Speaker 4 (00:23):
We can break it down for everybody.

Speaker 3 (00:25):
But yeah, so we got Key Block joining us today
and he's got a new album on the way, Dope Glacavelli,
and he's got a couple of new songs out right
now to three am in Tokyo. The videos out for
that right now. But he's going to be joining us. Lindsey, welcome.
Are you talking about some flight issues.

Speaker 4 (00:42):
Or oh my god?

Speaker 5 (00:43):
You know I travel for our series World of Travel
and sometimes it doesn't go right.

Speaker 3 (00:48):
That's right, Listen, the more you travel, the more chance
there is. I'm always like, thank you God, anytime my
flight is on time, no issues, be laying and smooth.

Speaker 5 (00:59):
I'm sure you're more like that now because of all
these incidents. Oh my god, every time it just lands,
I'm like, thank you.

Speaker 2 (01:04):
Well, we'll talk about it.

Speaker 3 (01:06):
But of course we got to start to show up
with some love and some positivity.

Speaker 2 (01:09):
Let's shine a light.

Speaker 3 (01:10):
I thought it was going to be a lot warmer today,
so I came in here. I don't have I have
on like a dress, but cue, I'm freezing.

Speaker 2 (01:17):
I need a blanket.

Speaker 3 (01:18):
All right, Well, let's start with some love and some positivity.
Let's shine a light eight hundred and two ninety two
fifty fifty. Call us up, let us know who you
want to shine a light on. It's way up a.

Speaker 1 (01:28):
Turn your lights on, y'all, spreading love to those who
are doing greatness.

Speaker 6 (01:32):
Shinna light on, shine a light on. It's time to
shine a light on.

Speaker 3 (01:39):
It's way up at the end, and yeah, I'm here
with Linday Granger. Hey, y'all, Hey girl, And today you
know who we're going to shine a light on. It
is Women's History Month. And since iHeart at the awards
to shine a light on her, we're going to do
it too. And we'll play more of this also during yeetee.
But Mariah Carey, she got the Icon Award at the iHeartRadio. Yes,
and you got to think about, like all of the

(02:00):
accomplishments that she's had. Think about the first time we
heard of Mariah Carey vision of love like a young
Mariah Carey sitting there singing that, and all the amazing
things that she's done, the fact that to this day
she's still performing, that she's had legendary Christmas music.

Speaker 4 (02:14):
Right to the whole season.

Speaker 3 (02:17):
And she also honored her mother while she was accepting
this award. You know, her mom and her sister both
died last August, so that wasn't easy for her. But
you know, she thanked her fans that her Lamb Belle
is what she calls them, the lamb Oh.

Speaker 4 (02:31):
Yeah, I noticed that.

Speaker 5 (02:33):
I think it's just so important to highlight people will
there here. We saw that with Angie Stone. I mean,
oh my god, it is a legend. Yeah, always has been,
and it's really you know, given Flowers.

Speaker 3 (02:43):
Getting over Berta fleg you know, but Angie Stone and
I think it is a shame. Like we said that
people did not give her the respect that she should
have had while she was with us, and that was
so unexpected. You know, much love again to Angie Stone.
And we're going to come up with a name for
the your own family, Like there's a Lamb Belie. What
are we going to do for you?

Speaker 5 (03:03):
Oh man, we gotta think about. Don't put me on
the spot because I'm terrible this all right?

Speaker 2 (03:06):
Well, what's up?

Speaker 4 (03:07):
See?

Speaker 2 (03:08):
Who do you want to shine a light on?

Speaker 7 (03:09):
What's going on? I'm shining the light on my wifey.
Her name is Amoria.

Speaker 3 (03:13):
Okay, what's your name is Amourier? Yes, ma'am, tell us
more about wife y.

Speaker 7 (03:18):
All right. Wifey is pregnant with our baby number two,
so we go wonder two. But she's still out here
getting it in, getting her bag.

Speaker 2 (03:24):
When is the baby?

Speaker 8 (03:25):
Doe?

Speaker 7 (03:26):
Light on its baby is doing August?

Speaker 6 (03:28):
All right?

Speaker 3 (03:28):
Well congratulations, oh an August baby. Let me see, so
that'll be either a virgo or what else?

Speaker 2 (03:34):
Could it be a leo?

Speaker 6 (03:35):
Yeah?

Speaker 7 (03:36):
Pray for me. Now I got a girl on the way,
So a.

Speaker 3 (03:39):
Girl dad, You know that's life changing, daddy's little girl
for real?

Speaker 2 (03:44):
What shout out to you as Amaria?

Speaker 7 (03:46):
Yes, ma'am, I appreciate it.

Speaker 3 (03:47):
That was shine a light eight hundred and two nine
two fifty one fifty. If you couldn't get through, you
could shine a light for last word. And when we
come back, we have your yee t lindsay you ready
to talk about the iHeart Radio Music Awards.

Speaker 4 (03:58):
Yes, I'm ready.

Speaker 2 (03:59):
This year I felt like it was a time I
should have went.

Speaker 4 (04:02):
It was a lot going on.

Speaker 5 (04:03):
I was like, wait, this red carpet was just starting
it off. Really well, all right, we'll talk about it.

Speaker 2 (04:08):
It's way up, it says in the rooms from industry
Shade to all of gossip.

Speaker 1 (04:13):
How Angela's spieling that yet?

Speaker 2 (04:17):
Yes, it's way up at Angela yee.

Speaker 3 (04:19):
And I'm here with journalists and world traveler Lindsay Granger.

Speaker 2 (04:22):
Hey, let's get into this yet.

Speaker 3 (04:24):
So the iHeartRadio Music Awards, where yesterday in La it
aired on Fox llll COOJ was hosting, and Artists of
the Year was Taylor Swift Okay, not a surprise. Song
of the Year Beautiful Things by Benson Boone. I don't
even know that song.

