Speaker 1 (00:01):
Wind Down with Janet Kramer and I'm Heart Radio Podcast. Okay,
so today's podcast, we've got some farmers coming on the show.
Remember when we interviewed Jennifer Nettles, So how many seasons
of the show have happened?
Speaker 2 (00:22):
This is the second? Okay that just came out.
Speaker 1 (00:24):
Yeah, because she was promoting the first season. Okay, I
thought so. Yeah, so season two, a Farmer Wants a Wife? Sorry,
does it remind you? Do you feel like farmer in
the dell when something happened, something sing songy happens when
I hear the show China wants a wife? Right, And
I think that may be. But we're in that season
(00:44):
again of making everything a song, aren't we. Yes, baby premiered, Yes,
it premiered Thursday, February first on Fox. And so we've
got two of the farmers coming on. So I have
to say this before they come on. So I don't
think you. I don't know why you aren't in that
group message. I don't think there's like so many million
(01:04):
of them, so I probably did the wrong one. So
I have not watched the show. I don't know if
I don't have time or I don't know. But now
that I know that it's on, and now that we
are going to interview the boys, I'll maybe catch an episode.
But so I'm like, okay, I'm going to look these
boys up just to try to get a little info.
Speaker 2 (01:25):
It's good.
Speaker 1 (01:26):
See see what you know? You go instagram them? Well yeah,
because uh Hannah, so I don't click those because I'm
afraid of getting a preconceived notion. I saw that it
was linked, yes, so I I looked on them. I
linked right, So let's see Mitchell. Okay, So first one
I clicked on was Mitchell and I was like, oh,
he follows me. So it says so it says you
(01:52):
know how it comes up the follow back like, so
obviously I'm like, oh, that's cutie follows me. I was like,
I wonder, you know, he probably just followed me because
he knows he's going to come on wine Down. So
that's sweet showing support, right, And so I thought, well,
I wonder if you send a message to be like, hey,
I'm coming on wine Down. You know, I look at
the message, no, ma'am. So I look at a message
(02:17):
and I see September twenty sixth, twenty twenty one, Oh boy,
what a time to be alive the year of my divorce. Huh,
So was he trying to harvest you? Cramer? Well, this
is what's so funny. So this is his message. Should
I read it?
Speaker 2 (02:37):
Yes?
Speaker 1 (02:38):
Everyone listening to this right now? I want to read it.
Speaker 2 (02:42):
I feel so bad.
Speaker 1 (02:44):
Well, this is a good lesson. Go ahead, Creamer, it's
a good lesson for Mitchell. Go ahead.
Speaker 2 (02:51):
Should I not go for it?
Speaker 1 (02:53):
This is not fair. If I'm if I'm not us
and I'm listening to.
Speaker 2 (02:56):
Let me want to know, let me ask this.
Speaker 3 (02:58):
You're manage on that you were going on someone's podcast
and you were more than likely praying to God.
Speaker 2 (03:05):
He does not know that you messaged him. Would you
want him to read it?
Speaker 1 (03:10):
And you might?
Speaker 2 (03:11):
That's why I'm you might.
Speaker 1 (03:13):
I mean, I know, just I know I have DMed
in my single days and just like Alan DMed me
and everyone's like show the DM and like I was
showing the DM of Alan even though it was very sweet.
But yeah, he's gonna do this. I'm like, I think
I want to read it just because I think it's sweet. Okay, yes,
(03:33):
then there you go. And I think it brings up
if it was something that was like you're hot. I'd
be like, I'm not gonna I'm not gonna do that
to the day. Very fair, but I do. When I
read the message, I was like, he's sweet.
Speaker 2 (03:47):
Yeah, I'd agree with that.
Speaker 1 (03:48):
And I and in that, I want to pose a
question because of another news headline that's going around right now.
Oh my word, I feel so behind.
Speaker 2 (03:59):
And I tell you what she's talking about on that one.
Speaker 1 (04:01):
Okay, So was I thirty seven at the time? I
guess so, yeah, I was about to be thirty eight.
Oh wow, yeah, so thirty seven and twenty five just
a number. Okay. I like your math, Mitchell, keep on
reading Creamer. I like him already. I'm a follower of
(04:22):
the true King yep in Jesus name. And I don't
know why I'm reaching out to you tonight. Well we
know why, but we but we have both been through
the trenches. Girl, if you ever want to get dinner,
I live in mount and Juliet and would love to
meet you. God bless you, Janna, regardless, thank you for
(04:43):
being a light to our community and spreading the good news.
