(00:00):
The Gambler starts. Now, here'sAdam Kaufman. What's up? Everybody?
Welcome in. It is The Gamblerwith Adam Kaufman here on w r KO,
the final show of the week. And obviously we have ourselves a big
one. We're gonna do a lotof college basketball. In the second hour
of the program. Stucky from ActionNetwork is going to join us. First

(00:23):
appearance on the show Dan Watkins, and I gotta tell you this is one
that I have been chasing for awhile, and I fully intend to tell
him that when he comes on theshow that he has not been an easy
guy. Didn't we talk about thisto reach to get a hold of We
talked to get a number four anything? Didn't we didn't we talk about we
wait till the second appearance before weuh go with the weird. Hey,

(00:46):
I've been really wanting to talk toyou and get you on all that kind
of stuff. But yeah, Idon't know. I'm going in hard on
this right for it. All Right, He's not Will Middlebrooks already, how
so I'm going to go right intoit with Stny from Action Network, former
professional athletes, So we will justfull on be like, yeah, we
really wanted you to come on fora while. But yeah, I was
saying the same thing to Brian beforethe show that I knew you had been

(01:07):
looking forward to this one. SoI'm excited for you. Yeah, I'm
I'm hoping that one. He is, you know, remembering because I texted.
It was like I was texting withhim last week to line it up,
and so we were good. AndI reached out earlier this week just
to like, I don't know,Monday, I think it was Monday,
just to remind him, you know, kind of and and then I texted

(01:30):
yesterday and be like, hey,you know tomorrow night kind of thing.
So I didn't no text today. You don't want to come on too strong.
No text today, don't troll textdown, you can't triple text.
So hopefully he remembers and you know, we'll be good to go, but
looking forward to it. It's gonnabe fun. We'll get his picks obviously,
rights for the Action Network and abunch of videos, podcasts, all

(01:53):
of that stuff. But I actuallydon't know what his leans are on this
game. We got leans for themost part from Bear Spleaker from Fox Sports
last night, and we've already indicatedhow we feel about these games. So
it's it's just really interesting to meas we get down to the final four
of March Madness, these games, these semi final games happening on Saturday,

(02:14):
the championship opposite our show on Monday, different opinions, how everybody is feeling
about this, and so eager tohear his thoughts. Kenny Doosey is going
to come on with us in justa little bit. Also from Action,
among other spots, talked through someearly season Major League Baseball and boy Baseball.
I think I haven't looked, youknow, at where I'm at today.

(02:35):
I know there were a couple ofI stepped away to that's step stepped
off the playhof. I stepped offthe mount for today because yesterday was just
bad like and they were all closeto and I was just like, something's
just not right. And I decideinstead to focus all my efforts on Clint
Capella, and that just blew upin my face. So, yeah,
you made him a late addition tothe official Show pick roster, and I

(02:57):
mean, I don't blame you forit. Obviously, he had been delivering
for us on a pretty regular basis. Needed a double double out of him,
and unfortunately, you know, gotthe job done on the glass,
not the points what really hurt me. I mean, one I played that
so it didn't happen. It wasn'ta part of a parlay. It didn't
matter. We'll get to that ina second. But I built a separate
you know, the SGP for thatgame, and I included him somewhat reluctantly,

(03:22):
but I was like, you know, you were on him, Joe
de Lera and I think some otherpeople were on prop that guy were on
him. And I said, allright, I mean, I'll I'll just
bring it down a little bit.Eight points, eight rebounds, let's just
include a couple of lower benchmarks andof course you know, thirteen boards whatever
it was, but only six points. Thanks thanks Clint Copeller for torpedoing my

(03:43):
parlay. That was a that wasunfortunate. But yep, live and learn
the the the people's parlay. Wedon't know. Let's see just for the
latest, the up to date information. So your leg well, we'll get
to your leg a second. TimKalanowski, also from Action but boy,
we're just a hub for Action Networkpeople, was on with us last night

(04:06):
and he went with a heavily juicedColorado Avalanche money line play. Didn't want
to do the sixty minute regulation line, which is fine, you know,
didn't want to get burned by Coloradowinning an extra time. Didn't want to
do the puck line, which youknow, as of right now, that's
a good thing. He went withColorado minus one sixty. You know,
bet the one sixty to win aunit. That's how we do things around

(04:28):
here. And they are up theAvalanche in Minnesota three to two right now
early in the third period. Ifthat cash is one, it's good.
We'd like the straight, but doesn'tmatter for the parlay. You got your
job done, just you know, skin of our teeth. Indiana State and
Seaton Hall the under in that game, we had one fifty nine and a
half and it clocked in at onefifty six. Yeah, was where totaled.

(04:50):
So it was it was sweaty, what was annoying? Where we should
still be live right now? AndI'm so frustrated personally because I had a
head your investment beyond just the showplay, even before I gave this out
as a show play, and thenobviously on top of it with the parlay
and all of that was I hadthe Sycamores, is Su and and Robbie

(05:11):
Avilat to cover to win by twoand a half or three depending on where
you placed it, and they weredown by double figures multiple times in this
game. Happened the first half stormback out of the shooting, second half
fell behind, storm back, andthen we're up by seven Dan with what
like ninety seconds left in this game, and it was looking like, and

(05:33):
you texted, it was looking likeyou were going to be the jerk that
Indiana State was going to cover andyou know, free throws are something we're
gonna get us just over, Yeah, push us just over and didn't didn't
swing that way. Instead, justIsu died on the vine and Seaton Hall
did enough to win the n Championship. Late, is Su had an opportunity

(05:55):
to force ot, which selfishly Iwas rooting for because again bigger investment in
the cover and didn't pan out.So looking like if Colorado at least hangs
on, I will be the jerkand we'll get the two out of three
and no parlay. As far asbank row repairs go, we won't have
a resolution on this while we arestill on the air. All I can

(06:15):
tell you is that they're still live. For Dan, the New York Islanders
doubled up the Blue Jackets, justneeded them on the money line. And
we need the Kings to win inLA against the Sharks heavily favored. That
game doesn't begin for another twenty minutesor so. And for me, Dallas
Mavericks, who were heavy favorites againstAtlanta that Clint Capella game, they took
care of business with a win.And the other leg the Denver Nuggets.

(06:40):
We need to win in LA againstthe Clippers. That game only just tipped
off a minute or so ago.So again, bank roll repairs hopefully will
sweep. We'll see, but wewon't know for another two and a half
three hours whatever it is. Buthopefully, if at least if everything goes
as it is right now anyway, then we would have ourselves a profitable night,

(07:03):
just barely, you know, lessthan a unit, but right green
as green as we always say, that's for sure. And then you know,
I wish one of us played theBruins tonight. I mean pretty much
Bruins plus money in the regular season. You got to seriously look at it.
And then Brad Marshan scoring a goalto tonight is his four hundredth of
his career, just a fifth playerin Bruins franchise history to accomplish that and

(07:24):
reach that milestone. But also Ididn't realize in. Brian filled me in
on this too. Today was Nationalrat Day. I saw that the four
sworre the goal. Oh before didyou bet it? Did you? No?
No, I didn't see it untilafter he scored. Okay, So
that was that was that was sad? Yeah? Classic, Yeah, I
mean it was all it was fittingstorybook if you will. But that's the

(07:46):
stuff you read about exactly. Butno, that was a big win for
the Bruins tonight. They looked reallygood against the team in a in an
arena that has given them fits recently. So it was a good win tonight.
Listen, stack up the wins, build the points, all of that
work on your seating. I mean, I guess you know, in terms
of seeing right now, the questionis like, well, they have the
most points in the NHL, youknow, like the Bruins who've clinched the

(08:07):
or the Celtics who have clinched theNBA's best record. But they could clinch
the root against that, Yeah, well they could just about clinch the division.
Saturday, they played Florida up hereat the Garden. But right now
it's lining up that they would haveTampa in the first round, and I
don't like that whatsoever. Sure,no, fully understand that. I'm so
did you watch this Indiana State game? I watched the I'm just I'm so

(08:31):
pissed. I've just I got tothe point where one of us was going
to lose, and then there wasthere was like a real shot that both
of us were gonna lose. Sure, yeah, absolutely, and it was
Yeah, it was a really frustratinggame. But yeah, no, maybe
it made me feel good about thechampionship under narrative, that's the only thing.
Just yeah, across the line. It's a good point. Yeah,

(08:54):
it's interesting. We've in front ofus obviously, I mean, like we
alluded to, and we'll talk extensivelyabout out much as we did last night.
We'll do it during the second houras mentioned with Stucky, we will
talk about those final four games.Yukon who of course big fans on the
Show of Yukon with our plus fourhundred three unit, they are there.
They landed on the Huskies. Yeah, they finally made it. They didn't.
I was following on Twitter. I'mup late, and Dan Hurley was

(09:16):
like live tweeting, Yeah, it'sa stile on the ground. Hit like
one thirty in the morning Eastern,so that I think they arrived was a
quarter to four local time, Localtime, so yeah, quarter is seven
here, right. I hope thoseguys slept, you know, it leads
a little bit. Yeah, theyslept in a little later and then but
did eventually get to the arena.I was reading all this stuff today.

