and somebody saying.

You know what, I want to shout out my producer Dan.
Speaker 3 (01:49):
He's doing such an amazing job, and I know he
works really hard, and it's nice to have somebody there
who works just as hard as you do and cares
about your show just as much as you do. Look
at him, he's over here smiling. So imagine what that
could do for a person. That's what Shin of Light
is all about. Eight hundred two ninety two fifty one
fifty ari. Who do you want to shine a light on?

I'm just so proud of him.
Speaker 5 (02:15):
I've known him for like nineteen twenty years.
Speaker 6 (02:18):
We dated off and we got married a couple of
years ago. Nice, and his growth has just been so beautiful.
I've really watched him growing to the man that I
always knew he could be. And he still has a
long way to go, but I'm just really proud of him.
He's becoming a praying man.
Speaker 7 (02:35):
I'm just like, ah, feeling so good.
Speaker 5 (02:38):
So yeah, I'm just really proud of him.
Speaker 7 (02:40):

It's way up with Angela Yee and it is a
no judgment zone.
Speaker 6 (03:14):
Time.
Speaker 3 (03:14):
I know you guys love this and you'll be calling
up here with some wild secrets. But guess what, I
am nosy and I love to hear it, and I
want you guys to be able to share anything with
me and know this is a place where you can
just be free. We've all made mistakes, we've all done
some crazy things, and we're not gonna judge you. And
you are anonymous, so no matter what, unless you committed
(03:34):
a crime, we are in your corner. Okay, all right, Anonymous, Carla,
what's your secret?
Speaker 8 (03:39):
So with my husband for here, is not really happy,
but dealing with it, and caught him cheating for the
third time, and so I decided to let loose and
let it out. And in a four or five month span,
I slept with like twenty different men and the frustration
out and let it out my system, and then at
(04:00):
that I felt better.
Speaker 7 (04:01):
I mean, it's like a year later.
Speaker 8 (04:02):
We're back together.
Speaker 7 (04:03):
We're fine now.
Speaker 5 (04:04):
But I did my on ones and twos for a
little while. And I never told anybody.
Speaker 2 (04:09):
You knocked off a twenty pack. Yeah yeah, but she
feels better.
Speaker 5 (04:14):
Yeah, how many men?
Speaker 2 (04:16):
That's like how many men a week?
Speaker 8 (04:17):
Though?
Speaker 2 (04:17):
In four months, you've done more.
Speaker 8 (04:23):
Hey, there were these parties, a couple of those, and it's.
Speaker 3 (04:26):
Hard to say, all right, can you remember sometimes when
you're waiting and he's down there, do you laugh a
little to yourself?
Speaker 5 (04:32):
There?
Speaker 8 (04:33):
There are a lot of little jokes I have to
myself now. But you know, I'm glad I did it
because I was trying so hard for so long to
be good even though I wasn't happy. And he decided
when he didn't feel happy, he wanted to do what
he wanted to do. So it was my turn and
I let it out my system of these guys.
Speaker 7 (04:52):
There's a little footage.
Speaker 3 (04:54):
There's okay, all right, sis a great great god.
Speaker 2 (05:06):
You want to play around? Hello, anonymous, call it tell
us a secret.
Speaker 9 (05:11):
Okay, So my secret is I took revenge and got
somebody back.
Speaker 2 (05:15):
We're just as needed to be served.
Speaker 9 (05:17):
So I ended up going into their house and spreading
like sardine like porn, putting some sardines in the vest
and poor and sardine jus and their shoes and all
on their clothes. And then I poured like meal gimp
between the backtists and the box screen, and I sole
a couple of items that were mine back.
Speaker 3 (05:37):
Okay, So I assume this had to be an ex
or something something like that. So they did something crazy,
but nobody was helping you legally, not at all. No, okay, Hey,
you know sometimes you gotta get your your get back
of creative.
Speaker 2 (05:53):
Yeah, and look, getting your own stuff back. You know,
you're welcome to do that.
Speaker 4 (05:57):
Yeah.
Speaker 7 (05:58):
Yeah, it's kind of like I stole my card, Yody,
you know.
