Speaker 4 (00:29):
We had an active weekend, so I know there's a
lot to discuss today. Yeah, a lot of like literal
fights and then some rap battles and slash rat battles.
A lot of people trending, so we'll discuss all of
that today. Plus we have a Naya joining us. She
has a new project out. It came out on Friday. Wait,
there's more. You know her for a sampling for the

(00:50):
Fantasia for her song for the Streets. That is amazing.
I like when people sing real things like that. All right,
but let's get into the show with some love and positivity.
Let's shine a light before we get into all these battles.
Eight hundred two nine fifty call usself. Let us know
who you want to spread and love to. Who do
you want to shine a light on its way up
a shine.

Speaker 5 (01:10):
Turn your lights on, y'all, spreading love to those who
are doing greatness.

Speaker 2 (01:15):
Light on them, Shine the light on. It's time to
shine a light on them.

Speaker 3 (01:21):
All right.

Speaker 4 (01:21):
It's way up on a Monday, and it's time to
spread some love because we need it right always be
that it's here, guests, all right, and let's shine a
light today on Brown Girl Jane.

Speaker 3 (01:32):
Actually have this perfume.

Speaker 4 (01:34):
It's the first black woman owned fine fragrance that's going
to be in Sephora's in Sophora now, oh wow, yeah,
so shout out to them. This brand actually is like
a wellness brand, but it's the first, like I said,
black woman down fine fragrance. And according to the founders,
they said, coupling Sephora's knowledge with our innovation and disruption
is I think a recipe for success at retail. And

(01:56):
my girl ty Bowtamp, you know ty Bowtamp, she's one
of the founders of that too. She's the chief brand
officer for the for Brown Girl Jane. She said, after
I spray your fragrance, I ask people what do you
feel with Carnival? The words are exuberant, dutful, excited, festive
and celebrated for yourself. They actually won a one hundred
thousand dollars cash prize and a year long mentorship for

(02:18):
the fifteen percent Pledge Galla in Los Angeles.

Speaker 3 (02:21):
They won that Sephora Beauty grant.

Speaker 2 (02:22):
So, oh, that's what's salt.

Speaker 4 (02:23):
They're in there now, So everybody go and support brown
girl Jane inside of Sephora.

Speaker 6 (02:28):
Isn't that dope?

Speaker 2 (02:29):
Is it made for a man?

Speaker 4 (02:31):
You can do whatever you want.

Speaker 3 (02:34):
You are my brown girl Jane.

Speaker 4 (02:35):
Alright, all right, Well, who do you guys want to
spread some love to and shine a light on? Eight
hundred and two nine two fifty one fifty prince, Who
do you want to shine a light on?

Speaker 7 (02:43):
I want to shine a.

Speaker 8 (02:44):
Light on myself sometimes, you know, I don't get myself
enough credit with things that I do because I don't
look for the athletes. As a person out there speaking
and advocating against mental health suicide prevention, I have a
nonprofit called Rudesho Alliance Suicide Prevention. I have a book
that's geared towards the.

Speaker 9 (03:02):
Projects where we were untreated with ADHD, depression, anxiety and
suicide audiation.

Speaker 8 (03:08):
So I want to shine a light on me.

Speaker 9 (03:10):
My book just came out and I'm having such a
great response with people coming back and saying how it's
changing their lives.

Speaker 8 (03:18):
I'm proud of you, girl, I'm proud of you.

Speaker 9 (03:20):
I was a big fan on the club, now I'm
a big fan now doing what you're.

Speaker 3 (03:24):
Doing well, thank you, Prince Cree. I appreciate that.

Speaker 4 (03:26):
And yet sometimes you do have to look back and
be like, I'm doing a lot, and I'm proud of
myself for all the accomplishments that I have and for
how I'm helping other people. I think that's the real test,
right when you're a servant for other people and doing
things that actually benefits others, that's the best feeling.

Speaker 8 (03:41):
Indeed, Indeed, how.

Speaker 3 (03:43):
Can people find you?

Speaker 9 (03:44):
Prince Creed Instagram at the Creative Underscore Prince, thank you, Angel,
I appreciate you, Sister.

Speaker 3 (03:51):
Thank you. I appreciate you too. Got us all right?

Speaker 4 (03:54):
Well, that was shining light and when we come back,
oh my god. Over the weekend I went to go
see Devin Haney versus Ryan Garcia.

Speaker 3 (04:02):
I know you watched to beat out.

Speaker 4 (04:03):
Oh yeah, I was there, and we'll talk about all
of the aftermath from that fight. It's way up it
in the rooms from industry shade.

Speaker 2 (04:11):
To all the gossip out and angelas.

Speaker 5 (04:13):
Spilling that.

Speaker 3 (04:16):
All right, his way up, I'm angela ye and beat
out his hair.

Speaker 4 (04:20):
All right, and let's get into some yet first up,
let's talk about Devin Haney versus Ryan Garcia at the
Barclays Man.

Speaker 3 (04:27):
Yes, and you know I was in the building.

Speaker 4 (04:29):
You know, Devin Haney was up here a couple of
times before this fight, and unfortunately he did lose to
Ryan Garcia. He lost pretty badly. You know, he got
knocked down three times.

