Speaker 1 (00:00):
When it comes to professional wrestling. If you were talking
about it, we are talking about it. Welcome to the
wrestle Chat Podcast with the Yeah man, Wow it is.
It has been way too long. Thank god we had
the rock to let us know that now was the
time that we needed to come back.

Speaker 2 (00:18):
I'll tell you what. If it wasn't for the experience,
the wisdom, the almost omniscience of Duane Johnson, we wouldn't
be here.

Speaker 1 (00:31):
I know, I know, I'm neither with the world of wrestling.

Speaker 2 (00:37):
Single hand.

Speaker 1 (00:37):
Listen, we weren't. We haven't been on in a little while,
and we didn't have time to jump in on the
on the meme train while it was going on, So
we thought we'd just resurrect that meme for for a
hot minute. Welcome back to the wrestle Chat Podcast. My
name is the ant Man. His name is Michael Glavin. Listen,
We're just two dudes. We don't know any more than
you do about wrestling. Well, actually Michael does, he knows

(00:59):
a lot. But we just speculate about things that we
like and talk about things that we like and we
don't like and what could be improved, you know, from
our armchair quarterback positions in Texas and North Carolina. So
excited to hang out with you again. I feel this
is our excuse to actually, I mean, guys aren't gonna

(01:19):
jump on a FaceTime and just hang out and talk.
You know, girls do that all the time. We need
something like a wrestling podcast to do that with. So
I'm glad we're back at it again. It's good to
see your face.

Speaker 2 (01:29):
Absolutely same. It's it's you know, I think you know
you said it. We're regular guys, and we're regular guys
with families and summer hit and it's like, oh man, something's.

Speaker 1 (01:42):
Got to give and typically and probably if there was
going to be any time to do it, it's it's
in the lull of wrestling. And now this lull a
little different than it has been in the past. This
lull kind of just felt like a little dip. And
now we're back at Summer Slam and things are heading
back up. Of course, Summer Slam this Saturday from Cleveland.

(02:04):
I'm excited about this, excited to kind of first let's
hit rewind and talk about just some just a few
things that have happened since we were last on. We
were introduced to the to the White six s I
c k s UH with only five members at some point,
is there is that a lex of bliss coming back
into that group to actually make it an s I X.

Speaker 2 (02:24):
I don't. I don't think so, you know. I I
talked with a few different people, you know locally and
you know friends that I have across the country. I
think the sixth guy is, is uh the spirit of
of bray Wyatt or the Fiend?

Speaker 1 (02:40):
I that's good?

Speaker 2 (02:41):
Yeah, I don't. I don't think it's another person. I
think we've seen all there is to see and I
think the sixth person or entity is is bray Wyatt
or the Fiend?

Speaker 1 (02:54):
Interesting? And I don't even thought about that. See that's
what I don't get. When you and I don't talk
like this, we text along. I will say this too.
I was even watching on Monday night on RAW, and
I was like, Okay, I get these guys are new.
Where's Dexter Loomis? That guy could literally be in the

(03:14):
Witness Protection Plan right now. I do not recognize any
part of him that looks like the old Dexter Lumas to.

Speaker 2 (03:20):
You, not at all, and that do look scary like
you know ver Joe Gacy kind of came out and
I was say, he looks kind of Joe geish, gaycy ish.
But but dude, but I think they knew where they
were going with this for quite a while because they
pulled Dexter probably well over a year ago and just
put him on the shelf. He may have been injured too,

(03:42):
I don't remember, but he's been on the shelf for
a long time, so he had he had time to
grow his hair out, think about what he wanted to do,
put some time into it. But man, just overall, what
a powerhouse group. Just just crazy.

Speaker 1 (03:57):
We're gonna put you in the Witness Protection Plan and
you're gonna go buy the buzzard? Is that okay with you?
We were introduced, not introduced just as a first time
but if you are a follower of wrestling in general,
but especially in the WWE world, introduced to your favorite

(04:17):
person in the world right now, Joe Hendry, TNA talent,
huge hit and NXT. How cool is this for him?

