Way Up with Angela yee. I'm excited to be here.
I was actually I'm here since yesterday, just kind of
handling some things. I was a keynote for this JP
Morgan Wealth Management event that they do. I learn a
lot when I do these events. Do you have a
revocable trust in I do not. I'm not authorized to
(00:45):
speak on it, so I won't, but I'm just saying
when you go to events like this, they have like
people that come in experts, people who are certified that
can tell you the things that you should have set
up and they tell each plan to you.
Speaker 3 (00:57):
Amazing.
Speaker 4 (00:57):
But it's great for me because I always want to
make sure I'm figuring out ways to get my finances
in order. So just some things to think about, ay,
But yes, let's get the show started with some love
and some positivity. Let's Hina Light eight hundred two nine
two fifty one fifty as a number, call us up
let us know who you want to spread some love to.
Speaker 3 (01:16):
Who do you want to shine a light on?

spreading love to those who are doing greatness.
Speaker 3 (01:25):

It's time to shine a light on them, all right.
Speaker 4 (01:33):
It's way up with Angela Yee and it is time
to shine a light on this Friday and today I
want to shine a light on a sister in radio
and that is my Girl's Stitches up here in Miami.
Speaker 3 (01:43):
She is just amazing.
Speaker 4 (01:45):
She came out to the event that I was doing yesterday.
She's always supportive. But what I love about her is
that she's also a community leader and she has her
own organizations where she helps out the younger women who
want to be in this music business. But she's also
an on air hosty she's known as the Midday Bay
and she's also the official female voice of Miami station
out here one oh three point five The Beat. She's
(02:07):
on every single day, and she's also on other stations
throughout the iHeartRadio family. But what it's really nice is
that when you can run across somebody in the same
business that you're in, that's just amazing and a good
spirit and really has good intentions at all times.
Speaker 3 (02:21):
Plus she's of Haitian descent.
Speaker 4 (02:22):
And when I tell you the event we had yesterday,
there was something going on, some type of Haitian event
right next door to and she was out and she
was there, and then she texted me later like, Yo,
you gotta come to this party.
Speaker 3 (02:31):
It's amazing. So shout out to her.
Speaker 4 (02:33):
Represented for Automaitians, all right, and for everybody, all the women.
Speaker 3 (02:37):
Now, Terrell, who do you want to shine a light on?
Speaker 6 (02:40):
I want to shine a light on my granddaughter.
Speaker 2 (02:42):
Her name is Winter Roberts.
Speaker 7 (02:43):
She's ten years old to Detroit, Michigan.
Speaker 4 (02:45):
Oh okay, she found in ded Now tell us why
you're shining a light on your granddaughter.
Speaker 8 (02:49):
Oh right, I love business.
Speaker 4 (02:51):
Okay, she your first grandchild, yes and only. Oh so
she is super spoiled. Okay, oh yes, all right, Well
thank you for calling a thank you too, Michie. All right,
Well that was shining light eight hundred and two nine
two fifty one fifty. If you couldn't get through, you
can always leave a message for last word and shine
a light that way. And when we come back, we
(03:12):
have your yet and these BT Award nominations are in,
We'll tell you who is leading the award.
Speaker 3 (03:18):
See if you can guess, it's way up, it says.
Speaker 2 (03:21):
In the rooms from Industry Shade to all of gos,
sop out send. Angela's feeling that yet.
Speaker 3 (03:29):
It's way up with Angela yee.
Speaker 4 (03:30):
And I'm here in sunny Miami and let's get into
the et now. My producer Dan is here and I
know he can't wait to wait in on the twenty
twenty five BET Awards nominations. Who do you think is
leading the pack with ten nominations? You just heard him
on the air, Yeah, Kendrick, and you're going to see
him in concert tonight.
Speaker 5 (03:50):
Yes, I am all right?