Speaker 4 (04:39):
I want to say, Okay you.

Speaker 3 (04:40):
Do, Dan, I don't know. Can you sing it for us? Okay,
I'm glad I'm not alone. Hip Hop Artist of the
Year is Glorella hip Hop's Song of the Year.

Speaker 2 (04:47):
What do you think that was? If you had to guess,
they not like that? Yes, like this away.

Speaker 3 (04:55):
Best New hip Hop Artist was Buss Mandlo R and B.
Song of the Year Made for Me by Money Long
and R and B. Artist of the Year with Sizza.
Best New Artist was quour Backs and World Artists of
the Year and the first time that South African has won.
This is Tyler well deserved, Yes, so well, I like
him a lot. Yeah, so congratulations to all of the winners.

(05:16):
But Mariah Carey also got the Icon Award. You know,
we just talked about that. Money Long performed for the tribute,
as did Torri Kelly and here's a little piece of.

Speaker 9 (05:25):
That is a lot William love.

Speaker 2 (05:39):
All right.

Speaker 3 (05:40):
Now, in addition to that, Mariah Carey went and did
her acceptance speech and here's what she has to say
as she accepted this award. By the way, got up
from sitting next to Anderson Path.

Speaker 4 (05:50):
Right, that's her man, and she's gonna be proud about it.

Speaker 2 (05:52):
Okay.

Speaker 10 (05:54):
Even now, I still get excited when I hear one
of my songs playing on the radio.

Speaker 4 (05:57):
It never stops being magical.

Speaker 10 (05:59):
I appreciate you you.

Speaker 4 (06:00):
All more than you know.

Speaker 10 (06:01):
And to my fans, my Lamily, you've been with me
through every.

Speaker 4 (06:07):
Step of this journey.

Speaker 10 (06:08):
And I want to honor my mother, Patricia Carey, for
giving me the gift of music.

Speaker 3 (06:14):
All right, So congratulations, well deserved. I saw Jermaine Dupree
was also posting about these wins till he said, nah
for real money, long winning R and B Song of
the Year for a song I producer Brian Michael Coxon
and doing a tribute to the Queen Mariah Carey and
singing a song I produce when Manuel Sale is mind blowing.

Speaker 2 (06:32):
I ain't even gonna hold you. I I I.

Speaker 5 (06:35):
I No, I'm just do yes.

Speaker 6 (06:40):
Shot yourself out.

Speaker 3 (06:40):
Jam You gotta let him know jamains free, okay j
d H. In addition to that, Ashanti was on hand.
She looked amazing.

Speaker 5 (06:49):
I will say, it's not even a snatchback, It's just
a thicker. Ashanti looks amazing.

Speaker 3 (06:54):
Now, Nellie was given his flowers at the iHeartRadio Music Awards,
and here is Ashanti, and this was unexpected him.

Speaker 2 (07:00):
He did not know that I was coming up here.
He thought, I just went to the bathroom.

Speaker 11 (07:04):
Back in the day, when people thought about rap, they
thought about the East and West coast. But in two
thousand a rapper emerged out of Saint Louis who would
change the game forever and put the Midwest on the map.
That rapper was Nelly. I'm so proud to honor country
Grammar and the talented guy who made it my soulmate,
my husband Nelly with the iHeartRadio Landmark Award.

Speaker 4 (07:27):
All right, it's like, I don't know what you'all talking
about online. That's my man. I'm a stick beside her.

Speaker 2 (07:32):
Yeah, all right, well that is ya.

Speaker 3 (07:34):
Yet when we come back, we have about last night
where we discussed what we did last night, and right
now let's get into the hip Hop Artists of the
Year Glorilla with tg im.

Speaker 6 (07:45):
So about last night.

Speaker 1 (07:47):
Yes, Pisi went down.

Speaker 2 (07:51):
It's way up at Angela.

Speaker 3 (07:52):
Yeah, I'm here with Lindsay Grange that you know her
as a world traveler, you know travel What did you
do last night?

Speaker 2 (07:58):
Where are you coming from?

Speaker 6 (07:59):
Oh?

Speaker 4 (07:59):
My god? Landed at They're a long delay from Dubai.

Speaker 5 (08:02):
We were in Abu Dhabi filming for World to Travel,
which was a beautiful experience. I want to actually just
shout out to the people in Abu Dhabi because they
treated us really well, and they're speaking of color really well.

Speaker 3 (08:12):
I think Sister's soldio is their writing. Oh really, yeah,
I think she's over there writing her book. When I
spoke to her.

Speaker 5 (08:18):
Yeah, we stayed at four Seasons and they you know,
it's like an adult hotel.

Speaker 2 (08:22):
I'm not trying to rag, you know.

Speaker 5 (08:24):
They put up a tepee for Kinsley and made it
all kid friendly.

Speaker 4 (08:28):
And we stayed another hotel called Rosewood, and.

Speaker 5 (08:30):
They rose was amazing, right if they really embraced the
local society and the traditions. They taught us about Ramadan
for real and sat with us and really explained it.
And then we went to a safari called Sir Bani
Yas Island, which people don't know exists. It's a wildlife
sanctuary and has like an entire eco reserve. We could
learn about sustainability from this island, an entire property there.

(08:51):
They walked us through with all their experts about how
they're really turning a desert into like a green area.
When did we get to see this? This will be
premiering in October, so just go to Worldotravel tv dot com.

Speaker 4 (09:03):
Right now, we're on Samsung, Roku and.

Speaker 5 (09:04):
A few other platforms, but huge We're gonna have some
more news suit on where to watch them.

Speaker 2 (09:09):
It feels like a good thing.