You're awesome. I would be sad if you didn't read that.
Speaker 2 (04:49):
I Lowe.
Speaker 1 (04:50):
So he's so sweet. And I almost look at it
and go, oh, like I wish I would have been
like your sweetheart, because that's a sweetheart message. Y like,
he's not she's a twenty five year old or whatever.
He's not being Yes that Sorry, I know I just
said that word, but that's just like good, I get
here so late, you're hot. And what's interesting too, is
(05:13):
so obviously Kristin Cavalary came out that she's dating that.
Who is he? He's a senior in college football player,
he's twenty. I think he's twenty five or some of the.
Speaker 2 (05:24):
Maybe younger, but here's I'm going to go with younger.
Speaker 1 (05:27):
Is he twenty four? I don't know. Maybe he's a
super senior twenty Maybe he's super super say okay, Hannah
just said twenty four. Either way, though, my point to
it is people would blink an eye if it was
a guy it was if it was opposite.
Speaker 2 (05:40):
Yep, I agree.
Speaker 1 (05:41):
So that's the point that bothers me where it's but
somehow it's frown like looked upon as you know, the
cougar era.
Speaker 2 (05:50):
Or it's so true.
Speaker 1 (05:53):
But having said that, I to Mitchell's point. He goes
thirty seven to twenty five is just a number. I
agree with that. Having said that, I still couldn't do
it right. So though I'm like, good aya, Kristin. You know,
I think that's awesome, and I hate that people are,
you know, if they were to say anything negative, because
I'm like, what's the difference. I've dated older guys that
were thirteen years older than me or like, who cares?
Speaker 3 (06:16):
Well, you've also dated younger before and seen how that
difference can come into play in relationships as well.
Speaker 1 (06:23):
I feel like, yeah, I mean three years, but even so, yes.
Speaker 2 (06:28):
Oh, the three is the biggest gap for younger than you.
Speaker 1 (06:30):
Yeah, oh wow, my first husband was five years younger.
It's substantial for some people. Yeah, and that's okay.
Speaker 2 (06:38):
Well, guy's kind of mature.
Speaker 1 (06:39):
I didn't think guy was young though I saw. I
honestly didn't even read into it. I just saw a
picture was at the top of my feet and I
didn't read. But he didn't. He didn't. I mean, he
looked cute, he didn't look young. Young to me, I
wouldn't have guessed. Yeah, And again I was like, good
on you, girl, you know what I mean, Like, good
on ya, Like, but I just know that when I
even when I read back to this message, I if anything,
(07:01):
I would have responded and said, oh, you're so sweet,
thank you so much, you know, good luck like i'm
and I would have felt too old. You can write
him a letter of recommendation. Yes, I'd have been like,
let me help you find your wife.
Speaker 4 (07:15):
You know what I mean?
Speaker 1 (07:16):
You know? Yeah, I would have like I would have
brothered him up, you know what I mean? Yeah, yeah, yeah,
So I thought it was really sweet, but then it
just made me think of the Kristen of Kristen and
her new boy. So because it really is just the number.
I just want a man, you know. That's where I
was like, that's why, like Alan is like he's a man,
(07:37):
He's I don't know. I don't think I could go
younger anymore.
Speaker 3 (07:42):
I yeah, well, and I just think that there's such
a good for Kristen. I don't care if she's happy
like I am.
Speaker 1 (07:49):
You don't care if.
Speaker 3 (07:51):
I don't care, If she's happy, that's all that matters.
Speaker 1 (07:54):
Look at who If she's happy, I hope she's And
now you're here, you right, you started stop giving a shit?
Speaker 3 (08:02):
Well forty, but if she's happy, that's all that matters.
Having said that take Kristin out of this equation. Yeah,
there's a big difference in being forty and thirty five
and forty and twenty four. And I don't I'm not
judging anyone that's doing it right, but that is a
maturity level, a life that you've lived, level of difference
(08:23):
that would be hard for me personally.
Speaker 1 (08:26):
Guy.
Speaker 2 (08:26):
I think either way.
Speaker 1 (08:27):
Right to get past well. And I think just going
back to Mitchell, who's you know, one of our farmers today,
I think my biggest my two questions from this is
he says he's been through the trenches. All right, give
me a trench, give me, give me a give me,
give me your literal trench. Not I want to see
what lamb mind. You stepped down out in your farm.
