I could use a good laugh, right because we're all
thinking about how it's almost time to go back to work, y'all.
But happy holidays. It is that time of the year.

Speaker 4 (00:22):
I love it.

Speaker 3 (00:23):
And we have a special guest joining us today. Drewski
is gonna be here. You know, he was on the
Forbes twenty twenty four Top Creators list. He was number
eleven on that list, with twelve million dollars in earnings
within the past twelve months alone. The fact that he
had this sold out could affest. I mean, that was
a huge deal and that all started from an Instagram live.
So we love to hear these stories of people who

(00:45):
had an idea just started doing something.

Speaker 4 (00:47):
It organically took off and they made some bread. All right.

Speaker 3 (00:50):
So Drewski's joining us, But in the meantime, let's start
to show off with some love and some positivity.

Speaker 4 (00:55):
Call us up.

Speaker 3 (00:55):
Eight hundred and two ninety two fifty one fifty. Let's
shine a light.

Speaker 4 (00:58):
It's way up.

Speaker 5 (00:59):
I'm a I'm shine Turn your lights on, y'all, kind
your lights on and spreading love to those who are
doing greatness.

Speaker 2 (01:06):
Shine the light on them, shine.

Speaker 6 (01:08):
The light on.

Speaker 2 (01:10):
It's time to shine a light on.

Speaker 4 (01:13):
What's up?

Speaker 3 (01:13):
Its way up with Angela yee, And it is that
time of the show where you guys get to call
in and spread some love. Now, Shine of Light was
developed so that we could make sure we acknowledge people
who are doing amazing things. Maybe these are people who
don't normally get shouted out. Maybe it's a family member
who you just want to show some love to because
they've been doing amazing things, they've been helpful to you.

(01:33):
Maybe it's a business that you saw that you supported
or you want to make sure people know about. Maybe
it's a nonprofit organization something you saw on the news.
Who knows, But anyway, the whole point is to spread love.
Eight hundred and two ninety two fifty one fifty Call
us up, Let us know who you want to shine
a light on.

Speaker 4 (01:49):
What's up? Stacy, who do you want to shine a
light on?

Speaker 7 (01:51):
I want to shot a lot of shine a light
on my cousin, Brionni Kilpatrick.

Speaker 4 (01:55):
Okay, she has this Sam program.

Speaker 7 (01:58):
She's an engineer for the city New Haven. She has
the STEM program that she started for the youth in
the inner city. She's just been named the youngest Legendary
woman by a cannelist of legendary women from all over
the state and New Haven. And I just feel like
she's like just one of my biggest inspirations. She's younger

(02:20):
than me, but I look up to her so much.

Speaker 4 (02:22):
That's amazing.

Speaker 7 (02:22):
I'm so proud of her. And I just feel like
she's dealing with things going on internally, but she's not
letting it show on the outside. So I just want
to show her up for being one of the strongest
people I know.

Speaker 4 (02:36):
Ah, well, that's the well shout out to her.

Speaker 3 (02:37):
And I love the fact that you said that she's
younger than you, but you still get inspired by her.
You can still learn a lot, and I'm sure she's
inspired by you too.

Speaker 7 (02:45):
Yes, I love her so much.

Speaker 4 (02:47):
All right, Well, thank you for colling, Thank you all right.

Speaker 3 (02:51):
Well that was Shining Light eight hundred and two ninet
two fifty one fifty. Remember if you couldn't get through,
you can leave a message. I make sure our phone
lines are always open and available for you. You guys,
you can also click that microphone on the app and
leave a message that way and we can get you
a shine a light for last word, it's all about you.

Speaker 4 (03:07):
It's way up.

Speaker 5 (03:07):
I got everybody like since, whether it's relationship or Korea advice,
Angela's dropping facts.

Speaker 3 (03:13):
You should This is ask what's up? His way up
with Angela? Yee, I'm here with my girl, Cella.

Speaker 4 (03:18):
That's right, hey girl, and the.

Speaker 3 (03:20):
Award winning advice gil Win may No, all right, we
got Toyoa on the line.

Speaker 4 (03:24):
What's up, Toya?

Speaker 1 (03:25):
How you doing?

Speaker 7 (03:26):
Angela? How good? How are you?

Speaker 1 (03:29):
I'm doing good?

