Speaker 1 (00:01):
All right, Tommy, So you have a question for your uncle.

Speaker 2 (00:04):
What is it?

Speaker 1 (00:05):
Yeah?

Speaker 3 (00:07):
Yeah, you know, just you know, you know, sometimes you
got to ask the hard questions. Sometimes you gotta ask
the serious questions, you know.

Speaker 1 (00:15):
And uh on the air, you're about to do it
right now.

Speaker 3 (00:19):
Yeah, you know, because I got people that come to
me that always want to have questions. You know, they
want to come to Tommy and you know, ask off this,
ask off that, and you know there's some questions that
are just heavy, you know. And uh so I want
to ask you, man, how long how long should you
day a woman before you meet her husband?

Speaker 2 (00:45):
Absolutely? You know, these people want to know that, you
know what I'm saying.

Speaker 3 (00:49):
So I'm just asking how long should you day a
woman before you meet her husband?

Speaker 2 (00:56):
You feel me? I mean, you know, it's I'm asking that's.

Speaker 4 (00:59):
All you To help you out, I would strongly suggest
that you date her as long as you possibly can
before this meeting occurs, because usually upon meeting the husband
of the woman you're dating, there's usually some time some

(01:25):
type of violent crime involved during that process. Because men
are not the same as women, our reaction to that
is gonna be a one of the violent nature.

Speaker 5 (01:38):
And when you violated a man's.

Speaker 4 (01:42):
Backyard, when you violated his playground, when you violated something
that he's dedicated his life to, who has been in
the pursuit of making her happy. You do not understand
the retribution, the level of which this man would do

(02:05):
in terms of revenge, and there is no limit, and
you will be the recipient of it. So I strongly
suggest that you date her as long as you can
before that meeting occurs.

Speaker 3 (02:16):
As long as you can before the meeting occurs. Let
me write that down long as you can. Steve, Yeah,
he just went so deep into you know it was
And that's just a simple question. That's just simple. But
see that the results.

Speaker 4 (02:32):
Ain't gonna be simple. So what I'm trying to do
is I'm trying to save a life here. You know,
you're in the business of saving lives. Yeah, see, you
got the church that's in the soul saving business. Time
in the life saving business. I met you boys, I'm
trying to save their life. And look like I got
a couple of old foods that need little help to

(02:54):
go ahead.

Speaker 3 (02:55):
What else you got the part of the brain that
used to remember everybody's phone number?

Speaker 2 (03:00):
What is that part of the brain doing now you know.

Speaker 3 (03:03):
What is it?

Speaker 2 (03:04):
What is it doing?

Speaker 4 (03:06):
It's gone, dog, it don't do that no more. You know,
you know, you lose what you don't use. That part
of your brain is gone. That's that's gone. I used
to remember all numbers. Okay, okay, so that other number,
that memorizing people's number, that section of the brain is gone.
It's lied on it. It has changed. It's kind of

(03:28):
like the evolution of animals. You know, like some animals
developed web feet because they was around water a lot.
You know, we just developed you know, the smart phone
made us dumb people.

Speaker 3 (03:38):
So bring it to another question. Let me so I
get this in real quick. Uh. We used to be
able to slam the phone down and hang up on
people back in the day, and that privilege is gone.

Speaker 2 (03:50):
What can we do to bring that feeling back? You
know that it's just gone. We can't really hang up
on somebody, can't slam it down.

Speaker 5 (03:57):
Well, what you gotta do now is you gotta FaceTime people.

Speaker 4 (04:01):
And then you know, throw up that middle finger and
then click off. Yeah, that's all you got left now,
FaceTime middle fanger off. Yeah, so that'd be the last
visual she would replace it with a visual with a sound.

Speaker 5 (04:20):
Throw that fanger up to clear it off.

Speaker 4 (04:25):
Oh no, no, oh no, he didn't flip me in hey.
And then you try to get him back on your
zoom so you can give it to them, But then
they see the little camera come up.

Speaker 5 (04:35):
Now I know that zoom. I'm not going to answer that.

Speaker 2 (04:39):
You appreciate little time and time little, I appreciate.

Speaker 1 (04:42):
That, all right, coming up next, it is enough for you.
Yet again, the ignorance continues with the prank phone call.
Right after this, you're listening

Ruthie's Table 4

Ruthie's Table 4

For more than 30 years The River Cafe in London, has been the home-from-home of artists, architects, designers, actors, collectors, writers, activists, and politicians. Michael Caine, Glenn Close, JJ Abrams, Steve McQueen, Victoria and David Beckham, and Lily Allen, are just some of the people who love to call The River Cafe home. On River Cafe Table 4, Rogers sits down with her customers—who have become friends—to talk about food memories. Table 4 explores how food impacts every aspect of our lives. “Foods is politics, food is cultural, food is how you express love, food is about your heritage, it defines who you and who you want to be,” says Rogers. Each week, Rogers invites her guest to reminisce about family suppers and first dates, what they cook, how they eat when performing, the restaurants they choose, and what food they seek when they need comfort. And to punctuate each episode of Table 4, guests such as Ralph Fiennes, Emily Blunt, and Alfonso Cuarón, read their favourite recipe from one of the best-selling River Cafe cookbooks. Table 4 itself, is situated near The River Cafe’s open kitchen, close to the bright pink wood-fired oven and next to the glossy yellow pass, where Ruthie oversees the restaurant. You are invited to take a seat at this intimate table and join the conversation.