You know that that was hard. And then also and
(08:53):
then also these women are not thirty seven?
Speaker 2 (08:58):
Oh true?
Speaker 1 (09:00):
It a young rhyme, curious crop. There's gonna there's never
enough of these puns for me today, just the player
keeping it corny.
Speaker 3 (09:08):
Maybe I can't get an I'm ready, are there? Do
we know the ages of these women?
Speaker 1 (09:14):
There could be someone, I mean, come on, like twenties,
they're like young twenties.
Speaker 2 (09:18):
So he's probably what twenty eight now, twenty seventy.
Speaker 1 (09:21):
Eight if this was in twenty twenty one, twenty five,
So he's teacher, he's twenty seven. You don't have to
carry the one. He is twenty seven. We have it
right here was the remainder of So I'm just curious,
was it? And and and this is? This is this
(09:42):
is the how do I say this? This is the
jade inside me? Ready for it?
Speaker 2 (09:46):
Sure?
Speaker 1 (09:47):
Oh way bring it? He's now okay, So he reached
out to me. He's now on a TV show. Do
you want to be famous? Is that why you were
reaching out? Because you want it to be known? And
now you're on a TV show? Or are you really
(10:08):
looking for love? I don't think that sounds jaded. That
seems objective to me. But I'm also jaded.
Speaker 2 (10:13):
So I mean, I don't feel like I'm jaded. And
I absolutely wonder that question.
Speaker 3 (10:17):
I think you're on jaded and I like that about us,
but not in industry you are, well yeah, yeah, true,
But also like I think that you can be wanting
love and not go on these shows. You you know what
I mean, Like anyone that goes on these shows somewhat
wants that attention. I'm sorry any of these shows. Yeah,
(10:40):
Like I couldn't physically ever do that. I mean, y'all
know me. I could physically not go in front of
a camera ever and try to find love if I
was trying to find love. And there's certain people like that,
But there's certain people that could. So there is an
element to them that likes that attention and maybe that
fame all of them. Maybe I am very jaded, but
(11:02):
every single one that's not bad. No, I I would
say this. I also was on reality DV so I
don't know. That's like I was trying to find.
Speaker 1 (11:11):
A play for roads. There is and I don't.
Speaker 3 (11:13):
I don't mean that in a fact way, but there's
part of you that is could easily be in front
of people and be fine with that.
Speaker 1 (11:20):
Oh yeah, I would be in front of that. It
doesn't bother me. But I would say the dating world
seems ruthless to me. It does, so if there was
an opportunity for me. This is my very gracious side
of this. I'm going it's also because I've been on
a love is blind bender. I know you guys didn't
see that one coming and refuses to let me watch that.
I'm gonna need you to get him on this season.
I mean someone I'm making Saint Christine. It's funny because
(11:46):
presents like if we were in a pod, would we survive?
And I was like, we spend like twound nights a
year in a pod. Yeah, we would make it. That's
basically all we do. I feel like the gracious part
of me thinks if you had the ability to have
somebody on the back end, like kind of sift through
and eliminate and like qualify some actual women to bring
to you, I think that might be a really wonderful choice.
Speaker 2 (12:10):
Yeah, i'd agree with that.
Speaker 1 (12:11):
I agree, And I will just tell you this. I
really wanted to apply for the Real World, but I
didn't have a camera. So how are we just learning
about That's hilarious to make a tape. So there's that.
Speaker 3 (12:24):
Also, let me clarify, I meant the dating shows like
I could maybe do like a Real World or like
you would be sad, I could do something like that.
Speaker 2 (12:31):
I meant, if you were.
Speaker 1 (12:32):
You want to be queen and a young date, that's that, Kat,
you would be so good on those though I don't know.
Speaker 3 (12:46):
I've meant dating because that just sounds like you have
to be okay with attention to be able to date
on TV. I don't know, yeah, yeah yeah, and it's
no shade anyway.
Speaker 1 (13:01):
So that she wouldn't be that wouldn't go on The Bachelor.
Speaker 3 (13:04):
Never. I've never watched and I don't even like. I
don't like this. I mean I don't watch the show, yeah,
but literally never. I don't think there's any amount of
money that you could. I don't know how I am
like that.