Speaker 2 (04:38):
Yep.

Speaker 4 (04:39):
One judge though, did have it as a tie one twelve,
one twelve each. And people were discussing why though, because
Devin Haney did win and he was a more accurate puncher,
so he landed more punches. But Ryan Garcia's punches were
a lot harder, and he did catch him with that
left hook, which is what he's known for, and Devon
Haney himself said he couldn't avoid that. Here's what Devin
Haney had to say in the ring right after the fight.

Speaker 2 (05:00):
I was a perfect planner.

Speaker 10 (05:02):
I'm guess recording with my performances, but I'm sure that
I was that I was, you know, you champion and
that I can quite after being knocked down and hurt,
I fell asleep on one of that book we trained,
We trained for it, but I got in there and
I felt a sink and he comment with it he
didn't make weight, so I'm still I'm still the champion
and we.

Speaker 4 (05:19):
Could run it back, all right, And like you said,
he you know, Ryan Garcia didn't make weight, so he
doesn't get that belt.

Speaker 2 (05:26):
Right, it was even a title fight. That's crazy, yeah,
I mean.

Speaker 4 (05:29):
And they also had the opportunity to not do the
fight at all because part of the contract is you
have to make weight and he didn't, but they decided
to renegotiate that contract and still go ahead and have
the fight. Now here's what Ryan Garcia had to say
after that.

Speaker 8 (05:42):
Really going on in the world.

Speaker 11 (05:43):
Open your eyes and kids, me hurt, nobody killing. Everybody
looking at it like, oh, he's just crazy, he's a
conscuse this, this is that at the end of the day,
it was really and I'll just think that my reputation
online had everybody thinking almost crazy Weday, he was a
crazy one. Now or I'll walk through the fire and
still how down and still beat Devin and still drink
every day and still eating.

Speaker 2 (06:03):
Wow, he was faking the funk, Yeah, and he did.

Speaker 4 (06:07):
By the way, he also confirmed that he bet two
million dollars on himself for the fight, and one twelve
million is what he claims, And he said, bet on
yourself on top of what we made eating good about
fifty million probably more in one night, not too shabby.

Speaker 12 (06:22):
Well, I lost fifty betting on Devin, So you need
to cut me off some of that, PC man.

Speaker 4 (06:27):
Yeah, I wonder what that's like if you act like
you're mentally unstable and doing all of those things and
then bet on yourself because you end up coming in
as the underdog and then you know win for that.
So yes, like we said, Devin Haney was the more
accurate puncher, but Ryan Garcia definitely had more impact with
his punches. And here's what Bill Hainey, Devionhaney's father, had
to say on Live the day after the fight.

Speaker 13 (06:48):
We turned losses into lessons and turn them into blessings.
I did always say that I believe that Ryan Garcia
was a good fighter. I think he's an even better
TikToker or whatever. Because he fooled you guys thinking that
he was crazy. I knew that he wasn't crazy. It
was a good fight. Definitely want a rematch, all right.

Speaker 4 (07:06):
So it looks like a rematch maybe happening because both
fighters are calling for that.

Speaker 3 (07:11):
So we shall see.

Speaker 2 (07:12):
We shall see.

Speaker 3 (07:13):
Maybe a lot of people will watch that fight.

Speaker 2 (07:15):
Absolutely maybe it will be for the belt at.

Speaker 4 (07:16):
That point, and everybody talks about how Javonte Davis did
beat Ryan Garcia previously and was able to avoid those
those left hooks. So we'll see what happens. And that
is your yet. When we come back, we have about
last night. That's part of what I did over the weekend,
and you'll tell us what you did this weekend to
beat that. When we come back about last night, it's
way up.

Speaker 5 (07:37):
So about last night went down.

Speaker 3 (07:44):
All right, it's way up. I'm angela.

Speaker 4 (07:45):
Yeah, my guy beat at it, and it's about last
night time.

Speaker 14 (07:50):
Now.

Speaker 4 (07:50):
I told you, guys, I went to the fight over
the weekend at the Barclays and it was definitely a
good time. I would say it was sold out. Mike
Tyson was there, Roy Jones Junior was there. I saw
Joey Badass asap FERG five yeolfeurign. I think five y
O'forren has some type of scuffle outside. I saw that online.
I didn't see that in person, Okay, but yeah, shout

(08:12):
out to everybody who was at the fight.

Speaker 3 (08:14):
It was amazing.

Speaker 4 (08:15):
Clarissa Shields and then I saw a lot of people
were there who I didn't know were there until after
I left, and then I saw it on Instagram.

Speaker 2 (08:22):
I was there in spirit.

Speaker 4 (08:23):
Yeah, top Dog was there, Seventh Streeter. I didn't know
she was there and was in town and didn't tell me,
So shout out to her for being at the fight.
But my girl Ingrid I was with her and she
actually owns I Best Wine. So I also at my
coffee shop, had an event at my coffee shop for
that because guess what, we got our liquor license. Hey,
at my coffee shop, So that is a huge deal

(08:46):
for us. So shout out to everybody at coffee uplifts people.
We haven't implemented anything yet, but the plan moving forward
it is to make sure it's a total vibe nice
at my coffee shop. So that's what I did. What
about you beat up yesterday?

