Speaker 1 (00:00):
When it comes to professional wrestling. If you are talking
about it, we are talking about it. Welcome to the
wrestle Chat podcast with the Yeah Man. Yes, Welcome back,
and welcome to our brand new night here on Tuesday.
We're about forty five minutes away from NXT starting. If
you are watching live, thank you guys so much for

(00:21):
being here. We leave a comment, let us know where
you're watching from. Even drop a comment with something you
want to ask, something you want to say about anything
that we're talking about. If you are joining us on
Wednesday morning or afterwards, thank you so much for listening
to the podcast on the free iHeartRadio app or wherever
you love to listen to podcasts. Appreciate you rating it
and appreciate you hitting subscribe as well. I want to

(00:43):
welcome in my best bud here, Michael Glavin. That's the
wrong setting. What you don't there's always something and Michael,
I don't even think that you know this. Just before
we went like actually is, while we were going live,
the roadcaster completely locked up. I had to unplug it,
reboot it all while we were trying in the two

(01:05):
minutes that we have when we go live and get
it turned back on and selected in here in order
for any of the.

Speaker 2 (01:12):
Music or for us to be talking and be on here.

Speaker 1 (01:14):
But there's always one thing that seems to a slip,
and that was that was our thing this time. Hopefully
that was it. There's my dog. My dog's freaking out
now loves it is mine because I knocked on the book.

Speaker 2 (01:33):
Yeah, absolutely, you're right for wrestling today, dude. Let's do it.

Speaker 3 (01:38):
Man Like, there's there's a lot in the in the
pot tonight. There's a lot to go over, lots of
things brewing in the coming weeks and months, so it'd
be fun to jump into it.

Speaker 1 (01:50):
We did a three and fifteen on Saturday morning. Normally
that was our old time when we do the podcast live.
We had moved to Tuesday. Summer is going to be crazy.
I know it's probably going to be crazy for you too.
Think sometimes during the week if you can hang out
with us before maybe you're watching NXT or if you're
headed to work on Wednesday listening, I thought it might
be a little easier than trying to catch something on

(02:11):
the weekend. As we head to you know, kids getting
out of school and summertime starting to happen, and I'll
tell you this that here today it was ninety two
degrees and humid already in Austin, Texas, just north of Boston, Texas.
And so that is kind of the signal to me that, Okay,
weekends that are about to get crazy in my world,
they probably are yours too and everybody else who's watching

(02:33):
or listening.

Speaker 2 (02:34):
So we moved to Tuesday.

Speaker 1 (02:35):
So thanks for moving with us, Thanks for hanging out
with us, and I appreciate you guys being here. We
did our three and fifteen on Saturday, and it was
just before Backlash. I had to take off and do
a work commitment and you got a chance to actually
watch Backlash live your first impression because you got it live.
I got it the next day. Your first impression live?
Was it the same as mine?

Speaker 3 (02:57):
Yeah, you know, we haven't talked about it really, but
once the show got going, I mean, you expect everybody
to be excited, you know, so there's the opening that
you know, that whole thing. But then it didn't stop,
and it didn't stop for two hours. That is hands
down the most lit crowd that I have ever seen

(03:20):
in my entire life. I don't know if they were
handing out uppers outside of the gate or something like that.
Like I don't want to make you know, a bad
reference or anything, but I mean, I don't know if
they were handing out pixie sticks at the gate when
everybody was going in, But that crowd stayed at a
level ten for two hours and it was a sight

(03:41):
to behold. Just incredible, incredible.

Speaker 1 (03:44):
That's why we named this show what could we learn
from the French? What do we not know that they do?
It's it was really interesting because you watched it on Saturday.
I watched it on Sunday and then we had Raw
on Monday, so my viewing was back to back with Raw,
And man, did that not feel like a downer?

Speaker 2 (04:05):
And here's the deal. The crowd wasn't dead, It just
was they were. It was.

Speaker 3 (04:12):
It was a good crowd. It was a great show
Monday night, and the crowd was into it. But man,
when you come off of just you know, a crowd
like that, that doesn't you know, it goes to show.
You know, let's let's dive deep for a minute.

Speaker 2 (04:26):
Let's really let's go deep.