Speaker 1 (13:16):
I think if I was in Michigan and still stayed
in Michigan, I probably would have found myself applying to
be on the back one. God, what a good season
that would be my character. That would be an incredible season.
It would be a really good I mean, you would
(13:37):
cry all the times.
Speaker 2 (13:40):
Is she crying again? Did she follow with that guy
and then that guy and the guy they don't know.
Speaker 1 (13:45):
Janna has a very production based brain, like a very
director brain, and like a good way. Like it's nothing.
She's moving pieces, asking questions, trying to get responses, which
is terrifying and amazing.
Speaker 3 (14:01):
If you have love, make sure there's gonna be no
pieces and it all goes out the window.
Speaker 2 (14:07):
I'm like, I know you have this part of you
in you, but when love comes to play.
Speaker 1 (14:11):
Anyways, they're here when we're ready. So should we bring
this up to Mitchell? Or because we've got me there
to Cobos and the other one doesn't follow me, so
he need never send me a message? Son? All right? Well,
by the way, I smell like yeah, I smell like
romans spit up all over me and I haven't had
time to change. It's like what stinks? Oh that's me?
(14:33):
So it's okay. I'm sweating. Would Mitchell want me then
you would?
Speaker 2 (14:38):
Probably?
Speaker 1 (14:39):
Alan was gonna come right through this riding shotgun is
John Deere tractor, I mean Kramer. He's got a good taste.
Let's take a break and we'll get back.
Speaker 5 (14:48):
All right, Hi, boys, how are you doing well?
Speaker 6 (15:07):
How are you doing?
Speaker 1 (15:08):
We're doing good. We got a farmer with the front
cap and a back hat. I like it.
Speaker 4 (15:12):
It's Mitchell's on backwards.
Speaker 6 (15:13):
I can't tell.
Speaker 4 (15:16):
Hey, how we doing? Farmer?
Speaker 1 (15:22):
Well, you guys, I.
Speaker 4 (15:22):
Have to tell you.
Speaker 1 (15:23):
I grew up in a predominantly farm town, Sleek, Michigan. Sleean,
Michigan's farm. We used to have drive your tractor to
school day in high school. I did not we did
in Saline, Michigan. Yeah, it's not like that anymore. It's
like Mini and Arburno. But it was predominantly four.
Speaker 2 (15:37):
Ah, you're not a farmer.
Speaker 1 (15:39):
I was like, well, there's a lot of fact checkers
just liveing in Michigan. They can tell me why from
Michigan a different area. GotY that. Sorryways, I feel like
I'm like back at home right now. It feels so cozy.
I'm like, hey, dudes, I really want you all to
get married. We have a lot of questions.
Speaker 6 (15:56):
Oh boy, that's good, good questions.
Speaker 1 (15:58):
One of you is local. So I'm like, if it doesn't,
if you didn't find love, we're on a mission to
help you.
Speaker 4 (16:03):
Oh thank you. Post show, I just got to ask
did Alan get the soccer ball off the roof?
Speaker 1 (16:10):
It's a really good question. I don't know it's I
think it's still on there, but it was really windy
last night, so I'm gonna have to check and I
will let you know. Mitchell, well, I mean, now, since
he brought it up, should we should we should we
ask Mitchell? Okay, so Brandon, we're gonna tell you a
little story. Mitchell is a part of the story and
then Mitchell probably wishes he wasn't a part of the
(16:31):
story in this moment. It's actually, okay, amazing, it's so
cute and gentlemen. Okay, So I was looking up you
guys right, we have not had the honor of watching
the show yet, We're going to watch it because now
we're all friends. And so I went on y'all's Instagram
and was just trying to do some research and I
was like, oh, Mitchell, I was like, he follows me,
(16:53):
and I was like, that's cute. I was like, well,
let me see if he ever messaged. And then I
saw the sweetest message that you sent me back in
twenty two anyone a man of opportunity? You are farmer, Mitchell.
Speaker 4 (17:04):
I got to shoot your thought.
Speaker 1 (17:07):
Well, I mean it was, and so I obviously read
the message and it was it's so sweet. But I'm
thinking now, I'm like, Okay, now you're on a show
with all these well, how how old are the girls
on the show?
Speaker 4 (17:20):
Anywhere from twenty two to twenty nine in my or
thirty in my range in my.
Speaker 1 (17:25):
Farm, So then in your farm, that's cute. So then
we're you just were like, what was your what was
your thought, like you like the older women or what.
