Wrestle Chat podcast. We got a lot to get clued,
including Bahala, Yes this is Heer Valhalla. Sarah Rowe is
on the podcast with us. Here day all right, Monday,
let's talk rawl. I want to say over the I
think it was over the weekend there was a lot

(02:06):
of buzz about brock Lester. He appeared back on the
ww website there on the roster page, so it left
really the entire universe talking about brock Leicester. We're gonna
see a return for a Brock at Russell Mania. We
we've got a gauntlet match for the ic match against
Gunther gatlet match. A bunch of guys go in. Whoever

(02:26):
wins moves on, whoever doesn't is out. We're gonna hear
the music. At some point we got to hear Brock
Lesner's music at him come out to this right. We
get all the way to the very end, Sammy's Ain wins.
Here comes Brock, but we don't get Brock. This was
the opposite of many surprises that we always get. It
was the anti surprise. The the fun time is when

(02:48):
you're caught off guard, like we were with See Him
Punk and his surprise at Survivor series. This was the opposite.
It was no Brock. You know, if it's if it's
not Brock and Gunther at Mania. I don't really see
the Beast to make an appearance at all at Wresselemania,
do you.

Speaker 3 (03:04):
Michael, I wouldn't think so. You know, sure, there's a
minuscule chance that we could be setting something up for
Summer Slam, but man, usually WrestleMania is not the start
of storylines, it's the finish of storylines. And so you know,
there there was a lot in me that wanted to
see Brock make an appearance. Just because particularly that match

(03:28):
between Brock and Gunther is something that we've wanted for
a while and just hasn't materialized yet, and so the
hope was that that was going to be the thing,
but so far it's not looking to be that way.
And of course no shade is intended towards Sammy's Ain.
Love that guy, but but with his booking recently, it

(03:51):
doesn't quite feel like the mania caliber intercontinental title match
that we really want. And so again that's no shade
towards Zammy. Sammy just a long term booking thing that
we want to feel and pay attention to. But who knows.
We still got three weeks. Maybe something could go down.

(04:11):
Wouldn't be the first time that Brough to jump somebody
in a parking lot, that's for sure.

Speaker 1 (04:16):
Yeah, I'm with you. I don't know how I feel
necessarily about a match between Gunther and Sammy's Ain. There
doesn't always have to be a build, but the story
with Gunther is that he is the longest raining intercontinental
chimp ever, he holds the record, He is the man,
So I would think that that would be worthy of
a match that had and tread and lightly kind of

(04:39):
like you did a match that had a credible threat,
and it's not even that sammy'se Ain's not a credible threat.
I mean he is, he's legit, he's a former honorary use,
but is there anything that makes him a credible threat
right now? To Gunther's title reign, there's still you know,
we talk about this a lot with ae W. There's

(04:59):
great matches, but there's no stories. Of course, this is
gonna be a great match because both of these guys
are just incredible, But what's the story here that that
he's going after that he being sad he's going after
Gunther's title. I mean, but he's he being I keep
saying he's when you talk about Gunther, He's just rolling

(05:20):
through people each and every week and it doesn't matter
who it is. That's why I was shocked to not
see brock Lessner after him popping back up on the
on the page to go, because that guy would have
to be a credible threat to Gunther's Inner Continental title.
Do you feel the same?

Speaker 3 (05:36):
Absolutely? Uh, the the the the feeling of it would
be not if Brock could do it, but will Brock
do it? In the sense of, you know, do we
want to see a Brock Intercontinental title run. You know,
especially with mid car titles so important on week to
week television, you know what it made sense for Brock

(05:57):
to win the IC title and then.

Speaker 1 (05:59):
The off TV for weeks at a time.

Speaker 3 (06:00):
I don't know, but the thing is, if Rock's going
into that match, you're feeling at minimum fifty to fifty
about the outcome of that of that match, and man,
just what a brutal and amazing match that would be.
And let me be clear, and I am throwing some
shade here, it would be a brutal match in which
you don't have to jump off a ladder, fly through

(06:23):
some glass, do all kinds of grotesque shock and all
wrestling things. But it would be a brutal wrestling match,
and that is harder to do than the shock and
all and those boys they do it well.

Speaker 1 (06:37):
Well, I think the only thing, and I know this
isn't going to happen either, but the only thing I
kind of see happening with Guntherro and Sammy Zain is
a squash match at Wrestle Media. Because you've seen Gunther
just roll through people. That would be one of you go, yeah, man,
this is like the starter match. And I mean, I
don't know. Starter matches have been on fire lately. I'll
give them three weeks. I'm anxious to see how they

(06:59):
build this over the next weeks on RAW. I'm also
anxious to have Valhalla join us here on the show.
Sarah Rowe is going to be here on the show

(08:47):
Hala is s That is a that is a literal
statement because Valhalla is here, the heart and soul of
the Viking Raiders and now a children's book author. Sarah
Rold Welcome to the Wrestle Chat. Thanks for being on
with today. Good to see you.