Speaker 3 (04:29):
You know. It's kind of a metaphor for life. We
get used to the things that are that are great.
You know the blessings that we have every day and
we just get used to them. But you know this,
this French crowd, they don't get to a ten WWE events.
They don't have the same access to it like we do.
Like you know, we were used to watching pay per
views on Saturday evenings and it being a part of

(04:51):
our weekend. You know, they got to watch it during
the day or catch it on replay, and they made
sure to show the WWE that if you come here,
we're going to show up and show out. And so
good for them, it was. It made even you know,
all the way across the world. It made for me
as a viewer. It made it more fun for me
as well to hear that hype and hear that excitement.

(05:14):
So the lesson for all of us, you didn't think
you were going to get a life lesson here on
the Russell Chat podcast this week. The life lesson is
be grateful for the little things.

Speaker 1 (05:25):
If you came here for a life lesson, you just
got surprised today because you got one. But it's hopefully
that's not what you're tuning in for.

Speaker 2 (05:35):
I did want you to do something. I'll tell you.

Speaker 1 (05:36):
I'll be honest and I even I didn't know that
I did mention this to you earlier this week as well,
is that there are parts of it that I'll be honest.
When I I saw the guys in the ring and
saw them being composed, I felt the need to almost
be emotional on their behalf because they couldn't, especially like

(05:58):
AJ styles dudes playing Hell even tweeted out something afterwards,
you like, I know I'm not supposed to.

Speaker 2 (06:02):
Say anything because you know I'm the bad guy.

Speaker 1 (06:04):
But and then he quoted what they were saying in French.
So don't you do me a favor right now? If
you will, And if you're driving, you're the only exception
everybody else. Just close your eyes for a second. I
want you to close your eyes, and I want you
to listen to this. Close your eyes.

Speaker 2 (06:17):
Go ahead, close your eyes. I'll be honest.

Speaker 1 (06:46):
When I heard it happen and saw it happen in
the ring, in the moment, I thought, man, these guys
are just taking over with some soccer chant that they do,
you know, every weekend, every time there's a football game,
you know, overseas. And come to find out they weren't
at all. They were singing two a j Siles about

(07:07):
how phenomenal he really is. If I were the Rock
right now, I'd give you one of these, but I'm not,
so I do have chilled and it even that again

(07:29):
makes me feel the feelings, which is just something we
haven't added and so stinking long and we But what's
funny is we keep coming back to this because we
keep getting little moments from WWE that I could make
them a grown man tear up a little bit, or
have some allergies or whatever your case is. Maybe some
dust got in your eye. That's it. Kind of seems

(07:50):
to be an ongoing trend with what they have going
right now. And man still, even just listening to it
is one thing seeing him take it in and not
break character, and you know he wanted to how could
you not there? And maybe he didn't even know what
they were saying in the moment either. I have no idea.
I know he spent a lot of times overseas wrestling

(08:12):
and what have you. But man, to have that crowd
seeing about how phenomenal you phenomenal you are and they
don't shut up until Samantha starts introducing Cody Rhodes and
then they sing Cody Roads song the entime, every single word,
so much so that the band even tweeted at the
French crowd, how cool was this moment for everybody involved?

Speaker 3 (08:33):
You know, I'll tell you what it doesn't you know,
it doesn't matter if you're a recreational wrestling fan, if
you're a diehard fan. You know, we all imagine what
it would be like to come out to the entrance
to have that match. But in the world of wrestling,
you know, I've been watching for fifteen twenty years now,

(08:55):
you know, sometimes less than others, but you know, also
sometimes really deep into it, and you know, you always
get like the this is awesome. You get those chance
do you deserve it? You know, you get all these
different chants. I don't know that I've ever seen or
experienced anything like that, you know, as a spectator. But

(09:16):
you literally have an entire crowd of people, twelve thirteen,
fourteen thousand people whoever many it is, literally singing you
a love song about your career and the way you've
affected their lives. It's just like, and it's not some
cliche thing that you've heard a million times over. Like

(09:39):
you said, they sing it two aj styles and man.

Speaker 2 (09:43):
What a what a cool, cool moment.

Speaker 1 (09:47):
My only disappointment in that entire night was that we
had this crowd, but we didn't.

Speaker 2 (09:55):
Have Pat McAfee.

Speaker 1 (09:56):
Oh yeah, could you imagine what that place would have
been like, How he would have been with that crowd
would have been unreal.