(09:39):
Hurley's you know, he's wired. He's like, that's why God created caffeine.
We're ready to go. He saidsomething really psychotic, like watching the
window on the plane defrost was wastherapeutic to him. So like he's definitely
in full nutsjob mode, and II can't wait for that one. I'm
like, I know you said lastnight you laid the full eleven and a
half, and I did. I'mabout ready to well. And I got

(10:00):
some thoughts on the other game too, that we can get into later.
But I'm starting to really feel andlean towards the side in that one too.
Yeah, We've got those games obviously, and well we will talk plenty.
I mean pretty much the whole secondhour is going to be devoted to
those final four games. Of course, you know, Yukon, Alabama,
per U, n C State, and those games are Saturday evening and tomorrow.
Not that we're going to talk aboutthis a lot, but we've got

(10:22):
Iowa, Yukon, South Carolina,n C State, so a couple of
those same teams in the women's finalfour. So you know, I and
I still like two yeah schools.Right, Yeah. You got both Yukon
and n C State represented by bothboth genders in the final four, which
is fun. I am genuinely lookingforward to it. I don't know anything

(10:43):
about NC State and South Carolina.I am genuinely looking forward to Iowa and
Yukon though. I mean, one, we know the pedigree of the Huskies
and what they have been for literallydecades at this point. But Iowa and
just the Caitlin Clark stories we talked, you know a little bit about last
night. That's I mean, thatis going to be a fun game.
I envision it's going to be close. I think she will go off and

(11:05):
we'll just see, you know whereit stands when everything settles, Yeah,
for sure. And then the othergame too, South Carolina is like thirty
six and oh so they've been atotal wagon this year, like what Yukon's
been in the men's for that andsimilarly favored by eleven and a half.
Yeah, exactly. And then theNC State's kind of I think, been
a little bit not quite the Cinderellarun that the men have had, but

(11:26):
they're definitely a little bit I thinkof a surprise to be this far.
But Yukon the women, I lookedit up. They haven't won since twenty
sixteen. It feels like a lifetimeago, doesn't it. For Gino.
I mean it was like every year, I mean they won like it was
like what ten of eleven or somethinglike that. They were just rattling them
off forever. Yeah, I meanfor them, like you said, twenty

(11:46):
sixteen feels like a line. It'salmost a decade, a long long time
ago for an absolute powerhouse. Whois it again? I'm not a big
women's college basketball consumer. Who hasit been in recent years? Last year,
you know, they knocked off CaitlinPark. I think South Carolina won
a couple of years ago. Ithink the Stanford women might have won DA

(12:07):
one in twenty one. Bad Butthere's no like dynasty team like Yukon or
Tennessee or you know, teams likethat were for so long. No,
I think Yukon has just been likegetting to the final four, Brian,
do you have it up and fin? I just pull it up. So
Yukon one. From twenty thirteen totwenty sixteen, they went four straight,
and then South Carolina has won twosince then, seventeen and twenty two,
and then it's been a bunch ofteams Noornay and Baylor, Stanford, LSU.

(12:30):
Well, nice of the the Huskiesto you know, take a step
back, let other people into theparty for a little while, let them
have their fun. All right. So here's what we're gonna do. College
basketball heavy almost entirely in our numbertwo. But before that, of course,
bank roll repairs. At the endof this hour, we'll keep you
posted on how things are tracking tonight. The Avalanche did just go up four

(12:52):
to two with about thirteen minutes togo in the third period, so we'll
keep an eye on that one.Hopefully cash that straight and baseball talk it
was. It was a light day. Like Dan said, he wisely stepped
away from the table. Wish Ihad been so smart because I feel like
just about everything I bet on theDiamond went sideways. Definitely my bigger bets.
I was on the Mets money line, the Twins money line at some

(13:13):
point, right, I mean theMets. They were up three to one.
I'm going to get into this withKenny Doucy a little bit, and
just what No Yankees. No,he's he's very much a Yankees guy,
obnoxiously a Yankees fan as a matterof fact. But so hopefully he's enjoying
out. Apparently Verdugo is, youknow, earning some fans there. He's

(13:33):
he's has he done that yet?All I know is when I when I
turn on like the Ness and broadcast, like middle Brooks and TC. Last
night, they're showing Verdugo Homer highlightsand just joke after joke about I showed
up on time for the day game, right, good, good raves on
time for that pitch. I meana little little played out, but uh,

(13:54):
you know, you roast the oneswhen I'd say that you love.
But I don't think anyone ever lovedAlex Radugo. But he's gone now and
he's the enemy and clean shaven, and we don't even recognize the guy but
he's still still probably got all thosebig chains. When we come back,
Kenny Doocy from the Action Network isgoing to join us talk through some Major
League baseball. We will even didn'teven mention this multiple people's parlays. We

(14:15):
will do a parlay this hour,a parlay with Stucky next hour. So
stay with us. Lots of pickscome in your way. Welcome back.
This is the Gambler with Adam Kaufman. We are keeping an eye on all
the show bets. Denver out toa good startup by a dozen in LA
against the Clippers with Kawhi Leonard sidelines. So that's Murray either Russ, Yeah,

(14:39):
No, Jamal Murray got ruled out. He wasn't. He was questionable
throughout the day, eventually got ruledout. He wasn't really expected to play.
Jokic was probable, Gordon was probable. So felt pretty good about the
play overall. Even actually played Denverminus three and a half, which you
know, I if this were theNBA twenty years ago, I'd be taking
for granted what's going on right nownow. But it's the NBA in twenty

(15:01):
twenty four, and I know thislead could be gone in about three minutes,
so yeah, we'll see, we'llsee how obviously everything you know,
winds up trending over the next hourand a half that we're on here with
you anyway, but we are goingto mix in some baseball and as mentioned,
a people's parlay. We're going todo that in the next segment with
Kenny Doucy. It's been a whilesince we've had Kenny on the show.

(15:22):
Definitely been a while since we havedone a people's parlay with Kenny, So
that'll be a good time as well. Have to get some thoughts on great
spoor. Yeah, there are, yeah, and already having a sense of
where you're going. It's you know, but baseball season has arrived, so
looking forward to breaking all of thatdown. But Kenny Doocy joins us our

(15:43):
buddy from the Action Network, amongother places he covers as well. Of
course, does a lot with theTennis Channel. He is someone who's come
on talking wimbled in among other tennisevents with us in the past. You
can get him on Twitter at KennyDeocy Doocy. How are you, buddy,
I'm great, I'm great. Youknow, it's what a fitting place

(16:03):
to talk baseball. They're walking throughsome forty degree air here in New York
City. It's I would say,it's a beautiful knife that I'd be lying.
But the same weather that the Metsand Tigers played an underly bizarre double
letter and in sending zero fans, which I was one of. So that
was that was a lot of Iwouldn't say it was a lot of fun,
but it was a big game. You go to both one. It
was good to do that one anda half, we'll call it one and

(16:26):
a half. I got to seethe Mets collapse at the end of game
one, and then there's triumphs thereat the game two. Yeah, the
Mets collapse. I guess sort ofa story of two games for me as
well, because I was on theMets money line in the first game and
obviously that went south and they losean extras. But then that second game,

(16:47):
I had, I will a fewa few different guys a day play
a you know, a home run, and I actually had a Pete Alonzo
plus three fifty plus three sixty somethinglike that, and so nice of him
to, you know, help helpthe the comeback there and eventual win for
the Mets in the bottom of theninth yeah, me and you both rather

(17:08):
we have the same best there, and I was hopeful that that was going
to happen up. It's been reallygood this year. But I did turn
to my buddy and I said,he's just got to lead off with the
whole nunt here. The energy forthe mess honestly really turned around when I
couldn't even tell because I was atthe game, but it seemed as if
uh, someone that I had actuallynever even heard of before for the New

(17:30):
York Mess and not as if myfriend who's a diehard fan, uh just
wound up I think hurting himself oroverthrowing the catcher, and they called a
warning if I'm not mistaken, andthen that really seemed to fire muff.
He struck out the next battery faceand then all of a sudden, the
Mets had energy, and I thinkthey were just lacking that energy all game
long. Kenny, your beloved NewYork Yankees are just a game in front