Speaker 3 (09:11):
Congratulate to come back and tell y'all. I cannot wait.
And I just want to say, if you need someone
to carry bags, carry baby, I'll carry the baby. I'll
baby sit it while y'all go have adult nights. You know,
it's so funny you talked about Rosewood, because what I
was doing last night was watching White Lotus season three.

(09:33):
But you know, part of this, they said, was filmed
in Thailand at a Rosewood resort. Because people always want
to figure out, like, where are they filming White Lotus?

Speaker 2 (09:42):
Where are these hotels?

Speaker 3 (09:43):
Because people want you to come and film White Lotus
because you know, these are very luxurious places.

Speaker 2 (09:48):
So they said part of it was actually filmed there.

Speaker 5 (09:51):
It's funny because Four Seasons was one of the seasons
filmed with White Lotus, so did Rosewood, and so did Anatara.
They did this Thailand episode with White Lotus, so all
the three hotels happen to be White Lotus.

Speaker 3 (10:04):
Well look, so that's what I was doing yesterday, and yeah,
Four Seasons as part of it is there too. And
I hadn't seen White Lotus, but everyone kept asking me, oh,
were you watching White Lotus? So I watched seasons one
and two already. I binge watched it from last week
until now, and so now I'm all caught up. I
will say season three to me hasn't been as great
as one and two. But you know there's a lot

(10:25):
of twists and turns when you watch White Lotus. So
we'll see when we come back. I want to do
pick a side now. Somebody was arguing me and saying
that I guess side eyed because of a conversation I
had with Shamia from Real housepis of Atlanta, where she
said she would not work with Porscha's baby father, her ex,
because you know her loyalty to Porscha.

Speaker 5 (10:47):
Here's what she said, even if it is just work,
why Dennis step outside of the circle and find somebody else.
Just this week, I'm gonna show you this has just
sent me a message. And he's like, oh, I got
a movie coming out. I want you to do it.
And I'm like, you gotta draw the line somewhere.

Speaker 3 (11:05):
Now, Shamiah does act, and she's eager to get back
into it, and so he asked her if she wanted
to play Regenees already in the movie, to play Regenee's mother,
and so she's not even considering it because of that.

Speaker 2 (11:17):
Now, I think that if it.

Speaker 3 (11:19):
Was me and I was her friend, and it was
a legitimate, like and I don't hate my ex. I
would be like, girl, get the money, do the role,
you know, and you came to me first and we
did it that way.

Speaker 2 (11:30):
What do you think, lindsay.

Speaker 4 (11:31):
I mean, I'm petty LaBelle, so.

Speaker 2 (11:33):
No, honestly, just like, yeah, we need to.

Speaker 5 (11:36):
Just take a break. You can find somebody else to
work with. I'm like, just I'm a little bit petty
though I could just figure you.

Speaker 4 (11:41):
I'm sorry.

Speaker 5 (11:42):
I know who I am, and I would say, like
what you're saying. I would say out loud, but in
my heart, I mean.

Speaker 2 (11:48):
Please don't do it two weeks.

Speaker 3 (11:49):
But I want to know what you guys think. Pick
aside eight hundred and two ninety two fifty one fifty.
Do you think Shamiah is right like off limits?

Speaker 2 (11:57):
Do not do that work?

Speaker 3 (11:58):
Or do you feel like, okay, work is work as
long as you come to me and let me know
ahead of time, and I give it my blessing. I'm
okay with it working with my ex eight hundred two
nine two fifty fifty call us at pick aside, it's.

Speaker 1 (12:10):
Not just right or wrong. It's about what you believe.
It's time to pick a side and stay there.

Speaker 2 (12:17):
It's way up at the angela. Yeah, Lindsay Grange is here.

Speaker 3 (12:19):
Man just walked in the door in the building just
in time for pick a side. Now we're talking about
this happened on Real Housewives of Atlanta. Shamiah turned down
this acting role because Dennis is producing it. Dennis is
Portia's ex who she also has a child with Dennis,
and Shemiah said, Hmmm, I don't think I can do this.

Speaker 2 (12:38):
Here's what happened.

Speaker 5 (12:40):
Even if it is just work, why Dennis step outside
of the circle and find somebody else.

Speaker 4 (12:45):
Just this week, I'm gonna show you.

Speaker 5 (12:47):
Dennis just sent me a message and he's like, oh,
I got a movie coming out. I don't want you
to do it, And I'm like, you gotta draw the
line somewhere now. The text was like, look, Jenna's playing
the door. I want you to play the mom. He's
producing it. But she said no because she knew Portsha
wouldn't like that like that. So would you have a
problem with that? Yeah, as a friend, yes, you are

(13:08):
absolutely okay.

Speaker 6 (13:09):
I like the fact that she drove the line. It's like, nah,
that's my friend. I'm standing on principles. I'm staying on.
I picked my side. I'm over here.

Speaker 2 (13:17):
Okay.

Speaker 4 (13:18):
I feel like most people want to say what they think,
like you would think more.

Speaker 3 (13:22):
Like me, No, okay, See, my thing is this they
don't have I think if they had a contentious relationship
but they are co parenting. Porshit was married to somebody
else after that, and you know, if you came to
me and was like, hey, your ex is doing this movie.
If you're my best friend, I would be like, get
the role, get the money. That's how I look at it.
Like we're not together, but we don't hate each other.

(13:44):
We're raising a kid. We all know each other. We're
best friends, and I trust if I trust you. Now,
if I happen to be friends with somebody who I
don't really trust, that would be weird. If you didn't
come to me first and tell me about it, that
would be weird. But I'm all about getting to the bag.

Speaker 2 (13:58):
I understand.

Speaker 6 (13:59):
We gonna get to the regardless though. That's the thing.
I'm not going to get the money.

Speaker 3 (14:04):
Let's see what you guys think. Eight hundred and two
ninety fifty one fifty ties pick aside.

