the past few days because the fact that this moment
even actually happened has had me blushingly speechless, but simultaneously
(04:51):
wanting to pour my heart out in a way that
would carry the weight of what you mean to me
and accurately reflect my emotions and gratitude. So she went
on to say, thank you for many support me at
my show, and thank you for the many sees you planted.
Now hopefully I'll be able to give you your flowers one
by one as we grow closer and heart together.

without the referees calling it, and Lebron reposted it and said,
crazy thing is I hate me too.

I just want to skal a babies in the story
to see if he said anything else. He hasn't said

Speaker 2 (16:22):
I like them.
Speaker 4 (16:23):
They're gonna get themselves in trouble though. All right now,
little Uzzi bert is saying that they were never doing
Rolling Loud.
Speaker 5 (16:30):
There was a lineup announcement.
Speaker 4 (16:32):
I saw that, and little Uzzi said, I never said,
I was doing Rolling Loud. Don't understand why my name
is on here, and it's not just on this, it's
on their huge headliner.
Speaker 2 (16:41):
Huge Gotta sell those tickets, all right.
Speaker 4 (16:44):
And Terrence Howard is talking about making twelve thousand dollars
from Hustle and Flow and only six thousand dollars from Crash.
He was talking about the actors strike, and people always
think when you see these movies, you see these actors that.
Speaker 2 (16:57):
Are making millions of money.
Speaker 4 (17:00):
Well, he was talking to Alex Coleman on Live at nine,
and here's what he said.
Speaker 18 (17:04):
I made twelve thousand dollars for doing Hustle and Flow,
and then on top of it, with Paramount there instead
of putting my name as Terrence Howard performing the songs
they put performed by DJ, well they own DJ. So
guess what the performance royalties went to Paramount. So now
I gotta sue Paramount or send them a letter to say, hey,
(17:27):
you guys owe me about twenty years worth of residuals
and performance royalties. I made six thousand dollars doing Crash.
Speaker 4 (17:34):
You know, But that's why it does make sense for
actors to be able to you never know how a
movie's gonna do, but if it does well, you should
also be able to get paid on that action.
Speaker 6 (17:43):
Yeah, now, hustleflow. He was a very important character and
had important role in this movie.
Speaker 5 (17:49):
So absolutely, I don't remashed too.
Speaker 7 (17:51):
I don't really remember.
Speaker 4 (17:52):
That's different sketches or not sketches, but like shorts, okay, gotcha? Okay,
all right, Well that is your yeetee, and you know
when we can come back. We do have under the radar.
These are the stories that are not necessarily in the headlines.
These stories are flying under the radar, but we want
to make sure that you know about them because they
are just as important.
Speaker 7 (18:10):
You hear, my voice is gone.
Speaker 5 (18:11):
It's way up at Angela yee.
Speaker 8 (18:13):
It's the news news. This is the news that relates
to you. These stories are flying under the radar.
Speaker 5 (18:19):
What's up.
Speaker 4 (18:20):
It's way up at Angela. Ye, I'm angela yee. Jasmine
Brand is here, what's up a? Keen Woods is here?
So my voice is not all the way here and
we are doing under the radar, right. These are the
stories that are not necessarily in the headlines, but they're
very important anyway. Now, Uber is cracking down on fake
complaints you know how you can complain and then you
get like a refund. Well, they said they feel like
(18:40):
Uber sides with customers when it comes to complaints that
causes them to lose access to their account.
Speaker 5 (18:46):
And so right now they're going to make.
Speaker 4 (18:48):
Sure allegations will not be considered in driver's ratings or
deactivation decisions.
Speaker 7 (18:53):
We'll trying to make it more fair.
Speaker 4 (18:55):
That's about because people complain on Uber each they'll say
things that are missing from their order. There's a lot
of things that people do to try to save a
few dollars, but it does affect people.
Speaker 5 (19:04):
You know, those ratings do matter.
Speaker 4 (19:05):
Yeah, that's good, all right. Now, this is not an opinion.
This is a fact. Newark Airport has the most flat
cancelations in the United States.
Speaker 5 (19:14):
That is number one for flag cancelations.
Speaker 2 (19:17):
Do they have number two?
Speaker 6 (19:18):
Yeah, they do, and I can say this is accurate.
Number two is definitely accurate for me.
Speaker 5 (19:22):
LaGuardia and then JFK.
Speaker 6 (19:23):
Yeah, I fly out of LaGuardia a lot, and I
feel like there's always like a delay or something.
Speaker 5 (19:28):
It's just New York in general, New York in general.
