Ye ye, it's way up with Angela yee. Happy Friday,
Happy Valentine's Day, Happy All Star Weekend.
Speaker 3 (00:19):
Happy new music release Day.
Speaker 2 (00:22):
It's a very active one. I'm actually in San Francisco,
Dan is my producer. You're back in New York, right, Yes,
I am. And yesterday I was actually at the NBA
Foundation's All Star Pitch competition. I was one of the judges,
and so I'm gonna break that down for you. But
you know what I met yesterday. That was amazing. Mark Tatum.
(00:43):
He's the Deputy Commissioner of the NBA, but he actually
grew up in Brooklyn and Flap Bush, just like me.
He's also black and Asian, just like me. Went to
Brooklyn Tech so where my dad went. So shout out
to him. Yeah, do you know who he is?
Speaker 4 (00:59):
I've not heard of him.
Speaker 3 (01:01):
Yeah, So basically he's next up, you know.
Speaker 2 (01:04):
And Adam Silver was there too, by the way, the
commissioner for the NBA. So we all took a picture.
But I'm gonna tell you guys about that later. It
is about to be activities out here in San Francisco.
Anybody who's out here for All Star weekend. If you
see me, holler at me. Just out here celebrating, having
a good time. But let's start to show off with
some love, some positivity. Let's shine a light eight hundred
(01:25):
two ninety two fifty one fifty Call us up. I
know y'all listening to that Drake and Party next Door album,
but we'll talk about it.
Speaker 3 (01:32):
It's way up.
Speaker 5 (01:33):
I'm a shame.
Speaker 6 (01:34):
Turn your lights on, y'all saspreading love to those who
are doing greatness.
Speaker 1 (01:38):
Shine a light on, shine a light on. It's time
to shine a light on them.
Speaker 2 (01:45):
It's way up at Angela Ye, and I'm out here
in San Francisco. My producer Dan is back in New
York because how could you be away for Valentine's Day?
And Dan, I know you want to shine a light
on somebody.
Speaker 4 (01:55):
Yes, I do. I want to shine a light on
my fiance read A Nasa soon to be Rida Green.
We're getting married in April. I love you, baby. I
know this time is stressful. I know we're going through
a lot. We got a lot on our plate. We're
gonna get through it.
Speaker 3 (02:07):
Can't just like your wedding came up quick.
Speaker 4 (02:10):
No, we booked it like a in half an advance.
Speaker 2 (02:12):
But I know, but it just feels cool. Yeah, times, Yeah,
it's definitely flying. Yeah, well, congratulations, we shine a light
on you, Rita. All right now, Bernardo, who do you
want to shine a light on.
Speaker 7 (02:24):
I've wanted to sign the light on my daughter and
my fiance and later Valentine's Day. Just wanted to give
him a shout out some of them, how much I
love them and appreciate.
Speaker 3 (02:32):
Some so much, you said, your daughter and your fiance.
Speaker 7 (02:35):
Yes, ma'am, what are their names?
Speaker 5 (02:39):
All right?
Speaker 2 (02:39):
Well, thank you so much, shout out, shout out to
you too.
Speaker 7 (02:42):
Appreciate you guys.
Speaker 2 (02:43):
Stay safe, all right, Well that was shining light eight
hundred and two ninety two fifty one fifty. If you
couldn't get through, you could leave a message that way.
And let's start the ut off with some positive things.
It is a day of love today. We'll tell you
who's in love and just recently got engaged. It's way up,
they says.
Speaker 6 (03:01):
From industry shade to all of gossip out angels feeling that.
Speaker 2 (03:07):
Yeah, it's way up. At Angela Ye, it's Angela yee.
I'm here live from San Francisco. All Star weekend. Dan,
my producers here with me too. So he's in New
York night. Valentine's Happy Valentine's Day, and let's get into
some yet. Speaking of Valentine's Day, People Magazine has the
exclusive of all the details of Devon Franklin and his
(03:28):
now fiance Maria Castile's whole engagement.
Speaker 3 (03:31):
They got engaged.
Speaker 2 (03:32):
While on vacation in Hawaii on December twenty seventh. They
were posing for pictures, they were on the beach, they
were doing all of that, and he told her, you know,
this whole time has really been an engagement photo shoot.
