My dad, first of all, used to love fud Wreckers
when I was coming up because you got free unlimited
refills of soda. He would bring his own fud Wreckers cup.
I don't know if you're allowed to do that, to
use a cup from your own cup.

Speaker 3 (02:35):
Get away with it all right?

Speaker 2 (02:36):
Well, anyway, he actually made history as the first black
person to own a national burger company when he purchased
fud Ruckers. Nicholas Perkins, right, He purchased all ninety two
for the Ruckers franchises.

Speaker 4 (02:46):
It was an eighteen point five million dollar deal.

Speaker 2 (02:48):
He initially bought thirteen of the restaurants and then ended
up buying all of them, so shout out to him.
He was born in Fayetteville, North Carolina, to a single
mother and grandmother, and that's what sparked his interest in cuisine.

Speaker 4 (03:00):
And he's an HBCU alum.

Speaker 2 (03:03):
He went and got his Bachelor of Science degree in
business administration and Management from Fatteville State University and then
went on to get his NBA from Howard.

Speaker 4 (03:11):
So shout out to you, Nicholas Perkins. That's huge.

Speaker 2 (03:14):
Now you can feel good about going to fud wreckers, right,
all right? Now, who would you like to shine a
light on? Alicia? Who would you want to shine a
light on?

He is death secialists in the Bronx. She also has
a conic Lin with dig soaps and Johnnie watches for us.

Speaker 2 (03:37):
Okay, Alison, that's dope exactly.

Speaker 7 (03:41):
That's not good sea where she's really instagrams. I'm not
just saying that I see my sister like heart. Okay,
look at her reviews.

Speaker 4 (03:47):

Speaker 2 (04:32):
All right, it's way up at Angela yee. I'm Angela yee.
And my best d MENO is here.

Speaker 3 (04:37):
May I feel like that was a little slow. I
feel like that was a little slum back.

Speaker 4 (04:41):
Happened any faster? New man out? All right, Well, let's
get into some yet.

Speaker 8 (04:46):
You know.

Speaker 2 (04:46):
The Soul Train Awards we last night, Yeah, and Kiki
Palmer was hosting. Yeah, well, shout out to Sizza. She
led the night with Usher and Victoria Money also taking
home a lot of awards, Yes indeed, and Best New
Artist was Coco Jones. Certified Soul of War was Usher,
Best R and B Soul Female Artist was Siza. Best
Gospel was Kirk Franklin. Song of the Year was Snooze,

(05:10):
but he says I do love that song. Yeah, we
definitely played up here. Video of the Year Victoria Monette
with all my mama.

Speaker 3 (05:16):
So those are just some Mama. I love that song.

Speaker 2 (05:18):
Victoria Money is amazing, by the way, and we're gonna
get into her in a second because she was Mama
Beyonce's Renaissance premiere, but Kicky Palmer was hosting. And here
is one of the sketches that she did where she
calls her mom, who is also babysitting for her.

Speaker 1 (05:36):
What you mean he ain't sleep yet?

Speaker 6 (05:38):
I just leave thirty more minutes, girl, I'm out here
with my slings.

Speaker 9 (05:42):
We just.

Speaker 4 (05:49):
You don't have to cut out like that. My mama
call you bang. Take you for watching Leo.

Speaker 3 (05:55):
You know I'm watching your kids like Mama's funny.

Speaker 2 (06:01):
Yes, she did a great job, but you know what
else she did that was amazing. She premiered a new
song last night, and I know a lot of people
are gonna feel here.

Speaker 4 (06:08):
It's called on Gorgeous. You Make Me, You.

Speaker 1 (06:17):
Make Me?

Speaker 3 (06:36):
And the boy broke up.

Speaker 4 (06:37):
Yes they did break up.

Speaker 3 (06:38):
I did not tell you that.

Speaker 2 (06:39):
Yes you did, because they kind of got back together
it looked like for a second, but then it really
hit the fan, and so yes, they are broken up.
In addition to that, t Payne got the Legend Award
and he did perform a medley of his biggest hits
here it is.

Speaker 1 (06:54):
This is great, this is amazing.

Speaker 10 (06:57):
But to the new people in the crowd, to the
new artists out there, I don't want you to chase this.
I want you to know that you already got this,
you already have this in your mind. I want you
all to be who you are, unapologetically, and I want
you to not care what anybody else thinks about that person.

Speaker 4 (07:15):
Okay, I deserve it. Yeah, shout out to tea pain
Pizzle all right.

Speaker 2 (07:20):
Another thing that was really big was Beyonce actually had
the premiere for her Renaissance movie. You know, that's coming
out December first. Some places it'll be Thursday night, so
you can check it early. But they said that's gonna
sell out pretty quick. Yeah, when they did the pre
sales in October, it was seven million dollars a ticket,
so in October already, so imagine how hard it's going
to be to be able to see this movie. But

(07:41):
she premiered the movie on Saturday and Jene Monnay was there,
Lizzo Chloe and Hallie Tyler Perry, there were a lot
of things that we learned also from people talking about it.
There were several trailers that were out promoting the movie.

Speaker 4 (07:55):
You got to see Beyonce talking.

Speaker 2 (07:56):
You also learned that Blue Ivy took a lot of
the criticism that people gave her of her performance and
use that to get better. Yeah, people were talking so crazy.
But it was nice to see the difference from the
beginning of the tour to the end, because that's not
an easy thing to be able to do. But all
of the og Destiny's child, Destiny's Children's children, Yeah, they

(08:20):
pulled up. That's good to see that. Yeah, LaTavia, LaToya Lucket,
Kelly Rowland, Michelle Williams, all of them were there, So
that is really dope.

Speaker 3 (08:28):
The old ones too. Yeah, yeah, I just said.

Speaker 4 (08:31):
What's LaToya, LaTavia?

Speaker 3 (08:34):
What's the other one name?

Speaker 4 (08:36):
I think you're like, who's missing from this? Yeah?