Speaker 4 (03:51):
Well, yes, ten nominations including Album of the Year Video
of the Year for Not Like Us, and then after that,
Dough Chy, Drizzy, Drake, Future and Glowa have six nominations each,
and then Metro Booman has five. Now it's the twenty
fifth anniversary again of the BET Awards. We already told
you all yesterday about one O six in Park also
celebrating and doing a special one O six in Park
(04:13):
reunion for that as well. But it's gonna be hosted
by Kevin Hart and it airs on June ninth, so
it airs alive Album of the Year, Dan, Who do
you think should win Album of the Year? They have
Draken Party, next Door, some sexy songs for you, Chris Brown,
eleven eleven DeLux, Dochi Alligate, Advice, Never Hill, Beyonce, Cowboy,
Carter Lorella with Glorious, Kendrick Lamarg and next The Weekend,
(04:37):
Hurry Up Tomorrow, and Future and metro Booman We Don't trust.
Speaker 9 (04:40):
I want to say The Weekend Hurry Up Tomorrow, but
I'm not mad at Doci. If Dochi wins it, I'd
be happy with that, But I think The Weekend.
Speaker 4 (04:46):
Honestly, listen, that Doughchy album was a game tyes. It was,
so that's gonna be tough.
Speaker 5 (04:52):
What do you think?
Speaker 3 (04:53):
Mmm, that's a hard one.
Speaker 4 (04:58):
I was gonna say, Doci, that's kind of I feel
like that was that was one of the most impactful albums.
But Kenjick's gn X, I mean, we just heard Luther.
That song has been topping the charts, I know, and
then not like us is on what it's not it's
not on the album. That's interesting now that I think,
all right, well, we'll see. And then lastly, I do
(05:18):
want to ask you this one because this is always
a big category. Best female hip hop artists, Cardi B, Doci,
Doja Cat, Glorilla, Alatto, Megan Is Stallion, Nicki Minaj's Rhapsody,
and Sexy.
Speaker 5 (05:29):
Red Dotie buy a landslide?
Speaker 4 (05:32):
Okay, Dochi buy a landslide. I'm not mad at Lorella either.
Speaker 9 (05:35):
I'm not mad at Glow, but I feel like last
year was closed here. This year is Doci's here.
Speaker 4 (05:39):
All right, so let's see what happens. This could be
Dochi's sweeping it right.
Speaker 3 (05:43):
You never know.
Speaker 4 (05:44):
Well, you're here for a well fact. Joe and Jada Kisse.
You know, they have their new podcast, Joe and Jada,
and they had some things to say about Kenjick Lamar
in LA.
Speaker 3 (05:53):
Here's what they said.
Speaker 10 (05:54):
It's a fact Kendrick Lamar gets played nine out of
every ten songs LA right now.
Speaker 5 (06:01):
Not even Snoop Dogg, not even.
Speaker 10 (06:03):
Tupasha Call, not nobody from LA has dominated the paint
like this guy.
Speaker 3 (06:11):
Well you heard it.
Speaker 4 (06:13):
And now Kenjack Lamar, by the way, also has earned
the highest grossing concert by a black man as headlining
or co headlining artist in history. He made eleven point
eight to two million at at and T Stadium in
Arlington on April twenty six, So yet another record broken
by Kenjack Lamar. You know previously that record was held
by your guy Dan The Weekend love it my two favorites,
(06:35):
and he beat him by two million. By the way,
the Weekend gross nine point eight million.
Speaker 5 (06:39):
I love it.
Speaker 9 (06:39):
Well, let's see how the Weekend's tour with Playboy Carty does.
That's coming up soon.
Speaker 4 (06:42):
All right, Well that is your yee t. You love
Playboy CARTI too. When we come back, we have about
last night. That's where we discussed what we did last night,
and I already tell you I'm out here in Miami,
so I'll tell you how all of that went down
and some things that I learned to It's way up.
Speaker 2 (06:57):
Who nice n So about last night?
Speaker 11 (07:02):
Yes, I went down.
Speaker 4 (07:06):
Yeah, it's way up at Angelay and it's time for
about last night.
Speaker 3 (07:10):
Now, Dan, are you with me? I'm here because I'm
in Miami.
Speaker 4 (07:13):
You're in New York in the studio, and so I'm
out in Miami because of JP Morgan talking about their
wealth management building a new legacy and one of the
questions that they asked us yesterday was what does your
ideal day in retirement look like? And that's something we
had to think about. Now, what would your answer be?
Speaker 5 (07:34):
My answer, I want to wake up early.
