It could be yours. Buckle up and hold on tight.
We got it for you. Here it is Strawberry Letter.

Speaker 1 (00:25):
Thank you, nephew. Subject the visiting pastor is my sugar daddy.
Dear Stephen Shirley. I live in North Carolina, and I'm
in a long distance relationship with a man I've known
all my life. He's a great man that would never
cheat on me because he barely has enough money to
take care of the two of us. After dating him
for seven years without him having a real plan for

(00:47):
our future, I cheated on him. I got a sugar
daddy that lives in the same city as my man.

Speaker 3 (00:54):
He is a.

Speaker 1 (00:54):
Preacher and he's thirty one years older than me. He
spoils me with gifts and he knows exactactly what he
is doing in the bedroom. But I have a potential
problem coming up Easter weekend, and I don't know what
I should do. My boyfriend is spending Easter Sunday in
North Carolina with me and my mom. My sugar Daddy
is going to be our visiting pastor at my home

(01:15):
church for Easter Sunday. He has no idea that I
have a boyfriend. He said, it's a no no. So
he called me today and said he's planning to stay
at my apartment because it's just one night. He also
said he wants to cook for me. I suggest it
would get a hotel suite and order room service. He said,
even though he's divorced, he wants to be discreet, so

(01:37):
he'd rather stay at my place. I truly need him
to get a hotel room because my boyfriend is staying
with me. I can't afford to mess things up with
my sugar Daddy because he's talking about buying me a
new car. My mom said, I'm thirty now, so I
should focus on the man with money, not the broke one.
Dumping my boyfriend on Easter would be too harsh. I

(01:58):
need advice. How do I decide who I'm spending Easter with?

Speaker 3 (02:04):
Are you serious? Are you for real?

Speaker 1 (02:09):
So you need Steve and I to help you navigate
between these two guys the best way to cheat. But
it seems to me like you're doing pretty good on
your own. I mean, both these guys live in the
same city. You say, they don't live in your town.
Your boyfriend of seven years, though he can't even afford
a hotel room. How are they just telling you where

(02:30):
they're gonna stay. Your mother must be right that your
boyfriend of seven years is broke or just really really cheap,
and not only that he sounds married or something like
he has another woman where he lives. Because after seven years,
you would think there would be some sort of movement
toward future plans for you guys. But no, no, he's just,

(02:52):
you know, just come moving along with seven years. And
neither one of these men should should be trying to
stay at your house anyway. Let them get their own rooms.
Whenever they come to see you. Tell mister long distance
lover that your plans have changed and he can't come
for Easter at all. That's what you tell him. Tell

(03:13):
him that visiting pastor can't stay with you And why
should you be all stressed out and inconvenienced. He can
get a hotel room. I'm sure he does that when
he visits other churches in other cities.

Speaker 3 (03:24):
That's what he does. He'll understand.

Speaker 2 (03:27):
Uh, yeah, you're right.

Speaker 3 (03:28):
This is a no no. He said.

Speaker 1 (03:29):
This is a no no meaning you can't see anyone else.
Who is he to tell you who to see? Get
your life together? Listen to your mom. He'll understand. Everybody
will be everybody will understand. This is crazy. We can't
help you with this.

Speaker 2 (03:44):
Steve Shirley, do we read the same letter?

Speaker 1 (03:48):
Uh?

Speaker 4 (03:48):
Huh, I'm factually off base here. Then what I don't understand?

Speaker 3 (03:54):
What what? Steve?

Speaker 2 (03:58):
Okay, here we go. Listen.

Speaker 4 (04:01):
The visiting past is my sugar daddy. Now, you're in
a long distance relationship with this guy that you've known
all your life. He's a great man who would never
cheat on me because he barely has enough money to
take care of the two of us.

Speaker 2 (04:20):
How you know?

Speaker 4 (04:22):
I just have a question for you. How do you
know that it's long distance? Y'all been together seven years.
He barely got enough money. That's why he wouldn't cheat.
Money has nothing to do with a man cheating. You
just need to understand that right now. So I don't
know where you got that little stupid notion from. After
dating here for seven years without having a real plan
for our future. I the letter that the lady that

(04:45):
wrote the letter I cheated on him. I got a
sugar daddy that lives in the same city as my man.
So now there's two men that live out of state,
out of the city. He is a preacher and he
he's thirty one years older than me. Now, I found
out later on in the letter that your mama told

(05:06):
you you thirty now, so you need to focus on
the money instead of a broke man, which means that
sugar Daddy passed. It is sixty one, sixty one, you thirty.
We got that math together. He spoils me with gifts.
He knows exactly what he's doing in the bedroom. He's
sixty one. Damn if you ain't picked up nothing by sixty,

(05:32):
he not.

Speaker 2 (05:32):
Good in the bedroom. By sixty he not fit to
get good.

Speaker 3 (05:38):
It's not gonna happen.

Speaker 4 (05:39):
So I ain't nobody surprised about this. But I have
a potential problem coming up Easter weekend, and I don't
know what I should do. My boyfriend is spending Easter
weekend in North Carolina with me and my mom. Okay,
and you want him to because that's who you feel
secure with, and you've already made these plans. If my

(06:00):
sugar daddy is going to be our visiting pastor at
my whole church for Easter Sunday, he has no idea
that I have a boyfriend. How where does old ass
dude come from? Meet you and expect you not to
have no history? And then he say that's a no note? Sureley,

(06:21):
want to know, how can he tell you what to do?
Because he paying for stuff, Shirley, that's how. That's exactly
how he paying for you. Well, he said it, and
he meant it because he paid. Now he got her tripping,
because if he was, if the money wasn't.