Speaker 2 (08:40):
I feel like that too. All right, well, yes, so
I know everybody's going to see that. I wonder if
we'll be able to see it on Friday. The tour experience,
but that is your yeete And when we come back,
we have about last night, so much to talk about
because we have been on vacation for the past week,
we spoke on things giving.

Speaker 3 (09:00):
Yeah, I called you your sn.

Speaker 2 (09:02):
Same was about to get your name tattooed on his
forearm and not wait for that. But right now, let's
get into a classic jenay I go with the worst.

Speaker 1 (09:09):
It's way up about last night. Last night, last night.

Speaker 2 (09:14):
Dez I went down, all right, it's way up with
Angela yee. I'm Angela ye and maynos in the lady
and the newest MANO, how was you and what did
you do?

Speaker 3 (09:24):
Ah man? Shout out to Pearls one Roe shout out
the steps. She came through. You know that's that's the
chef from Kitchen Talk. Okay, she came through chef for me.
When I was it, I was so absolutely cheffed up.
We had everything well, Zanya with turkey meat. We had
our macaroni and cheese, yams, salmon.

Speaker 2 (09:42):
That's a good idea for the holidays to try to
get food like cooked or catered for you, Couzin.

Speaker 4 (09:48):
But my family comes over, I'm like, we getting.

Speaker 3 (09:51):
This catering, yes, because it's too much work, though, what
did you do?

Speaker 4 (09:56):
What can you make?

Speaker 8 (09:57):
No?

Speaker 3 (09:57):
I just made sure all the foods there, I.

Speaker 2 (09:59):
Just made sure I ate it. Well, you know what's crazy?
So this, well, first of all, I never see my
family on actual Thanksgiving. We always get together on another day.
Traffic is so bad on Thanksgiving.

Speaker 3 (10:11):
Crazy.

Speaker 2 (10:12):
I actually was outside and I went to go work
out on Thanksgiving Day.

Speaker 4 (10:18):
I was with my friend Yaminika.

Speaker 2 (10:19):
She does these like intense workouts with the trainer, and
she's been asking me to come, and so Thanksgiving is
a day that I really don't have to see many people.
So I went with Yaminika to her trainer and worked
out in the traffic. I was like, this is why you.

Speaker 3 (10:33):
Don't see your family at all on Thingsgiving?

Speaker 4 (10:34):
I see I saw them on Saturday.

Speaker 3 (10:36):
See Saturday.

Speaker 2 (10:36):
Yeah, make sure you do it after Yes, we do
it when the traffic is not as bad. Do you
want to know what we did on Saturday with my family?
This is the Chinese side of the family. We went
to a Chinese buffet in Garden City, Long Island.

Speaker 3 (10:50):
That's fun though.

Speaker 6 (10:51):
It was funny.

Speaker 3 (10:52):
All you can eat we were.

Speaker 2 (10:54):
Definitely there, and when I tell you all you can eat,
I felt bad for the staff because this is what
my family does at a buffet, so they eat and
we got there at what time did we get there
at five, and so I was there till like almost nine.
We were there till nine o'clock, right, And so what
they do is they go, they get their first helpings.

Speaker 4 (11:13):
Everybody's chilling, then they go again. Then we pay the bill, and.

Speaker 2 (11:17):
Then they still go get more food, and then they're
going to get dessert, and then on the same plate
they got all kinds of other stuff mixed in. When
I tell you, my dad ate like four ice cream bars,
and there was a rule. I guess if you take
an ice cream bar to go, you got to pay
a dollar you have.

Speaker 4 (11:32):
To eat it there. Or let me tell you something.

Speaker 2 (11:35):
I usually don't love a buffet because I'm very you know,
people over the I don't know how you feel about buffets.

Speaker 3 (11:42):
I haven't been in a buffet, and I don't know
when it's like I ain't been in one of those years.

Speaker 4 (11:48):
Well, shout out to my family.

Speaker 3 (11:50):
I want to go now to the buffet.

Speaker 2 (11:52):
It was like going up again and up again, and
then I you know, I try not to overdo.

Speaker 3 (11:56):
It, but they overdo it.

Speaker 2 (11:57):
My dad keeps on bringing stuff like I don't even
eat that. I don't eat seafood.

Speaker 3 (12:01):
No, you gotta you know what, I want to do
that and round my family up and just overdo it.

Speaker 2 (12:07):
They had a room reserved. Then they started playing myjen.
I don't know if you know what my job was that.
It's like a game. It looks like dominoes, but it's
like a Chinese version. It's called Majen. I'm like, yo, y'all,
these people want to go home. You want to hear
playing a game. But yeah, so that was my Thanksgiving
celebration with the Ye family, So shout out to them
when we come back.

Speaker 4 (12:26):
You know what it is, tell us a secret.

Speaker 2 (12:29):
And it's family time, and so I know there were

Yeah you should send him some naked pictures.

Speaker 4 (13:59):
No, you should not.

Speaker 2 (14:00):
That could be you could get fired for that.

Speaker 3 (14:05):
Wait to your home and do it. Not listen to

Speaker 3 (14:24):

I just took a pregnant success and I'm pregnant again
and just would be my fifth child and I just
had a grand baby, like I can't have a child
younger than my grandbaby.

Speaker 4 (15:19):
Oh what are you gonna do?

Speaker 3 (15:20):
How does that work?

Speaker 4 (15:22):
She has an older childhood work?

Speaker 3 (15:24):
Oh?

Speaker 12 (15:25):
Yes, my oldest is nineteen. He had a baby. And
it's just ridiculous.

Speaker 11 (15:29):
This is just so ridiculous.

Speaker 12 (15:30):
Light my body, my choice. I will be out there
ducking and dodging the protest. Yeah, that's hell to the No. No, no, no, no.

Speaker 3 (15:38):
Sure, same father for you, same father.

Speaker 12 (15:42):
But you know, we're in a struggle right now, and
I am not trying to bring a whole new life
into the struggle.

