Don't love you? You gotta turn.

Speaker 3 (01:31):

Speaker 4 (01:40):
I got to turn the mouth turn, probably got to
turn the mouth. Mount the word of the money jumpo me.

Speaker 2 (01:55):
Come come on you think.

Speaker 6 (02:01):
Uh huh, I sure will. Good morning everybody. You are
listening to the voice, come on dig me now. One
and only Steve Harvey got a radio show. Okay, here
we go. I was working out. I was talking to
a buddy of mine, and I was telling him something

(02:22):
that Bishop td Jakes told me one time. I heard
him say it. He said, I would hate to die
and not do the thing that I was born to do.
I would hate to die and not do the theme

(02:43):
that I was born to do. Man, oh man, oh man, man.
That hit me like a like a like a pile
of bricks man, because it made me feel so grateful
that God has allowed me to live my life this
way now. And I'm talking about grateful for all of it,

(03:08):
the good, the bad, and the ugly, and I have
had all of them. The person you see today. It
ain't always who I was. It was on the inside
of me, but it hadn't externalized itself, if that's a word.
It hadn't been bought out. It was in here, but

(03:29):
it was under development. Who I am today was a process.
But like I said before, don't trip. He ain't through
with me yet. Even today, I'm still an imperfect soldier
for Christ. Today. I still fall short oftentimes. But I'll

(03:53):
tell you what, I'm ever grateful for the life I have.
And you know what, I want to courage everybody today
to explore your possibilities. I mean, man, explore your possibilities.
Why would you not want to find out, discover, or

(04:19):
know what it is God got for you? Why would
you not want to achieve or accomplish all of your possibilities?

Speaker 2 (04:30):
Now, as I ask you this.

Speaker 6 (04:32):
Question, I want you to know that the devil is busy,
that he plays mind tricks. So as you hear this,
I already know he's saying to some of y'all, Yeah, Steve,
that's easy for you to say, but I didn't got
myself in this situation right here. You ain't nothing too
hard for God, nothing nothing, And see so as you

(04:55):
listen to me, try to get your mind open to this.
Why would you not want to explore all of your
life's possibilities, what's possible with your life? And I'm talking
about from right where you are right now. I'm not
asking you to change. I'm not asking you to do anything.

(05:16):
I'm telling you this is a fact that God can
get you from right where you are right now. Broken, misled, misguided, misunderstood, mistaken,
all of that, misfortunate, all of the missus you've been

(05:40):
talking about in your life.

Speaker 1 (05:42):
You know you.

Speaker 6 (05:42):
I missed the lottery, I missed my ride. They fired me.
I missed the deadline. I didn't get it. Miss people.
People just miss theay self to death. If you've been
all in missus, God can get you from right where
you are. God a home run hitter. I'm here to
tell you that he's a home run hitter. He's a

(06:05):
put him over the wall whenever he want to, all
the time. And you can be a recipient of some
of these home runs. He'll put the bat in your hand.
But you got to swing. Now, listen to me. You've
got to stop feeling sorry for yourself. You got to
stop holding yourself down with beating yourself up. He won't
hold you down about it if you don't hold yourself

(06:25):
down about it. But I'm gonna tell you one more time.
The devil is busy. So what the devil do is
He make you think you ain't worthy. He make you
think that you've done something so despicable that you can't
come back from it.

Speaker 2 (06:37):
He makes you feel like you so low you can't
go up high.

Speaker 6 (06:41):
He knock you down and make you feel like you've
been knocked down hard than anybody else.

Speaker 2 (06:44):
You can't get up.

Speaker 6 (06:45):
He rolled you so deep down in that ditch you
can't see over the edge. God can come get you
from no matter where you are. I'm telling you, man,
you ain't in no hold too deep for God. Magic
Johnson to tell you that. Listen to me, you ain't
in no hole too deep for God. Steve Harvey can
tell you that you ain't in a hole too deep

(07:07):
for God. Tyler Perry can tell you that. I can
name you some people. Bishop Jakes can tell you that.
I could tell you. Kenneth Olmah can tell you that.
Bishop Kenneth Omar I could tell you some people. Kirk
Franklin can tell you that. Donny mcclerklin can tell you that.
I just know some people personally man that then been
in a hole. Joel Oldstein can tell you about it.

(07:29):
I know some people man been down, been in a
hole so deep.

Speaker 2 (07:33):
I bet you. Paula Dean can tell you about it. See.
But but you know what, then here we.

Speaker 6 (07:39):
Go see see see you know, see we don't like
to talk about that because now we want everybody to
pay extra hard for some mistakes they made when clearly
an excuse.

Speaker 2 (07:51):
Me for being a new Christian.

Speaker 6 (07:52):
But there is a prayer that I've been saying since
I was a little bitty boy, and it took me
till I was a grown man to understand it. Forgive
us our true us passes as we forgive those who
trust pass against us. So see, it ain't my job
to hold nobody down, to keep my knee on somebody's neck.

Speaker 2 (08:10):
Who am I.

Speaker 6 (08:11):
I'm gonna need some forgiveness in a second here, probably today.
See So all this you holding people down with the
way you feel, inviot them. And she shouldn't have said this,
and she'll never get it. I'll never support this again. Man,
Get up, get up and get real.

Speaker 2 (08:26):
You for real.

Speaker 6 (08:27):
You think you ain't finn need forgiveness real soon you
ain't finna make a diabolical mistake in your life.

Speaker 2 (08:32):
You don't think you are.

Speaker 6 (08:33):
I have thousands of them, probably gonna make a few
hundred more for I get up out of here. So
I've decided to be in a forgiving business because I
want God to forgive. My trust passes as I forgive
those who trustpass against me, you understand.

Speaker 2 (08:51):
See excuse me for being a new Christian.

Speaker 6 (08:54):
Get I get tired of talking aston to people man
supposed to be saved and talking about dear Christians.

Speaker 2 (09:00):
I want that type of religion. Man, I ain't in
that no more. I ain't in that.

Speaker 6 (09:02):
You can call me wrong if you want to say
it how you want to say. I ain't in that
no more. I ain't in all that. You can feel
how you want to feel about me. But I got
proof that God work in my life.

Speaker 2 (09:12):
You know, I can't.

Speaker 6 (09:13):
Hardly get it out Sometime when people ask me something
about depot on the inside of me, about my soul
and how I used to be, and my journey and
my trip. Because people don't know the trip I've been on.
You may have been on one worse than me. But
you know what, you ain't in.

Speaker 2 (09:26):
A whole too deep. God can't get you out of.

Speaker 6 (09:29):
Man, I wish I want people to remember that, man,
God is a redeemer, He the great I am. So
if you ain't got nothing, now what you asking for?
You know you might not have nothing because you ain't
asking for nothing. Quit asking God to get you out
of debt and ask God for a life of abundance.
Then you take the money and you get out of debt.
You keep asking to get out of debt. You keep

(09:50):
being in debt to get out of Come on, man,
what you asking God for?

Speaker 2 (09:54):
I'm just tripping today, that's all. I'm sorry. I apologize
here listening to the seve ladies and gentlemen. You know what.

Speaker 6 (10:05):
The time has come for us to realize that, man o,
man o man. How many times can God give us
the opportunity and we not take advantage of it. I
want everybody today to take this gift that has been
given to you, and they call it's a gift.

Speaker 2 (10:26):
That's why they call it the present.

Speaker 6 (10:29):
What He's given to you today, and I want you
to take full advantage of it. Start with some gratitude
and I'm talking to myself. Start with some gratitude because
I've had a series of things go wrong lately. But
sometimes you got to praise him and thank him even
in the middle of it, because his track record for

(10:49):
me surviving those tough times is one thousand percent. I
have no doubt that this too shall pass, and I'm
gonna be strong with it.