Speaker 2 (09:03):
I was so welcome. Thank you. A funny fact about
that music, we didn't know my name was going to
be a Valhallow when we.

Speaker 1 (09:10):
Had the music, No way for real.

Speaker 2 (09:13):
So we did those promos like Vahala is coming, Vahala
is coming, And then we were trying to go through
legal to get a name for me and we didn't
shut down at every turn. We're trying a bunch of
different names, and Hunter was like, screw it, try Valhalla, like, oh,
surely Valhala is taken, like it's a very widely used
and it was open. So it like worked out perfectly.

Speaker 1 (09:36):
Sometimes things just aligne right, Yeah.

Speaker 2 (09:38):
I really did. We were like, Wow, it's amazing.

Speaker 1 (09:40):
That's really cool. That's really cool. All right, let's take
a look at this real quick. I'm excited about this
right here A seeve your book From the Farm to
Our Table April second. The world gets to see a
completely different side of you. From the release of From
the Farm to Our Table, You're f first ever children's book.

(10:01):
Was this a bucket list item? Adding a children's book
author to your bio?

Speaker 2 (10:05):
I do. I do love to write every writing for
a while, and I just kind of write for myself.
But I was trying to find a book for my
son that was about farming in the way that we farm.
We have a very regenerative agriculture, sustainable like Stewards of
the Land farm. And it was very like I had

(10:28):
to write of the book. It didn't exist. The book
I wanted did not exist.

Speaker 4 (10:31):
So I just wrote it myself and No Road Publishing took.

Speaker 2 (10:36):
Me under their wing and helped me get it presentable,
you know, and helped me find this illustrator. Her name
was Amanda Morrow, and she did a beautiful job like
Leo and Findlay and their parents with the little dog,
and they even put the cows that I have in
like it.

Speaker 3 (10:53):
It.

Speaker 2 (10:54):
It really warms my heart to see that it's like
I wrote this book like two years ago before I
got resigned, So it has been a journey in the making,
that's for sure.

Speaker 1 (11:03):
Well, so many people see the negatives when something like
a release happens. But would this have happened if you
were on the road all the time.

Speaker 2 (11:12):
No, And I wouldn't have had my son like it
when you know, when the COVID releases were happening and
I got that call, like honestly devastated, and you know, Eric,
my husband was like, is having a baby? I was
like sweet. It really helped me like shift my focus.
And so no, this wouldn't have happened. My son wouldn't

(11:32):
have happened at least like not in the time rome
that it did. Like I did want to have children,
but you know I was, I was wrestling, so it
uh yeah, this this this book would I'd be here
today if you know the trials and tribulations that was
COVID did not happen.

Speaker 1 (11:47):
Is that the Is that really? How simple? The conversations go, Hey,
let's have a baby, Okay, cool.

Speaker 2 (11:53):
Well maybe if we hadn't have talked about it at
all before, But like Ray is very protective over me,
and it uh or Eric Ray Eric, so we weren't
having you know, he was the strong and steady of
like us at having children quite yet because we're trying
to make money wrestling and and so like when the

(12:15):
wrestling got removed and I'm devastated, He's like, now's the time.

Speaker 4 (12:19):
And I was like, yes, how's the time.

Speaker 2 (12:21):
I want to have babies. I love babies. I can't
wait to have more bandies. But it, uh, yeah, this
book wouldn't have wouldn't have been written written without that.

Speaker 1 (12:30):
What's the back and forth like between you and the illustrator.
Is she drawing and coloring and stuff and sitting into
you and going, yep, that fits exactly what I was ordered?
Do you make tweaks or do you just leave that
all up to her?

Speaker 2 (12:42):
I kind of gave like an overview of what I
would like and and kind of how and she had
the whole book, you know, she had the whole story
to kind of go off of, and she did a
fantastic job kind of putting together what I was envisioning,
and we like made a couple of tweaks. But she

(13:02):
was a very quick and fast and she responded very
well to the little tweeks I did want to make
and she knocked out of the park like it. I
remember the books get in here and Ray was like,
looks so professional, and I was like, why, what'd you expect?
But but yeah, she like I wrote the book obviously,
but she brought it to life in a way that

(13:24):
I could not have. I'm super super thankful.

