DY right with me and get excited about your life.
Speaker 1 (00:48):
You know you have the ability to create the life
that you want right and that you define you well.
I am reminded of this as I am back with
watching The Big Door Price. We last left off on
episode four highlighting the life of Father Ruver. Now fast forward,
(01:09):
after I had the opportunity which I highlighted, and the
last check in to pull up on our fellow listener,
Crystal Michelle. Family member Crystal Michelle. At a screening, we
had the opportunity to meet Gabrielle Dennis and other members
of the cast, and I also talked about the fun
Felled evening and just walking and living in purpose and
stepping out of the comfort zone. All that will if
(01:30):
you haven't checked it out. We wind go back a
couple episodes and take a lesson. Well, now that I'm
back with watching, I'm watching episode five entitled Trina. Now,
Trina is the daughter Cast and Dusty, and we open
up with her just with her struggles. Now, just to
give you some tidbit attention. Spoiler alert, spoiler alert, Trina,
(01:54):
her boyfriend Colton died in a car accident. Well, it's
about a year timeframe, but we get an idea of
the pain that she's enduring inside. Now, the thing that's
the tricky part about it is that Trina is dating,
seeing being intimate with Colton's twin brother Jacob. I know, listen,
(02:15):
I know, but it isn't vicious as it sounds. If
you're watching in unpacking, you know what I mean, the
whole point that I want to highlight is this is
that in the moment why Trina is grieving, there's a
bit of guilt that she's experiencing, obviously so being that
she is dating her deceased boyfriend's twin brother, but also
(02:40):
she does feel a bit of sadness. And the thing
that's highlighting more is that you know we've been talking
about this morphuil machine that's in the city. Well, the
morphol machine gave her the card of liar. Now this
is the first time that I have focused and paid
attention to somebody getting a not so optimistic or quote
unquote good card. People who have gotten biker, people have
(03:02):
gotten a father, people have gotten whistler teachers, superstar royalty,
but liar. So, of course traina carry is this guilt
because she feels as though she's been lying or doing
things that are incorrectly because she is now saying her
deceased boyfriend's brother. So now she's sitting down in a
moment where she goes over to the house to spend
(03:25):
the quality time with the father bo who is Colton's
father and her current boyfriend, Jacob's father. In the midst
of them sitting down. They're honoring the life of Colton.
Of course, on the birthday, watching TV, Colton gets up
to go to the kitchen to refill on some popcorn.
In the moment, bo is being vulnerable and sharing of
(03:45):
how much he feels as though he may not know
of his son because what he thought was his son's
favorite TV shows aren't so much. That's not the point.
The point is is that Trena sits down as they
are in their impostor moment or experiencing imposture, sinned and
just wallowing to say, oh, well, he's going more about
not knowing about his dad. So she goes, well, I
(04:06):
cheated on Colton. Oh my gosh. Immediately brother father's upsetting
asked her to lead. Trina, taking a back that doesn't
know what to say, obliges and exits. Now here's the
thing interesting enough, Just like in life, we experience people
in different situations and we undergo certain circumstances where labels
(04:29):
are placed upon us. And just like with this machine
that has appeared at Johnson's General Store in this small
town called Deerfield, that is telling people what their life
potential is, she got the potential of liar Now, if
this was the end all be all, would she had
been able to sit down with Colton and Jacob's father
(04:52):
to say, hey, I cheated on your deceased son. If
she was only able to subscribe to the label of liar,
Because when is it ever that a liar steps in
and tells the truth? You better catch it because it's hired. Furthermore, more,
lies are unpacked. In this episode, we see that Cass
(05:12):
finds out that her mother's ex wife, ex lover, Martha,
did not leave her mother Izzy because of her See
her mother, Izzie is the mayor of the town, and
told her that Martha, her now ex wife, left the
marriage because she didn't want children. So therefore Cass took
upon this weight, this lie of who somebody else said
(05:36):
is the circumstance of who she is, that she wasn't wanted,
that she was the cause of something a lot of
her to affect her entire life, only to find out
that it was not true. Martha said that couldn't have
been further from the truth. She said, listen, your mother
told me that you didn't want to talk to me anymore,
that she didn't want a further relationship with her anymore.