Speaker 2 (10:58):

Speaker 1 (22:13):
The top of the hour.

Speaker 10 (22:14):
But right now it is time to ask the CLO
Chief Love Officer, Steve Harvey. All right, Hello, this is
from Tracy and Syracuse. Tracy writes, I was upset with
my sister and I called her a B word. My
toddler told her what I called her, and she told
my child that she's a little be word.

Speaker 1 (22:36):
For repeating it, my.

Speaker 10 (22:38):
Sister won't apologize, so now we're not speaking. How could
she say that to my child?

Speaker 2 (22:44):
Wow? How could she see?

Speaker 6 (22:47):
Your sister don't understand the number one gangster rule, be
wary of the person who brings the message to you.

Speaker 10 (22:56):
Uh huh.

Speaker 6 (22:57):
And that's what your sister did cause you to already
was offended. And then she thinking your little girl trying
to be messy? How old is the baby?

Speaker 10 (23:06):
And she didn't say a toddler though.

Speaker 6 (23:12):
Ain't nobody got a problem with the toddler talking like that.
But then the taler got it from the mama.

Speaker 13 (23:18):
Yeah, kids are spunge just they soak up.

Speaker 10 (23:21):
But she's wrong for that.

Speaker 6 (23:24):
Yeah, she was wrong for attack before attacking the toddler
because off taler. You know exactly where that tddler got
it from. Correct, that's not it. That ain't that ain't
wah wah, that ain't mill that ain't you know? That's
yeah specific, So I think what your sister was wrong

(23:45):
for doing that. But now she don't want to apologize
to the to the little girl because she taking it
out on you and she sent the mess. She tried
to hurt you. So she tried to hurt the baby.
That's what that is and it ain't no getting around it.
You might have to slap your sister issue.

Speaker 10 (24:00):
Okay, baby, all right? Moving on Colo to Elena and Tacoma.
Elena writes, my neighbor is dating my friend. Yesterday I
saw a female pull up with a bag of food
and she stayed all night. I told my friend the
guy told her it was a door dash delivery. This

(24:22):
is not his first time. Should I set him up
so she can see it for herself?

Speaker 1 (24:27):
Wow?

Speaker 2 (24:29):
So did.

Speaker 6 (24:31):
Because I never heard dough dash. So when dough dash come?
If they tied they stay at your house. They you know,
I just need to know. You need to know how
dough dash work. You's my fifth delivery tonight. Well come

(24:51):
on in and watch a little TV. Take a load
of You're everyone blanket right there. You know, I don't
know how He said do.

Speaker 9 (25:03):
Dash though, but I don't know how do dash worked?

Speaker 13 (25:07):
You know it's door, door dash, oh door?

Speaker 2 (25:14):
Oh they come to the door.

Speaker 1 (25:16):
Oh you thought it was money? Do dash? Are you really?

Speaker 6 (25:25):
I thought you meant hole dash?

Speaker 2 (25:29):
My bad? Go ahead, sy all right.

Speaker 10 (25:31):
Next this is from Findley and Lake. Charles Finley rights.
My wife was yelling at me about leaving a cup
in the sink, and she said she had to whoop
my But because I know better, I told her she
had me confused with our son because she said no
she didn't. But she said no, she didn't. How do

(25:52):
I stop this disrespect from continuing?

Speaker 2 (25:54):
Wow?

Speaker 9 (25:55):
Oh you Budy gets your ass about him. Yeah, I'll
tell you what you need to test, and said, first
of all, leave.

Speaker 2 (26:03):
Another cup in the sink. That's first.

Speaker 6 (26:05):
Let's just get that started to see where we're going
from there, and then you handle it from there. You're
gonna find out if you're gonna get your uh behind.
What about this cup in the sink? That's what I
would at least look into that.

Speaker 2 (26:18):
I don't.

Speaker 1 (26:19):
Oh yeah, she's not playing. She's playing zero games. She
tried to washing dishes. Why he can't wash this cup?

Speaker 10 (26:27):
Okay, you got me confused with your with our son.

Speaker 2 (26:31):
Okay.

Speaker 6 (26:34):
We got to rule at our house though, where you
can't put no cups in the sink. You have to
put it next to the sink cause somebody put something
in there and chip the cup. So we can't do that.

Speaker 1 (26:44):
But you don't do dishes anyway.

Speaker 2 (26:46):
So I saw a dish washer the other day and
had to open it twice. I didn't even know that's
where it was.

Speaker 1 (26:55):
Rich.

Speaker 6 (26:56):
This is interesting because she has got cabinetree on the
front of it.

Speaker 12 (27:00):
I thought it was the last so you selling it
was the last time you've been in the kitchen, all right,
last one, Steve, This is the last one.

Speaker 10 (27:13):
This is from Regina in Detroit. Regina says, one of
my closest friends got married recently, and her husband doesn't
want us to be friends anymore after he found out
that me and his wife pulled around when we were
in our twenties. She's cut me off because of him.
Why would he do that?

Speaker 6 (27:31):
Why would he do that? Because he don't want no
more trouble. Oh oh, so if y'all just freez now,
y'all don't remember what y'all did.

Speaker 10 (27:40):
That was when they were in their twenties.

Speaker 2 (27:42):
Though, you don't remember nothing from your twenties.

Speaker 10 (27:45):
Yeah, of course, of course.

Speaker 6 (27:48):
Yeah, And so that's what he's saying. No, that ain't cool, y'all.
I don't want y'all hanging out no more because he
don't want to have to deal with wondering what's going on.

Speaker 2 (27:56):
So yeah, I understand for selfish reason.

Speaker 6 (27:59):
No, that's for jealousy and rights. You're my wife. I
don't want you over there with nobody that you messed
around with, period, what's what's the matter? But but what?

Speaker 2 (28:11):
But what said?

Speaker 10 (28:12):
Because I'm very closer close friends one of her closest friends.

Speaker 2 (28:16):
They was too damn close.

Speaker 1 (28:19):
Think they got over it and moved on, Steve.

Speaker 9 (28:22):
With all that all on for what is y'all Doing's
I got y'all close, but that's hey, that's too damn close.

Speaker 3 (28:32):
A friend.

Speaker 5 (28:33):
That's a girl.

Speaker 10 (28:34):
I mean, you don't do that.

Speaker 2 (28:35):
That was more than friend.

Speaker 10 (28:36):
In your twenties. Huh, you don't do the same thing
you used to do in your twenties.

Speaker 6 (28:41):
Well, I can take you one thing. I never I
ain't never ever been with one of my friends, one
of your friends. So now, no, why you shouldn't even
have brought that up?

Speaker 2 (28:52):
Get bad?

Speaker 1 (28:55):
Who told? Oh?

Speaker 14 (28:59):
Well, yeah, so that's it. So that's a no, that's
a hard note.

Speaker 10 (29:06):
Okay, so she hasn't get new friends?

Speaker 2 (29:08):
Now, yeah, we ain't finna do that no more.

Speaker 10 (29:13):
So he can just come in and just make that
rule and like that and that's it.

Speaker 2 (29:18):
Just like that.

Speaker 6 (29:20):
I don't see what the okay, ladies, there we go.
Let's stop all this right here. Your man and y'all
getting married. You find out that his so called friend
right now is a female and they used to sleep together,
and you cool with them continuing.

Speaker 1 (29:35):
To be friends. It ain't no different, that's different. Standard?

