You're so freaking funny, and you've killed it at our
live shows, Ladies and gentlemen, the People's Princess of New York.

Speaker 4 (03:05):
So I've heard thank you so much, thank you. Somebody

and we can absolutely get you that. And with us
today we have a first timer. I'm going to say
this is the ultimate rookie. Rookie because is this your
very first podcast.

Speaker 6 (03:28):
Ever podcast ever and kind of like piece of reality television.

Speaker 1 (03:34):
Ever.

Speaker 6 (03:34):
Wait what, I have fresh eyes and I've wait on
hard second.

Speaker 4 (03:40):
You grew up on Mars.

Speaker 2 (03:41):
Wait, wait a minute, you've never seen any reality time like.

Speaker 7 (03:45):
Such a scripted person. But maybe I think this is
the start of something new for me.

Speaker 1 (03:50):
Okay, can we just say this is the purity, This
is the holy Grail of rookies, This is who we've
This is like the arc of the Covenant of rookies.
I'm going to call you the rookie rookie, like the
bit like the purest rookie of all. She is a
brilliant writer, a brilliant filmmaker. You can see her her shorts,

(04:13):
tank top and transactions, and she's such and she helped
work on the show that I just did for Netflix, Freebert,
and her shorts were so good that I was going
to start writing a movie and she threw her name
into the hat. She's like, can I write it with you?
And I was like, I don't know, Let's send me
the things. And I look and she to me is

(04:35):
this is the next Greta Gerwig.

Speaker 2 (04:37):
You've heard it here first.

Speaker 1 (04:38):
We're writing.

Speaker 2 (04:38):
We're writing a movie together that she's.

Speaker 1 (04:41):
Going to direct, and I'm going to star in and
Ruby Cruise is going to be in it, and we're
gonna also have Lee lu Lang, who's going to play
my daughter on free Bert and she doesn't know it yet,
but Natalie Palomidis is going to be in it, and
Doctor Banana's going to help produce it. Lady and gentlemen,

(05:01):
The rookie of all rookies, Clara Nevin my new writing partners.

Speaker 2 (05:07):
Hi, Clara, welcome to the show.

Speaker 7 (05:08):
Thank you so much for having me.

Speaker 1 (05:09):
How do you feel going into your first podcast? Do
you have any feelings you want to leave?

Speaker 6 (05:13):
Because I really so excited because you make everybody feel
so at home un comfortable.

Speaker 2 (05:17):
Thanks Clara.

Speaker 7 (05:18):
I am the rookie of all rookies. That's anything.

Speaker 2 (05:20):
No, that's so you don't need to know anything.

Speaker 1 (05:22):
I'll guide you.

Speaker 2 (05:22):
You're great. Everyone is equal here.

Speaker 1 (05:24):
All you have to do is to watch the episode
and have thoughts about it.

Speaker 4 (05:27):
I would say the only thing you need to know
going into reality TV is everything that happens and.

Speaker 2 (05:34):
Of course the woman.

Speaker 1 (05:35):
Oh I also should note Clara Joy know we've been
talking about this for a couple of weeks.

Speaker 2 (05:41):
The woman.

Speaker 1 (05:41):
First of all, I had a slumber a slumby Pee
with her. I got off the Red Eye and I
climbed right into bed, as you do with your producer,
because that's when you're professional. That's what HR likes to
hear that you get right in bed. You go give
me your sweatpants.

Speaker 2 (05:57):
I'm not on zipping this bag.

Speaker 1 (05:58):
You put on your producer's clothes, you get into bed
with her and her dog that's also in pajamas. So
me and okay, first, I'm going to introduce you the
wind beneath My Wings director Hannah Montana, Arianna Rosanna, Rosanna,
Dana Mitten's Maoin Rose, me A Sheen Levine Marine, Meo Mareene.

Speaker 2 (06:17):
Welcome to the program, doctor Banana.

Speaker 5 (06:19):
Thank you. It was so great when you married Charlie Sheen.

Speaker 2 (06:23):
When I married Charlie Sheen, I'm Sheen Marine right now.

Speaker 8 (06:26):
I'm just to get the hyphen artist shementary.

Speaker 1 (06:31):
You know what, I just felt like Denise put in
the hard work. We just had that quickie Vegas wedding.
But but I felt very welcome to Denise made me
a sandwich because she she made me your white trash samdpit.

Speaker 5 (06:42):
Of course, because she doesn't discriminate.

Speaker 2 (06:45):
She doesn't discriminate.

Speaker 1 (06:46):
Shout out Denise, shout out my ex husband, Charlie Sheen.

Speaker 2 (06:50):
I am Ard and Sheen Marine.

Speaker 1 (06:51):
But I want to say to the people following alone,
because half of this podcast is not about the Bachelor.
For our life, shenanograms we've been talking about when I
got invited to this Keanu Reeves movie, and so we
decided to make it because we couldn't go to Dollywood.
And of course again we're sorry we couldn't crush the
wedding in Nashville. We are sorry we couldn't go to Dollywood.

(07:13):
We decided to do a kiano festiva caiano would So
Monday night, Clara and Banana and I went to see
a Good Fortune and we saw Keanu Reeves and then
we went the next night to Waiting.

Speaker 2 (07:26):
The next night waiting for Goodo.

Speaker 1 (07:28):
It was a piano kiano, So me and Clara and
Anna all met and we had our kiano festival. And Clara,
I'm gonna let you speak freely.

Speaker 7 (07:35):
First about just my reflections.

Speaker 2 (07:38):
On it, yeah, and Kiano all of it.

Speaker 6 (07:39):
I mean, Keano's amazing the way he throws himself into anything,
and just at this stage in his career, him choosing
to do Waiting for GOODO. And just like he left
everything on the stage. I absolutely loved it. Would say
I liked the play more than I like the movie. Yes,
because it's just a great piece of work. I think
particularly all of us felt like Act two was a
strong act.

Speaker 1 (07:59):
Who was iconic and to see him throw himself in
so he's so.

Speaker 7 (08:03):
Adorable, so adorable.

Speaker 1 (08:05):
It was asual. Just let listeners know fresh perspective. Claire's
twenty five years old.

Speaker 7 (08:09):
Yeah, you know, no way, I'm a child.

Speaker 2 (08:11):
She's twenty five, Just so you know.

Speaker 4 (08:12):
I would have said twenty six, yeah, I'm closed, two
months away.

Speaker 2 (08:15):
I would have said twenty three. Oh my god, thank
you you're welcome.

Speaker 1 (08:19):
Okay, Banana, what did you think of Kiano Fast? How'd
you feel about Cano?

Speaker 5 (08:22):
First of all, Keanu is such okay. I know he
gets a lot of heat for his acting. He's been
called cardboard in the past.

Speaker 1 (08:28):
He's all we could do no wrong.

Speaker 5 (08:30):
But I think he I think he has really found
his niche, which is like literally Keanu style acting. Yeah,
but I will say and Waiting for GOODO, Yeah, incredible work.
He had him and Alex winter Bill and Ted brought
it in a way that.

Speaker 7 (08:47):
Their friend job on the stage.

Speaker 1 (08:49):
Yeah.

Speaker 5 (08:49):
Also, Alex Winter had some moments where I was like,
now that is an actual.

Speaker 7 (08:53):
I felt that too.

Speaker 2 (08:55):
Alex Winder has some real humanity.

Speaker 4 (08:57):
I think this is a big opportunity for Alex Winder. Yeah,
I don't you really do starring on Broadway, the big,
big production like that? Yeah, you're like in the whole show?

Speaker 5 (09:05):
Come are you Lloyd production? Are you kidding me?

Speaker 2 (09:07):
Are you a Kiano fan?

Speaker 4 (09:09):
Yeah? Yeah?

Speaker 2 (09:09):
You want if we continue? Do you want to go out?

Speaker 1 (09:11):
If there's a third outing, do you want to join?
Do you want to get looped into the she can.

Speaker 7 (09:16):
Love to you, kiddy?

Speaker 4 (09:17):
I'm trying to think what else there's you don't know,
you don't know what you've done.

Speaker 1 (09:21):
It doesn't have to be two days in a row.
It could be like it could be in a year.
But if if there's something that comes up, Kianofest twenty
twenty six, would you join us on the Cano Fest?
What's your favorite piece of kano.

Speaker 4 (09:34):
Oh River's Edge?

Speaker 7 (09:36):
Oh dark?

Speaker 5 (09:38):
Yeah?

Speaker 4 (09:38):
Did you young?

Speaker 7 (09:39):
I don't know?

Speaker 1 (09:40):
Okay, may I recommend for you Ione Sky's book that
just came out, say everything incredible, right and she's in
River's Edge. Incredible iconic piece of the nineties killing it
John Cusack Keanu River, like all of the thing, basically.

Speaker 4 (09:59):
Small town end up. It's one of them kills a
girl by accident and they have to figure out what
to do about it.

Speaker 7 (10:04):
It's pretty I mean yeah, and let me tell you.

Speaker 5 (10:07):
It's at a river edge.

Speaker 1 (10:09):
And it's cold, yes, and it's not brightly lit. No,
it's actually great, grudge, it's pretty great.

Speaker 5 (10:15):
It's great River Phoenix, Man, what I hot?

Speaker 1 (10:19):
He such a crush.

Speaker 4 (10:21):
The guy who steals it is Crispin Glover steals that.

Speaker 2 (10:24):
By the way, that Michael J.

Speaker 1 (10:25):
Fox was just coming out in his book saying that
Crispin Glover had to literally had to rain him in
during the filming of because he he wanted to be free,
he wanted to move around.

Speaker 4 (10:37):
Okay, now that when movies were in black and white. Yes,
we'll explain all this later.

Speaker 1 (10:42):
Yeah, Okay, here we go, well rookie, okay, but but
but and yet the purest of us all because here's
this twenty five year old who has.

Speaker 2 (10:49):
Not seen any reality. We are garbage.

Speaker 4 (10:52):
Adults and clar you watch when you're a kid. I
understand that's all there was there.

Speaker 7 (10:57):
What did I watch?

Speaker 6 (10:57):
I watched a lot of movies. Yeah, it was like
my family's were movie family.

Speaker 1 (11:02):
You need to know about Clara, And I feel incredibly
I was thinking about you driving.

Speaker 2 (11:05):
Here, Clara.

Speaker 1 (11:08):
Clara, Clara came from Again, I don't know her that well,
but getting to know her, she presents that she flew
into the world fully formed and that she was in
an environment at a moment in her life where she
could have let that like like take her down because
she was different than some of the kids that she
was around, but that she somehow had enough protection around

(11:31):
her or sense of self enough that she weathered it.
And I feel like that's all going into her work. Yes,
because she wasn't a basic bee. She was not a
basic bee, and she sort of like was able to
maintain her sense of self enough that she which I
like just I don't know.

Speaker 7 (11:49):
I think great parents. My mom is awesome.

Speaker 2 (11:52):
Yeah, same, Yeah, you need a good mom.

Speaker 1 (11:54):
Do you have a good mom? Say you have a complication?

Speaker 2 (11:57):
I met your mom.

Speaker 1 (11:57):
Know you're a great complicated dead sort of that's right?
We always Oh god, no, your mom? Can I just
say sess mom? My mom was a part of our
podcast here JJ Shadow JJ Rest in Heaven Queen, Rest
in the Stars Queen your mom also a JJ iconic.
She would go do all year.

Speaker 2 (12:18):
She would be on stage yes week.

Speaker 4 (12:19):
I did a weekly show for a long time and
she was in it every week. Yeah, a star, like
fourteen years.

Speaker 1 (12:25):
Yeah, I star a star.

Speaker 4 (12:28):
Yeah, she really was a thing.

Speaker 7 (12:30):
That's amazing.