Speaker 2 (19:31):
Jesus.
Speaker 4 (19:31):
So that's interesting information because we are in New York.
Speaker 6 (19:35):
Yeah, and I love LaGuardia, but I do have issues
a lot there.
Speaker 2 (19:40):
I do too. I'm flying LaGuardia next week.
Speaker 4 (19:42):
You want to hear what's crazy? Number four is Buffalo,
so that's New York, Jersey. And then number five is
Norfolk and then Fort Lauderdale, Dallas love Field Airport, then
Boston and then Dallas Fort Worth.
Speaker 5 (19:54):
And then Milwaukee.
Speaker 7 (19:55):
Interesting.
Speaker 4 (19:56):
Okay, wow, I want to know Chicago would be up
there because of the weather.
Speaker 7 (20:00):
Yeah, I would think that too.
Speaker 4 (20:01):
Yeah, all right, And Valenciaga has a new skirt. It's
nine hundred and twenty five dollars. But all it is
is a towel.
Speaker 7 (20:07):
I would say the headline. I was going to say,
it really looks like a towel.
Speaker 2 (20:12):
That looks ridiculous.
Speaker 7 (20:13):
The pants don't come under it, just the just the towel.
Speaker 4 (20:16):
If there's any brand that will get you to spend
a ton of money for something basic, it's Balenciaga.
Speaker 5 (20:22):
They have some nice things, but then they.
Speaker 4 (20:24):
Had some pretty viral weird products, like a trash bag.
They had earrings that was shoelaces. They did have the crocs,
remember with the little heel.
Speaker 5 (20:34):
Yeah, yeah, yeah, of that. But anyway, let's see who
buys that.
Speaker 4 (20:39):
Okay, you know, because I feel like somebody will remember
when those big mischief boots were a.
Speaker 5 (20:43):
Thing and everybody in a house.
Speaker 4 (20:46):
Yeah, well, Valenciaga, you've done it again, and that is
your under the radar. Now, we do have The Way
Up Mixed coming at the top of the hour and
it is a Wealth of Wednesday. So we do have
Carter Coolefield joining us. He's going to be telling you
some tips to save on your taxes. He also has
a free book that's available to our listeners. It's the
way you put Angela yee the.
Speaker 8 (21:05):
Rooms from industry shade to all of gosp out Angela's feeling.
Speaker 5 (21:10):
That yeez, It's the way I put Angela yee. I'm
Angela Yee. Jasmine brand is here.
Speaker 3 (21:15):
I'm not just any brand, I'm my own brand.
Speaker 4 (21:18):
Keen widzs is here. Sorry about my voice, guys, y'all
working me too hard. But let's get into some of yet.
Speaker 2 (21:26):
Now.
Speaker 4 (21:26):
We hadn't discussed this earlier, but Will Smith's former assistant
and quote ex best friend brother Blao, went on Tasha
K's show and had some things to say about what
he walked in on He said, he walked in on
Dwayne Martin and Will Smith.
Speaker 5 (21:41):
Here's the original interview.
Speaker 20 (21:43):
I opened the door to dwayne dressing room and that's
when I see Dwayne and having angle sex with Will.
There was a couch and Will was over on the
couch and Dwayne was standing up killing him.
Speaker 5 (21:55):
I mean, he said murder.
Speaker 7 (21:57):
He said kill.
Speaker 14 (21:57):
What's the most aggressive way I've ever heard anyone talk
about sound appealing?
Speaker 4 (22:01):
It doesn't sound fun at all, but I guess a
lot of things about sex and women.
Speaker 5 (22:04):
They say I'll beat it up, and I'm like, I'm
very aggressive.
Speaker 7 (22:07):
I don't want you to beat it up. I want
okay anyway, all right.
Speaker 4 (22:09):
Well, Data Pickett Smith has sense to respond it on
the Breakfast Club. Here's what he had to say about
these allegations.
Speaker 21 (22:16):
It's ridiculous and it's nonsense.
Speaker 4 (22:19):
And this is a person that tried to shake down
a money shakedown that didn't work.
Speaker 7 (22:24):
We're going to take legal action. Okay, I'm not surprised
they're going to try to sue.
Speaker 2 (22:29):
Right.
Speaker 4 (22:30):
So, yeah, we've heard some inside things, but we can't
we can't repeat them, repeat them all right? All right, now,
let's talk about Pharrell and his one billion dollar plan
for black and Hispanic entrepreneurs.
Speaker 5 (22:41):
He has a Black Ambition.