Speaker 2 (29:40):
How is it different? Tell me?

Speaker 1 (29:42):
Its standard? First of all, we can't do.

Speaker 2 (29:45):
They slept together.

Speaker 4 (29:49):
They did it.

Speaker 2 (29:50):
They fooled around. It's the same.

Speaker 1 (29:54):
It's not the same.

Speaker 2 (29:55):
And you know, well, okay, first of all, I know
it's not the.

Speaker 1 (29:59):
Same, thank you. We know it's a lot.

Speaker 14 (30:05):
But I can't condone it, so all right, being a man,
you can't.

Speaker 10 (30:11):
All right, thank you, Colo. Coming up at the top
of the hour, we'll have a weekend recap for you
right after this. You're listening to the same Harvey Morning show. Well, guys,
it is Black History Month, whether you like it or not.
And it's Black History Month. Okay, we plan to celebrate
it regardless. But let's go to the headlines first. The

(30:33):
country has been in unrest the past few days over
back to back tragedies in our nation's capital and in Philadelphia.
The biggest tragedy is our commander in chief, Donald Trump.
So let's start with his initial response to the devastating
and avoidable loss of lives in the Potomac River last Wednesday.
Trump told reporters that he has a strong suspicion that

(30:58):
DEEI is the reason for the DC crash. Excuse me, excuse.

Speaker 6 (31:06):
Me, that's hold. But their official reports are out now.
The military helicopter was flying above the one hundred foot
limit for helicopters that night. That's officially out.

Speaker 10 (31:21):
Okay, they need to pass that along for the president. Oh,
because he also blamed the Biden and Obama administrations. Wow,
for the crash.

Speaker 2 (31:33):
Wow.

Speaker 10 (31:33):
He said that the Biden administration thought the Federal Aviation
Administration was too white and insinuated that diversity, equity and
inclusion took jobs from workers that are quote psychologically superior.

Speaker 13 (31:48):
Why y'all vote for this man. It's beyond this man, right, Okay?

Speaker 10 (31:53):
Basically Donald Pearn said white people are psychologically superior to us,
black people, other minorities as well. It's only been a month.
It's only been a month, guys. And Donald Trump has
already been called the worst president in history.

Speaker 9 (32:08):
Yeah, he was that the first time, the first term.

Speaker 5 (32:14):
Too.

Speaker 2 (32:15):
Right.

Speaker 15 (32:15):
If he won't white people to be, you know, psychologically superior,
he needs to stop talking.

Speaker 6 (32:21):
Yeah theory, you're throwing this right out to wonder. I
like him talking, but it just shows, I mean, it
completely exposes his thought process. You're looking at a guy
who can't run again. You're looking at a guy who
is going to do everything in his power to show

(32:43):
his power and he has nothing to lose. He gonna
pardon himself. He got rid of the Justice Department. All
these charges they waiting on him to get out of
office is gonna be gone. It's gonna be It's gonna
be nothing. This dude didn't got away, Scott free, Scott free.

Speaker 13 (33:00):
He gonna change the constitution, try to run what he
can run again?

Speaker 1 (33:04):
I have another term third.

Speaker 2 (33:06):
Okay, call, okay. So let's say he run again.

Speaker 9 (33:10):
Yeah, then that means Obama can run again. Let's let's
rock again, Let's rock, Let's go and go for.

Speaker 1 (33:23):
Let's do it.

Speaker 2 (33:24):
Let's do.

Speaker 11 (33:27):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (33:27):
But I don't think. I don't think. Just again, I don't.

Speaker 9 (33:33):
I think Obama would save the world if he come
back and go against him.

Speaker 2 (33:37):
I think so.

Speaker 13 (33:38):
But that's why they like this, not because they couldn't
handle him the first time.

Speaker 1 (33:42):
That's why he's losing because he was a black man.

Speaker 6 (33:46):
Well but see everybody that's voted for him, this is
what we got. This is what we have. And I'm
not I'm just watching it all. But I can't say no, no, no, no,
I told you it's notine none to nine.

Speaker 2 (34:02):
He told you.

Speaker 6 (34:04):
But what But what a lot of common people don't
know is these policies were going to affect them because
what they did not realize was he never cared about them.
He cared about the rich. He gonna do whatever. And
I tell you what else he just did. He just
put them tariffs on Mexico, Canada and China. Those tariffs

(34:27):
are gonna raise prices. Now he's trying to hide it
like he's doing that because he wants to tax fitting
all when it comes in.

Speaker 2 (34:40):
But y'all don't know where to fit and all that.

Speaker 9 (34:44):
This crazy bro I've been watching TV.

Speaker 6 (34:48):
Man, I'm watching this. He's hiding it under the drug stuff.
But America never addresses the real problem. We are the
number one consumer of recreational drugs in the world. It's
supply and demand. They can't ship it over here unless
we bind it. That's the problem. We need to start
at tackling.

Speaker 10 (35:08):
It's a mess. We still have to say our prayers
and our condolences to Philly. On Friday night, a medevac
airplane crashed after departing from Northeast to Philadelphia Airport. On
board was a pediatric patient and her mom, who were
returning home to Tijuana, Mexico, after the child had been
treated for an illness at Philadelphia's Shriner's Children's Hospital. Also

(35:31):
on board were four crew members, a pilot, a co pilot, paramedic,
and doctor. All six people that died on the plane
were Mexican nationals on One other person was killed in
a car and at least nineteen other people were injured
on the ground. So, you know, our prayers and condolences

(35:51):
so sad. Yeah, this is just and back to back.
I think that's what is so hurtful as well. You know,
we weren't recovered from the first one and then the
second one happened.

Speaker 9 (36:02):
Yeah.

Speaker 13 (36:03):
Yeah, And it's sad that the president has this all diversity.

Speaker 1 (36:08):
He's just coming after diversity. It's just sickness. You're racist.

Speaker 10 (36:13):
I mean, the fact that he can stay out of
his mouth now psychologically superior, come on, who.

Speaker 6 (36:22):
He's But you know, look, he's always felt that way.
He's in that age bracket where they constantly feel that way.
There are newborn people who feel that way too. It's
just like Martin Luther King said, some people are born
with the drum major instinct and simply think they are
out front and leading simply by the color of your skin. Yeah,

(36:42):
and that's what we have here.

Speaker 14 (36:46):
Yeah, he's making money and skin related policies.

Speaker 10 (36:51):
Yeah yeah, all right, again, our condolence is going out
to those families now coming up at twenty minutes after
the hour we'll switch gear where Carla will be coming
back with a recap of the Grammys right after this.
You're listening Steve Harvey Morning Show. It's time to talk

(37:11):

should have, and Globe Life makes it easy with no
medical exam, just a simple application and coverage options up
to one hundred thousand dollars. Get the coverage you need
in twenty twenty five. Go online at globelifradio dot com

Speaker 13 (39:12):
Bit and he's gonna throw a tantrum this morning.

Speaker 2 (39:17):
Right.

Speaker 13 (39:17):
I loved part of her acceptance speech. She said she
thinks the word genre is used just to keep people
in their place, and so congratulations. It was so cute
when she won that award. First, she was sitting there
and she was shocked. She was genuinely shocked that she
won Country Album of the Year, and her daughter Blue
Ivy looked at her like, Mama, get up.

Speaker 2 (39:39):
I did not know.

Speaker 1 (39:41):
Isn't she beautiful growing up? Yeah, she's a beautiful young lady,

Speaker 13 (40:05):
Diana Ross presented me with the residents, right and let
me get to it.

Speaker 1 (40:10):
Will Smith made his first.