Speaker 1 (13:27):
That's awesome. Speaking of your bio, your Instagram mentiones regenerative farmer,
and you mentioned that a butcher and a hunter and
that's not something you just type into to a bio.
This is this is your way of life. We see
it all over your Instagram and your post. But for
those that don't know, can you explain what regenerative farmer means?

Speaker 2 (13:48):
So, regenerative farming is a farming practice that regenerates the
soil that the animals are on. And so I have
a roughly ten ache or plot that I rotate, rotationally
graze my cows on, so every day they're on a
new plate o, they're on a new pasture. So what

(14:08):
your goal is is, because the cows are on some
grass and they eat a down way too low, the
grass won't grow back is nice and they end up
squishing it. Down and they'll end up rutting everything up.
But if you like, just let that meet half of
the grass, they're getting the most nutritional part of the grass.
They're fertilized and air rate in the soil but not
too much. And so I have like a thirty day

(14:30):
of rotation. So every day we move the cows onto
different pastures, and the grass is so wash and beautiful,
Like we have so many insects and we have a
great like biodiversity in our farm. And the cows are
like I don't have to doctor anymo my animals. They're
all super healthy. The cows are all grady and like

(14:52):
you can't forget. Like I raise my animals for beef,
I raise them for food. So it takes us like
three and a half years to get a cow or
a bull or steer.

Speaker 4 (15:03):
Up to butcher weight.

Speaker 2 (15:05):
So I'm out here every day with these animals, like
moving them and bonding with them and making sure they
have the best they could ever want. And then one
day I have to go outside and harvest the animals.
So it's a very it's a lot different than hunting,
for sure, harvesting and animal that you've raised to eat,

(15:27):
and it's it's it's a process that I try not
to be shy about because I think it's it's important
that we understand the weight and the sacrifice behind our food.
And it's a thing that like my friends and family,
I'm like heym.

Speaker 4 (15:44):
Butchering day is such and such day.

Speaker 2 (15:45):
Please come and at least witness what you're doing when
you eat the hamburger.

Speaker 1 (15:52):
You know where it came from.

Speaker 2 (15:53):
Yeah, and it's uh, it's it's a very I think
the sadness that I have and everyone has when they
come and see us harvesting animal is part of the
kindness I'm giving them. Like the day I'm not sad
that I'm taking an animal's life to feed my family's
the day I need to sell the whole stink and farm.

(16:14):
So it is a This book was a attempt to
be able to explain to children and give parents the
the to give parents the outlet and the you know,
and the way to explain to their kids where their

(16:34):
food comes from in a way that's not like I
And I'm trying to wrap my brain around probably doing
like a harvesting book to do it in a way
that's not that's gentle and that's you know because every
you know, a lot of people eat meat. A lot
of people eat meat, and we've never been so disconnected

(16:55):
from that fact. So I would like to open the
discussion to bring people back in to, you know, knowing
where the food comes from, even if that it's you know,
it doesn't have to be starting your own farm and
being a psycho like I am. Like it just you
could find a local farm or you know, if you
see some cows down the road, maybe knocking on the
door and asking to meet them, like most farmers are.

Speaker 4 (17:17):
Like, please come be my cows.

Speaker 2 (17:19):
I love my cows. So uh it is. I'm trying
to kind of educate with the book and even on
nome Road Publishing dot com there is an educator resource
section where you can print out a sheet and it
kind of tells you ways to use the book to
have these discussions with discussions with your kids, like use

(17:39):
the book to maybe go and try to like.

Speaker 4 (17:43):
Resource your own food.

Speaker 2 (17:45):
And little activities you can do with your kids to
make them more familiar with their food. I know a
lot of parents struggle with my kid only eats pizza
or Mikey only eat this and this and this, But
like in my experience. If you have the kid more
involved with what they're eating, they're going and be more
inclined to eat it. Like if the kids go to
a chicken coop and get the egg out, You're like,
we can eat this, They're like what?

Speaker 4 (18:07):
And then So it's a lot.

Speaker 2 (18:11):
It's amazing to see how the like brain waves going
of a kid that's like learning where their food comes from.
And I'm hoping to help parents start those conversations with
their kids with this book.

Speaker 1 (18:27):
Listen, I'm trying to I'm trying to just make sure
and get the weeds out of my front yard, and
I'm still having a problem with that. We need to
talk more specifically about this because we don't go to
the supermarket to buy our ar meet. We go to
the butcher and the small town. It's grass fed, you know,
as much as right now we can know about it,
that's where we go. So I'm super fascinated by this

(18:49):
conversation and love that you're starting with a children's book,
because i mean, one, do you know how many parents
are going to learn from this just for reading this
and then obviously teaching kids too, and knowing that I
want to I want to throw something else up here too, though.
We'll see this right here. This is how most of
us were introduced to you, the Riot squad, you Live
and Ruby. This is how first photo. Is that it

(19:12):
right there? Were you all all friends before this? Or
was this the reason you became friends?