Speaker 1 (12:30):
No, and I've seen you. I've seen videos of you.
When I saw the video I did your Halloween show
last year?

Speaker 5 (12:37):
You did?

Speaker 1 (12:37):
And you did that. You showed the video of your
bar mitzvah.

Speaker 4 (12:41):
Oh you probably did.

Speaker 2 (12:42):
And you were dancing, You're performing?

Speaker 1 (12:44):
Would you perform what was it?

Speaker 4 (12:46):
Pennies from heaven?

Speaker 1 (12:47):
Yh?

Speaker 7 (12:47):
My god? Did you the theme you were?

Speaker 4 (12:49):
The theme was You're lucky We're doing this?

Speaker 1 (12:51):
Did you did you? Did you want a stage door manner?
You darling? Your darling?

Speaker 5 (12:57):
Darling?

Speaker 1 (12:58):
Did you love it?

Speaker 4 (12:59):
Of course? I'm like still my friends from here on,
my kid?

Speaker 2 (13:02):
Did you love Did you love the movie theater sage?

Speaker 1 (13:06):
I did same same pedantically put that put that.

Speaker 2 (13:09):
In your pipe? Oh yeah, put that in your pipe?

Speaker 6 (13:11):
Ye?

Speaker 1 (13:11):
Okay, yes, no, No, I felt very connected and protective
of you watching that. I related to you. We would
have been friends. Yeah, and we would have been friends.
And Banana is always my guiding light. Well, let's get
to it, because there's a there's a white woman with
paint care who's a shaman waiting.

Speaker 5 (13:29):
For us to go.

Speaker 1 (13:30):
You can't could they ever bust out.

Speaker 2 (13:32):
And not white woman? Shama.

Speaker 5 (13:36):
I saw her, I was like, I could do that.

Speaker 1 (13:38):
My mom my mom, literally, my mother has a real
and like a fun print could have come on like
Tory Bird, but like I'm a shaman.

Speaker 5 (13:48):
She was just like, think about that, now, hold on
to that is once.

Speaker 7 (13:52):
Take a Pello Santo and like a like this burden mud.

Speaker 4 (13:57):
They're going to be a show called America's Next Top Shawman.
That's why I want that show. I want way women
right now?

Speaker 1 (14:05):
Why woman named Joan next to you right that does
the title mark is done here?

Speaker 2 (14:14):
Well, what do you want to promote? That's our episode?

Speaker 1 (14:16):
Okay, So we hear there's a preview of this episode
where we hear the opening scene is the cold open,
moaning is heard through the fields. We are oh my god,
I've never done this before.

Speaker 2 (14:28):
Whoo, I can't even do this?

Speaker 1 (14:29):
Oh my god, no, no, no, no, no no.

Speaker 2 (14:31):
No, I can't even do this. I can't even do this.

Speaker 1 (14:34):
And then the bike racer lady we think is blowing
her chances. We think she's being really uncool and like
but like and kind of up tight. But they always
fucked people over in the cold opening, Banana, What did
you think of the cold Opening? I did think it
was fun to and I want to say I've come
around on our lead. I've just decided to give in

(14:54):
and like him because it's more fun than hating him.

Speaker 5 (14:56):
Well, after you see his like body in a tub
of mud, I was like, and that's all I need.

Speaker 1 (15:02):
Did you like him a little bit more?

Speaker 5 (15:04):
Not? Really? I do think he's like very emotionless and weird.

Speaker 1 (15:08):
I did appreciate that as a sixty six year old
white man he gave into like like the woom that
he wasn't My dad would have been way more like
snarky about it.

Speaker 5 (15:20):
It was. It was pretty generic. Wo Yeah, like they
didn't push too hard. Color Shaman. Okay, say that he
is a.

Speaker 6 (15:29):
Mel is an NFL player, an NFL player, I'm going
to tell you the fact that I'm going to rock
your world.

Speaker 5 (15:35):
I'm going to rock your c Yeah.

Speaker 1 (15:38):
Guess what here's a fact about mel His dad is black.

Speaker 4 (15:43):
What, yes, I know. Yeah, that is incredible stuff we learned.

Speaker 5 (15:48):
And they let me tell you. They go by it
so quickly that you have to go.

Speaker 1 (15:51):
Wait what, I just need you to know that.

Speaker 5 (15:54):
I too, I was like, wait, I just wanted to know.

Speaker 1 (15:58):
That in as a fact about because you look at
him and you think problematic, white, white Orange County lawyer,
which she.

Speaker 2 (16:05):
Seems to be.

Speaker 7 (16:06):
But there's more beneath the sartin.

Speaker 1 (16:08):
So yeah, so he is a football player. So here
we are, we here the morning and then we're at
the Manson and we see Peg. I love Peg. So Peg,
stand back, her hair, her hair. Now you missed her
opening getting out of the limbo. Will you describe what
she did getting out of the limb was because she
was the bomb.

Speaker 5 (16:28):
And stand back.

Speaker 1 (16:30):
And then the bomb didn't go off and I had
to keep sending a pace to relight it.

Speaker 2 (16:33):
And they're like back to.

Speaker 7 (16:34):
One, Oh my god, in her full bomb.

Speaker 1 (16:36):
Squad, Andre we go stand back, Yeah, I didn't go
off again. And then she's got these giant mongo like
l lighton tatas coming out of hot fun. I love Peg.

Speaker 4 (16:48):
It was like a scene from the hurt Locker.

Speaker 7 (16:50):
Yes, is that the most interesting job this season?

Speaker 1 (16:54):
Oh, of any season ever?

Speaker 6 (16:55):
Yeah, and Sindy's a retired biomedical engineer.

Speaker 4 (17:00):
Late, that's what it says in the Chiron Jenny.

Speaker 2 (17:04):
Cindy Cindy's I love Peg.

Speaker 5 (17:06):
I love Catherine Haun character in my mind.

Speaker 4 (17:09):
Oh yeah, yes, always seems like she's about to cry
always on the verse, you know.

Speaker 1 (17:13):
And I'm going to say, the self eliminating manager of Carol,
she's slightly She to me is a little bit of
a Coolidge character.

Speaker 7 (17:23):
She the one that said that her dad does all
her finances.

Speaker 6 (17:26):
No, I didn't like theirs, like.

Speaker 4 (17:32):
Your dad is your You have a living parent?

Speaker 1 (17:36):
Yes, that's what I thought. How do you have a
living there? Although our Bachelor, our Golden Bee last year
had living parents.

Speaker 4 (17:45):
That's true.

Speaker 1 (17:46):
And that's when Jim Jeffrey said, he that, he goes,
we want the pair. He's like, you can't have a
living parent, then we need the Golden Golden, the Golden Golden.

Speaker 2 (17:55):
We don't want the You have.

Speaker 4 (17:56):
To be the sorry, yeah, the oldest person in your
family has to be on the show. Yes, exactly, to
be the second oldest.

Speaker 1 (18:04):
No, no, no, no, no, no, no, okay, overall sex, yes,
How do you feel about this season?

Speaker 2 (18:10):
The women are pretty great?

Speaker 4 (18:11):
The women are very interesting. Do I am I crazy?
Does it feel truncated? It's been four episodes and we're
already at the end. It's like, what happened to the show?

Speaker 2 (18:20):
I'll tell you what happened to the show.

Speaker 1 (18:21):
They fucked up with Gary because he was he was
like a white collar criminal, and then they fucked up
with Joan, who was grieving formally married. Remember when Joan
was grieving the loss of her dead husband and she
wasn't you, She wasn't ready to be and then she's like,
nobody compares to John. And then it turned out that
John was a white collar criminal. Who was she always said?
In every Hawk, She's like I saw a hawk.

Speaker 2 (18:41):
It was done.

Speaker 1 (18:42):
He was a white collar criminal that was busy laundering
money into titty clubs around the Greater GC area.

Speaker 4 (18:48):
Eventually, when you get to a certain age, everybody does it.

Speaker 1 (18:51):
Yeah, be a white collar criminal.

Speaker 5 (18:53):
You have to money launder and be like should I
open a strip club with my buddy Steve.

Speaker 2 (19:00):
For politicians and like around the Greater DC.

Speaker 4 (19:05):
I think the season is interesting, Yeah, I liked it.
It's short.

Speaker 1 (19:08):
Same. I like that the episodes are like ten minutes
long now they are they're like normally they're like seven
hour tome so like, yeah, we can talk more because
they're like two minutes long.

Speaker 4 (19:18):
Are they keeping it short because mel has no idea
how to carry a conversation, probably, and they keep the
conversation short because I've never seen a bachelor and a
lot of the bachelors are bosos. Yeah, he's like it
seems like a nice guy who doesn't know how to
talk to people.

Speaker 1 (19:32):
Yes, I think he's a very tall, handsome he's just
as Brendan Smith on our podcast put Out. He was
an actual real successful NF at nflah. He played for
like eight years. He coached Michigan. He is a lawyer,
so he's a guy who got girls, is tall, is rich,
and has probably never had to do much to get much.

Speaker 5 (19:53):
But also he's a guy dad guy talking because Gary
Jerry whatever his name was, was a girl dad. So
you actually have to talk to your daughters. You don't
have to talk to your sons, true, girl, Like you
can ask my dad how much he knows about my
brother and my dad be like he exists. He knows
all my goddamn problems.

Speaker 1 (20:10):
Yeah, I think I'm obsessed with your dad. But do
you think your dad Anna's dad and his best friend dress.
They match every day, They dress identically every day.

Speaker 4 (20:21):
They live near each other.

Speaker 5 (20:22):
Yea?

Speaker 1 (20:23):
And did they called? How does that?

Speaker 5 (20:25):
They talk all the time?

Speaker 1 (20:26):
Do they decide okay, we're doing maroons?

Speaker 5 (20:27):
No, they just they just started the same person. So
they just.

Speaker 7 (20:32):
Language just like they have.

Speaker 5 (20:33):
Like a twin language. They also look a lot like.

Speaker 2 (20:35):
Do they shop together?

Speaker 5 (20:37):
And I'm sure they have.

Speaker 1 (20:39):
Her dad loves a wedding, He loves to dance, he
loves a party. He is the most festive guy. And
he keeps it at it yeah right, yeah, yeah, and
too much. And her mom was like, okay, go have fun.

Speaker 5 (20:53):
And my mom is not interested. My mom is fully
checked out of that whole good for her of their
own life.

Speaker 1 (21:00):
Eventually, a star a star turn on both I'm both
Rosney parents.

Speaker 5 (21:05):
My mom's not a host.

Speaker 1 (21:06):
She would never She didn't take assame.

Speaker 5 (21:08):
My mom does not take lass.

Speaker 4 (21:09):
What's her last name?

Speaker 5 (21:10):
Back?

Speaker 1 (21:11):
Okay?

Speaker 5 (21:11):
Hot, She does not take.

Speaker 1 (21:13):
Christine didn't take because she couldn't be Christine Murray.

Speaker 5 (21:16):
Apparently none of the women in my mom said, she
told me, she said, we don't take men's last names.

Speaker 4 (21:21):
Telling me she's seventeen centuries not taking a.

Speaker 5 (21:24):
Man like we don't take last names.

Speaker 2 (21:27):
I remember that I only took Stark like eventually.

Speaker 4 (21:30):
At some point they did.

Speaker 5 (21:32):
I don't know.

Speaker 4 (21:32):
I mean, Boback came from something.

Speaker 5 (21:35):
Boback came from her father, but like her mother did
not take Okay, the last name of her father.

Speaker 7 (21:42):
Where is back from?

Speaker 5 (21:44):
Bar Back is like a barback was the name of
like a Iranian king, like.

Speaker 7 (21:48):
Years or both your parents are on?

Speaker 5 (21:51):
Yeah? Cool, yeah, but we don't take last names. So
I'll never ever not be a host Nan.