Speaker 3 (06:04):
You funny, But them sardines that is so disgusting, and
that mattress and that that gotta go after you put
poured that milk.
Speaker 2 (06:11):
Yeah, I gotta go, all right, yeah, sure, all right,
Well I'm not mad at it. Nobody got hurt. Nope,
Thank you so much for sharing.
Speaker 9 (06:20):
Thank you.
Speaker 2 (06:21):
All right, Well that was tell us a secret.
Speaker 3 (06:23):
Eight hundred two ninety two fifty one fifty I told
you we don't judge, and if you couldn't get through,
you could leave a message.
Speaker 2 (06:29):
You can play your secret and last word.
Speaker 3 (06:31):
And maybe you didn't want to have a back and forth,
you just want to put it out there and disappear
into the darkness of the night. That's fine too, all right.
That's eight hundred two ninety two fifty one fifty. That
was tell us a secret. It's way you put Angela.
Speaker 4 (06:43):
Yee, whether it's relationship for career advice, Angela's dropping facts,
you should you should know if this is as.
Speaker 2 (06:48):
Gee, what's up this way you put Angela Yee.
Speaker 3 (06:51):
I'm Angela Yee and Jasmine from the Jasmine brand is
here and it is time for ask ee. That's when
you guys have to call in and ask anything you want.
Eight hundred to fifty one fifty. We are always here
to help her ever we can.
Speaker 2 (07:03):
Hey, Toya, how are you feeling?
Speaker 7 (07:05):
Zoya good?
Speaker 2 (07:06):
How are you good? Thank you? So, what's your question today?
For asking you?
Speaker 5 (07:11):
I want to know how do I repair me and
my mother's relationship. We've always had a tumultuous relationship over
the years. She's very sick. She had a stroke and
I'm trying to mend things, but for some reason, she
doesn't want to mend them. When I came home, I
came home to put that stuff to rest, and things
just keep happening. They had my mother a surprise birthday party.
(07:33):
They didn't invite me and my kids.
Speaker 2 (07:36):
And I'm he only.
Speaker 5 (07:36):
Daughter and I have her only grandkids, you know, And
it's said, because I'm almost like a B word in
the street to my mom, you know, but I've seen
her be that with her mother. I'm trying to break
this curse, but it's hard for me to deal with.
And now that she's sick, we were told that, you know, basically,
it's written that we can't see my mom at her
funerals because me and my kids will never look down
(07:57):
on her. You know, I have four children to speak
to my children, and I don't know what to do
because I'm still wanting to be in this relationship with
my mother. I'm still a little girl that wants that
wants that love because I'll never did it anywhere else.
I don't know what to do.
Speaker 3 (08:12):
A lot of times our parents, you know, we look
at them like they're supposed to be our superheroes. But
she's clearly gone through some things herself to make her
this way, and her treatment of you is more of
a reflection of what she's been through, and it really
doesn't have to do with you or anything that you
have any shortcomings or anything like that.
Speaker 2 (08:32):
That's more of her issue.
Speaker 3 (08:33):
And so I think at a time like this, you know,
you make your best effort, and that's the best that
you can do, and now.
Speaker 5 (08:42):
We're not even allowed to. She's been at the hospital
about a month. We're not Me and my kids were
not allowed.
Speaker 2 (08:46):
Who's preventing you?
Speaker 5 (08:48):
Me and my brother we keep in contact. My mom
has me and my brother, so he's letting me know
my mom don't want to see me right now.
Speaker 3 (08:55):
Is there a way that you can write her a
letter or maybe send a video message that your brother
can get to her.
Speaker 5 (09:00):
You know what, that's a good idea because I've been
texting her. That's a good idea.
Speaker 3 (09:04):
And when you do that, it's not about blaming anyone
or I think it's more about the fact that that
is still your mom, right You still love her.
Speaker 2 (09:13):
And you don't want what's rama.
Speaker 3 (09:15):
You don't want her to pass, and you guys haven't
mended things, and you don't even want to discuss yeah,
and you just want to give yourselves the opportunity to
at least be able.