Speaker 12 (08:59):
Don't do anything. But I streamed the fight on bootleg
off the iPhone. And then I also caught Larry June
at terminal five. Yeah, it was a smoked out for
twenty event, so I caught Larry June doing the s
No you smoke, No, I don't. Okay, last time I smoked,
you remember what happened, Angela, Oh.

Speaker 3 (09:15):
It didn't go well.

Speaker 2 (09:16):

is now in the Hall of Fame.

Speaker 2 (09:27):
Yes, shout out to Q Tip.

Speaker 4 (09:30):
But anyway, we'll get to that later. Okay, Yeah, so
you don't smoke anymore?

Speaker 12 (09:33):
Yeah, I didn't, but everybody else around me was fried.
So you know, I caught Larry June. Alchemist came out,
you know, helped them out. So it was a good time.

Speaker 4 (09:40):
Okay, all right, we love it. Yeah, and yeah, like
you said, it was four to twenty. Well, anyway, when
we come back, that was about last night. Tell us

Speaker 3 (09:51):

Speaker 2 (13:03):

you couldn't get through, and when we come back.

Speaker 3 (13:35):
Quavo versus Chris Brown.

Speaker 4 (13:37):
This has been going on for so long, but now
Chris Brown has put out a dish track.

Speaker 3 (13:42):
I never thought I see this day. It's way up shore.

Speaker 2 (13:45):
She's about to blow the lid off this pot.

Speaker 5 (13:47):
Let's get it, angelus building that yeeze, Come and get
your tea.

Speaker 3 (13:51):
Who it's way up and there is some tea today.
Beat out?

Speaker 2 (13:55):
You ready? Beat out? Yes, I'm ready and beat out.

Speaker 4 (13:58):
We'll pick aside, all right, so let's see what that
is for yet Chris Brown versus Quavo.

Speaker 3 (14:04):
You know the two of them haven't gotten along for
quite some years.

Speaker 2 (14:07):
Yeah, it's a long history.

Speaker 3 (14:08):
It's a long history. But then people thought they made up.

Speaker 4 (14:10):
In January, they were at Paris Fashion Week, they were
sitting next to each other. But then Chris Brown, let
people know, f all that growth ish and we're not
finna fumbled my bag for little n words. So he
was saying he couldn't pick who he sat next to.
All right, well things are still happening.

Speaker 13 (14:24):
Now.

Speaker 4 (14:24):
Quavo did take some shots at Chris Brown on the
song Tender, and here's what he had to say. All right,
But Chris Brown then took some light shots back at
him on Freak on his eleven eleven deluxe album. Okay,
all right, it wasn't too crazy, right, just some little
light shots. But now he took some heavier ones. And

(14:47):
this song is called Weakest Link. This is Chris Brown.
It's really a whole this song at Quavo. And here
is how we started it off with this voicemail that
is allegedly from Quavo.

Speaker 7 (14:57):
Thank rig.

Speaker 10 (15:00):
Bro.

Speaker 15 (15:00):
I don't want no modes, I don't want biting, I
don't want do nothing birth like.

Speaker 3 (15:06):
Wow.

Speaker 2 (15:06):
Wow. The cover's crazy too. Got him eating a hot dog,
a grizzy a glizzy wow.

Speaker 3 (15:11):
All right.

Speaker 4 (15:12):
And then after that it looks like Chris Brown had
some things to say about Quavo's ex girlfriend Suweety.

Speaker 6 (15:20):
Here's what he said.

Speaker 1 (15:22):
Quevo talking like kid dougs, You're gonna do a pippy dreads.
You can't wait to see today that you back up
all the day shit you see solid bas you talking
you ain't no. So then the week is slink got
it your quick Let's keep it a hone.

Speaker 2 (15:33):
Over against egg gloss.

Speaker 1 (15:34):
So that's cool. I don't give no o flows to
this because eggs when you will still with have pipped upload.

Speaker 2 (15:39):
They say revengeance sweets.

Speaker 1 (15:41):
Now think about this. You don't let that line go
over your head. I might just sing about this.

Speaker 2 (15:46):
Wow.

Speaker 4 (15:46):
Imagine you one of these ladies just sitting at home
money your business. Maybe you're at the gym working, and
then this happens and you'r ment just stop blowing up
and you're like, I have nothing to do with nothing.

Speaker 2 (15:54):
Yeah.

Speaker 12 (15:55):
Well, women always are in the middle of R and
BF beef or a rat beef for that man.

Speaker 4 (16:01):
And you know some of these little allegations that there
might be some tea that she also spilled during that
time that sweetish allegedly according to this song. Now here's
what else Chris Brown had to say on Weakest Link
as far as the domestic violence allegations and things.

Speaker 1 (16:18):
I'll put a mego on a ventilator. We stopped talking
about beating girls. You were beating snips on the elevator.
We've seen the taste that's devastating you. Doing mad, you
will shift to your music trash fashion week. They set
me next to your laying mass. I was truly mad,
and I kept thinking Bible was breaking your face.