Speaker 9 (07:36):
I want to have like avocado toast with a poached
egg that I want to go play eighteen holes of golf,
maybe come back to the pool in the backyard, have
a glass of scotch, maybe a joint sounds good, all right.
Speaker 4 (07:47):
So that means that you have to be starting to
think about that now, not that you're about to retire
anytime soon. But part of what I'm always trying to
do is when I was younger, I used to always
be nervous about one day not having to work because
I've seen, like my family, everybody work, you know, forever,
and so you don't want to have to do that.
So one thing I said when I thought about my retirement,
(08:09):
I remember going to Magic Johnson's birthday party and then
Cookie and he does this trip every year where he's
on his like mega yacht, you know, traveling around the world.
Speaker 3 (08:20):
He's got friends joining him in different places.
Speaker 4 (08:22):
Now, I only went because my girl, Ingrid, was working
at a company at the time that sponsored it and
she was able to.
Speaker 3 (08:27):
Bring someone she bought me. Thank you, Ingrid. So that's
why I was there.
Speaker 4 (08:31):
But it definitely was inspirational to see what it was
that he has going on, things to investing well, because
you know, when it comes to athletes, yes they can
make a lot of money, but some of them invest
well and build that wealth and some of them do not.
So that trip was just inspirational for me to see.
Speaker 3 (08:48):
How he's living.
Speaker 4 (08:49):
And then we stopped over at Monaco on the way
back and I was like, man, I wish I could
just go shopping and get whatever I want.
Speaker 3 (08:58):
Obviously I didn't have it like that at that time.
Speaker 4 (09:00):
A nikky beach there, I remember going up there, So
that would be my ideal day. I would love to
be able to do something like that, where you have
a yacht, you bring your friends, your family, you know,
travel around, stop off in different places, go shopping, do
what you like, have beautiful, amazing dinners and beautiful backgrounds,
and enjoy life. Because right now I can't take off
from work for more than a week at a time.
Speaker 5 (09:21):
Our retirements are in two different tax brackets.
Speaker 3 (09:24):
Well that's why you start planning now.
Speaker 5 (09:25):
I hear you.
Speaker 4 (09:26):
I'm saying that's not you're talking about having a pool,
playing golf all day, post.
Speaker 3 (09:32):
Some of the things you said. But look, we got
a dream, bab.
Speaker 5 (09:34):
I hear you.
Speaker 3 (09:35):
I hear got a dream. Big you never know, I
hear you.
Speaker 4 (09:38):
All right, Well that is about last night, and when
we come back, it's time to tell us a secret.
Eight hundred two nine two fifty one fifty. Call us up,
any secret that you have. You know we're not gonna
judge you now. I can't guarantee that online. They won't
because people be mad. They'd be mad at me for
y'all secrets, So I will take that hit, all right.
Eight hundred two nine two fifty one fifty. Call us up,
(09:59):
any secret you have. Remember it's a no judgment zone.
You are anonymous, so nobody knows who you are. That's
eight hundred two nine two fifty one fifty. Y'all really
showed out for Jamil Hill, but she's getting some heat
because of your secrets. All right, eight hundred two nine two.
Speaker 3 (10:12):
Fifty one fifty. Call us up. Tell us a secret.
It's way up, yo, wa yup.
Speaker 5 (10:18):
This is a judgment free zone.
Speaker 4 (10:20):
Tell us a secret, what's up this way up at
Angela yee, and it's time for ooh, tell us a secret.
Y'all love it, but y'all also hate it because there
are some secrets out there. But again it is a
no judgment zone, So we're here for you guys to
just get things out there, just get that burden off
of your back, but also stay anonymous and release it
in the atmosphere and hopefully it flies away, all right.
(10:41):
Eight hundred two nine two fifty one fifty anonymous Carlor
tell us a secret.
Speaker 7 (10:45):
I am is the aunts of my daughters. So my
ex husband's aunt's house.
Speaker 4 (10:51):
Your ex husband's is it his sister or his his aunt? Okay,
so your child's on Why did you do that?
Speaker 7 (10:57):
Like she called me in bad mother, Like I'm not
there for my kids, but I'm the only one that's
there for my kids.
Speaker 3 (11:03):
Do you think she knows?
Speaker 5 (11:04):
Is you?
