Speaker 1 (00:05):
Ladies and gentlemen, are you ready?
Speaker 2 (00:09):
Shouts that hit the fan.
Speaker 3 (00:11):
Welcome to on section Thursdays are Wrestling with Freddy.
Speaker 2 (00:19):
What's up?
Speaker 1 (00:19):
Everybody?
Speaker 4 (00:20):
Welcome to Unsanctioned Thursdays, the final episode of Jeff and
Freddy talking wrestling all the way until April, just before WrestleMania,
just in time to start the season with picks for
all of you to make you all thousand doers. We're
gonna get right into it. Our producer Alex Awesome Guy
(00:41):
Awesome producer also served as country ex marine. We love
him for all these reasons and more. He's gonna read
your alls questions for us or hit us with your
voicemails if you left us those, and we're gonna get
right into it. Because it's a short episode, Let's roll this.
First songs from Emma front of the show.
Speaker 5 (00:57):
Hey, Jeff and Freddy, Emma here. First of all, I
asked a super long question last time about storytelling and
how a story gets through. Thank you for answering that.
I actually applied for a job with WWE, but they
don't let you submit story ideas and your applications, so
it will just stay on a big list on my phone.
For now. Freddie, I'm super gutted that you've had to
(01:18):
run a bad luck with your federation. I'm still holding
out hope for that, but I wanted to ask if
you would ever consider doing like a one night of
wrestling similar to the All in event. Do you think
you could tell compelling stories in one night? I know
that you're keen to like have it on TV, but
could you sell the event online somewhere? What do you reckon?
Speaker 4 (01:38):
Well, first of all, thank you for continuing to rock
with us. We appreciate you for that. We were just
talking about Australia in the last episode, so I know
you're from Australia, so shout out to you. If that's
not an Australian accent, it's something else. It's because you
lived in another country for a long time. She's going
(01:58):
to be like, no, it's English. But I've lived in
Paraguay for three years. Oh that's the only way it's
not Australian. But could be key with you, right, But yeah,
I first of all, thank you for your condolences, and
I've thought about it. It's not the dream scenario, right,
and I'm kind of trying to get the dream to
(02:19):
just do a one off and it's super doable, but
that's less storytelling then, that's more just showcasing matches. Much
harder to tell stories in one night, although some promotions
actually can do it. I know Wrestling Pro Wrestling does that.
They just basically do like a movie storyline within all
the all the matches themselves. But that's just not that's
(02:43):
not the style that I would that I would bring
to the table. The style and bring into the table
is more a series type show. So so yeah, I
could do it. Would I do it? Maybe if it's
just gets so bad and I'm like, I just got
to produce a wrestling show, then then yeah, But otherwise
I think think I would hold off on that for now.
Speaker 2 (03:02):
Alex take it away. Very cool. This next from cat
Dog got Oh. This is keed Dog from Ohio.
Speaker 3 (03:09):
Who would win in a Pujambi prison match between Freddy,
Jeff and Alex?
Speaker 2 (03:16):
I like them stuff like the WW speared.
Speaker 4 (03:19):
And yeah, Ken Betty still do a rope swinging the
rope swing of death? Is that what he said? Can
I do a rope swing of death?
Speaker 3 (03:30):
His his voicemail cut off, But yeah, so who would
win in a Punjabi prison match in a three.
Speaker 6 (03:35):
Way hands down me because I am I'm I'm evil.
You know, you guys are good guys, your family men.
Whereas I I got nothing to lose, I would use
all the weapons. I would destroy you guys, and I'm
a coward. I would run out of the ring as
soon as I can get way. Yeah, I wouldn't sell
it like all slow up the Punjabi.
Speaker 2 (03:55):
No, I would.
Speaker 1 (03:56):
I'd be right up that thing. I'd win hands down.
I'm I'm I'm relentless.
Speaker 2 (04:01):
All right.
Speaker 4 (04:02):
I have to tend to agree with Jeff here. However,
if I could still pull off the rope swing of death,
you guys would be in some serious shit. It's just
I'm forty, I'm almost forty nine years old, and the
rope swing of death just isn't in my arsenal anymore.
You know, I can do the seesaw of death forever
on a sea saw together. That's your ass, brom that
(04:24):
I'm always that guy that jumps off and you hit
hard and you're.
Speaker 1 (04:26):
Like, oh, my balls and my buttthole, they all hurt.
Speaker 2 (04:29):
At the same time.
Speaker 4 (04:30):
I'll get your ass. But the rope swings no longer
a part of my Arsenal. I gotta go with Jeff Alex.
Who do you think would win?
Speaker 1 (04:36):
Man?
Speaker 3 (04:37):
You know, I think Jeff would try to steal his
way out of that match.
