you know, just well versed and well rounded. Talking about travel, yes,
because that's important too, So we'll get into all of
the things. But today we are going to have the

into all of that. But let's start the show with
some love and some positivity. Lindsay, since you're a special guest,

Colin's mom and dad. They really helped me out with
my three year old. I can't believe she's three. We
moved around a lot, we have a production company. We
run around and try to Like we just got back
from Miami. They watched her all week. So I just
appreciate all the grandparents, especially this Black History Month, all
(02:29):
the black grandparents, because you know how much they impact
our lives and how well, yeah, the village really helps us.
So those are the people, my parents, Susan and Gary Grangier,
Iris Polar, Thank you so much.
Speaker 4 (02:39):
Do you ever get jealous when she don't want to
leave her grandparents?
Speaker 5 (02:42):
Like, oh very so we were like, we're coming back
from Miami. She was like, no, stay here, stay here.
Speaker 1 (02:47):
I'm like, do you want to go home? Like we
need to go home.
Speaker 4 (02:49):
But it feels good because you know, at least she's
like very happy, content, well taken care of.
Speaker 1 (02:55):
Right. We have a ton of people to tap into
and it's a big deal.
Speaker 5 (02:57):
Being a mom was unexpected from me and it just
is still always unexpected.
Speaker 3 (03:01):
But worlds of Travel, that's the show.
Speaker 4 (03:03):
Also, thank you for producers and fund and do everything
yourself for so.
Speaker 1 (03:08):
Yes, and she comes along with us.
Speaker 5 (03:09):
We bring our toddler around the world, and we really
just want to shine a light on that fact that
people of color are all around the world, and so
that's important too, to make sure that we are representing
what exists around this world.
Speaker 4 (03:20):
All right, Well, who do you guys want to spread
some love to? Who do you want to shine a
light on? Eight hundred and two ninety two fifty one
fifty Rodney, Who do you want to shine a light on?
Speaker 7 (03:29):
I want to shinn the light on my girl friend today.
Speaker 3 (03:31):
Oh girl friend.
Speaker 7 (03:32):
Okay, we got three girls together and hopefully six weeks
pregnant right now, hopefully wow wow?
Speaker 4 (03:39):
Or our girls together, Okay, another girl?
Speaker 3 (03:46):
What's her name? You didn't even say her name?
Speaker 2 (03:48):
Her name is Jamie?
Speaker 3 (03:50):
All right, girl, dad Rodney, we love it.
Speaker 8 (03:52):

Speaker 3 (04:09):
Know what I'm saying.
Speaker 4 (04:10):
Alright, Okay, okay, all right, Rodney, Well, thank you for calling.
That was Shina Light eight hundred and two nine two
fifty one fifty. In case you couldn't get through, you
could leave a message in China Light that way. And
Tella h is here and Lindsay Grangers here. This is
a perfect panel to discuss Kanye because tell it's from Chicago, Lindsay,
(04:30):
I know you have a lot of things to say
about Kanye's latest uh viral activities.
Speaker 1 (04:36):
The latest go out of the list of this week.
Speaker 3 (04:38):
All Right, it's way up.
Speaker 2 (04:39):
They says in the rooms from industry shade to all.
Speaker 4 (04:44):
Of gossip out sending Angela's speeling that yet it's way
up with Angela.
Speaker 2 (04:49):
Yea.
Speaker 4 (04:49):
I'm here with my girl Tella H and journalist producer
Lindsay Grangers here too. Hey, uh, let's get into this yet, man.
First of all, Kanye West. Yes, up until about let's see,
maybe four hours ago, oh, no, one hour ago, twenty
eight minutes ago, twenty one minutes, he's been tweeting on
(05:09):
a NonStop rant on x on Elon Musk Twitter, Twitter,
which he pointsed out to.
Speaker 1 (05:14):
Take me on how much. He tweeted, I thought I
saw everything.
Speaker 4 (05:17):
No, it's still going so some of the things that
he said, and I know this is awful that we're
paying attention to this. But he talked about his support
for Puff. He said, my support of Puff is completely selfish.
I need to find whoever been trying to out black moguls.
And he goes on to if you look on his page,
he's also selling his Sean John collaboration on Yeezy. Not
(05:40):
just that, but he's also doing the White Lives Matter shirts.
Speaker 3 (05:42):
Again.
Speaker 5 (05:43):
Wow, we won't can't even out of it. You said,
you said it right though, like you don't even want
to talk about it.
Speaker 4 (05:50):
But because I know that's what he wants, because his
main thing is that it's like I want everybody to
know who I am. Then he goes on to say,
f Virgil, he said that four hours a go. And
then he said this N word that worked for me,
said he was uncomfortable with my wife's grammy look fired
and blocked. It's more people looking for work than there
are people giving work. He goes on to say that
(06:11):
he's going to normalize talking about Hitler. The way they
talk about killing nwords has been normalized, I don't understand
the and then he said Hitler was so fresh. Call
me Yateolf Hitler and your b still wants to.
Speaker 6 (06:24):
F Wow, Somebody give him his medicine.
Speaker 4 (06:28):
Look, Chella, aren't you from Chicago? And I know you
said it's Kanye forever for you?
Speaker 6 (06:32):
But I mean, I love Kanye because it is what
it is.
Speaker 11 (06:35):
But he is going to look who found that little wheelchair? Like,
oh yeah, Kanye tweaking. Somebody tell Kanye you tweaking. I
don't know what's going on, but get us together.
Speaker 3 (06:46):
The wheelchair one.
Speaker 4 (06:47):
He says that he turned down pictures for three make
a Wish kids in wheelchairs.
Speaker 6 (06:52):
Yeah, I think he just really, I don't know.
Speaker 11 (06:55):
It's like you got all attention already, Like what more
do you need at this point?