Speaker 2 (15:48):
Okay, all right, I'm planning. But that is your body,
your choice. That's what planning parenthood is all about. Is
you deciding what you want to do when it comes
to family planning.

Speaker 12 (15:58):
Yeah, don't judge me, y'all.

Speaker 3 (15:59):
I don't judge you for what.

Speaker 1 (16:00):
Girl.

Speaker 4 (16:00):
I would never ever judge you for that. I gotta stop.

Speaker 3 (16:06):
You don't have to stop doing that.

Speaker 4 (16:08):
He doesn't pull.

Speaker 12 (16:08):
Out listen because the snap is snapping, okay, and I
just like, I just gotta stop snapping.

Speaker 4 (16:15):
Snapper. You got the pink snapper?

Speaker 3 (16:20):
So are you gonna Are you gonna have the baby?

Speaker 4 (16:22):
No?

Speaker 2 (16:22):
She just said, But you know what, it's your decision,
and just make sure whatever you do you're safe about it.

Speaker 12 (16:27):
Okay, yes, ma'am.

Speaker 3 (16:29):
So you're saying that he's just that good, he just
don't you just can't pull out.

Speaker 12 (16:33):
Man, it wasn't even worse. It like it was just
but it would just be so quick. I'd be like,
what happened?

Speaker 3 (16:39):
You give it out? Any samples?

Speaker 6 (16:41):
Stop it mean.

Speaker 7 (16:43):
Listen after this?

Speaker 12 (16:44):
Hell no, all.

Speaker 4 (16:46):
Right, thank you for calling. All right, Well that was
tell us a secret.

Speaker 2 (16:49):
In case you couldn't get through eight hundred two nine
fifty one fifty, you can still leave a message.

Speaker 4 (16:53):
And when we come back, we have a yet.

Speaker 2 (16:56):
Man, should we get into some of these allegations that
have been happening. There's a lot and you know part
of the reason why was the deadline.

Speaker 4 (17:05):
Yeah, the deadline. We'll talk about all of that.

Speaker 2 (17:07):
The deadline in New York State is way up at Angela,
ye yo, she about to blow.

Speaker 1 (17:11):
The lead about this.

Speaker 5 (17:12):
But let's get it, oh, angelus feeling that yee te
Come and get the tea.

Speaker 2 (17:17):
It's way up at Angela, ye Angela yee, and Mano
is here. All right, let's get into some very serious
yet this morning. First, let started with opening statements are
said to begin in Young Thugs racketeering trial today.

Speaker 4 (17:31):
All right.

Speaker 2 (17:32):
He's facing gang related charges in a reco indictment in
Fulton County, Georgia, and his attorney, Brian Still, has confirmed
to ABC News that this is all starting today. He
has pleaded not guilty to all eight counts and according
to his attorney, he said, mister Williams has committed no
violation of law whatsoever, and his legal team filed several

(17:52):
motions over the past year to try to get him
released on bomb but they were all denied.

Speaker 3 (17:56):
Free dog.

Speaker 2 (17:57):
So we will see what's going to happen, but we'll
definitely be watching and keeping you updated.

Speaker 4 (18:02):
All right.

Speaker 2 (18:03):
Now, let's get into all of these allegations that were
happening over the past couple of days. And this is
all because I think it was on the twenty fourth,
that's when everything expired for people to be able to
file these claims against in New York State. In New
York State, So that's when everything, yes, and that's why

(18:23):
Cassie actually filed her her civil suit at that time too.
All right, So Jamie Fox, now he has a sexual
assault accusations and Jamie Fox's lawyer has already released a
statement after that news got released of this recently filed lawsuit, saying,
now the lawyer saying this incident never happened and that

(18:44):
he already has been to court over the matter. According
to his attorney, in twenty twenty, this individual filed a
nearly identical lawsuit in Brooklyn. That case was dismissed shortly thereafter.
The claims are no more viable today than they were then.
We are confident they will be dismissed again. And he's
planning to count to sue the plaintiff. All right, Jimmy
Iveen has been issued to summons for sexual abuse harassment,

(19:06):
and he has these allegations from an anonymous accuser. And
so according to the court documents, they're saying it's assault
and battery. Attorneys are seeking compensation to be determined at trial.
So we will keep you updated on that as well.
And then Ditty, now a third person has come forward
and they are claiming sexual assault as well. And this

(19:29):
lawsuit a woman is identified as Jane Doe. She alleges
that she and a friend me Ditty and Aaron Hall.
And we'll get into Aaron Hall in the next hour
at a new York event that was hosted by Uptown Records,
and that Ditty and Aaron Hall were very flirtatious and handsy,
with Jane Doe and her friend offering them the drinks
throughout the night. Then they went to Aaron Hall's apartment,
according to the allegations, where they were offered more drinks

(19:51):
and coerced into having sex with Ditty, and then she
said she laid in bed, shocked and traumatized as she
was in the process of getting dressed. She says that
Aaron Hall barged into the room, pinder down and forced
Jane Doe to have sex with him, and.

Speaker 4 (20:05):
She said after that she fled from the apartment.

Speaker 2 (20:08):
All right, and Diddy's former bad Boy president Harpierre is
also being sued for sexual assault, and the company says
that it is investigating. The former employee says that her
Pierre engaged in a year long pattern of grooming her,
which led to sexual harassment and sexual assault on multiple
occasions between twenty sixteen and twenty seventeen. Now, Diddy's former

(20:29):
head of security also is ready to share things that
he said happened too, and Roger Bonds was also named
in the suit that was settled with Cassie, so Cassie
named him in the suit as a witness, and he
went on social media and said, this is not meant
to be threats or snitching or anything like that against
Cassie or Diddy or anyone else.

Speaker 4 (20:49):
This is me telling my truth. Is I truly remember
it for two reasons only.

Speaker 2 (20:53):
First because I have four daughters, so on all dudes
my tooth as I seen it, saw it and was
involved with it for years. And he said, I'm willing
to tell my tooth because for so many years I
was quiet. Nothing matters now but family, all right. Now,
there's another security gene deal that has been talking about.