Speaker 2 (10:04):
We had.

Speaker 1 (10:05):
We had a big announcement come our way this week too,
and they promised that it was coming at some time
on Saturday, and I was waiting for you to text me.

Speaker 2 (10:13):
You text me a few things that happened during back
last year.

Speaker 1 (10:15):
I was waiting for you to text me and go,
WrestleMania is happening here and saying whatever they announced, and
they never did until the Kentucky Derby and the pre
shown random. I mean, I feel like the whole thing
at least could have used a suit and a hat.
I mean, you have to wear a hat if you
go to Kentucky Derby, so there was no hat even
in the in the in the graphic.

Speaker 2 (10:35):
But yeah, yeah, very random.

Speaker 1 (10:37):
I agreed, that was very random, but also a very
very big audience every year for the Kentucky Derby. Actually
went one time and it poured rain the entire time. Miserable,
so excited to get home and watch the final race,
the one that everybody. I got home before the final
race happened and watched it after I dried off, and
it was fantastic.

Speaker 2 (10:56):
But I'd like to go back when it was it's
a little more dry, but.

Speaker 1 (10:59):
The spectacle of the Kentucky Derby is fantastic and to
be a part of that really smart. On ww's point,
like you said, very very random though, but yes, wrestle
Mania forty one is going to Las Vegas.

Speaker 2 (11:13):
April nineteenth and twentieth.

Speaker 1 (11:15):
Kind of had a hint after wrestle Mania forty and
they hadn't announced what was it Minnesota yet It's probably
not gonna happen there. You kind of think the same thing.

Speaker 3 (11:24):
Then, Yeah, I mean there's been rumors for months and
months and months and months. I mean I think even
as far as a year year and a half ago
that Minneapolis was a front runner because there was all
kinds of stuff talking about Brock, you know, maybe retiring
and hanging it up for good there and all that
type of stuff. And so when an announcement, I remember

(11:46):
us talking, you know, the weekend that we were in Philly, like, hey,
we we usually they announced this by now and so
you know they said after Mania, because I'm sure a
lot of people ask like, well, we're not ready to
announce anything yet. And then you hear reports coming out
of about Minnesota like well we thought we had it,
but I don't know. And but you know, as cool
as Minneapolis is, I know that each location has some

(12:09):
own special stuff. Man, it probably doesn't get a whole
lot better than Vegas for many reasons. Number one, you know,
some people say entertainment capital, especially the USA maybe the world.
You know, easy travel, you know, great surroundings, you know,
you know, to be there for the weekend and stuff
like that. So all around really really great. And for

(12:31):
those of us that are tech nerds, will we get
raw and smacked down in the sphere, that's what we
need to know.

Speaker 1 (12:41):
That could be really really I know that UFC three
oh six is going to be inside the sphere, and
so we'll have some precedents with the company inside that space.
We could see what it looked like relatively the same.
I would imagine if Wwego's there, I think it's going
to be in interesting because if it is there, no
one's going to be watching the ring.

Speaker 2 (13:03):
Everybody's gonna be looking up, because that's where all that's
where all the video is. Everything's on the wall. And this.

Speaker 3 (13:11):
I knew somebody that attended or I know somebody that
attended you two while they were in residency at the
at the Sphere, and they said, like, viewing in the
whole place is actually really good. And now, granted, when
you shrink it down to a twenty by twenty, you know,
that's a little bit different than doing a big concert,
I get that. But you know, they said the place
was built and you know, all the way up the

(13:33):
rake you can you can see pretty well, So it
would be it would be really neat to see if
that's an actual possibility. But I actually don't know if
the place is big enough for what wwe would want
to do seating capacity wise, So who knows. We'll just
have to We'll have to wait and see.

Speaker 2 (13:48):
Every ticket will be a thousand dollars.

Speaker 1 (13:50):
We already know that part, right, Yeah, we do know
also from from recent experience at WrestleMania forty that the
hotel situation in Philly will is the most interesting that
I've ever been a part of. And I've lived in
a city, didn't have to stay in a hotel, but
lived in a city where the Super Bowl was, and
I didn't hear a lot of people talking about how

(14:10):
crazy the prizes on hotels were and how hard it
was to get one. Philly seemed to be that way
at least if you if you started booking around the
time that we did. However, Las Vegas is one giant
hotel room. That's really all it is is. So there's
plenty of hotel rooms and we'll see if they've already
skyrocketed soon. I thought we probably ought to check if

(14:31):
you're making any plans to go to Wrestle Mantia forty
one to probably check on hotels relatively soon. There's a
lot of with the King and Queen of the Ring,
we're going to talk about that and a whole lot
more still come here on the wrestle Chat podcast.