Speaker 2 (19:17):
Me and Ruby were okay. We we worked the independent
wrestling scene together for five years up until this point.

Speaker 4 (19:25):
We knew Live from the performance center, but.

Speaker 2 (19:27):
We weren't like, like, we were nice and interacto, but
we weren't what I would consider friends. So this was
a like the fact that I got caught up with Dori,
which was Ruby whatever the hell her name is? Uh,
was A was a godsend. She was you know, we
were already such good friends and and Live is so

(19:51):
personable and outgoing and like she just made her way
into the group like she'd always been there, you know
that she we'd all been friends for we were all
friends for the past five years. So it was a
we had a nice family dynamic, like I was the
dad door in live with our child, and it Uh,
it was a it was a sitcom in itself for sure.

Speaker 3 (20:14):
Was there anything that that that kind of had you
guys formed together? Was this just something that creative had
come up with, or was there something that naturally brought
you guys all together to form the riot Squad.

Speaker 2 (20:27):
I honestly have no idea.

Speaker 4 (20:29):
I've heard rumors that Vince.

Speaker 2 (20:32):
Liked the Suicide Squad and wanted like a like Harley
Quinn kind of girl, a strong girl, and like a
you know, alternative girl. And but I don't know how
we were chosen. I don't know that you don't know.
I don't know. I've thought about asking road Dog, but

(20:54):
I think he was in the room for when it happened,
but it's never come up yet. I need to do that,
but I don't know.

Speaker 1 (21:02):
Let's take a look at it. Look at this one too.
This is your squad now, the vacus you seem to
be especially fond of in this picture of the guy
on the left, You're right in this picture. How'd you
and Er get together.

Speaker 4 (21:15):
Again?

Speaker 2 (21:15):
We met before w I got booked at a Ring
of Honor show and I saw Eric wrestling, and I
was like, oh wow, this guy is I like like
this a lot, and I like had never like try
to like put the game on someone before. And Ray

(21:35):
is very like he's that guy that people are like
is he mad, you know, when he's just that's just
his space. So it showed me a while to kind
of break that. Yeah, I could break that mold open.
But he is. Ray is literally the light in my life.

Speaker 4 (21:52):
Like he's the reason that I feel.

Speaker 2 (21:55):
He's the reason that I'm able to like be in
such a feminine space now, Like that was a very
you know, masculine chick, you know.

Speaker 4 (22:05):
Like I take care of me and I don't need nobody.

Speaker 2 (22:08):
And and Ray made me feel safe enough to start
like meeting others and letting myself be taken.

Speaker 4 (22:14):
Care of and put him Like having a child is.

Speaker 2 (22:17):
A very vulnerable thing to do. And I honestly didn't
want children before I met Ray, And now like I
just want, I feel so safe that to get care
of and like I'm in love with them so much.
I just want to have all the children. So and
definitely like a something that I you know, thank God
every day for is is that man Like And he's

(22:39):
downstairs right now. I can hear him actively wrestling Cash,
so I can go up here and do that.

Speaker 1 (22:44):
That's awesome. Well, he's he's saving father, he's healing up
right now. Right he did the six.

Speaker 2 (22:50):
And seven, he had a C six five five like
next fusion. He had a herna a disc and uh
so had next surgery and he he should hopefully he's
backsoner than later.

Speaker 4 (23:07):
And he's healing up great, he's doing.

Speaker 2 (23:10):
He's the mostly dense human I've ever met, so like
like just physically, not like mentally, like physically dense. And
but he's really been enjoying because our sun is three
and Ray has really spent the last like it'll be
you know, six months, just because I still have to

(23:30):
go on the road and usually me, Ray and Cash
we all travel together.

Speaker 4 (23:33):
But with me the only one traveling.

Speaker 2 (23:36):
Ray and Cash have just been home together and it's
just Ray is very Cash kind of saved Ray mentally
through all this. Like if I was just leaving Ray,
you know, and he had to stay home, I went wrestled,
like that would be really hard. Like Ray has been
wrestling twenty years and has never been out with an injury,
rather than when he had a motorcycle accident back in

(23:58):
two thousand fourteen. So he, you know, our little boys
just saving his saving his brain and making him still
feel like he has obviously like a purpose even though
he's injured. And because like with neck injuries, is especially
like he's felt fine for a while, but that neck

(24:20):
has to the bone has to feelly fuse to the
metal and that takes.

Speaker 4 (24:24):
Time, right and so without yeah.