Speaker 2 (04:24):
Dude?

Speaker 1 (04:25):
So good?

Speaker 2 (04:26):
And I want to be very clear, I'm not going
to pretend to be some sort of hipster that has
known about Joe Hendry all this time. I became I
Rode the wave with everybody else that became aware of him.
But you want to know where he really won me over.
And I even texted you this. This was weeks ago
he was on. He was on he did an episode

(04:48):
with Chris van Vliet. Shout out Chris, and just the
genuine love for wrestling and the genuine desire to do
things for the fans, like not just to propel his character,
but like he told this story about some I don't

(05:09):
remember who. It was a musical group that wrote a
song specifically to a tempo that you could jump to
and and he said he kind of took that approach
when he was making his theme song, and he said,
I very intentionally put the claps in there and the
song change it and the music changes and all that
type of stuff, because I wanted it to be an interactive,

(05:30):
you know, entrance experience for everybody. And you just you
see the passion for Rustling and the business just pouring
out of him. And as cool as it was to
be a part of, like the meme and the song
and all that, when I watched that podcast episode, he
just won me over immediately. And so I'm super excited

(05:52):
for that guy right now because he's everywhere. He's literally
in an XT, he's doing TNA, He's I think I've
seen him pop up on some independent stuff maybe like
it is. It is a good day to be Joe Hendry.
It's it's not russev Day anymore. It's Joe Hendry day.

Speaker 1 (06:08):
It's well, it's funny. Even yesterday he was on he
was back again on NXT. But it's NXT, NXT all
American Bash and Joe entries is like part of the
roster on NXD. I just wonder how long. And I
hope it's. I hope they give him time to cook here.
I mean, this popularity has popped kind of, you know,

(06:30):
very recent, but giving time to cook. But I'm looking
forward to seeing what he does when he inevitably moves
up to the main roster of WUE, because that's that's
gonna be fun to hear that same pop with fifteen
thousand people versus five hundred people, six hundred people, whatever
the place holds there for NXT. So that's gonna be
a lot of fun. And by the way, for tn A,

(06:50):
TNA is selling out their places now too. This has
slam a Versary sold out show like five six thousand people,
So congrats to them too. This this whole lack of
a better term and way overused forbidden door that has
always been there between WWE and anyone else. It opened
here with TNA and it's been very fruitful for a

(07:11):
lot of people for both companies. John Cena announced his
retirement year twenty twenty five while we were gone. What
do you hope to see from John that we haven't
in this last run coming up in January when Raw
moves over to Netflix.

Speaker 2 (07:27):
You know, I'm not really sure. I think that's obviously
they have a plan, because you're not going to announce
a year long retirement tour without having, you know, without
having some type of plan. What I hope, though, is
that it's not maybe I t it up like this.

(07:47):
I hope it's not the celebratory run around the bases
after you hit a home run. I hope that it's
not just a bunch of one off man. I know
the matches are going to be good. I'm not worried
about that, but I hope we get to see John
tell a story in whatever he's doing. And even you know,
I have probably referenced this match, this encounter on this

(08:11):
show more than anything else. It's probably dumb, but I
go back to Triple h and Takers setting up for Mania.
There was no other story other than two guys, two
titans that just wanted to see who was best. And
you know, there's part of me that wants to see
John and Randy Orton just it doesn't have to be,
you know, the viper Randy Orton, you know, hating on John.

(08:33):
It's just we've done this a lot, and now it's
time to decide who's going to go out on top.
And man, that could just it would just feel good.
There's a story built in there, you know. I remember
two thousand fourteen, maybe sixteen, somewhere in there when Randy

(08:54):
was a part of the authority and him and John
were battling back and forth for undisputed WWE Championship with
the Big Gold title and the w title. Those were
some great matches between those guys. And to see that
potentially come out of the woodwork again, that's just one
of a bajillion possibilities of some great things we could

(09:17):
see from John Cena. So to answer your question, I
don't know, but I have pretty good faith right now
that they won't.