Speaker 2 (14:46):

(16:28):
King and Queen of the Ring this is going into
At the moment, it's going to Saudi Arabia. I did
send you something where I saw that the.

Speaker 2 (16:38):
Leader of Saudi Arabia, Saudi Arabia was there's an assassination
attempt on him.

Speaker 1 (16:44):
I wonder, I don't know if that happened I didn't
read into it, or if that happened in Saudi, or
if it happened somewhere else. That probably made me wonder
a little bit about if King and Queen of the
Ring is going to be headed there when there's the
leaders having an assassination attempt on him.

Speaker 2 (16:58):
But nonetheless that's where it's headed.

Speaker 1 (17:01):
Coming up on May twenty fifth, that'll be another one
that will happen somewhere, you know, around somewhere between ten
am and one pm Central time on that Saturday Memorial
Day weekend. But I'm excited what they're doing with it
this year. Last year Xavier won, but that was also
still under the old regime. This used to be a really,

(17:22):
really cool event the King of the Ring. I mean,
this is where we got Stone Cold Steve Austin's Austin
three sixteen was a King of the Ring. That's where
actually Triple H was supposed to win, but after the
curtain call at Madison Square Garden he got punished and
ended up not winning that and we may have never
had Stone Cold, or at least in that time if

(17:42):
that hadn't happened.

Speaker 2 (17:43):
We also got to King Booka and Queen Charmel from
the King of the Ring. That was something really from
and there's many many others.

Speaker 1 (17:52):
Is there one that sticks out in your mind? I
don't I'm putting you on the spot. Is there one
that I didn't mention that You're like, hey, you forgot
about this dude.

Speaker 3 (17:58):
Well, to build off of that same point, the following
year that we got Austin three sixteen, Triple H kind
of worked his way out of the dumpster and got
to be King of the Ring. So that that always
stood out to me was that he ate Crow for
a year and then was able to come back around
and get what was taken away from him, which was
being King of the Ring. And that was huge for

(18:20):
him because you know, he was doing the Hunter Hurst
Helmsley bit and it was going okay, like people did
like him. But getting that King of the Ring was
one of those first nods where he started transitioning toward
the direction of like you know, d X and then
ultimately becoming the game Triple H and really really cool time.

(18:41):
That was a lot of formation of a lot of
really big names.

Speaker 1 (18:44):
A front runner already again, I know, they just just
started the tournament on Monday night. Of course it will
continue on SmackDown. Front runner for me on the guy side,
on the king side is Gunther. He dropped the Icy
title at WrestleMania. Is this is Bill to be the
next guy that's going to be a world champion or
the WWE champion. I do like how it's taken shape

(19:06):
to the speaking of the Intercontinental title, we already have
a match with Bronze and Red versus Chad Gable versus
Sammy Zay.

Speaker 2 (19:12):
That's happening.

Speaker 1 (19:13):
There also the Women's world title with Live Morgan taken
on Becky Lynch. Interesting to see how they're pivoting here
where it looked like that there was a there was
a Live Morgan and Ria Ripley feud being set up
and then Ria gets hurt. So how do we pivot
and still make this interesting and still have Live trying
to attack the Judgment Day and take everything that was

(19:34):
Rhea's maybe even maybe even dom I know there's been
some there's been some eyes.

Speaker 2 (19:39):
Also saw a post today that that Live Morgan had
posted an Instagram just an Instagram post, but just.

Speaker 1 (19:47):
Neatly tucked away in her pocket was a Judgment Day,
just to barely see it.

Speaker 2 (19:52):
A Judgment Day bandana? Whose bandana was that? Was that?
The one that was around the neck of Domino? Mysterio?

Speaker 1 (19:59):
Just leave a little nuggets And I love this because
we do still have a couple of weeks before this
happened happens. The tournament already underway. As I mentioned, there
are sixteen men and sixteen women that are in this tournament.