(17:55):
of our Red Sox. The youknow, kind kind of surprising for both,
quite frank in that you know,a lot of people going into the
year it's you know, the Orioleswill win the division or you know,
obviously I mean really like the Rays, the Jays, they would have been
mentioned before the Red Sox, that'sfor sure. But Boston five and two
out west right now, and yourYankees tied for first in baseball at six
and one, So things are goingwell. And even better, I would

(18:19):
think, is the fact that it'sall at home. You know, the
Yankees haven't even been to the Bronxyet and they're having all this success so
far, So good on them.Obviously, the run differential plus seven is
off to a decent start as well, and Alex Radugo is putting the bat
on the ball and doing a goodjob. Is is this? I don't
know what your feeling was about theYankees coming into the year, but you

(18:42):
know, have you sort of reassessedat all in terms of their championship future
odds or odds to win the divisionor anything along those lines. Well,
to be honest, off, Iwas really excited to talk about the Red
Sox. I thought that's the rectionwho were going to go in this Faily
segment. No, I mean theYankees coming into the year, I didn't

(19:02):
put a bet on them to winthe World Series. I did feel a
lot better with them having won Sotoin the lineup, but also just getting
a healthy Anthony Rizzo back. Ithought that was a really big loss for
them last year when he had thatpseudo concussion or the injury with the tastise
collision at first base and they couldn'treally figure out what's wrong with them for
a couple of months that he couldn'thit, but you know, that was
a big bat in their lineup asthey were missing, and then you get

(19:25):
Glibor Tolis. Hopefully, if youcan do another full season of what he
did last year, two seventy hittersdid the thirty home runs. I think
to add that with alf Sradugo, you mentioned he was met hit the ball
well this year, but did hitthat big home run, ended up not
mattering quite as much, and wethought it was going to be the game
winning home run yesterday against Arizona. But I really like his bat quite as

(19:47):
well. I think that you knowhe was he's going a great contact hitter
dating back to his days with theBadgers, and the power hasn't necessarily excited
people, but you know, youhave to adjust for Yankee Stadium. He'll
probably hit more home runs at home. With the short fortune you know,
I think this is a team thathas a ton of potential this year,
especially considering they have so many pitcherson the injured list, not to mention

(20:10):
Derek Cole, but even just inthe bullpen, you've got the guys,
guys like Scott Across, Tommy Kinley, Luke Trevino who are just haven't been
with the team, the first twoguys or the Sandwich two guys I mentioned
around Cayley, I haven't even beenwith the team for pretty much the last
year. Then you mixed in obviouslyTommy Canley, who could be back sooner
than those two guys. You know, they're they're cycling through some interesting arms.

(20:33):
They're trying to find guys that canwork for them. Vick Berdy you
one of them. Sort of alot of projects. But we've seen the
Yankees have tons of success with thosetypes of guys over the years, So
I feel pretty good about this teamso far. I also would caution the
audience and say I'm a big timeYankee chater. Actually for a Yankee fan,
I have not liked the team theyhave put on the field over the

(20:55):
last few years, but I dofeel decently good about this one, and
I think they've made so much neededSo yeah, I mean, we'll chas
and the Boston Red Sox. Thoseguys know what they're doing in terms of
developing pitching, and they kind offeel very similar to the Yankees in the
sense that they can seemingly put upan unlimited number of pitchers on a yearly
basis that are effective, and itjust feels like they're really searching for that

(21:18):
one bat that they can develop thatcan help them and then eventually re sign
with the team. It just feelslike they're kind of similar team boast they
calf well, go, there isthis Red Sox team, one that you
actually believe in as a playoff teambecause he can tell you almost nobody around
Boston does playoffs. Is a littlebit of a stretch for me, you
know. The problem for me,and I think the problem a lot of

(21:41):
people had with the team going intothe season in Boston was the fact that
who's going to hit on this team? I mean, you want to talk
about a guy that had a tonof you know, clubs last year,
Masatake Yoshida. This guy's going toturn thirty two this year. He had
jall surgery over the offseason, whicheveryone was like, oh, well,
you know, maybe in the secondhalf of the season he wasn't hitting well

(22:02):
because of the jaw, or maybeit was a fluke, you know,
And I'm sitting here like, Idon't think so. I think it's because
he's thirty two and he had ahot start in the league and then maybe
major league pitching caught up to him, or maybe he found it a lot
harder to hit major league pitching.I mean, it's a big adjustment.
You look at a lot of guyswho come home from Japan. Obviously there's
one guy that really really took theleague by storm, and we all know

(22:25):
him, but you know, itis a really hard transition, and I
think he's sort of set a littlebit of a high bar for a lot
of the other fellow countrymen show heyo Tani. So you know, I
think that is a very integral party. The Bustin lineup that I don't know
is going to necessarily produce the sameresults he did a year ago. And
I mentioned it, like, youknow, they didn't have a first baseman

(22:47):
going into new or at least abackup first baseman. They were trying out
DJ Cron, Bobby doll Beck, doesn't have a hit this year. You
know, obviously everyone likes Tristan Cassas, but outside of him, it's I
mean, that's why I'm saying itkind of mirrors the Yankees. I just
feel like they are really trying todevelop a young bat that can just be
a mainstay in that lineup for tenyears. And it's just really tough.

(23:10):
But the reason I like them isjust the pitching staff is unbelievable. I
really think so. I mean, you look at every single picture that they
brought in as a project, whetherit be Savetta or you know, the
guys they've worked with. You know, starting off in the bullpen went Los
pan Or House and Cutter Crawford, who I think is one of the most
underrated pitchers in baseball right now. They can shack an incredible number of solid

(23:32):
pitchers, especially if they do getto the playoffs, and only the lotation.
So that's why I like them. And I will also say for the
run Fox fans out there from aYankee fan, that you look at the
Arizona Diamondbacks a season ago. Thatis not a team that hit the ball
all year. They were below averageoffensively, they had a solid bullpen,
they had some good frontline starters andthey just caught fire in the playoffs with

(23:55):
some home runs and that was it. Like they waltn't a good off on
some teams all year outside of CormanCarroll. So there is hope. I
think Sars and the Thembacks have shownus that you can just kind of get
a little bit lucky. You canjump on the best team in baseball early
in two games and take a twonothing lead and then boom, I mean,
and then basically the hardest part ofyour playoff run is over until you

(24:17):
run into Texas. So I thinkthere's a little bit of hope there,
and I am actually very surprised atwhat I've seen so far from Boston.
Yeah, certainly a direction that thesport is heading, Kenny, when we
have had wild card teams reach theWorld Series each of the last two years.
But let's start to look at Friday'sslate from a bettings perspective here as
lines and some props are starting totrickle out here, and there's some spots

(24:37):
that I am just circling tomorrow, the first of which is this Ray's Rockies
game at Corsfield in Austin. Gomberis on the mound for Colorado e l
last year at home at Corsfield wellover seven. I think there are some
great spots for these Tampa hitters tomorrow, starting with Harold Ramirez, who just
absolutely crushed lefties a year ago.I like pretty much every single one of

(24:59):
his props here. What do youmake of this matchup between Tampa and Colorado?
Yeah, I mean it's always agood idea to a fader rocky pitcher,
and I don't understand why they can'tfind one guy to strike out batters
because they play at altitude, soyou would think that, you know,
filling your rotation with fly ball pitcherswould not be a good idea. But
we've seen with teams like the SeattleMariners offensively, who play in one of

(25:22):
the worst home run parks and decideto fill their lineups with guys that strike
out and hit a lot of flyballs, that sometimes these teams are just
not quite as smart as you wantthem to be, and they don't tailor
themselves to their parks. Yeah.I mean that was a roundabout way of
saying I don't like Austin Donder.I do like Zach Eflin quite a bit.
I think he's one of the moreslept on pitchers in baseball, So

(25:45):
I would maybe look to just straightup total rais on the run line here,
maybe the first five. And again, this is really bleak for the
Colorado Rockies when you look at theway Chris Bryant city picked up two hits
and essentially garbage time. I don'tknow if that really exists in baseball,
but he's looked absolutely lost at theplate. And other than you know,
Azefield, Covar here and there, and Charlie Blackman actually having a good start

(26:08):
to the season, there's really nothingto like about this team. All the
guys that are supposed to be carryingthem, like Nolan Jones, Chris Bryant,
they are just absolutely struggling. HaroldRamirez is a fine play. I
also like amendass Ario tomorrow. Maybehe's playing to get two plus total bases.
They've been starting in a lot againstleftist because they need outfield help,
and he's been hitting the ball reallyhard, despite the fact that I've believe

(26:29):
he's hitless in his last three games. I don't mind that spot at all.
I think if you're looking at amatchup with Austin Gomber at coour.
You're not gonna find a lot ofvalue with these Campa hitters. You're gonna
have to drink a little bit ofjuice to take them to get a hit
or even two total bases. Ithink Lavario potentially hitting like seven six or
seven, maybe eight in the lineup, and he also have a situation where

(26:51):
he's in a platoon split, somaybe the line is going to reflect that
they take him out. I don'tthink that they would at all, because
he's hit right, he's just fine. They've started him, they're ready for
far this year. That'll be reallythe guy I'm targeting. I'm much more
high on a Metrosario than most people, but I do feel as though against
the left feat at altitude, that'sthe spot where I would play him,
and I think he's probably going tobe the most valuable Canta hitter to go

(27:14):
after. There are a few thingsDan likes more than hating Austin Gomber.
If you think back to last year, there's like four guys tomorrow that I
just I love to pick on,and we'll get to more of them as
we go. I guarantee you there'sone guy I hate more than you hate
Offtin Bomber was pitching tomorrow that youlike and that. But that's also what
I would say about baseball betting ingeneral is everyone knows that Austin Bombers sucks.