Speaker 4 (22:43):
It is a nonprofit with funds and it offers mentorship
to black and Hispanics.
Speaker 5 (22:47):
And here's what he had to say.
Speaker 4 (22:50):
He actually is talking about what the plan is and
how he plans to distribute this money.
Speaker 2 (22:56):
We need the real change.
Speaker 22 (22:57):
The thing is, we can't keep waiting our parents, parents,
and their parents and their parents parents parents. For them,
equality was number one, and for us, equality is absolutely
on the list. But equity is more powerful than equality
because with equality you're asking for an acknowledgement of justice
and fairness. With equity, you don't have to ask for
(23:19):
anything because its source.
Speaker 2 (23:21):
I know that's right. I like that.
Speaker 5 (23:23):
All right.
Speaker 4 (23:23):
Well, they had their third annual Demo Day in New York.
This was last week. They gave over thirty companies a
total of more than three million dollars. And you know
they are focusing on certain sectors like tech, healthcare, and
consumer package goods. Okay, all right, coffee uplist people. You
know what we got to do, guys. All right, speaking
of money, Rick Ross is offering an opportunity for a
(23:47):
flight attendant. The salary is up to one hundred and
fifteen thousand dollars.
Speaker 5 (23:51):
Now, I loved that.
Speaker 4 (23:52):
Earlier I came said I would do that, and I said,
you're not a flight attendant.
Speaker 2 (23:55):
Yeah.
Speaker 7 (23:55):
First of all, he said, what are they going to do?
And we're like, what do you mean where they're flight?
Speaker 14 (23:58):
I didn't know what he wanted. I thought I just
found advice and he liked and wanted to hang out
with us.
Speaker 5 (24:03):
All right, here's what he had to say.
Speaker 1 (24:05):
Being anywhere from eighty five k to one hundred and
fifteen thousand annually, you gotta have experience, got to have
that positive vibe, Gotta be able to prepare the cuisine,
serve the cuisine. I've had a seizure on the plane before.
You gotta be able to handle the CPO. Of course,
let's travel the world, let's be by our business, let's
be professional.
Speaker 6 (24:27):
I want to say this, Angela. I feel like you
have to be on call. I feel like it's really
time consuming. I feel like it's a hard work. It
sounds like a lot of money, which it is, yeah,
but other than it.
Speaker 4 (24:37):
Feels like I could be home or have a trip
plan and then it doesn't matter.
Speaker 5 (24:40):
We need you to come work.
Speaker 14 (24:41):
Yeah, but he also was an eighty five to one
hundred and fifteen. I'm gonna eat one hundred and fifteen.
Speaker 5 (24:45):
But even I just think it's a lot light attendant.
Speaker 4 (24:48):
Let's talk about what Aqem does do, because when we
come back, we'll be discussing that he is a hilarious
and upcoming tomorrow it's his birthday.
Speaker 7 (24:55):
Great segue, Angela.
Speaker 4 (24:57):
Absolutely look, but right now, I know you got I
love this song. This is a classic kiss me through
the phone, So jaboy and Sammy.
Speaker 5 (25:04):
It's way up at Angela Yee.
Speaker 8 (25:05):
Turn up you way up with Angela yee more Now.
Speaker 4 (25:11):
All right, it is way up at Angela yee, Angela yee.
Jasmine Brand is here.
Speaker 7 (25:15):
Yes, ma'am.
Speaker 5 (25:16):
A Keim Woods is here.
Speaker 2 (25:17):
Hello.
Speaker 4 (25:18):
Now we first met. I came in DC. We did
stand up with Godfrey. He had just came off of
a gay.
Speaker 2 (25:23):
Cruise, which I'm going on another one in January.
Speaker 7 (25:26):
Gay Crew sounds so fun, it's very gay.
Speaker 4 (25:29):
But I want to just talk about your stand up now.
You just came from Tulsa and I saw somebody quit.
Speaker 2 (25:35):
Oh yeah, I did about that.
Speaker 3 (25:37):
What do you mean?
Speaker 7 (25:37):
What happened?
Speaker 14 (25:38):
So Wednesday night I was headline. I was headline at
this club called Looney Bin, which is a pretty good
comedy club in Tulsa. And during my set, I forgot
that I even had this joke because I was like,
I was closed. I closed out the open mic on Wednesday,
so I did like thirty minutes and closed it out,
and I had this joke about religion, and it was
like such a small throwery joke that I forgot I
(25:58):
even did it. Okay, But apparently afterwards, like I get
off stage, I'm selling my T shirt or whatever, and
this guy comes over to talk to the GM and
they go off into the back order a talk, and
then he walks out. And this guy was stand off.
