Speaker 1 (00:01):
Today we are joined by the one and only Sheryl Underwood.
Shell is out here to cover trending topics, and we
got a big show coming up in New Jersey that
we're gonna talk about. Ladies and gentlemen, put your hands together.
Our family member, a member of Zeta five Beta. Not
only that, the girl got a Daytime Emmy Award, Lord
Hamn Mercy, please welcome talk show host, stand up comedian.

Speaker 2 (00:24):
The one and only Cheryl Underwood. Hey, hey, hey, she
Shirley girl my Chicago. SI. You know you know it.

Speaker 3 (00:35):
I might have to go back there and sling these
jokes going to New Jersey because you know the talk
is coming to an end, right, y'all know that, right?

Speaker 2 (00:43):
I knew it was coming. I didn't know. I didn't know.
I don't know when it is. When is it? December
twentieth is the last day.

Speaker 3 (00:50):
So you know I'm over there, Junior, getting everything I can,
yellow pads.

Speaker 2 (01:00):
Black boy everything on the way out.

Speaker 3 (01:02):
You better know, Twizzlers, I'm over at craft Service making
it happen.

Speaker 2 (01:08):
Like I will never eat again.

Speaker 3 (01:09):
Shirley Strawberry, you said you'll do how many years?

Speaker 2 (01:15):
Well, this is our fifteenth season. This is our season.

Speaker 3 (01:18):
But you know, I'm functioning like when me and Shirley
used to work over at Carson Perry Scott. You know,
I gotta clean them out, gotta gotta clean them out.
But I thank God for the blessing, and I love
the fact that my fans are coming to see me
do live comedy. So Tommy, you know, I want to
thank you because you know, like any other American, when

(01:40):
the job go down, you got to figure out what
your next move is. And stand up comedy it's always
the next move. So I gotta thank you for putting
me on the New Jersey Show. Where we're gonna be,
where we're gonna be.

Speaker 1 (01:51):
We are at the NJ Pack Baby Saturday night, November thirtieth,
that Saturday, right after right after Thanksgiving, right after Black Friday.
And it's myself, it's it's Hug Sheail Underwood, is Dominique
and Finess Mitchell, and we're gonna be in the bill.
And this is Thanksgiving, this is Thanksgiving comedy show. You
don't want to miss this.

Speaker 3 (02:10):
So since my talk job is going down, since my
top job is going down, can somebody at least bring
me three plates? Three plates? Put it in a container
where I can put it in the freezer because I
need to save them all the way to Christmas, because
you never know. When you don't laugh at me, you
have not because you ask not. See, I need plates
some food. See y'all play too much. This economy is

(02:32):
not for suckers. Right now, we gotta make it. I
gotta eat, so I'll be putting that plate of food
in between two grill pieces of bread with some cheese
on it. What's that sandwich where you put all the
Thanksgiving food together? And if you are a single man,
what a job I'm in. I'm ready, junior.

Speaker 2 (02:50):
You know what I'm saying. You know it didn't work out.
Tobby didn't work out.

Speaker 3 (02:54):
But now that I don't have no job, I need
to get with somebody to help pay these bills over here.

Speaker 2 (02:59):
You know what I'm saying. So you fall it.

Speaker 1 (03:01):
Come on, now, you're coming back to your original craft
and you always had it. You never let it go.
You're still gun. Come on, You're just coming back to
a different platform where you where you started your roots.

Speaker 2 (03:13):
Oh absolutely, you know.

Speaker 3 (03:14):
Speaking of roots, I do need somebody to help me
chip in and dye his hair because it's growing and
faster than I thought. I'm on this biatead right now,
and it's coming in faster than I thought. It's still thin,
it's just growing longer, and so nasking, Oh, we are
you talking about those roots.

Speaker 2 (03:35):
This way? I knew it shurely.

Speaker 3 (03:37):
I knew I was getting ready to not have money
when I start buying Amazon synthetic wigs so I don't
mess up all this good show hair I got because
I'm trying to get back on TV show Describerries. But
you know, when I'm out doing these road gigs, you
know I can't be curling. Then McDonald got three Daytime

(03:59):
Emmys as glam to my one, and he's the best
glam man. But I'm learning how to do my own glad.
That's why you can't record me on the road. It's
not that I don't want these jokes recorded, which I don't.
It's the fact I'll be looking pretty together sort of
because I'm doing it myself.

Speaker 2 (04:15):
But what was we talking about?

Speaker 3 (04:16):
Oh, comedy routs. Okay, I'm in all comedy clubs. I'm
doing every comedy club I can, and I love the
fact that meet Tommy.

Speaker 2 (04:24):
Listen, they better get there early because we.

Speaker 3 (04:26):
Going in and out of everybody, and I'm still cussing.
Saints start praying right now. This is a cavalcade of cussing.
I'm not a cavalcade cavalcades.

Speaker 4 (04:40):
Yes, yes, you look good. I have to say that.
I have to say that you look good, you look healthy,
you look happy. I'm so glad to see you, know you. Yeah,
you really really do. And I want to congratulate you
on that. And you know, and I like your attitude
about you know, your show coming to an end.

Speaker 2 (04:58):
All of that. You look great. Something else fum me describer, Absolutely, yes,
something else? Fummy. He gave it to me seasons fifteen seasons.