Speaker 13 (40:12):
Appearance, had a live awards show ship right the Oscars.
He was a presenter to the All Star tribute to
Quincy Jones, Cynthia Rebo, Saint Hull.

Speaker 1 (40:23):

She was called Stevie Wonder played the harmonica sitting right
next to Herbie Hancock, Steve Legends in the building. Janelle
Money performed Don't Stop Till You Get Enough tribute of course.
Michael Jackson, Quincy Jones produced thriller. Queen Latifa presented Alicia
Keys with the Doctor Drake Global Impact Awards. Her speech

(40:46):
was good and she said, DEEI is not a threat,
It's a gift. Drop the Michae Alicia Keys the Grammys

Speaker 1 (41:31):
I have catrick surgery. You have catrick surgery.

Speaker 14 (41:35):
I can see my OUs all better now.

Speaker 2 (41:44):
I got these glasses on. Now I can see it.
It's too much.

Speaker 1 (41:50):
It's just too much.

Speaker 2 (41:51):
It's everything is so close.

Speaker 9 (41:55):
Thank God for it, don't you know? I had asked
him what's the age lent me to get it done?
And they said, normally, you know, it's up to about
sixty ma'am. But I prayed about it and went on
and had it done anyway.

Speaker 10 (42:09):
Okay, and you can see now that's great.

Speaker 9 (42:12):
Well, you know at my age, you know, they went
in there to remove my cat tracks and then they
didn't even find them. They had dissolved, so I don't
know what they did. I was out for about thirty minutes.
I got some eye drops, and Lord have mercy. Is
just better now.

Speaker 10 (42:30):
I know that you've seen that.

Speaker 2 (42:33):
You know I'm looking at fine print now.

Speaker 13 (42:36):
Oh oh okay, and that's hold it away, you know,
got kind of hold it back.

Speaker 9 (42:42):
My one of my grandkids told me to take my
telephone and put the picture, put the.

Speaker 2 (42:47):
Photo thing on it and it'll zume it in for you. Okay.

Speaker 9 (42:51):
That's the only problem was I couldn't find the icon
on the on the phone.

Speaker 1 (42:57):
I couldn't see that to do it.

Speaker 9 (42:58):
I couldn't see that so clearly anyway, what else is
going on?

Speaker 11 (43:04):
Well?

Speaker 10 (43:04):
I wanted to ask you, sister Hotel about you know,
this Sunday is the super Bowl, but these seventeen Louisiana
Republican legislators are asking that the performers, you know, Kendrick
Lamar at the super Bowl halftime show, will sign a
contract which states that they won't do anything lude during

(43:26):
their performance. So I just wanted to ask.

Speaker 2 (43:28):
You won't do that loud in New Orleans?

Speaker 10 (43:31):
Yes, ma'am.

Speaker 1 (43:31):
What's your take on it?

Speaker 2 (43:32):
Yeah, well they got a lot of nerd.

Speaker 9 (43:37):
That's a whole lot of nerve. Ain't these the same people?
So it's got the French Quada Olton twenty four.

Speaker 1 (43:43):
Hours a day.

Speaker 9 (43:45):
Yeah, you go in there and watch a monkey do
some things he ain't supposed to do a monkey. You
walk right on and there they got women's in that
and they're selling on a strip of shoals.

Speaker 2 (43:57):
And all this here you can walk around. You're in
Louise Honer.

Speaker 9 (44:01):
You walking around with an open container and they don't
give it there?

Speaker 1 (44:04):
What's isn't it dack or whatever?

Speaker 9 (44:08):
Then they got women in here pulling their clothes off,
sitting up in here, pulling their clothes off, drawing it,
making their brows come up, just for a pack of beads.
And now they want the rappers to sign for indecen
See the whole damn city ain't decent.

Speaker 2 (44:25):
We don't. We don't want to stop that part.

Speaker 10 (44:28):
Are you plenty on going to the to the Super Bowl?

Speaker 11 (44:31):
Oh?

Speaker 2 (44:32):
I goes down there every year to save souls.

Speaker 1 (44:35):
Oh, yes, man. And that's how I do it.

Speaker 9 (44:39):
I take a bunch of beads and if you pull
your top up, then I know you need Jesus.

Speaker 1 (44:44):
Oh you carried a lot of beads.

Speaker 2 (44:47):
Yeah, that's that's how I know who need to repent.
That's the boot I said. It's a tricky move.

Speaker 9 (44:54):
I got purse full of beads and my throw them
at you and you pull your top up, I get
you you yourself?

Speaker 10 (45:02):
Or is it with the Missionary board or.

Speaker 6 (45:04):
Just a group of us, you know, because once we
throw the beads, we don't let you keep them because
I'm not buying beads every year.

Speaker 2 (45:10):
That ain't what you're doing with them. I got them
from some Catholic people.

Speaker 9 (45:16):
In your younger years, did you ever pull your top
up and get some beads?

Speaker 1 (45:19):
Oh?

Speaker 2 (45:21):
Interesting, now, look who then jumped in here? In your
younger years? Did you have half? Yes?

Speaker 9 (45:33):
I did.

Speaker 2 (45:36):
In your younger years, you ever jumped and thought you
were tall? Never answered the question right? In your younger years?
Did you always had him glasses on?

Speaker 9 (45:51):
Because maybe you need to get yourself some cadre surgery cataract.

Speaker 10 (45:55):
It is the nephew in the frank phone call for today,
thank you since your death. You're listening to the Steve
Harvey Morning Show coming up at about four minutes after
the hour. It's my strawberry letter for today, and the
subject is I love him, but I feel like we're stuck. Okay,
we'll get into that, find out what that's all about.

Speaker 9 (46:18):
We all have are going through that, though not all
of us.

Speaker 1 (46:23):
Right now, it's time.

Speaker 2 (46:26):
We all are going through this.

Speaker 10 (46:28):
Go ahead there, it's time for the nephew and today's
prank phone phone call. What you got for his neph?

Speaker 2 (46:36):
All right, shall be going down to the church.

Speaker 9 (46:38):
This right here is the church Gospel quiz. The Church
Gospel Quiz. There's a white guy married to a black woman.
So if you're gonna come to our church, there's some
things you need to know. There's some things you need
to know, there's some customs that you need to be away.

Speaker 2 (47:00):
All right.

Speaker 9 (47:00):
This is what what we're gonna do, is we're gonna
go through the Church Gospel Quiz so we can get
him on the same path that we own. Because because
you know that's that's just how we do. When you
come up in our church, you even know how we roll. Okay,
all right, cat dog, if you would the Church Gospel quid.

Speaker 11 (47:22):
This is Grant, our grand Grant Stevens. Right. Yes, hey,
hey Greg, this is brother Lewis Finley. I'm calling from
Mount Siny Missionary Baptist Church. You you and your wife
just joined a couple of weeks ago, am I right?

Speaker 16 (47:37):
Absolutely?

Speaker 11 (47:38):
Yes? Okay, So now listen, I wanted to reach out
to you. I know you guys have started the uh
the orientation and from my understanding, you you finished one
one class of the orientation. You got three more to go?
Is that right? Yeah? All right, all right, all right. So,
first of all, I want to say welcome to Mount

(47:59):
Sinai and and I hope you are enjoying yourself. I
know that you and your wife are a mixed couple.
You you're a Caucasian and she's she's black. Are you
Are you liking the church so far? Grant?

Speaker 16 (48:13):
Absolutely, we really are enjoying it. We completed our first
orientation and uh yeah, so far, we're really enjoying it.

Speaker 11 (48:20):
Okay, Okay, did I catch it at a bad time.