Speaker 6 (06:59):
You are who you are. But you know again, I
ain't gonna go too hard.
Speaker 11 (07:02):
On him because he is from Chicago and you know
how I am about my Chicagoans.
Speaker 4 (07:06):
Yeah, I'm not going to say anything else about that.
What do you think about this, Lindsay, I mean, he
said he's not bipolar. According to him, he said his
new girl, Bianca, brought him to the doctor and.
Speaker 5 (07:15):
He's autistic and he's autistic instead, so he just diagnosed
in hisself. But I think, like, obviously the first and
most important point is that if he has mental health issues,
they need to be addressed.
Speaker 1 (07:25):
But mental health issues don't make you.
Speaker 5 (07:27):
Say things like slavery is a choice, and like generally,
you know, we always conflate those two things, and it
bothers me so much because one thing does not lead
to the next, right, and I just think that somebody
needs to reel him in. It's unfortunate that people always
are like, I don't know who's around him that's not
There's no one that's like, Okay, this is like way
too far. I understand going against the system or whatever
(07:49):
he thinks he's doing, but the way he's going about it,
the things he's saying, the boats he's rocking, it's like
totally out of bounds.
Speaker 4 (07:56):
He said, I have Demion over my wife. This ain't
no woke feminist issues with a billionaire. Why would she
listen to any of you dumb broke bees people say
the very carpet Look, what was her decision? Yes, I
don't make her do nothing she doesn't want to do,
but she definitely Yeah.
Speaker 1 (08:09):
You saw the memes like are you like link twice
if you need you need something?
Speaker 4 (08:14):
And I know her family is like, we don't want
to talk about it, like her family because imagine how
her family feels watching all this, like oh my god.
All right, well that is your ut when we come back,
and we'll keep on updating you because he's still tweeting
as we speak. We have about last night where we
discussed what we did last night. I know you were
out and about Lindsay. I was and Chella and I
were together. Somebody left a card on my door, like
(08:36):
a business card, and it was actually a police detective.
Speaker 3 (08:40):
But we'll talk about that.
Speaker 2 (08:41):
It's way up, n So about last night. Yes, I
went down.
Speaker 4 (08:51):
It's way up and handling you. I'm here with Chella
h right and Lindsay Granger.
Speaker 3 (08:55):
Hey that last night.
Speaker 4 (08:56):
By the way, we used to have a different song there,
but it was something else, you know, because automatically when
you think last night last night, I couldn't even but
we have to change it.
Speaker 1 (09:05):
I like this one. It's very dramatic.
Speaker 3 (09:08):
So, Lidie, what did you do last night?
Speaker 1 (09:10):
Well, my last night wasn't like that song. It was
more work.
Speaker 5 (09:14):
I went to a festival a market called Real Screen,
so if you're an unscripted TV it's one of the
biggest ones in the US. And we screened season two
of our World of Travel series, which is exciting because
so yeah, everybody can check it out worldotraveltv dot com
and we'll post where it will be for season two,
our distributors and everything.
Speaker 1 (09:32):
But who I did meet is Don Porter.
Speaker 5 (09:35):
She was awarded one of the awards from the event
and as like a trailblazer.
Speaker 4 (09:41):
Oh yeah, she directed that Luther Vanjows never two months,
never too much documentary, right.
Speaker 5 (09:45):
I know you talked to her, and I think that
her story is awesome about how she went from a
lawyer to saying I want to produce and like blaze
her weight into production.
Speaker 1 (09:53):
She was an esteemed like successful lawyer just like no.
Speaker 3 (09:56):
I don't want to do this anymore.
Speaker 4 (09:57):
Yeah, and she'd be joining us later today. I love
that for us. Well, Tella, and I'm gonna show you
this just so you can see.
Speaker 3 (10:05):
So there was there was.
Speaker 4 (10:07):
A card left on the door, so please call me,
and it's a detective investigator. Now, if you got this
card on your door, Lindy, what would you do? I
think it was an emergency, would you call.
Speaker 1 (10:18):
I'm frantic I would think it was an emergency. Am
I under arrest?
Speaker 11 (10:22):
Tilla?
Speaker 3 (10:23):
What was your advice?
Speaker 11 (10:24):
I just was like geez. She was like, oh, let
me call. I'm like, hold on, let me call my lawyer.
Let's get a lawyer before we started calling these people.
But you don't never want to just call detectives and
talk to police for yourself. So I was taught that
anything got to do with police, you get a lawyer.
Speaker 6 (10:40):
You don't.
Speaker 3 (10:40):
Got me nervous. She was say, hold on, Angela, hold on.
Speaker 4 (10:43):
We got to think about this. I was like, I
didn't do anything, I know, but it's just like, but
you know that any reason that I would have just
called right away, I did end up calling. I did
because I know, like I've had this card put on
my door before, and it's because something happened on the
block and they wanted to see if there was camera footage.
So I figured it was something like that. They were like, oh,
this that's what happened previously. They were like, something happened.
(11:05):
We want to see if you have we see you
have cameras, you know, can we see the footage? So
that's what I figured it was, but they said somebody
used my address for something and they wanted to know.
Speaker 3 (11:15):
I guess this. I don't know. It wasn't nothing that
was a big deal.
Speaker 5 (11:18):
Well, I thought the story was about to go to
The detective was trying to holler at one of you.
Speaker 3 (11:22):
No no, no no.
Speaker 4 (11:22):
I missed that, but he gently was like are you Angela?
You from the radio right, And I was like yes.
He was like, I am so sorry to bother you.
So I was like who. But I wasn't a little nervous.
Tell I got me shook.
Speaker 6 (11:33):
I mean, you just never know.
Speaker 4 (11:34):
I saw that that series, The Madness. I was like,
oh man, I hope they're not about to frame me
for nothing.