Speaker 3 (05:08):
Yeah, a CBS for me to be on CBS for
the jokes you're about to hear at the NJ. Pat
you'd be like she on daytime TV every day with
that mouth. Yes, I just knew and control.

Speaker 2 (05:21):
But here's the other thing too.

Speaker 3 (05:22):
I want to thank everybody and thank you Shirley for
seeing that I am healthy. I'm very happy. You know,
my body's doing good, Praise God. My family's doing well.

Speaker 1 (05:33):
You know.

Speaker 3 (05:33):
I get to see everybody, Yes, I get to see
everybody out on the road. But here's the catch of
this and looking good the role. When you get older,
you gotta be in shape. So I'm on my little
exercise bike, you know, and trying to get yourself together
and drink water.

Speaker 2 (05:48):
Now I'm still drinking.

Speaker 3 (05:49):
So when you come up to now, my skin't gonna
be dry, Julie, my lip's gonna be just a little
bit chat because I'm.

Speaker 2 (05:58):
Because I'm still drinking.

Speaker 3 (05:59):
But I'm doing every comedy club in the nation. I'm
doing every road gig because I got a stock up
for retirement and especially for women. Now, that's one thing
I think we need to talk about healthcare, retirement. And
I will be talking about this election and what I
feel is happening out out here in the country. And
I think a lot of us didn't do what we

(06:21):
were supposed to do because we think we're gonna get
a better deal from a captain, combover commander in Cheetah.

Speaker 2 (06:29):
Yeah. Do y'all want to talk about that? Y'all want?
Can I stay and we talk a little when we
come back.

Speaker 1 (06:36):
Let's talk about that. We talked about anything you want
to talk about when we come back, We'll be right back.

Speaker 2 (06:39):
We got more of.

Speaker 1 (06:40):

Speaker 1 (07:17):
We are back and our special guests are still here,
the one and only Cheryl Underwood.

Speaker 2 (07:20):
Shall you still good? Yes?

Speaker 3 (07:22):
I am very very happy, but I'm very unhappy about
what happened in this election. I'm glad y'all let me
say talk about this. What do y'all think happen? What
did y'all think happen?

Speaker 2 (07:33):
I don't think everybody got out of the voted, Cheryl.
I don't, I really don't. I don't. Right, we did.

Speaker 1 (07:39):
We pushed it, We pushed it and pushed it every
single day, but I just don't.

Speaker 2 (07:43):
I don't know.

Speaker 1 (07:43):
You thought I hear about men, black men not wanting
to vote.

Speaker 2 (07:48):
I heard that. I don't know how true that is.

Speaker 1 (07:50):
White women voted for Trump, you know, I mean the
list goes on and on.

Speaker 2 (07:55):
Hispanics. Poor Cheryl is well.

Speaker 3 (08:03):
First, I think we found out the importance of black media,
black radio, black newspapers, even black social media. You know,
black people do not believe that Jesus is coming back
until we hear it on the Steve Harvey Morning Show.
You know what I'm so, you've got to put those
resources into black media and strengthen that and black Greek

(08:24):
letter organizations, black churches, and black civil rights organizations.

Speaker 2 (08:27):
We did what we needed to do.

Speaker 3 (08:29):
She got a larger percentage of the black male vote.
I think all of this was propaganda to say, oh,
the black men are not voting for her.

Speaker 2 (08:37):
No brothers voted in solidarity.

Speaker 3 (08:40):
It was just not enough of us in the turnout,
especially in the battleground states, you know, because these margins
were really small, and if you notice Democrats were voted
in in places where she was the campaign. Let me
not say she because she did a phenomenal job in
these realized he been running for eight years. She was
running for three months, and people have stepped aside. That's right.

(09:02):
If people have stepped aside. But surely let me just
say what I feel now again. I think that, just
like with Hillary, is they did not come together, and
we're gonna say they because we know what percentage did
not join us in the vote. And I mean we
could talk about things that should have would have cut up.
But a lot of people about to and find out.
They're about to blank and find out because he's got

(09:24):
the House, he's got the Senate, he's got every branch
of government.

Speaker 2 (09:29):
He's got everything, he's got unchecked out. Oh my god.

Speaker 3 (09:33):
Matter of fact, Puffy in jail going how to hell?

Speaker 2 (09:37):
I get this.

Speaker 3 (09:40):
I think Puffy gonna get out of hell because Trump
is on them tapes. That's what I say. I think
Trump is right up in there. He's gonna say.

Speaker 2 (09:48):
Before we go, did you see the fight?

Speaker 3 (09:51):
Did you see the First of all, I need Mike
Tyson to call me because when he turned around and
all that old school Mike Tyson see, I thought he's
gonna walk out with his crew and do Redman time
for some action. When he walked that bicep, I said, oh,
this ain't looking good. This ain't this ain't looking good.
But then in a free fight where he turned around
and show that Mike Tyson boy, let me.

Speaker 2 (10:11):
I let you sing. Come on, and I ain't scared
of you. Mike Tyson. Listen to me.

Speaker 3 (10:16):
I'm gonna have you up there making pancakes with love
apriln He's gonna be cooking buck nigger like bing range on,
baby boy, Come on, Mike Tyson.