Speaker 12 (14:09):
I believe that Shmiya should go get the money because
you shouldn't be trying to stop your own bag or
letting anybody snop your bag. And if Pusia is a
real friend, she should tell her to go get the money.
I feel like she still care about Dennis move on
our relationship type of thing. If she's trying to stop

(14:29):
her friends from getting money.

Speaker 2 (14:31):
For what, Honestly, I mean, Linday, it feels like a
legitimate you know what I'm saying.

Speaker 5 (14:36):
If this is your true dream and the first I
state is stopping you from that true dream, go ahead, says.

Speaker 2 (14:42):
If this is like if this is like now you're
leading the witness.

Speaker 5 (14:45):
No, no, I'm like, look, if this is your true dream,
if you're trying to be annoying and just trying to
get it where you fit in and honestly your issues.
Don't have friends like that, right, right, don't have friends
like that. But like, come on now, like everything don't
need to be connected with my axes. A million people
who do probably what he did.

Speaker 3 (14:59):
I mean, he's been trying to get back into acting.
It's not easy here, come around it.

Speaker 12 (15:05):
But you got those connections you never know, like he
can connect her to someone else figure, So I get it.
It's her best friend's ex, but you may be blocking
your own blessings about getting back into something that you love.

Speaker 3 (15:17):
And look and Porscha tells her, no, I feel her,
but I would go to her and be like, look
I do. I am trying to get back into acting.
You know, I would love to do this, but I
don't want you to feel a way. So it's whatever
you say now, put it on you right now.

Speaker 5 (15:29):
The communication has to be there, and I think, like
most importantly, your friends that respect you are going to
just say, hey, I'm having this conversation or I'm thinking
about having it, and you'll talk to them.

Speaker 4 (15:37):
But I also have just seen Love and Hip Hop
this season with ray J.

Speaker 5 (15:40):
Trying to hire you know, you gotta know this Yagamara
and get snacked by his girl and mine.

Speaker 4 (15:46):
I was getting my hair done watching this.

Speaker 5 (15:47):
So I was like, Okay, traumatized, Yeah, trauma, But I
never dated anybody like RAYJ, so that would never be
my life in the first.

Speaker 3 (15:53):
Class exactly all right, But thank you for calling get
that money. Thank you, And I'm gonna read you with this,
this person said in my comments, because I still was.

Speaker 4 (16:02):
Like, I just want to know where you're going back
and forth with them or you just left it now.

Speaker 2 (16:04):
I just I'm gonna tell you what I said and
what this person said.

Speaker 3 (16:07):
The person look, Corey Petrie said, ange, little girl, and
that's why the people sighed on you.

Speaker 2 (16:12):
At the end of the day, I'm not working with
my friends, baby Daddy. That's weird, I said.

Speaker 3 (16:17):
None of my friends sighed on me, and I don't
side by them definition of friendship. And I can separate
personal and encourage my friends to be about their business.
I would bring them an opportunity if it made sense
for their career and cheer them on.

Speaker 2 (16:27):
And I worried, like that's a fact. It's proven.

Speaker 4 (16:30):
You know, people have spoken to me about you before. Yeah,
what kind of friends?

Speaker 3 (16:33):
And none of my friends sided on me and a
good eye. You've ever done nothing to nobody's man like.
And I have encouraged my friends to like do things
if it's about money, and you know, I trust my friends,
right and now if you're not my friend, that's associate.

Speaker 5 (16:46):
Yeah, but also, like we're at a big age, like
in your twenties, maybe you'll be like, okay, having friends
that are like a little sketchy. You learn your lessons,
like when you get past that it's kind of like, hey,
you shouldn't be having these kind of people around you.

Speaker 2 (16:58):
All right.

Speaker 3 (16:58):
Well, when we come back, we have yea yea te
and it looks like Kanye West and Playboy Carti's friendship
broke up all over this new album.

Speaker 2 (17:05):
We'll talk about it. It's a way up.

Speaker 6 (17:06):
You about to off this pot. Let's get it.

Speaker 1 (17:09):
Angelus building that yee te Come and get your tea.

Speaker 3 (17:12):
It's way up at the end of La Yee Lindsay
Granger's hair, mainos in the building all right, and the
power Grangers and let's get into this yeete. So Tracy Morgan,
this went viral yesterday when he threw up on the
court at the next game, and a lot of people
had things to say. It was also Saint Patrick's Day yesterday,
so some people like Michael Blackxon was like he was

(17:33):
just drunk. Well, Tracy Morgan has since posted from the
hospital with his next logo on his phone and said,
thank you for all your concern I'm doing okay now
and doctor say it was food poisoning. Appreciate my MSG
family for taking such good care of me. And I
need to shout out the crew that had to clean
that up that got back. More importantly, the Knicks are now.

(17:54):
I want to know when I throw up on the court,
so maybe I'll have to break it out again.

Speaker 2 (17:57):
In the playoffs, she was on him, but I.

Speaker 5 (18:01):
Feel like we got to give him a little bit
of grace. I mean, man's had a life or death.

Speaker 2 (18:06):
Yeah, and people were very but people were concerned.

Speaker 3 (18:09):
But I did my first that was well, Saint Patrick's
Day is today and people were out drinking all day.

Speaker 4 (18:13):
I mean black people don't be going hard for Saint Patrick.

Speaker 2 (18:15):
They do mine for single. When I say an excuse
for drink, it's up.

Speaker 13 (18:23):
I had that conversation of the day and I was like, Yo,
we're talking about Saint Patty's Day.

Speaker 6 (18:27):
Like, may don't stop it. It's just an excuse to drink.

Speaker 2 (18:29):
Yeah, that's all people like that.

Speaker 5 (18:31):
I've never went home, man, I think of it goes crazy,
but Patrick Day is crazy.