Speaker 16 (48:23):
I am a work right now, but it's okay. I've
got a couple, I've got a couple of.

Speaker 11 (48:26):
Minutes, Okay, okay. I just wanted to call you, man.
I was worried I know you, because I don't think
you noticed. But you are the first Caucasian to join
our church, and I just want to make sure you
kind of knew the language and and just just kind
of knowing what the Black Church is all about. And
there's certain sayings and different things I think you should know,

(48:50):
so that you know. I just don't want you to
say that the wrong thing while you.

Speaker 2 (48:54):
At the church.

Speaker 11 (48:55):
If that makes sense, okay, okay, So so what I
wanted to like, I wanted to give you a little
Black Church quiz so you can kind of maybe if
you could let me know where you are, you know,
if you're on a lower level or a high level
as far as being knowledgeable about the Black Church like steel,

(49:15):
This blank in for me, grant And if you don't matter,
I just want to take a little bit of your
time and I'll let you get back to work. But
first of all, give a blank to God? What would
go in that blank? Right there? First of all, give
a blank to God.

Speaker 16 (49:31):
Now I can think of something has give thanks to God?

Speaker 11 (49:36):
No, see that's wrong. See that's wrong. See see what
it is is. First of all, give a honor to God.
All right? Remember that. First of all, give an honor
to God. You got that?

Speaker 2 (49:46):
Okay?

Speaker 11 (49:46):
Yes, yes, okay. First of all, give an honor to God,
who is the blank of my life? What what? What
goes in the blank? First of all, give an honor
to God, who is the blank of my life, the
love of my life. No, no, see that's that's that's
that's wrong. First of all, give an honor to God,

(50:08):
who is the head of my life. Are you sure that?

Speaker 16 (50:14):
I'm sorry, Okay, I was just are you sure? Are
you sure about that?

Speaker 11 (50:17):
Oh? I'm definitely sure about Man, don't, don't. Don't. What
I don't want you to do is question what I know.
I'm from the Black Church. I know you.

Speaker 16 (50:25):
No, I wasn't. I wasn't questioning you, sir. I wasn't question.

Speaker 11 (50:27):
I'm sorry.

Speaker 16 (50:27):
I just always heard it that way.

Speaker 11 (50:29):
But okay, So so I'm trying to give you the
understanding of knowing what the Black Church is about.

Speaker 16 (50:35):
You know what I'm saying, I understand. I'm just I
appreciate you.

Speaker 11 (50:38):
I apologize, Okay.

Speaker 16 (50:40):
No, No, Look, i don't know these answers obviously, but
I've got a meeting. I got to get you here
in a minute like this. I'm curious if everyone in
the church gets these stone calls.

Speaker 11 (50:50):
Well wait a minute, wait a minute, grand I know what,
you have a meeting, But what's more important your meeting
or knowing your position at the Black Church? What what's
more important?

Speaker 16 (51:00):
I really don't have time for this right now. I
can't believe it's actually happening, Like, did you did your
pastor even know that you're calling you right now?

Speaker 11 (51:07):
Well? No, I took the liberty of myself when I
realized you was Caucasian, that I would call and try
to help you so you would know what to do
when you're in the black church when people are saying
certain things you okay, okay, Grant, if you don't, man,
just do this funny Grant, like, do you know what
hooping is? Hooping?

Speaker 16 (51:26):
Like, who's a hooping?

Speaker 11 (51:28):
No, hooping is when the pastor is at the end
of his sermon. So listen to this, good God him
do that funny if you If you would, Grant, Oh hell,
oh god, oh man, no no, no more, come on

(51:51):
you women, Oh good God hot him like I gotta get.

Speaker 1 (51:59):
I can't believe him? Oh no no, yeah, oh god holmighty?

Speaker 11 (52:06):
Okay go Hey Greg, do you think maybe as possible
as Dick mean, you could have some sessions before you
come back to the church and I can prepare you more.

Speaker 1 (53:05):
No joke.

Speaker 11 (53:06):
Well, I didn't mean to put you to get hostile
like that. I didn't mean to get you. I didn't
mean to upset you or nothing like that. What cannot

Speaker 16 (53:44):

It could be yours. Buckle up and hold on tight.
We got a fully heavity and Strawberry.

Speaker 10 (56:23):
Letter, thank you nephew subject. I love him, but I
feel like we're stuck. Dear Stephen Shirley, I've known my
husband for seven years and he is still saying that
everything we have hoped for and stuff we dream about
will happen soon. Meanwhile, he stopped being eager to look
at at new homes for us, even though I'm pregnant

(56:44):
and his parents' old three bedroom house is too small
for us. We are a lot of commotion at night
on our street, but he thinks that this area will
be gentrified soon and will be instant millionaires if we
wait to sell the house. I've been working hard and
saving money. I got a second job to buy the
essentials for our first child, and he always says it's

(57:06):
a waste of money because the baby won't care how
the room looks. It's a struggle to spend money to
better myself or him. I buy what I want him
to wear, and he will wear most of what I buy,
unless he thinks it was too expensive. After a year
of marriage, he started penny pinching. We stopped taking vacations,

(57:26):
and he cut up my American Express card. He said,
that's how marriage goes. He then started saying that I
want to keep up with everyone I see on social media,
and he's right. I do want to have a lavish
lifestyle because we work hard and shouldn't have to accept less.
I would like a new home close to better schools,
and I want to get a small SUV since I'm

(57:48):
having his baby. There is nothing wrong with doing better,
and I keep telling him that he needs to change
his mindset. I don't know why he snapped out after
we got married, but we are stuck in the same
lifestyle and that we had when we started dating. I
hate to say it, but I regret marrying him sometimes.
I was fly a f before I met my husband.

(58:11):
How can I turn this hopeless?

Speaker 2 (58:15):
What that means, sir?

Speaker 10 (58:17):
You know what it means?

Speaker 1 (58:19):
You don't know what that means for.

Speaker 10 (58:22):
Okay, I'll tell you. I'll tell you off ear, ya
know what it means. Or I have to get someone
that curses and then I'll.

Speaker 1 (58:28):
Fly fly as all right. You know what it means.
It's the same f as f A A F.

Speaker 2 (58:42):
Is the Federal Aviation Association.

Speaker 1 (58:48):
All right, So you know what?

Speaker 10 (58:51):
You guys really couldn't be more unequally yoked at this point,
I mean, you have nothing in common. You were right
in the sense that there's nothing wrong with wanting to
be better and elevate yourself in life. There's nothing wrong
with that.

Speaker 1 (59:04):
Having a.

Speaker 10 (59:06):
Successful mindset is nothing wrong with that. But not if
you can't afford it. Okay, you don't like it, but
your husband is right because he knows you're trying to
live a lie right now, not if you want to
live way above your means.

Speaker 1 (59:20):
He's looking out for his family.

Speaker 10 (59:22):
It seems he knows the baby is coming and living
in instagram lifestyle should not be a role.

Speaker 1 (59:28):
Model for you.

Speaker 10 (59:29):
You have to get something that's more real. Only some
of those people really live like that on Instagram. And
those people who are balling out like that, you need
to check their bank accounts because for all you know,
they could be living from paycheck to paycheck, okay, and
pinching pennies like you say your husband is doing. And
guess what, A lot of them really don't look like

(59:50):
that on social media. It's smoking mirrors, it's filters. We
talk about that a lot on this show. You can
get all kinds of apps and change your skin, your eyes, body,
all of that. So I just say to you, your
husband is not wrong. He might have some communication issues
and not know how to express his frustration to you.
So you got to take that into consideration and concentrate

(01:00:13):
on being a real person, flaws and all. Be authentically.
You don't let social media dictate to you how you
should live. Be happy, appreciate where you are, be grateful
without social media because you and your husband have major
life stuff going on right now, life changing things. You
got a baby coming. You need to be a good

(01:00:35):
example for your baby and not let's try to do
what the people on social media do that you say, Steve.