Speaker 2 (21:57):
But you're a Rosney machine, Marie. I am we get wed.

Speaker 5 (22:02):
Yeah, I have like eight last names, but I will
never take the man's last.

Speaker 2 (22:05):
No, no, not not obviously. Okay.

Speaker 1 (22:09):
So here we are so PEG.

Speaker 6 (22:12):
So she's a bomb diffuser and she rides a unit
cycle that was crazy. When she came in, I was,
oh my god, I loved it. The course ran, the
course that I.

Speaker 2 (22:22):
Loved, the woman working out with the giant like huge balls.

Speaker 4 (22:25):
By the poor The women are hot yeah, yeah, hot, yeah,
I know, despite the fact that Gary said he wouldn't
date any of them because they're all too too old
for they really.

Speaker 1 (22:35):
Gary, Oh no, sorry, now, yeah, I know they're so hot.

Speaker 4 (22:39):
They're great, they're great girls.

Speaker 5 (22:40):
I know.

Speaker 2 (22:41):
He was I would only date forty to fifty five
year olds.

Speaker 5 (22:43):
I'm like, you were married to a forty fifty five
year old that didn't work out?

Speaker 1 (22:46):
Didn't Why do you talk to somebody who knows your references?

Speaker 4 (22:49):
As am I nuts? But I feel like when it
comes to the shaman, like it was maybe his idea
because she felt like that, Yes, I felt his idea
because he's trying to be more centered because be like
he probably has an anger isshue.

Speaker 1 (23:02):
He would say, was I want to remove my friction.
I was like, oh, you mean your temper. You've got
a short fee. He used the words friction, but it
meant like your ct CT.

Speaker 4 (23:14):
That was the vibe.

Speaker 5 (23:17):
I just about day one when he was like, and
I was a charger and then now I have to
wear these weird shoes. It's like.

Speaker 4 (23:24):
Matter, I mean, no matter what if you're in playing
football for that many years, yes you're messed up. You're buying.

Speaker 7 (23:29):
Yeah, it's so much fun sports you play.

Speaker 4 (23:33):
I played the radio.

Speaker 1 (23:35):
Clara also plays tennis.

Speaker 6 (23:38):
Yeah, I played tennis and I'm a runner. Yeah, okay,
you you got to play with.

Speaker 2 (23:42):
Me and Banana.

Speaker 7 (23:42):
I would love to.

Speaker 2 (23:44):
I'll bring my racket in the spring, please, park.

Speaker 1 (23:47):
Or we can go indoor at my Karen Park.

Speaker 6 (23:49):
That's true, it's so hard to play tennis in New York.

Speaker 1 (23:52):
Karen Park.

Speaker 7 (23:53):
Yeah, we'll figure out, Karen.

Speaker 5 (23:54):
We got a book, prospects a little easier, brother.

Speaker 2 (23:57):
Grade four grade four grade.

Speaker 1 (23:59):
We have to go. You got to go to Union
Square to get the the the permit to play at
the parks. I'm ready to live back in New York again.

Speaker 7 (24:08):
I know you're moving.

Speaker 2 (24:09):
Twenty twenty twenty six. I wrote a musical. I've been
taking meetings about it.

Speaker 4 (24:13):
Okay, what's it called Space Cowgirl? I love it already,
thank you, it's happening.

Speaker 1 (24:18):
It's happening. I'll play you guys a song later. Okay.
So then Carol, Carol, she's she's cooling off and this
is this is when she started.

Speaker 2 (24:28):
I mean, she's gorgeous. Carol's a queen and.

Speaker 1 (24:30):
She is Freddie Who's assistant, Freddie Freeman's assistant.

Speaker 2 (24:34):
No, his like family mad family manager because it's his nephew.

Speaker 1 (24:38):
Yeah, okay, and so she's his aunt, and so she's
cooling off and she this is what she's like, I'm
not ready for her hometown. I just so I don't know, Cindy.
I just feel like that's what. I was like, Oh,
you're cool, and she's like, and Cindy was comforting her.
She's like, I just don't feel comfortable. I haven't had
a one on one day. I think I could bring
him home.

Speaker 2 (24:56):
Yet I honestly so.

Speaker 1 (24:58):
Last week Paul Dankey was saying he felt like he
felt like Carol had some gamesmanship. I wonder if she
came on, if ABC already was like, look, we want
you to be the Bachelorette, you just have to make
it to like kind of fart. I feel like they
want to get Freddy Freeman on camera. She's gorgeous. You
get to play enough to look like you're in. But like,

(25:18):
I think she was poised from the get go to
be the.

Speaker 4 (25:21):
Bachelorette, and randomly but she bowed out with no reasoning.
It seemed like one second she was like, I really
want to do this, I'm really nervous for him, and
then like five seconds she's like I'm going to bail.

Speaker 1 (25:31):
I wantte.

Speaker 4 (25:33):
There was no logic to it unless I miss him.

Speaker 7 (25:35):
I agree, I think bachelorette.

Speaker 1 (25:37):
I think that maybe.

Speaker 5 (25:38):
Yes, I definitely think she probably will be.

Speaker 4 (25:40):
But I also think she who specifically pitched it, Yeah,
an idiot, I thought.

Speaker 1 (25:45):
What an idiot?

Speaker 5 (25:46):
Maybe she realized that Mel wasn't worthy of like the
Freddie fan Freeman family. But she was like, you know what, Actually,
now that I'm realizing it, you're not it. So I'm
not even gonna bother breaking Yeah.

Speaker 7 (25:57):
Yeah, when she was like, wait.

Speaker 5 (25:59):
A second, do you know what I am? You're not
gonna give me one on one? You cut?

Speaker 7 (26:05):
I kind of like that.

Speaker 1 (26:06):
I like myself enough like that if somebody didn't give
me a one on one, but they were going to
go meet, you're gonna meet. Get out of here. If
I'm here and you.

Speaker 7 (26:19):
Don't see me enough, he's out here.

Speaker 1 (26:22):
You're not going to meet Mittens without a one on one.

Speaker 4 (26:26):
No, you're I don't feel like anyone should have a
hometown without one one agree?

Speaker 5 (26:29):
I agree?

Speaker 1 (26:30):
Crazy, No, No, I think you should have enough self
respect to be like, if you don't like me enough
to have chosen time alone with me, I'm leaving, Yeah,
get out of here.

Speaker 6 (26:39):
From a rookie perspective, it does seem really crazy that
you wouldn't.

Speaker 7 (26:42):
You got to get to know someone first, that's right.

Speaker 6 (26:44):
And so that so okay, tell me what's what happens
next is that they literally they go.

Speaker 1 (26:48):
To take now normally on the big real one.

Speaker 4 (26:51):
I love that you're an alien pretending to be human.
So these boxes are getting up and down.

Speaker 1 (26:59):
Literally, but I literally like, like this force came through
on that.

Speaker 2 (27:04):
She's like, I want to pitch myself. I was like, okay,
and I was like, but.

Speaker 7 (27:09):
No, but I have to do.

Speaker 1 (27:10):
But I liked it. I liked it, and it's like
doesn't she shine through? Of course she's a standout. I
feel like one of your twins is going to be Clara.
Do you do.

Speaker 4 (27:20):
You know what Kieren is really?

Speaker 7 (27:23):
You know, they're both.

Speaker 1 (27:24):
Karen is the one that shadow girl, shoutout girl.

Speaker 2 (27:28):
She's the one that I know.

Speaker 1 (27:29):
She's the one that said there's there's a truth that
somewhere in the middle. That's the one that's going to
be Clara. Yeah, Gandalf like a young female, a wise one.

Speaker 4 (27:38):
She's super wise and very focused and she won't stop
until she finishes whatever she's doing.

Speaker 1 (27:44):
That's this person. Okay, great, okay, great, we love her,
we love it, we're here. We except we just say like,
do the do the most version of you? Doesn't keep
doing you the enns degree, just go for it, Okay.
So then so she's calling calling off and and they're like,
there's gonna be only three hometowns. Normally there's four. So
they go meet the fans.

Speaker 7 (28:05):
Why only three? Because somebody bout.

Speaker 2 (28:06):
Out no, because there's a truncated season.

Speaker 7 (28:08):
Why and so why is that golden?

Speaker 5 (28:10):
They always do only three?

Speaker 3 (28:11):
You know what?

Speaker 5 (28:12):
The old people can't.

Speaker 1 (28:13):
And it's I also think they get tired. I also
think there's less episodes and they probably don't want old
people having three fantasy suits.

Speaker 2 (28:21):
That's because normally you get three.

Speaker 1 (28:23):
They can the main leads can get at it with
three people overnight in a hotel. So you do four people,
you meet the families, three people go get fantasy.

Speaker 2 (28:34):
When you get fantasy, will.

Speaker 1 (28:37):
You describe it?

Speaker 4 (28:39):
Fantasy suite is a very family friendly a way to say,
we let them alone in a hotel room all night.

Speaker 6 (28:46):
Wow, and and no cameras.

Speaker 1 (28:49):
Sometimes here like ah audio you'll do an audio.

Speaker 4 (28:53):
That's why I thought it was funny. He was like,
the one thing I will work on is no friction.
I was like, don't say that before fantasies. Oh my god.

Speaker 1 (29:01):
So normally there's three and but with the older people,
I think they think that America only wants to see two.

Speaker 4 (29:10):
I don't wants to imagine him having sex with three different.

Speaker 1 (29:13):
And then the last, and then the last, then the last.
The last bachelorette lead good. I mean, God bless her.
She was the wrong person to pick, and I'm glad
that we like, she just wasn't ready.

Speaker 2 (29:27):
She didn't want to.

Speaker 5 (29:28):
Be it, but she was, so she is still with Chalk.

Speaker 2 (29:32):
She picked a man named Chalk.

Speaker 4 (29:33):
C h O C kay right chowk. I forgot about chocolate.

Speaker 7 (29:39):
And she's a widow.

Speaker 1 (29:40):
She's a widow and she wasn't ready.

Speaker 7 (29:44):
How did that happened?

Speaker 1 (29:45):
Because she was the prettiest youngest one, so they should
have picked a beautiful seven year old, but they picked
a hot sixty year old who who self eliminated because
she wasn't ready.

Speaker 5 (29:56):
Because her daughter had like postpartum issues, which is like,
maybe you shouldn't have gone on this sho to begin with,
if your daughter was having a postpartu.

Speaker 1 (30:02):
So then she likes so she self eliminated. But because
they're like God forbid, there's a seventy year old as
the lead. They picked the hottest one who wasn't ready
and then was so uptight about sex that she had
for fantasy suites them remove all the furniture so that
they couldn't like get at it on it, because if

(30:23):
you can't bang.

Speaker 2 (30:24):
On a floor or against a wall like whatever that
she read them, remove a bed, the couch. I'm like,
you could.

Speaker 1 (30:30):
Still do it on a floor.

Speaker 4 (30:33):
I don't want to do it.

Speaker 6 (30:34):
Yeah, remove the furniture and not like nice move the couch.

Speaker 1 (30:42):
Was like, what's wrong with your children too? That like
they don't like then just don't do it. Like you
don't feel comfortable, you can still have a couch and
sit and couch like are you sed? You could sit
and chat on a couch and you don't have to
do anything you don't want. You don't have to sleep
with the person. You could just talk all night. But like,
so you're just gonna sit on the floor like I just.

Speaker 5 (31:02):
She had never forgot finger banged by chalk I think
so she try is fair?

Speaker 4 (31:10):
I need His name is Chalk, very white and powdery.

Speaker 2 (31:15):
Okay, so here we go.

Speaker 5 (31:17):
No, Chalk's not going down on I'm sorry.

Speaker 6 (31:24):
He looks kind of like a human piece of chalk
advertised blast finger.