Speaker 2 (20:10):
As we go down.

Speaker 1 (20:11):
And something they haven't done in a long time too,
is that some of the matches for the tournament are
actually being fought at live events that are not even
on TV.

Speaker 2 (20:20):
That is really cool. I mean, it's been a while since.

Speaker 1 (20:22):
I went to just a quote unquote house show, but
to go and know that something you're going to see
is going to actually impact something you watch on TV
is something that hasn't been done in a while.

Speaker 3 (20:31):
Mile yep, absolutely and kind of giving my overall thoughts
of everything. The live events thing is really cool. I
remember several years ago. I don't know why they pivoted
away from it, but they did a few mid card
title changes at live events and it happened once or twice,
and I remember seeing the footage of it. You know,

(20:52):
they showed on Monday night or Friday night, whatever it was,
and it made you like it. It made you have
that feeling of man, anything can really happen. And I'm
sure it's stoked, you know the live event numbers, but
that was always really cool. King of the Ring in general,
like you said, it's had its ups and downs. This

(21:12):
year is feeling really really good. There's a great mix
of main event players with some new people. We've already
seen some great matches. The placement is great. You know,
seeing Ilia dragon Off was really cool. I got my
the bracket pulled up in front of me, but Ilia
dragon Off is it was really cool to see. I mean,
just look at what we know already, Gunther, Ilia Dragonoff

(21:35):
and jay Uso. We're already off just like a killer start,
you know what I'm saying. And so it's shaping up
to be really cool, and I have confidence, based on
the people that are involved, that there will be something
that comes out of it, not some cheesy where a
crown sit on the throne gimmick. Yeah, maybe you could
do it that night, but but it's not gonna become

(21:59):
this thing it Booker t or not, Baron Corbin or no, yeah,
Baron Corbin.

Speaker 2 (22:05):
And Wade Barrett and and.

Speaker 3 (22:07):
All these guys had to just live that persona. That's
what kind of Xavier kind of had to it kind
of ruined it a little bit. So it's cool to
see it taking more of this grandiose, serious vibe again.
But but man, I am I'm really excited for how
this is going to shape up over the next couple
of weeks.

Speaker 1 (22:27):
Something I'm interested to see as well is, uh, we
mentioned him with with Live Morgan and with with Becky
Lynch and and Rha being out, and now looks like
Dom is hurt and Dom's Dom's still there, but he's
he's not wrestling. What's the direction of judgment day? And
it hasn't it hasn't turned me off yet, but it

(22:47):
has left me wondering, Like hay On, there's a couple
of things that I took note of. We heard Damien
comment to the other members the Judgment Day needed him
more than he needed the Judgment Day. We saw like
an outburst, a social outburst from JD McDonough and said
that he's done more for the Judgment Day than they've

(23:07):
done for him. And so it kind of and then
of course after the match at Backlash or during the match,
they were trying to help Damian Priest to win the
match and he gets mad that they got involved at
all and pushes them, and then but then comes back
on Monday and apologizes to him, Like.

Speaker 2 (23:27):
I kind of take the approach that I am.

Speaker 1 (23:30):
I'm looking forward to it, and I'm being cautious about
making judgment on the Judgment Day direction at the moment.
But I'm also having a little PTSD with what happened
with the last regime, and you could totally see things
like this happening and then this splitting up and then
coming back together the next week hopefully. I mean, I

(23:53):
don't see that really happening with this group, but is
it leaving a weird taste in your mouth? Right now
as you watch or you just now, I would just
wait and see.

Speaker 3 (24:02):
I'm more of in the wait and see camp. I think,
you know, I look at lessons learned in history going
back to say like the nWo. nWo got really boring
because it was turn on Nitro. Watch the nWo that
was eighty percent of the roster wreck everything ruin every

(24:23):
match we go home. Judgment Day has gone on in
really interesting ride.

Speaker 2 (24:28):
You know.

Speaker 3 (24:29):
First, you know, it's hard to believe that how far
removed we are from it now that Edge is actually
the one that started the Judgment Day and how short
lived that was. And then it was kind of retooled,
made into and I remember like, ah, this feels lame
after Edge being in it, but it quickly turned around,

(24:50):
and I think we need this kind of up and
down to keep it fresh. It would not surprise me
at all. I guess this would be maybe be my prediction.
If you know, the boys bicker and fight against each other,
and then Mommy comes back into the fold, smacks them
all and says, get your head on straight and pulls
the whole group back together, you know, And so I

(25:11):
think this is needed to not just make it feel stale.
I think we need some of that. Plus they've teased
like two times now everybody breaking up and they don't.