Speaker 4 (17:35):
I've always clung to younger women because I'm a like
I am an old traditional soul, like you know, more
traditional on a dating aspect, but I'm Peter Pant like
I'm never going to grow up. I want to hang
out with people that are just you know, happy, go lucky,
loving life. And I guess you young.
Speaker 1 (17:52):
The gender wide epidemic. So so you thought it a
nice thirty seven year old divorce woman, was a kid
with two kids? Was a good Well I've been a movie.
Speaker 4 (18:01):
Do you think ever since you started doing it and
kept up? I think I followed you for like ten years.
Speaker 1 (18:05):
So yeah, oh you're so ea.
Speaker 4 (18:09):
I again to see you perform at the Soho House.
I'm friends with Harper Grace and I got invited to
the show and I was standing like right there. I
don't know if you remember, probably five ft in front
of you, but this was in the fall.
Speaker 1 (18:20):
You are so sweet. Well, okay, so you guys can't
tell us where you are in this journey now right
the show is ended, but you're probably so We're going
to watch alongside and probably discover although we do want
like a little we kind of want to know, like
blink twice if you found love. Oh, I can't, I
(18:41):
get so excited. Do you feel like it was so
One of the things I mentioned to the girls was
I felt like if I was a guy trying to
date in this world, if I was anybody trying to
date in this world, I would love somebody to kind
of vet people out from me. Like I was so lucky.
I found my husband at a bar, which sounds really good.
(19:02):
Lucky you. We're having a real fun yeah, I mean listen,
but I can't imagine like being on the apps and stuff,
like we all live vicariously through Jana when she was
on an app, and it was like, I just it's
like fun and crazy sometimes. But then also just like
I can't imagine. So did it feel like an opportunity
worth taking because you were able to like kind of
(19:24):
I keep using these farmer puns. I just can't get enough.
Today a crop of women brought to you that were
qualified to maybe like integrate into your life.
Speaker 6 (19:33):
You know, I think that that was probably a leading
factor for all of us that uh, you know, the
theory behind everything on this show is that they were
setting us up with women that were interested in the lifestyle.
Speaker 1 (19:47):
That we live because it's very unique and it's long hours.
Speaker 6 (19:51):
Correct, long hours, spontanuity. You know, some days you're going
to work sun up to sundown, but then there's days
where you're ahead of schedule and you get some time
off you can enjoy the time together. So I think
that's very influential in vetting these women that they understand
that lifestyle and are interested in sharing that lifestyle with us.
Speaker 1 (20:11):
Are you able to tell though, from the girls that
are saying they are just saying that versus the ones
that are maybe there for the wrong reasons?
Speaker 6 (20:19):
You know, I think that you eventually can see that,
But through the process of everything going on, there is
parts of it that are difficult because you know, you
live together, but you kind of are separated, so it
is hard to exactly see who somebody is behind closed doors.
You know, you don't spend twenty four to seven with them,
(20:41):
so that makes it kind of difficult to see it
because you can, I mean, the cameras come on and
you can kind of flip a switch and put on
a professional face and carry a different energy than maybe
the energy that these women carry when it's just the women.
Speaker 3 (20:54):
So do like the majority of these women, did they
grow up that way, grow up on farms, or they
not in that world? Try and interested in that world.
Speaker 4 (21:05):
I'd say majority of them are from city or right
outside the city. I was fortunate enough that I did
have at least one, maybe two girls that weren't directly
in the city, so that was already a bonus point
for me.
Speaker 3 (21:21):
I was about to say that was gonna be my
next question. Do you prefer someone who's kind of lived
this lifestyle, who's used to it, versus someone that's like, oh,
I'm gonna I can handle that, That's what I want
to do, but has never actually lived in a family
like that or a lifestyle like that.
Speaker 4 (21:36):
Right Personally, for me, I was hoping for a girl
that had at least some type of outdoor experience, not
necessarily farming experience. I'm a firm believer and you know,
the most improved player, So I was looking for a
girl that was at least willing to learn and wanted
this lifestyle that I already had built.
Speaker 1 (21:52):
Sure, well, I mean now I just feel like I'm
going to be super like now that you know, we
know you boys and Mitchell, we have a now a
deeper connection. I feel like I'm going to be kind
of the big ciss here, got it. I have to
feel like we have to approve of these women now.