(27:37):
I mean, I'm not trying tooffend any present company, but I
do feel like you can make alot of money if you find the market
of inefficiency. Then you have tofind those guys that like Kyle Hendrix tomorrow
that hey, maybe the market doesn'tlike them, but there might be reasons
to like them in certain spots,if you know what I mean. Kenny
do Sye is here with us fromthe Action Network. When we come back,

(27:59):
we will continue our look ahead totomorrow's baseball slate and also give you
a People's parlay for Friday. Sostick around. Kenny Doosey is with us
from Action at work. We're talkingabout the Friday Major League Baseball slate.
A couple of minutes, we'll startgiving you the People's Parlay first of two
on the show for the weekend, the picks will give you a four,

(28:22):
or give you today or for tomorrowin the case of this first hour.
Second hour, when Stuckey joins usalso from Action, we will be more
focused on the final four and giveyou plays there. But you know we
were talking about, you know, just starting the process, Kenny, of
diving into obviously tomorrow's slate. Whydon't we go all the way to the
end the Red Sox at the Angelsto begin that series after the off day.

(28:44):
Today you have Cutter Crawford on themound, Griffin Canning on the other
side. Canning obviously had a roughseason debut. Boston, as we know,
has been rolling. Anaheim is Imean, LA has been off to
a good start, but we knowit's not a good team. Of course,
many people would say the same thingabout the Red Sox. So what
are your expectations here for this onewith Boston being the ever so slight favorite.

(29:07):
Yeah, I mean what I justsaid about Cutter Crawford I think holds
true here. And I think thebiggest thing I want to highlight is Cutter
Crossord's ability to get guys out geathe strikeout. We saw him working on
it in the spring. He's hada great start to twenty twenty four in
that department. Of course, hedid get to face the Oakland Athletics if
memory serves, But this is anAngels team that's striking out more than just

(29:27):
about anybody in baseball right now. It's their biggest issue. And I look,
the big issue for me with theLos Angeles Angels is the fact that
Aron Washington, for all the goodthat he's gone in his career, whether
it's be actually managing the Texas Rangersbefore he was he's a part of that
role, and then as an enfieldcoach with several big teams, I think

(29:49):
that this is a guy that justis not really capable of putting together a
good lineup right now. When youlook at what they've been doing with Louis
trend Hepho driving fantasy older is crazy. But also the fact that he's probably
a much better hitter. We notprobably, we know he's a much better
here than Anthony Rendones. He's abetter fielder than Anthony Rendone and Brandon Drewry.

(30:10):
This guy can't find the field atall right now. So for whatever
reason, and yes, they aretrying out Miguel snow at h I don't
hate it. I think that hehad a good spring. He's lost a
lot of weight. You want tosee what's there with him. But to
me, like Miss land Up,is just turning over in many different ways
every day. Mickey Moniac's now andthen now Joe Adell's hitting and can't find

(30:32):
a spot. So yeah, Ithink with a good picture on the hill,
a guy that we just talked about, Toddle Crawford that I really like,
I think this is a spot toplay the red Fox. And again
I would just highlight the strikeout issuesthat we've seen on the Angels side the
ball, and that's going to bethe big strength of Crawford tomorrow. So
Christan Canning not a good picture andI'm willing to faight him here at a

(30:52):
very very nice break. Kenny, how often do you like to play pictures
when they face a team for asecond time here in a week or do
you like to fade them? What'syour st do you have a strategy in
that kind of situation? Because I'mlooking at Jordan Hicks of the Giants tomorrow
as they take on the Padres. This game's in San Francisco. Last time
out, he pitched really well, struck out six over five innings as they're
trying to, you know, transformhim into a starting pitcher this year.

(31:17):
But you get four and a halfstrikeouts, the overs at plus one thirty
here tomorrow. Yeah, I meanthe only issue there, as you know,
as you noted, they're trying himout as the starting pitcher, and
we're just really not sure how they'regoing to stretch. I mean, he
looked amazing, and I believe heonly threw seventy pitches in his last part
and he won five. It waseighty one. Yeah, so it was.

(31:37):
That's correct. I was asking aGiants fan friend of mine if they
just captive at eighty I'm not surewhat they're going to do, and that's
my only fear with the strikeouts.I do know that the San Diego Padres
loved the strikeout. I love fadingthe San Diego Padres. I think they're
very overrated and that I mean again, if you want to play the Giants
here in offense, that there mightbe a little life too. Like I

(31:57):
definitely don't hate that side. Butwhen you're talking about a picture facing a
team for a second time, butgenerally speaking, I have noticed that it
generally tends to tend towards a trendtowards the offense doing a little bit better.
So that's my only fear there.But again I don't I mean,
I didn't like this Padres lineup cominginto last year when they were projected to
win like I don't know what wasit, ninety two games or something.

(32:20):
Now there's you know, there's alot more realistic outlook on them. But
still, like Jake Croniworth is JakeCroninworth. I think we can all say
that Japan series just didn't count. And I mean Hustan Kim, you know,
all power to him, he's agreat hitter, and Tatis is obviously
all world, but like outside ofthose two, where are you getting your
production from through the San Diego Padres. I mean, Nanny Machado has had
some good games here as well.I can't obviously discount him, but like

(32:45):
it's not a complete lineup. Andwhen you're talking about a guy like Jordan
X looked so good his first timeout, so much talent, and the
Padres struggled against the fastball last year, I would definitely lean towards the Giants
in that one. But four anda half strikeouts seems like a lot for
Jordan Nix considering I just don't know. I don't think any of us can
say for sure how many innings he'sgoing to pitch. That's always scary when

(33:05):
you're playing a strike out from Let'sget into the People's Parlay again. First
of two on this show. Thenext one comes next hour. Right now,
we're focused on Friday plays and whateverjumps out at is an absolute favorite
play. Kenny's done this with usbefore, but the way it works,
he'll give us his favorite play theday. Dan will do the same,
and so will I. We alwaystell you play the Straights Colorado Avalanche just
one. So we got two outof three on the streets today, didn't

(33:29):
get the parlay. Sorry Indiana State. They failed us, but it really
choked in the clutch. But let'ssee what we've got here for Friday.
So, Kenny, your favorite playfor tomorrow. What do you got?
Well? Planet Straight might be alittle tough because their priced I think around
minus one sixty right now. Butlo and behold, I am going to

(33:50):
recommend the New York Yankees here inour People's Parlay, just because when you
look at the match up here forYsay Kokuchi, a pitcher that I've just
absolutely loved fading over the years. He's got terrible peripherals and that's sort of
a word I hate using and hearingbecause people don't really understand what peripherals truly
mean. Toy just kind of sayit as a blanket term to say,
Oh, I looked at faceball savantand this guy's expected era is terrible.