Speaker 5 (31:33):
She's like, you're it, Joe. She didn't picked that French man.
I guess he left her. He was like, God, we
are just Pascal Pascal.

Speaker 2 (31:45):
The morning he.

Speaker 5 (31:47):
Was like, I don't want strings attached to.

Speaker 4 (31:49):
The one who has like I have seventeen salons.

Speaker 1 (31:51):
Yes, and he was like he only dates like thirty
year old. Yeah, he was not used to and he
is like he used to be getting at it with
every woman.

Speaker 5 (31:59):
You're so serious. It's like, I just what happened to
those strings attached? It was like, what show are you wanting?

Speaker 1 (32:05):
Yelling Chuck, And she wanted Chalk because he didn't want her.
Oh remember people want what they can't have. They in nature,
even at sixty the lizard brand will like, really screw
you over.

Speaker 5 (32:17):
Chalk got to leave halfway through the season and come
back because his mom died that.

Speaker 1 (32:23):
She been on the show, and then they had the
least horny hometown ever at the burial of his mom
and they made her throw a shovel of dirt on camera.

Speaker 5 (32:37):
Oh my god.

Speaker 1 (32:38):
Children were like, what the fuck are you doing? Imagine
if you didn't win, and that they just had some
random had she had to pick him. You couldn't have
so cameras.

Speaker 2 (32:47):
They're throwing dirt on your mom, and then.

Speaker 5 (32:54):
She had to marry this dad. I buried his mother.

Speaker 1 (32:57):
Weirdness, hometown, I forgot about that hometown.

Speaker 2 (33:01):
My body having a.

Speaker 1 (33:02):
Visceral reaction to that. Yeah, I'm literally panicking right now
thinking about bringing Who would allow cameras? Why did he
say yes to that? That should be off list?

Speaker 4 (33:14):
You imagine the fight he had with the other family
members are They're like, no, what are you doing? Funeral?
You cant have ABC show up and make she threw a.

Speaker 2 (33:24):
Shovel of dirt.

Speaker 1 (33:26):
Dude, I'm panicking. It was such a tacky call. I mean,
look good for them. They're still together.

Speaker 5 (33:31):
Still, Yeah, yeah they Okay. So Carol Chalk is doing
like commercials for like sleep apnea.

Speaker 1 (33:41):
Now no, so Sydney didn't get the one on one.
There's and and so Carol to get the one on
Sidney starts crying. She's so grateful Carol's disappointed, and and
I'm going to take a quick break before they do
the gro group date. I'm Butterfly Mountain. I need a

(34:08):
sexual time out. And we're back around Butterfly Mountain and
we find out that what's his name who our lead melt.

Speaker 4 (34:22):
That's how interesting he is.

Speaker 1 (34:24):
We've done like five hundred episodes of this show. It's
wild how deep in I get, and then I have
to flush it out each season. I would never be
able to like do I would.

Speaker 4 (34:34):
Happen to retain.

Speaker 2 (34:36):
It's my soft gray matter.

Speaker 1 (34:37):
Can only retain so much ding dong like dip shittery ripe.

Speaker 5 (34:43):
Yeah, I mean sorry. I was thinking of Chuck's commercial.

Speaker 1 (34:49):
She went deep diving. So he's spiritual spirituality is very
important to him with connection for a relationship, and he
wants to see where everybody aligned. Then he brings out
shaman Danny. All right, stethe First, it's a white woman
with pink hair.

Speaker 4 (35:04):
Know nothing about it surprised me except for the fact
that I do believe it was Mel's idea, Okay, and
Key's into it, and he suggested it because he seemed
genuinely into it when they were doing it.

Speaker 1 (35:14):
So I thought I liked that about him. Yeah, I thought,
I'm freaking mel Yeah.

Speaker 4 (35:19):
I thought it was too much shaman. I thought it
was going to be a little bit like one little thing,
but it was like, wait, why is it thirty minutes
of shaman? Every single person in the group date has
to do an individual shaman session with him in a
different location mud.

Speaker 1 (35:34):
Bath of the So you're touching the table getting scolded.
So anyway, done, kiss.

Speaker 5 (35:45):
Don want to hit the gong.

Speaker 4 (35:51):
Yeah. I thought the shaman thing was interesting. I didn't
think I learned a lot about them. I learned that
they all handled, all the women handled in different way.
I mean, that was just quiet all time. Much. He
wasn't like he didn't seriously.

Speaker 1 (36:09):
I found him slightly self reflecting. I felt like he's
doing his best. I agree that.

Speaker 2 (36:16):
I do think he has a temper.

Speaker 4 (36:18):
Oh yeah, and he's working on it.

Speaker 2 (36:20):
What he's working on it.

Speaker 4 (36:25):
He's working on it. On the show with four shaman
sessions in a row.

Speaker 8 (36:30):
One therapy day, he's just like so hopped up on
Kalanapin because it does sometimes his energy is like huh yeah, wow, okay,
And I'm like what do you Mariah Carey, like what is.

Speaker 1 (36:45):
This energy carry subduc prosthetics.

Speaker 5 (36:50):
Yeah, you're like, are you okay? Energy gives like housewife.

Speaker 6 (36:54):
Who needs to like being reeled in? Y, that's fun, Okay, Okay,
So Mom and Danny comes out.

Speaker 2 (37:01):
She's got pink hair. It's basically my mom's back.

Speaker 1 (37:04):
She's dot of her pink and she got a MUMO
and we're in Malibu and there's a white woman and
peg the bomb diffuser.

Speaker 2 (37:12):
She's so into it. She gets a mud.

Speaker 1 (37:14):
Peg is a blast.

Speaker 4 (37:15):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (37:16):
I want Pegar Cindy to win.

Speaker 1 (37:17):
Yeah, Pegas, I think he would have a very happy
life with either of them.

Speaker 5 (37:22):
If Pegas any moment, it is gonna cry.

Speaker 4 (37:27):
Yeah, Pegas, I love it that they're doing the mud bath.
They kept talking about how clean they're getting. Oh my god,
cleansing each you're not cleansing each other mud on each other.

Speaker 1 (37:37):
She wrote out, Oh she's just like a hearty all in.
Peg reminds me of my mom. If my mom had
giant fake double d's and was a bombed difuser, a
murty uns, that's my mom. She was fun, she was hearty,
she was a good sport. She would have jumped in
the mud back like all.

Speaker 4 (37:55):
The women he's picked so far, the ones remaining are
have a similar vibe.

Speaker 7 (37:58):
Yeah, he likes it.

Speaker 1 (37:59):
He actually likes I think for a mellow guy, I
think he likes somebody. I like that. That's that's a
plus in his favor.

Speaker 5 (38:10):
Because he doesn't have to bring anything.

Speaker 1 (38:12):
The guys are threatened by a woman with a big personality, right,
and I like he's drawn to that. I like that
about him.

Speaker 5 (38:19):
Yeah.

Speaker 6 (38:20):
I know a lot of marriages that where it's like
one person has all the personality and the other person's
the quiet one. I think it can be really no
no like family friends, like aunts and uncles.

Speaker 7 (38:34):
It is starting, though. People are getting engaged, which is crazy.

Speaker 2 (38:36):
Can I just say that's crazy?

Speaker 5 (38:38):
My friends also trying to get divorced. That's not fun.

Speaker 7 (38:39):
Yeah, it's crazy. We are we exactly how old are you?

Speaker 5 (38:42):
I'm thirty five?

Speaker 7 (38:43):
Okay, so we're exactly ten years apart the engagement.

Speaker 1 (38:48):
You know what, thirty five is a good time to
get divorced.

Speaker 7 (38:51):
I can totally started.

Speaker 1 (38:52):
You can start to forty five.

Speaker 6 (38:55):
And ardience what we were talking about. How you can
just like you can restart your life at any time.
I could have like a second purity at any time.

Speaker 1 (39:02):
Dude, I want to just yeah, well, I just like
in a weird way, like again, we all the shit
that's happened to me, but by the way, my life
in general has been very fun, Like I've had a
great but I feel like the very worst specific things
that have happened that flip my game board. I actually

(39:23):
think personally and creatively have made my life so much bigger,
better and more well balanced.

Speaker 2 (39:30):
And I was happy before, but I feel like I was.

Speaker 1 (39:35):
I feel like whatever you want to call it, like
something greater wanted something bigger for me. The price of
it was elimination of things that I wouldn't have asked for,
but I think the gift of it has been an
expansion that I would never have had if I hadn't
lost all those things.

Speaker 5 (39:53):
Also, I think you were married for a good amount
of time. There's something like I had a friend who
recently is getting divorced, and I'm like, I literally just
went to your right but even I had to take
a connecting flight to get to your fucking mix are back.

Speaker 1 (40:13):
Why did you buy your plates together at your next wedding?
I feel like even the mom more than the divorce,
Like I feel like the combo of both at once
and like my mom kind of like I'll take Dan
with me, you know what I mean, Like he's like
he's he's coming with me.

Speaker 2 (40:28):
Like I feel like it was just the removal of everything.

Speaker 1 (40:30):
It was like there was a weird a weird I think,
almost like the terror of like all the normal signs
of land on your boat being gone, of like who
is your essence? What is your core? And like building
your life up from this feeling within of like what
feels like the things that feel good and eliminating what

(40:52):
felt bad. Like do you find that you're doing that? Yeah,
definitely like leaning into what feels good for you.

Speaker 6 (40:58):
Yes, I think I I lost my mom like six
months ago and she yeah, it was very recently if
she had a four year battle of cancer. And yes,
I think arden I've talked a lot about how your
creative powers getting very noisy after something big like this happens,
and I feel like I had sort of prepared for
it for a long time. Obviously, you never know exactly

(41:19):
how you're gonna feel, but I do think it's pushed
me to make decisions and to just.

Speaker 7 (41:23):
Know what matters and how I want to live.

Speaker 6 (41:26):
And yeah, it's just been a very interesting time and
I don't think I would have expected myself to say that.

Speaker 1 (41:32):
Do you think that you are more creatively brave, like
in your writing and what you're making? Does your intuition
feel louder?

Speaker 7 (41:40):
Yeah, definitely.

Speaker 6 (41:41):
I think my big update is I just quit my
job that I loved but just wanted to do go
off my own and write full time and direct and
take that bet. And I don't think I would have
done that if this hadn't happened.

Speaker 1 (41:53):
And has your and do you feel like the people
that have felt good for you?

Speaker 2 (41:57):
Like is it very clear? Like who are the right people?

Speaker 3 (42:00):
Like?

Speaker 6 (42:00):
Definitely, Yeah, it's become so clear in the different ways
that people supported me, like who is really there?

Speaker 5 (42:07):
Who are there?

Speaker 6 (42:07):
Yeah? Just I think that that's been such an amazing
like clarifying part of this.

Speaker 2 (42:11):
Did you find stuff with your mom?

Speaker 1 (42:13):
Like I know you and your mom, Like, have you
found stuff with like going through that with her?

Speaker 4 (42:17):
I mean I just cleaned out her apartment this week. Yeah,
it was a lot.

Speaker 7 (42:20):
That's a lot.

Speaker 4 (42:21):
Yeah, it's like like hundreds of notebooks that she's written in.
I can't even go through read it.

Speaker 5 (42:26):
All you have to do with it.

Speaker 4 (42:27):
Yeah, and just like tons of weird things she saved.

Speaker 2 (42:31):
Are you an only child?

Speaker 4 (42:32):
No, I got a brother and a sister.

Speaker 1 (42:33):
But how like have you found that like, has there
been something because I know you guys were so close.
Have you found this moment in time like have certain
have you gotten closer to some people and had other
things change?

Speaker 4 (42:45):
Oh? In my life? Yeah, like closer to my siblings.