Speaker 6 (01:00:43):
I agree with you, Shirley in some respects, but I
also understand what this lady is saying, and this is
a hard spot for her to be In the title
of the letter is I love him, but I feel
like we're stuck. Well, you know, and your husband's seven.

Speaker 2 (01:01:00):
Years and he's still saying that everything we have.

Speaker 6 (01:01:02):
Hoped for and stuff we dream about what happens soon,
she says. Meanwhile, he stopped being eager to look at
new homes for us, even though I'm pregnant and we
live in his parents' own three bed roomhouse. When a
person says he stopped being eager. What does that really mean?
Because if he's saying we're going to have everything we

(01:01:24):
hope for and stuff we dream about, it'll happen soon.

Speaker 2 (01:01:28):
But he stopped being eager, meaning he's stopped.

Speaker 6 (01:01:32):
What this means is he has stopped making effort and
he stopped making moves. Now we have a problem, because
guess what, Faith without works is dead.

Speaker 2 (01:01:48):
And I think that's what we have here.

Speaker 6 (01:01:50):
A man that's saying everything gonna be all right, a
man that's believing that everything gonna be all right, but
a man and it ain't doing nothing to make it right.

Speaker 2 (01:02:03):
That's what this letter is really about.

Speaker 6 (01:02:06):
Now she's looking at stuff and not she wants to
move out the house because she says it's already too
small for us. Then he said she you know, she said,
we are a lot of commotion going on that night
on our street. But he thinks that this area will
be gentrified soon and we'll be instant millionaires. Well, bro,

(01:02:28):
when the neighborhood is gentrified, that means they move out
all the people that's in it to bring in new people.

Speaker 10 (01:02:37):
All right, hang on, Steve with that thought, Well, that
part two of your response coming up at twenty three
minutes after the hour. Today's strawberry letter subject is I
love him, but I feel like we're stuck.

Speaker 1 (01:02:48):
We'll get back into it right after this.

Speaker 10 (01:02:53):
Hey, this is your girl, Shirley's strawberry. And according to research,
a major challenge that many employers face is the pressure
to hire fast. Well, if you're an employer who can relate,
zip recruiter has figured out how to solve this very problem.
It's smart technology finds qualified candidates quickly. Zip Recruiter is

(01:03:14):
the hiring site employers prefer the most based on G two.
You can invite top candidates for your job to apply.
Go to ZipRecruiter dot com slash strawberry to try it
for free. That's ZipRecruiter dot com slash strawberry. All right,
come on, Steve, let's recap today's strawberry letter. The subject
is I love him, but I feel like we're stuck.

Speaker 6 (01:03:36):
Now, Shirley made some good points when she addressed a
letter because this woman is caught up in social media,
which is all true what she said, but she has
a double plamme of a problem because she feels like
they're stuck.

Speaker 2 (01:03:48):
Y'all been married seven years.

Speaker 6 (01:03:50):
He's still saying everything we had hope for and stuff
we dream about going to happen soon. The problem is,
she says, he stopped being eager to look at new
homes and all this here, and he don't want to move.
And you know, he thinking that if they stay in
this house, gentrification is coming and if they hold on,
it'll be millionaires.

Speaker 2 (01:04:10):
Well, you know here's a problem. Faith without works is dead.

Speaker 6 (01:04:14):
He still thinks they gonna have everything, but he's making
no effort and no moves to make it happen.

Speaker 2 (01:04:21):
That's why the scripture says, faith without works is dead.

Speaker 6 (01:04:25):
So you can want and hope all you want, but
if you ain't willing to do nothing what you want
to happen. And that's where this woman is stuck at
with him. Now they're about to have this baby and
she want to go out and fix the room up.
He said, it's a waste of money because the baby
don't care how the room look. Well, the baby might not,
but she do. And she the mama, and she having

(01:04:48):
a baby, she's gonna go in there and sit in
the new crib and rocking chair and you know, bassing
that and have stuff for the baby that other babies have.

Speaker 2 (01:04:57):
You don't even want your baby to have nothing, So
you don't want nothing.

Speaker 6 (01:05:01):
You don't want your wife to quit want nothing, and
now you don't want to get a baby a damn thing.

Speaker 2 (01:05:05):
Man, Come on, man, and then he will back.

Speaker 9 (01:05:09):
He will wear, but he will wear most of what
you buy unless he thinks it's too expressive.

Speaker 2 (01:05:14):
Now he just want cheap stuff. Better. What that white
shirt called forty dollars? You know you get a white
shirt for fifteen dollars.

Speaker 6 (01:05:27):
Okay, he started penny After a year of marriage, he
started penny pinching. We stopped taking vacations and he caught
up my American Express car. Got talk man, he said,
that's how marriage goes. Now, our pardoner, that's how divorce go.
He then started saying that I want to keep on

(01:05:47):
everybody I see on social media, and he's right. I
do want to have a leverage lifestyle because we work
hard and we shouldn't have to accept lesson.

Speaker 2 (01:05:54):
I would like a new home.

Speaker 6 (01:05:55):
Close to a better school, and I want to get
a small SUV since I'm having his there's nothing wrong
with doing better.

Speaker 2 (01:06:02):
I keep telling it. He needs to change his mindset.

Speaker 6 (01:06:06):
I don't know why he snapped out after we got married,
but we are stuck in the same lifestyle and we
have we stuck in the same lifestyle we had when
we started dating. I hate to say it this at
the beginning of the end, but I regret marrying him sometime. God, dog,
I'd have tied myself to this. Won't nothing, do nothing

(01:06:30):
as made God. I was fly then on what that's
what the letter I was? Oh no, it's said Combs.
It's say I was fly a l Oh yeah, oh,
I had forgot that what it said? I was paraphrasingly,

(01:06:51):
I was flying at before I met my husband. I
have made this trick. Now I'm sitting in here looking
like a damn Debbie don't knob when I go to work.
Now I'm sitting them been here with damn house coach
on the way they move me ass dressed. I'm tired
of going to work looking like I ought to be
in the back making grits and stuff. I'm sick of

(01:07:11):
that's right here. I used to be flying hell when
I met you, I had everything.

Speaker 2 (01:07:15):
I was popping.

Speaker 6 (01:07:17):
I'm still being married Jo soryd. Now I had to
sell my persons and stuff. Hey, but don't worry it,
o baby, because Walmart got a new burking out. Walmart
has a new burking out. You can make a comeback now.

Speaker 2 (01:07:30):
You ain't. It ain't finna be the real one, but
it looks like it from what I understand it does.

Speaker 6 (01:07:36):
Yeah, so I don't know what to tell you about this.
I feel sorry for you. Your husband is in a
place if he don't want nothing.

Speaker 2 (01:07:46):
See.

Speaker 6 (01:07:46):
Some people's version is to cut back. Sometimes cutting back
is necessary, But how about if you make more now?

Speaker 2 (01:07:54):
The problem is if you've lived beyond your meanings.