(34:14):
But when you look at the barrelrate, look at the fact that he's
just not a ground ball pitcher. He's he's let up an above average amount
of fly balls and line drives inhis career. That is just not going
to play well in Yankee Stadium. You're going to give up a lot of
home runs and in Yankee Stadium. In his career, Kakuchi's actually had a
lot of success, but he's alsobeen a much better pitcher in the past

(34:34):
and last season. You know, again, you look at the barrel rates
here at well over ten percent overhis last four full seasons. He's not
striking a lot of guys out now, he didn't in his last outing,
and his strikeout rate has been onthe decline since twenty twenty two. That's
the biggest concern for me. Imean, on top of the fact that
he's also walked in in the abovewalked hitters in an above average clip.
The Yankees this year for all thecriticisms I've given them over the years,

(34:58):
and striking out too much, donea really good job not striking out.
Maybe the key is just sitting genCarlo Stanton for two games. I don't
know what it is, but uh, they hit left these really well last
year. They're limiting the strikeouts, which is big. And again, if
you're gonna limit the strikeouts and putthe ball in play more against Kakuchi,
if you look at the quote unquoteperipherals, the expected numbers are not good,

(35:19):
the expected batting average, the expectedslug and again last year, you
know, people have to learn whatexpected are really means. It's just expected
woe bud. What does wOBA mean? Well, waited on base average,
So yeah, you're gonna get alot of slugging in there, but also
a lot of walk. Kakuchi wasactually really good in the walk department last
year, but over his career hasnot been and again to start this season

(35:39):
and his first start did end upwalking three hitters in four and a third
innings. So if you're gonna bewalking guys like that in the Toronto Blue
Jays, they're very similarly profiled inthe New York Yankees and you're gonna you're
gonna give up a lot of ballsin play. Uh Kakuchi already a lot
of home run in the first start. Think he's gonna allow a couple here
in a smaller stadium against the Yankeesteam that probably would have more home runs

(36:00):
right now if it weren't for thespacious ballpark they just played in in Arizona.
A lot of near home runs thatwould be home runs in the Yankee
stadium. So I expect them tohit the tar at the baseball and on
the flip side. I don't know, if you know, if the Toronto
Blue Jays are quite the offense wethought they were once, and yes,
they've you know, they've managed tohave some success against the Yankees in the

(36:22):
past, especially at the stadium. But again, Marcus Stroman keeps the ball
on the ground, and I justthink that is paramount pitching in Yankee Stadium.
I think he's going to have areally solid Yankees tenure just because he
gets ground balls and the Yankees infield defense is good. So I think
with that we see Stroman in arevenge spot here limit the damage on the

(36:42):
Toronto side. And I just againhate Pakuci. I think the Yankees raked
against them tomorrow, so I thinkthat's a pretty solid piece of the parlay
there at minus one sixty Yankees minusone fifty over on ESPN, Dan,
what do you have? All right? We're going Kyle Schwarmer over one and
a half hits runs in RBI's combinedhere to minus one twenty on DraftKings and
bet MGM. Schwarber has done thisin five straight games heading into tomorrow.

(37:07):
He's taken on Patrick Corbyn, someonethat I love to fade. He's got
great career numbers against Corbyn, takinghim d twice in fifteen at bats as
well, and he's also a careertwo eighty eight hitter at the Nationals Park.
So I think this is a goodspot for him tomorrow with good weather
to fifty five and Sonny So Schwarberover one and a half hits runs RBIs.
I feel like I've talked to him. Do you go ahead, Kenny?

(37:29):
I was gonna say, And youknow, Patrick Corbyn's going to pitch
like seven innings because that's what he'sout there to do. So the bats
matchup's going to matter all up forme. I feel like I've mentioned this
enough during the week that I'd bea hypocrite to not take it now,
and that is Iowa minus two anda half against Yukon. The Caitlin Clark
story continues tomorrow night. I'm allabout the narrative. So those are the

(37:51):
three straits you put him together, and Brian tells me both DraftKings and MGM
has this at the same number. It is plus four to sixty three.
Play the parlay and let's hopefully alltry and make some money tomorrow. Kenny
Doocy from Action Network get him onTwitter at Kenny Doocy. Kenny, thanks
so much, Bud. Always apleasure. Oh it's great joining you guys
anytime. I love talking ball. We'll do it again. A lot of

(38:15):
baseball ahead of us this summer. When we come back. Bank roll repairs
for Friday, It's time for yourbankroll repair. Powered by today's collision.
It is bank roll repair time again. We're hoping for two and oh tonight.
And speaking of two oh, theKings have gone up two to oh
in San Jose and so that isa good start obviously for Dan's end of

(38:37):
things. Try and close things outon his end, but we won't know
for a while. Like I said, when the show's over, we'll have
the final results. And the Nuggets, I mentioned it earlier. They were
up by a billion and now they'redown by a few in LA to the
Clippers. But a long way togo in that game as well. So
we'll keep you posted as things movealong. Bank Roll repairs for Friday or
the weekend, because I'm not exactlysure what everybody is doing, but on

(38:58):
Thursdays, Brian board Op joins in, So, Brian, you start us
off. What do you have? All right? I am breaking a short
rule, but I made this pickbefore I knew Adam was going with Iowa.
We're moving Iowa. They're spread toplus six for tomorrow night against Yukon,
and we're matching that with the Vegasgold Knights to win on the money
line against the Coyotes, and thatis minus one oh six on draftings.

(39:19):
Nice. Well, hopefully we're bothright, Dan, all right to baseball,
we're going Tigers Braves both on themoney line, and then we're gonna
throw in the South Carolina Women onthe money line as well. Put those
three together plus one twenty on Caesar'sBaseball. You lunatic, I know,
all right, I'm gonna do apair of games in the NBA which are
equally unpredictable this time of year.Celtics just on the money line. They

(39:43):
were eight and a half point favoritesat home against the Kings, but just
on the money line. Another onethat could be a little sweaty, that
is the Suns in the nightcap, three point favorites at home against the Timberwolves.
God willing, everybody will play.I like Phoenix, just put them
on the money line there. Soagain Phoenix and Boston together, I see
plus one seventeen on DraftKings. Sothose are your three bankroll repairs. We're

(40:04):
short on time here in this hour, but we got some time in the
top of the next hour. Wecan break these down again, give you
a little more explanation, So staywith us. Our number two after this.
That was your bankroll repair powered byToday's Collision with locations involved in Chelsea,
Stoneham and Dan Very's check them outat Today's Collision dot com. The
Gambler starts. Now here's Adam Kaufman. It is our number two of the

(40:30):
Gambler with Adam Kaufman and I feellike we need to kind of collectively Dan
take a breath, because this isvery much feeling like a football Sunday show,
where it is about loads of picks, or in the first hour,
more picks, in the second hour, the bankroll repairs. When all is
said and done, by the timethis show is over, we will have
given out eleven picks for the nextcouple of days because we will have the

(40:53):
six straights, two people's parlays, three bank roll repairs. So if you
are just joining us, if you'retuned in a little late live, or
obviously I don't know, if you'reskipping around on the podcast, whatever it
may be, and you miss something, just a little refresher, well,
a little reset, and then we'llhave Stucky from Action Network come on with
us and we'll really get into notonly his plays, but we'll have some

(41:17):
time at the end of this segmentour plays. What we're thinking obviously for
these final four games that are comingup. If you don't already have a
sense of how we're feeling after whatwe've told you earlier this week. But
first People's Parlay, this one isfor Friday. Kenny Doucie from Action was
just with us. He's got theYankees. Yeah, we're betting on the

(41:37):
Yankees to win here on this show. There's no bias. We're doing it.
It's his pick, We're doing it. I'm gonna put money on it.
Yankees at home against the Blue Jays. So that is one of the
straits. Dan Straight, Kyle Schwarber, the Kyle from Waltham there over one
and a half hits runs RBIs overon bet MGM. That is minus one
twenty by itself. But again partof the people's parlay. Have Iowa minus

(42:00):
two and a half against Yukon inthe semifinal there in the women's final four.
That game is coming up tomorrow night, nine thirty ish, so that'll
be a later start, but Iam looking forward to that one minus one
fifteen over on DraftKings. You parlaythose together. Both DK and bet MGM

(42:21):
have the same number at plus foursixty three for the parlay. And by
the way, all of these playsthat I'm reading you and that we will
add and whatever we add over theweekend, everything is available to you on
the action app our page. Thegambler with AK is the handle. Make
sure you check it out. Weare still, by the way, tracking
tonight's bank roll repairs hoping for asweep. Your play that we each need

(42:46):
one more leg. We each hadtwo legs, but we each need one
more. You have the LA Kings, who are up to nothing late first
period in San Jose. We justhave a money line win out of LA.
My Denver Nuggets. We're up bylike fifteen in LA against the Clippers,
if not more than that, evenit really got ugly early. It's
now halftime and the Clippers are infront fifty three forty nine, So close

(43:10):
game and like I said, fullhalf to go with. You know,
neither team fully healthy. There's noJamal Murray for Denver, there's no Kawhi
Leonard for La. We'll see howit all tracks and keep an eye on
it before we do get out ofhere. But it is the difference between
you know, cashing both of those, is the difference between a profitable day
for the show versus you know, being the whole a unit and change.