Speaker 2 (09:24):
To express that to each other. And that's all that
matters to you.
Speaker 5 (09:28):
I'm we're trying that because I've been trying to figure
it out without me showing up, you know, because that'll
cause another issue.
Speaker 3 (09:33):
All you can do is, I think send that video message,
have your brother deliver it. No, nothing accusatory, just very
heartfelt whatever you want to say to her, so that
you have gotten that off of your chest and let
that be a burden gone from you, and then she
can take it from there.
Speaker 2 (09:48):
But that's the best you can do.
Speaker 3 (09:49):
If you said, she's had her health issues, brain hemorrhages,
you can't just show up there. But I understand that
you want to, but you can't. But what you can
do is give her whatever love that you want to
give her and so that when she does pass, at
least she'll have that, and maybe she'll come around before that.
But in the meantime, you've gone through every avenue that
you could, and look, breaking that generational curse is also
(10:11):
giving unconditional love to your children and never letting that
happen in your relationship.
Speaker 5 (10:17):
Yes, yes, yes, okay, thank y'all so much.
Speaker 2 (10:21):
Well Tooya.
Speaker 3 (10:22):
We're gonna say a prayer for you right now, all right,
we got you. We're gonna say a prayer for you,
and we love you.
Speaker 5 (10:29):
Thank I love you, thank you so much, thank you.
Speaker 6 (10:33):
Bye.
Speaker 3 (10:33):
That was ask yee eight hundred two nine two fifty
one fifty. If you couldn't get through. You could leave
a message and we will ask your question that way,
or you can click that microphone on your app and
leave a message asking your question and we will get
to you.
Speaker 2 (10:45):
It's way up with Angela yee. Yeah, what's hey?
Speaker 8 (10:48):
You want to know my name?
Speaker 4 (10:50):
Way up with Angela ye?
Speaker 2 (10:51):
Turn me on. What's up?
Speaker 3 (10:53):
Its way up at Angela yee. I'm here, and of
course it's a Wealth Wednesday. So my partner Stacy Tisdale
is here.
Speaker 10 (10:59):
Happy Wealth Wednesday. And it is a ten because we
have the founder and CEO of It's a Ten Haircare
and I think one of the first, if not the only,
and certainly one of the few self made Latina billionaires
with the creating a company that has over a billion
dollar valuation.
Speaker 2 (11:19):
Yes, that's Carolyn Aaronson in the house. Thank you so much,
Thank you for having me.
Speaker 3 (11:25):
And I was telling you I use It's a ten
haircare products and I like. What I like about it
is the spray to leave in that I could just
spray in my hair and then you guys have developed
that so like just an amazing line of products.
Speaker 2 (11:36):
I remember when it was just that.
Speaker 9 (11:38):
That's right.
Speaker 1 (11:38):
So I started one bottle and now over ten million
bottles a years old of that one bottle.
Speaker 3 (11:44):
Talk to me about yourself and what made you even
develop this one product that you initially started with.
Speaker 2 (11:49):
As you started as a hairdresser, you were just.
Speaker 10 (11:51):
Eighteen years old.
Speaker 1 (11:52):
I mean I was sixteen when I started. I've been
a hairdresser for forty one years. I still have a
license in two states because my mother pounded in my head.
Speaker 2 (12:01):
Keep it, it's yours.
Speaker 1 (12:02):
No one can ever take it from you, and no
one can take.
Speaker 2 (12:04):
These hands away.
Speaker 1 (12:05):
So anything happens, I can always go back to hair right.
Speaker 7 (12:09):
Hey, you never know.
Speaker 6 (12:10):
We thank you.
Speaker 3 (12:11):
Okay, but let's say so let's start talking about when
you decided you wanted to become an entrepreneur. Said you're
a licensed cosmetologist as well, So talk to me about
that process of when you developed the first it's a
ten spray, that leaving conditioner that you have, and how
you were able to develop that and then the process
of growing that.
Speaker 1 (12:30):
Failure is how I developed it. My partner and I
had a company. Our first company completely failed. We lost
everything and we were married at the time and got divorced.