Speaker 2 (25:21):
And so I think.

Speaker 3 (25:22):
That that edge feeling that or that that kind of
edgy feeling that we have about AH is this it.
I think that's needed to keep us interested in, to
keep coming back to see what happens possibly.

Speaker 2 (25:33):
So we've still got a lot to talk about.

Speaker 1 (25:35):
We've got one legend that's no longer with the company,
and we got two new announcers kind of we'll talk
about that more when we come back here on the
wrestle Chat podcast, Don't Go Anywhere. Damian Priest now has

(26:19):
the world title code finished the story to take on
the undisputed title. So the question is which one are
you taking home? We're giving you your pick. Just make
sure you've subscribed to the wrestle Chat podcast on YouTube.

Speaker 2 (26:34):
That's it.

Speaker 1 (26:34):
Once we hit ten thousand subscribers, we'll draw one winner
who will take their pick and take home their own
WWE replica title. If you've already subbed, be sure to
tell a friend the quicker. We get to ten k
the quicker, we draw a winner take on the gold
with a wrestle Chat podcast on YouTube.

Speaker 2 (26:51):
Subscribe today.

Speaker 1 (26:55):
I'll tell you if you're watching right now, no matter
what is on Eggs or if it's on a Facebook,
or if it's on Instagram or even YouTube, we appreciate you.

Speaker 2 (27:06):
Subscribing to YouTube.

Speaker 1 (27:07):
Just hit that subscribe button, the notification spell and the
quicker we get to ten thousand, like we just said, quicker,
we'll do that drawing for a replica title. Whoever wins
it gets to pick which one they want, and we're
just going to randomly draw someone out of the ten
thousand plus. We're going to draw it till we get
to ten thousand, but we'll randomly draw and just have
it shipped right to your house. Michael, I know you

(27:29):
have one that you have on order.

Speaker 2 (27:31):
That is what is it? It is going to get
here next month? Is that right? Sometime in June? Yeah?

Speaker 3 (27:36):
I ordered it after Mania and the delivery date is
currently showing like June twenty sixth or something. But I
expected that because I ordered the new Undisputed and I
ordered it right after Cody won it, so obviously everybody
who find them flocking to get it, you know, So

(27:56):
I got it on order. It'll come eventually once I
get it in. I'll start. I got all kinds of
memorabilia and stuff that I've just never put up. And
so once I get the belt in, I've got another
one that I'll frame it all up behind me and
it'll it'll look good when it's all said and done.

Speaker 1 (28:10):
We as soon as you do that, i'm gonna I'm
gonna change this to blue.

Speaker 2 (28:14):
Somebody's got to have a blue background.

Speaker 1 (28:15):
Okay, Uh, there's there's one of my u as well's
even get him to focus.

Speaker 2 (28:19):
There is one of.

Speaker 1 (28:20):
My raw It's kind of a limited edition rock funko
pop they have. Yeah, they had another one that they
put out right after Mania, but it didn't say that
it wasn't going to ship till like October. Yeah, bought
it in April. We'll get it sometime before Christmas.

Speaker 2 (28:37):
Fingers crossed hopefully so soon as.

Speaker 1 (28:39):
We get to that ten sooner we could order your
replica title and the sooner you can get it. So
if you haven't subbed, we appreciate that a lot helps
us a lot. It doesn't commit you to anything, and
it doesn't cost you anything either, just to subscribe. We
appreciate that a lot.

Speaker 2 (28:53):
There's been a couple of stories come out about you know,
they haven't. They've let people go.