Speaker 7 (11:05):
I think she does?
Speaker 4 (11:06):
What was her reaction? Did you hear anything about it afterwards?
Speaker 7 (11:09):
Yeah? It was on Facebook that she messaged my mother
because I have them all on block, So.
Speaker 3 (11:15):
She does know because she messages your mother. Why do
you care what she thinks?
Speaker 7 (11:21):
I gave him a lot of chance to be there
in my kid's life, and their father doesn't even give
no two friends about this, but he doesn't care about
her kids.
Speaker 4 (11:31):
Yeah, it feels like they're root of the problem is him,
and they're just piggybacking off of what he's saying and doing.
Speaker 7 (11:36):
Yep, I egged their house. I hag her car.
Speaker 3 (11:39):
You meant that because eggs are expensive.
Speaker 12 (11:41):
I was so upset.
Speaker 7 (11:43):
Yeah, I was just just like I was just I
didn't care. But I kind of regret it.
Speaker 4 (11:47):
I wonder if you'll ever apologize.
Speaker 7 (11:49):
I was thinking about that apologizing, but I don't know.
I don't even know if I wanted to bring my
kids around them again, like because I gave him so
much chances and.
Speaker 10 (11:58):
For her to.
Speaker 4 (12:00):
Yeah, sounds like you guys need some family therapy.
Speaker 3 (12:04):
Yes, well, thank you for sharing with us, no judgment.
Speaker 7 (12:07):
No, okay, thank you, all right, I take care.
Speaker 3 (12:10):
All right.
Speaker 4 (12:10):
Well that was tell us a secret eight hundred two
nine fifty one fifty. If you couldn't get through it,
you could always leave a message and tell us a
secret that way. And when we come back, we have
your yee t And let's talk about paup heers. He
actually was walking barefoot because he had a bet and
he definitely made good on that bet.
Speaker 3 (12:26):
We'll tell you about it.
Speaker 2 (12:27):
It's way up, shure, she's about to blow the lead
off this spot.
Speaker 5 (12:30):
Let's get it.
Speaker 2 (12:31):
Oh yeah, angelus feeling that yea te.
Speaker 4 (12:33):
Come and get the tea, all right, his way up
at angela. Yeah, and it is time for your yet now,
Paup Piers made a bet and had to make good
on that bet. He believed that the Celtics would beat
the Knicks in Game two of the playoff series.
Speaker 3 (12:48):
And here is.
Speaker 4 (12:50):
Him being adamant and standing ten toes down in that.
Speaker 6 (12:53):
If the Shelters lose, going to it all, I promise
you dropped walking here tomorrow in my role shoes.
Speaker 3 (13:00):
All well, guess what happened? And Dan, you were watching
the game.
Speaker 5 (13:06):
Amazing game, amazing game.
Speaker 4 (13:07):
And you know he lost that bet. Some people don't
believe that he actually walked. They said it was a
seven hour journey. Here is what he had to say.
Speaker 6 (13:18):
I can't believe it self has got me out here
like this, Ah, way out here.
Speaker 3 (13:24):
I'll step it. Oh, here we go, bab here we go.
Speaker 11 (13:27):
You know.
Speaker 4 (13:27):
I saw people on social media saying that timing wasn't
adding up about how far he had to walk and
so on and so forth, and he said, no means
of transportation other than his feet. So not sure, but
he is acting like he really walk.
Speaker 9 (13:42):
You believe him, I actually do because he was on Live. Yeah,
and he was going on Live every hour to check in.
Speaker 3 (13:50):
That's a great workout, all right. Now.
Speaker 4 (13:52):
In other sports news, on Gil's Arena, Kenya Martin got
into it with Nick Young and Basic. He was upset
that Nick Young pulled out his phone in the middle
of the podcast and was showing Gilbert Arena is something.
And here is how the two of them went back
and forth.
Speaker 6 (14:09):
I'm trying not tell Nick shuck up while I'm talking.
We were talking, right, Grandpa, like just rude, just watch
your phone. We're talking about something important, about the.
Speaker 5 (14:20):
Wrong thing, and you want to talk like.
Speaker 6 (14:23):
We're trying to con jump them up showing you over.
Speaker 3 (14:29):
I'm never going to shut up, he.