He wasn't like, he wasn't like. He was stand off
office to me the whole night.
Speaker 7 (26:16):
Another comedian.
Speaker 2 (26:17):
No, no, no, he works there.
Speaker 14 (26:17):
He's a surfer the club, and he was he wasn't
really nice to me, but it wasn't mean either. He
just didn't really talk to me, and I was I
was kind of wondering why, but I didn't think anything
of it. So it turned out he quit and I
asked the manager, like, yo, why did he quit? And
he's like oh, because he did a joke about religion.
And I'm like, am I head him like did I?
I'm like, oh, yeah, I did do one joke. No, like,
(26:41):
what's it about?
Speaker 2 (26:42):
What? What?
Speaker 5 (26:42):
What about it?
Speaker 14 (26:43):
So basically I said I I'm like, maybe we don't
need to know, Like, okay, I'll tell you off there.
It's like it was I could have said it on there,
but I'll stay it off there. But anyway, I did
the joke. He got mad. So he and apparently the
comic last week and the comic the week before also
(27:04):
had jokes about religion. So to him, that was like
the live straw. So this is what he told the man.
He's a twenty three year old kid, and he told
the man. He's like, hey, I went outside and I
prayed on it, and my spirit said I had to quit.
Speaker 5 (27:17):
I'm not mad at that. I mean he did.
Speaker 2 (27:21):
I was a live straw. I was a live straw.
Speaker 14 (27:23):
But also, if you're that religious, maybe don't work at
a comedy club.
Speaker 5 (27:27):
Because it's.
Speaker 7 (27:30):
Jesus drink wine.
Speaker 17 (27:31):
Though.
Speaker 5 (27:31):
Yeah, now let me ask you this. You also took
the bus.
Speaker 2 (27:34):
I did, and I realized how long was that? It
was eight hours?
Speaker 14 (27:39):
And I realized I'm better than bus people, which is
a wild it's a wild sentence that's accurate.
Speaker 5 (27:45):
When the last time I took the best it was like.
Speaker 2 (27:49):
It was a great because here's the thing.
Speaker 14 (27:52):
I'm like a bus to d C during the day,
that's regular business our buses.
Speaker 2 (27:57):
I took a bus at midnight. I'm better than midnight
bus people.
Speaker 7 (28:02):
What kind of people are on.
Speaker 2 (28:03):
Everyone on the buck? I kid you know. I'm standing
in line on the about to get to the bus.
Speaker 14 (28:07):
The person behind me is on the bluetooth, and the
dude behind me is like, oh, i'd be forgetting people
on bluetooth.
Speaker 2 (28:14):
I'm like, oh, yeah, people have bluetooth. He say, yeah,
things have changed. I just got it. I was locked
up for ten years. I'm like, why did you tell
me that?
Speaker 7 (28:20):
Why is everybody locked up for t Why.
Speaker 2 (28:23):
Is that information? You're gonna talk?
Speaker 14 (28:24):
I don't even know that you And I wasn't going
to correct him and be like, yo, they had bluetooth
ten years ago, because I don't know why he went
to jail. Did they They probably did, But I don't
want to get stabbed because he went to jail for stabbing.
Speaker 2 (28:33):
And people, and he corrected him rare.
Speaker 7 (28:35):
I don't know if they had bluetooth.
Speaker 5 (28:37):
I gotta google that.
Speaker 14 (28:38):
Literally everyone on the bus had jail stories, and they
started handing out peanut but and jelly sandwiches.
Speaker 2 (28:44):
I'm like, are we going to jail on the bus?
Speaker 5 (28:46):
They give you a peanut but that doesn't sound bad?
Speaker 2 (28:49):
No, no, no, no, not on the bus.
Speaker 14 (28:51):
The jail people were handing out peanut but jail other community.
Speaker 2 (28:56):
It was community. I didn't want to be a part
of the community.
Speaker 6 (28:58):
Okay, can I just say really quick before or we wrap?
Angela and I have often contemplated about whether or not
we should go to jail, because it's a great place
to network sometimes when you get out.
Speaker 7 (29:07):
So our false Angela, don't lie on this air.
Speaker 2 (29:09):
I think that I don't think you. I think you
can go. You can network without going.
Speaker 4 (29:13):
That should have happen. I think that we would make
the most out of it. Okay, yeah, no, shade to
bus people. Just know I'm better. Oh my god, Kim,
there's gonna be bus people picketing at your next show,
so you know.
