He just needs to like commit and do it because
it's fucking hilarious. So I think he said yes to you.

Yeah, it's a ways down the road. I know he's
really baby stepping it right now. And uh, I don't
you know, I don't want to push him too hard,
but like, yeah, that's a great thing though, is if
I'm doing a show, I can put anybody on for like,
hey watch this person for five minutes, you know, and
it's a kind of a safe environment because it show
with you know, other comedians. And he's not all on.

Him, no, and he's fucking I mean, says really funny.
It's where he did a really good job so.

Well, he says he's throwing that material out and writing
new stuff. So I don't know, crazy like a comedian who.

He is is funny. I'm sure whatever he does will
be hilarious. Also, I didn't know what was interesting about him,
and he didn't talk about He didn't talk about this
on the podcast, but I'm sorry. In his stand up,
but his dad was like a fighter pilot, Like he's
a he's a military kid, and his dad was like

Also with this, just say, and this was even before
it was trendy to write for women. The best, the
best TV writer, a straight man, so so empathetic. This

guy writes so well for the female voice. And he
has his script that he's taking out right now in Hollywood,
and I want everybody to send him good vibes because
this guy can fucking write. Oh he's such a good writer.
He's so funny, and he writes with heart and bite.
So that's the combin. You can't go wrong with that combo.

I'm here's what I love. The surprise thing that I
love about this season him because there's a lot of
things I don't love, But what I do love about
this season is I love that the hottest commodity on

the beach, commodity on the beach, and not even an
ironic way, a sincere way, is Gary. And he went
from being kind of the goofy buddy, the friend who
just was like friend zone, like an actual hot lady lady,
like three person lady fight kind of over Gary with

like kind of to the hottest gals of the beach
because he's grounded, he listens, he's not a player. He's fun,
he's willing to lead them on. He's flirty. But I
feel like I like this surprise of our romantic hero

is Gary, and that that's my favorite part of the season.
I'm gonna let Doug we none of us. We all
thought April was gonna be the hatty bubbolattie. She's trying
too hard. She's a cutie pie. She's a cutie pie.
It seems like people like Faith and now Leslie, Leslie
and now faith running up on the horse. But overall,

how are you feeling about the addition of the Goldens?

Speaker 2 (10:21):
It has fixed a show that was broken. I mean
it's still broken, but you know what I mean. It's
like did they duck taped it nicely? You know, they've
made some interesting changes. I missed the corniness of the
opening intros of all the characters.

Speaker 1 (10:37):
It's very slick.

Speaker 2 (10:38):
Yeah, now it's slick except for you know, good old
Jack was just hanging out having a hamburger. He wouldn't
even stand up for his intro It's beautiful.

Speaker 1 (10:48):
Who stuck his tongue so deeply far down April's throat? Unsolicited?
So problematic, old white man, so gross. Okay, Bill, how
are you feeling about the season.

Speaker 3 (11:00):
It's a lot, it is, it's it's it's sensory overload.
And I feel like the almost throwing anything they can
against the wall from all not just Love Island, all
sorts of different shows. Yes, try to get Can I
have a question first, because you guys would know, I
would assume like is it working or more people watching?
Or is there a younger demographic?

Speaker 2 (11:19):
I don't know what the numbers are, Yeah, but it's
it's really like they sat down and consciously like just
very much stole the style of all like the Netflix
dating shows. Yeah, but I switch shot and edited and
more more emphasis on like uh pop, you know, poppy music.

Yeah, it looks like Peacock, it looks like Love Island.

Speaker 3 (11:40):
It looks like Yeah, I'm I'm I'm troubled. I'm troubled
by that because if it ain't broke, but they must
have thought it was broke.

I guess I think they lost the hotel. I think
there might have been I think they got kicked out
of the hotel. We're gonna have Wells as a guest
in a few weeks. Oh love them in person, just
throwing it out there.

Yeah, but look, it's still I can answer your question.
It still has the elements that I like and I
and I and yeah, the Goldens. How often can you
say a group of septagenarians saves the day?

Yeah, party, They're not like, oh my god, what are
they doing here? They're like the reason. It just makes
everybody happier, you know, Like, yeah, I feel like there's
less likely to be blow ups. There's still might be
some down the road, because it feels like they've.

Integrated well with some actual friendships. Like it feels like
we have April and Cat. Look I again, I still
give Cat most improved. I felt for her this tweek
on her side, I feel she got mean girled. First
of all, we'll get to we'll get there. Dale is
Dale's taking the lead of like prob these guys, these guys,

the young guys. No, it could also be the way
they're editing it that they're not showing us, like we
have seen nothing really of Spencer and Jess, who seem
to be happily falling in love. Like nothing we see.
So Sewn has behaved. Okay, he is what he is, Sean,
I mean, he's he is what he is. But the

other guys have just been pretty bad.