Speaker 3 (11:39):
Crazy.
Speaker 4 (11:40):
All right, well that is about last night when we

girl Cella h that's right. She has no judgment ever.
And my girl Lindsay Grangers. He's a journalist, so she's
used to not being biased.

in your head, But in my head it's all there.

I mean, ain't that the words? But you don't want
him back, though, do you?
Speaker 7 (13:23):
Girl?
Speaker 1 (13:24):
I'm living my life, so you don't even want him.
Speaker 7 (13:27):
I just want the money. I just want the life insurance.
Speaker 11 (13:30):
Oh my gosh, Well maybe you can still get the
life insurance if you just keep paying it right the
policy on him.
Speaker 8 (13:36):
Yeah, I know it sounds bad.
Speaker 1 (13:38):
I want to tell you something.
Speaker 7 (13:40):

Speaker 2 (13:41):
Proud of you.
Speaker 3 (13:42):

Speaker 2 (14:17):
What's up? Yeah?
Speaker 3 (14:18):
You're doing what's good? What's good? You want to tell
me telling and Lindsay Granger a secret.
Speaker 7 (14:23):
Yeah, I'll be smoking crack on the weekend.
Speaker 1 (14:25):
Okay, you can scale back to like, you know, some marijuana.
I don't know.
Speaker 3 (14:29):
Yeah, maybe you want to.
Speaker 7 (14:31):
I just I just always smoke crag.
Speaker 4 (14:33):
No, you have the opportunity, but listen, and we don't judge, sir.
Speaker 3 (14:38):
So I don't want to take care yourself.
Speaker 5 (14:40):
You just you know, just try to take one day
at a time and maybe try something different a different day.
Speaker 3 (14:44):
And then you think you could stop if you wanted.
Speaker 7 (14:47):
To, if I wanted to do on the weekend. So
it's not like I'm a crackhead. I'm just a crack addict.
Speaker 5 (14:54):
Well, I want you to try a variety of things,
like put it on in the mix, like try a
little meditation, try some weed, try a couple of different
things every weekend.
Speaker 1 (15:02):
And then.
Speaker 4 (15:04):
Marijuana is legal now, so couldn't that be something that
you could try this weekend.
Speaker 2 (15:09):
No, I won't smoke no.
Speaker 7 (15:11):
Weed because it's gonna be on my fistum and if
I smoke the weed, it's gonna be in my fistim.
Speaker 9 (15:14):
If they do it I'm a feel.
Speaker 4 (15:17):
Good luck sir, and just know that people do still
die every year from using drugs like crack, every single year,
so just be careful.
Speaker 3 (15:24):
I know doing COVID.
Speaker 2 (15:25):
I know that.
Speaker 3 (15:26):
All right, Thank you. Wow, that was a hard judgment
for him.
Speaker 5 (15:30):
I was trying to you were like, oh, no, what's
doing on here?
Speaker 1 (15:35):
I always have too many words? I was like, man,
I hope you could stop.
Speaker 4 (15:39):
All right, Well that is tell us a secret. Thanks

Speaker 2 (15:52):
Oh, she's about to blow the lid ab off this five.
Let's get it. Angela's feeling that yea tea, Come and
get your tea.
Speaker 3 (15:58):
It's way up at Angela.
Speaker 4 (15:59):
Yeah, I'm here with my girl Tella a job and
my girl Lindsey Granger, journalist.
Speaker 8 (16:06):
I want a song.
Speaker 3 (16:07):
Yeah, she needed a job. We're supposed to get her job.
Speaker 4 (16:10):
Let's get into this e t first of all, as
y'all getting ready for Super Bowl Sunday.
Speaker 5 (16:14):
Who y'all got, oh Eagles all day I went to
the temple. Oh yeah, you got.
Speaker 4 (16:22):
Okay, I'm definitely going for the Eagles too, So I'm
at you.
Speaker 1 (16:28):
I really want to answer here.
Speaker 4 (16:29):
Well, the other thing people are of course looking forward
to is the super Bowl halftime show with Kenjack to
see what is about to happen.
Speaker 3 (16:35):
Well, Kenjick did do a couple of interviews.
Speaker 4 (16:37):
Now, he did talk to Apple Music shout to my
girl in the Desko, and here's.
Speaker 3 (16:41):
What was said.
Speaker 13 (16:42):
I think from day one was always to keep the
nature of it as a sport. I love when when
artists grit their teeth, like I still watch battle raps.
This has always been the core definition of who I am,
and I don't think it was a thing for this year.
It was always just a continuum. Well will say about
this year it was more from a where I think
a lot of people was putting raped to the back
(17:03):
and you didn't see that grit, you didn't see that
bite anymore. So I always took that into consideration and
going into any talking about music.
Speaker 3 (17:10):
See he didn't mention Jake by name, but we know,
you know he didn't need to.
Speaker 1 (17:14):
Yeah, I don't think he was doing it for sport.
Speaker 5 (17:16):
I think once we started adding lives and pedophilia and
all the other stuff in there, that's when it, you
know what I mean, stop being sports.
Speaker 4 (17:22):
Yeah yeah, Well, he also was in his car talking
to Timothy's chalameage is how you say his name, timoth
Ay Charalamagne, Timothy Timothy because it has a little accent,
but Timothy Chalamagne. And he talked about his whole writing
process and how he does experiment a lot.
Speaker 3 (17:39):
Here's what else he had to say.
Speaker 2 (17:41):
I have to keep the paying more. You know, it's
not film sanity, which.
Speaker 10 (17:45):
Also has given me the opportunity to learn myself, you know,
find out about him because when.
Speaker 1 (17:50):
We were writing, man, you gotta sit and don't look
at emotions and be vulnerable about me.