(43:31):
And we're not looking for that bankrollpayers that we gave out for tomorrow.
Mine is just a little two leggerin the NBA money line Celtics and Suns.
That's plus one seventeen over on betMGM. Dan here he's he's already
ready to live dangerously baseball. Yeah, we get Detroit Tigers, Atlanta Braves

(43:52):
plus South Carolina in the women's Finalfour, those three legs plus one twenty
on Caesars, and Brian we havea little bit of overlap with my straight
he allt spreaded Iowa, so youknow, whereas I need Iowa to win
by at least three, he justneeds Iowa to keep it close. He's
got Iowa plus six and then theVegas Golden Knights on the money line,
those two together minus one oh sixover on DraftKings. So again, Stucky

(44:14):
from Action Network's going to join uscoming up at about ten minutes. We
will get his thoughts on the upcomingfinal four, and if we have time.
I don't know how closely follows women'shoops, but we can see what
he thinks about those games as well. But our main focus is going to
be Yukon Alabama and Purdue NC State, and obviously even beyond those, what
we think about a Monday championship gameif the heavy favorites do both win and

(44:36):
we get that Yukon perdue battle asa lot of people including us, do
anticipate. Even though I have betNC State with the points plus nine and
a half. When I bet itand Yukon to cover. I also added,
and none of these are yet officialplays, Dan, but who knows.
Night's young. We'll see what endsup happening. I have already bet
off of the conversations that we've had, I've felt inspired. I like the

(44:59):
plays, like the logic. Theymake a lot of sense to me.
I have bet both Yukon and Purdueto cover in their second halves as well.
Soldo for you, that's Yukon minusfive and a half. It's Purdue
minus three and a half. AndI also, I don't think I'm searching
my little spreadsheet here real quick.I don't believe. No, I haven't

(45:21):
bet a total in the Purdue NCState game as of yet, but I
did somewhat reluctantly, knowing that bothof these offenses are insanely talented and the
three point shot could alter everything.I did invest in Yukon Alabama under one
sixty one and a half. Youdid for the full game. So I'm
just on the first half in bothof them right now. The full game

(45:44):
is still a little scared, justwith fouls and all that. You never
know what's going to happen. ButI believe the last time the Final Four
was in Phoenix, which was twentyseventeen, I think the under went three
and zero for full games, Soit is something to keep an eye there,
eye on there. I mean, those guys where they're working out today
tomorrow, Saturday morning, trying toyou know, get those site lines down.

(46:04):
But obviously practice is completely different fromthe real thing as we go forward
here. Yeah, I really likethose first half unders just because you know
it's gonna take it. It's gonnatake some time to adjust and get into
the flow of the game and allthat. Yeah, love those second half
spreads. As we've been talking aboutall week. I think that both these
teams are just going to kind of, you know, eventually turn into Bowl
constrictors here and just strangle their opponentsand run away with this thing in the

(46:27):
second half. First halfs can geta little wonky, but they're you know,
that's that's how I think these gamesare going to play out. I'm
interested to hear what Stuck He's gonnahave to say, but I'm looking through
some Final Four specials right now.Guys, want to know what you think
about this one. The Yukon Mento win each of its remaining games by
ten plus and the odds on thatare are plus two ten. And that's

(46:51):
on FanDuel. I like it.I do like it, so obviously we
both like it for Saturday, right, And that's that's what I was going
to say. What I mean,if by some miracle NC State upsets Perdue,
oh that I love this, thenI love it without a doubt.
But if it is Purdue as weall expect, man, I realize that

(47:13):
Yukon has been routinely blowing teams out, you know, going back their last
I was reading it earlier. Ithink it's the last ten tournament games the
last couple of years, every gameby at least thirteen points, so historically
even you know, immediate history, but historically that would tell you, yeah,
great bet. But look Edie andthat Purdue team certainly have the ability

(47:37):
to keep it close. They do, they absolutely do. But you're also
looking to the hypothetical line is outand it's at five and a half,
so it's not that big of astretch. It's like, well, it's
just a little bit over a basket, you think in another show future here
I'm debating it. I mean,I'm about ready to take it myself,
just because I love this team andthey've they've won me so much money the

(47:58):
past two years that I just don'twant to doubt that. Sure, ever,
and if you want to get ridof it, if if you want
to do it, it's fine byme. It's it's entirely up to you.
I mean, I think it's avery logical play. Yeah, I
mean we can wait and get stuckysethoughts and then maybe in the in the
final segment, we can make afinal decision on this. Sure, But
just just to throw it out there, Brian, how do you how do
you feel about Yukon? I mean, it feels like it it'd be a

(48:22):
huge upset anyone beats him, includingPurdue at this point, Sophie. But
this is obviously more than you know, beating that. This is you know,
you gotta you gotta win by atleast ten. Well, they've won
every game by double digits, SoI don't I don't see what we don't
stop now. Yeah, So it'sinteresting something we can keep an eye on

(48:43):
and uh think about here over thenext hour and then come to a decision
or or you know, we cando it off air Saturday afternoon whatever.
But I don't think that line isgoing to change with the specials. They
don't alter much. Yeah, it'sbeen it's been sticking there like that.
And if you want to get realnuts, you can men to win both
remaining games by twenty plus at plusten forty be worth a sprinkle, Yeah,

(49:06):
just a quarter unit just to reallyjust make yourself some cash there.
But I mean they've just been sogood. I mean you can we got
biggest blowout. So which game youthink is the bigger blowout you can get?
So if you think Yukon blows outAlabama? So let's see, so
we got biggest blowout here for finalfour day one minus one thirty five Yukon

(49:28):
Alabama plus one fifteen per due NCState, which is interesting. Yeah,
you can do highest highest scoring game. That's that's nothing. That's minus three
forty though for Alabama Yukon to havemore points, high scoring team, I
mean there. I think there isa world that Purdue has the most points

(49:50):
Saturday and you can get that atplus three hundred. I think that's possible.
I don't know, I mean,well, you know, I didn't
Eve mentioned one another bet that Idid make actually is and I saw someone
recommend this and I read the logicand I liked it, And that's uh
yukon over eighty six and a halfpoints team total. It's just oh yeah,

(50:12):
so it's jumped and it's up toeighty seven and a half now.
But I do like that too, because Alabama just like they just want to
play every single game in the nineties, right, and you kind of do
that defense optional in those games.Sure, yeah, that's an interesting one
produces at seventy eight and a half. I think that's interesting for an over
as well. The Senci State theirdefense is not that good. I think
they're gonna get exposed by Eadie Saturdaynight. But yeah, I'm just going

(50:37):
through some of the other wild trendshere that uh Action Network's just got such
a great rundown that everything you couldpossibly want to know is like is like
up here. So let's see teamsseeded ninth or lower in the final four
zero to nine straight up and threeand six against the spread in the semi

(51:00):
final. Interesting, yeah, andthere's just a lot of stuff, like,
you know, coaches with more experienceobviously have the advantage Yukon's on a
twenty six to six against the spreadagainst the spread run in the Big Dance
since two thousand and nine, they'vecovered by double digits and fourteen of those

(51:22):
games. It's insane. It's truly. It's wagon, yeah, absolute wagon.
Yep. And that's three different coachestoo. It's just something with the
program, which is just with thecraziest one there. Now. Yep,
all right, let's step aside,we come back. We'll get Stucky his
thoughts from Action Network on both ofthese games. Had to bet thement a

(51:42):
people's parlay specific just Saturday. Arethere enough bets to go around? Well,
given how many I just told youthat I personally bet, the answer
to that is a resounding yes.Stay with us. We are back.
More Final four talk coming at youhere Yukon, Alabama and of course perdue
NC State these two games Glendale ArizonaSaturday night and joining us to not only

(52:07):
break them down but help us withanother people's parlay, which we will do
next segment is none other than Stuckyfrom Action Network. You can get him
on Twitter at Stucky that's with anE and the number two. He is
the self proclaimed Prime Minister of degeneratenation, although I feel like there's got
a few room in the cabinet forboth Dan and I here with the way
things go with this show, Stucky, how are you man? Good?