Speaker 1 (09:23):
Drop the ball with it fun story between John Cena
and see them Punk as well, and Punk has already
started to position himself to be a part of that
at least a match in that year long run that
John's going to have here in twenty twenty five. Looking
forward to that one more before we jump into the
card for Summer Slam this weekend, a big announcement. Listen,

(09:44):
I thought that both announced teams on SmackDown and on
Raw were set and were great and cooking along and
doing very well, which I don't think. I don't think
they're saying that SmackDown is not They're just adding another
very variable, very a very sports centric person to that

(10:05):
mix that I think is just going to elevate it
even more. And Joe just testatory is coming over to
SmackDown to be a part of the team there, presumably
when that moves to USA. I believe that's in September,
so sooner than later. I think this is absolutely fantastic
that Joe's going to be a part of this team.
And I think that that you know, Corey Graves has
done a fabulous job as a play by play guy,

(10:27):
but he's also a chameleon. He can be anything that
you need him to be, and he excels at whatever
that is. Need him to be a babyface for somebody,
He's great at it, He'll sell it. He needs to
need him to be a heel for the heel, He's
right there at it. And I think that it's going
to be kind of cool to have him be a
floater fill in the gaps where Joe doesn't know the
wrestling part but definitely knows how to do play by

(10:49):
play for sure. And then of course, you know a
Wade Barrett, I mean, Wade's Wade is Wade, and Wade
does his thing and it's been awesome, I think, perfect
for SmackDown. And so rather than it being a problem
that they're trying to fix, there have something that's already
great that I believe is just going to be better.
And so I'm looking forward to having Joe a part
of the SmackDown roster, on the announced team there and

(11:12):
leading that charge and thinking about and mentioning the whole
sports centric side. If that's something I've I haven't had
a chance to watch. I would say as much as
we were leading up to WrestleMania over the last few weeks,
it's been here there and catching up, you know after
after shows are over with. But every time that I

(11:33):
pop in and you know, hit fast forward through the
stuff that that commercials and stuff that is kind of
fluffing a show, I'd always catch like people walking in
and I'm like, she's Luise, is this WWE or UFC
or is this before a big NFL game? Because that's
what that's what the presentation really is turning into and
really starting to look like. And of course they use
a lot of my favorite camera to the very shallow

(11:56):
depth of field speaking of you know, sports and video
games NCAA college football back on Xbox. I've been playing
that a little bit in some spare time, and it's
kind of funny playing it. I'm like, oh, this looks
like this looks like that camera in WWE when they
do a championship match. So it's really cool to see
them doing that and kind of adding it in the

(12:16):
right places. They always do that one long continuous shot
and it's different every time they do it from a
different point and place in the arena, and just I'm
excited what they're doing right now. And so the things
that we're not going to really get into them here,
maybe on an episode coming up, but things that I'm like,
I wonder what they're doing here that's going to be

(12:38):
they need to tread lightly on this or really think
this through because I'm kind of starting to tune out
of things. I stop and go and remember, oh, this
is not the same team that was doing that when
I would see stuff like I'm seeing now and go, oh, yeah,
this is the direction we're going, because nine times out
of ten, that is not the direction we're going now.
In wwe looking forward to Saturday. Uh, SummerSlam. This I

(13:02):
mean in it for me, it has always rivaled WrestleMania
in my book. I've just always loved SummerSlam. I like
the time of year, I like the cards. Typically, they've
always been really spectacular. This one no exception. I think
we start with La Night and Logan Paul. This this
build up has been fun and it's been it's actually
been longer than I thought it was going to be.

(13:23):
I thought this is gonna be something they did. I
don't remember what I was saying, like maybe right after
Mania and it was just gonna be a sudden thing.
And no, they started it basically right after Mania and
continued to build little things at a time, and finally
we're going to Logan Paul's hometown defending the title I

(13:44):
think only for the third time since he's had in
nine months or whatever. Does this mean he's dropping it?
I don't they really think that that even matters. What
I think it is is how they're highlighting both guys,
one that's you know, didn't come from this world, the
other guy who's spent his entire life it seems like,
in this world and both getting in time to shine.
How are you feeling about this match?