Speaker 2 (16:31):
But I gave you a pass. She lucky.

Speaker 1 (16:32):
I an't want to up the money your boy would
have broke you and half quick.

Speaker 3 (16:36):
Wow.

Speaker 4 (16:37):
Well, first of all, you know, very mature both of
them to sit next to each other knowing they can't
stand each other.

Speaker 2 (16:42):
How awkward is that? That had to be really awkward?

Speaker 3 (16:46):
All right?

Speaker 4 (16:46):
And then this Now, listen, you and I had a
conversation about this. I feel like this is you say
nothing is too far and rat beef. Yes, I feel
like this was kind of inappropriate, especially if you're trying
to pay homage to take off. This is you know,
let's leave that alone because he's no longer with this.
But here's what he said, a rope take off.

Speaker 2 (17:03):
He'd the only real one that got you respect.

Speaker 1 (17:05):
Crazy how when he died everybody really wished it was
you a state?

Speaker 2 (17:09):
Ouch, damn, come on, all's fair in love and hip hop?

Speaker 7 (17:13):
Right?

Speaker 3 (17:14):
That hurt my heart? And I get it.

Speaker 4 (17:16):
You know it's a this song, I'm a I'm a woman,
I'm an EmPATH and I definitely was like, all right,
I don't know, I wouldn't have brought that up right
everything else. And you know what, as a woman too,
I also don't like bringing other women into the beef,
like some private things that happened behind the scenes. But
beef is beef, I guess, and there's nothing I could
could really say about that.

Speaker 2 (17:34):
But you know, yeah, this one seems.

Speaker 3 (17:37):
To make me feel uncomfortable.

Speaker 2 (17:38):
It's a disrecord.

Speaker 3 (17:40):
All right.

Speaker 4 (17:41):
Well, Sweetie is taking it well because she actually may
go in and write rewrite some of her verses.

Speaker 2 (17:46):
She can be there for a while.

Speaker 4 (17:47):
Let me go rewrite these ninety verses. She has a
new single that she's been teasing, and so maybe she's
gonna have something to say about that.

Speaker 3 (17:54):
But she seems unbothered. And what else can you do?

Speaker 2 (17:57):
You can't do nothing.

Speaker 4 (17:58):
Yeah, what happens happens? All right, Well, that is so
far some of your updates. I'm sure there's going to
be more. Oh yeah, for sure that are coming. And
we do got to talk about Drake later on in yet.
But in the meantime, I mean, how appropriate let's place
in Chris Brown before we get into Under the Radar
it's way up news.

Speaker 5 (18:13):
This in the news that relates to you. These stories
are flying under the radar.

Speaker 3 (18:18):
It's way up.

Speaker 4 (18:19):
Amanda Layee beat out his here under the radar. Today's
a big day because Trump's trial starts today. He's facing
thirty four counts of falsifying business records related to the
hush money payment to adult film actress Stormy Daniels. And
so we are waiting to see what those opening statements
are today. All right, all right, and today's also Earth Day. Hey, yes,

(18:41):
so experts are addressing America's climate change action. This is
an annual opportunity for citizens, experts, and lawmakers to celebrate
the planet but also examine our impact on the changing environment.
I tell you I did get solar panels in my house.

Speaker 2 (18:55):
Okay, Captain Planet.

Speaker 4 (18:56):
I mean I want to try to figure out ways
I can do that will be beneficial.

Speaker 3 (19:01):
I think if everybody does that, you know, can be helpful.

Speaker 4 (19:04):
I do want to get an electric vehicle, but it's
hard in New York to find the charging station exactly.
My brother has an electric vehicle, so he's always like, oh,
I can't come right now.

Speaker 2 (19:13):
I got a charge with the car.

Speaker 4 (19:15):
Yeah, so there, But climate experts are warning that there's
going to be larger and more severe weather because of
the effects of climate change. And we've seen that happening,
you know how they'd be like, this was the hottest
you know, winter ever on record, and all kinds of things.
So we got to make sure that we start thinking
about that. We should have been thinking about that collectively. Yes,
all right? And David Beckham issuing Mark Wahlberg for ten

(19:37):
million dollars. That sound a good vibration, right, they're saying
that that David Beckham's dB Ventures claims that he was
duped by Mark Wahlberg. He said he lost ten million
dollars out of pocket when stocks that he would promised
weren't given to him until the stock price is plummeted.
And that's for this company F forty five Training, So

(19:58):
he has a thirty six percent in trist And and
he's the chief branding officer for that. Mark Wahlberg is,
and I guess Beckham has appeared in some of the
social media posts promoting the brand. Those posts have since
been deleted, and Mark Wahlberg wants them to dismiss the
case and say that the claims of fraudulent conduct are baseless.

Speaker 2 (20:17):
Wow, yes, Beam, just get Chris Brown, right, I'm a distract.

Speaker 4 (20:21):
Oh can you imagine another beef, this beef all around
the world this weekend?

Speaker 3 (20:25):
All right, well that is you're under the radar now.

Speaker 13 (20:27):
You know.