Speaker 10 (17:54):
He said, a lot of these records are writing man's
right stuff I would never expressed or even known about
myself if for instrumental.
Speaker 3 (18:01):
Beyond all right, it's nice, this is nice.
Speaker 5 (18:05):
You know they have the same stylists. A bit of
information I learned online. Wow, I usually checked my sources
like three times. But that's just what this on.
Speaker 3 (18:11):
So maybe that's where the connection came in.
Speaker 1 (18:13):
Yuse, I thought it was kind of random, but it's cute.
Speaker 4 (18:16):
Somebody posted a content my guy seth I hosted and
Kenjack was the headliner in twenty eleven.
Speaker 6 (18:22):
Yeah, I saw that.
Speaker 4 (18:23):
I's not crazy. I remember that too. It was, you know,
because Kenjack isn't the Kenjack key is today. He just
had the mixtapes out, so but it was a very
impactful night. I think that's probably the first time I
met him, all right, getting ready for that. Though super
Bowl is gonna be lit halftime shot. I feel like
this might be the most anticipated talked about controversy behind
the scenes, like is this happening?
Speaker 3 (18:44):
Is he going to do this? Is he not that
we've had?
Speaker 1 (18:47):
Right? Yeah, I think this.
Speaker 5 (18:48):
People tell him not to perform, not like us I said,
too Short said that.
Speaker 1 (18:51):
Too Short said it.
Speaker 5 (18:51):
But also there's Drake's lawyers that are like, listen, we
could sue Fox also, and I don't know Fox wants
that smoke all right.
Speaker 4 (18:58):
And Marcus Jordan has broken his silence after his DUI arrest,
and he said, I appreciate everyone reaching out. I'm focusing
on Trophy Room store right now and won't be making
any comments on recent media stories in my personal life.
I sincerely appreciate your concerns and thank you for your
kind understanding. Oh, Marcus Jordan, I've been to his Trophy
Room store in Orlando. I went to the grand opening
(19:20):
for that. I really like Marcus Jordan. He's such a
nice guy. This is why all of this drama is
wild to me to see.
Speaker 5 (19:27):
I don't know anything about him, but I just feel
like if I was Michael Jordan, I'll be like, Bruh,
you had this life handed to you on a platter, and.
Speaker 1 (19:34):
This is what you're choosing to do.
Speaker 4 (19:36):
Sometimes it makes life harder for people too. Yeah, I
do because got pressure. All right, Well, that is your
ut when we come back. We have under the radar stories,
stories that are flying under the radar, but you need
to know about him.
Speaker 2 (19:46):
It's way up news in the news that relates to you.
These stories are flying under the radar.
Speaker 4 (19:53):
It's way up with Angela yee. I'm here with my girl,
Tella eight. That's why am I girl. Lindsay Granger, he
who is also a journalist. Let's get into some of
these under the radar stories. Now, I told you this
was turning, and you didn't quite believe me.
Speaker 5 (20:06):
I had to go on ecstasy myself on ecstasy on
x TC. Okay, it's Friday. I was like, girl, it
ain't that hurious Friday.
Speaker 1 (20:16):
Yo?
Speaker 4 (20:18):
All right, well, Donald Trump posted, I will be signing
an executive order next week ending the ridiculous Biden push
for paper straws which don't work, back to plastic. And
this is actually trending, and I see this being celebrated,
like this is a huge accomplishment. Here is Donald Trump.
(20:39):
I guess he's always hated these paper straws. Here's what
he said.
Speaker 14 (20:43):
Has anybody ever tried those paper straws?
Speaker 2 (20:45):
That not working?
Speaker 12 (20:46):
Too?
Speaker 2 (20:47):
So they want to band straws.
Speaker 1 (20:48):
I said, oh really, what about the carton?
Speaker 2 (20:50):
What about the plate?
Speaker 1 (20:51):
What about the knives and.
Speaker 10 (20:52):
The spoons and a plastic Oh they're okay, but the straws,
we got to ban it.
Speaker 2 (20:56):
Just integrate says, you drink.
Speaker 1 (20:58):
It all right?
Speaker 4 (20:59):
And you know, I did a little deep dive just
to kind of learn some more about these plastic straws.
And the problem is that Americans use millions of plastic
straws every day and they're not recyclable, so it's a
one use plastic. They end up in landfills, incinerators, they
get in the streets, parks both sides closed the gutters,
and they can sticken and kill sea birds, fish, sea turtles, dolphins,
other animals, and they also become microplastics that are tiny
(21:23):
particles that can infiltrate the body of all living things,
including us. So that's why for the environment it was
considered horrible.
Speaker 3 (21:32):
But it'll be back.
Speaker 5 (21:34):
I mean, I'm definitely a fan of taking care of
our environment in the world. So I don't know why
it's called like a liberal agenda to get rid of
plastic straws. Biden did implement it in twenty twenty four,
but you know, them taking it away. Let's be honest,
paper straws was not the best answer. It's like fire
and water, it don't really mix when you're eating your food.
But I think there's probably another alternative to going back
(21:56):
to plastic, which we know is killing all the animals
in the sea and you know all the different things
that are going wrong.
Speaker 3 (22:01):
So yeah, and they banned them.
Speaker 4 (22:03):
California was the first state to do a plastic straw band,
followed by Seattle, you know, New York City, DC, and
then in other countries too. They also do have a
single use plastics band because it's harmful to the environment.
So that's the reason it's not like it's liberal.
Speaker 1 (22:20):
I think it's like inconvenience.
Speaker 5 (22:22):
People get mad over inconvenience, but like at some point
we got to care about the generations after us.
Speaker 3 (22:26):
A minor inconvenience.
Speaker 1 (22:28):
You just save the world.