Speaker 3 (21:10):
He's been speaking for years.

Speaker 2 (21:11):
Yes, what he alleges did, he has been doing for years,
and a lot of those interviews you know, have been
read coming up and he's still speaking out about it.
And here's what he had to say about Danny Kane.
He said that when when Ditty was giving everybody back
there publishing, it was under the conditions that there would

(21:31):
be an NDA. He didn't want people to talk about
things that happened at the label. And he also says
that Diddy was trying to groom these girls and here's
what else he said.

Speaker 3 (21:40):
They have Indy's non disclosure.

Speaker 13 (21:43):
It's the same thing that he gave all his artists
when he gave him a publishing back. I'm gonna give
you all y'all publishing, but y'all can't talk about Janis Komb,
Justin Kohle, Sony bad Boy or anything that happened.

Speaker 3 (21:58):
But it's some artists that didn't say it. I think
Danny Kane.

Speaker 2 (22:02):
He also said that Diddy was planning to pimp the
girls out.

Speaker 3 (22:06):
And I said something to them and walked out the studio.

Speaker 13 (22:09):
He said, yo, I'm a drug daft and piped them
out to my I was like somebody kids and walked out.

Speaker 4 (22:18):
All right.

Speaker 2 (22:19):
So we're seeing a lot of things surface, and we'll
be talking about this more in depth. I definitely want
to get some people up here to give some more
depth to this conversation. But when we come back, we
do have under the Radar that was your EET, and
we'll talk about some of the stories that are flying
under the radar. One of them really piqued your interest, Mano,
and we're going to tell people why.

Speaker 4 (22:39):
At home testing, we'll tell you all about it.

Speaker 3 (22:41):
It's way up I got news this in the news
that relates to you.

Speaker 1 (22:45):
These stories are flying under the radar.

Speaker 2 (22:48):
It's way up with Angela Ye. I'm Angela yee, and
Mano's in the building.

Speaker 4 (22:51):
Hey and listen.

Speaker 2 (22:53):
It's time for these under the radar story stories that
we think are interesting but it may not necessarily be
in the headlines. The fd has authorized the first home
test for chlamydia and goneriea.

Speaker 3 (23:04):
You could check people.

Speaker 2 (23:06):
Yes, it's a simple to test and on pull up.
It's made by the company Let's get checked. And so
now it's approved. People were concerned that they might have
chlamydia or gonnerrhea and they would have to go get
tested at a doctor's office. And now users of the
new test won't need a prescription. They can activate it online.
All right, So there you go. If you have ganeria.

(23:26):
Some of the symptoms can include stomach or pelvic pain,
increase vaginal discharge, painful urination, bleeding between periods. A lot
of people don't even have symptoms, so they may not
notice it as well.

Speaker 3 (23:37):
Now you can check people upon pull up, you can
check visitors.

Speaker 12 (23:41):
Here.

Speaker 3 (23:41):
Take this first.

Speaker 4 (23:44):
I told you got to be a little more.

Speaker 3 (23:45):
That's no I'm saying, in general, don't try to make
it about me. Don't try to make it about me.
I'm saying in general, people can check people.

Speaker 4 (23:52):
Here, I'm gonna give you some condoms for Christmas.

Speaker 3 (23:54):
Not playing with me?

Speaker 4 (23:56):
All right?

Speaker 3 (23:56):
Now?

Speaker 2 (23:57):
Do you know what the most common password is? And
it takes less than a second to crack? According to
research they did. Nord Past did an annual list of
common passwords. The most common password was counted more than
four point five million times. What do you think it is? One, two, three, four, five, six,
isn't it? And then the other one is you know

(24:19):
the top of the keyboard QW E R T Y.
That's another really yeah, where people just go across the
top of the keyboard and do that.

Speaker 3 (24:28):
You got anything with that?

Speaker 2 (24:30):
I definitely do not, but Navy surely does. That's probably
I never use that, all right, So yes, please don't
use those passwords all right now. The twenty twenty three
word of the year, according to Mariam Webster Webster is
what do you know?

Speaker 6 (24:46):
Is new mano.

Speaker 4 (24:47):
The word of the year is authentic.

Speaker 2 (24:49):
It feels like a lot of people are doing branding
and people want you to be authentic and they want
it to be organic.

Speaker 4 (24:55):
But that's the new word of the year.

Speaker 3 (24:58):
It was toxic.

Speaker 4 (24:59):
Ooh right? Or what else did you say earlier?

Speaker 3 (25:03):
What was the other word? People?

Speaker 2 (25:05):
Gaslighting, that's a popular one. Narciss Yes, all of those things.
All right, Well, that is your under the radar.

Speaker 6 (25:12):
You know.

Speaker 2 (25:12):
We got the Way Up mix at the top of
the hour on a Monday to get your week started.

Speaker 3 (25:16):
Right.

Speaker 2 (25:16):
Also, doctor Tricia Bailey is going to be joining us.
I love her and she has to book out right now, Unbroken.
She is born in Jamaica and she's the first Jamaican
born woman who is a self made billionaire.

Speaker 4 (25:27):
All right, it's way up.

Speaker 2 (25:29):
She's like the talk like they Angela Jean like they
Angelie Jean.

Speaker 1 (25:33):
Man, She's spilling it all. This is yet way up.

Speaker 2 (25:38):
It's way up with Angela Yee. I'm Angela Yee and
Mano is here.

Speaker 4 (25:41):
No right, and it's time for some yek t okay.
All right.

Speaker 2 (25:46):
Well, earlier we were talking about Diddy and we were
talking about a third woman coming forward with the lawsuit.
We were talking about his head of security speaking out
about things that he witnessed. Well, now let's talk about
that third lawsuit again. This was a woman who, according
to the lawsuit, says that both Diddy and Aaron Hall
were very flirtatious with her. She's identified as Jane Doe,

(26:08):
and to her and her friend and offered them drinks
throughout the night, and then they went to Aaron Hall's
apartment where allegedly Jane Doe was offered more drinks and
was coerced into having sex with Diddy. And then after
the alleged assault, she was in bed, shocked and traumatized,
and as she was getting dressed, she says, Aaron Hall
bared into the room, pinned her down, and forced Jane
Doe to have sex with him.