Speaker 6 (22:08):
I would love that approval, Thank y'all, and then say
we might need that for sure because we're.
Speaker 1 (22:13):
Older and wise. I mean, we're in the forties club
here now, Like I'm not thirty seven anymore, Mitchell, Like,
I got another baby and I'm forty, so I'm officially
mom like best friend, big sis. Yeah, that feels good
and exactly how it should be life is that she
should have been able to vet them from the beginning.
I yeah, that's okay maybe and we're next next casting call?
Who yeah, okay. I would love to know. How do
(22:34):
your mama's feel about this process?
Speaker 4 (22:36):
So at first, you know, I'm the baby of three
boys and I am my mom's little baby. She's I
call it micromanaging, but she calls it protection. You know,
She's always looking out for me and just loves me
so much and wants me to uh. She always has
my best interests in the forefront of her mind. So
when she heard I was going on a dating show
(22:57):
that was nationwide, she was scared for a little, but
she didn't know that. You know, hey, I'm out of
the house now, it's really time for me to try
something like this because I haven't had the best luck
at love. But then once she found out that Jennifer
Nettles was the host, she was over there. You know,
I'm a big Jennifer Nettles fan as well. I sang
stuff like Glue and sixth grade Talent Show, so I
(23:18):
have also connection with her. And when I knew it
was Farmer Wants a Wife is just way more wholesome
and everything about it is really trying to get us
and these girls true connections. So I was fully on board.
And once my mom knew, you know, and I relate
the message to her that my heart was in this,
she fully supported me.
Speaker 1 (23:36):
Right, what about you, Brandon.
Speaker 6 (23:38):
You know I have a stronger relationship with my father
just because we do farm together. You'll see that if
you end up tuning in and watching that. And my
mom and sister actually live about five hours from where
I'm at.
Speaker 4 (23:53):
But she's supportive.
Speaker 6 (23:54):
I mean, she wants me to find somebody. And she
comes from farming back ground. Her parents farmed, her great
grandparents farmed, so she understands what the lifestyle is all about.
So I'm sure in her mind there's a little concern
that even though these women feel and think that, you know,
they could be part of this, it's a total different animal.
Speaker 1 (24:19):
Literally sometimes yeah, yes, But I'm just on a roll today, guys.
I'm like a totally different side note from the show
just farming in general. What do you think is the
(24:40):
worst thing that Americans are doing now when it relates
to farming and where the farming is heading?
Speaker 4 (24:47):
In my opinion, I'm just gonna say, GMOs.
Speaker 6 (24:50):
I mean, in my mind, you're taking away what is
a natural thing that you grow and take care of,
and now it's becoming a cash a cash grab, and
you're trying to produce the biggest, best, you know, crop
that you can to make money instead of just enjoying
part of what it is is just being a lifestyle,
(25:11):
you know, and it's not healthy. You're changing what those
plants are naturally supposed to do, and anytime you change
genetics like that, things feel a little weird.
Speaker 4 (25:22):
I think that it's crazy that the average age of
a cattle farmer, and that's what I'm trying to be
is about sixty years old now, so it's a dying
job and it's unfortunate. And what I've talked to with
the guys in my community, they've been doing it their
whole live. Their grandkids just don't have any interest in it,
you know, they want to play video games and stuff.
So my advice is get the kids off the tablets,
(25:43):
get them off the phone, and get them outdoors.
Speaker 1 (25:45):
That's right.
Speaker 2 (25:46):
I love that.
Speaker 1 (25:46):
I was going to ask you guys, is there a
way so I don't know, like, do you source to
like a larger supplier or is there websites that we
can like directly buy from you? Is there a like
we have found a cattle ranch, no offense that we
like to buy from in Texas, forty four Farms, and
they're incredible because we know the integrity and the guys
(26:07):
that work there, and so now that's we're flying our
meat in from there, which sounds bougie, but I like
to like keep good people in business, you know, So
is there a way that we can buy from y'all directly?
Or is this something where you guys just source to,
like a bigger supplier. How do we help you know?
Speaker 6 (26:23):
On my end of the spectrum, we're producing one hundred
thousand pounds of potatoes per year, and we're actually tied
into a packing warehouse. You know, there are farmer markets
and there are options to go buy locally and support
that way, but it just doesn't quite you know, cover
(26:44):
the amount of potatoes we actually produce. But our packing warehouse,
you know, covers clear from Florida, Alabama, Georgia, Texas into
Arizona as well as Mexico. So you can always keep
your eyes peeled for. We're called the Monovistic Potato Growers
(27:05):
and we're part of RPE, which is the Russet Potato Exchange.