Speaker 11 (22:29):
Yeah, I guess the bigger picture is to save the world.
But I don't like paper straws.
Speaker 3 (22:34):
It's like I could use no straw Like when I.
Speaker 11 (22:36):
Going, y'all want to put your mouth on just any
restaurant glass neither.
Speaker 4 (22:39):
Sometimes in plastic straws be just sitting out too with
no paper over it.
Speaker 6 (22:43):
Yeah, And I.
Speaker 11 (22:44):
Hate going to a place where they handed to you
what they hand like, right, Is you cool when I
do that?
Speaker 3 (22:50):
All right?
Speaker 4 (22:50):
And Disney Plus just lost seven hundred thousand subscribers, but
they are still going to raise their prices.
Speaker 3 (22:56):
So there's one.
Speaker 4 (22:58):
Hundred and twenty four point six million users, that's down
from one hundred and twenty five point three And they're
gonna actually do Disney Plus with ads from seven ninety
nine to nine ninety nine, the ad free tier went
up from fifteen ninety nine went up to fifteen ninety
nine from thirteen ninety nine.
Speaker 5 (23:14):
So yeah, I mean us spending frivolously has to match
the economy. Nobody's gonna keep paying more. What's gonna happen
to people gonna start canceling more?
Speaker 3 (23:21):
Like nobody came like they.
Speaker 1 (23:23):
Have usually money right, Like it's just gonna keep going.
Speaker 4 (23:26):
So I saw people complaining now as being getting things
released from customs is costing twenty five dollars, like I
saw a few different people on TikTok saying that if
they want to get their package, it's now an additional
twenty five.
Speaker 3 (23:38):
But that is you're under the radar.
Speaker 4 (23:39):
We do have the director and producer from the Luther
Vanjos documentary Never Too Much, joining us, as well as
one of the stars who was also Luther's best friend
growing up since they were teenagers. Of Fonzie Thornton's going
to be joining us. It's way up, just like the.
Speaker 7 (23:53):
Tout like they and jale Jane like they and Jeli Jee.
Speaker 2 (23:56):
Man, she's spilling it all. This is yaky.
Speaker 3 (24:02):
It's way up.
Speaker 4 (24:02):
At Angela yee and I'm here at my girl Cella
h that's right. And Lindsay Granger, Hey, hey, let's get
into this et Valentine's Day is coming up, and I
saw the baby was shooting his shot at Young Miami.
He says, somebody find out if Young Miami got a
Valentine for next week, and he said, if she do,
I wonder if the m word know how to fight,
(24:24):
and she responded, if you want me, you know where
to find me.
Speaker 5 (24:27):
Oh, she was dating somebody new because she was on
vacation a couple of weeks ago.
Speaker 3 (24:31):
I don't know.
Speaker 4 (24:31):
I also listen, I might be a conspiracy theorist, but
I also kind of feel like they just have music
coming out, because you know, this gets people talking and
then maybe they worked on something together and then maybe
it's coming out Valentine's say, But I don't know.
Speaker 3 (24:44):
I'm just saying I don't know.
Speaker 1 (24:44):
People be shooting.
Speaker 5 (24:45):
I mean, you see with Yogatti and Angela Simmons, like
shooting your shot is a real thing, even if it.
Speaker 3 (24:50):
Happens years down the line. Yes, yes, this could be a.
Speaker 1 (24:53):
Thing, all right.
Speaker 2 (24:55):
I don't know.
Speaker 4 (24:55):
I guess I got to be more romantic, you know
what I'm saying, and think that this is like because
in my head I was like, oh, they must got
some music coming out together.
Speaker 1 (25:02):
I mean, you're like, no chance, this is this is real.
Speaker 3 (25:05):
All right now?
Speaker 4 (25:05):
Ben Simmons and Nets are going to be buying out
his contract.
Speaker 3 (25:09):
You know, I'm a Brooklyn Nets fan.
Speaker 4 (25:11):
He missed two hundred and seven out of a possible
two hundred and ninety seven games.
Speaker 2 (25:15):
Wow.
Speaker 3 (25:15):
Of course it's two plus years.
Speaker 4 (25:17):
In Brooklyn and they said he is finalizing a buy
out with the team today. According to the Post Brian Lewis,
he was ruled out of their game against the Heat
earlier in the morning and listed as being away from
the team. People were very upset. I can't lie. Like
a couple of times I saw him play at the games,
I was like, just shoot, please shoot, like do something,
because it looked like he didn't want to do things
(25:37):
Like I don't know what the nerves are about. I
don't know if any everybody was witnessing that, but we'll see.
They're saying that people are. Of course, the Cavaliers and
the Clippers are going to be meeting with him today,
according to ESPN, and they also said that the Rockets
are expected to be interested in him.
Speaker 5 (25:53):
I don't know that much about sports, but what's the
job set up where you can miss two, anything like
what type of job? I need to go do something
else of my life to tell me about it.
Speaker 6 (26:02):
Yeah, maybe he'll be better in Houston.
Speaker 4 (26:05):
Yeah maybe, But I feel like it's been an ongoing issue,
you know.
Speaker 3 (26:09):
So, but he's good enough that teams are still interested.
Speaker 1 (26:12):
Did that ruin the game for you when you were
there and he wasn't?
Speaker 4 (26:14):
I was getting irritated. Yeah, I was like, you are
you needed to shoot that? Why are you passing like?
It's like he's nervous.
Speaker 3 (26:20):
I don't know.
Speaker 4 (26:21):
All right, Rick Ross is saying that he wants to
do a BMF movie. Of course, you know him and
fifty cent have been having his back and forth yes
for years, but now it's over BMF. And here's what
Rick Ross has to say.
Speaker 9 (26:38):
I do want to do a BMF film because you've
been entertained by lack luster small budget series. Now it
was time to do a big budget film. This is
gonna be big.