Speaker 4 (14:32):
Said, I'm never going to shut up, and he was
still trying to show Gilbert Arena is something on his phone.
Speaker 3 (14:36):
But they went back and forth.
Speaker 4 (14:38):
What did you think about that interaction about Nick Young
pulling out his phone, because I do feel like there's
a way you could check somebody, but they don't have
to be.
Speaker 9 (14:43):
Like yeah, I think that was a bad look to
do that on air. Yeah, because you want to show
you got the chemistry right, Yeah.
Speaker 3 (14:50):
And apparently they didn't.
Speaker 4 (14:51):
I think they had to end the episode because of that.
All right, now, Drake, people are saying that he is
a hypocrite, and you saying he's a hypocrite because of
his latest filing to dismiss his defamation lawsuit. Again, Drake
has been called out as they're trying to dismiss his
defamation lawsuit against them. He recently amended that lawsuit to
(15:12):
update it. He said there's more evidence to support his
claims of being defamed, and he talked about Kendrick's performance
at the super Bowl, and so you know, I don't
know what's going to happen with.
Speaker 3 (15:23):
This whole lawsuit.
Speaker 4 (15:24):
People are talking about how important it is to watch
and follow this. But the statement from UMG says that
Drake is a hypocrite given his own songs contained claims
about Kendrick Lamar. They also said that when you get
into a battle and do things like that, when you
get into a rap beef, you have to anticipate that
there's gonna be defamatory things. So if you engage in
(15:45):
that creative expression, then you're kind of allowing for that
to happen. Because you said things about Kendrick. Kendrick said
things about you. So they said. Nowhere in that legal
quote blather written by Drake's lawyers do they bother to
acknowledge that Drake himself has written and perform massively successful
(16:06):
songs containing equally provocative taunts against other artists. Nor do
they mention that it was Drake who started this particular exchange.
Speaker 3 (16:13):
So we'll see what happens with that.
Speaker 4 (16:16):
But one thing that came out of all this, Rick
Rosta said he's open to ending his beaf with Drake
and that it wasn't really that serious at all. So
there you have it. Well that is your Yet when
we come back, we have under the radar. These are
the stories that are not necessarily in the headlines. They're
flying under the radar, but you need to know about him.
Former President Joe Biden was on the view yesterday and
(16:37):
he took some responsibility for Trump beating the Democrats in
twenty twenty four. Will tell you what he had to say,
it's way up.
Speaker 2 (16:45):
The news relates to you. These stories are flying under
the radar.
Speaker 4 (16:49):
Yo, it's way up with Angela. Ye, Happy Friday. I'm
live in Miami, and it's time to go under the radar. Now,
let's talk about former President Joe Biden. He was on
the View and he talked about the fact that he
does take responsibility for Donald Trump winning in twenty twenty four.
Speaker 3 (17:05):
Here's what he said. Do you take any responsibility for
Trump's reelection?
Speaker 6 (17:09):
Yes?
Speaker 11 (17:10):
I do, because look I was in charge and he won,
So you know, I take.
Speaker 3 (17:14):
Responsibility knowing what you know. Now, do you think you
would have beat him?
Speaker 11 (17:18):
Yeah, he's still got seven million fewer votes. A lot
of people didn't show up. They're very close in those toss.
Speaker 3 (17:24):
Up states, all right. Now.
Speaker 4 (17:26):
A lot of people were going really hard for Joe
Biden to drop out of that race, and he said
he got out of it because he didn't want to
have a divided Democratic Party. And one thing, and I've
always said this, is that we are still a very
sexist country and I don't think a lot of people
wanted to see a woman, let alone a black and
Asian woman as president.
Speaker 3 (17:46):
Here is what Joe Biden had to say about that,
why do you think the vice president lost? And were
you surprised?
Speaker 11 (17:53):
I wasn't surprised, not because I didn't think the vice
president most qualified person to be president.
Speaker 5 (17:58):
She is.
Speaker 11 (17:59):
I wasn't surprised because the route is sexistrud Really, I've
never seen quite as successful and a consistent campaign undercutting
the notion that a woman couldn't lead the country and
a woman of mixed trace.
Speaker 3 (18:13):
All right, so there you have it.