Speaker 2 (24:28):
Yeah, and he's about to go fall down for a living,
So we got to make sure he's a he's he's okay,
but he's he's been really doing great where I'm excited
to have them back on the road with me though, Yeah, pressure.

Speaker 1 (24:41):
Michael's got a litter of kids. I got a couple
of girls, and they change your life.

Speaker 2 (24:46):
Kids are literally the best they Ye, I I didn't know.

Speaker 4 (24:52):
I can't because like even me and ray, our love
has conditions.

Speaker 2 (24:58):
I did not know what a conditional love was. And
hel I had that kid like I just you don't
so what such is such a little blessing.

Speaker 1 (25:06):
To have them, Sarah, speaking of kids, we gotta, we gotta,
we gonna look at this real quick. This is Michael Cole.
He seems to have a particular fascination with your antlers. First,
did you harvest these antlers yourself?

Speaker 2 (25:21):
All that stuff has been sourced by me?

Speaker 1 (25:23):
Yes, No, as as w W E merch have they
have they considered including these at the at the merch table.

Speaker 2 (25:29):
They should sure, but yeah, we definitely have a conversation.
He has a come on by his glasses and Donkey twoth, Yes,
why is this appropriate?

Speaker 1 (25:41):
I don't know what this seems really appropriate.

Speaker 2 (25:45):
A Donkey two that said me in the face.

Speaker 4 (25:46):
I mean, I'll like turn my head and it's like crush.

Speaker 2 (25:49):
Yeah, Michael Cole did not know I was doing this
to him, which was the best part. Only me, Ivar
and a camera guy knew that I was doing this. Yeah,
so this was his unadultered reaction to what was happening.

Speaker 3 (26:02):
The moment that this happened, I'm not gonna lie. I
started envisioning what Michael Cole would look like as a
part of the Viking Raiders with his signature WrestleMania single
it decked out with you know, Viking insignia and things
like that.

Speaker 2 (26:17):
So I.

Speaker 3 (26:19):
Think there's an opportunity there that has not been explored yet.

Speaker 2 (26:23):
So yeah, we definitely need a match with all of
Walmania that would be the most entertaining. Maybe maybe uh
Pat mccabee and Ivar and me and Michael Cole could manage.

Speaker 1 (26:34):
Or something, you know, you know, Cole's undefeated at WrestleMania.

Speaker 2 (26:39):
I also know. I'm not.

Speaker 1 (26:44):
Sorry sorry to bring that up. We step in something.

Speaker 2 (26:46):
Nowhere, wining nothing. I just need that to be known.

Speaker 4 (26:49):
You what I have not gotten anywhere, winning anything.

Speaker 2 (26:56):
I'm still here, amazing it is.

Speaker 1 (26:59):
It's so good to have you back to when you know.
I was a gied fan the Riot Squad. I'm a
bigger fan of the Viking Raiders, and I'm ready to
see some slaughtering when when Eric comes back. I'm ready
to see some slaughtering.

Speaker 4 (27:17):
And he's he's gonna come back with like.

Speaker 2 (27:19):
A freaking chip on his shoulder, like he's in the
best shape he's ever been, and he's just been. The
man's been literally thinking about his return for six months.
So it's, uh, I'm excited. I get to be a
ringside for it. It's it's gonna be awesome. I'm Ray
is not it. Ray is an intense individual. Eric is

(27:41):
an intense individual. So I'm like, honestly, I don't even
know what the man's thinking. I just blindly support him
whatever he's doing. So I don't know who he's gonna
target or who he's gonna smash when you get back,
but I'll be there like, I'm sure me too.

Speaker 1 (27:57):
If you if you're like something's coming through a camera,
that's just me screaming at home, super excited. You know
something else. I'm excited for us to April second, that's
when your book comes out. Let me make get this one.
People can see that a little bit better with that day.
You go, No, that's just me. That's not what we want.
We definitely don't want that. Michael. What am I hitting there?

Speaker 3 (28:16):
Is that one?

Speaker 2 (28:18):
Mind?

Speaker 3 (28:18):
Yeah?

Speaker 1 (28:19):
Yeah, come on, what is it wrong with me? Okay,
it's that one right there there. It is from the
Farm to Our Table. And for those people that are listening,
what is he trying to do. On the video side,
We're trying to throw up the actual cover of the book.
So if you're not watching, you should on our YouTube
from the Farm to Our Table April second, brand new
children's book comes out from Sarah ros Sarah, it's been
awesome talking to you today, from everything from sustainable farming

(28:42):
to children's books to slaughtering the opponents in WWE on SmackDown.
I'm looking forward to to having Eric back and and
seeing what you guys do.

Speaker 2 (28:52):
Yeah, thank you, I know of fun good. I appreciate you.