Speaker 1 (04:41):
Oh I do something.
Speaker 3 (04:43):
I would pick myself, but you know, with a bad
back and all tactics, the what I've learned in a
marine corps could only take me so far.
Speaker 1 (04:51):
Yeah, well, you know I'm gonna cheat. I'm gonna do
all that.
Speaker 6 (04:56):
I'll say, guys, we're friends, Let's figure this out, and
then I do some terrible shit spared.
Speaker 3 (05:00):
By one of the cage like bamboo sticks by Jeff.
Speaker 2 (05:04):
No, no, Jeff, don't.
Speaker 6 (05:06):
I hope they bring back the Punjabi prison just to
see the crowd go.
Speaker 1 (05:10):
What I thought we were past all of this? And
then me and Finn.
Speaker 3 (05:19):
Oh my god, this is from Adam Geeks show, Chose
Blisses Return.
Speaker 2 (05:24):
Do you think that she will align herself with the Wyatt?
She damn well better.
Speaker 4 (05:29):
So far, I've just seen her wrestle and not get
much to say and not be in a story. So
it better be something, and it better be something good.
She's one of the best talkers that they have, male
or female, so so she could be the voice of
the Wyat six if they wanted her to be, which
would be kind of sick.
Speaker 2 (05:47):
Go ahead, dude, she.
Speaker 6 (05:49):
Will one hundred percent be back and in the Wyatt
six one hundred percent.
Speaker 1 (05:54):
I can't guarantee that.
Speaker 6 (05:55):
Also if when she came out for the rumble, which
was a total last minute, there was like a little
a little Easter egg on the bear.
Speaker 1 (06:04):
That she was holding that little Dolly the doll, Yeah, Lily.
Speaker 6 (06:07):
So she's she's gonna come back to the White six.
Speaker 1 (06:10):
But where has Uncle Howdie been? Where is Bo Dallas?
Speaker 2 (06:15):
Weird?
Speaker 1 (06:15):
Dude, weird? It makes no sense. I didn't know if
maybe he was injured.
Speaker 6 (06:19):
I don't know what's going on, but like he's been
off TV and missing in action for a long time.
Speaker 4 (06:24):
But they said they're going to smack down, so we'll
see him on Friday nights on USA, and I hope
they have something for us.
Speaker 2 (06:32):
It's been weird and abrupt.
Speaker 3 (06:34):
Man.
Speaker 2 (06:34):
It was just sort of like here they.
Speaker 1 (06:35):
Are and now they're gone. It's very very.
Speaker 2 (06:37):
Strange, Alex, very strange, next Ques strange.
Speaker 3 (06:40):
But we did have a flash on the screen that
was like a weird thing that happened. So there's more
easteries happening, so I think it's definitely going to.
Speaker 2 (06:46):
I always miss these. I'm just too freaking old.
Speaker 3 (06:58):
This one was from mister ger A math Uh super quick.
What's your favorite breakfast taco? Both of you?
Speaker 2 (07:04):
Oh, bro John, this is a thirty five minute answer.
Speaker 4 (07:08):
I gotta give you, like the cliffs notes, all right, dude, breakfast.
I live in La Breakfast tacos are a real, real thing,
and we.
Speaker 2 (07:17):
Take our shit seriously out here.
Speaker 4 (07:18):
You go to any food truck and get breakfast tacos
or breakfast burritos, and every time you go to one,
you'll be like, oh my god, this is with your mouthful,
Oh this is the best taco.
Speaker 2 (07:26):
You gotta try this taco.
Speaker 4 (07:28):
Um, that's really really hard if you if you're if
you're limiting it to breakfast taco being just eggs, potatoes
and salsa and bacon. That's a traditional breakfast taco. If
you need just like a quick, easy one, Home State
does a good one. Otherwise, you gotta taco truck it.
(07:48):
I don't know if you guys have good taco trucks
where you're from, but you gotta taco truck it because
the homemade sauces are where it's at. You want heat
in the morning, It wakes up your brain. Is better
than a cup of coffee, even though a cup coffee
with your breakfast tacos nice like Spanish rice. Uh. But yeah,
definitely if you're going traditional, got to get it off
a food truck. If you're just going tacos in general
(08:11):
because you're a gangster like that, and maybe you're a
little hungover, then yeah, again, taco truck's the way to go.
But you have to have good taco trucks in your neighborhood,
and there's not a lot of good Mexican food nationwide.
So I feel for you if you're in a tough spot.
Speaker 2 (08:25):
Jeff, what about you?