Speaker 1 (26:50):
I can feel it.
Speaker 3 (26:52):
That's smart, you already know.
Speaker 4 (26:54):
I wonder how he feels about because little meat, you know,
as you can see, fifty Cent posted the text message
conversation that they had, So I'm wonder if now Rick,
because he said Epric Ross and those. I wonder if
that means Rick Ross ain't messing with Little Meats. But
you can't mess with his dad and I mess with
his son.
Speaker 6 (27:10):
Right, I wonder how does go go?
Speaker 5 (27:12):
I feel like Little Meats just wanted to act, and
now the dream is getting taken away.
Speaker 1 (27:15):
I don't know how many other movies that he's in,
but he's like.
Speaker 4 (27:18):
I feel like he can get more stuff now after
this if he really takes it seriously.
Speaker 5 (27:22):
Yeah, and hopefully Rick Ross, who started this drama, I
mean I started. He said he's just friends with Big Meach.
Puts him in the movie, even for a different role.
Speaker 6 (27:29):
Yeah, because he is a really good actor.
Speaker 4 (27:32):
Look at this, I this is hilarious because you know,
I just have my theory. Why did our producer Dan
just ran over and showed this? Okay, the baby posted
a song I'm a hoe too, and I guess him
and Young Miami do have a song coming out on
February fourteenth. They just I know it. I was like,
(27:52):
because they wouldn't publicly do that, That's what I'm saying.
That has it felt like a marketing situation, all right,
but that is your yut. When we come back it's
a new music Friday, and I guess we have that
snippet too.
Speaker 3 (28:02):
We might as well play it. It's way up everybody sens.
Speaker 2 (28:05):
Whether it's relationship or career advice. Angela's dropping facts.
Speaker 3 (28:10):
This is aske what's up? Its way? You put Angela? Yee,
I'm here with Lindsay Granger.
Speaker 4 (28:15):
Tella h Let's see if y'all cauld shock our girl
Lindsay again today? All right, we got anonymous, an anonymous
caller on the line, so you know it's serious.
Speaker 3 (28:24):
What's up, anonymous caller?
Speaker 7 (28:25):
What's up? I just need some advice. I've been cheating
on my girlfriend and stuff, and I know the truth
that you free, but it's just how can I tell
her this without hurting her? I already am, but without more?
Speaker 3 (28:38):
And so what is it that you want?
Speaker 11 (28:39):
Now?
Speaker 3 (28:40):
Are you trying to be faithful and stop cheating?
Speaker 9 (28:43):
Like?
Speaker 3 (28:43):
What's the goal here?
Speaker 7 (28:45):
I want to leave her for the girl I'm talking
to you now?
Speaker 5 (28:49):
Well, you know I would use the age old send
an email call me after you read this, Lesie, I'm.
Speaker 3 (28:55):
Just saying it's not joun it's not working.
Speaker 4 (29:00):
So you you want to leave your girlfriend and let
her know that you cheated, Yeah.
Speaker 7 (29:04):
And that I'm getting with the girl that I've cheated with.
Speaker 3 (29:07):
Do you need to tell her all that? What's apply
to us?
Speaker 7 (29:12):
It's her cousin.
Speaker 11 (29:13):
Okay, God, well I thought I was gonna say she's pregnant. Well,
normally I will say, don't tell her, but that's your cousin,
because her cousin tell on yourself. I don't care what's
going on, do not tell. But if you know you
want to be with her, then just keep it a hunted.
Speaker 6 (29:30):
You know what I'm saying.
Speaker 3 (29:31):
She don't want to be with her, She wants to
want to be with the other cousin.
Speaker 5 (29:34):
You're not gonna sit well, you're not gonna just have
a com peaceful Christmas with your cousin, with your ex.
Speaker 3 (29:39):
I feel like like the cousin should tell her.
Speaker 6 (29:42):
Yeah, I was finna say maybe she can tell her.
Speaker 11 (29:43):
But you know, if you still want to be her friend,
because do you have a certain level or respect for her,
they'll still be friends.
Speaker 7 (29:50):
Yeah, for sure, that your cousin.
Speaker 3 (29:52):
If you get married.
Speaker 4 (29:53):
Let me ask you this though, how did you like
so did you meet the cousin like from going to
family functions?
Speaker 3 (30:00):
How did this even start?
Speaker 7 (30:01):
Yeah, so we've been together for like four years and
it's like just going to family out and and all
that type of stuff. I met her and we ended
up clicking and then texting behind her back, and you
know that that went where it went.
Speaker 3 (30:15):
I don't know if I want to know all the details.
Speaker 6 (30:17):
So yeah, I don't think is fun.
Speaker 4 (30:19):
She's gonna get her feelings hurt no matter what. The
family probably won't like you for a long time if
they ever do.
Speaker 14 (30:24):
Right.
Speaker 5 (30:24):
Yeah, but if that's your person, then you got to
sort it out and respectfully though.
Speaker 3 (30:28):
But maybe that's that She might not even end up
with the cousin too.
Speaker 1 (30:31):
That's what I'm saying. If you're gonna do all this,
you need to end up with his cousin. You have to.
Speaker 11 (30:35):
And you never know what she was doing on the low,
So don't beat yourself up.
Speaker 5 (30:40):
Because now you won't say somebody else is cheating and
not telling us that they are.
Speaker 6 (30:43):
I'm just saying I feel like most people do.
Speaker 11 (30:45):
So in that case, if she got time to do something,
she probably doing something you never he phone.
Speaker 6 (30:51):
This is what I would do.
Speaker 11 (30:52):
Go through her phone, try to find something first, and
then flip it on her.
Speaker 6 (30:56):
That way, when you tell her you won't feel this bed, No,
don't do that.