Speaker 2 (42:51):
I don't know anybody.

Speaker 9 (42:53):
Us And there's definitely people who like, yes, who like
had other dead parents, who've talked to more Yes, definitely, Yeah,
who I've dealt with and like connected with.

Speaker 1 (43:06):
And as like a writer or a performer, do you
feel braver or anything.

Speaker 4 (43:11):
I feel don't braver, but like definitely inspired and like
your emotions are heightened. Yeah, this feels important. Whether it
is or it isn't, it feels important. Yeah, and you
want to like write about it some more. Well.

Speaker 1 (43:23):
I want to say what I like about you as
a performer, And I think your gift is you're very
like like you know you you make the entire audience
feel welcome. You're very festive, You're very like fearless and
braven all in you create an environment where people can
go kind of play and be silly and I feel

(43:45):
like you give like people feel like they're in good
hands with you, like as sort of the like Bert
has a similar quality but like the circus Master. Yeah,
like the best, like very such a good quest of
circus master and like that that that that you're either
born with that or you're not. But I think you

(44:05):
have that, You've always had that, like when you would
do Midnight change to Georgia, like like like that is
such a like to me, like the essence of like
the magic of you when you do that. I love that.
It's so fucking funny.

Speaker 4 (44:19):
Look it up, guys, it's a great bit.

Speaker 7 (44:20):
Look it up, you know what I mean?

Speaker 1 (44:21):
Like I think everyone has like certain things that are
unique to them and I anyway, that's our dead mom tangent. Okay,
so here we are. So then uh so Peg gets
right down to it. So she wrote love on him. Yeah,
and then they say right down an emotion that you
want to get rid of on the Pallo Santo and Birtha.

(44:41):
So one of them said unworthy and then he said
friction that rubs up against the wrong thing. And that's
when we're like, he has got a tap yeah, yeah.

Speaker 4 (44:49):
Yeah, yeah, or he was trying to be super dirty
and no one got it. Rubs up against the wrong
thing is like I'm looking in that back door, no
one's I'm knock.

Speaker 1 (44:58):
Talking to Peg jumps in her b you neat looking
like a smoke show. Loved her the cleansing away, and
I just think he really I appreciate that Mel likes
her Jules as a fiery gal. Myself. I like that
he gets to kick out of this feisty, full woman
who's powerful and like works with firefighters and like some

(45:20):
guys could be off by them. Yes, she was in
the again, like some basic b guys could be like
I want to be the like. And I think he's
drawn to that, and that's that's a bonus. And the
Mel call so and he goes, well, I'll see you
in Vegas for hometowns. What happens in Vegas stays in Vegas.

Speaker 4 (45:39):
They're like, ha, you mean he's gonna with her family.

Speaker 1 (45:44):
And all the firefighters. He was like, Pegs a live wire. Meanwhile, Cheryl,
she was the dirt biker who freaked out in the
ice bath and so there she's ready for a meditative state.
She wants to go into a sauna, but instead she's
in a tub of ice, and she does not want
to do it.

Speaker 2 (46:03):
He just hopped in.

Speaker 1 (46:04):
I've been in ice plunges.

Speaker 5 (46:06):
He can't feel his body.

Speaker 1 (46:07):
I don't like an ice bath. I don't like it.

Speaker 7 (46:10):
No, I don't think anyone really likes it.

Speaker 6 (46:12):
I think it's just through like the transition and how
you feel going cold to hot, as we saw in
Good Fortune.

Speaker 7 (46:17):
Yeah, it's good for you.

Speaker 1 (46:21):
Yeah, next time our piano festival.

Speaker 2 (46:24):
And he goes.

Speaker 1 (46:26):
She goes, Uh, what happens when you what happens when
you go all in? Like what happened to when you
let your guard down? And she put her She got
serious and she's like, I get emotional when I think
about you.

Speaker 2 (46:38):
You know, I have this feeling that I'm falling in love.
I am falling.

Speaker 1 (46:42):
She was the first Elbert word, I am falling in
love with you.

Speaker 5 (46:46):
Not a good thing with mel Apparently.

Speaker 1 (46:47):
He seemed a little did he cut her?

Speaker 5 (46:49):
Yeah, it's fine, you love me.

Speaker 2 (46:52):
Yeah, I'm going to tell you this too soon.

Speaker 1 (46:55):
You could think it about to go to hometowns. But
it's also like you've had a date.

Speaker 4 (47:00):
That she was trying to get to hometown.

Speaker 6 (47:02):
But that's freaky, not a good strategy.

Speaker 1 (47:06):
It's like whoa, that feels a little neaty.

Speaker 5 (47:09):
Like, yeah, you got to bang him first, then he
can love them.

Speaker 1 (47:12):
Bang them and love him and leave him. You know
what I mean, You're right, that's what Charlie said. Okay,
so then so then imagine if I did marry him
just to be artist.

Speaker 5 (47:23):
She honestly, he probably still could. They just signed him
at UTA. He's back, bab.

Speaker 1 (47:29):
He was charming in the documentary.

Speaker 5 (47:31):
He could literally shoot a man in his face and
they would give him a sitcom.

Speaker 1 (47:35):
By cried when they played that final like the fire
you cry.

Speaker 5 (47:42):
He was like, he went on a rampage, his car
went off the cliff. He's smoking crack, and so we
were like, do you want this movie?

Speaker 1 (47:49):
Yeah, he's Charlie what you can do whatever he wants. So
then she said I'm falling in love with you and
she's like, I'd love to take you home, and he
was great, I can't wait.

Speaker 5 (48:02):
How could?

Speaker 2 (48:02):
She was too needy and she wasn't a good time
in the ice Bath.

Speaker 1 (48:05):
I feel like she was more fun in the ice
bath and just kept just don't say it.

Speaker 5 (48:09):
I think her saying she was falling in love with
herself on the foot I don't love you and I'm not.

Speaker 2 (48:17):
I love you. This sane one meal in and she.

Speaker 7 (48:22):
The only one that said it so far. So far,
that's not first to.

Speaker 4 (48:26):
The camera or maybe to their family, but not.

Speaker 7 (48:28):
Yeah, it's different.

Speaker 5 (48:29):
Yeah, yeah, you can see it because didn't Jesse even
like address it with him?

Speaker 1 (48:34):
He did?

Speaker 5 (48:35):
Yeah, I thought Jesse was like, I love Jesse Now
I used to not like Jesse.

Speaker 1 (48:38):
I'm all in on Jesse.

Speaker 5 (48:39):
Dirt Bike girl loves you.

Speaker 4 (48:41):
I think Jesse's doing a good job, keeps warmed up.

Speaker 2 (48:44):
Jesse's warmed up. Yeah, Jesse's funny.

Speaker 4 (48:47):
Yeah, I think we need to see more of him
being funny. I want more Jesse to keep him reined in.

Speaker 5 (48:52):
Yeah, during Paradise, so they let him play.

Speaker 2 (48:55):
Did you watch Paradise this year?

Speaker 3 (48:56):
No?

Speaker 1 (48:57):
It was weird.

Speaker 4 (48:58):
I know, I had a new I watched the first
couple episodes. Has a new beginning, yeah, the new vibe. Yeah, yeah,
it was shot like a film.

Speaker 1 (49:04):
No, we like our old dirty like, we like our analog.
We like our weird analog babboo kind of episode. It's weird. Yeah, Okay,
So then Debbie is up. Debbie did tantric yoga. Which
one is Debbie?

Speaker 5 (49:16):
She's the beach body.

Speaker 1 (49:18):
Oh yeah, she's the one, the Parker posey one that's
never been married. I feel like he's holding that against her,
that she's never been married. I feel like he's treating
it like something's wrong with her that she didn't get
picked at the dance.

Speaker 4 (49:27):
But I liked her a lot.

Speaker 1 (49:28):
I like her too, and I'm saying that I'm not
holding it against her.

Speaker 7 (49:31):
I just feel like she's a fitness instructor.

Speaker 5 (49:33):
Yeah.

Speaker 7 (49:33):
Yeah, she was part of the very peach body.

Speaker 2 (49:36):
Yeah like seven minute beach Body.

Speaker 4 (49:38):
Yeah yeah, yeah.

Speaker 5 (49:40):
They used to advertise on this show.

Speaker 1 (49:41):
Remember yeah they did, Yeah they did. We should well
come on my heart, Okay. So uh so then they
straddled and I feel like he was into the tantric yoga.

Speaker 4 (49:52):
Oh yeah.

Speaker 2 (49:53):
And you know what, they did have a connection. And
she's adorable.

Speaker 1 (49:56):
Yeah, and she's like so she cried last week when
she got to dress up like a but it was
really just like a white slip dress and a veil.

Speaker 7 (50:02):
She saw only time.

Speaker 5 (50:04):
She's ever had that clo.

Speaker 4 (50:06):
She's ever gonna get What did.

Speaker 1 (50:07):
I say she's not going to win, is she?

Speaker 4 (50:10):
I think she will? I like, if I had to
put money on it, I'd say Cindy. But I'm rooting
for deb Steps.

Speaker 2 (50:17):
I'm ready for Pey.

Speaker 4 (50:19):
Okay, yeah I do.

Speaker 1 (50:21):
He's got some great yeah.

Speaker 2 (50:22):
Okay.

Speaker 1 (50:23):
So then she's like, I'm fully focused. It's been fourteen
years since I've been in love. And then you know,
if you walked in the front door, I would love
to have you meet my sister mean the world to
me to walk in with the man it's been fourteenth
don't say it's been fourteen that's like somebody's liked you
in fourteen years.

Speaker 4 (50:40):
To go with you. Yeah, don't be it's too honest.

Speaker 1 (50:42):
Don't be that hones like someone's picked you in fourteen.

Speaker 4 (50:45):
Years, or that you could have like someone's waiting for
you at home. Maybe maybe literally have a little.

Speaker 1 (50:49):
Mystery that light like so lots of people you got
to try and get. Yeah, fourteen years.

Speaker 6 (50:55):
One of the things that I was doing instead of
watching reality TV as a child, as I was reading
this book called how to be Parisian.

Speaker 7 (51:01):
Wherever you are?

Speaker 6 (51:02):
What's great?

Speaker 7 (51:04):
Probably like fourteen was written in French.

Speaker 6 (51:07):
No, no, not, but this is like this Parisian thing
that you're supposed to do is like only show one
part of your body on a date, Like you can
choose like a collar bone or a leg, and just
the idea is to be like a little bit withholding.
And I think that that's like you know, whether it's
information or part of your body. I also, I think

(51:29):
we talked about my one of the genius things my
mom did she put together before my bot mitzvah, a
women's circle.

Speaker 7 (51:35):
It was awesome for your daughters.

Speaker 6 (51:37):
Yeah, in the movie where she had like women of
different ages that were her friends come and like talk
to me about like boys and love and sex and
all those things. And that was a big thing we
talked about. One person in particular, who I won't name,
was like like you.

Speaker 7 (51:51):
Have to be a little like mysterious, right.

Speaker 1 (51:53):
I agree, And I think it's.

Speaker 4 (51:55):
Did you learn a lot at that sex a lot?

Speaker 1 (51:57):
What else did you learn?

Speaker 4 (51:58):
What else became more of a woman at that stay more?

Speaker 1 (52:00):
What else we didn't get to go? She marine hose
Roseen need to hear more.

Speaker 6 (52:05):
I think it was a lot about like it was
my first ever like consent conversation where it was like
it's always okay to say.

Speaker 7 (52:10):
No no matter what it is, okay.

Speaker 6 (52:13):
I think a big one was just like the mystery
and the sort of like hold hold back and that's okay.
Another one was like choosing your sort of like board
of directors of your life that you're gonna like sort
of go to for advice.

Speaker 1 (52:26):
Nice Lan.