Speaker 2 (12:41):
Was it because of that? That's just that a lot
to do with that.
Speaker 1 (12:44):
I'm sure it was some multiple things, but so we
each had forty thousand dollars each and we decided to
pick up the pieces and start with one bottle, one close,
all bottles all we could afford. And so that's when
we actually started It's a and Hair care together and
we just grew it and grew it and grew it.
Speaker 2 (13:04):
Right now, It's a wealth Wednesday.
Speaker 3 (13:05):
I'm with my partner, Stacy Tisdale, and we're talking to
Carolyn Aronson. She is the founder and CEO and by
the way, the cell owner of It's A ten Haircare. Now,
talk to me about so you had one product, Now,
how did you know it was time to expand?
Speaker 2 (13:17):
And how do you decide what to expand? To Listen,
I'm in the beauty industry.
Speaker 1 (13:21):
All we do is create, So I always knew I
planned on growing and expanding. Did I ever think I'd
be here?
Speaker 2 (13:29):
Probably not? But you know what, I love to create,
and I'll have expanded.
Speaker 1 (13:32):
In two extensions and be a time makeup and hair
tools and anything beauty. We started a men's hair color
and beer color line. Unfortunately, the men haven't had quality
products that women have done. For years.
Speaker 10 (13:48):
This is something I ask Angela all the time. Also,
so you have your incredible businesses. You're doing the men's line,
you have the yacht business, you have real estate businesses.
How do you run so many things successfully?
Speaker 1 (14:00):
It's really becoming an expert prioritizing. That's the key to success.
Speaker 2 (14:05):
Thank you so much for taking the time to come
and sit with us. It's my pleasure.
Speaker 10 (14:08):
It's a ten billion dollar valuation. Really honored to have
you here.
Speaker 1 (14:12):
Thank you so much, so much. And listen, we are
all the way up.
Speaker 2 (14:16):
Yes, help me all the way up. Shout out to
Fat Joe. Thats all right this way. Thank you.
Speaker 3 (14:23):
You could myself for interview on my YouTube channel Way
Up with ye Happy wealth Wednesday. And when we come back,
you guys have the last word.
Speaker 2 (14:30):
We pick up the phone, happy tappying. It gets your
voice heard.
Speaker 4 (14:35):
What the word bit, here's the last word on Way
Up with Angela Yee.
Speaker 2 (14:39):
What's up?
Speaker 3 (14:39):
Its way up with Angela yee and Happy New Years.
Yes you guys, it is officially twenty twenty five. This
is the time of the year where we forget to
write twenty twenty five for like another six months. As
we're doing different things and putting the date so remember
it is twenty twenty five. There's kind of no excuse
for that nowadays because everything is done automatically. Back in
my day, we used to have I have to write
(15:00):
things out, but now you guys have chat, GBT and
you have all of the things that does it for you,
so no excuses. Twenty twenty five. We all like to
say this year is our year, but let's meet it.
This year it's your show, so you have the last word.
Speaker 11 (15:13):
Kays Ye. I want to sign a light on myself.
My name is Jannis, also known as the Keebo up here,
and I want to sign a light because I'm ten
years in total life changes December twenty eighth and I'm
celebrating for all month long, So I'm shinning a light
on before launching a business and sticking with it through
(15:35):
the UPSI downs and learning going back to class to
learning how to do one my business. Thank you, I love
you and I'll see you at your next event.
Speaker 7 (15:44):
Angela Ye, This is Toky. I'm calling from New Orleans, Louisiana,
and I just want to shine a light on my
wonderful daughter, Mike Kayla Henry. She's twenty one years old.
Now our girl has purchased her own homes, so she's
just doing so I'm so so proud of her, and
I'm so excited to watch the lady that she's becoming.
(16:06):
Keep up the great work. I'm pushing for you, I'm
rooting for you. I got your back. But girl, you
are doing it all on your own and you got it.
So proud of you. Love you, my girl, from your
mom
Speaker 4 (16:20):
Going way out or turning out with Angela Yee