Speaker 2 (14:04):
I think it's going to be really good, and I
don't really know what to think because old school wrestling
booking would tell you that if we're in Logan Paul's hometown,
that guy ain't going over.

Speaker 1 (14:17):
That's right.

Speaker 2 (14:19):
Yeah, I think it's a great time for an La
Knight coronation. I said this, Uh maybe pre Mania, I
don't remember, but I feel like La Knight's in a
weird spot. I feel like he's bigger than the US title,
maybe not quite there for a world title yet in

(14:41):
terms of storyline and push, So I do want to
see him get some gold on him, but I'm torn
about the US title. If I'm being honest, if I
get it, no complaints whatsoever. But I think it just
fell at a weird place because when he was kind
of popping out, you know, GUNTHERER was still on a

(15:02):
really long run with the Inner Con title, and Sammy
and Chad were already in that mix, and there wasn't
really room over there. Regardless of all of that, It's
gonna be a good match. La Knight knows how to work.
Logan is very committed to developing his in ring stuff,
and everything we've seen from him is great. It's gonna

(15:23):
be really, really good. That's probably one of the matches
that I'm most excited about, just because you have two
larger than life personalities that are really gonna show up
and give it their best. So honestly, I'm cool with
whatever happens either way because I know that the powers
that be are gonna make sure it's a good story.

Speaker 1 (15:42):
I don't know that there's been anybody else though, to
in a credit to Logan, Paul on this that has
held a title for this long, only defended it twice
up until now, and has gotten the title over better
than Logan Paul has. He's had that thing everywhere he
goes tetris Old Championships. He's wearing the title, holding the

(16:02):
title at that thing. People are wonder what is he
a title if they don't know wrestling, wondering what that
title is, and of course he's happy to educate anybody
on that. I'm looking forward to that match as well, Michael,
That's gonna be a lot of fun see him punk.
Drew McIntyre. Man, this feels like a lot of real
life heat that has been building up. I saw the
post that I mean, I mean, Drew McIntyre is absolutely

(16:24):
fantastic on social media, and that is something that has
happened recently, or it feels like it has really the
tension anyway. But for him to post a picture of
Jungle Boy Jack Perry and it just says, yes, it's real,
Crius A River. I mean this, I don't want. I

(16:46):
don't think that ever would have been allowed and probably
would have just squashed the entire feud if Vince McMahon
were still in the chair. But this is something that
Triple H would have done when he was in DX.
It is exactly something he would have probably just if
he didn't give him the idea. He was applauding when
he walked through the door. Because it just builds so

(17:06):
much anticipation for this match, and then you've got Seth
Rolinson as the ref. I mean to say that there's
gonna be Shenanigan's and mishaps in this match. As an understatement,
what do you think the outcome is in this? Though?

Speaker 2 (17:20):
The whole time you were setting this up, I was thinking,
I have no idea which way this is gonna go.

Speaker 1 (17:25):
I have no idea.

Speaker 2 (17:29):
It's so interesting because the title just completely became omitted
from the story, which is not a bad thing, you know,
I was concerned. You and I have had some interesting
conversations over recent months where I said, man, I like
Damian Priest, but it just doesn't feel like it's all

(17:52):
the way there for him yet, like he's having a
good title run. And the reason I bring that up
is because I was worried that that Drew was gonna
take it off of him before he really had a
chance to grow into it, that Punk was gonna take
it off of him, that Seth was gonna take it back.
All of these four guys were in this situation together,

(18:13):
and now that the title is removed from the picture,
I take a little bit of a breath of relief
because now we're just telling a story about guys that
just can't stand each other. Yeah, and so whatever happens,
I know it's gonna be a good match. I'm I'm
interested to see. We've seen Punk do a little bit
since he's been back, but I feel like on this stage,

(18:37):
at this level, this is gonna be where we really
get to see a huge not first outing, but one
of the first big outings back in WWE. I'm curious
to see how he works and how he performs, and
and kind of what he can do. I'm not saying
he's not capable, but I'm just saying we haven't seen

(18:57):
it in a while, and so I don't know what
role Seth is going to play in it. I I
don't know, but it's it's gonna make me watch, that's
for sure. Did you take chemistry in high school?