Speaker 4 (18:15):
But you know, it's hard to say what could have happened,
what would have happened.
Speaker 3 (18:19):
We'll never know those things.
Speaker 4 (18:21):
And you know, to go along with that, Bill Gates
pledged yesterday to give away two hundred billion dollars via
his charitable foundation by twenty forty five. And he did
say say that Elon Musk is killing the world's poorest children.
So he's speeding up his plans to divest almost all
of his fortune. And he would close the foundation on
December thirty first, twenty forty five. That's earlier than he
(18:42):
had initially planned to do that. And this is because
the government, including the Trump administration, is going to slash
international aid budgets that's used to prevent deadly disease and famine.
And that's all overseen by Elon Musk, who has publicly
bragged about feeding the US Agency for International Development into
the woods chipper, And so he said to the Financial
(19:03):
Bill Gates told the Financial Times, the picture of the
world's richest man killing the world's poorest children is not
a pretty one. The number of deaths will start to
will start going up for the first time, is going
to be millions more depths because of the resources.
Speaker 3 (19:17):
So that's his plan.
Speaker 4 (19:19):
All right, Well, that is you're under the radar, and
you know these tarriffs.
Speaker 3 (19:23):
Let me tell you.
Speaker 4 (19:23):
The CEO of Pandora, that produces jewelry, says that producing
jewelry and America simply won't work. He said, I can't
find that amount of talent that actually has this craft
experience in the US. He gets a lot of that
done in Thailand, and they employed nearly fifteen thousand workers
in Thailand, but they cannot build that type of workforce
of enough specialized employees in the US. He said, it's
(19:46):
not going to happen. All right, Well, that is your
under the radar. Now, you know, we do have the
way up mix at the top of the hour and
speaking of music, it is a Friday, like we keep
telling you, so we have your new music Fridays on
the way. It's way up, man, she's spilling it.
Speaker 2 (20:00):
Oh, this is y eat.
Speaker 3 (20:05):
All right?
Speaker 4 (20:05):
His way up at angela ye and it is time
for your yeat. So a Marine was on the Joe
Button podcast and people were talking about how amazing she looks.
I love me some amrin and you know last year
she had also talked about returning to music. She put
out some new music. She also has a book as well,
but in the meantime, here she is discussing how she
(20:26):
reacted when she found out she thought she was going
to get dropped from her label.
Speaker 3 (20:29):
Here's what she said.
Speaker 13 (20:31):
One thing came out in two thousand and four because
I leaked it over Christmas because everyone will be on breaks.
They can't stop anything for me. I was like, look,
I think I might get dropped, so I just want
people to.
Speaker 3 (20:41):
Hear the music. I don't really care about getting paid
for it.
Speaker 13 (20:43):
At the time, they were trying to like give the
record to somebody else, but they couldn't because I wrote
on the record too.
Speaker 3 (20:48):
So you can't just take it up, do you know
who they were trying to get it to. Yes, Jennifer Lopez.
Speaker 2 (20:53):
You know what.
Speaker 4 (20:54):
And now that I hear this song again, when I
go back after she told that story, I can see
the reason why they would have wanted to give it
to her.
Speaker 3 (21:03):
I mean, a Marie, that is an amazing song.
Speaker 4 (21:05):
But here's what it sounds like for a refresh. Nobody
could have did that song like Amory though, but I
could understand why they probably felt like that would have
been a great song to get to j LO. All right, now,
(21:26):
let's get into what's going on with this Ditty trial
because there are some new things coming out as they're
in the courtroom, and one thing that Diddy's defense team
is leaning in on is saying that yes, Diddy was
abusive towardous ex Cassie, but they're also saying that she
was no angel and allegedly got violent with him as well.
(21:47):
It's day four of the Ditty trial and the prosecutor
and Ditty's attorney had a very interesting exchange with the judge.
It kicked off with Johnson telling the judge that the victim,
one who they believe is Cassie, will not be cross
examined about a certain medical issues. But that's when Ditty's
attorney said, the defense is going to take the position
there was a mutual violence in their relationship, hitting on
(22:09):
both sides DV domestic violence. He said, we are absolutely
going to admit to domestic violence, but at what point
does it become coeresive? And that's when the judge clarified, saying,
you're arguing that they are just violent, and he said, right,
we are saying that it's relevant. They also said they're
submitting a letter to the court on the topic and
they're going to offer two cell phone videos and the
(22:30):
corrected CNN footage of that infamous tape where you saw
Diddy beating Cassie up at the Intercontinental Hotel in La.