Speaker 4 (26:28):
This is Aaron Hall from the group Guy.

Speaker 2 (26:30):
Now Gloria Velez who has a child with Aaron Hall,
she got pregnant when she was sixteen years old by him.
Really yes, by the way, she had posted on social
media and she talked about grooming happening in the industry.
She said, if you don't think grooming is happening in
this business, you're sadly mistaken. It started in nineteen ninety
four with Luke and a few others in this business.

Speaker 4 (26:50):
I was in high school.

Speaker 2 (26:52):
Now, people did bring up Aaron Hall's interview on Vlad TV,
where he said this, when I saw.

Speaker 14 (26:59):
She was dancing with I ain't know she was a puppy.
She was tall, she was big bond head boom with
the black pant leather, and I was like, I'm getting that.
So I just went there and just grabbed her head
and went inside the hotel and gave it to her.
But my whole thing is this is that I love
Gloria to death because she gave me a beautiful son.

Speaker 3 (27:15):
Gloria do no bad thing to me.

Speaker 14 (27:16):
I thought she was older, so when I saw her,
everybody was trying to get at her.

Speaker 3 (27:20):
While y'all scared of I.

Speaker 4 (27:21):
Took her all right.

Speaker 3 (27:23):
I didn't know every Hall talk like that.

Speaker 4 (27:26):
It was I've never heard him talk quite aggressive. And
she was only sixteen at the time.

Speaker 2 (27:30):
She gave birth to their child when she was seventeen
years old. Now after, like I told you, she talked
about grooming and then she posted a picture of her
school Ida and she had South Florida nineteen ninety three
nineteen ninety fourteen clubs where the pedophilia men scouted and groomed.
It was their playground and Uncle Luke did not like

(27:50):
being accused of grooming her, and he went on social
media and responded, and here's what he said.

Speaker 9 (27:55):
I signed the Warm Love. The Warm Love was fourteen
years old. You know what you have to do when
you sign him on the age person. You gotta go
get consent by the court. They have to then get
a lawyer. The kid gets his own lawyer. Parents how
they own lawyer? You how your lawyer did, And that's
how you man.

Speaker 1 (28:11):
I don't play. I don't play about their paperwork. I'm
not none of them dudes.

Speaker 8 (28:14):
Man.

Speaker 2 (28:15):
All right, And he went on to talk more about
this on social media. First of all, he said, he
just learned what grooming was.

Speaker 3 (28:20):
I don't even know what it is.

Speaker 4 (28:22):
That's you don't know what grooming is.

Speaker 2 (28:23):
That's when they prepare you for being taken advantage of.
So it's kind of like grooming an underage person so
that you can take advantage.

Speaker 3 (28:32):
Of more preparing you for somebody else or for themselves.

Speaker 2 (28:36):
You know, some people say, oh, she was fourteen years
old and he was grooming her for later on, so
about the time she was sixteen or seventeen, he could
take advantage of her. All right, So he said, I
don't have no problem going to court. I'm not Russell Simmons.
I don't do that. The problem is, when you know
your brand and you know what you're singing about, you
subject yourself to be in that kind of trap faster.
So what you have to do is really not be

(28:58):
about what those songs is talking about, because you can
get yourself jammed up.

Speaker 4 (29:01):
And so that's his way of saying that.

Speaker 2 (29:03):
You know, he knew what kind of hole he was
in based on his music, so we always made sure
he protected himself. And then he said everyone around me.
I encouraged him to be great, better businessman, women, better parents,
better community servants. I have a long list of individuals
who work for me that are multi millionaires. And so
that was his response to that, and he did he
does know how to go to court. If you guys recall,

(29:26):
you know he did a whole court decision that affected
right hip hop and general music business absolutely obscenity.

Speaker 4 (29:34):
It was an obscenity case.

Speaker 2 (29:36):
All right, Well that is your yet And you know
it is a Monday, and I really missed Jamina, So
I'm glad that you're here today.

Speaker 4 (29:43):
You know, you're my favorite rude boy.

Speaker 2 (29:44):
Here's a real boy Rihanna, and when we come back,
we have a Monday.

Speaker 4 (29:49):
It's way up.

Speaker 1 (29:51):
You ride a way up with Angela Yee.

Speaker 2 (29:55):
It's way up with Angela Yee. I'm Angela Yee. And
Mano is here, little Lake.

Speaker 3 (30:01):
I felt it too half a second late.

Speaker 4 (30:03):
Okay, all right, we'll work on that. He's a little rusty.

Speaker 3 (30:07):
It's been at least a week.

Speaker 4 (30:09):
And listen, and let's let that roll right into this Monday.

Speaker 3 (30:14):
Monday, man of I'm gonna say this. Sometimes learn how
to mind your business.

Speaker 4 (30:23):
I'm good at that.

Speaker 3 (30:24):
Minding your business is very, very imperative. That's very important,
mind the business that pays you because you don't have
to have an opinion about everything and everybody. You don't
have to beat in everything, you don't have to dance
to every song, you don't have to dance at every party.
Sometimes minding your business is staying your lane is the
best policy, because you're too worried about what you got

(30:47):
going on to be even caring about everybody else.

Speaker 2 (30:52):
I always tell people, imagine if you focus all of
that energy that into being worried about what somebody else
is doing or not doing what they look like, and
you put all of that into yourself, right, Just how
much more productive you could be?

Speaker 3 (31:07):
And I think were living in everybody's in everybody's business.
You know error right now, everybody's in everybody's business. Everybody
got an opinion about everything. You think about some of
the comments that people make on you, and you look
at some of the people making the comments. You go, man,
you you cannot be the person making this comment. You

(31:28):
cannot have an opinion about this because you fix what
you got going on.