Don kind of like Steve Rogers. It feels like he
just got a shot or something and became got that
body because it does not match his like, you know,
a personality. Yeah, you know, he doesn't seem like a
Jim Rat. You know, he seems more like you know,
a nerdy you know, uhich.

Which guy you're talking about?

Sean? Oh?

Sean, Yeah, I mean I I look, you can't blame
someone for feeling the way they're feeling with God what's

you know, it felt like he used her a little bit.

So they're doing is setting up Jill. They're just like
lay waiting for her to slip and and and cry
because you know, they keep bringing her back to these
things and she's just not it's just not right. You know,
she's not a stupid weightlifter. Guy is not going to
fall for Jill.

Jill. I feel like Jill is high school me and
I have really I feel very protective of Jill and her.
I was like the funny friend to everybody that was
like never considered as like a romance and you and
like you're fully aware of it, like you know, when
you're invisible and they just want your friends and they
like kind of have you like they you know, it's

I've been that role before and it feels really bad.
It just does. And you try to be a good sport.
And she tried to leave and we'll get there. Okay,
before we start going, Katie, how did you feel about
this week five?

I mean, yeah, like all the dudes, like especially Dale
and then Jeremy too, I don't really understand what happened
with Brian and Paris, Like that was.

Confusing, right, Like I don't get that. I mean, we'll
get to it.

And jo Jonathan was bad. I rewatched it. His his
spitting during the day.

Is spitting out girls.

I get confused and midst I haven't dating in a
long time.

Dude, that was crazy. I was like, how handsome do
you think even the most even like Timothy Shallow may

So also, speaking of Jonathan, we have now had a
like what like a fourth woman. Just be like, I
don't know if emotionally we're connecting at all. Like he's
unable to like connect with these women.

It's so weird.

Well I will say this looking at the date and
we'll get there. But like you see what I think.
I really think it starts with our wonderful person who
sent us the email last week, who won the book.
I think he thinks he's so handsome when he did
the face wrap reveal as his big entrance on Jen season,
he came in in the Mummy rap that I think

he thinks his face is like Michelangelo, like carved it
out of because remember he came in for a week.
I feel like, I think, because he seems like a
nice guy, that he's actually so into his own looks
that he just sits back and like the only time

he sprung to life was when she said the word attractive,
and so you see I'm attractive, Like that was the
only time you leave the conversation.

I think that guy is like that's I think what
you're saying is right. It's kind of like what I
was taking about Sean, Like in his case, he's got
that face, but he you know, he doesn't know how
to be cool or or even takes takes simple cues
from people. In the first one of the first times
we saw him this season, he had a big piece
of fucking deodorant that's gross, and he just like puts

his arm down. It doesn't doesn't excuse himself to go
get that thing out of his arm pit. And then
when he during this other date, she's like giving him
a side on like that is so gross, and then
he keeps doing it like she's giving it that if
he stopped doing that, they can have a nice date.

No, I haven't rewatched it. The date almost made me
the maddest of the entire episode and the date. Really
watching back was pretty enraging. So here we go, faith
rides up on the horse and she said, I'm ready
to be the hoe of the show and all that
goes with it. Unfortunately there was no men there. Yeah,

take Patty on her date.

That would be the way to get rid of all

on paper and then you meet and they're really nice
person but it's just like Nope, but you don't click,
you know, and maybe none they're just not clicking Keith.

Keith might be what my friend is. Her theory is
when a guy's too tall that it diffuses them that
their personality is tall. They're just like I'm tall. He
might be like nice and tall, Doug, what do you say?

In conjunction with production, his his instinct was to stumble
in during his intro and oh man, you know what
I mean? Like, so he's he's he's definitely a kind
of a wacky guy. Yes, probably a bit you know,
too much on the everybody but they but he's enough
fun to like hang out with at the bar. So

He's like a guy's guy. Maybe he's drinking a lot.

I am surprised that I am surprised at his outfit

if they both came up with it together and they
fought over who got to say it, and they just

He seems like somebody who's been so pent up takes
one to Berlin and goes fucking nuts.

He's very creative, Kim, you know, any kind of creative outlet, singing.

The poem, the poem, worry about his heart like him.
He was really you know, he was really being like
intense when he was dressed up like a bird.

He was really too into it, Katie, Kim is a bird.

Speaker 5 (20:39):
I really, I honestly like disliked the whole bird thing
a lot. I felt like it was really scary. It
was scary, like I was like, it was like a
horror movie and I disliked.

Hey, I feel like they were trying to be white
Lotus in Thailand the night that all the that the
short kids the acid and made now.

His brother Yeah, okay, the bird thing. I'm sorry, but
but all right, look.