Speaker 7 (52:33):
I'm trying to remember. Those are the ones that really
stuck out to me.

Speaker 6 (52:36):
But it was such an amazing thing, and those women
are like have now become my like second you know,
my mom's.

Speaker 1 (52:41):
Yeah, okay, I pick Anna as a board of director. Yeah,
things by you.

Speaker 5 (52:46):
You're already sort of already on the board.

Speaker 1 (52:48):
Sooard sort of already on the board. Thank you. I'll
bring snackt to the next meeting, okay. So then so
they're straddling and uh and he goes, I'd love to
meet your family. So he said it now twice, and
he said it to the first one that he lied to.
So then we said it to three so far. So

(53:09):
then Nicole, who's decided to be the villain, she was like,
I know, and he goes, she goes, he goes, he goes,
you're my favorite because you brought me those lemon bars.
He's just horny for her, and so they do a
shaman card reading and it's the witness card. In my mind,

(53:30):
I was like, every card here is a witness. They
set it up to like fuck over Nicole where it's
like it's like and they're like, what are you like?
And she's like, I have a big fear of not
being stable. She was like, my finances are a real
jumble right now. My dad, I cud have more income.
My dad feel worried about me. Like She's basically like,

(53:51):
I'm looking for a sugar daddy, and I want to start.

Speaker 2 (53:53):
I want my cookbook career.

Speaker 1 (53:55):
I make some money on Instagram, but not enough since
I only have like a thousand followers.

Speaker 7 (53:58):
Daddy manages my friend.

Speaker 2 (54:00):
My daddy managed my daddy.

Speaker 1 (54:03):
Yeah, and she's so so bananas that she's honestly, I've
come here to get more followers.

Speaker 2 (54:10):
My plan is to be landelasps.

Speaker 1 (54:12):
I'm going to like like it's.

Speaker 4 (54:16):
Hilario the wrong reasons and talk about the wrong reasons
no shame.

Speaker 7 (54:20):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (54:21):
That's the beauty of the Golden Bachelor is that they'll
do that because they have no filter, while the other
batchelor they'll be like they wouldn't say it out loud,
they kind of hint around it.

Speaker 1 (54:29):
Give us a review of Nicole, give us an honest review.

Speaker 4 (54:32):
My god, Yeah, my review is that like she's like,
I'm gonna go on the show because I want to
get followers. I'm gonna talk about how I need followers,
I want to be the next bachelorette. And they'll even
say we need to do a kiss for the camera.

Speaker 6 (54:44):
On camera, and then yeah, you know what, in this context,
I'm sort of appreciating that she just lays it all on. Yeah,
and like there's totally something to that, and it's way better,
Like why are we hiding it?

Speaker 5 (54:55):
That's yeah, I wouldn't.

Speaker 4 (54:58):
Be surprised if she held up a QR code and
by top not, I know the fact that she.

Speaker 5 (55:07):
Really tells Mell like and yeah, this is my chance
to be an influencer. And Mel's like, maybe this is
what Robin was talking about. That's exactly what Robin.

Speaker 1 (55:17):
Was talking and he still was trying to find a
way to bring in a fantasy suite.

Speaker 4 (55:21):
Ye, can we do fantasy suites before hometown just with
this one girl.

Speaker 5 (55:27):
The way she was like, and call me when this
doesn't work.

Speaker 2 (55:32):
Because it's not going to work out.

Speaker 4 (55:33):
Because I know it's not going to work out. They
never do call me later, by the way, not for
a relationship, just for some fun.

Speaker 2 (55:39):
Not a bad thing for her to say.

Speaker 1 (55:42):
Because I feel like he might he would.

Speaker 5 (55:44):
But she also shot herself in the foot forever becoming
the bachelor shouldn't like she.

Speaker 1 (55:49):
Would think she would never be that.

Speaker 4 (55:53):
She definitely shot herself the foot, like.

Speaker 1 (55:56):
They need apple pie. You're not mean woman over stick,
but you also.

Speaker 5 (56:01):
Have to be like nobody wants me. Then they'll make
the batche arette. You can't be like and I know you.

Speaker 7 (56:07):
Call the bachelorette after they usually choose from.

Speaker 1 (56:11):
They usually picked from the bof you.

Speaker 5 (56:12):
Left from a previous pool.

Speaker 1 (56:15):
I think they thought we found this handsome lawyer NFL player,
because they're like, who are we gonna pick Gary?

Speaker 2 (56:20):
You know what I mean? Charles?

Speaker 1 (56:21):
Like of the guys that were their last time, all
the all the guys got paired off that were good
you know, yeah, Pascal, we.

Speaker 4 (56:32):
Already know he would have been this like a play.
He wouldn't have picked it. I picked myself, Okay.

Speaker 1 (56:38):
So then Carol gets stuck in a yurt and she's okay.
So he oh, yeah, Nicole and goes give a kiss
with the camera, just a little just a little kiss
with the camera, and he's like, maybe this was tring about.
So then Carol's in the yurt and she whispers and
they're clearing the chakra and she's like.

Speaker 10 (56:55):
She didn't know what chakra was or what guys don't
such a okay, I was like, she goes, this is
the first time I feel the safe, a secure and
then she's.

Speaker 1 (57:06):
Like kind of crussouds. I used to feel like at
this moment, I need friendship and attention, and they're like
listen to He's like like, what is little what does
little Mel need? Hold little Mel?

Speaker 2 (57:17):
Hold little Mel.

Speaker 4 (57:19):
And then but he doesn't want any friction.

Speaker 1 (57:21):
He doesn't want any friction. So then she's like, you know,
I gotta be honest with you. I just feel like
I can't if I don't have a one on one date.
I don't feel comfortable like bringing my hometown smart And
he's like, I respect that, and you know what, your
well being comes first. And then they sent her off
and the and the suv tooks off and then Cheryl
sees its like they took Carol they took Carol, Cheryl

(57:44):
starts freaking out.

Speaker 11 (57:46):
She some kids, Yes, exactly, yeah, yeah, and she goes,
she goes males a great cat.

Speaker 2 (57:56):
She's just not my catch.

Speaker 1 (57:57):
And in that moment, I thought Paul Dankey was and
I felt like her whole plan that she was auditioning
to be the Bachelorette.

Speaker 5 (58:04):
She definitely I think she was auditioning. At the same time,
I do think she also decided Mel wasn't worthy.

Speaker 1 (58:10):
I respect respect.

Speaker 4 (58:12):
And I think she's right. I think she's like, why
should I bring up a family like I literally don't
know you group dates with you?

Speaker 5 (58:19):
And my nephew is an All star.

Speaker 3 (58:21):
So yeah.

Speaker 1 (58:22):
Any final thoughts before we take a break, before we
go to the to the final date? Is there any
thoughts on the Shaman Clara our rookie rookie any any
first thoughts on our final thoughts on our group date?

Speaker 7 (58:34):
What are other group dates?

Speaker 1 (58:36):
Oh, you could do? It depends on contenta a group
they could do. They could do like a singing contest.
They could have to do anything.

Speaker 4 (58:45):
Like a stand up content.

Speaker 1 (58:46):
They don't have to write a stand up back. They
could have to roast football, they could do they could
do a strip tease. They could do like they sometimes
do very gendered things. If it's like a younger bachelor,
they were like, okay, now you're dipeer the baby and
you're like, you're like washing dishes, or if it's a guy,
it's like a boxing match.

Speaker 4 (59:06):
Like so it's very active. They make people do something
as a group.

Speaker 6 (59:09):
Okay, but it could be very gender because I was
interested that it's like, this is not a date. They're
not doing that much talking. It's just sort of like
parallel silent, parallel play, and that's.

Speaker 7 (59:17):
How it usually is. I'm so wow together.

Speaker 4 (59:21):
Okay, depends how big degree.

Speaker 1 (59:22):
I'm impressed that you've never seen any reality nothing not
really credits.

Speaker 7 (59:29):
Oh, I've seen a little bit of Love.

Speaker 1 (59:30):
Is blind, Love is fine is amazing.

Speaker 7 (59:31):
Yeah.

Speaker 6 (59:33):
Oh I used to watch Project Runway with my mom,
so yeah, I watch a little bit. I like Project
because they're making I was like, probably eight.

Speaker 1 (59:41):
People make things, got reality elimination competition. Yeah, I loved
him God and make it work. Yes, Okay, Well we're
gonna take a quick break or.

Speaker 7 (59:49):
Do the one on one day.

Speaker 1 (59:55):
I don't know about you, but things are getting so
hoten here.

Speaker 7 (59:58):
I think I got a take pity break.

Speaker 1 (01:00:04):
Aramac Cindy.

Speaker 6 (01:00:06):
God, she's pretty, She's so pretty, pretty, her eyes.

Speaker 7 (01:00:11):
I love that date. That was really and the aerial shots,
like I want to do that date.

Speaker 5 (01:00:15):
That's right.

Speaker 1 (01:00:15):
I feel like she's gonna win because they set her up.
They gave her the date.

Speaker 6 (01:00:18):
Yeah, and her cowboy boots are so cute. She likes
hot in her short shorts and that little like picnic setup.

Speaker 1 (01:00:24):
It was so cute and they and they brought her
they want me to They walked, they walked up Griffith
Park and boots and then there were horses and then
she was sexy because she knew how to ride.

Speaker 7 (01:00:33):
Yeah, she was a good sport.

Speaker 2 (01:00:34):
And I liked that he didn't know how to ride.

Speaker 1 (01:00:36):
But I liked her saying the coach and him came
out because I don't know how to ride, I would
be much more nervous. And he was like very all in.
It made me like him a little bit that he
was just the he was coaching the horse. That was cute.

Speaker 2 (01:00:48):
His name was like Chocolate or something.

Speaker 1 (01:00:49):
The more she's like, good job, good job.

Speaker 6 (01:00:51):
I love to bring up her daughters and that have
we seen that before? Like her talking about daughters and
then facetiming them.

Speaker 1 (01:00:56):
That was sometimes they do that if they want you,
if they want you to do well and seem maternal.

Speaker 2 (01:01:01):
Yeah, I want you to draw to that.

Speaker 1 (01:01:04):
Yeah yeah.

Speaker 4 (01:01:05):
But and then like, I don't know you could horseback
ride at Griffith Park.

Speaker 7 (01:01:09):
Yeah yeah, yeah, oh yeah yeah.

Speaker 5 (01:01:11):
I haven't seen the signs where it's like horse crossing. Yeah,
like good luck.

Speaker 6 (01:01:15):
I like hiking up that you're talking about. Yeah, that's
great people.

Speaker 1 (01:01:20):
It was it was so so he didn't show, he goes,
I don't show fear.

Speaker 2 (01:01:25):
I played in the NFL.

Speaker 1 (01:01:26):
You're not going to see fear. Not you're not gonna
have any smell of fear. I kind of liked that
I did.

Speaker 2 (01:01:32):
I was like for them fake to make it mel.

Speaker 4 (01:01:35):
I thought it seemed like I'm afraid to look to
feel weak. I'm afraid to be like like yeah, just
like I'm afraid I will present like I'm totally knowing
that I'm talking about even scared.

Speaker 2 (01:01:49):
Okay, you know what I liked about it.

Speaker 1 (01:01:50):
As a person, I get anxiety and I get like
stage fright for every single thing, so I have to
kind of like everything. I get scared for everything, So
I have to kind of pump myself up for things,
so I get frightened constantly. So I like that just
because you're afraid doesn't mean it's not going to be fun.
So I like seeing somebody, So I like seeing somebody
feeling the fear and doing it anyway. So it's not

(01:02:13):
saying that I it's okay that I'm afraid. It doesn't
mean that it's like a real I'm still allowed to
try something even though I'm afraid.