And that's when he dropped to the ground and pulled
out an engagement ring and asked her to marry him.
They were actually introduced by a mutual friend and who
(03:54):
thought they would be good for each other. And they've
been dating since like last year sometime. All right, beautiful
thing speak, Yeah, that is pretty quick. He's forty six,
she's twenty nine, and I'm you know, he was married
to making Good as well, and she's engaged too, So
all right now, speaking of couples, Rihanna was in court.
She attended closing arguments for ACEP Rocky's gun trial. And
(04:18):
she also bought their kids ZiT and riot with them.
She's been in the courtroom intermittently throughout the three weeks,
but yesterday was the first time that their two sons
joined her a while in court. As you know, acep
Rocky did not take the stand. What do you think
is going to happen now as the closing arguments have happened.
Speaker 4 (04:36):
I don't know. I hope he gets off.
Speaker 2 (04:39):
Yeah, he's been charged with two felony counts of assault
with this semi automatic firearm. Prosecutors are recommending eight to
ten years.
Speaker 3 (04:46):
Now.
Speaker 2 (04:47):
The judge reminded juror's self defense is valid if it's
determined that he reasonably believed he was in danger of
suffering bodily injury. Again, he was saying that it was
a prop gun that he was using, so prosecutors have
to prove that it was not, and so it'll be interesting.
Speaker 4 (05:04):
Yeah, but then there was a course that the prop
gun really shellcasing.
Speaker 2 (05:07):
So but they did say that the particular type of
prop gun that he had does have shellfeare that, so
they did say that. So Yeah, a lot of back
and forth with this, so it could go either way.
But you know, I am also feeling like there's a
lot of things that happen.
Speaker 3 (05:24):
You have to prove it beyond a reasonable doubt.
Speaker 2 (05:27):
All right, fifty cents, I know he was excited about
this Big Meach's concert was canceled, But it was canceled
like two hours before it was said to happen. I
saw one person was on social media and was like,
I'm on this flight. There's like twelve of us flying
down for this concert, and then it got canceled right
before him. Now, of course, fifty cent posted, I had
nothing to do with this. Please stop calling my phone.
(05:49):
I sincerely hope you have a nice day today. Happy
Valentine's Day. I'm stronger than you think I am. But
that was the first thing we thought of, And I
saw Rick Ross was on social media telling everybody to
go to the Office and if you had tickets to
the concert, you get into the office for free. That's
a very well known strip club in Miami. You've been there, Dan,
I have not. I've definitely been to the Office a
(06:10):
few times.
Speaker 3 (06:11):
As a matter of fact, one day when I was there,
that's the first time I met Easter Ray. She was
there too. School a long time ago.
Speaker 4 (06:17):
When I go to Miami.
Speaker 2 (06:19):
Okay, been there too, Be careful, no more of that.
But yeah, so you know, according to fifty cent, he
had nothing to do with it.
Speaker 3 (06:28):
But he did, of course have some jokes.
Speaker 2 (06:30):
He took this scene from Love and Hip Hop Atlanta
of Young Jack and here's what he posted. He used
AI to replace, to replace their faces with big meat
and little meach.
Speaker 5 (06:40):
It's your father losing his multi me and all the
business for another.
Speaker 1 (06:44):
You checking over him, You ain't checking on me. Let
me talk, Jimmy, shopping talk.
Speaker 5 (06:50):
My levels of anxiety are way too high right now,
and I just feel like my son don't get it.
Speaker 1 (06:56):
It's like he's reading the.
Speaker 5 (06:57):
Social cues and realized he about to show me off
the peep eve.
Speaker 3 (07:02):
All right, all right, typical fifty cent style trolling.
Speaker 2 (07:06):
And that is your eet. Now, when we come back,
we have about last night. Of course, I'll tell you
about this pitch competition that I'm here for for the
NBA Foundation, And you know what, let's go into some drake.
Let's throw it back to hold on. We're going home.
Even though we've got some new music out today with
Party next Door. We'll get into that a little later
it's whoa night nice.
Speaker 6 (07:27):
So about last night, Yes, Giza went down.
Speaker 2 (07:34):
All right, it's way up with Angela Yee. I am
in San Francisco. It's All Star weekend. Dan is holding
it down in New York for me in the studio
and shout out to Shaye Diddy out here in the bay.