Speaker 1 (30:59):
You got three different beats of advice.
Speaker 7 (31:01):
I'm gonna do that. She gotta have some type of
intuition thing going on here, so it's like she gotta.
Speaker 3 (31:06):
Know, look, take accountability.
Speaker 4 (31:08):
You cheated, you fell in love with somebody else, and
this relationship is over. And truthfully, if this was your person,
none of this would have happened. So clearly this woman
is not your person, but you are moving on with
a family member. So that's where it gets really messy.
Speaker 6 (31:23):
Yeah, it's.
Speaker 7 (31:26):
So much.
Speaker 3 (31:29):
I don't know how I feel.
Speaker 4 (31:31):
All right, Well that was ask you. You heard the
whole different panel. All right, Well, when we come back,
you know, we have the director, the producer, and one
of the stars of Lutha Vangross is never too much
documentary that is in theater is limited right now, but
we're going to talk to them.
Speaker 3 (31:45):
It's way up.
Speaker 2 (31:47):
It's gonnurn me.
Speaker 3 (31:48):
Up here, we go up.
Speaker 2 (31:50):
This is way up with Angela ye.
Speaker 3 (31:52):
What's up? It's way up in Angela yee.
Speaker 4 (31:54):
And this is really exciting for me because you know,
this is my genre, my type of music. Today we're
gonna be talking about Luther never too much this documentary,
don Porter, you directed this, Phronsie Thornton, you are a
close friend of Luther van jos Is from the age
of fourteen and also did music with him, and then
Leah and Smith a producer. Yeah, all right, perfect. First
(32:16):
of all, we don't have to say Luther van joss
It's just Luther.
Speaker 8 (32:18):
It's one of those one word people.
Speaker 4 (32:20):
Fanzie talked to us about young Luther and a young
Phronsie and your dreams and aspirations at that age.
Speaker 15 (32:28):
Well, that's what's the wonderful part about this story. I
met Luther his sister, a girl that I went to
church with. Her name is Danny Spencer, and she was
in high school and she's always said, this is this
guy that goes to tap high school with me named Luther.
He's a singer. He's a songwriter, he's got a group.
You need to know him myself. Why, she says, just something,
(32:48):
there's something.
Speaker 3 (32:49):
When you would click.
Speaker 15 (32:50):
So she gave him my phone number and I went
over and joined his first group, the Shades of Jade.
Speaker 9 (32:55):
I love it.
Speaker 8 (32:55):
She was like, he's a singer, song.
Speaker 16 (32:56):
He was sixteen singer songwriters, little adults yeah, oh yeah,
oh yeah, show what.
Speaker 2 (33:04):
You can do.
Speaker 15 (33:05):
He was always assembling singers and assembling musicians, and most
of us wound up being on ninety five percent of
this recordings. I have someone like ninety five percent of
the records, and I was always the vocal contractor. He
would call me and say, Fanzie called the singers were
doing a new album. But anyway, a young Luther was
somebody who had vision. He's the funniest person you ever
want to know. But when it was time to get
(33:25):
down to the music, he was serious, even at fifteen
years old.
Speaker 4 (33:28):
Right now, I am talking to the director, the producer,
and one of the stars of Luther Van Jows. Is
never too much documentary, Don and Leah. For you guys
putting this together and seeing all this old footage, I
imagine you had a ton of old footage. It had
to be really hard to figure out what are we
keeping and what are we taking out? Because it was
really fun to watch just to see like the actual
(33:51):
footage and the interviews and the performances, to see Mariah
Carey on stage. Yeah, and this love with Luther, I mean,
that was a phenomenal moment that I had never you know,
seen before. So what was that like going through that
footage and figuring out what are we keeping, what.
Speaker 6 (34:10):
Do we have to cut?
Speaker 8 (34:11):
It was a lot of fun. We had a lot
to go through.
Speaker 14 (34:13):
So the hardest thing for this movie is what you
just asked, is what to keep, what to put in?
Speaker 8 (34:18):
Everybody has their favorite Luther song. My mother was like,
I know you're going to put this in.
Speaker 14 (34:23):
You know, our composer is Robert Glasper and he's like,
I know you're going to put this in.
Speaker 8 (34:27):
And we didn't have his favorite song to He was like.
Speaker 14 (34:31):
We didn't have so amazing and we were like, you
know what.
Speaker 1 (34:39):
A big moment.
Speaker 14 (34:40):
But Lea was so stressed because we couldn't find change,
We couldn't find a place to put.
Speaker 8 (34:46):
His early music. And she was one hundred percent right.
Speaker 9 (34:50):
You know.
Speaker 1 (34:50):
I'd come in and she'd be like.
Speaker 8 (34:51):
I'm still looking for this change footage.
Speaker 16 (34:55):
It was important because I felt like that is for
my generation, you know, I feel like that that was
one of the first times we remember hearing him with
searching and glow of love. I mean, even now you
go out and those those songs are so so popular,
you know, So we really wanted to highlight that moment,
and we found that wonderful bite from Phonsie where he
talked about it, coupled with some archiro that Luther had,
and we were just lucky to also have some really
(35:16):
great interviews from from Luthor himself.
Speaker 1 (35:19):
You known from.
Speaker 3 (35:20):
That added so much.
Speaker 16 (35:21):
She said, you know, he wanted she wanted it to
be told in his voice, and so we made a
point of doing that all right.
Speaker 4 (35:26):
We had Don Pard, the director of Never Too Much
to Luther vanjos documentary, Leah Smithew's the producer, and Phonsie Thornton,
who's starring in the documentary and is also one of
Luther Vangels's longest and dearest friends.
Speaker 3 (35:38):
We have more with them when we come back.
Speaker 4 (35:40):
And of course I got to ask about this controversy
with Patti LaBelle It's way up.