Speaker 2 (29:25):
They won't they can't take the bust of my show.
Speaker 4 (29:28):
Listen, Okay, next up is ask ye Keem is here?
To help, but I'm not sure. Eight hundred fifty one
fifty is the number call us up for ask ye again.
Speaker 5 (29:40):
That's eight hundred two nine two fifty one fifty six with.
Speaker 8 (29:44):
Its relationship for career advice, Angela's dropping facts.
Speaker 4 (29:47):
You should know this is ask What's up? Is way
up at Angela? Ye, I'm Angela Yee. Jasmine Brand is here,
Keen Wods is here. We're not responsible for anything that
he has said on the show, and it's time for
ask ye eight hundred fifty.
Speaker 5 (30:02):
We have an anonymous caller. Hello, how are you? I'm good?
Speaker 11 (30:05):
How are you?
Speaker 5 (30:06):
I'm good? Thank you? And what is your question?
Speaker 11 (30:10):
Two years ago, my younger sister moved back home with
my mom. You know, she same my hard time.
Speaker 23 (30:15):
It happened right, yeah, And in the midst.
Speaker 11 (30:17):
My mom's cancer came back, and I know stress, you know,
in the back of my head, I'm like, oh.
Speaker 19 (30:23):
My god, if my sister's fought, you.
Speaker 11 (30:25):
Know, you stressed my mama. So anyway, you know, we've
been going through the chemo and recently Monday, we found
out the brain cancer is freck So we're all emotional,
but my sister is sadly effing up, pausing, stress, doing this,
doing that. What hasn't she done? So that Tuesday, she
got my mother's car. I pounded, We're like.
Speaker 7 (30:46):
Where's the cars?
Speaker 11 (30:49):
I snapped and I jumped on her. Well, I tried
to jump on her.
Speaker 10 (30:52):
My husband broke it up, but I did go to
jump on her.
Speaker 11 (30:56):
And I feel bad, And in the back of my head,
I'm like, your ass, well, because who does that to
their mom? Right, Like who does that? But I knew
it wasn't helping anything at all, But I just kind
of want to what is your mom?
Speaker 5 (31:11):
What is your mom saying? In the midst of all this.
Speaker 11 (31:14):
So she was like in total shock, you know, she's like,
oh my god, like you know, you guys stop, you
guys stop. But in the end she's like, well, I
do understand, because everybody has their breaking point, you know.
And she's like, well, this isn't helping me either. I'm like,
you're right, this did absolutely not help anything. I get it,
and I'm sorry. I wasn't trying to be selfish. I
(31:36):
just snapped because it's like my mom's standing there so weak,
and she's like, where's my car? Like she's asked her
sudden time.
Speaker 23 (31:43):
So I'm like, I'm about to stop her.
Speaker 5 (31:45):
The thing is, though, for your mom, she's gonna do
what she's gonna do.
Speaker 4 (31:48):
She's gonna be nurturing to your sister, and you like
fighting your sister is gonna just make it more stressful
for your mom. So I think the main thing is
to keep all stresses away from your mom, which means
you cannot like are you.
Speaker 5 (32:02):
In front of her.
Speaker 4 (32:03):
I wouldn't even go to her about things. I wouldn't
even be complaining. I would always make sure when we
talk to mom, let's have a pact that we're going
to be upbeat. If something happens, and if you mess up,
as you are prone to do, come to me so
that I can help you figure out how to fix it.
Speaker 5 (32:19):
So Mom doesn't have to deal with that.
Speaker 7 (32:21):
But you shouldn't feel sorry.
Speaker 6 (32:22):
You shouldn't feel bad bad because you jump on your
sister or you try to Your sister did deserve to
get her ass.
Speaker 5 (32:28):
Woke, but it also stressed her mom out more.
Speaker 7 (32:30):
I know I'm not saying I'm just getting done. What's
done is done.
Speaker 10 (32:33):
I get both of you, you know, I'm like, Okay,
I touch.
Speaker 7 (32:36):
My face and would but I understand you know, it's
not it's it.
Speaker 2 (32:42):
It was just like one thing after another after another.
Speaker 5 (32:44):
Right, But I like to move forward.
Speaker 7 (32:47):
Okay, I wanted to dwell a little bit because I understood.
Speaker 4 (32:49):
As in figuring out how to move forward, the main
thing is I got to make sure if I got
to swallow my pride and my issues right to protect
my mom and have less stress for her her, then
that's what I have to do. And if that means
I have to talk to my sister and be like, look,
I'm not effing with you, but I want to say this.