Speaker 2 (18:37):
Yeah, all right now.

Speaker 3 (18:38):
Playboy Cardi has responded to his first week sales projections
for his album Music and It's gonna be pretty big.
According to Hip Hop All Day. This doesn't include any physicals,
but it's going to be about two hundred and fifty
thousand from.

Speaker 2 (18:53):
Just streaming units. That's huge. Yeah, I mean, good for him.

Speaker 3 (18:58):
But people are asking why weren't bundles included, and they said,
not a clue. They never report the sales like this.
It seems odd, and Playboy Carti responded, it is odd. Meanwhile,
Kanye West is upset that about Playboy Carti, and he
said he was blocked from appearing on the new album,
and so now he doesn't like the fact that I
guess Playboy Cardi went a Northwest on a song. So

(19:19):
this is all kinds of issues. And so Kanye said,
I decided north won't be doing any songs of Cardi.
How would look for me to get left off the album?
And then he asked Kim to have vocals from my daughter.
I don't f about none of this industry ish and
how it's a skims line in the first place.

Speaker 2 (19:34):
No I saw his tag hims get dragged into this.

Speaker 4 (19:36):
He tagged Kim with a skims. I don't know, but
it just was basically like asking, how can he have permission?

Speaker 2 (19:43):
But I think we need to get out of the
group chat of the whole thing now.

Speaker 3 (19:45):
He also did have another phone conversation with Diddy, which
he shared and here's what happened.

Speaker 6 (19:50):
Wicked, wicked Kim. Yeah, I need you out there, fat,
I hear you, Yes sir, yes, sir.

Speaker 2 (20:02):
Now I'm gonna show you this.

Speaker 3 (20:04):
May know, I can't read what Kanye said because it's
just too many slurs and things like that. But I
just want you to see other things that he said.
But yes, playbood CARDI does went north on a song
as well, and yeah, so I don't think it's gonna
happen if Oh my god, you see that. A lot
of caps, a lot of a lot of bad things,

(20:25):
a lot.

Speaker 2 (20:26):
Of this post.

Speaker 3 (20:27):
But doesn't it seem like Kanye no matter what, does
not get canceled. You don't, he doesn't.

Speaker 4 (20:32):
Well he's canceling and he lost all his deals.

Speaker 2 (20:36):
You cancel and stepped on the stage and roll aloud.

Speaker 6 (20:38):
They will absolutely Yeah.

Speaker 4 (20:41):
Still, yeah, that's why I'm saying that.

Speaker 3 (20:43):
All right, Well that is your yet when we come back,
we have under the radar. These are the stories that
are not necessarily in the headlines. They're flying under the raidar,
but you definitely need to know about them. Oh, here's
a good song, Big Sean and Chris Brown my last
it's way up.

Speaker 1 (20:58):
I just want to just in the news relates to you.
These stories are flying under the radar by mano.

Speaker 3 (21:05):
All right, Lindsey Grange is here with me. It's way
up it now, let's get in and listen. I know
that as a journalist you do a lot of reporting
also on politics. Yes, so I want to talk about
this with you, Linday.

Speaker 6 (21:16):
Let's do it.

Speaker 3 (21:17):
The White House. The US will not return the Statue
of Liberty to France. There's a French politician who wants
the return of the Statue of Liberty. You know, France
gave us that about one hundred and forty years ago
because he says that the US no longer represents the
values embodied by that monument.

Speaker 2 (21:32):
Now Donald Trump says he will absolutely not return the statue.
What do you think about this?

Speaker 5 (21:38):
I think that Donald Trump is an unprecedented president, and
I think the president, yeah, people do.

Speaker 4 (21:45):
Not even know how to react to him.

Speaker 5 (21:46):
And I think that that's why you're seeing like even
Democrats just like pause, like they're paralyzed.

Speaker 4 (21:50):
But France, I think, is trying to do something.

Speaker 5 (21:53):
But I also think they need to understand that in
four years, well, we're definitely going to have a different president,
and the whole US should not be penal for behavior
that you don't appreciate from Donald Trump because the rest
of us sitting here.

Speaker 2 (22:04):
Like, what are you going to do with me?

Speaker 6 (22:05):
Right? You know?

Speaker 3 (22:07):
Somebody I was talking to she was just out of
she was in South Africa, and I was asking her
because she, you know, has a business, and I was like,
what do they think, Like what's going on with these tires?

Speaker 2 (22:17):
Is that affecting your business? And She's like, Honestly, everywhere
I went, people were just like, I'm so sorry that
y'all have to deal with that right now, she said,
people actually feel bad.

Speaker 5 (22:25):
Oh, Canada told me the same thing. I have friends
that I work with there that are like, yo, you're
messing up this ally relationship. We literally export the most
steal all your prices for cars are going to go up.
Like it's all fun and games until it's.

Speaker 2 (22:36):
Not until it happens.

Speaker 3 (22:37):
And this whole auto pen situation where he was trying
to say that all of Joe Biden's pardons are null
and boy, but then it turns out Donald Trump used
auto pens before, and he said, but only for very
unimportant papers.

Speaker 2 (22:50):
Yeah, I think I think that what he does is
like you know, people who speak or speaking.

Speaker 4 (22:56):
Yeah, he just like says anything.

Speaker 5 (22:57):
And then what you have is lawsuits and what you
have is a lot of pushback and what you have
our civil suits and Supreme Court getting involved. And so
I know he already pulled the Secret Service protection from
Biden's family this week, which was crazy.

Speaker 2 (23:11):
But I thought they get that for life.

Speaker 4 (23:13):
Yeah, well not under Trump. And you would think, you know,
I would like these people to be safe.

Speaker 5 (23:17):
Their family looked out for our country and did their
job that they were hired to do by us. So
you know, I think that it's just a lot going on.
Like I said, the word I could think of is
just like unprecedented, and no one really knows how to respond.