(05:58):
I want to highlight this because this is to be
mindful about what labels you allow others to place on you.
And sometimes even when you're in a low vibrational space,
what are the labels that you are placing on yourself. See,
we have to always remember to honor the God inside
of us that says we are exceedingly and abundantly far
more than what we could ever imagine if we are
(06:19):
made in the image of likeness. You realize that even
when you talk about God and the goodness of God
and the stories that God tell us, God tells us
everything that we are. It is that of the low
vibrations to tell us or to remind us of the
things that we are not. Hey, I just want you
to catch it and realizing when we take upon these labels,
when we take upon these words that are said by
other people when we aren't professing what it is on
(06:41):
our life, how it can affect us, how it can
weigh us down, how it can prevent us from pursuing
other opportunities, How it can really prevent us from tapping
into our true potential. On the flip side, this is
what I want to say too. You can't allow other
people and things to be the and be all, Because
just as some people are using this machine as inspiration
(07:04):
and motivation to step outside of their comfort zone, don't
let this machine, these outside inspirations, these other labels of
people that have placed on you to allow you to
stay inside a comfort zone. Do you understand what I'm saying?
Because Trinda could have very well looked at that card
and thought that that was all that she was. Despite
(07:24):
whatever quote unquote negative connotation that has on her now,
because now she is seen as a cheater or a liar,
she was still able to step with the truth again.
You define you again, You create the life that you want.
The same with Cash, she could have stuck with the
whole notion that the story was her mother's ex lover
(07:47):
ex wife left her because she didn't want her, because
she felt as though she was cumbersome or too much trouble.
How we can infect your entire life. So what is
it that you are saying about your life? What is
it that you are saying about yourself? I always say
my name is Dawn Day, and I speak life. I
speak it so much that I have life tatted on
(08:09):
my bottom lip. Then when we move over to episode six,
we really unpacked the life of Bau the father now
Bow the card that he received from the Morphou Machine
to share. So now he got it, he feels as
though he is a sheriff in town and now he
wants to investigate. He wants to investigate who Trina cheated
(08:33):
on his deceased son, Colton with He has made it
his mission. So we see him going through the thralls
of trying to figure it out. Lo and Behold. At
the end of the episode, he finds out that it's
actually his own son. But that's not the point. The
point I want to highlight again is how you define you,
how you create the life that you want, because it's
(08:54):
in this episode that Jacob gives Trina an amazing gift. Well,
when the Moreful Machine first appeared in Deerfield, Jacob was
there because remember I told you he was working there overnight.
There are a few blank cards that the machine spit
(09:15):
out as in test Now in a previous conversation, both
Jacob and Trina had said, hey, you can write whatever
you want on this card. We should have perhaps put
so much faith and confidence on what this machine is
telling us who we are. So now we're facing a
(09:38):
situation where Trina is basically distraught because she has told
her ex boyfriends or her deceased boyfriend's father that she
has cheated. Now she's telling Jacob, no, we can't continue.
I mean, at this point, what do I have? I
(09:58):
have nothing. I have nothing that I'm worth because all
I am is a liar. But remember, you define you.
So immediately Jacob pulls out one of the blank cards
that he received on the night when the machine first appeared,
and he said, here, take it. She looked at him
and said, what are you saying? I have zero potential?
He said, actually the very opposite. You can write whatever
(10:19):
you want on this car. It ain't over to God
says it's over. You define you. Who do you say
that you are? I mean, if you tap into eminem,
he says, I am whatever I say I am, And
if I wasn't, why would I say I am? Even
God says I am, I am the great I am.
If you are made in the image of likeness, who
(10:41):
do you say that you are? And perhaps it's defined
by who's you say that you are. In that moment,
Trina is taken aback because now she realizes her life
potential is in her hands, but it doesn't negate the
fact that we see the power or the positive influence
that this machine can have, because what if it does
(11:03):
make a way for you to broaden your horizons. That
gives a notion that it works for some people that
see the glasses half empty and half full. Use it
to your discretion. Furthermore, as we unpack in this episode
discussing Bowl, as Bow and a lot of the teammates
are witnessing how he's trying to figure out who trained
(11:25):
to cheating on his son with. Because Jacob, when I
hope you're following me, I know I'm giving you a lot.