So anytime you're buying a potato through those companies, you're
indirectly supporting my farm as well.
Speaker 1 (27:17):
I'm going to track my spuds. I'm like so passionate.
We're like farmers market people. That matters to me because
I've seen I've actually it was a dairy farm. I
grew up across from. Not the best smelling place to
grow up, you know, but like my dad used to say,
it smells like money. But it's like I just watch.
I mean, these guys would literally be out there and
(27:38):
when it was season, it was like there was corn
there was all the things like the tractor lights are
out there till like ten o'clock at night. Yep, that's exhausting.
Speaker 6 (27:46):
It's tedious hours, you know. And then the other crop
we produce is barley. So if you drink a little
beer on your free time and you're a miller Cores order,
you're essentially supporting farmers up here where I'm at as well,
myself included.
Speaker 4 (28:06):
So I just bought my farm in September in a
Mount Juliets, So I am truly getting integrated into it.
So I don't have my cattle yet, but I am
doing a garden this year, and we are going to
be at the Farmer's Market downtown, you know, fully organic,
no pesticides, no herbicides. We're going to be doing tomatoes, zucchini, squash, okra,
just your traditional vegetables, and also cut flowers. We're gonna
(28:28):
be doing sunflowers and have a stand by the road
where people can come by the farm and take pictures
and buy the cut flowers and as well as sell
them at the Farmer's Market downtown.
Speaker 2 (28:37):
Oh, downtown Nashville.
Speaker 1 (28:38):
Yeah, oh amazing. Can we come, of course?
Speaker 4 (28:41):
Yeah?
Speaker 1 (28:42):
Yeah, maybe you can teach me how to I have
the worst green thumb, Like I really want to have
a garden and but I can't. I mean, as you
can see, that tree is about as fake as I think.
Speaker 4 (28:53):
And Jays would love in Roman soon enough, they would
love the farm. They can come out and play.
Speaker 3 (28:59):
You're so wait, I'm a mount Juliet like every day,
So I'm gonna go check it out.
Speaker 2 (29:04):
Let me know offline where you are. I'll come see it.
Speaker 1 (29:06):
Blink twice if you're bringing your wife to Farmer's market.
Then you guys, did you guys confide like, are you two?
I mean, obviously you know you guys were on the
show together, But did you guys confide in each other
about the girls? And was there any kind of competitiveness
along with it at all?
Speaker 4 (29:23):
Or not really competitiveness? You know, we're not competing against
each other by an you know, we have our own
group of girls and we kept it that way. But
we definitely leaned on each other when it was time.
You know, Brandon is now truly one of my best friends.
Like he's such a genuine, amazing guy and every time
I get to talk to him or see his face
on a zoom call, it just makes me so happy.
(29:44):
So we definitely got to catch up at mixers. Each
week we go on different travel dates, and that was
time for the farmers to get together and sort of
I guess look back on how their week went and
we could talk about it to each other.
Speaker 1 (29:56):
I love that. That's so great. Well, boys, they thank
you so much for coming on. Thank you for what
you do too, because farming is so important and obviously
we want to be supporters as well, So thank you
for what you do. And then everyone please watch Farmer
Wants a Wife on Fox and see if these two
boys find the love that they so deserve.
Speaker 4 (30:17):
Thank you guys so much for I appreciate.
Speaker 1 (30:19):
You, appreciate you of course, Thank you brand. Thanks, good
bye bye guys, love sweet little souls. Does it just
feel like guys you grew up with one thousand percent?
That's why I love it. Yeah, so I'm just like
our dudes get in here, I know, just like the
good old boys. Yeah yeah, yeah, yeah, Oh.
Speaker 3 (30:41):
Sweet he's a little fan, Oh sweet guy to al
and get the soccer ball up the roof, like that's
so cute because if he didn't.
Speaker 1 (30:49):
He could.
Speaker 2 (30:52):
The wind got it and he didn't he's probably going
to be best.
Speaker 1 (30:55):
You know, I'm actually gonna go out and look after this,
So we're going to say that's very it was very Wendy.
All Right, guys, appreciate ch'all. It's been a pleasure to Alright,
I like you when you get real visual. Bye bye
bye