Speaker 5 (33:09):
You're gonna mess.
Speaker 4 (33:10):
Out, You've been messing up, get it together. We're gonna
figure this out.
Speaker 5 (33:13):
But come to me. I don't want my mom asking
seven times and get out of the house, Like is that.
Speaker 11 (33:19):
Get out of the house, please, He's not gonna kick
her comfortable. You couldn't even be comfortable.
Speaker 4 (33:25):
But if there's somebody else she could stay within the family.
I think y'all need to have that conversation as a
family without your mom involved.
Speaker 5 (33:33):
Where else can you stay so that you're not here?
Speaker 10 (33:36):
Yeah, that's a great idea. That is a great idea.
Speaker 7 (33:39):
We're keeping your mom in our prayers too.
Speaker 2 (33:42):
Thank you so much.
Speaker 10 (33:43):
I appreciate it.
Speaker 5 (33:44):
You guys have a good day.
Speaker 19 (33:46):
Thank you.
Speaker 1 (33:47):
All right?
Speaker 4 (33:48):
Well that was ask ye eight hundred two nine fifty
fifteen in case you couldn't get through.
Speaker 5 (33:52):
And it is a Wealth Wednesday. So coming up next
we're gonna help you even more.
Speaker 4 (33:55):
We have Carter Kolefield joining us and he is gonna
help you figure out how to keep the most of
your money and not have to pay taxes, but the
legal way where you don't have to pay as much.
Speaker 5 (34:05):
You're gonna have to pay right, but not as much.
Speaker 7 (34:08):
All right.
Speaker 5 (34:08):
He's got all kinds of tips and tricks that you
need to know. It's way up.
Speaker 14 (34:12):
I had a dream of wealthy and I don't mind
sharing my wealth dog getting you straight financially, mentally and physically.
Speaker 9 (34:19):
This is Wealth Wednesday on Way Up with Angela Yee.
Speaker 2 (34:22):
What's up?
Speaker 4 (34:22):
It's way up with Angela Yee. I'm Angela Yee and
you know it is a Wealth Wednesday. So of course
my partner Stacey Tisdale is here.
Speaker 13 (34:29):
Happy Wealth Wednesday, everybody. We have a really exciting show
for you today. I'm Carter Cofield and he is the
co host of Melanin Money on YouTube.
Speaker 23 (34:38):
Which is a great, great financial literacy show.
Speaker 13 (34:41):
And you are a tax expert, financial expert. You've helped
small businesses, celebrities, everybody get their money right now.
Speaker 5 (34:47):
One thing I want to talk about is having an LLC.
Speaker 4 (34:50):
I see people talking about that and saying when you
graduate from college you should have an LLC right away.
So can you talk about why that's important or is
it important?
Speaker 3 (34:58):
Yeah?
Speaker 23 (34:59):
So, I don't know if the so necessarily having the
LLC in place is important. I mean, you want to
have it, but I think the bigger tail when it
comes to taxes is that if you want to win
the game of taxes, you need to need to have
a business or become an investor. The tax code is
made for entrepreneurs and investors. If you're not one of
the two, you are playing yourself when it comes to taxes.
So I love the narrative like when you graduate college,
(35:20):
like start an LLC, start some type of small businesses,
because that way you'll be able to turn a lot
of your personal expenses into.
Speaker 2 (35:28):
Tax deductible business expenses. So I think that's why everybody
says good LLCA stuff.
Speaker 21 (35:32):
The rich and the middle class think of taxes.
Speaker 13 (35:34):
So differently, like having a tax paying season versus tax
saving season.
Speaker 23 (35:39):
There are actually two tax seasons. Most people think it's
only one. They think of tax season as January through April. Right,
that is tax paying season. Most middle class people go
to their CPA in February and say how much am
I going to owe? Right, that's what middle class do.
The wealthy do something different. The wealthy understand that tax
saving season is August through December, and they go to
their CPA and say, what strategies can we implement so
(36:02):
that I don't.
Speaker 2 (36:03):
Have to pay taxes?
Speaker 23 (36:05):
And if you take care of business during tax saving season,
you don't have to worry about nothing during tax paying
season because you've done the work.
Speaker 4 (36:12):
Right now, we are talking to certified public accounting card
Coole Fields.
Speaker 5 (36:15):
He's helping you with your taxes. Well, let's talk.
Speaker 2 (36:18):
About this, let's talk about it, let's get it.
Speaker 5 (36:22):
Let's get it for tax saving season.
Speaker 10 (36:24):
Yes.