Speaker 4 (20:27):
We got the Way Up mix at the top of
the hour and we have Anaya joining us her new project. Wait,
there's more is out. We love that flip that she did.
A fantasious song. Yeah for the streets. All right, so
let's party on a Monday. Let's get our energy up people,
Let's go. It's way up, just like the tout like
they Angela Jean, like they Angela Jean.

Speaker 5 (20:49):
Man, she's spilling it all. This is yet way up.

Speaker 3 (20:54):
Way up.

Speaker 4 (20:55):
It's Angela yee and beat out here for I'm this
is this.

Speaker 3 (21:00):
Is your realm right here.

Speaker 4 (21:01):
We're going to get into all of this Drake, Kendrick, Lamar, Kanye,
all of these things. But first, before we get into
Tom Foolery, shout out to everybody who got inducted into
the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. That includes the
legendary Try Call Quest, Yes, the legendary Mary J. Blige,
the legendary Cool in the Gang, and the legendary Dion Warwick.

(21:22):
Shout out to all of them for being inducted amongst
the others. Awesome, well deserved, yes, well deserved. All right,
now let's get into the town foolery. So Drake has
put out a tailor made freestyle disc track. Yes, this
was a little different because he used AI to summon
Tupac as well as Snoop Dogg for the song What'd
you think of it?

Speaker 2 (21:42):
I liked it?

Speaker 3 (21:43):
You did?

Speaker 2 (21:43):
I liked it, loved it?

Speaker 3 (21:45):
You loved it?

Speaker 2 (21:45):
Yes?

Speaker 3 (21:46):
What did you love about it?

Speaker 12 (21:47):
I love the fact it was a little bit creative,
it was unexpected, and I just loved the fact that
he put it on the social platform so everyone to
get it was just dope.

Speaker 4 (21:53):
I think the idea of it was a good idea
using AI because everybody was thinking AI tracks and all
of this and why not do that?

Speaker 3 (22:00):
But the song in particular was it?

Speaker 6 (22:02):
You think I don't know?

Speaker 4 (22:03):
All right, Well, let's hear some op right now, here's
some tailla made. Here is where he summoned Tupac.

Speaker 2 (22:09):
Did you We need You?

Speaker 17 (22:10):
The West Coast sad At Grady your name and same
hip hop history and they deal with this basically you
seem a little nervous about all the public. We need
to know the baby the West Coast Big three man
called him to me.

Speaker 4 (22:25):
Yeah, all right, now here is and and you know
we're not gonna play Snoop right now.

Speaker 3 (22:29):
But Snoop did also way in like they did what
we see a lot.

Speaker 12 (22:33):
Of people were upset because they used the AI for
Tupac and Stoop. But I'm like, this thing has been
done before, sort of like I remember on the Roots Project,
the Tipping Point and the song Boom Black Thought rap.

Speaker 2 (22:45):
Like Big Daddy Kane and Kogie Rap.

Speaker 12 (22:47):
People thought that was actually done, but it was just
Black Thought rapping in there saying kanus and.

Speaker 2 (22:51):
Voice right right.

Speaker 3 (22:53):
I think it's also because it's a drake.

Speaker 4 (22:54):
And yeah, the topic of it using a West Coast
rapper to go well Tupac was really but you know
we consider.

Speaker 3 (23:01):
Him that and to go at Kendrick I think was
an issue too.

Speaker 12 (23:05):
Right, Yeah, I mean it's like the eight mile effect.
He's just using other people to talk about himself. I
remember fifty Cent did it when he was this in
game on that on that disc still not not rich,
still lying back in the day.

Speaker 2 (23:16):
So things like that have been done. All right.

Speaker 3 (23:18):
Well, here's Drake on the tailor may Free Style.

Speaker 2 (23:21):
I love it when you're tall.

Speaker 8 (23:22):
Like I'm not in the room.

Speaker 3 (23:23):
It's just like that, you're tall, changed.

Speaker 2 (23:25):
A little, you know, how will you not in the booth?
It feels like you kind of removed.

Speaker 7 (23:30):
Down.

Speaker 2 (23:33):
Not this job?

Speaker 4 (23:34):
Follow it through?

Speaker 3 (23:35):
And people keep saying that Kendrick does have something ready.
Have you heard that?

Speaker 2 (23:39):
I've heard it. I just know that have you heard
that that? People have been saying, yeah, I've heard the rumors. Okay,
I just know that this is an angry Canadian.

Speaker 4 (23:46):
Right, And he basically also says that Kendrick is waiting
for Taylor Swift's you know, to die down from her
Touch of Poets album that just came out.

Speaker 3 (23:56):
That did insane nothing.

Speaker 2 (23:57):
It's going to run the charts all right.

Speaker 4 (23:59):
Well, in addition to that, Kanye has inserted himself into
all of the drama. Not hey, come on, and he
is on the like that remix. And here's what that
sounds like.

Speaker 3 (24:10):
It's niggens.

Speaker 2 (24:11):
Where's Lucy wn? Serve your masks and rutans?

Speaker 16 (24:14):
You caught a little bag for your mass It's didn't
your lifetime feld like the bath and again, y'are so.

Speaker 2 (24:21):
Out of sight, out of mind.