Speaker 6 (01:07:59):
If you lived beyond your means, then cutting back is
necessary so you can get back within your means. So
what you do make becomes more manageable and appears to
be a plenty. But if what you have don't appear
to be enough, you have two choices. You can cut
back or you can make more. I don't think he's

(01:08:21):
that type of man to go out and make more,
because he ain't finna do that. He's already cut your card.
Once they cut your American Express card up, you're not
getting no damn new SUV. I can just tell you
that right now, he'll get damn what the one, he'll
paint the baby room, but the baby finished sleep in
whatever bed that's in there. He gonna make a bed

(01:08:45):
because it's cheaper. I don't know what he's gonna do.
But your baby ain't fitna have a damn thing. I'm
just gonna tell you that right now. You and the
baby ain't fitna have a damn thing. Leaving him, it's
gonna put you a little bit further behind the eight
ball for a while. So I think you all are

(01:09:06):
gonna have to sit down have some serious conversations. Now,
this ain't high marriage.

Speaker 16 (01:09:12):
Go.

Speaker 6 (01:09:14):
Marriage is a series of compromises, and it's a set
of two people working together. So until y'all get on
that page, you're not fitna have a damn thing and
the baby not getting.

Speaker 2 (01:09:27):
No new clothes.

Speaker 1 (01:09:28):
All right, you can come.

Speaker 2 (01:09:29):
So who y'all know got a baby that can give
y'all they clothes.

Speaker 10 (01:09:33):
You're coming on Today's Strawberry Letter on Instagram and Facebook
at Steve Harvey FM. Also check out the Strawberry Letter

to the Steve Harvey Morning Show.

Speaker 6 (01:09:49):
Hey, Look, you can't let the urge to sing your
favorite songs while you're driving distract you from that truck
drifting toward your lane or that lane splitting biker creeping
up beside. Fortunately, every Hyundai offers advanced safety features that
can alert you to potential dangers around.

Speaker 9 (01:10:06):
That's right, because Hendi is always working to ensure the
road doesn't get you. Hondai vehicles have won over one
hundred and twenty IIHS Top Safety awards from two thousand
and six to twenty twenty four.

Speaker 1 (01:10:17):
As of December twenty twenty four.

Speaker 10 (01:10:20):
It is time now for junior and sports talk. What
you got Junior?

Speaker 9 (01:10:24):
Okay, well, you know over the weekend, Uncle Blockbuster, the
trade happened in the NBA.

Speaker 15 (01:10:28):
Man Luca Dodgers of the Dallas Mavericks is now a
Los Angeles Laker in exchange for Anthony Davis.

Speaker 13 (01:10:34):
Man.

Speaker 15 (01:10:34):
It is nobody saw this coming. Lebron James said he
didn't even know he was at dinner when he found
out that his teammate Anthony Davis has been traded to
the Lakers. That the Mavericks are saying they traded doctor
because they had concerns the conditioning and his diet, his
traditioning is dying yet.

Speaker 2 (01:10:53):
What you what you think ad doing here now? Because
his stomach hurt.

Speaker 1 (01:11:02):
Don't take much.

Speaker 7 (01:11:05):
But who you think got the bit of upgrade here?
Is it the Lakers or did the Mavericks?

Speaker 1 (01:11:09):
Well?

Speaker 6 (01:11:10):
The Lakers not going no well with the team they got.
Lebron is still hell of a ballplayer. He is still
at this age, man, a dominating ballplayer. This dude was
playing against the Knicks. Man, he looked every bit of
twenty eight.

Speaker 2 (01:11:25):
So it's not him. Ads a hell of a hooper.
You just can't count on anym long street clothes. Yeah
those are you talking about? Street clothes?

Speaker 11 (01:11:34):
Now?

Speaker 1 (01:11:34):
Why you call him street clothes?

Speaker 9 (01:11:36):
Because he always got his street clothes on. He always,
you always look like he going to the movies. He
always looks like going on a date.

Speaker 6 (01:11:48):
Yeah, yeah, yeah, I think all of these guys should
have took a page from Lebron. Lebron, I have never
seen him before, and I've seen everybody, man. You know,
I've been watching basketball since kareem My dude Jabal who
was Louis Cinder was playing against Wilt Chamberlain. You know,
I saw them games. Brou I've never seen Lebron James before.

(01:12:12):
I've never seen a man play at the level that
they've played at for the amount of time that he's
played at it.

Speaker 2 (01:12:19):
Lord have mercy, this guy is.

Speaker 6 (01:12:21):
Sheer greatness for the number of years he done played
long enough to wear his son in the NBA, that's
what conversation.

Speaker 2 (01:12:29):
But his son is in the n BE on the
same team with it, on the same team that's in town.

Speaker 6 (01:12:36):
Come on, man, but these other catch they don't take
care of theirself like that in the offseason. They don't
take care of themself during the season. They don't take
care of it because they keep breaking. Now, Luca fat
I asked, gonna have to come out here and eat
right now to LA and bring your chubby ass out
here to LA because we out here eating tofu and

(01:12:56):
all this hell.

Speaker 7 (01:12:58):
He's gonna have to eat vegan.

Speaker 1 (01:12:59):
He gotta be no.

Speaker 6 (01:13:07):
Franchise, take peptides and pesticides and man, you got to
come out here and start eating like a roach.

Speaker 1 (01:13:20):
Very little coming up at the top of.

Speaker 5 (01:13:24):
A man.

Speaker 1 (01:13:25):
Steve needs your advice.

Speaker 10 (01:13:26):
He needs to know if he can ignore his wife
until after the Super Bowl. We'll get into that right
after this. You're listening to the Steve Harvey Morning Show,
So Steve. This one is from Daryl and Louisville. Darryl says,
I got a suite at a hotel outside of New
Orleans for the game, and I told my two cousins

(01:13:47):
they can share the room with me. My wife got
into my email and canceled my hotel. She said it
was too expensive, and she found me an airbnb that's
farther away from the game. It's so hot with her
that I haven't slept in the bed with her for
three nights. I was able to book another suite last night,
but it was a lot more expensive. I also changed

(01:14:09):
my password to my email account. And now she's just
as angry as I am. Am I wrong for not
caring how she feels at this moment? Can I fix
things after I go to the game?

Speaker 6 (01:14:20):
That's don't be alone with your dog. But let me
explain something to your wife. Was wrong for doing that? Yeah,
you know you his wife.

Speaker 2 (01:14:27):
You ain't his mama.

Speaker 6 (01:14:29):
You can't change this man's reservation and then book him
in ABB and B because that's what you want to do.
Maybe that ain't what he want to do. Super Bowl
come along once a year. Now you ain't staying in
that expensive suite. You gonna get this and b not
way away from the game. Well, if you're watching it
on TV, it don't matter how far away it eatith,
But you ain't gonna be able to go to the

(01:14:49):
French quarter after the game.

Speaker 2 (01:14:53):
But your wife, that was real wrong of her to
do that.

Speaker 11 (01:14:57):
Now you.

Speaker 6 (01:14:59):
You your payback is I'm getting me another sweet. Now
this sweet is even more explicit than that. And I'm
changing my pedal. You ain't changing the damn thing. Now
she more mad? Yeah, Ah, that's life.

Speaker 10 (01:15:14):
Man.

Speaker 6 (01:15:15):
The two wrongs don't make it right. Can you ignore
her till after the super Bowl? I don't know how
you're gonna enjoy the super Bowl? I really don't that.

Speaker 9 (01:15:24):
No one.

Speaker 2 (01:15:25):
What's weighing on your ass at the house right after
the game?

Speaker 1 (01:15:29):
For hours?

Speaker 8 (01:15:30):
Yes?

Speaker 2 (01:15:31):
Lord, you got y'all gonna be out there early?

Speaker 12 (01:15:35):
Woo?

Speaker 2 (01:15:38):
How do you fix this.