Speaker 4 (01:02:19):
Right, Well, I'm glad it didn't stop it from doing it.

Speaker 1 (01:02:20):
Yeah, So that I could also.

Speaker 4 (01:02:22):
Say I'm a little scared, but I'm going to do
it anyway.

Speaker 1 (01:02:24):
Well, I could tell you that I get scared for
everything that I do it really, Yeah, I guess here
for everything?

Speaker 4 (01:02:27):
Do you certain things, not everything, certain things. I'm not
scared at all, certain things I am.

Speaker 7 (01:02:32):
Depends what you get scared before show I do.

Speaker 4 (01:02:34):
It depends on the show. If it's a space I've
never performed at before in an audience who doesn't know.

Speaker 1 (01:02:38):
Me a little bit, Yeah, I guess heared for every show.

Speaker 7 (01:02:41):
Really, you would never know, right.

Speaker 2 (01:02:44):
You know what? And it's okay.

Speaker 1 (01:02:45):
I've also learned that also means that I'm excited and I.

Speaker 2 (01:02:47):
Care about it. Yeah, yeah, it means And I've learned from.

Speaker 1 (01:02:51):
Doing plays in New York that like when I've done
some plays in New York that that I got nervous
every time and that, but that didn't mean that. But
once I'm going, I'm fine. I'm not scared. Once I'm going,
once I'm launched, I don't even think about it. So
it's also like part of my prep work, and it
clearly works for me, and so it doesn't have to
cripple me, but I allow for it. It's like, oh,

(01:03:11):
it's right on time. It's not a surprise. I knew
it would be here, and I still do it. And
then I ride it out in advanced like I sort
of like I pregame it as if I accounting for
the nerves, and I ride it out as if it's
already happened, like a game has already happened. And then
I went, well, and I account for the nerves. Yeah, interesting,
all right, there we go, So thanks, you know, there,

(01:03:32):
you're getting to know me. So they go, he's coaching
the horse, but his name was Moose. Was the moose? Yeah,
And so they have the view of the city was
beautiful city, goes Sydney's elegant on her horse.

Speaker 7 (01:03:46):
She was, she was not sure it was really beautiful.

Speaker 1 (01:03:48):
She was so gorge and so so they went to
the his first time at the observatory, and she goes,
she does. I liked her kind of bragging about herself.
She was I was a cheerleader, a valedictorian, I'm an engineer.
My god, damn it, Cindy, good for you.

Speaker 4 (01:04:05):
I thought his gift was was the was kind of funny.

Speaker 2 (01:04:08):
What was the gift?

Speaker 4 (01:04:09):
He named a star? It's like, it's like the most romantic,
cheapest gift you can get.

Speaker 5 (01:04:15):
Yeah, but you don't even need proof.

Speaker 1 (01:04:20):
Did you get me that?

Speaker 4 (01:04:22):
I just got to.

Speaker 1 (01:04:23):
I still touch that. You did that?

Speaker 5 (01:04:26):
Yeah, totally did that.

Speaker 1 (01:04:27):
She's been divorced for seven years. How did I end
up who I am? Well, I grew up in a
broken home. So I married this nice guy.

Speaker 5 (01:04:35):
Because I did like this. She was like, my dad,
real piece of shit.

Speaker 1 (01:04:39):
My dad's an awful person.

Speaker 5 (01:04:40):
By the way, I hope he's watching from somewhere.

Speaker 1 (01:04:43):
I say no, and so she's like, so she said,
I married a very family what I thought was a
very family oriented person. Cheated he cheated, honey. So then
she got pregnant and she goes, and I promoted myself
when I had my baby to taking care of my baby.

Speaker 7 (01:04:59):
I liked her phrase it me to promote it.

Speaker 2 (01:05:01):
I like I promoted myself.

Speaker 5 (01:05:03):
I liked it. I mean that she left being a
biomet and.

Speaker 1 (01:05:06):
Then I'm gonna be a mom. I'm gonna raise this.
I'm gonna raise this kid. I was like, good for her,
that's great. Wow, And she goes and my marriage is
not what I thought it was, but I can make
it work. And I decided I couldn't make it work.
And after difficult years, I decided to just uh let
it go and uh and I just but it was
hard for me to want to love again, because why

(01:05:27):
I love again when you introduce them to people and
then they disappoint you. So she's been burned a couple
of times.

Speaker 5 (01:05:33):
That's real.

Speaker 4 (01:05:34):
She really trauma dumped on though. Mel there. Yeah, I know.

Speaker 7 (01:05:40):
He sells himself.

Speaker 6 (01:05:41):
We were talking about this earlier as like this deep
person and he can't go there.

Speaker 1 (01:05:46):
He can't, he can't, he can't know he's been.

Speaker 7 (01:05:51):
He's limited, and it just makes me wonder.

Speaker 6 (01:05:54):
Like from a psychological experiment perspective, like are all these
women it's just like the competition of being the winner,
Like how can you how can you actually be so
deeply in love with somebody?

Speaker 5 (01:06:06):
If you do, you get locked into a headspace.

Speaker 1 (01:06:09):
Talk to people who've been on, I think because they
told me you don't have your phone, you're not allowed
to watch television, there's no computer, there's no radio for
how long a couple of.

Speaker 5 (01:06:18):
Weeks, okay, And you're just forced to talk and focus
on this, and then eventually.

Speaker 1 (01:06:23):
You start to think. And they sometimes set you up
where there's fireworks. You're like in a helicopter, you're in
a castle. And and for a lot of people, I
think for a lot of younger people, it's the first
time your phones are down. You're actually spending eight hours
phone free talking and having this like without swiping, without like.

Speaker 6 (01:06:44):
But to what degreed is having cameras like in the
same way the phone takes away from it take away
from I.

Speaker 1 (01:06:50):
Think eventually you I think it can start to feel
real when you're in the situation.

Speaker 7 (01:06:56):
Yeah, and you get used to it.

Speaker 2 (01:06:58):
It sounds like.

Speaker 1 (01:06:58):
From the people that have been on that I've had
success that they know pretty quickly like who the person is,
and you still have to go on the other days, right.

Speaker 5 (01:07:05):
Yeah, I think you know who your person is.

Speaker 4 (01:07:07):
Yes, I feel like they figure out the top three
pretty much.

Speaker 5 (01:07:10):
Just know who you like.

Speaker 3 (01:07:11):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (01:07:12):
Yeah, But it is interesting how in every season Yah Bachelor,
they all become obsessed and in love with this person
very quickly. And I don't know how much of it
is fabricated, how much of it is real, how much
of it is people want to douse, they want to
stay on the show.

Speaker 5 (01:07:28):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (01:07:29):
I also think for some of these gals, like when
I was watching my mom try to date, I think
there's less pools for the women. A lot of the
guys date much younger women, and then a lot of
or the guys have died, you know, so like here
are these vibrant women who have many years left in.

Speaker 7 (01:07:47):
That oh yea and perhaps much harder.

Speaker 6 (01:07:50):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (01:07:50):
And I think that here are these great gals and
uh and so you.

Speaker 6 (01:07:56):
Know, yeah, and it feels like great men that age
are few and far between.

Speaker 1 (01:07:59):
Yeah. So okay, so then uh so then her So
then there she is and she goes mel uh and
she says to him, you are so articulate and kind
and he goes, even with my potty mouth.

Speaker 7 (01:08:15):
No articulate at all.

Speaker 5 (01:08:17):
He hasn't said anything.

Speaker 1 (01:08:19):
Yes, he's literate, literate, you know, potty mouth. And she goes,
I will pray for you. I don't even know. I
was like, say something for you. So then he goes,
I have something for you. It's a stars. I got
you a star. And then he goes, your light reached
my heart the moment we met, and I thought, she's

(01:08:40):
gonna win. She's gonna win, She's gonna win. That sentence
she s because I also thought that to me means
his like he's he felt home with her, that he
saw her brightness, was like, that's the one.

Speaker 2 (01:08:55):
I think she's it.

Speaker 5 (01:08:56):
Her daughters are going to torpedo this ship.

Speaker 1 (01:08:58):
And then and then he goes, I am feeling like
I'm falling. And then they played Cold Placed Sky Full
of Stars. Yeah, it's a great song.

Speaker 4 (01:09:07):
Yeah. And then they had there was a white boom
box in the back of the off the boom or
was it confused by that?

Speaker 1 (01:09:16):
I know they we're trying to do the say anything moment. Yeah,
our ione sky shouted and he goes, he goes, I
would love to be a part of mills, future beyond hometowns.
She goes, he is everything for me right now and
he and she goes, he has the sun and the

(01:09:39):
moon and the stars wrapped up in one.

Speaker 5 (01:09:42):
Oh my god, Okay.

Speaker 3 (01:09:46):
Me too.

Speaker 7 (01:09:46):
I just this is insane.

Speaker 1 (01:09:52):
How good is our new rookie. Rookie, you're doing a
great job.

Speaker 6 (01:09:56):
I mean, I've been obsessed with like the worlds of
love and dating forever.

Speaker 7 (01:10:00):
I actually like took a gap year before college and
I worked at Bumble as an eighteen year old.

Speaker 1 (01:10:05):
What did you learn?

Speaker 7 (01:10:06):
I just like, I like the idea of Bumble.

Speaker 6 (01:10:11):
I think that it's compelling, the idea like women make
the first move, and it was like, it's not like
that anymore. And also like Bumbles changed, I guess that
anyone bubbles changed. But yeah, I'm just fascinated by how
people meet each other and dating apps and how that's
changed my generation.

Speaker 7 (01:10:32):
And so I just find all this is fascinating.

Speaker 2 (01:10:34):
How do you think it's changed?

Speaker 6 (01:10:36):
I think from a female perspective, I have a lot
of friends who are my age who really and I
think men too cannot make a first move in real life,
and that is they don't want to talk to anyone,
and people that are just crippled by the idea of
like meeting someone in a bar or Yeah, so it's
just really really hard interesting.

Speaker 4 (01:10:56):
And also one of the picture of you holding a
fish totally and.

Speaker 5 (01:10:59):
I just like, now it's in mud with the elephant.

Speaker 7 (01:11:04):
Oh, elephant, I travel crazy.

Speaker 5 (01:11:06):
I've been to Thailand. Here's me with this.

Speaker 10 (01:11:09):
Yeah.

Speaker 6 (01:11:10):
I think people think she like falling in love, falling
out of love, getting messy with it so much more
than they are.

Speaker 7 (01:11:16):
Like my generation does not.

Speaker 6 (01:11:17):
Take risks and just needs to get out, and they
don't dance, and they don't dance, and they don't pay
what they.

Speaker 2 (01:11:23):
Don't dance, And I know that they're not like getting out.

Speaker 4 (01:11:28):
Audience members and do a dance contest we have to
catch and no one under thirty five knows how to dance.

Speaker 5 (01:11:35):
Anymore.

Speaker 1 (01:11:36):
Wait a minute, what do you mean they don't dance.

Speaker 4 (01:11:38):
They don't know how to dance. Everyone who's a certain
age will say, like, well, the roots will play a
beat and we do like a thirty second dance.

Speaker 7 (01:11:45):
They know, like I would dance to the roots any day,
and they know, like take.

Speaker 2 (01:11:48):
Tag dance man, No one knows.

Speaker 4 (01:11:50):
They don't know how to do.

Speaker 6 (01:11:51):
I actually think I haven't told you this. I fell
in love with my boyfriend because he could dance, and
he was like, yeah, he was out of dancer. He's
a great dancer, and he was just so had no
shame about it. He would love that.

Speaker 7 (01:12:03):
He would tear up dance for.

Speaker 1 (01:12:05):
Okay, can I just say another thing about when you
were saying that Clara's friends are getting married. Clara's boyfriend, Henry,
was having his birthday two nights ago, and she's so
put together in the same way that you're put together.