Speaker 1 (19:09):
Huh? Yeah? Neither to die mainly because of because of
stuff like this. I was afraid of compounds like this
mixing and I would beat the blame for it. And
now we're putting these three compounds that I'm sure is
going to be flammable in a ring this Saturday, and
I'm here to watch. I like watching things blow up.
That's Demolition Ranch. I love that.

Speaker 2 (19:32):
Yeah, what do you think the odds are that that
seth Rollins does a call back to Sean Michaels and
wears like the booty shorts and the Halter top rep shirt.

Speaker 1 (19:42):
Has to Okay, So if I, if I was, if
I was really well prepared, I would have had this
so we could put it up on screen. But I
saw an amazing meme this week and it was a
It was from Lion King and it had you know,
uh Mufasa and Scar you know, going lunging at each
other and it said, you know, Drew MacIntyre and see

(20:04):
him punk and the bottom half of it had to
moan in the It's like seth Rawlins like this is
a perfect means it's so good. Bailey and Nya Jacks
are going head to head for the WU Women's title.
This is the title match that Nya Jack's got for

(20:26):
becoming Queen of the Ring. It's if she wins. It's
a short lived title reign for Bailey. Me personally, I'm
not sure how Bailey comes out of this with it,
unless there's some shenanigans that go on between I've almost
said Trish Stratus but but but at Tiffany Stratton and

(20:51):
uh and Nya Jacks. It feels like something's gonna blow
up there and if it does, it happens in this match.
I think Bailey goes on top and maybe almost called
actriction again that Tiffany, she probably hates that too, Tiffany
Stratton cash is in Maybe that that briefcase. Is this
where we see both you know, both briefcases cashed in

(21:11):
early uh from when they win it. How are you
feeling about this match and the outcome of it at
the end of Saturday.

Speaker 2 (21:19):
I love what Bailey's doing. My opinion on Nya Jacks
has not really changed. I say this every time. I'm gonna,
I'm gonna and I'm gonna do the disclaimer like I
always do. I have no issues with her as a person.
She seems very cool, very sweet, very genuine. I was
shocked when she showed back up because unless there's a

(21:44):
fan base that doesn't exist on the internet, never talks,
never writes letters, and is completely silent in the arena.

Speaker 1 (21:52):
I don't know who's rooting for Well, yeah, I don't.

Speaker 2 (21:55):
I don't mean that I don't know, you mean, but
I'm still not seeing a big change in her in
ring ability. It still feels feels very stiff and not
safe and a lot of different things, And so I I,

(22:15):
I don't know. I hope that it's not a clean
cut match. I hope Naya doesn't go over. Sorry Naya,
but I'm not I'm not super jazzed up for this match,
if I'm being honest, I feel like the story has
been pretty weak going into it. Yeah, we it's a
King of the Ring setup. I get that, But I

(22:37):
mean when you compare what we've seen with Bailey and
Naya versus Damien and Gunther, it's night.

Speaker 1 (22:45):
Way different night good day. And I almost forgot it
on the list too, if that tells you anything.

Speaker 2 (22:50):
Yeah, And I.

Speaker 1 (22:51):
Feel like there's one more and I found it.

Speaker 2 (22:53):
I think when you have you know, I think people
make an assumption, even maybe like I accidentally just worded
it now like oh well, they just haven't put any
stock into that rivalry. I don't think that's the case.
I think stuff just naturally evolves, and we have a
ton of other stuff that are on this card that

(23:13):
are just hitting super hard and on you know, a
March pay per view or something, maybe this match would
hit harder than it is now, But the reality is
it doesn't have a lot of steam for me going
into it. I hope they prove me wrong. I really do.
I really hope that they're able to do a barn

(23:34):
burner and and make something really cool out of it.