Speaker 16 (24:24):
I can't even think of a Drake Lane played Jake
Cole get them.

Speaker 1 (24:28):
Dry played Its back one hundred and thirty times.

Speaker 2 (24:33):
All right, Lucien, Lucien Grange.

Speaker 3 (24:35):
Yes, who's that? For people who are listening in.

Speaker 2 (24:38):
He's the boss of all bosses. He runs a Universal
music All right.

Speaker 4 (24:41):
Well, let's actually skip over to Kanye talking about who
Lucien is while he was on Justin the Boys the
Download podcast.

Speaker 16 (24:50):
Drake has a rich baby daddy named Lucien and Universal.
He's like, you know, like, man, my daddy got it.

Speaker 2 (24:56):
You know what I'm saying. It's like my daddy controlled
the spins, my daddy got the DSPs. My daddy. Drake
has a rich baby daddy named Lucian.

Speaker 16 (25:04):
So all of his streams and the number ones it's
controlled by someone named Lucian.

Speaker 2 (25:08):
Well, Lucien work for people who control the banks in Africa.

Speaker 3 (25:14):
Okay, you got a rich baby daddy.

Speaker 2 (25:18):
I'm a middle class baby daddies.

Speaker 4 (25:20):
But Kanye also said the Future was the person that
called him to actually do this remix.

Speaker 2 (25:23):
Here is what he said, Well called me.

Speaker 16 (25:25):
I went to the studio laid that and then we
you know, went through the you know, the creative process
and the course and called the hooligans called him out
in London to get on and joint. And you know,
everybody is very very excited about the elimination of Drake.

Speaker 2 (25:40):
That excited we was energized the elimination of Drake trying
to stay.

Speaker 3 (25:45):
This happened.

Speaker 2 (25:45):
You're trying to stay It like a Canadian coup against
Drake man. What's going on?

Speaker 3 (25:49):
Oh my gosh? Well, anyway, that is your yeete.

Speaker 4 (25:51):
So much more we could talk about, but remember when
it was all good, when it was future Drake Thames.

Speaker 3 (25:57):
Wait for you the song that.

Speaker 4 (25:58):
We played nutsat that we're gonna play right now, right
before we get into ask Yee eight hundred two ninety
two fifty one fifty.

Speaker 3 (26:04):
Here's some future drinking towns.

Speaker 2 (26:05):
Did it? Hey?

Speaker 5 (26:06):
Everybody, whether it's relationship for Kreer advice, Angela's dropping facts, you.

Speaker 3 (26:11):
Should know this is ask gee. What's up? His way
up with Angela Yee?

Speaker 4 (26:15):
I'm Angela Yee and my guy journalists extraordinarior beat out
his here with me today.

Speaker 3 (26:19):
Yes, I am all right and it's time for ask Yee.

Speaker 4 (26:22):
Eight hundred two ninet two fifty one fifty and today
we have Maria on the line.

Speaker 3 (26:26):
What's that Maria? Hi, hey girl, So what is your
question today?

Speaker 14 (26:32):
My boyfriend taught me how to bet on sports, and
I made a crazy bet over the weekend for the bite. Okay,
I lost a thousand dollars and I'm afraid to tell him.

Speaker 7 (26:43):
I don't know how to tell.

Speaker 15 (26:45):
Him that I messed up.

Speaker 4 (26:46):
Well, the thing about betting is you're not going to
always win, and he did teach you how to bet,
and anybody who thinks and bets that you're always gonna win,
I mean, it's just yeah, the fact is that I'm
sure he's lost sometimes.

Speaker 14 (26:59):
But he also told me that when I'm learning to
I should gets small, vital lousy.

Speaker 2 (27:05):
I mean, like a sports beating apprenticeship.

Speaker 4 (27:07):
You know, right, you're learning and guess what, this was
a good lesson and you and you know what, sometimes
we just got to be like you were right, bay.

Speaker 3 (27:16):
Okay, I guess telling him he's right, Yeah, that is
the best thing to do. You have to be like, look, baby,
you was right. I messed up, and should I do
something nice to balance it out?

Speaker 7 (27:27):
I got a.

Speaker 2 (27:28):
Thousand different things you could do. You know, it's a
family show.

Speaker 3 (27:32):
Listen. Don't you go and get addicted either.

Speaker 4 (27:35):
We don't want you to have no gambling problem after
my gosh, no, I learned my lesson this time and.

Speaker 3 (27:41):
All you could do right now because it was your
money you lost right now, his it was a little
bit of his.

Speaker 14 (27:46):
That's why it's a problem.

Speaker 4 (27:50):
Well, listen, Hopefully if your man is a good sport,
he would think it's funny too, as long as you're apologetic,
and you can apologize because sometimes we have to.

Speaker 3 (27:58):
Be like you clear more than me. I should have listened,
so you know you got this.

Speaker 2 (28:05):
He's never gonna let it down.

Speaker 3 (28:06):
Yeah, he's gonna bring it up a lot.

Speaker 4 (28:08):
You gotta be able to kind of just say I
was wrong, you were right, and maybe you do something
nice for him. Maybe that's you know, take him to dinner,
and take him to dinner someplace cheap because you're a
little broke right now.