Speaker 3 (07:47):
But I want to talk about what I did last night.
Speaker 2 (07:49):
So the reason that I'm here is for the NBA Foundation,
And thank you to Jenisha, thank you to Laurence Sales.
We're going to have them on at some point to
talk about what the NBA Foundation does. But they were
actually out here doing this All Star Pitch competition, and
this is something that they've been doing every year. And
what they do is they give out money one hundred
(08:10):
and fifty thousand dollars to emerging entrepreneurs. And so this competition,
the first, second and third place prize is for funding.
Speaker 3 (08:18):
For these people. And they don't take a piece of
your company.
Speaker 2 (08:21):
It's just basically like here, here's a grant for you
guys to take things to the next level. And so
it were seven businesses that were pitching, and I was
one of the judges.
Speaker 3 (08:31):
So when I tell you stuff like this I love.
The hardest part though.
Speaker 2 (08:34):
Is not being able to give everybody the money, because
if you make it that far past like thousands of
people that submitted, and you get down to the final seven,
you already know anybody could have got that money.
Speaker 3 (08:44):
You know what I'm saying? Insolute?
Speaker 4 (08:46):
Were there any pitches that set up?
Speaker 3 (08:48):
Yeah? I mean, and you know what's great about it?
Speaker 2 (08:50):
And I just want to say one last thing because
for everybody who competed, they also gave you training for
the pitch competition, so you actually got to sit down
with people and get a lot of guidance. And there
were people who actually didn't make it into the top
three last night, but also made some great relationships. There
was one person who actually was like, can we talk
after I want to talk about some funding. Janisha was
(09:12):
telling us last night about a previous pitch competition where
the person didn't get the money, but then they ended
up getting funding from somebody who was in the audience
and now has grown their business major.
Speaker 4 (09:23):
That's awesome.
Speaker 2 (09:24):
So you just never know who's in the audience and
who's going to be there to help out. And the
power Well, yeah, the person who did win, he has
this company called Resume, and he he actually went first,
which is sometimes really difficult to do.
Speaker 3 (09:37):
But they help recruit.
Speaker 2 (09:39):
Train, and retain candidates with candidates with prior justice system involvement,
so you know, when you're applying for a job and
a lot of times people won't hire you based off
of things in the past. When he was fifteen, he said,
for ten years he was in and out. He ended
up going to Stanford later on in life and then
starting this resume. It's a technology platform, so it does
give people incentives to ho people who were a justice
(10:01):
system impacted and all of that. So I just thought
it was a great Yeah, it was a great tool
for people to be able to use.
Speaker 3 (10:08):
So that was my last night. What about you?
Speaker 4 (10:10):
I cooked dinner.
Speaker 8 (10:11):
That's it.
Speaker 4 (10:12):
Keep it light.
Speaker 3 (10:12):
Loved that? Did you post it?
Speaker 8 (10:14):
No?
Speaker 4 (10:14):
It wasn't that pretty?
Speaker 3 (10:16):
Okay? All right? Well, sometimes in order for things to
taste good, they don't have to be pretty.
Speaker 2 (10:20):
When we come back, that leads right into tell us
a secret. Maybe you had something that wasn't pretty but
tasted good. Eight hundred two fifty one fifty is a number.
Call us up again. You get to stay anonymous, and
it's a no judgment zone, and we mean that when
we say no judgment, we really do not judge you
maybe anyway. Eight hundred two nine two fifty one fifty.
(10:42):
Call us up, tell us a secret. It's a no
judgment zone. That's eight hundred nine two fifty one fifty.
It is Valentine's Day, so I know y'all got some secrets.
Speaker 3 (10:51):
It's way up, yo.
Speaker 1 (10:54):
This is a judgment free zone. Tell us a secret.
Speaker 3 (10:57):
What's up?
Speaker 2 (10:58):
Its way up at Angela yee and Happy Friday. And
Friday also means tell us a secret. Eight hundred two
nine two fifty one fifty.
Speaker 3 (11:06):
You know the deal.
Speaker 2 (11:06):
It is a no judgment zone and you get to
stay anatomous, but step anatomous call it tell us a secret.
