Today’s dose of "Vitamin D" is dedicated to taking risks. It’s easy to sit in what feels like fear when you have big dreams. I know, it can be paralyzing when we’re faced with the scope of our hopes, but what is that energy really? Is it fear? I know my dreams scare me sometimes with how bold they are... but no… I choose to see it as excitement. I see it this way as I reflect on some words spoken by the late Mac Miller in his song, “Two Matches,” “What’s a life if you never take a risk? Ain’t a place too far, ain’t a dream too big.” I always took that to be a declaration of defiance... of youthful rebellion, but as time has gone on, I came to see it as a cry of anticipation. The risks that we take to make our dreams reality are part of the adventure! To have nothing but the confidence that you can do it and the nerve to throw yourself at the world to see what you can achieve are two of the greatest joys in life and to learn how to improve when you fail is one of the greatest gifts you can receive. The greater the risk, the greater the reward and I know I want to live my best life. So now you gotta get out there and live yours.
Alright, that’s it for your dose of “Vitamin D,” be sure to follow me on all social media @dawndaispeaks and until next time, always remember, "YOU... are your greatest asset."