(52:30):
How's it going? Yeah, youguys are more than welcome to join the
cabinet. I appreciate that. Hey, have you seen Hot Tub Time Machine?
Yeah? So, I feel likeyou are this show's great white buffalo,
if that reference speaks to you inany way, because you are a
it's actually it's fairly amazing everyone thatworks with you, because we have a

(52:53):
lot of Action Network guys on thisshow. Either they are incredibly protective of
your privacy or literally none of yourcoworkers have your phone number, maybe a
little bit of both. It's it'squite a thing. We're happy to have
you here, obviously to talk aboutthese games. And let's start with you

(53:15):
know, I guess the one that'syou know, in the minds of many
easier to handicap, and that isYukon, who has just been on a
demolition of the rest of college basketballfor a couple of years now. One
seed against the four Alabama, twohigh octane offenses. The one big difference
between the two well, they're acouple. But obviously defense Alabama doesn't really

(53:38):
do it. Yukon is, youknow, a top five team in terms
of adjusted defense Ken Palm and tempois a big difference. Alabama's top ten,
Yukon is in the three hundred range. And you know, we are
big believers in the Huskies. Herewe got a hefty show future on Yukon
to win the championship. I know, CHOCKI, but you know, when

(53:58):
you got a powerhouse like this,it's easy to have the faith, especially
with what this Huskies team has beendoing throughout this tournament, the last tournament
run as well. Do you laythe eleven and a half in this one?
Do you expect more of the same. I mean, I make it
kind of close to fair, butI refused the bet against Yukon in the
tournament. There's something about Yukon oncethey get in the tournament. It's not

(54:20):
even these past two years which they'reten and zero. I believe against the
spread, they're twenty five and sixagainst the spread in their past thirty one
tournament games. They get in andwhen they're making a run, they're usually
treating gamblers very well. But younailed it. I mean, I just
don't see how Alabama gets stopped inthis game. And you know, the

(54:45):
great equalizers obviously the three point lineand Alabama's wins this year they shot forty
three percent from three, and theirlosses they were close to twenty eight percent.
A lot of correlation with their homeand away from home splits there too.
They're gonna have to you know, the thing. The thing when you
play Yukon though, is you haveto beat them in the mid range.
You're not gonna get anything at therim. And that's all album wants to

(55:07):
do is get to the rim orshoot threes. Yu kind does a really
good job of taking away for reason. Now, I haven't still gonna fire
them up. I mean, ifI'm NADOs, I say, I go
with Nelson an offensive lineup, andI say, if you shoot a two
in the half court, I'm pullingyou. And we're just gonna shoot fifty
threes. And you gotta hope thatthey are red hot and they make I

(55:29):
don't know, they got to makelike eighteen frees. If they have an
off shooting night, they're gonna getran out of the gym because they just
can't protect the rim. There's Yukonis going to dominate on the offensive glass,
and their their offense is just theirmotion offense is so beautiful, and

(55:50):
that's just the nightmare for an Alabamadefense that's always out of sorts, and
you don't want that against this Yukonjuggernaut. So I'm pretty close to fair.
I like Newton over rebounds as aprop in that game. I think
he can just clean them up.And there's gonna be a lot of long
rebounds too in this game without Iassume Alabama is going to try and fire

(56:13):
up threes. I assume they're goingto try and get out and transition and
run and get buckets before Yukon setsup their defense. And you know,
Yukon does have a really good transitiondefense, but so did North Carolina and
so did Clemson, and album wasable to get out run and guess what,
they hit forty four percent of theirthrees in those games. And that's
why they want it. And thisis a step up in class to the

(56:35):
best team in college basketball. Soit's either Yukon or nothing. But uh,
I'm pretty close to fair. Ithink Newton should have a big day
on the glass. I like himover rebounds but it's it's basically gonna come
out and how many threes can Alabamamake that's their only shot? So stucky
is We've been breaking down this gameall week. We've been trying to figure
out, you know, the bestways to play this one, and the

(56:55):
general consensus here that we've kind ofstruck with and stuck with is Yukon to
cover in the second half at sixand a half is what it's at now.
We've seen this with this team throughoutthe past few months, especially in
this tournament, that they almost kindof have like played with their food a
little bit in the first half theydid with San Diego State and then obviously
with Illinois before that that thirty tonothing run there that Yukon just eventually they

(57:20):
go full Bowl Constrictor and just strangletheir opponents to death in the second half
and just run away with it.Do you see them running away again with
this one on Saturday night? Yeah? Unless Alabama states hot, I don't
mind that approach. It's also apotential along those same lines for a good
live betting opportunity. So Yukon doescome out a little bit slow and then
you know Alabama's hots and three andthey take them a lead early in the

(57:45):
first half that there's like ten togo and they're up by you know,
six to seven. I think thenit's an opportunity to come in on Yukon
Live, because yeah, I eventuallythink that they're just gonna overwhelm Alabama and
then when Alabama goes cold, it'sjust going to be easy bucket. Like
that's the problem for Alabama is thatthey have to maintain a hot shooting clip

(58:07):
throughout this game because Yukon is goingto get so many easy buckets and they
just have to hope that they're hotand they're trading threes for two. The
scariest thing to me though about Yukonis they're doing this. Like a thirty
to nothing run in the Elite eightagainst one of the best offenses in the
country is actinine. I remember Billanovadlike a twenty five nothing run in the

(58:28):
Final four against the Buddy held inOklahoma six seven years ago, But I
a thirty to nothing run is insane. Yukon hasn't even shot the three well
in this turn. If they gethot from three, I mean, good
night Alabama. So that's exactly whereI was going to go next. Yukon
really doesn't have any weaknesses other thanshooting the three. They're about thirty six

(58:49):
percent. That's sixty ninth in thecountry. I was probably reading on your
site that it's just outside of thetop twenty in terms of teams that made
the tournament this year. So,I don't know. Do you think the
Huskies just to for lack of puttingit in a better way, just look
to play their game, you know, live on the inside and mid range
and don't worry too much about thethree pointer. Alabama's gonna do what it

(59:12):
does. Obviously, do your bestto defend the perimeter, but you know
you're not going to try and matchthem three for three because it's just not
gonna work out. Yeah, Imean that you kind of just, yeah,
just all they have to do isplay their game, run their offense.
They're gonna get some open three looksand still take them. I mean,
they take nothing but good shot,it seems. And if they're making
those, it's it's gonna be along, long night for Alabama. They're

(59:37):
gonna need I mean, they hadStevenson hit to beat Clempson. You got
to remember, even to beat Clempsonthat game was close all the way to
the end. Clempton, one ofthe best fruit throw shooting teams in the
country, couldn't make a free throwand you know you have Stevenson come off
to bench five to three averages fivepoints per game. They had like a
heroic Nelson performance to get by NorthCarolina. So you know, Alabama is

(01:00:02):
a bit fortunate to be here.Usually don't see teams with their defensive issues
make this deep of a run,and ultimately, I think that's going to
be their demise here. And Ithink I think ultimately Yukon probably covers,
but it just comes down to thethree for album and how many they hit.
So that Stucky, well, we'llcome on back with it because I

(01:00:23):
want to make sure we have plentyof time get to the other game in
the parlay as well. We haveStucky here with us from the Action Network.
We're going to step aside. We'vegot Purdue an NC State obviously when
we return, and a People's parlayfor Saturday. So hang around. We'll
be right back talk and final fourSaturday games with Stucky from Action Network.
We were just breaking down Yukon Alabama. We're going to do Purdue, NC

(01:00:46):
State in just second. But Dan, I know you had one more lingering
thought on that first game. Yeah, stucky with Alabama just seeming hell then
on playing every single game in thenineties this year, I mean, Yukon
team total eighty six and a halfis the over the play? Is that
a good play here? For thisone? It feels like it is.
Yeah, it's hard to imagine Yukonnot getting and we just talked about their

(01:01:08):
three three hitting. They're gonna getthrown undred sounds good to make. Let's
talk Purdue, the other one seedagainst the eleven NC State. You know,
people are pretty much at a pointwhere even if you are on NC
State with the points as I amindividually outside of the show, it's something
I invested in earlier in the weekplus nine and a half, I do

(01:01:30):
like it. I just I don'tknow, maybe I'm trying to talk myself
into NC State just keeping a closehanging around because it's just what we keep
seeing. I mean, this team, you know, from the ACC Tournament
to what it's done so far herein March Madness, it has been incredible.
It's been impressive. It's just beenfun to watch. They're a very
easy team to like and root forand all of it. But you'd be
hard pressed, stuck you to findsomeone who could talk themselves into the Wolfpack

(01:01:52):
actually winning this game. The matchupof the one seeds Yukon Purdue, it
feels inevitable. How much Yeah, before we even get into how you're betting
this one, how does NC Statekeep it close? You know? How
much does does Dj Burns have todo in the middle when he's contending,
obviously with Zach Edie, who everyoneassumes it's just going to absolutely have his

(01:02:15):
way with Burns compared to what Burnshas been doing lately. You know what,
how does this thing play out inyour mind? Yeah? I think
it's I mean, look, NTState's an incredible run. Vibes of that
Yukon team that also won five gamesin five days to win them. Yeah,
and they went on to win thenational title. You know this is

(01:02:37):
it's gonna be a tough test forNC State. One of the things that
they've they're playing a lot better,They've changed up their rotation a bit later
in the season, and Burns Gavan. He's very easy to root for.
But one of the things that's happenedis no one can make a shot against
them, So that's certainly helped.I mean, over their last eight games
they won them. All teams areshooting twenty six percent from three, and

(01:03:01):
prior to that eight game stretch, they were three hundredths in the country in
three point defense. So I mean, just go back to that Marquette game
where Marquette just I mean, theycouldn't throw in the ocean and they got
wide open look after wide open look. So they're gonna have to hope that
Purdue another opponent, has an offshooting night, because you know, the

(01:03:22):
two things that are really working againstit and produce is one of the best
three point shooting teams in the country. A lot of that is because all
the attention that Eadie drawls and youget, you know, wide open looks
a lot of the time, andthey have good shooters. If Purdue is
on from three and that regression comes, it's going to be tough Forrenzi State.
So I think the path is,you know, there's a couple of
things they can do. They theyduring the regular season they pressed a lot.