Speaker 23 (36:24):
So, one thing I always tell people is to turn
your hobby into a side hustle.
Speaker 12 (36:29):
Right.
Speaker 23 (36:29):
So, for example, I had a friend who was a
lawyer and get one hundred and fifty thousand dollars a
year getting killed When it came to taxes.
Speaker 2 (36:35):
Her hobby was traveling.
Speaker 23 (36:36):
She loved to travel the world and eat at five
star restaurants all across the right. I'm sure, I'm sure
you can attest right. So we sat out for less.
You's like, Carter, is there anybody I can write these
trips off? I was like, do you have a business?
Speaker 2 (36:49):
She said no.
Speaker 23 (36:50):
I said, okay, well let's turn this hobby into a
side hustle. So she started a vlog about the best
restaurants to eat in different countries. She started getting subscribers
to her blog. She started making money off her ebooks.
She only made like two or three thousand dollars in
sales from that side business. But what it did is
it unlocked all those deductions. So the irsay is, if
(37:10):
you have a business, any expense that is both ordinary
or necessary to operate that business is tax deductible.
Speaker 4 (37:17):
So you have to travel, you have to eat at these,
you have to travel, and then now you had some hotel.
Speaker 2 (37:22):
It was a loss exactly.
Speaker 23 (37:23):
So now she might have made two thousand dollars in
her business, but she might have lost twenty five thousand
dollars in her taxes. That loss from her business could
subtracted from her income at W two job. Right, so
she didn't have gett like a ten or fifteen thousand
dollars tax reform.
Speaker 5 (37:36):
It's worth it. And she also has traveled the.
Speaker 23 (37:38):
World understanding like, you're already doing it, doing it anyway,
why don't you, whatever your hobby is, find a way
to monetize it. Once you make that dollar in your hobby,
you unlock all those deductions, right, anything, I can.
Speaker 21 (37:49):
Just start a blog post about anything and then it.
Speaker 2 (37:52):
Has Yeah, So like, as long as you monetize that business.
Speaker 23 (37:55):
So I think the other thing people can do is, like,
whatever your job is paying to do from nine to five,
somebody else would pay the direct to do that same
thing from.
Speaker 2 (38:02):
Five to nine. Start to side business.
Speaker 23 (38:04):
If you're an assistant at W at your W two job,
you know any business owners need an assistant, right, just
do it after hours. Start making money in your side business.
You can start writing off things like your travel, your rent,
your automobiles. All these things that we were already paying
for our business can be paid for if we just
start saving a lot of money.
Speaker 4 (38:21):
Now, what if you drive to work, right, let's just
say you don't have this side hustle, but you drive
to work.
Speaker 5 (38:26):
Would your car be considered a business expense?
Speaker 4 (38:28):
And let's say you also, at your job have to
work from home at times, is that also potential to
write that off?
Speaker 23 (38:35):
None of this stuff is tax deductible if you only
have a W two job, that's what sucks. Because of
virtual your computer. Now you could literally be working from
home using your personal vehicle all this. But if you
have a W two job, IRS says no, the moment
you start the business, the IRS says yes.
Speaker 2 (38:52):
All right.
Speaker 4 (38:52):
It's a Wealth Wednesday. And Stacey Tisdell, my Wealth Wednesday partner,
is here. We have mar ricarda co filed.
Speaker 5 (38:58):
When we come back. We're talking about tax had a
dream of policing wealthy and.
Speaker 8 (39:02):
I don't mind sharing my wealth dogs getting you straight financially,
mentally and physically.
Speaker 9 (39:07):
This is Wealth Wednesday on Way up with Angelayee.
Speaker 5 (39:10):
What's happens way up with Angela Yee.
Speaker 4 (39:12):
I'm Angela Ye and my Wealth Wednesday partner, Stacey Tiesdale
is here with me. We're talking to CPA car to Cofield.
We're talking about different ways to make sure that you
can save money on your taxes.
Speaker 5 (39:23):
Now, Stacy, you have a question, but you were.
Speaker 21 (39:25):
Talking about cars.
Speaker 13 (39:26):
Yeah, you told me about a really interesting way to
save a lot of money on your car expenses by
writing them off.
Speaker 23 (39:32):
Yeah, so last year and this year, vehicles are probably
one of the easiest and most advantaged tax deductions you've
ben take. So let's say somebody has a W two
job and they don't want to start a business, but
they have a vehicle. If they rent that vehicle out
while they're at work, like put it on Touro, put
it on higher car, they are vehicles now with business.
Speaker 2 (39:50):
So they're making money from their vehicle.