Speaker 9 (11:12):
Yeah. So, my husband is a known pedophile. I actually
turned him into the police and nothing came of the case,
and I left him and we have three kids together,
and I have been gone for a few months and
now I'm facing a situation where I am about to
be homeless. And I have went behind my family and
(11:36):
friends back and have started talking to him again, and
I feel like I have no other choice but to
move back in with him.
Speaker 2 (11:45):
Oh my god, your friends and family won't help you
in this situation.
Speaker 8 (11:50):
No.
Speaker 9 (11:50):
They helped me move from Washington State to Florida, and
they gave me a time limit, and the time is up.
I'm trying to to keep my kids under one roof.
Speaker 2 (12:02):
Are you concerned about your kids because your husband is
a pedophile.
Speaker 9 (12:08):
I have all boys, and I'm trying to convince myself
that they're safe because they're boys and not girls. But
I feel like it's better if i'm you know, with
them twenty four to seven, so I can make sure
that they're good for sure.
Speaker 2 (12:22):
I wish we could find a way to get you
some help other than that, Like, I hate this for you.
You turn this man in I don't even know. Oh
my god, I am praying for you right now that
you find another way.
Speaker 9 (12:34):
Thank you, love.
Speaker 2 (12:35):
Have you told your family this is what I might
have to do? You said you went behind your.
Speaker 9 (12:39):
Back, So yeah, I haven't told them. They would just
shame me for it.
Speaker 2 (12:45):
They can't shame me for it and not support. Yeah,
Oh my god, I'm praying for you. I know this
is tell us a secret. It's anonymous, so off the air,
our producer is gonna get you. I want to see
if there's some help we can get you. Oh, thank you,
Hey anonymous color, how are you you?
Speaker 9 (13:00):
Hi?
Speaker 8 (13:01):
How are you?
Speaker 3 (13:02):
You want to tell us a secret?
Speaker 5 (13:03):
Yeah?
Speaker 7 (13:03):
I have a secie fetish.
Speaker 2 (13:05):
A fece s fetish. So is it somebody doing that
to you? Are you doing that to someone?
Speaker 9 (13:11):
Well?
Speaker 7 (13:11):
When I was a kid, I used to be a
seat sniffer. You know, someone gets up and the seat
is kind of warm, go smell it.
Speaker 8 (13:18):
So h.
Speaker 7 (13:19):
As I got older, I just like to take different
species sometimes, Like if I have like company, they use
the bathroom under the seat, I'll, you know, just taste
it a little bit.
Speaker 2 (13:32):
Okay, this is a night judgment. Wow, there's a name
for that, coprophilia. Do you get aroused from it or
what does it do for you?
Speaker 8 (13:41):
No?
Speaker 7 (13:41):
I just like to taste the different you know. I
like to see what people ate. I can kind of
like sell what you ate.
Speaker 2 (13:47):
All right, Okay, that's interesting. I guess it doesn't hurt anybody.
Speaker 7 (13:51):
Yeah. I go to restaurant sometime and try different stools.
Speaker 2 (13:56):
Thank you for sharing. It's no judgment, all right, Thanks?
What about Curry?
Speaker 3 (14:00):
All right?
Speaker 2 (14:00):
Well that was tell us a secret eight hundred two
ninety two fifty one fifty. If you couldn't get through
or on the iHeartRadio app, tap that microphone and you
can leave your secret that way.
Speaker 3 (14:09):
When we come back, we have your yee t.
Speaker 1 (14:11):
Let's so she's about to blow the lead ab off
this spot. Let's get it.
Speaker 6 (14:14):
Oh yeah, angelus building that yeezee.
Speaker 1 (14:16):
Come and get the tea.
Speaker 2 (14:19):
Yes way up with angela yee and it's time for
your yee t now. Jalen hurts people are really commending
him for the fact that it feels like he's been
really good with his money. He talks about how he
basically lives below his means and how he spent his
first million dollars after being drafted by the Eagles. He
(14:39):
did a recent interview with GQ and talked about what
his biggest expense has been to date.
Speaker 3 (14:45):
Here's what he said we.
Speaker 10 (14:46):
When he talked about this one to anybody, not even
my parents or my sister, even just in case she
needs it in the future. She's sixteen now and she's
gonna go to college one day, just in case she
needs it, to have seventy thousand set aside.
Speaker 1 (14:59):
For her to go to just incase your music she.
