
that with me every day in my approach and just
you know, having that trip on my shoulder. I think
more as the years go by now, like I'm just
seeing the impact that it's having on other guys that's
coming into the league after me. So every team, whether
I'm on or we playing against, it's always like three

or four guys that's either two way players or they
trying to make the team, or whatever the case. Maybe
they all use my story as a source of motivation.
So that's probably like the coolest part for me.

whole first seven years in Toronto in a cold weather city.
I know it's a great city. I went there a

but now you're that guy. It's like you're gonna be
in that role now with the young guys. How excited

And it's a fresh start, you know, so it's an
even bigger role for me, you know. Definitely a challenge
with all the young guys that we got, but we
got some really good young talent, and I think that's

and being able to be a part of these young guys' journey,

I've seen and what I've experienced with them to try
to help them along along the way. I remember being,
you know, in that same spot, maybe not nineteen twenty
twenty one like these guys are, but just you know,
a young player and trying to figure it out and
just you know, wide eyed and not really knowing what's

going on. I think, you know, I can be a
big help for a lot of these guys.

And one of those guys, Bro, I've been watching I've
been seeing him in the lab. I think you were
in the lab with him a little this summer. I've
seen him with KD a lot, like Jalen Green. Bro,
Like he I think he's on the cusp of making
that leak this year. Like, how excited are you to
play with him? Because he's so dynamic on the ball
and off ball.

Yeah, it's that time for him, you know, it's that
time every time we talk. You know, he's just tired
of losing. He wants to change the narrative around him.
He works extremely hard, I mean, gifted, probably one of
the top talents in the league, especially you know for
the young guys. So I'm just looking forward to being
able to help him and you know, make the game
easier for him and show him a little tricks and

things like that that I've learned along the way.

But just being there as as.

A big brother mentor, and you know, also being there
to help his game and just make his life on

of young kids now don't seem to have that same like,
like not even this dog mentality, but that winner's mentality.

young age.

Yeah, no doubt, he's a he's a killer man and
he's a he's a dog man. I think, you know,
you can get put in different situations, and obviously the
situation that he's been in the last couple of years
is you know, tough for a young kid to come into.
But if you go all the way back, like and
just watch him, you know, from his high school day
au or that that was, you know, the G League team, Like,

he's an attack more at all times. He's you know,
super duper talent, and so far I've seen nothing that
that gives me any idea other thing. He's going to
be a huge part of, you know, a winning team.
It's just a matter of win.

What are you most excited about about playing with, not
just playing with, but playing for a co like Udoka hard,
nos gritty, like his coaching style, I feel like matches
the intensity of your plan style. So I know you
got to be thrilled and ready to like to go
to war with Udoka every night.

Yeah, that was one of the biggest, you know reasons
for me to choose Houston was you know, me just
being able to talk to him and kind of pick
his brain and see what he wanted to do and
like understand his vision. And I think at every level
of every team I've been on, I've been an extension
of the coach. So I think this would be no different.
I think it's going to be extremely you know, good

for me and for him because that's kind of just
the way I play as an extension of the coach,
and he's one of the top coaches in the league,
you know, by far. So I'm just looking forward to
learning and you know, learning each other and uh going
out there and then you know, I got to try
to bring the rest of these guys along.

I watched him a lot of night, Sagoon and Tari
easton bro Tar East like he is. I've seen him
at the Seattle program in person last summer when bron

I'm on or we playing against, it's always like three

or four guys that's either two way players or they

big help for a lot of these guys.

been seeing him in the lab. I think you were
in the lab with him a little this summer. I've

Like he I think he's on the cusp of making
that leak this year. Like, how excited are you to
play with him? Because he's so dynamic on the ball
and off ball.

Yeah, it's that time for him, you know, it's that
time every time we talk. You know, he's just tired
of losing. He wants to change the narrative around him.
He works extremely hard, I mean, gifted, probably one of
the top talents in the league, especially you know for
the young guys. So I'm just looking forward to being
able to help him and you know, make the game
easier for him and show him a little tricks and

things like that that I've learned along the way.

you can get put in different situations, and obviously the
situation that he's been in the last couple of years

But if you go all the way back, like and
just watch him, you know, from his high school day
au or that that was, you know, the G League team, Like,

he's an attack more at all times. He's you know,
super duper talent, and so far I've seen nothing that
that gives me any idea other thing. He's going to
be a huge part of, you know, a winning team.
It's just a matter of win.

What are you most excited about about playing with, not
just playing with, but playing for a co like Udoka hard,
nos gritty, like his coaching style, I feel like matches
the intensity of your plan style. So I know you
got to be thrilled and ready to like to go
to war with Udoka every night.

Yeah, that was one of the biggest, you know reasons
for me to choose Houston was you know, me just
being able to talk to him and kind of pick
his brain and see what he wanted to do and
like understand his vision. And I think at every level
of every team I've been on, I've been an extension
of the coach. So I think this would be no different.
I think it's going to be extremely you know, good

for me and for him because that's kind of just
the way I play as an extension of the coach,
and he's one of the top coaches in the league,
you know, by far. So I'm just looking forward to
learning and you know, learning each other and uh going

by the team and all of those memories that we created,

city and I felt like I've been to Duke in

I think I think Hope is still the goat, but
Drake is my favorite though, Like I think Drake is
like the goat artist because he's seen, you know, he's

hard to match. I think when you just you said
rapper out, got to say hold because he got more
like he just I don't know, it's just a different

vibe with it will hold as far as rapping goes.
But my favorite artist is definitely Drake. I think he's
the best artist ever.

Like I feel like Drake his catalog it's just continuing

gonna be crazy two years from now.