Speaker 23 (39:51):
So now they're able to write off all expenses related
to that vehicle. Interest on your car note, gas repairs,
car washes, parking, insurance, and this thing called depreciation. So
what IRS says is that if you hit a car
and it weighs over six thousand pounds, and this is
what you'll see all over social media, right, you get
to write off this year eighty percent of the value
of the car. So if you went and financed the
(40:13):
Cadillac Escalate and it was one hundred thousand dollars, you
would get an eighty thousand dollars tax reduction.
Speaker 2 (40:18):
Today.
Speaker 23 (40:20):
That alone wipes out most people's tax bill completely doesn't matter.
Speaker 21 (40:23):
How I was gonna say, feel like once a year.
Speaker 23 (40:26):
So the interesting thing about the play I did.
Speaker 2 (40:28):
Now that's a good question.
Speaker 23 (40:29):
So the interesting thing about that play is the IRS
says your car has to be used.
Speaker 2 (40:35):
At least fifty percent for your business.
Speaker 23 (40:37):
Okay, Now, when you rent it out, it's not about
how many times it's rented, it's not how many times
it's available to rents. So if you rent it out
like two times and then you jack the price up high,
so nobody rents it out because you really don't want
people using your car. As long as it's available for rent,
that counts towards the fifty percent. That's something that any
W two person can do.
Speaker 4 (40:56):
Right now, we are talking to certified public accounting car
to co Field.
Speaker 5 (41:00):
He's helping you with your taxes.
Speaker 4 (41:01):
Now, another thing that you can do that you talk
about is renting out your home to your business. This
is what I'm actually about to do to have a
two family house and so for the rent of that
is actually going to be my business perfect. So I'll
be paying myself my business rent to be able to
use that for everything I have to do for work,
for recording, podcasting, all of that.
Speaker 23 (41:22):
One of the strategies I love to teach is a
strategy is called the Augusta rule. If you rent out
your primary residence for fourteen days or less, you don't
have to recognize the income on your tax return. Then
there became this play where if you have a business,
you can charge your business to use your primary residence
for whatever you want to do it.
Speaker 2 (41:43):
So, let's say you want to shoot content in your home.
Speaker 23 (41:45):
You can charge your business one thousand dollars a day
to use your home for content studio. If you do
it for fourteen days, that is fourteen thousand dollars that
you charge your business to use your home. Your business
gets a fourteen thousand dollars right off for rent, just
like if you want to use a space right but
you get to if you're the person, that's a pan
of money too. So now you receive the money tax free.
(42:08):
So you can get a fourteen thousand dollars tax reduction,
and you can receive fourteen thousand dollars tax free.
Speaker 2 (42:14):
Now let's take it a step further.
Speaker 23 (42:15):
Yes, let's say so you get to choose what days
you want to rent out your primary residence. So what
if you happen to do it when a Beyonce concert
was in town. The rent that you can charge your
business is based off rent comps at that moment. So
if Beyonce comes into town, it might you might be
able to renout your house for two thousand dollars a
day because your city is jumping. So now we just
(42:38):
got a twenty eight thousand dollars right off of our business.
And we just received twenty eight thousand dollars tax free.
Speaker 21 (42:43):
So you have to cut yourself a check.
Speaker 5 (42:46):
Yeah, yeah, it's.
Speaker 23 (42:47):
Gonna be yeah, and it has to be off rent comps.
So like I would just say, get a to get
a calendar of your city's biggest events, and those are
the days that you want to rent out your primary residence.
Speaker 2 (42:58):
To your business.
Speaker 23 (42:59):
And my thing is this, like, gods, we're already spending
the money.
Speaker 24 (43:02):
Anyway, right, why not get a taxation for That's what
the wealthy people are doing as they turn their biggest
expenses into legitimate taxi ducts. Like the fact that they
could be making one hundred thousand times more than me
be paying way less than me is insane.
Speaker 23 (43:17):
And I tell people, you can hate the player or
you can hate the game or you can learn the game.
Speaker 4 (43:22):
So, because the thing is there's legal ways that you're
able to do these things. So it's not like you're
just not paying your taxes that are doing something you're
not supposed to. You're just understanding how the system works.
Speaker 13 (43:32):
You want to share all this knowledge for free? Oh yeah,
adfing that free e book here?
Speaker 23 (43:39):
Yes, so I have a free e book with over
one hundred different tax reductions that was not free. I'm
giving to you all people for free. It's one hundred
different tax reductions that people can implement today. If they

Speaker 4 (43:57):