Speaker 10 (01:15:42):
After he goes to the game.

Speaker 6 (01:15:43):
I mean, but you're gonna have to do what I said. Baby,
I'm not your child, I'm your husband. You should have
confided in me before you change my reservation.

Speaker 2 (01:15:53):
That ticked me off.

Speaker 6 (01:15:54):
And just to show you I'm grown now I get
to do what I want to do, even if you're
gonna be mad at it. But I'm stealing the door.
I would never have done that to you, and you
just gonna to take that stand. And then, in the
words of my daddy, you're gonna either get over it
or you're gonna die mad.

Speaker 2 (01:16:11):
Now, which one you want to do?

Speaker 3 (01:16:13):
All right?

Speaker 10 (01:16:14):
We have time for another one, Steve. This one's from
Asia and Teneck. Asia says, I told a guy that
I just met that he could come over, but my
apartment is a mess because I had some water damage.
We had sex, and then a few days later a
mutual friend told me that the guy said I was
a nasty chick and my place smelled musty. He insisted

(01:16:34):
on coming over and staying. So why is he talking
about me behind my back?

Speaker 2 (01:16:40):
Because, first of all, lady, you just met the guy,
you don't know him.

Speaker 6 (01:16:46):
You have him over your place when you know it
ain't ready your house stink y'all had sex in the
stinky house anyway, already did what?

Speaker 2 (01:16:56):

Speaker 6 (01:17:01):
This stuff all dissheveled and misplaced, you know what, Ladies,
In the words of Bishop Brown, who gave me the
best information I had in twenty twenty four. Be careful
of people who play the victim in circumstances that they
created themselves.

Speaker 2 (01:17:23):
What you mad at him?

Speaker 11 (01:17:24):
Folk?

Speaker 6 (01:17:24):
You slept with him and you don't know him. You said,
don't come over here in my house and mess he
coming anyway? Then y'all had sex?

Speaker 2 (01:17:33):
What's wrong with you? Where your pride and dignity at?

Speaker 11 (01:17:36):
Then?

Speaker 2 (01:17:37):
Would somebody go out here and treat you the way
you acted?

Speaker 9 (01:17:40):
Now?

Speaker 6 (01:17:40):
You mad because they talking about you? You talk material.
I don't even gonna say how you mad at him?
He treated you the way you acted. You acted messy,
You acted cheap. Now he dine told everybody you cheat.
Now we don't come back over there and spend another night.

Speaker 2 (01:17:58):
Well you do good things?

Speaker 11 (01:18:00):

Speaker 6 (01:18:00):

he take a little while. He might have a cotton
ball in his nostril with a little perfume on it.

Speaker 1 (01:21:27):

Speaker 2 (01:21:29):
Is it a steady whistle? It didn't matter.

Speaker 7 (01:21:34):
While you go over thirty.

Speaker 10 (01:21:37):
When you're over thirty miles per hour, it whistles, period.

Speaker 6 (01:21:46):

Thank you for listening.

Speaker 1 (01:25:01):
He's gonna celebrate regardless, you know.

Speaker 6 (01:25:04):
And my close remarks is pertaining to this presidency. You know,
I'm not surprised that anything he's doing, uh, because it's
par for the course. I mean, he's a continuation of
what he was. The thing of it is is this

(01:25:26):
is what the American voting mass, the more popular vote
was for him. Whyatt was for him had a lot
to do with who he was running against and the
mistakes that was made. A lot of it was because
simply because there are people who don't want a woman

(01:25:48):
in charge.

Speaker 2 (01:25:49):
A lot of it is because this country is what
they say they're not.

Speaker 6 (01:25:58):
America has a very very racist element to it. There
is no denying that. You can sit up and bet
Tim Scott and put the blinders on all you want
and say America is not a racist country. Okay, Well,
have you been listening to what the president of this

(01:26:21):
country has been saying. Did you even take the time
to understand what any of Project twenty twenty five was saying.
Do you even understand the basic core of the message.
The slogan was Maga make America great again. That alone,

(01:26:45):
right there told the whole story. And they are going
about the business of doing just like it was. Let's
get it back when it was no affirmative action, Let's
get it back when there was no DEI, Let's get
it back when there was no civil rights bill. Many
they coming for all of that. But y'all so stupid

(01:27:10):
though that you actually thought that President Trump was talking
about you. You actually believed him when he said he's
gonna bring the prices of groceries down. When rich people
don't care what the price of groceries is because it's
not gonna make them a bit of difference one way

(01:27:30):
or the other. So look at your groceries. Ain't nothing
going down, and ain't nothing coming down. And if you
notice what he just did, he put terrorists on China,
Canada and Mexico. Now these terrorifts mean that they're gonna
have to pay twenty five percent more, and Canada has
to pay ten percent more of everything that they import. Well,

(01:27:53):
guess what somebody gotta pay for that more cost, and
that's gonna be you. That's going to be us, y'all.
Don't get it y'all thinking that he cutting all these
programs out for these social programs was gonna hurt and
affect black people.

Speaker 9 (01:28:14):
Y'all got diabetes too. Black people ain't the only one
with diabetes. That thirty five dollars insulin program. They ain't
gonna just affect us, That's gonna affect everybody. Y'all didn't
get it right this time.

Speaker 6 (01:28:30):
You just didn't you thinking when he got rid of DEI,
he was talking about black people the number one beneficiary.
According to the US Department of Label, the number one
benefactor of DEI is white women. Do you know the
least benefactors of DEI programs black people? Latinos is in there,
Native Americans in their Asians.

Speaker 2 (01:28:52):
Is in there. Do you know that they veterans are
in there?

Speaker 6 (01:28:56):
They're cutting out programs for veterans they don't want a
d Do you know that people with disabilities.

Speaker 2 (01:29:01):
Are in the DEI cutbacks?

Speaker 6 (01:29:05):
You ain't know that digit nah, because they had your
stupid ass thinking he was talking about black people.

Speaker 2 (01:29:12):
They was talking about y'all too, because they trying to
make money. Let me explain some to you.

Speaker 6 (01:29:18):
See, when you do these cut out these programs to
help the Medicare cost and cost of medicine and diabetes,
you know how that helps that in help that helps
the pharmaceuticals because now they back into the big profits.
Why do you think they made all these donations to
the Trump campaign because they knew they was gonna get

(01:29:41):
it back tenfold in the money he was gonna put
back in their pockets. Every move Donald trap is making
is to put money back into the hands of rich people.
Y'all really thought he was talking about y'all. I went
out the other day. I was going to this doctor's appointment,
and I was passing by this big white pickup truck

(01:30:01):
and it was flying Trump Vance signs, and I saw
in his window, his back window. I'm a proud veteran.
I felt bad for this guy because I went, hey, mister,
proud veteran, the DEI cutbacks that he's doing, it's gonna
take benefits from you people who fought for this country.

(01:30:25):
Y'all really thought he was talking about y'all. You know,
this is the same guy that dodged the draft. You
remember that, don't you. That's the same guy that talked
about McCain because he was a prisoner and he thought
he was a bad prisoner.

Speaker 2 (01:30:40):
You know, remember that.

Speaker 6 (01:30:42):
But here's a guy who did everything say he was
flat footed so he couldn't even go to war. Now
I got you didn't want to go to war. I
don't want to go to war either, but you can't
talk about the ones who did. It's really sad what's
happening here. I did say I really feel sorry for
the common man. But now it's all come out to play. Wow,

(01:31:02):
we got exactly what he told us. We were just
going to plus. Yeah, I have a great day to day.
I will get My faith is in God out of him.
Do the same, y'all.