Speaker 10 (15:01):
Plays volleyball, so she could very well get a scholarship
and good place and will for free.
Speaker 3 (15:08):
That's a beautiful thing. They also talk about the.
Speaker 2 (15:10):
Home that he lives in. He's not too extravagant, so
all the things that can make you really be good
at investing later on in life. And I think right
now in particular, people are like, Okay, how can I
just you know, not do the most luxury retail is
down a lot right now?
Speaker 3 (15:25):
All right, now, let's get into some real tea with
Kanye West.
Speaker 9 (15:30):
Now.
Speaker 2 (15:30):
According to Fixer, his name is Kevin Black. He is
the person that he's like, a former sex tape broker.
He did Paris Hilton's sex tape. One night in Paris,
he went on his Instagram story to share a picture
of Kanye. I guess it's supposed to be allegedly a
screenshot from a sex tape, and he captioned it, remember
(15:52):
that sex tape I helped take off the market for
you in twenty twelve with that hooker in Vegas. And
then he said, yeah, this jew didn't forget what a
horrible performance and small egg planing mod you.
Speaker 3 (16:03):
Had on MDMA.
Speaker 2 (16:04):
Hey, why don't you go f your favorite person in
the world yourself, And so he told the US son
that he wanted to send a message to Kanye. He said,
he's not trying to make money off of this now,
but he said, the only reason I'm talking about it
now is because I want Kanye to realize that his
actions have consequences. I don't want him to forget how
many Jewish people like me have helped him over the
course of his career. He is surrounded by Jewish people
(16:26):
every day and they have helped him reach the top
of his game. And then he's going to say these
disgusting things. And so I don't know what if this
sex tape could end up seeing the light of day.
But it's twelve years old, all right. And there are
also rumors that Kanye and his wife are getting divorced,
but according to a rep they are not heading for divorce.
(16:48):
There were reports from The Daily Mail that they had
broken up they were starting to plan the process of
legally ending their marriage in the coming days, but according
to his rep, Milo, he said Yay and Bianca are
in Los Angeles about to enjoy Valentine's Day together. Announcements
about their private life will come from them directly. Not
unsourced rumors in the tabloid press, and so yes, this
(17:11):
is a guess not happening Israe canceled her Kennedy Center
event after Donald Trump has become the new chairman. She
had a previously sold out event that was to be
held at the Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts. After
news that Donald Trump was elected the center's new chairman,
she posted to her Instagram story, thanks for selling out
(17:31):
her event and evening with Ray, But unfortunately, due to
what I believe to be an infringement on the values
of an institution that has faithfully celebrated artists of all
backgrounds through all mediums, I've decided to cancel my appearance
at this venue. All right, well that is your yet
and when we come back. We have under the radar.
These are the stories that are not necessarily in the headlines.
(17:53):
They're flying under the radar, but yet definitely need to
know about them. Now, let's hear some pop smoke. It's
way up in the news.
Speaker 1 (18:00):
To you, these stories are flying under the radar.
Speaker 2 (18:04):
Yeah, it's way up with Angela. Ye, Dan is here
with us. Well, he's in he's in New York. I'm
in San Francisco All Star Weekend, and let's get to
these under the radar story. Since it is All Star
weekend and I am in San Francisco, let's talk about
the Golden State Warriors. Apparently they are the first NBA team,
the only NBA team with its own record label. It's
(18:27):
called Golden State Entertainment. They have a new album that
released this week is called for the Soil and it
features some of the Bay area's top music artists.
Speaker 3 (18:37):
We have a snippet of a song. It's called Players.
Speaker 2 (18:39):
Tribune, Players Holiday. Okay, it's called Players Holiday. Here it is.
(19:06):
That sounds good. I'm not mad at a g eazy
Larry June Pilo. The album features two shorts sweety e
forty Larussel.
Speaker 3 (19:15):
Uh so it sounds pretty dope. What do you think
of that song, game?
Speaker 2 (19:19):
I like it stampling a Lovely Day. Yeah, So shout
out to them for that. Now, Pilo said, a basketball
team with a record label is unheard of until now,
which is a testament to the Warriors and to the
Bay It's about innovation, bringing a new idea to the table.
And interestingly enough, they've done this with Empire, and you know,
(19:40):
Empire is based out here as well.