Speaker 4 (31:33):
Some people be quiet at certain times, you should.

Speaker 2 (31:35):
People find their business at certain times, like let me
mind my business, stay my own.

Speaker 3 (31:39):
Name, focus on me right, focus on you, mind your business,
standing your lane.

Speaker 2 (31:43):
And I do want to make an asterisk here, you know,
you see we do mind other people's business.

Speaker 4 (31:48):
I just want to throw that out there because.

Speaker 3 (31:50):
That's part of the that's different.

Speaker 4 (31:53):
Well what about when you but different?

Speaker 3 (31:55):
That is a job. This is a job description.

Speaker 4 (31:58):
That's what we called minding the business that pay.

Speaker 3 (32:00):
Right, that pays you pay to do that to do
eut and.

Speaker 2 (32:04):
Under the radar and listen, I'm all for what a
cooler talk and being like, oh my god, did you
see what happened in the news, But being able to
then be like.

Speaker 3 (32:12):
Okay, focus on you.

Speaker 4 (32:15):
Yes, focus on you.

Speaker 2 (32:16):
Don't got sip at work about people who are going
to hear about it. One of my rules is don't
say something about somebody behind the back that you would
be horrified if they heard about it, or if they
heard it repeated, then just don't say it, you know,
That's one of my rules.

Speaker 3 (32:29):
Spend less time in the comment sections, man, and get
to your own dreams.

Speaker 2 (32:34):
All right, Well, with all of that said, thank you
so so much for that Monday.

Speaker 3 (32:37):
Man, no hesitation and situation.

Speaker 2 (32:40):
With all that being said, it's time to ask ye
if you need some advice.

Speaker 4 (32:44):
We are going to mind.

Speaker 3 (32:45):
You all boys. I'm really good at this.

Speaker 4 (32:47):
Yeah you are.

Speaker 2 (32:47):
You are an award winning advice giver. Is eight hundred
nine two fifty fifty.

Speaker 4 (32:52):
Is the number.

Speaker 2 (32:53):
Let us know what question you have. We are here
to help. And right now, Chris Brown under the influence.

Speaker 4 (32:58):
It's way up.

Speaker 1 (33:00):
That's since with.

Speaker 5 (33:00):
It's relationship for career advice. Angela's dropping facts.

Speaker 1 (33:03):
So you should you should?

Speaker 4 (33:05):
This is aske what's up his way up with Angela yee?

Speaker 2 (33:08):
I'm Angela yee and Mana was here the award winning
advice giver and it's time for asking y eight hundred
two ninety two fifty one fifty.

Speaker 4 (33:15):
We have Joy on the line. Hey, Joy, Hey, how
are you? Oh you do not sound happy.

Speaker 8 (33:21):
No. So I found the stone pornogressive video and photos
on a tip that that belonged to my boyfriend. And
when I asked, amut it? You said it was full
and those women paid for professional counters. I'm like, well,
who for that?

Speaker 4 (33:37):
Like, I don't believe women do that.

Speaker 2 (33:39):
So he says that he was getting paid to do
sexual things with women.

Speaker 4 (33:42):
Yeah, so he was like a process school.

Speaker 8 (33:45):
That's what I'm very confused, and I'm like, that's discussing, like,
it's other ways to make money. You can get a
second job.

Speaker 12 (33:54):
Whatever.

Speaker 4 (33:55):
Was it like for OnlyFans or something?

Speaker 8 (33:57):
No, it was like personal video.

Speaker 4 (33:59):
It was it this while you guys were together or before.

Speaker 8 (34:01):
You together in the videos. As I'm watching the videos,
you weren't even protecting yourself.

Speaker 3 (34:06):
So how did you raise his performance? Though?

Speaker 8 (34:11):
No, the performance, that's okay, But at the end of
the day, who was really paying for a sexual encounter?

Speaker 4 (34:17):
I want to see something. Did you ask him to
show you some receipts like where's the payments? I need
to see you.

Speaker 15 (34:21):
I'm still waving.

Speaker 8 (34:22):
I'm like, well show me the cash up or they'll
pay till something that they're showing that they paying for
some sexual because I don't believe that.

Speaker 2 (34:29):
What advice do you need to because it feels like
you're already discussed and over, So what advice do you
need today?

Speaker 8 (34:35):
I don't even know because I'm like, I don't even
know what to do because I'm like, he's begging to
be back on someone. He loves me, you love me
doing stuff like that.

Speaker 2 (34:43):
I can't see you just forgetting about this either. You know,
we forgive people, but that don't mean we forget. And
I mean, he was sneaking around doing this, What makes
you think he's gonna stop doing it? And the fact
that he's telling you I was getting paid, I don't
believe that either.

Speaker 4 (34:56):
He's not even being honest. After he got caught he cheated.

Speaker 2 (34:59):
You know, maybe he felt like saying he got paid,
you would think it was his work man to make
a living.

Speaker 8 (35:04):
Shut up, It's called get a job, jab John to.

Speaker 2 (35:08):
It feels like you could do better, That's how I'm
looking at it. You don't need to you already broke
up with him. It doesn't feel like you want to
take him back. The fact that you're considering it though,
is interesting.

Speaker 4 (35:19):
But it was.

Speaker 8 (35:20):
It was weird though, because he always accused me a
cheatment and I'm like, I never even shoud it though,
And I always said.

Speaker 7 (35:26):
Always said, a person who always accused the.

Speaker 8 (35:28):
Artist and the person who's doing the fact everybody cheats.

Speaker 2 (35:33):
Yeah, no accountability if his excuses everybody cheats. I mean,
he doesn't even think he's wrong. He just thinks it's normal.
And that's not normal. So I say, go forward, don't
look back, don't look back at it.

Speaker 8 (35:45):
Yeah, because I'm like, then he had his son called
me about, oh, well, my dad loves you, and I'm like,
just don't want nothing to do with your town. They
made his decision.