It's it's a beauty paradise. It's sort of like it
sort of organized chaos, which goes along with how my
brain works. Okay, So then Dale up top. Dale starts
off apologizing for being an absolute trash bag during the
last row ceremony, saying that they were raised differently, saying
I dedit it, I debit it, I debit it. And

then he's like I and I again most improved vip.
I'm gonna give one of my favorite gals to Kat.
I'm i, you know, a fresh take fourth time as
a charm. I feel like she looks beautiful. She looks
very much like her upcoming competitor who's coming in Alicia.
When they were kind of like having a cold lady

chat at each other at the end, I felt for her.
I feel like she's keeping her composure and she's absolutely
getting played by Dale, who turns out to be a
think quite arrogant and not a nice guy.

Speaker 3 (22:04):
Not a nice guy, No, not a horrible guy, but
a bad guy. What's so horrible?

Speaker 2 (22:10):
He just dug He just he thought. Every time she's
got a concern, he's like, well, that's not my concern.
You know, I did it it, I'm moving on. Let's
move on. He always wants to move on when they
haven't even discussed it. Really, Like, you know, she can
have she can have second thoughts and want to discuss
something a second time, like I who.

Speaker 1 (22:34):
Had sort of a temper last year. Like I feel
like she's having her own back, not being a pushover,
but like I feel like she's maintaining her I feel
like she feels more grounded and like making her case
from a place of strength. You know, I'm proud of
whatever therapy she's done. I feel like it's she has
some tools to express herself more, Katie.

Speaker 4 (22:57):
Especially because Dale like literally just keeps eying to her,
and it's like there's shit on camera. You're miked up, bro,
my god, Like he's a little kissing. So like she's
handling it very well considered.

Speaker 1 (23:10):
And she also brought up she also brought up the
background thing, which like, I know she has a rocky
relationship with her mom. I think she might not even
have any kind of speaking relationship to her mom, and
and like, you know, that's hard for anybody, and like,
and I feel like she's open about it on air.
He'd done no research. But so they come to sort

of a nice place at the beginning of the episode
and they're kissing. They're kissing, She's happy they're kissing. Then
Dale goes and does a body shot off of April
that enrages Kathy. Kathy does not want these kind of shenanigans.
What did you think of that, Doug?

Speaker 2 (23:48):
You know Kathy, I mean I think she'd be next
in line tohoul to have Dale do that to her.
You know, Like I don't be you know, I think
she's acting up because just because it's Kathy, you know,
she's she's always got something to say about everything.

Speaker 1 (24:06):
She did one well she did, she did one off
of one of her own age, done off of her
by Bail. April has a bang and bond at anything.

Speaker 2 (24:18):
Production just talked her into being mad about that, like that,
I can't imagine that, Like she really.

Speaker 1 (24:25):
Well, they had a feud off air and now she's
like jealous and maybe a little she might be. Also,
don't forget she's day drinking. Probably she's buzzed and jealous
for the airtime.

Speaker 2 (24:36):
Oh and heats the heat stroke must be to take
take playing.

Speaker 3 (24:39):
With I think she I think she was angry because
production tried to talk Kathy into doing a body shot
off a horse.

Speaker 6 (24:47):
She was not.

Speaker 3 (24:49):
That they would even ask her that.

Speaker 1 (24:52):
So Jonathan is making the creepiest mask out of an
old leaf that Leah goes and talks to um. She
takes it as a present and they both live in
LA they've met before. He's the only available man.

Speaker 4 (25:07):
Uh.

Speaker 1 (25:08):
Nancy meanwhile comes up a stun gun at any age gorgeous, beautiful?
Did Nancy self eliminate last time? Wasn't there like a
bridal dress? I remember her breaking down because her husband
had died. Didn't she cry in the bridal dress photo shoot?

(25:29):
I think she did. I think Joan's self eliminator, but
I don't know. Maybe Nancy just didn't. But Nancy's a babe.
And Nancy shows up and they all have their date
cards and Nancy pulls the stud of the season Gary
and Leslie is very upset. Now, if we remember Leslie,
Leslie can't handle the game part of this very well.

She didn't do well last time with the gaming aspect
of it. Nor I probably wouldn't either, but she really
doesn't do well. Dog do you remember that? Yes, she
they kept showing her on her underwear, which felt kind
of like a below deck move, and I was surprised
they were doing it to the goldens. But I gotta say,

all the goldens keeping it tight, shout out.

Out of her body clearly like she she works hard
at it. But uh, Gary is uh, he's just say
he just says yes, and I would love to now, yeah,
just because he you know, he just having a good
time going on these dates like uh, you know, I

don't think he's really committed to anybody at this point.
And there was nothing for her to be that upset about, because, uh,

to be shitty people doing shitty you know, behaviors. But
in this case, I have a theory that they've added
this new wrinkle where they're going to give couples that

And so I feel like that is a way to
guarantee so they don't have another season where they all
just walk away and nothing happened, or there's a couple
obvious you know people that will just break up once
they get outside.

Yeah, these couples are going to get paid for seeming
like they're very committed to each other. That was fine,