Speaker 1 (23:37):
One thing I do love is it feels like this
entire card, all the title matches, it's even including and
we'll get to it here in a bit, but Cody
and Solo like there's still a chance that the title
changes hands on every single one of these title matches,
so that if you go into a pay per view

(23:57):
and know that there's no way that person's losing this title,
it kind of brings the temperature down. I think it's
vible that every title changes hands. Let's move over to
one that I'm kind of thinking really could happen, Sammy's
Ay and Brown Breaker. Is there anything but a mac

(24:17):
truck that could stop bron Breaker at.

Speaker 2 (24:19):
The moment, I don't know. That's it's interesting because I
said that about his last title shot and I was wrong,
And so I think this is the new age of
storytelling in the WWE because I think in a previous

(24:40):
regime we would have been like that guy's hot, put
the title on him. But that's not the story. The
story is is you still have a grizzled veteran who
is defending his title against an up and comer, and
as great as bron Breaker is, he's still an up
and comer. And and I think it serves the story

(25:01):
correctly for both guys that Broun did not go over
last time. Yeah, And I think that as we build
this tension in this push and pull, maybe he doesn't
ever win the title at all, and maybe it is
the veteran that continues to come out on top and
he moves on to something else. But the one thing

(25:21):
that is for sure is that it's being done super
well because bron Breaker lost to Sammy's Ain and the
amount of momentum that he lost as a character and
as a force was goose egg and he is still
strong and just like you said, is there a mack
truck that can stop him? No, But that doesn't mean

(25:43):
he's winning a title either. And so there's just a
really cool thing that they're doing with this situation that
shows a lot of restraint, a lot of slow play
and a lot of wisdom.

Speaker 1 (25:57):
Something very interesting WWE is doing right now, as well
as capitalizing on the entire weekend and not just the
night of SummerSlam. Both Sammy Zain and Damian Priest have
theater shows. I get Sammy Zay, he's doing comedy. What
is Damian Priest doing is? I don't I don't know

(26:18):
what that show. I just saw a night with Damian Priest.
I'm like, are we going to dinner? Are we working out?
Are we throwing access? What are we doing here?

Speaker 2 (26:25):
In all seriousness? You know, he he's done interviews where
he I mean, people don't realize he's older than he looks. Yeah,
he's like I think he's young forties maybe and uh,
and he tells I don't know his full story. I
just I heard I hear the headlines that he says.
But before he started wrestling a lot later than people

(26:46):
normally do, he was like homeless and didn't really have
anything going on in his life. And so part of
me wonders if his show is just telling his life
story and just like encouraging people that like, hey, it's
it's not too.

Speaker 1 (26:57):
Late to do something you want to do. Yeah, this
is that other King and Queen of the Ring title match.
Gunther take it on Damien Priest for the IC title. Uh.
You said this earlier that the build up for this
one it was much better than the Bailey Nya Jack's
build up, and man, you're so right on that. I'm
Damien Priest has had a couple of hiccups. Specifically the

(27:20):
last one that he had when he I mean even
even trible h said in the press conference afterwards, somebody said,
you know, the perceived that he didn't, you know, lift
his shoulder and get his shoulder up and count of three.
He's like, yeah, yeah, it didn't look like he did
it either. I didn't see that either. He didn't get
his arm up. Was that his mistake? Ref mistake?

Speaker 2 (27:41):
You know?

Speaker 1 (27:41):
I don't know. But the deal is is it feels
like there's been a couple of hiccups with him in
this title run. He still has all the support from
the people that he needs to have it, but maybe
the fans or is that just me and you? I
don't know.