Speaker 3 (19:41):
Shout out to Gazi.
Speaker 2 (19:42):
I know he's having a big party out here in
San Francisco tonight. So I feel like the NBA and
music is just so also closely related. There's been a
lot of artists who also do music. I mean a
lot of artists who also play in the NBA and
vice versa and stuff. Well, not in the NBA, but
remember Jay Cole was trying to play professionally, and then
(20:04):
there's a lot of ball players who also do music.
Speaker 4 (20:06):
Absolutely, I could see this catching fire and all the
teams wanting to do this.
Speaker 2 (20:11):
What if you play for a different team, but now
you want to sign.
Speaker 3 (20:16):
Musically.
Speaker 4 (20:17):
It's a recruiting tactic.
Speaker 2 (20:18):
Now, yeah, now that you have to put in the contract,
Like if you play here for the Brooklyn Nest, you
can't go and sign to Golden State Entertainment.
Speaker 4 (20:26):
For those big but the big markets with like the
New York's and the Californias and the Miamis that have
big music industries, you know, Atlanta, that could be a
new recruiting tactic if they start something like this.
Speaker 2 (20:35):
Right, we'll give you a record deal too, all right, Well,
anyway that is you're under the radar. And by the way, yes,
TikTok is back on the on the on the Apple
Store and cap cut. So for everybody that was buying
phones that had TikTok on it because you couldn't download it,
looks like TikTok's not going anywhere anytime soon.
Speaker 3 (20:57):
All right, Well that is your under the radar now,
you know.
Speaker 2 (21:00):
So later on we do have new music, and so
of course we're going to talk about Drake and Party
next Door. A whole lot a lot has happened today
and last night since that album came out, and I
do want.
Speaker 3 (21:11):
To say some Sexy Songs for you.
Speaker 2 (21:13):
Is the fastest album to reach number one on US
Apple Music in twenty twenty five. We'll talk about some
of the highlights from the album, what everybody's saying about it.
Speaker 3 (21:21):
We'll get all into it.
Speaker 1 (21:22):
It's way up, man, she's spilling it all. This is
yeaty way up.
Speaker 3 (21:29):
It's way up at angela yee, and it's that time.
Speaker 2 (21:32):
It's yea tea time, and we are finally going to
talk about this Drake and Party next Door album.
Speaker 3 (21:38):
Are you ready? Dan, Let's do it. But first I
want to shout.
Speaker 2 (21:42):
Out to Thames and is Ray Thames has just made
history as the first African born woman to hold ownership
steak in a major league soccer club, a San Diego
FC's ownership group. So congratulations to her. Congratulations to Ray
as well. She is joining the club in partnership with
Pave Investments. Love to see it. Okay, all right, good and.
Speaker 3 (22:07):
All right.
Speaker 2 (22:07):
Now let's get into this Drake and Party next Door album.
Speaker 3 (22:11):
Some sexy songs for you. This came out last night.
Speaker 2 (22:14):
Now, one of the songs on there is called Brian Steele.
That's the attorney who represented Young Thug during his reco trial.
And here is some of what he had to say
on the album. Now, I just want to in perspective,
let you guys know that Young Thug really wants to
settle things between Drake, metro Booman, and Future. You know,
he's cool with all of them, but unfortunately metro Booman
(22:36):
in Future is cool the Kendick Lamar. You know, everything
popped off kind of after Kendick Lamar did that verse
on their song.
Speaker 3 (22:44):
So here is that verse from from Brian Steele. All right.
Speaker 2 (22:49):
New York Times reported Joe Coscarelli reached out and posted
a screenshot of what Brian Still had to say in
response to having a whole song named after him, he said,
I've had the honor and pleasure of meeting with me
inst he is so kind, considerate, generous, inspirational, intelligent, a
trueleader and great model for our community. But he did
say he was unaware of the song prior to that,
(23:09):
but seems like it's all positive.
Speaker 3 (23:11):
Right, Oh yeah, yeah, you're aware of Like that's all.