Speaker 2 (35:59):
Yeah, that's very manipulative. Don't have the kids call me.
All right, it's over, sir. Thank you dooight for calling us.
I think you know what you need to do. I
know I understand you wanted to vent and get that
out there, but I know you know in your hearts
where you have to go. Unfortunately, and I know it
hurts and it's hard. It's the holidays and everything, and
kids are involved. You know you're close with his son,

(36:19):
but it just feels like this is an ultimate deception
for you. All right, Well that was ask ye eight
hundred two nine two fifty one fifty. In case you
couldn't get through, you can always leave a message. And
when we come back, we have doctor Tricia Bailey joining us.

Speaker 4 (36:32):
She is the author of Unbroken. She's a Jamaican born woman.

Speaker 2 (36:36):
She is the first self made Jamaican born woman billionaire.
And you're gonna love her story. It is a real
story of resilience. You know, it's just incredible. So I
need you guys to hear this. It's way up with
Angela yee about to do this?

Speaker 1 (36:48):
Yeah, y'all more way up with Angela on Now.

Speaker 4 (36:52):
What's up this? Way up with Angela yee. I'm Angela Yee.

Speaker 2 (36:57):
Jasmine Brand is here with me and we have doctor
Tricia Barey here with us today, the author of Unbroken,
which is your memoir. But I mean, I have to
say this because how could I not but the richest
Jamaican born women seven hundred million dollars net worth And
I'm only saying that because you can google it.

Speaker 4 (37:15):
Does it feel weird to hear her say such big
numbers like that.

Speaker 6 (37:18):
Well it's actually a billion, but a billion, okay, guys,
in the space I'm in, it's almost like surreal, like
I function like, how can a little girl like me
that came from such meager beginnings be in the space.
So but I know why I am here now. I'm
here to help and to inspire and to elevate these
people who look like me.

Speaker 2 (37:36):
You actually were born in Jamaica. You came to the
United States to Hertford, Connecticut when you were thirteen years old?

Speaker 6 (37:41):
Thirteen?

Speaker 4 (37:42):
So what kind of major change?

Speaker 2 (37:43):
And I know I read the book, but in case
people haven't, what was that culture shock like for you?

Speaker 6 (37:48):
We were just happy kids. We didn't even know we
were poor. And then my second day here in the
United States, I wanted to walk because we walked through
and a half miles of school in Jamaica and walk
in and run. It was just a natural thing that
we did. So I wanted to walk to school in Hartford.
And so the second day I got lost. I got
out of school at one point fifteen and I didn't
get back to the house until nine ten o'clock at night.

Speaker 1 (38:07):
Oh no.

Speaker 4 (38:08):
On the second day, can you imagine what that's light?

Speaker 6 (38:10):
And that first night was the first night I experienced
the worst thing that can happen to a child. When
I came home, my mom said, go kiss your father
good night, and what he did there after was beyond
atrocious that I don't want to give away with the
book for anyone, but it.

Speaker 4 (38:26):
Was sorry father too, not sure my stepfather.

Speaker 6 (38:29):
It was a start of my nightmare.

Speaker 2 (38:31):
It was even hard for me because I had already
met you when I read the book to read that
because the fact that as a child you could be
so unprotected in your own home, and I'm sure people
who are listening can have some type of idea, and
you know about this book is that you definitely did
not hold back. You know, it was a lot of
really graphic details that were hard to read, but it

(38:53):
also I think can be very necessary for people to
understand the trauma that can come with something like that. Now,
doctor Chishabilly, I want to ask you this. As a
young girl, you were very unprotected. Even your mom you
did attempt to tell her what was happening in the
house with your stepfather, and she told you that you
were a liar. Have you ever after that, You've never
had a conversation with her about any of what transpired?

(39:15):
And if she because there's no way, like you said that,
somebody could not have known in that house what was
going on.

Speaker 6 (39:21):
So I struggled with that. I struggled with that a lot,
because whether she knew or not know, I still don't
know the answer.

Speaker 4 (39:29):
You did tell her so.

Speaker 6 (39:30):
So I told her later on, but she didn't know
the full details. She found out the full details the
same time everyone did in the book.

Speaker 4 (39:38):
And what did she say?

Speaker 6 (39:39):
We never talked about it.

Speaker 4 (39:40):
Do you want to talk to her? Do you feel
like you will at some point?

Speaker 6 (39:44):
Ah, you know, that's a really good question. I'm not sure.
I have moved to the place of complete forgiveness for
everyone who has not supported me when they were supposed
to support me. And we're in a really good space
right now. My mom and I and I don't even
she's not she's a Caribbean woman. They don't like to
talk about those things, you know. I think my mom

(40:05):
also had her own traumas.

Speaker 4 (40:07):
And we don't even know what that.

Speaker 6 (40:08):
We don't know what those are.

Speaker 4 (40:09):
What type of therapy have you gone through?

Speaker 6 (40:11):
So I did ten years of talk therapy and that
helped because it helped you to process your boundaries and
be able to engage with different people. But then I
discovered EMDR therapy, which is a non talk therapy which
is specialized in trauma. And what it does it basically
to traumas are in your subconscious like ice cubes and

(40:32):
a normal memory you walking down the street, that's why
you won't remember it ten years later, But a trauma
you're gonna remember exactly what happened to all the details.
What EMDR does is melt all those memories so that
it's a normal memory and so that the trauma is
not affecting you. That's why I'm able to talk about
it freely now and able to go through the stories
without actively feeling broken, without feeling as though I need

(40:56):
you know I need help. I did a session of
the EMDR theoryrapy, So I advocate so much for this.
So if any of you are out there who needs
who needs some trauma therapy EMDR Picture yourself in the room.
You go in the room is completely dark and you
only have a flashlight. The only light you see is
the little flashlight that's the person with trauma after you

(41:18):
have processed it and deal with it like through emdr
Now you turn the entire light switch on and your
entire world is lit and so now like I am
truly the happiest place I've ever been in my life.

Speaker 4 (41:29):
All right, Doctor Tricia Bailey is here, y'all.