Speaker 1 (28:55):
Good to talk to you. Thanks so much for being

(29:26):
here all the wrestle Chat Podcast Live. I'm excited to
have you be a part of the show today. Drop
a comment and let us know where you are joining
us from today. Always love hearing from you, guys. Don't
matter where you're watching, where you're listening, let us know
where you are. We want to say hi to you
as well. We talked about the shock of Brock Listener
not showing up on Monday Night earlier in the show.

(29:48):
It was no shock though, that Mercedes Monet is now
all elite. Been talking about this for weeks, lots of room,
but this is a worst kept secret, even more so
than see him p When they were going to Chicago,
You're going to mercedes hometown Boston, Massachusetts. Of course they
put boss when they spell out Boston on the artwork CEO. Now,

(30:11):
she showed up to kick off big Business on a
Dynamite Wednesday, new song, new look, a new loaded bank account.
Michael Rumor is Mercedes is the highest paid woman in
wrestling history. Now, unfortunately the bar wasn't set very high
in the past. But I mean great for her, Great
for Mercedes making that money. The question is will she

(30:33):
move the needle?

Speaker 3 (30:34):
Now highest paid woman in women's wrestling history and quite
potentially the lowest viewed woman in wrestling history. You know, man,
I'm super happy for her. I'm glad she's got you know,
this padding in her bank account. Now. It's a great

(30:54):
accolade to be the highest paid woman. But my question
is at what costs? Okay, you're you're talking about a
company that is not even half filling arenas, lackluster ratings
for debuts like Mercedes Mona Okada, you know several other

(31:16):
names in the New Japan Uh, you know DLC pack
that that aew is is uh, you know, engaging in
right now? You know, we've gone on and on about
this topic. I don't dislike ae W. They are fantastic
wrestlers in the ring, but there is a void of

(31:36):
story and that is translating over into their ratings, into
their ticket sales, into everything they're doing. And it's it's
just does it matter that you're the highest paid person
when there's nobody there to watch? And so no, we've
already seen that the needle is not gonna move. And

(31:59):
to beyond, I don't think it's you know, Mercedes Monett's fault.
I don't think it's Okada's fault. Yeah, I don't think
it's anybody's fault. I think it's a company thing. And
so I don't want to take, you know, a dump
on any of these superstars that are coming in and
not moving the needle, because it's not their fault, because
there's a bigger systemic issue that's on the office side

(32:22):
that is not giving us something to tune into, because yeah,
you can have somebody debut and that works in the moment,
but next week is always coming, and if you're not
working on next week, you're just out of a game.

Speaker 1 (32:37):
Yeah you are. And arguably they have they may have
the best wrestlers in all of wrestling at AAW. I
mean you have guys that are legit, legit, legit, legit.
I mean these these Akata one of the best wrestlers ever.
You have you have Brianiels will Ospray, one of the

(32:59):
best wrestlers ever. You have Knny Omega, one of the
best wrestlers ever. And you can't deny that Mercedes Monet
one of the best wrestlers, not female wrestlers, one of
the best wrestlers ever. Absolutely what are you gonna do
with them? Though, I'll equate this too, and you'll get
this maybe some of some of you guys watching or

(33:20):
listening as well, we'll get it to But Michael, I
used to think that if I got the newest and
best camera, I would shoot the best pictures in the
best video, but I didn't know how to use it.
Very very similar. You have the best guys, but if
you don't know how to use them, I mean, you're
gonna have a TV show with a half full arena
and the highest paid wrestler in the world standing in

(33:42):
your ring with nobody to fight because you didn't you
didn't book them, or I don't know. We'll see what happens.

Speaker 3 (33:48):
I mean, history has already shown us this scenario. WCW
shelled out tons of money to bring in all of
these guys that were already established. Yes, in that scenario,
they did move the needle a little bit.

Speaker 2 (34:04):
You know.

Speaker 3 (34:04):
WCW went on a long run of beating ww F
in the ratings, but eventually it caught up. Because when
you can't tell stories long term, and everybody except two
guys on the rosters in the nWo or in modern terminology,
if most of the roster is New Japan, that's already
faced each other and done all these storylines. What are

(34:27):
you gonna do? And so so this is not it's
not a wrestler problem. This is a story problem that
AW has not fixed.

Speaker 1 (34:38):
And the story in WCW when they were batting it
was great. It was the nWo before the nWo grew
too big, but he was. That was over time. That
was over a couple of years, because I mean eighty
three weeks. There's even you know, a podcast with there
At Bischoff and Conrad Thompson called that eighty three weeks
is how many times they beat them in a row.
That's not how many times they beat them, that's how
many times they beat them in a row. CW BETWW.