Speaker 1 (06:39):
Hang on, Steve, hang on, we'll have part two of
your response coming up to the Strawberry letter. The subject
is the visiting pastor is my sugar Daddy. That's all
coming up at twenty three minutes after the hour right
after this.

Speaker 3 (06:52):
You're listening Morning show.

Speaker 1 (06:55):
All right, Come on, Steve, let's recap today's Strawberry letter.
The subject is the visiting castor is my sugar Daddy?

Speaker 2 (07:03):
We got a.

Speaker 4 (07:03):
Tricky woman that the wrote a letter, got this boyfriend
long this and she's known all the life, been dating
him for seven years. He's made no plans for the future,
and he's broke. He don't have enough money to take
care of the two of them, so she assumes that
he's in this long distant relationship, not cheating because he
don't have the money for two of us. I stated,
and will state again, cheating has nothing to do with

(07:24):
how much money he got. The reason y'all might not
have enough money is because he split that money around town.

Speaker 2 (07:31):
You see what I'm saying.

Speaker 4 (07:33):
He doing something, So anyway, you decided, now you think
you gonna beat him to the punch, So I cheated
on him. I got me a sugar daddy. And the
sugar daddy is thirty one years older than you, and
he spoils you with gifts and everything, and he knows
exactly what he's doing in the bedroom. What hell, he's

(07:54):
sixty one. He's sixty one, because he thirty one years
older than you and you thirty, he's sixty one supposed
to know what he's doing by now, he's sixty years
of practice.

Speaker 2 (08:04):
So what y'all wouldn't killed me with this.

Speaker 4 (08:06):
He know what he's doing in the bedroom, and he's
sixty I'm gonna tell you right now, Yeah, sixty sixty years.
He supposed to know something. He done picked up a
move or two. So what what you need to be
thinking about is how many how many more performances he got.

Speaker 2 (08:30):
That's what you need to start looking at.

Speaker 3 (08:32):
It's almost time for the curtain call.

Speaker 4 (08:34):
Yeah, you know, you may say, start slowing down. Now
here's the problem I have on Easter weekend. I don't
know what I should do. My boyfriend is spending Easter
Sunday in North Carolina with me and my mom. Your
mom is looking forward to it. You looking forward to
it because he's safe. But now your sugar daddy is
gonna be our visiting pastor at the Home church on

(08:56):
Easter Sunday. And he has no idea that I have
a boyfriend. Well he should. I don't know how he
thinks he met you and you were just dangling out
there free, but he should. And he say that's a
no note. And he has every right to say that's
a no note because he paying.

Speaker 2 (09:14):
He paid.

Speaker 4 (09:16):
So he called me today and said he's playing on
staying at my apartment because it's just one night.

Speaker 2 (09:23):
He also said he wants to cook for me.

Speaker 4 (09:25):
I suggested we get a hotel suite and on a
room service.

Speaker 2 (09:30):
He said, even.

Speaker 4 (09:31):
Though he's divorced, he wants to be discreet, so he'd
rather stay at my place instead of y'all trouncing through
that hotel lobby and somebody see y'all, I truly need
him to get a hotel room because my boyfriend is
staying with me. Now that's because y'all been together seven years.

(09:53):
It would be if you asked him to get a
hotel room. He ain't gonna understand that the gig is up.
But now I truly need him to get a hotel room.
She talking about sugar Daddy because my boyfriend is staying
with me and I can't afford to mess things up
with my sugar Daddy because he's talking about buying me
a new car.

Speaker 2 (10:09):
M Oh, you got to be in that clowning girl.

Speaker 4 (10:14):
Any time they talking about buying you a car, you
got to be in there doing multiple monkey flips per.

Speaker 2 (10:21):
Evening, per army crawling towards the bed.

Speaker 3 (10:27):
Harby crying her elbows.

Speaker 2 (10:31):
Diving off doughknobs. You just in there.

Speaker 4 (10:35):
You in there, just clowning, leaning over the couch, picking
up the remote, talking about.

Speaker 2 (10:41):
You see it? Shit? Okay, heah, you in there playing.

Speaker 4 (10:46):
My mom said, I'm thirty, now show I should focus
on the man with money and not the broken Dumping
my boyfriend on Easter would be too harsh. Wait a minute,
where wildly mals come from? You know, y'all kill me
doing all this moral stuff. Then dumbing him on Easter
be too harsh? Well, you got don get rid of him?
Now Easter is this Sunday?

Speaker 3 (11:09):
Yeah?

Speaker 4 (11:10):
I need advice. How do I decide who I'm spending
Easter with? Lady, You have a bigger problem than who
you spending Easter with. You need to decide who you
gonna be with. You can't be with both these men.
It ain't working. You too stupid to be with two men. No,
you don't even have the basics of cheating down.

Speaker 3 (11:32):
Pat, You can't lie.

Speaker 4 (11:36):
Well, now you should tell sugar Daddy you don't have
men at your house. M you know, unless we go
in to the next level, I don't have men at
my house and that would force him to get a hotel.
But then how you gonna go over there to the
hotel because your boyfriend gonna be at your apartment. You see,

(11:58):
you have a quandary because you got to get over
to this hotel because there's a new car riding on
the lane, so you got to get to that hotel. Now,
this man that already said he wanted to stay at
your apartment because he want to cook for you, So
now he trying to do some other stuff. And he's divorced.
Obviously you think he's divorced, or he should be divorced,

(12:23):
and he could potentially not be divorced because he's scared
to get that hotel room. So now you got a
whole bunch of liars in a relationship, Sugar daddy, broke boy,

(12:44):
and stupid girl. Yeah see, we have a how do
you decide? You need to decide who you're gonna be with.
Your Mama's right, you're thirty. You need to get your
focus on now what you're gonna dose. So I can't
tell you how to do this here because you don't
already messing right.