Speaker 4 (03:30):
You have a question for us for asking?

Speaker 1 (03:32):
Ye, yeah, for sure. I'm just trying to figure out
how to navigate a long business relationship because I'm in
one right now, and not that we have tremorial, but
it's starting to get there.

Speaker 4 (03:43):
Give me some more details.

Speaker 1 (03:45):
The struggles are just I guess time. He wants to
be on the phone a lot more than I do
because I'm pretty busy during the day, and plus he's
in LA three hours behind. My day's already be started,
So there's a lot of times where he wants to
on the phone and I just don't have the time to.
So now it's starting to cast some friction in our relationship.

Speaker 2 (04:05):
When do y'all see each other?

Speaker 1 (04:07):
Well, he added, comes to New York once a month
to come see me, or I'll fly out to.

Speaker 2 (04:13):
La which you need a little bit more.

Speaker 8 (04:15):
You need a little bit more than that though, right, Yeah,
so listen, listen to my advice.

Speaker 2 (04:21):
Get you a little something on the side.

Speaker 4 (04:22):
Oh for sure, yeah, I mean, it ain't gonna work anymore.
I want to say. Let me say something without these two.

Speaker 3 (04:33):
When you're in a long distance relationship, it does require
a lot of extra phone time, so you do have
to prioritize at times making sure that you guys can talk.

Speaker 4 (04:42):
And the time difference isn't easy.

Speaker 3 (04:44):
So it's just a matter of aligning what is the
best time for us to talk and maybe every day
you said a time like, look, I have between here
and here, And of course you can spontaneously hit each
other up, but maybe you guys have to just get
more aligned on how often you can talk. You see
each other once a month, how often do you go there.

Speaker 1 (05:00):
I'm not gonna lie. He definitely comes to seeing me
more than I go see him.

Speaker 2 (05:04):
She needs something to do. Listen, Oh my god, I
can point you in the right direction.

Speaker 3 (05:12):
No, but maybe what it is is, maybe you guys
don't need to be in a committed relationship right now.

Speaker 1 (05:17):
I agree with you.

Speaker 3 (05:18):
So maybe you guys date and agree to have a
relationship where you can see other people and then if
things change, they don't. It's only been nine months and
it feels like it's difficult. Like you said, you have
a lot.

Speaker 4 (05:29):
Of work going on.

Speaker 3 (05:30):
He's requiring more than you can really give him right now,
and so it's not fair to either one of you.

Speaker 9 (05:36):
He would be on her heels, but he gotta find
something to do too, because that's why he nagging her.

Speaker 4 (05:42):
He ain't got to do in this man.

Speaker 1 (05:45):
I mean, I'm like, I'm here laughing like, oh my god.

Speaker 2 (05:49):
Yes to do.

Speaker 9 (05:51):
That's why he keep outside. She's working. Can she be tired?
It's not your fault, but.

Speaker 1 (05:57):
The fact that he can't understand it yet is just
that's what the issue is. Like, I'm not I can't
believe you're not understanding. Like I already had my day.

Speaker 3 (06:05):
And you, Yeah, you need somebody that's more empathetic.

Speaker 2 (06:09):
You need somebody more understanding. Send that dam gonna just
you're right.

Speaker 4 (06:14):
You know what to do woman, Yeah, I got you.

Speaker 1 (06:19):
I appreciate you guys and advice. All right, so you're
gonna consider.

Speaker 4 (06:24):
It, Yes you should.

Speaker 2 (06:28):
We'll talk later.

Speaker 1 (06:30):
Yeah, for sure. Thank you guys so much.

Speaker 4 (06:33):
Have a good day. Thank you to you.

Speaker 3 (06:35):
All right, Well that was asked you. That was a
train wreck eight hundred to two. You could leave a
message if you would want some more of this advice.
It's way up at Angela. Ye, it's gonna turn me
up here we go up again.

Speaker 5 (06:48):
This is way up with Angela.

Speaker 3 (06:50):
Ye, what's up this way up at Angela? Yee, I'm
Angela yee. Jasmine Brand is here.

Speaker 4 (06:54):
Yes, we got a very gento with mama. Come on
you Ski is in the building, you say, virgin Yeah
to the show, Oh yeah, yeah to the show.

Speaker 2 (07:04):
Come on you know yeah, I love.