(35:00):
I'll tell you, I do want to see Mercedes and
britt Baker. You can write that one. Let that one
go for the majority of the three years the Mercedes
is going to be there. You can do that. It
doesn't have to be one or two matches and be done.
This could be a feud, you go back and forth.
You can make that feud last for a year or longer.
I don't know when. And if we get a chance
to see that again, but or would get to see
that again if they don't do it here. So she's

(35:22):
got three years to make that happen. And if we
get that out of all of this, I'll be happy
with Mercedes her run in aew if it only lasts
the three years that she's signed to. I want to
remind you, no matter where you're watching right now, if
you haven't sub to our YouTube it's wrestle Chat podcast,
do it because you'll be the running to take your pick,

(35:44):
and if we draw your name, you get a pick
between the Universal or the World Replica titles official WWE replicas.
We're not going overseas for these they may have, we
will not. We will go directly to the wwee Shop,
order it and send it right to your house if
you're a winner. So just make sure you subscribe to
us on YouTube no matter where you're watching this right now.
And speaking of titles, something interesting was announced on Monday

(36:07):
concerning the WWE Undisputed tag titles. We're getting a six
way ladder match. Now, we all remember the TLC matches
with the Dudley's, the Hardy's and Edge and Christian. So
what do we do we double the number of competitors
at Russell Media forty. We're gonna have six tag teams.
It could be a mess or it could be epic. Michael,

(36:29):
what do you think?

Speaker 3 (36:31):
I think it has all the potential in the world,
and with the tag team division looking the way that
it is right now, I have faith that it is
gonna be an absolute killer match. And again, I'm gonna
throw a little bit of shade, and you know what,
it's not gonna take. It's not gonna take blood, guts, gore,
shock and awe. It's it's just gonna be a great
wrestling match. Yeah we'll get a little ladder. Yeah we

(36:53):
might get a chair, Yeah we might get a table.
But I have a feeling we're gonna be in for
a great entered match that's gonna deliver with a lot
of great tag teams. That's not gonna leave me grossed
out by the end of it.

Speaker 1 (37:08):
We got some new people in charge. You don't know
what's gonna happen. It could be glass. There's definitely gonna
be a ladder.

Speaker 3 (37:15):
Last night that was from That's all we know is so,
there's definitely gonna be a louder.

Speaker 1 (37:19):
There is definitely at least that. Last night was SmackDown
from Memphis and a. We're back to starting the show
with Rock, which is smart because we nearly missed the
slap last week on spack Down. You can't put these
guys at the end if you don't manage the time
up front. Put them up front, and then try to
manage the time of everybody else. Do the rest of it. Man,
those guys. I feel bad for that camera guy. He's

(37:42):
having a rotator cuff surgery now that you're trying to
get Rock to wrap things up last week, Rock remembering
that Memphis was home for him, But home seems to
be subjective for the great One. Dallas has been home
at one time, Miami definitely home, yet it's been home
even heard in Nashville. The rock has come home in Nashville.

(38:07):
But more important than that, we got a rock concert
backed by some guys from the Warren Treaties band. This
was way better than watching Rock fumble through the three
chords he knew on a guitar and remember what order
to put him in, Michael, We've seen a rock concert
or two before from Rocky the most famous. All the
lyrics are about Vicky Guerrero and it was a it

(38:28):
was a different era in WWE. How'd you feel about
this one and how it stacked up to the other ones.
You know, it's kind of like, I take it back
for Freddy horror movie buffs out there. I'm gonna take
it back to the first Saw movie. The first Saw.

Speaker 3 (38:43):
Movie was done for a couple hundred thousand dollars in
one warehouse. Every scene in that movie was filmed in
one warehouse. It's beautiful for what it was, just absolute
beautiful piece of cinematic awesomeness directed by j Won. You know,
After that it got picked up and had some more

(39:03):
big budget studio things that happened. And I like things
about you know, earlier movies in that series before it
became kind of like Gore Poorn if you will. But
you know, two three were really really good, but they
were bigger budget, bigger production. That doesn't mean I didn't
like them. I liked the Old School Rock Concert and
I like the New School Rock Concert. You know, when

(39:25):
we got Hollywood Rock. You know, I don't remember a
lot of the I know, you know it was about VICKI,
but there was a cutaway that was done in his
dressing room. And I think this was a part of
the hurricane feud too. But he sat on the couch
in his dressing room and he said, the rock is
bigger than Tom cruising Tom Hanks, but yet he's got

(39:47):
to deal with these long island skanks. And then you
can hear it. You're like everybody mooved so loud. And
that's how good it was. Is that over a decade,
fifteen years later, whatever it is, it is right here
and no, it's just awesome. And to see this new

(40:08):
version of it and to see this new, slightly different
version of Hollywood Rock, man, it was just a great
night and just gives you all the feels that you
hope for. So good and then to go right into
a killer promo, what what more can you ask for?