I know I'm saying a lot. When Bowl followed up
with Jacob to say, oh my gosh, can you believe
that trainer cheated on Colton, Jacob threw out there just
off of women, said yeah, I think it's somebody from
the team, the basketball team. Yes, Colton was a basketball player,
(11:48):
star basketball player. So now as he's going on a
friends he's trying to figure it out. We kind of
get an inside peak as some members of the basketball team,
and there was one scene that really stood out to
me and again highlights how you define who you are.
They're sitting at the table inside the house and they
basically acknowledged that Colton's father or they're talking to Jacob
(12:09):
talking about his father, is completely not well about how
he's acting. And then they highlight how the fact that
there are so many other parents in the town that
since they saw the morpho rosine, are acting. Where do
he say, Wait, I want to go back to the
days that I just do what interests me and I
follow and keep doing that. And it just reminded me
(12:30):
because I recently spoke at a school in Compton called Dickerson.
A shout out in special thank you out to doctor
Burneatha Gales or Miss Burneatha as I like to call
her for inviting me out to speak, because we were
talking about how you create the life that you want,
how you define your potential. Why because we live in
our life on purpose and for a purpose and at
(12:52):
the end of the day, we know they we're all
going to die. And I'm talking to these young kids
and I say that, hey, if you're trying to figure
out your purpose, like you're trying to figure out what
encourages you or what inspires that you or what you
love to do. Find that thing that interests you. What
does it look like, what does it feel like? Figure
out what it is, find it and pursue it. Just
(13:12):
do it. Don't wait for somebody to tell you who
you are. Don't wait for a situation to define who
you are. Don't allow a circumstance to label who you are,
because you define you. I say it all the time,
and I'm gonna say it again. Eat the meat and
spin out the bones. So as I reflect back on
(13:34):
this morphul machine about the labels and what's been placed
upon us, you either see the glasses half empty or
half full. If something was out there to tell you
what your potential is and you've reached it, count it
all joy, and you said as a mode to step
out and explore and find more, because it ain't over.
(13:57):
It ain't over because you're still here. It ain't no
because you still hear my voice. And if it's something
that you've never done, use it as inspiration to explore
it and to do it, to see what it's like,
to figure what it's like to live your life outside
of your comfort zone. And then on the other flip
(14:20):
side of it's something that you don't like, know that
you have the ability and the power to change the
narrative because it's not over. See. We were made by
a creator or a mentor create and life right here
is like a big old canvas, and our experiences are
(14:47):
the colors to our life. What is your portrait? What
is your picture? What does your canvas say about you?
You stay inside the line? Did you live your life
full of color? Were you mild where you meet or
(15:08):
were you're explosive and vibrant? You decide that you are
in charge of your life. You define you. So are
you ready to take a chance? Are you really ready
to step in the world of exceedingly and abundantly far
more than what you could ever imagine? Are you? Because
(15:36):
it's going to require you to get uncomfortable, get uncomfortable
with the labels that have been placed upon you, getting
uncomfortable with others defined as your potential, getting uncomfortable for
realizing that after you achieve a goal, it's time to
set a new goal, because it's always time for a
new thing. So what is your new thing? What is
(15:58):
your big do or pride? Do you seek it from others?
Do you seek it from a thing or a situation?
Or are you living your life and just creating and
feeling it out as you go. There is no right
or wrong answer. It's just about you experiencing it. It's
(16:18):
just about you living, and whatever it takes for you
to get uncomfortable, continue to lean in that, because what
do I always say, We here for a good time,
not a long time. So let's make it count. Let's
live our lives feeling something, experiencing something, seeing something, but
(16:44):
most importantly believing in something. Yeah, well, I believe in you,
all right, y'all. You know I always say, listen, tell somebody,