Speaker 11 (41:31):
Now.

Speaker 2 (41:31):
She is so amazing and impressive to me to have
come from where she came from built herself up into
a billionaire with no help. It's an amazing story. We
have more with her when we come back. It's way
up at Angela Yee.

Speaker 4 (41:44):
Now, what's up? It's way up at Angela Yee. I'm
Angela ye.

Speaker 2 (41:51):
Jasmine Brand is here and we are talking to doctor
Tricia Bailey, the author of Unbroken but also the founder
of Bailey's Medical These are the type of stories that
I love and getting into the details of how a
person came from growing up inta make it to being
a billionaire and a philanthropist. She's now going to talk
to us about how she managed to even start and
grow and scale her business.

Speaker 4 (42:12):
At some point, you were a stockbroker.

Speaker 2 (42:13):
Yes, that's not an easy space to be in, and
especially being like a black woman. What was that experience
like for you, because there were a lot of times
you were in those spaces where you were certainly the
only one or one of few.

Speaker 6 (42:25):
Yeah. I became the youngest stockbroker in the history of
the company, twenty two years old, and I was the
only black woman in the New England for Smith Barney.
I have to make sure that I'm better than every
single person that's there. So I gave it everything that
I had because that's all I knew. All I knew
was to work.

Speaker 2 (42:43):
And then you ended up getting into the pharmaceutical businesses
and then the entrepreneurship part happened for you.

Speaker 6 (42:49):
And the entrepreneurship happened. So I was. I had got
promoted into the second company I was with. I was
finishing my doctorate degree at the time, I had my MBA.
I was number one in the company. I had ever
reward that they can give out in the company. When
I got to California, my boss had lunch with me
the first day and he looked at me and he says, oh,
I didn't know you're black. I said, yeah, I'm black. Yeah,

(43:09):
not thinking anything of it because I mean, why would
that even matter?

Speaker 8 (43:13):
Right?

Speaker 6 (43:14):
And a week later he started disapproving everything that was
previously approved.

Speaker 4 (43:18):
Wow, still happened.

Speaker 6 (43:19):
And at that point Devin, the character in the book, Devin,
he said to me, why are you working for someone?
You have all these degrees, right, And I started my
first company, which was medical recruiting company, and it became
extremely successful in the first six months. I mean I
literally worked my tail off every single day.

Speaker 4 (43:37):
And you had your daughter with you this all the
time too.

Speaker 2 (43:39):
Sometimes people who you know moms, feel like they can't
fathom how can they manage to do this? How did
you manage to do that having a young daughter and
then you had a son.

Speaker 6 (43:49):
Yeah, so this time I did not have my son.
I just had my daughter, but she was on my
hip everywhere I go. So everything I was doing sometimes
I'll have her. I mean I remember breastfeeding, putting my
makeup on, whatever it is I need to get done.
I was doing it when I had her.

Speaker 2 (44:02):
Right now, Jasmine Brandon and I are talking to doctor
Trisha Bailey, author of Unbroken. Let's talk about your investments
in some of these sports teams. So how did this
even come about?

Speaker 6 (44:12):
So it's basically you have to be invited into being
a minority owner for Verias Sports team, and so there's
the group basically like private equity group that comes together
invite you in to be one of the investors. So
that's how so I can't walk in these arenas and
be like, oh, I own your team, right?

Speaker 2 (44:27):
You can't, right, but you can't put in the biot's
see what are the teams hold on?

Speaker 6 (44:34):
Because I had a list a few of them, right, Yes,
the Charlotte Hornets, the Atlanta team, Atlanta Hawks, and Seattle.

Speaker 4 (44:42):
Do you go to the games? Do you have a
team you likes that I do?

Speaker 6 (44:44):
I actually go to Magic that so I have floor
seats in the Magic Game, and I sometimes forget that
I'm not supposed to be cheering for the Magic so
I'm supposed.

Speaker 4 (44:52):
To chairing from my team.

Speaker 6 (44:53):
I'm like, I'm sharing to I'm charing against my own
self interest here.

Speaker 2 (44:58):
But when it comes to your book, Unbroken, what are
some things that you've heard from people? First, I want
to ask you what you've heard that people have taken
from it, and then I want to know what you
yourself got from writing this.

Speaker 6 (45:10):
They say that I help them to share their own
trauma and to go get help. You allow me to
see that I can overcome my struggles and I can
also let go and forgive.

Speaker 4 (45:20):
And what did you get?

Speaker 6 (45:22):
I get to know that I am doing my calling,
I am living in my purpose in helping others.

Speaker 2 (45:27):
Well, Doctor Tricia Bailli, I'm Broken is available now, And
I tell you, guys, like you have to read this
book and it is going to put you through some things,
you know. But I also feel like we love the
fact that we can see you sitting here and know
how the story ends. Yes, it's a pleasure to be
able to talk to you. And you are definitely a
role model for anybody who is watching this to know

(45:47):
that you can make incredible things happen, and you certainly
have and so we appreciate you, and we celebrate you.

Speaker 3 (46:30):
I bought one audit one thing.

Speaker 4 (46:32):
What's that?

Speaker 3 (46:33):
A game console? Old school pack man? Oh, okay, with
thirteen fourteen games on it. I like that. I wanted
that for the house.

Speaker 2 (46:41):
All right, we're good, we love it. Well, it's still
cyber Monday, guys. So it's been hard. I actually had
to unsubscribe from all of these different places that email
me about sales. I was like, it's enough. I'm trying
not to buy things. But again, thank you to doctor
Tricia Bailly for joining us. She is the author of Unbroken.
Make sure you read her full story. She was attracted
than she went through a lot of abuse as a

(47:02):
child and then as an adult, even from relationships that
she was into becoming a successful billionaire in ahilanthropist.

Speaker 3 (47:08):
Yes, big billy Billy.

Speaker 2 (47:10):

light on my grandchildren that were falsely taken away from us,
just to know that I love them and I missed