Speaker 1 (28:58):
WWE has, they've terminated contracts, they've released them from contracts,
and then some are just letting expire and when it
gets to the end, they're just not renewing, so you
just don't work there anymore. That happened to the King
Jerry Lawler this week just kind of quiet. But I
will say that, you know, back back when he had
his stroke, he wasn't going to be able to do

(29:21):
anything for WE, and they didn't let him go. They've
paid him all the way to and that's happened what
almost two years ago, where he really hasn't been able
to do anything for the company, and just to let
that get to the end is probably a good thing.
And he looks to be doing better. I haven't heard
him him speak or haven't heard him do much or
anything since then, but I've seen some pictures and it

(29:42):
looks like that he's out and abount and getting around
and doing better. So glad to see that for him,
and excited to see what he does next because I
know they're still he was still wrestling up until he
had that stroke too.

Speaker 2 (29:52):
I mean he.

Speaker 3 (29:55):
Yeah, And one thing to note too, that's just for
his Talent Co tract, but he still has an active
Legends contract, which is super cool. To your point that
WWE would let that ride out. And here's what I'll
say people, people want to dump on the WWE machine,
but there are numerous examples where if somebody gets hurt

(30:20):
and they know that it's not going to be a
good fit or their body can't handle it, they will
let them recover, get all the way better, pay them
their downside all the way through it, and then when
they're healthy, they'll they'll cut them loose or let their
contract expire, whatever. And yeah, we don't ever want to
see anybody get cut, but WWE, you know, in that sense,

(30:42):
when somebody's injured it it really does look like they
take care of their people. And so kudo's to WWE
on that. And you know, obviously we wish the best
for King as he continues to recover and move on
to whatever's next for him.

Speaker 1 (30:55):
If you're watching with us live right now, we're just
a little more than ten minutes away from NXT going live,
and you'll notice that there's a brand new announcer on
NXT tonight, Austin, who you or hang on, what is
his name on Microme?

Speaker 2 (31:12):
Microme? Thank you? I think his name.

Speaker 1 (31:13):
I think his real name is Austin, but he and
if I'm wrong on that too, but he for some
reason I thought I remember. I think I'll follow him
on Instagram and I think his real name is Austin,
but he was the he's the announcer on SmackDown. Well,
the he and the NXT announcer have traded places. Austin
gonna take some time to I mean, he lives in Florida,
so's he doesn't won't have to travel like he's had

(31:35):
to for the last off teen years that he's been
on SmackDown.

Speaker 2 (31:39):
So they're flipping and giving. I'm so sorry.

Speaker 1 (31:42):
I prepped a lot of stuff and I failed to
prep their names. If you feel like type and Michael
and and I want to find them before we're done here.

Speaker 2 (31:50):
But the.

Speaker 1 (31:52):
Lady who is on NXT is now on SmackDown, so
got It's funny that Samantha from Raw was talking about
the girls are taken over and they are Raw.

Speaker 3 (32:03):
And Alicia Taylor she does.

Speaker 2 (32:06):
A fantastic job too.

Speaker 1 (32:08):
And I'm sorry Alicia that I that I completely forgot
your name. Just so you know, I only remember Michael's
about fifty percent of the time, so that's true.

Speaker 2 (32:17):
It's true.

Speaker 1 (32:19):
But I'm excited to see what she does on smack Down,
and I'm excited to hear a fresh new voice on
NXT as well. I think that I think that he'll
do a fantastic job over there.

Speaker 2 (32:27):
So to be kind of a cool little shake up.

Speaker 1 (32:30):
Could it could have been thrown into uh, into the draft.
It wasn't, and probably smart that it wasn't as well,
because I think it'll never turn out well when they
surprise announcers and say, oh yeah, by the way, is
sure last night on the show, you're moving somewhere else?

Speaker 2 (32:45):
That happened to j R. And was very, very awkward.
You could see on his face that.

Speaker 1 (32:49):
Was just a rib but that they let go through
just crazy and it's been fun I like, I like two.

Speaker 2 (32:56):
It's funny. It's it's oh no, we don't. We were
ebony and we wanted a change up. Well, why didn't
you just tell him? Why don't you tell him that
he's been We would have got the reaction, Okay, great,
all right, cool?

Speaker 1 (33:07):
Uh it's kind of nice hopefully that a lot of
those antics that were behind the scenes that none of
us as fans really got.

Speaker 2 (33:13):
Hopefully, where's My dog are over? Knock it on. It's
been fun hanging out tonight. You like Tuesday, Yeah.

Speaker 3 (33:23):
Tuesday feels good, feels nice and homie. I feel like
we settled in already, feel like it's it's it's a
it's something to look forward to during the week. I
like it.