Speaker 2 (01:12:17):
She threw him like she brought.

Speaker 1 (01:12:19):
In a chef surprise, she brought in a chef. She
had a dinner party.

Speaker 7 (01:12:23):
Yeah at the house.

Speaker 1 (01:12:24):
She's like that on a surprise chef dinner. That's amazing.

Speaker 6 (01:12:27):
Yeah, it was very fun, shout out dinner parties and
all of it was all of our couple friends, which
is this is.

Speaker 2 (01:12:32):
A twenty five year old I have.

Speaker 1 (01:12:35):
She's goals as a person at can you even.

Speaker 4 (01:12:39):
I love her whole like style.

Speaker 1 (01:12:42):
That's what she's That's what I was like. Yeah, because
we were like talking about directors, like, well, it's you
who else were going to put in charge? You can
do the dinner party.

Speaker 5 (01:12:52):
Yeah.

Speaker 7 (01:12:53):
I love I love having like executing visions.

Speaker 1 (01:12:55):
I mean, no sh and I'm super efficient even though
I seem.

Speaker 7 (01:12:59):
Like you execute visions.

Speaker 1 (01:13:02):
This is my handwriting.

Speaker 7 (01:13:03):
I get ship done, I really do.

Speaker 1 (01:13:04):
I run a fucking musical.

Speaker 3 (01:13:06):
I know.

Speaker 6 (01:13:06):
Also, like you came to New York to see one
show and then we like, so much has happened around that.

Speaker 2 (01:13:11):
Dude, We've had the best time ever, best time. I've
had so much fun.

Speaker 1 (01:13:14):
Honestly, this has been my This has been my shaman
fall in New York, healing from the bullshit that I
went through in the last two years of New York.
Now since starting with our show at Union Hall, which
you couldn't come to because you weren't available, But that
was how dare you start your fucking like you're in Europe,
I feel like we have dare you can't see your

(01:13:34):
fucking trip. I feel like though, but this has been
like the tour because it's my favorite city and it's
reclaimed New York, honey.

Speaker 7 (01:13:41):
Yeah, reclaim New York to New York.

Speaker 2 (01:13:45):
I'm gonna do my musical and I'm gonna do and
you our movie.

Speaker 1 (01:13:47):
You meet Ruby, you gotta meet Ruby, Okay, Ruby cruise
shadowt okay. So here we go, finishing out, finishing out.
So then she goes, I see a future with mister
mel Owen, and it's a little bit scary. It's a
lot scary. I wanted to fall in love, but what
if he doesn't choose me? And he's like, my day
with her is perfect. And then she's like, he's everything

(01:14:10):
I'm not hoping for, and she goes, I wanted to
fall in love, but what if he doesn't catch me?

Speaker 5 (01:14:17):
You won't, he can't, he won't.

Speaker 1 (01:14:21):
All right, we're gonna take a quick break and we're
gonna come back. We're gonna read reviews, we're gonna repost
the weeks, and you're gonna guess. We're going to talk
about who the final people are, and you're gonna guess
who's gonna win and the top three we're gonna go
number three, two, one in ascending order, and who the
next bachelor.

Speaker 7 (01:14:34):
It is going to be.

Speaker 4 (01:14:40):
Bone Zone.

Speaker 1 (01:14:42):
Let's get in the bone zone, guys, and we're back.
All right, So here we go. Yeah, he gives out
the final roses. Number one goes to Cindy. To me,
that means Cindy's gonna win.

Speaker 7 (01:14:55):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (01:14:56):
Number two Peg, we love our bomb diffuser. These are
three great guy, he's got three great picks. Number three Debbie,
he cut Cheryl, and he cut Nicole, and and.

Speaker 2 (01:15:11):
She goes, I wish you the best, but my heart
is broken. I feel empty.

Speaker 1 (01:15:14):
She could also be the next bachelorette. She's not gonna be.
It's gonna be. It's gonna be Freddy Freeman's er.

Speaker 2 (01:15:20):
Yeah, and Nicole goes, I have a huge heart.

Speaker 1 (01:15:25):
But what it doesn't But it doesn't work out with
whoever you pick, because it probably won't call me a
really iconic villain. Exit Lon Oh.

Speaker 4 (01:15:33):
My god, best of the best villain.

Speaker 2 (01:15:37):
He's an incredible villain, Honter.

Speaker 1 (01:15:39):
Okay, So then mel So, now he's going uh so
now they're going to hometown. Yeah, okay, here we go.
So Seth in sending order three two one? Who do
you think is going to come in third?

Speaker 2 (01:15:55):
Second?

Speaker 1 (01:15:56):
So who's going to Fantasy Sweets and who's gonna win?

Speaker 4 (01:15:59):
I think Debbie and Cindy are going to Fantasy Seek.

Speaker 2 (01:16:02):
So you think he's gonna cut the.

Speaker 7 (01:16:06):
Other one, which is peg.

Speaker 1 (01:16:08):
Peg okay, because he's not quite as attracted to.

Speaker 4 (01:16:11):
Her pal I think. But though she's the most interesting character.

Speaker 1 (01:16:16):
Boner, the boner always wins, though, Yeah, I think he's
gonna bon always.

Speaker 4 (01:16:20):
Maybe I'm wrong, Maybe he's.

Speaker 1 (01:16:21):
Gonna cut tantric tantric sex and then sexy Cindy. Yeah,

Speaker 4 (01:16:29):
I think in the Cindy's gonna win.

Speaker 1 (01:16:31):
I think Peg would be an incredible bachelorette.

Speaker 2 (01:16:34):

Speaker 4 (01:16:36):
Carol? Okay, I think you're right.

Speaker 2 (01:16:44):
Who do you think it's going to be?

Speaker 1 (01:16:45):
Third? Who's gonna get cut after hometowns?

Speaker 6 (01:16:47):
I'm gonna just I'm gonna say Debbie, I feel like
at least can get cut, that she's gonna get cut yea, yeah,
I mean I'm just going like, I'm just gonna.

Speaker 1 (01:16:55):
Go Yeah, Tester, got's gotten you this.

Speaker 6 (01:16:59):
I want it to be Peg and Cindy. I think
Cindy's gonna win. I would love even though I'm you know,
a very little skin of the game, and maybe I
honestly I would watch if it was Peg.

Speaker 7 (01:17:09):
Maybe it's so pro Peg.

Speaker 1 (01:17:11):
So I Peg is a star? Yeah, I Peg is
a star? Okay? Banana three two one? Who's getting cut
after Hometowns? Who's going to Fantasy Suites? Three two one?

Speaker 5 (01:17:24):
I think Debbie's getting cut as well. I think it's
gonna be Peg and Cindy for Fantasy Suite. Yeah, and
I think Cindy will win.

Speaker 7 (01:17:33):
We all think Cindy.

Speaker 1 (01:17:34):
All think Cindy. Okay, I think do I go with?
Do I go with you guys or you guys? I
think I think Parker Posey is getting cut Debbie, Debbie.
I think Peg is number two. I think Cindy's gonna win.

(01:17:59):
Who do you think that's right?

Speaker 7 (01:18:00):

Speaker 5 (01:18:01):
I think to either Carol or Peg?

Speaker 1 (01:18:02):
Which one I'm gonna go because I want to manifest it.
I'm gonna go with a rookie rookie and I'm gonna
pick Peg. But I think I'm wrong, But I hope
I'm right. Okay, now here we go review of the
week and tweeted the week. The review of the week

third in a trilogy. You get a book. Now, I'm
going to include we got some dms. We got some dms.

Five stars from Nick Week except this Rose was the
first Bachelor podcast I tried, and not only did it

(01:18:58):
get my first impression Rose, but it's the only one
I still listen to, so it's got my final Rose
as well.

Speaker 2 (01:19:04):
This show is honestly one of the best parts of
my week.

Speaker 1 (01:19:07):
Arden's infectiously positive energy is endlessly entertaining, and she brings
terrific guests like you All, who are just as funny
and unfiltered as she is, and the fantastic production team
that's you You hold.

Speaker 7 (01:19:19):
It All, fantastic protection team.

Speaker 1 (01:19:20):
Protection Listening feels like hanging out with a group of
friends who take the Bachelor franchise both way too seriously
and not seriously at all, which is exactly as it
should be. If you want a podcast that's warm, ridiculous,
and guaranteed to make you laugh out loud, this is
the one. Okay, I'm going to also have it in
the running. We got so many kind dms this week,

(01:19:42):
So many kind dms were said to me. I'll just
read you one. Here's one. This is from Lisa hi Arden.
I'm a huge fan of all except this Rose, and
I've been listening for a long time. I wanted to
comment to you. The personal stories that you share with
the audience always bring me such joy and meaning to
the Please don't ever stop. The same time that you

(01:20:03):
lost your cat last year, I lost my soul dog unexpectedly,
and it felt nice to share that grief with someone
going through it at the same time. Keep up the
great work, and I'm looking forward to the next episode.
So sweet, I mean truly, everyone has been incredibly kind.
I'll just read one more and then we can pick
the winner. Okay, here we go. Here's another one, and
there's there's so many. Here's some Shusha. I wanted to

(01:20:25):
jump on here and say how much you and your
podcasts are loved. Every tangent, every story, even in the retelling,
gives us more insight into what an amazing human you are.
Thanks girl, You don't owe any of us that, and
yet week after week, year after year, you pour yourself
into the onto the airwaves and make all of our
lives a little brighter. This summer has been a lot
in my life. We lost our dogs and divorce my husband.

Speaker 2 (01:20:45):
Your stories of braving.

Speaker 1 (01:20:47):
The world, being a champion, and manifesting what you want
in the world have been a cell for a sad heart.
I've taken the idea of having my own little mantra
where I remind myself that I am light, I am effervescent,
I am Champagne, and I pop.

Speaker 2 (01:20:58):
It's really been amazing for me to be my best.

Speaker 1 (01:21:00):
You have huge impact. Keep it up and things for
all you've done. Okay, which review gets the book.

Speaker 4 (01:21:05):
That last one?

Speaker 5 (01:21:05):
Yeah?

Speaker 7 (01:21:05):
If I am Champagne and I pop?

Speaker 1 (01:21:08):
Okay, guess what, Husha Rose, you get the book? You
are you. I'm gonna say it to you, Shusha. You
are light, You're effervescent, you are Champagne, and you pop.

back or thinking the cartel just rolled up and took
Carol from that date and they drove her away in
the car that was her Lassie. And then this is

(01:23:18):
from missus right a girl without a Hat. They want
us to believe Mela is a very spiritual person, but

Ruthie's Table 4

Ruthie's Table 4

For more than 30 years The River Cafe in London, has been the home-from-home of artists, architects, designers, actors, collectors, writers, activists, and politicians. Michael Caine, Glenn Close, JJ Abrams, Steve McQueen, Victoria and David Beckham, and Lily Allen, are just some of the people who love to call The River Cafe home. On River Cafe Table 4, Rogers sits down with her customers—who have become friends—to talk about food memories. Table 4 explores how food impacts every aspect of our lives. “Foods is politics, food is cultural, food is how you express love, food is about your heritage, it defines who you and who you want to be,” says Rogers. Each week, Rogers invites her guest to reminisce about family suppers and first dates, what they cook, how they eat when performing, the restaurants they choose, and what food they seek when they need comfort. And to punctuate each episode of Table 4, guests such as Ralph Fiennes, Emily Blunt, and Alfonso Cuarón, read their favourite recipe from one of the best-selling River Cafe cookbooks. Table 4 itself, is situated near The River Cafe’s open kitchen, close to the bright pink wood-fired oven and next to the glossy yellow pass, where Ruthie oversees the restaurant. You are invited to take a seat at this intimate table and join the conversation.