Speaker 2 (23:15):
Right, you know, just trying to have a conversation here
and then the song that I think has been number
one trending, and I do want to point out that
this album is the fastest album to go to number
one on Apple Music for twenty twenty five. Right, this
album give Me a Hug is a song that everybody's
talking about because first of all, they like the switch up,
they like the Aaron Hall I Miss You sample that's
(23:37):
on there. But here is what he had to say,
of course, when he references Kendrick, all right, so everybody
was waiting to see is he gonna address Kendrick, But
you know, he just wants to be here to get
the party licked, which he also said. He also references
Joe Button not by name, but by bigging up Melissa Ford,
(23:58):
What did you think of the album so far? And
I know we're going to talk about this in New
Music Friday as well.
Speaker 4 (24:03):
I mean, personally, I think it's a snooze fest, but
I will say I mean, one, I'm team Kendrick, so
I don't know if that's a little biased. But two,
I was also never into the R and B Drake.
I always like Drake for the rap, So personally, for me,
this album's not for me.
Speaker 1 (24:17):
What do you think.
Speaker 2 (24:19):
I personally have liked R and B Drake Maybe because
I'm a woman and this album is for the ladies.
Speaker 3 (24:24):
I think it's long.
Speaker 2 (24:25):
Twenty one songs is a lot, and so I think
if they would have did like a shorter album and
just put the best songs on there, people would have
liked it more.
Speaker 4 (24:32):
I agree Souse.
Speaker 2 (24:33):
I see a lot of criticism of it, but there's
some songs on here that I do like from what
I prayed so far, and it did just come out
last night and it's over an hour long, so there's
no way that people can unless that's all they've been
doing is listening to it now stop really judge it
as well as they would you know, I can't take
it seriously until people kind of live with it, because
some songs do tend to grow on you. So you know,
(24:56):
that's all I have to say about that. And I
do like Party next Door also, But a lot of
people feel he got overshadowed on this project too, y Dre.
All right, Well, we'll talk more about that when we
come back, because we do have a new music segment
for a new Music Friday. This is all everybody's talking
about this other new things out today. Offset put something
out today where it looks like he's taking shots at CARTI.
Speaker 4 (25:16):
It doesn't look like that, is.
Speaker 3 (25:19):
Okay, all right, it's way up with it's.
Speaker 6 (25:21):
Relationship for career advice. Angela's dropping facts.
Speaker 1 (25:24):
You should know. This is ask ye what's up?
Speaker 3 (25:27):
His way up with Angela?
Speaker 8 (25:29):
Yee?
Speaker 2 (25:29):
Happy Valentine's Day. It's time for ask yee. Eight hundred
two ninety two fifty one fifty is a number. Any
question you have, We're here to help you out. And
I got JJ on the line.
Speaker 3 (25:38):
What's up?
Speaker 2 (25:38):
JJ, Hey, what's going on? And what's up? What's your
question for?
Speaker 3 (25:42):
Ask ye?
Speaker 1 (25:43):
All right?
Speaker 11 (25:43):
So it being Valentine's today, I'm a little teetering between
being still a good boyfriend or kind of being petty.
So last night, me and my girlfriend we had dinner
at home, you know, like she cooked and all that.
So she wanted me to you know, clean the dishes,
stuff the tray, kind of clean everything up afterwards. I did,
but apparently it wasn't good enough, and she was just
(26:06):
like starting arguments for nothing because like, like I don't
know if you wanted to be like detail the kitchen,
think after I wash the dishes or something. But it
wasn't good enough, right, So that we went to bed angry.
This morning, we both went to work, try to like
smooth things out, try to you know, text her loving
message and all that, not na that she hasn't replied,
hasn't done anything. So now I'm just getting more upset.
(26:28):
So I'm like, I don't know if I just just
cancel our plants tonight. If he wants to be this
petty about some dishes.
Speaker 2 (26:33):
It feels like when people get mad like that about
dishes or something small, that feels like not a big deal.
There's probably some other things that's wrong and that's been
bothering her.
Speaker 3 (26:43):
Have there been other things going on?
Speaker 1 (26:47):
Not really not lately.
Speaker 11 (26:48):
Like before, We've had friction, you know, like with just
other girls, sweat room and stuff like that, but nothing's.
Speaker 8 (26:53):
Happened in a while.
Speaker 1 (26:54):
You know, I've been trying to be a good dude.
Speaker 11 (26:57):
And then you know she does this. So I'm just like, man,
like watch it.
Speaker 1 (27:00):
You know, if I even still doing the.
Speaker 3 (27:01):
Night for her?