Speaker 3 (28:19):
Yeah, I gotta be nice without spending any more money.

Speaker 4 (28:21):
Yes, you gotta be nice. So maybe it's gonna be
ordering in or making some food at home. You should
get him a card too. Nobody does that anymore. Go
to the store, get a card, a funny card, and
right inside what happened, and let him know that's good.

Speaker 3 (28:36):
Yeah, that's cute and funny.

Speaker 2 (28:38):
I got it.

Speaker 12 (28:38):
I got it Like roses a red violets are blue.
I blew your money, but I still love you.

Speaker 2 (28:44):
Something like that.

Speaker 3 (28:46):
Roses are red, violets of blue, just like the money.
I bleue not doing what you told me to do.

Speaker 4 (28:51):
There you go, all right, all right, watch out harmark,
but honestly do something cute like that and admitting that
you are wrong.

Speaker 3 (29:00):
Sometimes it is what it is.

Speaker 4 (29:02):
Learn my lesson, and don't you call back here next week?
Talk about you place another bet and lost? Okay, all right,
thank you, good luck, okay, thank you, no problem.

Speaker 2 (29:14):
She won't do that no more.

Speaker 3 (29:15):
Man, Devin Handy owes us some money.

Speaker 2 (29:17):
Yeah, man, I lost fifty. I don't feel that bad anymore.

Speaker 4 (29:19):
Shout out to Devin Haney though. All right, well eight
hundred two ninety two fifty one fifty. In case you
couldn't get through for ask you you can always leave
a message or answer your questions that way. And when
we come back, we have Anaya joining us. You know,
she has a new album out. Wait there's more, but
she says, an amazing person to talk to. You're gonna
love her story. She's been through a lot and she's hilarious,
but also at the same time just I think I

(29:42):
feel really connected to her because of how she wears
her emotions on her sleeve.

Speaker 3 (29:45):
It's way up.

Speaker 2 (29:46):
About to do this?

Speaker 5 (29:47):
Yeah, yeah, more, Way up with Angela on now what
it is?

Speaker 3 (29:54):
What's up?

Speaker 4 (29:54):
As way up with Angela Yee? I'm Angela Yee. And
it's a celebration.

Speaker 3 (29:58):
We got a naya here. Congratulate young girl. Thank you.
The album is out right now.

Speaker 4 (30:03):
Wait, there's more, you know, because first of all, I'm
excited that you're here. Love your spirit, love your music.

Speaker 6 (30:09):
I'm excited to be you know.

Speaker 3 (30:10):
We got a toast to this.

Speaker 6 (30:12):
Chairs cheers the way, there's more.

Speaker 3 (30:13):
Let's go.

Speaker 7 (30:15):
Now.

Speaker 4 (30:16):
I see the ring on the finger, So I see that.
So that's an engagement ring. We saw a few months
ago there was an actual engagement that went viral. Everybody said, congratulations,
Is that what that is?

Speaker 12 (30:27):
So?

Speaker 3 (30:28):
Can we celebrate and toasted that too? Is that what
that is?

Speaker 6 (30:30):
Is that an engagement ring?

Speaker 3 (30:31):
Wait, there's more, wait for it. I'm gonna toasted that now.
But honestly, you gotta be having like the best time
right now.

Speaker 4 (30:39):
You have two children, too busy, and then for you
being at home with y'all man, he's Jamaican, he is
girl Yoh should I say fiancee.

Speaker 3 (30:49):
We all get used to saying that I seen the video, okay.

Speaker 4 (30:53):
With your fiancee? So all right, well then let's talk
about some of these songs. In that case, you have
to chant us some other energy. I mean, even right now,
hot sauce, I know this feeling. Tell your mama I
don't like her ni, because sometimes when gods are doing
you dirty.

Speaker 3 (31:12):
The family knows.

Speaker 6 (31:13):
The mama be knowing. The mama knows when she and
Roy's ain't trial. And a lot of the times when
she also knows when her son has done something wrong
and he go running back home, she'll be on his
side like, well, he's just not ready and he thirty five?

Speaker 3 (31:27):
What you mean he ain't ready?

Speaker 1 (31:29):
Right?

Speaker 4 (31:29):
Listen, So you have a thirteen year old boy, dude, right,
so you're always going to go to bad for your
son no matter who he's dating, though, right, You're gonna.

Speaker 6 (31:37):
True however, I teach, I'm for real, I I feel
you on that. But I teach my boy's accountability.

Speaker 4 (31:43):
Right now, we're talking to Anya. She's got her debut album. Wait,
there's more out right now. Now, how do you explain
to your fiance when he listens to your music and
then y'all gotta have conversations cause that is like your diary.

Speaker 6 (31:55):
Yeah, it's funny that you ask that, because he will
not watch Sugar Daddy video to this day. Really, he
won't watch it. He hates the song. He don't want
to hear it. Like, first of all, he had no
idea who I was when we met. That's just beautiful
in itself because there's no you know, suspicion of ulterior
motive or anything like that. How did you gradiatorial? We
met at my baby daddy house.

Speaker 3 (32:14):
And I loved it. Please continue, let me have some movie.