Speaker 2 (40:26):
Man?

Speaker 3 (40:27):
And yeah, and assuming we're bridging into that now, for
him to make Mulwana go Heal is next level.

Speaker 2 (40:38):
Man.

Speaker 3 (40:38):
I I popped so hard when he did that. It
was so good, so good.

Speaker 1 (40:43):
I don't listen. I don't know how Disney feels about
him throwing in lyrics from from Moana. We'll we'll find out.
I'm sure probably not worried about that, but more sharp
than than the song lyrics, and there were a few
things in there more than the song lyrics will work.
They were the words that he that Rock had for
Cody's mom. And if you haven't watched rocks reel on

(41:06):
Instagram yet, it's worth a watch. It won't tie you
up for an hour.

Speaker 3 (41:09):
He's learned to.

Speaker 1 (41:10):
Edit, but it's for sure making this feud much much
more personal. Cody wants to hand his mom the universal title.
Rock wants to hand Cody's mom his own weight belt
soaked in Cody's blood, Like that's gonna happen. Doesn't Rock
know there's no blood WWE these days. Rocky all but
confirmed Mama Rhodes has a front row seat at russell

(41:33):
Mania here in three weeks, but this might be the
one that she doesn't want to sit that close for Michael,
what do you think?

Speaker 3 (41:42):
You know it? It is such a beautiful moment of
reality and wrestling storyline convergence and make something absolutely beautiful
for Rock to know what Cody wants to do, and
then for him to have this belt craft that says
I'm gonna soak this in your son's blood and I'm

(42:02):
gonna hang hand it to you so that your tears
can fall on this belt and then I'm just gonna
whisper You're welcome.

Speaker 1 (42:11):
Man.

Speaker 3 (42:12):
What a powerful because because now we're just not being
greasy heel, now we're being actual bad guy. That's like, no, no, no,
you're not gonna get what you want. You're not gonna
finish your story. Why Because I'm the final boss, That's why.

Speaker 1 (42:33):
Oh man, Yeah, I believe the last three smackdowns, the
last three I believe have both Rocky and Cody scheduled
to be on it, which is great but also kind
of tricky because the match is Cody and Roman. Let's
not forget about that. Be careful that things start to
lean too far into the rock and Roman becomes an afterthought. Michael,

(42:55):
this was fun today. I had a lot of fun
talking about obviously wrestling. We have fun every single week
here on the show talking about wrestling. Shout out though
to a guy you referenced in one way or another
here on the show. A couple of times, Darby Allen
written off the TV on Wednesday so he could go
climb Mount Everest, but he broke his foot in that
match before he left with Jay White. So Mount Everest

(43:16):
is going to have to wait for Darby Allen. That's
not going to happen for him this year. We're going
to be at Media that's coming up here in three weeks.
You can find me and Michael there. If you're going
to be there, make sure you hit us up on Instagram,
at wrestle Chat podcast follow us there, And speaking of following,
don't forget to sub on our YouTube. A chance for
you to carry around either a Universal or a world title,

(43:38):
the official replica from WWE, it could be yours. Once
we hit ten thousand, we will do a drawing from
everybody who is subbed to our YouTube channel. In the
last words, Michael, everything you want to hit on.

Speaker 3 (43:52):
It is a great time to be a professional wrestling fan.
And man, we're quickly getting to wrestle Mania, and like
we said that at the top of the show, I
can't wait. This is going to be potentially the greatest
full package WrestleMania ever in the history of WrestleMania. You know,
we look back into history and I'm gonna start promo

(44:14):
and you're gonna have to probably cut me off. But
you know, we look back into history and we see
moments from every WrestleMania, but we have never seen a
wrestle Mania dack through the brim like this. I cannot wait.

Speaker 1 (44:32):
It is gonna be electric. We're gonna be there. We
can't wait to see you guys there too. Big shout
out to Sarah Rope and Valhalla for being on with
us today. Appreciate her stopping by to hang out here
on a wrestle Chat. And if you missed that interview,
you can get rewind on this one and watch it
here or stand alone. It's gonna be under the tab
on our YouTube that says let me talk to.

Speaker 3 (44:51):
You right there.

Speaker 1 (44:52):
You can find that interview as soon as everything's wrapped
up here today, Michael got to hang out with you,
Bud from Michael Glavin. I'm the ad Man and we'll
see next week next Saturday. Today, I am right here
on the wrestled Chat podcast