Speaker 2 (27:58):
Somebody pointed out it was either like a like a
YouTube reel short something, but somebody had spliced his entrances
over the last over the last several months since he
won the title, and unless somebody did a really good
job of pumping in crowd noise, which I don't think

(28:20):
they're doing anymore. He's over people are people are digging him.
I know, I am. I mean I I It's not
that I disliked him ever from the start, but you
know I was indifferent when he first got going. But
he's settling into it, and he's and he's he's got
that championship vibe. He's separating himself from the Judgment Day.

(28:42):
I'm more than happy to see more of him. The
struggle comes in is that it's also Gunther, and so
it's uh, I can see it going either way. I mean,
I don't think either option is gonna shock me. I
I don't know that I can see Gunther losing clean.

(29:02):
If I'm being honest, I could see Damian losing clean.
So I'm not sure what all that looks like. But
the best thing I can say that I also said earlier,
is they're gonna make me watch and I'm not mad
about it.

Speaker 1 (29:18):
Well, Judgment Day made a point to say that all
the matches from coming up on this weekend will all
be done just with the person. There'll be no judgment
day out there with Damian Priest so excited to see
what happens there. I mean, that would be pretty massive
for Gunther to win the world title. Not undeserving, but
it would be really cool for him to see where

(29:39):
he's come from, to do what he's doing now, and
to just continue to elevate stair step his way up
and already at a world title match. And he's believable
if he walks out of there with it, and it's
also believable if he doesn't, which is just another testament
to where everything is right now. Our favorite telenovella, Live
Morgan in Rhea Ripley for the women world title. You

(30:01):
know that Dirty Dom's gonna be involved in this some way.
This is the one unless domless things get weird and
he ends up siding with Liv Morgan. I see Rhea
Ripley just getting her title back and us moving forward
with the crazy psycho just always cooking, you know, rabbits

(30:24):
in her in her kitchen being Liv Morgan. Do you
kind of see this one going that direction? Do you
feel like there's gonna be some twisting turns in this?

Speaker 2 (30:32):
I think there's gonna be some twisting turns. I saw
I saw a meme. I don't remember exactly what it was,
but they were talking about the things that Live has
done for Dom. It's like, got him chicken nuggets, judgment, Yeah,
got him chicken nuggets, gives him back rubs, you know,
lists a couple other things, and it's like, or you've
got the chick that yells at you all the time,

(30:54):
who you gonna pick?

Speaker 1 (30:55):
You know?

Speaker 2 (30:55):
And I'm gonna make just a random prediction. I think
Dom is gonna cost Rhea Ripley the match.

Speaker 1 (31:05):
That's kind of what I'm thinking too. It kind of
feels like it's going there day yeah.

Speaker 2 (31:08):
And and if that doesn't happen, that's fine, but it
feels appropriate. I think Rhea's story with the title is
done for now. I think she's great as a champion,
has done all kinds of great things in her run,
but I don't know that it makes sense to put
that back on her right now. I think she's more

(31:30):
valuable chasing it for a while.

Speaker 1 (31:32):
Yea, than she is having it.

Speaker 2 (31:35):
And so I think something's got to happen the low
hanging fruit as Dom does that. It could be something else.
Maybe Dom tries to help Ria win and cost her
the match accidentally. So, but this is another one that
I'm really excited for because this is probably the most
story dense match that's on the card and kind of,

(32:01):
like you said, it's like a telenovella thing and and
it's so not serious, but I'm so into it for
some reason. And uh, I think it's I think it's
gonna be really good. Both both of those women can
fight and wrestle really well, and so I think I
think we're gonna get something really really special out of that.