Speaker 6 (32:22):
They're not friends, first of all, let's make that very clear.
They were not friends.

Speaker 3 (32:26):
It ain't no Porsche Falin situation.

Speaker 6 (32:29):
It was a kickback and I went over there. I
had just did like a twelve hour session at the studio,
went to go pick up my son and his uncle
was like, now you come kick it. We having a
little you know. I was like, oh, I don't like
y'all like that. I'm trying to give my son and bounce,
you know. And it was just one of those situations
where friends of friends of friends invited other friends. And
as I was leaving the party, Jay was walking into
the party. And that's how that's how we met.

Speaker 3 (32:50):
Did you turn back around?

Speaker 7 (32:51):
Like?

Speaker 6 (32:52):
I was like, eyes, I can stay for a little bit,
a little bit longer. I ain't never seen you about.
I had to make sure that there was no friendship
or any you know, okaypet him and yeah. And then
a couple of days after that, he pursued me and
was asking for my number and things like that, and
I didn't want to give it to him because I
was just like, it's still a little too close for comfort,
you know. And he was just like, man, look, I

(33:13):
don't care about none of it. Then I ain't into them, y'all.
I've been separated for a long y'all. Ain't been together for.

Speaker 3 (33:20):
Over five years.

Speaker 6 (33:21):
So I let him take me out on a date
and i've one the first night, and now we're getting married.

Speaker 3 (33:29):
That can happen for you. Where was the first day?
And I don't regret it at his house?

Speaker 6 (33:35):
You should have regretted in his living room.

Speaker 4 (33:37):
You didn't mind going to so y'all must have really
been like having a vibe to even feel comfortable to
go to somebody's house on the first day, nasty.

Speaker 6 (33:46):
I truly believe that the first time we saw each
other it was it was love at first day.

Speaker 4 (33:52):
Wow.

Speaker 3 (33:53):
And he feels the same way.

Speaker 6 (33:54):
Absolutely. I'm head over heres madly in love and he
is too.

Speaker 3 (34:00):
All right.

Speaker 4 (34:00):
Anaya is here. You know her single that sample's Fantasia
for the Streets. Her album Wait There's More is out now,
and we have more with her when we come back.
It's way up, yeah, y'all, more way up with now?

Speaker 2 (34:16):
What's up?

Speaker 7 (34:17):
His?

Speaker 3 (34:17):
Way up?

Speaker 4 (34:17):
With Angela Yee? I'm Angela Yee. And Anaia is here.
You've seen her on the Mispatch Show. You've heard her music,
her album Wait There's Mores out right now?

Speaker 13 (34:25):
Now?

Speaker 4 (34:25):
What about when it went viral that you got engaged
in November? That wasn't you that put it up? Somebody
posted that I did, and somebody else did, and everybody
was like, congratulations, that's amazing, you deserve it, so on
and so forth.

Speaker 3 (34:37):
But was that a moment that you didn't want people to.

Speaker 6 (34:39):
It was so beautiful and sacred and special, and I
just couldn't believe that God had finally allowed me to
meet my husband. That I wanted to soak that up privately.
I wasn't ready to share it.

Speaker 4 (34:54):
But right now we're talking to Anaya. She's got her
debut album. Wait, there's more out right now. How did
you know that you were that you had postpartum girl,
because I wasn't me Because.

Speaker 3 (35:09):
Some people don't know, like they're suffering from it and
have no idea what's wrong.

Speaker 6 (35:12):
Oh, I knew. I knew I was outside of myself,
so I could tell that you know something was wrong.
It's a form of it's depression. It's a form of depression.
I felt completely consumed by motherhood. I couldn't get back
to me. I couldn't I couldn't write any Oh, I'm
getting emotional. Why I was get emotional when I talk
about this. I couldn't create any music. I couldn't need this.

(35:35):
I was breastfeeding, so my baby was completely dependent on
me at the time. It was a moment where I
had actually went mute because I couldn't find anything worth
saying or worth speaking about. Oh, God, I'm too gangster
for the Angela.

Speaker 3 (35:52):
It's okay.

Speaker 4 (35:53):
You know what, this is helpful for other people because
this is real life. You know how many women go
through postpartum depression. Some of them, unfortunately, can't even identify
what's wrong. Sometimes it with somebody who has no idea
what's happening with them. Yeah, So to be able to
see some of these signs and know that it's nothing
that you know, to know what it is so that
you know how to handle it, I think is important.

Speaker 6 (36:14):
Yeah, for sure, because it was a new, unfamiliar space.
I didn't experience that with my thirteen year old. I
bounced right back, My body bounced back, my skin cleared up.
I didn't have any issues. I didn't feel sexy, I
didn't feel desired. I was like tripping out on Jay
and he was, Oh, Jay was my rock. He kept
me sane.

Speaker 3 (36:36):
That's how you know, that's real love. Though, that's the
one for somebody.

Speaker 4 (36:39):
Yeah, to be able, because that's you know, that's it's
hard for him to have to deal with as Yeah,
it's harder for you always. So it was fair to say, Yeah,
it's fair to say that it affects everybody because he
that was his first time having to deal with postpartum too.

Speaker 6 (36:54):