Speaker 3 (22:37):
If you recall, Diddy's team have been saying.
Speaker 4 (22:40):
That tape was doctor there was more to it, and
so I guess they have the full video they are
claiming that they're planning to bring up in court. So
we'll see what happens with all of that. There's also
a victim three, a star witness in Ditty's sex traffickinschall
Federal prosecutors are taking a big gamble, they're saying with
(23:02):
that victim because she has made it clear that she
does not want to testify. They said the woman has
never cooperated with prosecutors, never gave an indication that she'd
be willing to take the stand during the trial.
Speaker 3 (23:13):
So people are wondering.
Speaker 4 (23:14):
Why did prosecutors add her to that indictment, And they're
going to address her absence next week as well, So
it'll be interesting to see what's happening as we're watching everything.
Gloria Estefan in the meantime, has also responded to accusations
that she was having freak offs and hosting those events
and said that that is completely false and the person
who accused her of that just look into his background.
(23:35):
So woo, this ditty child is going to be a
real thing as they're covering it everywhere now. Kanye in
the meantime is now saying that Kim Kardashian is exploiting
their children. He has sent a letter to Ki Kim
Kardashian's attorney, a seasoned desists concerning the welfare of their children.
(23:56):
You know they are divorced, but in the season desist,
Kanye is saying that Kim Kardashian and violated his rights
and their divorce settlement in three ways. First, he's saying
that Kanye bought first. Kanye saying Kim bought Northwest to
the met Gala and left her in the car unattended
during portions of the event.
Speaker 3 (24:13):
She's eleven years old, though, and.
Speaker 4 (24:15):
I'm sure that like in the vehicle, I'm sure it
was a beautiful vehicle somebody driving, So I don't know
that she was unattended. He also says that she ignored
his demands not to post images and videos of Northwest
on TikTok, and that he also does not have meaningful
access to his kids, which violates their custody agreement. He
also says that he has not seen Saints so far
this year. Now, his claims about Saint have already been debunked.
(24:39):
Their pictures of him with the three kids in Japan
back in January, so that wouldn't be true. So we'll
see how they respond to that. But I can understand
there's a lot going on with Kanye right now. Of course,
you want a father to be in their kids' life,
but you also want to make sure that the kids
are safe and that the father is not going through anything.
All right, Well, that is your yut. When we come back,
(24:59):
we have the new music. It's a new music Friday
will tell you what you should be looking for, what
you should be listening to, and you can always chime

Speaker 7 (25:23):
What's up?
Speaker 3 (25:24):
What is your question today?
Speaker 5 (25:26):
So I got to touch this for you.
Speaker 12 (25:27):
So if you and your friend was to get into
a little situation and you know she was supposed to
be doing it, would you give her name to the cops?
Speaker 14 (25:38):
Oh?
Speaker 4 (25:39):
I don't know if I would give up somebody's name
to the cops. I mean, is it Is it a
situation where because y'all did something together, so that would
be considered snitching, right if the two of you did
something together? And so yes, I mean, look understand what
both sides are. So if you decide to do that,
is that to protect yourself? So it's either you or her?
(26:01):
But then who's to say, what's going to happen to you?
Is it like a situation where they're trying to cut
a deal. Because the other thing is, you know, when
it comes to these legal situations, they will tell you anything.
But I want to say, no matter what it is
that you're grappling with and what you're struggling with, make
sure that you have great representation. But also know that
y'all did something together. And if you do, go to
(26:23):
the cops and tell just know what it's going to
be look like and listen. I'm not here to tell
somebody what to do or what not to do with
their life, because I do feel like there's a lot
of people who are walking around free and clear, you know,
and have been in that situation and gave up somebody
else and they are thriving and living their life right now.
But that is your friend. Y'all did make a decision
(26:43):
to do something together, and so you guys are both accountable.
So for you to walk away scott free because you're
giving her up or whoever your friend is, that's a
whole scenario that you.