Speaker 1 (32:22):
Well, if you go back to when you you heard,
you know, Rhea and and Dom were in the ring
and Live comes up to the just to the entry
way of section one oh five or whatever, and she's
up there talking in her in her Daisy dukes and
uh and showing it all off and he screams, I
hate you. The crowd wasn't into that. They were looking

(32:46):
for the three words of I love you, and you
could tell that's where they wanted it to go, at
least in that arena, which was very interesting because they've
really been all about you know, Riha and Dom together
for the for the longest time we all have. But
just to see the crowd react the way they did
was really more mixed at best. Uh may help shape

(33:10):
some of the direction for this as well. Seven matches
on this card, which is a lot for w W
at this point. It's like four seems four maybe five
seems to be like the best place to be, which
I love. That gives it time to tell stories. But last,
but certainly not least as Cody Roads and Solo Soca
the w WE title. A lot of people think that

(33:31):
maybe this is where Roman Reigns comes back. I saw that,
you know, Eric Bischoff is like, that is the furthest thing.
That's that he should be far away from Summer Slam
and not come back there. It should be some way.
I don't remember where he said that they should, or
even if he did, I just saw a clip of it.
But the point is, man, when he when? So when

(33:53):
Roman does come back, it's going to be massive. So
what do you need it for Summer Slam or do
you just use this to continue to help build that story?
This is one that you know, I mean for the
way things the way the bloodline runs and with the
help they continually have always had no matter, I mean,

(34:13):
there's only been two people in charge of the Bloodline
at this point, but they've always seemed to find a
way to come out on top. I just wonder, is
this where Cody loses it for a minute and gets
it back, or are we going to see him hold strong?
And you know he's not gonna have John c and
he's not gonna have Undertaker, He's not gonna have all
these other people with him like at WrestleMania. What happens

(34:38):
when he has his first real test with the bloodline again?
Be thinking, I don't think.

Speaker 2 (34:43):
That this story is that complex with where we're at
right now. Solo Sokoa is an impostor tribal chief, oh absolutely,
And as an impostor, you think you're something you're not.
And the reality is that Solo Soca is not Roman Reigns.

(35:06):
He can't hang in there with somebody like Cody. Cody
is Super Siena version two. And I think what's gonna
happen is Cody's just gonna win clean. And what that's
going to do is set the stage for Roman to
show back up and go, It's cute what you did.

(35:27):
But now the tribal chief is back and and I
think it can be as simple as that. Are there
a million variables in that? Oh yeah, but I just
I don't see. I would say Solo grabbing the title

(35:48):
for a short period of time doesn't help Solo Soca,
it doesn't help him get heat, It doesn't do anything.
But it hurts Cody a lot. Even if it's a
complete like screwed him over, you know, the whole bloodline
made sure that he lost. Even if it's not or
the furthest thing from clean, it's gonna hurt him bad

(36:11):
because Solosiko is just not the guy you want to
drop the title to temporarily, and so at least not yet,
not yet, And so I kind of think this just
runs from point A to point B. It's a clean match.
We get some interference from the bloodline, super Cody takes
care of all of it. And here in the next

(36:32):
month or two, we see Roman Reigns coming back to
to you know, whoop some people and get the bloodline.
You know, I don't I don't know what we're getting
down the line. I don't want to get too far ahead,
but are we getting bloodlined versus bloodline for a Survivor series?
Are we gonna have big just these big faction elements

(36:54):
week in and week out for a while. Whatever's going on.
You know, it's very clear that we have have two
iterations of the bloodline, and I think we're gonna see
those things kind of set in place.

Speaker 1 (37:09):
After SummerSlam. We have one more not a match, but
one more celebrity a part of this whole thing, Jelly
Roll performing live at summerslant and and and I'm still
this this were a prop bet, I would bet on
it doing the Worm with Otis. I'd like to see

(37:30):
Jelly Roll and Otis doing the Worm again. I can
make that happen. He seems like an interesting cat, that's
for sure. And you know, I will say that the
last live performance was with Hardy and it was one
of the worst sounding performance. Hardy is actually a really
good performer, the sound was atrocious. That was at Royal

(37:53):
Rumble in San Antonio, and I think I think everybody
talked about that performance till the end of the show
when the actual big Royal Romo match happened, and even afterwards.
So just keeping my fingers crossed that they've got the
sound already worked out for Jilly at this one. Mister
Roll will not be very happy if it sounded like
a hearty yes, I would call him mister role if

(38:16):
you were here right now. Looking forward to Saturday, looking