Speaker 3 (23:29):
Yeah, and you know, Donald Trump also has said these
assassination files will be released today JFK assassination files.

Speaker 2 (23:37):
It's tens of thousands of pages. This also feels like
a distraction because he said people have been.

Speaker 3 (23:42):
Waiting decades for this. It's about eighty thousand pages, right.

Speaker 4 (23:47):
I think that the goal for the Trump administration is
to flood the market.

Speaker 5 (23:51):
So every day there's breaking news, as somebody in the media,
every day we're kind of turning our heads. And that's
the intention, so that people, journalists, Democrats do not know
how to react.

Speaker 4 (24:01):
Even Republicans are like, which should I focus on?

Speaker 5 (24:03):
And so that way he deals with the repercussions of
lawsuits and things, but not but actually has a temporary
pass to get things through.

Speaker 3 (24:09):
Now, I want to also ask you about this because
a lot of people had some issues with Chuck Schumer
and Hakeen Jeffries.

Speaker 2 (24:17):
Yes, and what do you think about this whole.

Speaker 3 (24:21):
Funding bill and this approach of you know, putting this
through even though they don't agree with things in that bill.

Speaker 4 (24:27):
So Chuck Schumer is beefing with the Democrats.

Speaker 5 (24:29):
He canceled his entire book tour, new book coming out
because he thinks of all the drama that's going to
happen at these stops with Democrats and people who want
to speak up. I think Chuck Schumer stances that, hey,
I need to say something out loud about this in
order to make Trump not go hand when he doesn't
get this bill pushed through and try everything, try every
executive water. But Democrats are like, have a backbone. They
can't pass the bill without us. And so there's like

(24:51):
a friction, but I understand that, you know, a government
shutdown is not ideal. Essentially that just means the government
is not doing its job. You know, like thousands of
employees will be out of work if we do and
get furloughed if we do shut down. So we got
to think about these people that were constantly playing with
when we hang shutdowns over their heads. These are people
that can't feed their family, possibly if they're living check
to chet, And I think.

Speaker 3 (25:10):
People don't understand that. They're like, you gotta fight hard,
let it shut down, make a statement, make take a stand,
so not.

Speaker 4 (25:15):
On these government employees back.

Speaker 5 (25:17):
So there's a point to be made about not letting
the government shut down to prove a point that democrats
want to prove. It's constantly who's in power and who
wants to let it shut down to prove their point.
And it's only happened a few handful of times in history.
But hopefully you know this wasn't It's not a good
time in this economy for to happen.

Speaker 3 (25:31):
All right, Well, that is you're under the radar. We
do have the way up mix at the top of
the hour, plus key Glock is going to be joining us.
Glacavelli is coming out and he has new singles out,
No Sweat and three Am in Tokyo is way up.

Speaker 11 (25:42):
Well, she's like the tout like they Angela Ji, like
they Angela jee Man.

Speaker 6 (25:47):
She's spilling it all. This is yet way up.

Speaker 3 (25:53):
It's way up at Angela Yee. I'm here, Lindsay Granger's
here with me. Hey, hey, hey, hey hey, let's get
into some of this yet and this is getting messy
and I want to say Real Households of Atlanta. I've
watched the first two episodes of this new season. You know,
it took over a year for that show to come back. Yeah,
they were having all kinds of cast issues, but now
Shamiah is the glue holding the cast together. And people

(26:14):
were saying that they feel like, you know, Porsha and Shamiah,
their relationship might feel a bit tense, but they grew
up together.

Speaker 2 (26:20):
They've known each other a long time. But it's also
reality TV now.

Speaker 3 (26:23):
When Shamiyah was up here, you know, I questioned her
about it because it's something that people are really writing
whole thing pieces about.

Speaker 5 (26:30):
And here's what she said. I can only focus on me.
I try to be the best friend that I can
be to my friends and hope that it's reciprocated. And
when it's not, there's only so much I can do
about that. I can just want to continue to show
up and be the person that I know how to
be how my parents raised me.

Speaker 3 (26:45):
All right, Well, another person who is now weighing in
is Candy, and Candy and Shamiah are friends. Shamia has
been on Candy Show and all of that her podcasts,
And here's what Candy has to say about Shamiah and
Porsha's relationship.

Speaker 14 (26:57):
What I think is that they have some issues doing this,
and they really don't mess with each other like that
right now, but they're doing the fake I'm messing with
like if they're in the same room or in front
of the cameras, or if they're at or people are
doing pressed, they're like, oh, yeah, that's my girl.

Speaker 2 (27:10):
Knowing they ain't messing with each other right now.

Speaker 3 (27:13):
And Candy's not on the show decision, she stepped away
from it, but she knows about housewives. She definitely knows
about Housewives, and so I saw people in the comments
coming for her.

Speaker 2 (27:23):
But I think if anybody knows how that show operates,
if she.

Speaker 4 (27:27):
Does, and I think that like friends too.

Speaker 5 (27:29):
It sucks because you introduce a new friend to something
that you've been doing for years, like Portia did, and
then it gets sloppy. That's again frustrating, back to that
friend's things like yeah, you want to put money in
their pocket and now.

Speaker 3 (27:40):
But you know, and Shemiah's defense, Sma has been on
the show numerous times like before that just didn't have
a piece. But she said she turned it down because
her husband was the person who didn't want her.

Speaker 7 (27:49):
To do it.

Speaker 3 (27:50):
Understandable, Yeah, and so he did not want to film
and you know they're not gonna film you without your
husband on right Housewives?

Speaker 2 (27:56):
So all right, now let's talk about gil being.