Speaker 4 (07:08):
Your new show. Could have been we were dying.

Speaker 8 (07:10):
Yeah, they trust me. They competing that See, we said
the wrong thing. We told him that for fifty thousand dollars.
And once we did that, hey man, it was a
hell from there for really everybody fighting chaos. It's like
like everybody's freestyle battling, like nobody's like faking it.

Speaker 3 (07:25):
Is there anybody in particular that you took a liking
to this, Like I want to put this person, take
them under my wing.

Speaker 8 (07:30):
Oh man, it's really it's so many of them. Like
I think we had a dude that named Block thirty.
He's such a big character in the show and he's
so funny, like like he really loves Could Have Been
Records and he is serious about this, and like that's
what I love about it because I'm like, damn, yeah,
he don't care. He's like, yo, nobody can say anything
bad about Drewski. He is the CEO. He runs this

(07:50):
and Could Have Been Records is real. But that gets yeah, yeah, no, no, no,
we don't want to know beef out the streets, right, yeah, yeah, yeah.

Speaker 3 (07:58):
That's just that's the line though in business, right when
it comes to some record label CEOs don't like to
befriend the artist so much because there's a fine line
between being friends with somebody and having a business relationship.

Speaker 2 (08:11):
You ain't at this ceo because I ain't gonna line.

Speaker 8 (08:13):
Nothing, you ain't gonna find line, ain't no boundaries.

Speaker 4 (08:16):
When they get and when they get mad and the
label ain't doing it.

Speaker 2 (08:19):
They know what's gonna happen?

Speaker 4 (08:20):
Right after label Jewski ain't doing.

Speaker 2 (08:24):
But guess what you do? What you did when you
sign up? It was a three safety from the jump.

Speaker 3 (08:28):
Right now, I'm with Jasmine Brand and we're talking to
Drew ski. I feel like there's gonna be some great
guest appearances too from some celebrities.

Speaker 4 (08:37):
Can you give us some scip into that.

Speaker 8 (08:39):
Yeah, you know, I think he's in prison right now,
actually really him, but yeah, now he's on the show
as well.

Speaker 2 (08:47):
He was teaching him like jail one on one.

Speaker 4 (08:48):
Okay, it makes sense, Yeah.

Speaker 2 (08:50):
How to make them little pockets. You never know when
you going to jail. You never know, sis, come on now.
But yeah, so we had him on there. Yeah.

Speaker 4 (08:59):
Have you ever been in jail?

Speaker 2 (09:00):
No? Oh, actually I did. I did.

Speaker 8 (09:02):
I did like seventeen hours. I was in the holdness.
I think my license was h.

Speaker 6 (09:11):

Speaker 4 (09:13):
Man, did you meet anybody or are you Yeah?

Speaker 2 (09:15):
I was in there singing songs and stuff. I have fun.

Speaker 4 (09:20):
Did you have to go before a judge or did
they just come and get.

Speaker 8 (09:22):
You like, uh no, no, my mom came and got me. Listen, listen,
I'm from the suburbs.

Speaker 2 (09:28):
Yeah, my mom. Yeah, look she's making sure. But yeah,
I was scared of. I was scared of. Hey didn't
keep it all a little man. I was scared. Man.
I sh and we were.

Speaker 8 (09:39):
In there actually the day that they were doing there's
a certain day that we I think like Wednesdays where
they do the prisoners.

Speaker 2 (09:44):
They come back and do their court dates.

Speaker 8 (09:46):
So they come and put the prisoners in the holdings cells,
which got a regular no not with us, thank god,
thank god. They was next to us, and we can
hear them yelling. They grabbing under the door, trying to like, hey,
give me glasses, give me the glasses. Like it was
craz Yeah, they want my glass.

Speaker 4 (10:01):
Oh my god.

Speaker 2 (10:01):
One of them dudes, he had the Muslim cap on.
He won the glasses.

Speaker 4 (10:04):
Oh wow, I gave it to him.

Speaker 2 (10:05):
I was shook. Ye, young, they don't let this brother
in here.

Speaker 4 (10:09):
If you would have gave him your glasses it.

Speaker 2 (10:12):
You know, they taking something else after. You know what
comes with that. You give up something, they gonna take
something else. Yeah, I ain't giving them nothing. I was
shook though.

Speaker 4 (10:19):