Speaker 2 (27:02):
Of course you should, because I think this could be
a make or break. Imagine being petty and canceling Valentine's
Day plans because she didn't respond to your text because
she's still mad, and then you just texted her I
love you.
Speaker 3 (27:13):
You didn't address that there was an issue right now?
Speaker 11 (27:16):
Yeah, I mean I was saying, you know, I love you,
but can we just get passed last night? You know,
stuff like that, but she just has ignored it and
it's been like hours.
Speaker 7 (27:24):
Right.
Speaker 2 (27:25):
What the problem here is sometimes communication. It feels like
her way of coping with being mad is just not communicating.
And I'm sure when she sees you in person, that's
when you guys would have that conversation. I know, sometimes
when I'm mad, I don't feel like talking right away,
But that's not really a great way to handle things,
and a great way to handle things is to also
(27:45):
not cancel. You can't cancel plans as a way of
responding to that, because now you guys are just going
to be like, who can out petty.
Speaker 3 (27:51):
The next person?
Speaker 1 (27:52):
Right true?
Speaker 2 (27:53):
Let her know, Like, I know we've had an argument
last night. I know there's some other things. Probably that
is what was it to boil over. I don't want
us to be in an argument, especially not today. I
for sure I want to talk about this. I want
us to be able to express to each other. You know,
sometimes it's just breaking the ice. Definitely, don't cancel the
plans though, because I can't imagine that helping the situation
(28:15):
any Okay, and good luck with that. And you know
you was the mother girls was flirting with you, but
you was flirting back. See that laugh tells me everything
I need to know. All right, Well, that was asking
me eight hundred fifty fifty. In case you couldn't get through,
you could always leave a message. We'll answer that question
(28:38):
that way and when we come back. How about right now,
you guys call in. It is Valentine's Day and this
is like a love line. Call in and express your
love and declare your love for your significant other all right.
Eight hundred two ninety two fifty one fifty. What a
great Valentine's Day gift to hear your person on the
air shouting you out and telling you how much they
(29:00):
love you and telling the world eight hundred two ninety
two fifty one fifty call us up, and.
Speaker 1 (29:04):
No beg who about to do this?
Speaker 10 (29:06):
One of the new roles to famous women in radiodiomen.
Speaker 1 (29:09):
We're talking about Angela.
Speaker 5 (29:10):
Ye.
Speaker 1 (29:10):
You're way up with Angela Yee. Please believe that what's up?
Speaker 2 (29:14):
It's way up with Angela Yee. Now, y'all know, I'm
out here in San Francisco. It's all star weekend. But
Valentine's Day is still a special day for those people
who celebrated. And so I'm watching everybody on social media
posting all their gifts, posting flowers all over the bedroom floor.
We found out the other day that fake rose pedals
are the way to go. TK Kirklan found out. So
(29:35):
I feel like he's going to be doing that from
now on. But for you guys who want to declare
your love today for the whole world to hear, call
us up. Eight hundred two nine two fifty one fifty Reggie,
who do you love forever?
Speaker 5 (29:48):
Yes? I want to tell my girl, my well, my wife,
my baby mother of lovely years, almost twelve years.
Speaker 1 (29:54):
I love her.
Speaker 5 (29:55):
Tell her that I appreciate everything you do with me,
the kids, with everything, just just us. I just want
to throw out lover her man man say her name
Jarra Jared fakes to be Zak.
Speaker 3 (30:09):
I know that's right.
Speaker 2 (30:10):
My wife, my baby mother, my best friend, my girl.
Speaker 5 (30:14):

on Valentine's Day?

Speaker 11 (30:24):
Her name is Felicia Carolina, and I just let her know.
Speaker 8 (30:30):
I know we've been trying this for a long time,
but it's this time we're going to get it right.
Speaker 2 (30:34):
Uh oh, Lane, what was happening with Felicia?
Speaker 1 (30:37):
Man?
Speaker 8 (30:38):
So we've been trying to do this for like a
year and a half and it's just been communication.
Speaker 11 (30:43):
Barriers and both of us just dealing with you know, past.
Speaker 8 (30:47):
But you're trying to get it right this time.
Speaker 2 (30:50):
All right, let's get that clean slate. Let's start it
over right right.
Speaker 8 (30:54):