Speaker 3 (28:00):
She recently was one lip Service and they've been talking
about this Snowfall spinoff for the longest, the longest, right
that she was going to start in. There were all
kinds of reporters, but she had to say when she
was on Lip Service Snowfall, they keep on saying this
spinoff is happening, that you're on what is going on?

Speaker 6 (28:18):
What is going on to spinoff?

Speaker 2 (28:20):
Come on?

Speaker 12 (28:22):
Yeah?

Speaker 3 (28:26):
Allegedly it focuses on you and Leon, Yeah, which we
love well. You know, it's been announced that Yes, FX
has ordered that pilot episode, so looks like it's happening.

Speaker 2 (28:39):
That's good.

Speaker 5 (28:39):
It's such a good omaster. Johnson Singleton, who you know
passed away. It was green lit baby another one, and
I'm happy.

Speaker 6 (28:45):
To see it.

Speaker 3 (28:46):
Yeah, me too, And I think she's really dope, Like
I enjoyed that episode and I know. So now is
the time for all of you all to catch up
on Snowfall.

Speaker 4 (28:56):
Excuding me, I'm not gonna lie.

Speaker 5 (28:57):
I love John's but I haven't watched it, and I
know I'm late. I watched Game of Thrones late.

Speaker 2 (29:02):
I watched everything every day.

Speaker 3 (29:03):
I told you I just started watching White Lotus and
finally I'm all caught up.

Speaker 4 (29:07):
So so, but I'll watch it before this new season,
I promised.

Speaker 2 (29:09):
All right, and that is your you see.

Speaker 3 (29:12):
Lastly, I do want to just briefly mention because I
saw this story about Tyler Perry. He actually stepped in
to pay a mortgage for an eighty five year old woman.
He saw his story on Sherry Shepherd or the New
Sherry Shepherd said that he's paying off her mortgage.

Speaker 2 (29:27):
She went on there.

Speaker 3 (29:27):
He said he's paying the entire mortgage so you can
live in the home that you love. And she had
actually tried to do these renovations. They signed a contract
in January. They were supposed to be finished March thirty first,
but unfortunately, you know what happens to contractors. A lot
of times things don't go right. So now shout out
to Tyler Perry for doing an amazing thing for Anice Tisdal,

(29:48):
who's eighty five years old.

Speaker 5 (29:49):
And Tyler Perry is good in my book, from his
speech to any Stone's funeral to this to everything else
that people say that you hear the most for actresses
and actors.

Speaker 4 (29:57):
I mean, he seems like a great person.

Speaker 3 (29:59):
All right, Well, when we come, I'm back, ask yee
eight hundred two ninety two fifty one fifty call us
up any question. Eight hundred two nine two fifty one fifty.
Here is the R and B Artist of the Year,
Sizza with Saturn his way.

Speaker 1 (30:10):
Up with its relationship for career advice, Angela's dropping facts
you should you should know.

Speaker 2 (30:15):
This is Aske what's up his way up with Angela?

Speaker 6 (30:18):
Yee?

Speaker 2 (30:19):
I'm here with Lindsay Granger.

Speaker 3 (30:20):
Hey, and it's time for asking, and I see you
getting ready for your advice, to get some advice.

Speaker 4 (30:24):
I was good looking advice already.

Speaker 6 (30:26):
Yeah, you was.

Speaker 2 (30:26):
Getting advice ready, Like okay, let's go.

Speaker 6 (30:28):
Oprah energy on.

Speaker 2 (30:29):
All right, Well, we have Lamar on the line. What's up, Lamar?
I'm good. Me and Lindsay are ready for your question.

Speaker 8 (30:38):
He and my wife been together for years, but we
haven't been married. Going on board and you know it's
always real fashion. But I'm just trying to figure out
you could give me some vice and a good gesture
hill my wife twenty four years.

Speaker 4 (30:52):
I know you're gonna go through some up and downs.

Speaker 5 (30:53):
I feel like you have to be willing to be
flexible in relationships and understand that that person is not
gonna stay the exact person that you met. Hopefully they're
going to grow into a better person, but you're also
going to grow alongside them and be open to embracing
that newness.

Speaker 4 (31:07):
But also like learning together and being in communicating.

Speaker 3 (31:09):
Experiences are always the best presence as far as a
gesture slast gift.

Speaker 4 (31:15):
I agree, book me a flight and I'll be back
on good terms.

Speaker 3 (31:18):
And even if it's like a road trip, you know
where you guys can get in a car together and
you don't tell her where you guys are going, making
something special that you know she loves and that she'll enjoy. Right,
And I'm all for like a good road trip where
you book a hotel because I don't know how busy
you guys are or financially if you can, like you know,
take all of that, But it might be just something

(31:39):
as simple as that where you're like, look, pack a
or you know what, don't even let her you pack
an overnight bag for her?

Speaker 2 (31:46):
No, no, no, okay, all right, come.

Speaker 4 (31:49):
On, throw some stuff in there that don't go with
the occasion for me.

Speaker 2 (31:52):
But you know what else, I'd like, yeah, let her
pack her back, give her like a little.

Speaker 6 (31:57):
Bit of notice.

Speaker 5 (31:58):
But definitely I think that when you guys have that
time to just talk by yourselves. Do you guys have kids, Yeah,
So when.

Speaker 4 (32:07):
You guys have that time, that's part of somebody to
watch the kids.

Speaker 2 (32:10):
You got somebody that could watch the kids.

Speaker 3 (32:14):
Even if it's just like going to a hotel for
one night where you get out of your regular environment
and it's a yeah, staycation, it's a surprise.

Speaker 2 (32:24):
Maybe there's a little spy treatment.

Speaker 3 (32:26):
And if you're driving somewhere if you have, like a
nice playlist of all her favorite.

Speaker 2 (32:30):
Songs, because you know what songs are meaningful that mean
a lot to you guys, Just thoughtful things that means
I might like, where are we going on?