Speaker 6 (08:26):
I love the I've never heard the expression nice like
Spanish rice. I like that, But I will say my
answer is gonna be very underwhelming. Just because I love
a breakfast burrito. I'm a huge fan. But I don't
cook nothing or know anything. I'm just grateful when I
have it, So I'm pretty not picky.
Speaker 1 (08:44):
I'm just gonna mow it down. But I do love it,
but I don't know much about it.
Speaker 4 (08:49):
Uh, let me ask you this, Jeff, crispyschell or soft shell.
What do you like more for?
Speaker 1 (08:54):
Oh?
Speaker 6 (08:54):
I like both. I mean that's really hard to choose.
I will say it's soft, you know, like when it's
big burrito. But it's because crispy taco shell is so uncommon.
I do love it when I have it, So I
guess krispy for tacos and there you go.
Speaker 3 (09:11):
All right, Alex next, All right, this will be our
last question before I get to it, I just want
to say that we've received hundreds of questions. I want
to thank everyone who decided to send them in.
Speaker 2 (09:22):
Uh.
Speaker 3 (09:22):
I like to keep these questions so that we could
always roll them over and continue asking.
Speaker 4 (09:26):
Yeah, tell people, tell the people not to quit on
their on their question dream.
Speaker 2 (09:31):
We'll get to it.
Speaker 3 (09:32):
We're limited with with time here, but we just want
to say thank you and don't ever not send in
your question because we love reading them, even on our
off time. And before I really get to the last
question here, Freddie Jeff, I just want to say congratulations
on getting a fifth season as your producer. I'm extremely
proud of you guys. The millions of people that we touch,
you know, like, is insane. I just want to leave
(09:54):
it there, you know, like, no, this man, thanks show,
this show's blown up and you two are are you
good at what you do? So this very last one
is from mister Parmie, Mister Parmie's front of the show
and he's I believe he's in the I want to
say the Philippines.
Speaker 2 (10:09):
I might be.
Speaker 3 (10:10):
It is uh way way way out there. What is
your favorite wrestling stage? Mine would be the SmackDown fist one.
Oh oh yeah, like kind of eye question.
Speaker 2 (10:23):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (10:24):
The settings, Yeah, Halloween Havoc. I think that.
Speaker 6 (10:29):
There was There were so many things they could just
put in there because Halloween props is the easiest props
for any holiday, and so they would just have mannequins
and they would just put old wrestling crap on the
mannequin that they must have had backstage or something. There
was always an excuse to have crap out there. So
Halloween Havoc probably and is the most gimmicky answer to.
Speaker 2 (10:47):
And they had the giant pumpkin with the baunce.
Speaker 1 (10:49):
Yeah, so cool.
Speaker 6 (10:50):
And when you play WCW VERSNWO on Nintendo sixty four,
even the Halloween Havoc stage is really cool.
Speaker 2 (10:58):
Even on the game.
Speaker 4 (11:00):
I'll probably have to go with Jeff on this one,
but I feel like I remember a time where the
Stone Cold music hit and the glass shattered and he
actually came through glass, like he came through a panel,
and I remember being like, yo, that was so frigging hardcore. Yeah,
that to me was like pretty much the greatest entrance
(11:22):
ever because it like he matched his music, which was
just crazy to me. Yeah, so that would be my
favorite one, But aesthetically, I think Halloween have it.
Speaker 2 (11:31):
Yeah, I agree with Jeff.
Speaker 6 (11:33):
Someone sent me a great HD image of Stone Cold
Steve Austin walking out and I don't know what is
I guess hopefully Alex will know this, but it was
just this great still shot of Stone Cold walking down
the ramp and behind him was this huge skull and
it was I think, just a picture. It wasn't like
three D or anything, but just a skull that said
(11:54):
stone Cold and him walking in front of it. And
it was like the sickest setup for because now they
can just do it three D digitally or whatever, but
this was actually someone had made a giant skull for
him to walk out.
Speaker 1 (12:07):
It's pretty cool.
Speaker 4 (12:09):
Yeah, he has the greatest walk of all time to
the ring for me Undertaker. Second, I'm prisoner of the moment,
but I want to say Penta's number three. But yeah, dude,
his walk is number is number one for me. It
always has a side step that's dude, and it does
the hand in for one hand in front of it
like he's just so gangster like. It reminds me of Eddie.
(12:30):
So maybe that's why I love it so much. But
it's just badass and he owns it and it's super cool.
You guys are super cool too. Thank you for listening
to your super cool hosts. And you're super cool producer.
We're all super cool. I hope you guys have a
great little break from us. Sometimes you just need a break,
you know what I mean. You guys need a break
from us. We're getting on your nerves. We understand, and
we'll be back in April.
Speaker 1 (12:51):
Peece, we love you.
Speaker 4 (12:57):