Speaker 3 (35:45):
Yeah, yea, yea yeah, yee's with you all being waiting for.
Speaker 2 (35:50):
You, tapped in the way Up with Angela Yee, what's up?
Speaker 4 (35:53):
His way up with Angela Yee, And an amazing documentary
that all of us need to be watching, Luther van
joss is Never Too Much. We had the director, Don Porter,
the producer, Leah and Smith, and also one of the
Stars Bontie Thornton. Now, I do want to ask about
this because there was some controversy over the Patty LeBell
part and they said that she was not pleased with it,
(36:13):
like that she outed him.
Speaker 3 (36:15):
What did you guys think about that?
Speaker 14 (36:16):
In including that, I think it's always like people looking
for controversy. So I always felt like when I watched
that clip about Patty, I always felt like she had
no ill intent.
Speaker 8 (36:27):
She did love Luther, you know, and so we asked her.
Speaker 14 (36:30):
We wanted her to explain what happened, and we couldn't
quite get that across the finish line. And so I'm
sorry that she didn't get a chance to explain because
I know what deep love she had for him. So
you know, in the end, I think people say what
they say. I think most people can understand that, you know,
(36:51):
when you watch the clip and how it came out,
that there was no ill intent.
Speaker 4 (36:54):
I mean, the whole movie's a celebration, so I can't
see why anything would be in there that wasn't into
and it to be of.
Speaker 14 (37:01):
It's unfortunately part of his story that there was this
never ending question about his sexuality, and so that you
know what she said at that time is part of
that story, but I think the overall the whole idea
is does he actually get the right to say what
he wants about himself in person himself? And so, you know,
(37:24):
we definitely cut that scene so many times and asked
Phonsie for advice and the you know, family for advice,
and ultimately it was something Phonsie said that really became
the guiding north star, which is I'm gonna let him
have the last answer. And we had many examples of
him talking about how he wanted to keep himself private,
(37:45):
and ultimately, especially when somebody has passed, you know, I
wish to goodness gracious for so many reasons that he
was here, But one is like, wouldn't it be wonderful
to see Luther, to have Luther here seeing so many people,
you know, living in in the world that we live
in now, which is to some degree so much more open.
Diane Warwick said to me, she I asked her, you know,
(38:07):
if she wanted to talk about this, and she looked
at me and she says, do you know what none
ya means?
Speaker 3 (38:12):
No business?
Speaker 6 (38:14):
Yes, ma'am.
Speaker 8 (38:15):
The next question.
Speaker 4 (38:16):
Right now, I am talking to the director the producer
and one of the stars of Luther Van Jows is
never too much documentary, you know. And I do want
to say though, because part of the theme of this
movie is him looking for and never being completely happy.
And I'm sure there were a lot of different reasons
for that. So I do feel like it all kind
of ties in together. Like you said, if he was
(38:37):
here today, to see him being celebrated the way that
he is, but also to see how people it is
a different era Angel.
Speaker 15 (38:43):
The one thing too, is that this film is a
celebration of friendship. You know, he was a genius of
a person and he loved his family. He looked out
for his friends. He helped some people put their kids
through college. He'll help some people buy their homes and
stuff like that. So while people, you know, you need
to know there was so much more order this man
then more than that he had this great voice. He
was really and again, this is a man who grew
(39:04):
up in the southeast Bronx on Dawson Street.
Speaker 3 (39:07):
It's not even there anymore.
Speaker 4 (39:09):
Brox has changed a lot. Well listen, so how can
people see this? I know it's in theatres AMC Theatre
is limited right now. But then you also can see
it streaming on Max, streaming on Max and on own
Oprah Winter Network. Thank you so much for amazing work

your husband. And you're toddler it when are you not

it down so she's gonna be a toddler, so she's
like fifteen.
Speaker 4 (40:26):
And listen, you guys, make sure you watch season one
too because it'll show you like different places that you
can go ahead to travel. I show you had Greece
as one of the places.
Speaker 5 (40:35):
Yeah, and actually a little quick tip is go to
Greece in October. Everybody's not there. It's way cheaper, so
we do stuff like that, just tell you when to go,
where to go, how to bring your family, and then
also try to show you a little bit of the
history so you're not just going there like the annoying
American tourists. But when it's season two, Season two comes
out in September October we get a finalized date this month.
But if you yeah, we did get a season two,
(40:56):
so if you just go to World of Travel tv
dot com will update you there and then let you
know all the place is to watch it for season two.

want to say Sunday we will be at Cup since
you know, I got my little look of license now,
so we'll be watching the game at Cup. To anybody
who wants to come and join us, it's gonna be
very chill, very demure until you start screaming for your team.
Hopefully the Eagles win. That's what I'm hoping for, all right.
And of course you guys make sure you took out
that Luther van Jos never too much documentary. You can
(41:37):
watch the interview that I did today with Don Porter,
who was a director, with Leah and Smith who's the producer,
and Fonzie Thornton, who is one of Luther van Jos's
best friends from their teenage years. Amazing documentary, amazing interview,
and of course this is your show, so you have
the last word.
Speaker 7 (41:53):
I'm my best friend, boyfriend or husband, I guess whatever
they call themselves. We've been cool since middle school. And
she'd be telling me her problem music.
Speaker 12 (42:06):
And I just stood her like, hey, you don't like it,
So I'm thinking, Hi, Angela, how are you today? I
want to sign the light on my brother in law
and sister in law named Eddie and Zina. They was
raided one of the top twenty five that's food Tux
Black owned in New Jersey and I wanted to sign
the light on them today, I'm really proud of them.
(42:26):
Ed and Zina eat in the cave. Thank you so much.
Speaker 2 (42:30):
Going way out, turning out with Angela Yee