Speaker 3 (32:42):
But a lot of times when it shows that you
put some effort into something, I think that means the most.

Speaker 2 (32:47):
Even if it's like you're going to be at home.
Maybe she comes home and she didn't know you were
going to be there, and.

Speaker 3 (32:52):
You cooked, and you have the house clean, you know,
get a house keeper to come clean the whole house
so she don't have to do it.

Speaker 2 (32:57):
What are we feeling to come home in the house
is clean?

Speaker 5 (33:00):
Any of you above to me, I'll be sold on
a good move y'all just kind of confirmed, yes, do that.

Speaker 6 (33:10):
Do it?

Speaker 5 (33:11):
And but you gotta take charge and just get it done.
Don't talk to her about it anymore besides pack your bag.

Speaker 4 (33:17):
That's what I needed to hear.

Speaker 2 (33:19):
And listen.

Speaker 3 (33:19):
Get some good smelling candles too, so when you get
in the room, you like the camp little massage oil,
give her massage after the spa.

Speaker 2 (33:28):
Bottle of wine, bring some wine.

Speaker 4 (33:30):
You gotta follow up and let us know how well
it went. Because like you can't. We can't listen here,
all right?

Speaker 2 (33:36):
Well enjoy, okay, thank you, all right, thank you for
calling my man listening? No right, well that is asking.

Speaker 3 (33:46):
And when we come back, Key Glock is going to
be joining us. He's got two new singles out right now,
No Sweat and three Am in Tokyo.

Speaker 2 (33:55):
He's got a new album on the way. Glac of
l E y Block is way up.

Speaker 6 (34:00):
Who about to do this one of the ms to
flame this women in radio audio? Man, we're talking about
Angela ye. You're way up with angela ye.

Speaker 3 (34:07):
Please believe that what's up its way up at Angela yee.
And look who's back in the building. Key Glock is here.

Speaker 6 (34:13):
Yeah.

Speaker 13 (34:14):
I didn't even feel like jumping out the bed, but
I had to. You got what to do, and you
was first out, Like, yeah, I rock with angel.

Speaker 3 (34:21):
I appreciate that you got a new album on the way,
all right, Blackavelli And I see the cover is reminiscent
of the Tupac.

Speaker 6 (34:30):
Yeah.

Speaker 13 (34:30):
Anyway, I just didn't want to put myself on the cross,
so I just put a throw on the crown on
my head, all.

Speaker 3 (34:36):
Right, And what made you come up with that? Like
as far as the title and channeling the Machavelli.

Speaker 13 (34:41):
When you think a part like how they display him,
it's like it just stood like all the time. But
when you read more about him, when you look more
into him, like he was actually smart and he stood
for you know what I'm saying, certain things that you
wouldn't even know about.

Speaker 3 (34:56):
What does key clock stand for? Because clearly that's something
that you thought connect did too.

Speaker 6 (35:00):
My biggest thing is Lord too. I'll take that over love.

Speaker 3 (35:04):
You know, I feel like those go hand in hand though,
right you think you could be loyal to somebody and
I love them, prove love okay through loyalty. But do
you think you could love somebody and not be loyal
That's that question.

Speaker 15 (35:16):
You know.

Speaker 3 (35:17):
Men she all the time, but they'll be like, well
I did love her, But for some reason men don't
equate maybe with friendships and families.

Speaker 13 (35:25):
Different levels of love, like phases of love, like some
women might get more love than the next one.

Speaker 3 (35:34):
Right now, kid Glock is here, his new album Glacaveelli
is on the way. Well, I want to talk about
this three am in Tokyo.

Speaker 2 (35:41):
I love that song.

Speaker 3 (35:42):
So DJ Paul had a hand in producing that, So
talk to me about how this all came about this.

Speaker 13 (35:47):
Particular day, he just just sent the pack out of nowhere,
like fifteen twenty beats, And that one just stuck out
to me the most that day because I was actually
in Tokyo and I recorded it in my hotel. When
I got done recording it, I just went to the
city and was just shot at the video.

Speaker 2 (36:04):
Who is that guy at the end? So he just
was talking like what was it?

Speaker 6 (36:12):
Was real?

Speaker 13 (36:12):
It was like I would shooting my last scene and
he didn't want to like walk in front of the camera,
like being away or whatever, so he kind of like
just stayed back and just watched the whole thing. So yeah,
my camera had had him still rolling, so he was like,
I'm glad I stopped to wait for the thing. He
was being sarcastic or whatever, but I just kept.

Speaker 6 (36:33):
It in the video.

Speaker 3 (36:33):
That was pretty funny. And I was like a three am.
Who knows what people are doing at three am in Tokyo.
I've never been to Tokyo. What was that experience like
for you?

Speaker 6 (36:42):
It's like Miami No Beach in New York.

Speaker 2 (36:45):
I know, you got some shopping done the whole time.

Speaker 6 (36:48):
I probably spent like almost thirty thousand a day. I
was out there. Oh my god, I'm not just all
to myself there. It was just.

Speaker 2 (36:56):
Hello, you said, not just myself, you know.

Speaker 6 (37:02):
With me, Okay, I have my boys with me.

Speaker 2 (37:06):
That's nice.

Speaker 6 (37:06):
I didn't be there.

Speaker 2 (37:07):
You were generous when it comes. Well, that's good. Right now,
Kidlock is there.

Speaker 3 (37:15):
He's got two new singles out right now, and he
has a new album glack Belly on the way May second.

Speaker 2 (37:19):
We have more with him when we come back. It's
way up.

Speaker 6 (37:22):
Yeah, you want to know my name? Way up with Angela?

Speaker 2 (37:27):
What's Up's way up with Angela?

Speaker 6 (37:29):
Yee?

Speaker 3 (37:29):
And I'm here with my guy from Memphis, Keylock. When