(01:03:45):
He's like the press. They didn'treally haven't really done it much of
late, especially the AC Tournament. They were running on fumes and you got
to save energy. But you knowPurdue guards can be pressured a bit at
times into some mistakes, so maybethat the route you could see the press
unleashed here. They're gonna have tohope Purdue doesn't go nuclear from three,
and then the most important aspect ofthis game is the whistle. I mean,

(01:04:13):
so you saw it with every teamseemingly that Purdue plays. Edie's gonna
get you into foul trouble, andthere's a really good chance Burns gets into
foul trouble here. I think they'regonna have to help. He doesn't usually
like to do that. They're gonnahave to double craft. They can't just
let Edie go for They just sawhim go for forty against Tennessee. They
gotta say, look, we gotto help so we don't get in foul

(01:04:35):
trouble. They only go seven deep. They play two guys off their bench
in Middlebrooks and Taylor, so theygotta stay out of foul. I think
they got to help and then justlive with the threes and hope that Purdue
has an offshooting night and they justcan't get in foul trouble because they're not
deep. You gotta have Burns onthe floor as your you know, point
guard in a way playing through theposts, which is just insane passing ability.

(01:04:58):
But yeah, they got to justhope produces all off. They got
to stay out of foul trouble. And you know, there's a lot of
discourse around Edie and the fouls Hegets out a ton obviously humongous, but
he you know, in that Tennesseegame he got away with a couple of
foulders, a push off, therewas an elbow. That's something to watch
too. Like if Edie gets inearly foul trouble, and he's done a
really good job of not doing thatthis year, but that could change the

(01:05:20):
complexion of this game as well.I just think that NC State's eventually going
to get into foul trouble. Burnsis not going to have the strength and
physicality advantage that he's enjoyed throughout thisrun against Edie, and like Edie's length,
with all of his spins and movesin a post, He's just going
to be able to contain Burns. And that's assuming that Burns stays out of

(01:05:43):
foul trouble. So we haven't reallytalked about totals much for the game first
halfs or whatever. I feel likethis one's going to be one of those
for I really like the first halfunder here in this one, Stucky.
I think these teams come out alittle slow, trying to feel it out,
especially in this arena. I thinkthe the unders for the game.
I believe back in twenty seventeen we'rethree and oh to the under in those

(01:06:04):
three games. You what do youthink of the total here in this one,
because I think like you're talking about, I think NC State is going
to struggle to score here. Yeah. The only thing I would be worried
about with that, you know. The good thing with it under here is
and what scares me off totals thisweekend and a lot of times in these

(01:06:25):
scenarios is this foreign you know,Neutral Site Football Stadium. There's been some
rumors like the balls have been overinflated. You've seen some funky shooting,
so like, yeah, everyone couldjust be off shooting wise, but pay
has sad like a conflation of theballs around here, Stuckey. The New
England show a cue. So ifPainter hinted that he wants to get out

(01:06:47):
and run more, the only thingI would be afraid is the NS State
does try to press and says,Okay, that's our best route is not
only do we want to press,to try and turn for do over and
turn their guards over, but like, let's not let them get into their
sets and by time uh and forcePurdue to have to, you know,
get the ball off the court. But you know that could speed the game

(01:07:09):
up. So I'm a little conflicted. I don't mind the first half under
because I ultimately I do think youknow, you can't press too much because
you only go seven deep. Yougot to worry about foul trouble. So
and you're the underdog, So Ithink that the best plan for NC States
to try and slow this game down, as they've been doing more of late.

(01:07:31):
So I don't mind the first halfunderlook. And you also have who
knows with the balls, and youhave this this gyms with the site lines,
you could have just funky shooting earlyon, So I don't hate that
look at all. Purdue hitting fortyone percent of threes. NC State has
held opponents to twenty eight percent sincethe start of the ACC tournament. So
do you think that Purdue is isgoing to have its usual success from beyond

(01:07:55):
the arc or is it going tolook to really just you know, feed
Ead on the inside and have himtry and will this team to the championship.
Yeah. I mean, look,if I knew the answer to that,
then I'd probably be on an islandsomewhere. So I knew which teams
are going to make their threes.I think p'tably gonna get a lot of
good open looks. I think thatthey're going to have to help on Edie.
And you know that regression Monts youmentioned twenty percent. I th includes

(01:08:17):
the game where Louisville. You know, who cares about Louisville they went nuts
from three. It's like twenty sixpercent over the past eight So yeah,
there was some major regression looming. And if that happens, I think it's
good night for NC State and Iyou know, quite frankly, it's it's
a bit of a disappointing Final fourin the fact that we didn't get many

(01:08:41):
upsets early. So usually that's whythat's a good thing, is that you
get better games late. Set sixteenE. E. D eight. You
know, it's okay, but nowwe have two spreads that are the if
you add them up the highest totalin sixty years for final four games.
So what can save this tournament though, is Yukon verse Purdue, which should

(01:09:03):
be a great game on Monday nightif we do get it. You know,
the Mt State's a great story, but I you know what Yukon can
be laying at fourteen fifteen points ina national title game. I'd rather see
them go up against Purdue. Sohow do you how do you handicap that
one? Have you already jumped onthe hypothetical line? Here? It's at

(01:09:25):
five and a half for Monday nightif we get that matchup that we're all
hoping we see, Yeah, youknow, I make it close to you
know, four four and a half. But again, I don't want to
get in front of Yukon at all. And if Yukon destroys Alabama again,
who in the right mind? Andyou know, this is a national title
everyone and their dog and mom oris betting it so the public can have

(01:09:46):
a say. So you know,I wouldn't be surprised if it's that high.
And there's just a little bit ofan attacks right now in order to
bet Yukon. You know, theofficials it's going to be that that'll be
so key because you know, youhave the two bigs inside who you know,
can kind of battle each other.I think Yukon is, you know,

(01:10:08):
if they're superior everywhere else on theperimeter especially, and I think that
would ultimately be the difference. Butcan Edie. You know, we've seen
times where Clinging gets in South Troubleearly in games that could really change the
complexion of the game. If hegets you know, he picks up two

(01:10:28):
thousand. We've seen that, youknow a couple of times. I remember
Saint John's and uh so, Ithink that would be the key, Like
who gets in South Trouble first, and if it's nobody, I think ultimately
the Yukon guards or are superier andthat would be the difference. And there's
just something about this, I mean, it's super impressive. What Hurley does.
I mean, he this team isout for blood, they're defending champions,

(01:10:53):
and they have a chip on theirshoulder. They will find he finds
any little thing and uses it.And this respect card us against the world
even though everyone's like this is thebest team in the country by far,
but they still come in with achip on their shoulder and just want they
just want blood and it's super impressive. I mean after the Sweet sixteen,

(01:11:15):
he's saying, we're after the second. Yeah, we got to play the
first game on as on Thursday. The committee hates us, say a think
coming across the country and played lateSunday doesn't matter. Use that they come
out and are just burying teams andthe runs, the kill shots that they
put on teams is super impressive.I think, you know, I make
it around like four four and ahalf prior to this weekend, but I'm

(01:11:39):
not stepping in front of this Yukontrain. So let's give out our people's
parlay for Saturday and Stucky the waythis works, and as mentioned, many
of your Action Network colleagues have donethis with us what feels like a billion
times before between all of them, but it's it's exactly what you would think
it is. We're going to givea show parlay where you give your favorite

(01:12:00):
pick for the weekend. Dan willdo the same, Soulill Lie. We
always tell people play the straights, but obviously we look to parlaying together and
have a nice payday that hopefully wecan all including our listeners, make some
money on Saturday and listen on oursystem. You don't need to text me
your bet slip or anything, butyou are required by show law to play
this thing along with us, andhopefully we all have something to celebrate come

(01:12:20):
Saturday nights. So stucky you beatingagainst all? Right? Perfect? Do
you start us off? What isyour favorite play that you have between these
two games Saturday? Well, Ihate to do this, as I'm going
again the show personal over your personalplay that was mentioned, but I'm gonna
go with Purdue. I just thinkthat the shooting regression is likely to hit.

(01:12:42):
I think there's going to be foultrouble, and I'd just like they
can dag a game. I thinkDue is eventually just going to pull away,
and look, Ferns just does nothave the same advantage that he has
had going up against Dye and thePost. So I think eventually Purdue pulls
away to make their three get emptystate and foul trouble and the Cinderella run
comes to an end. I likePurdue by double digits, and I will

(01:13:05):
say that IT'SUS nine to nine anda half. At most places, there's
a rogue nine out there on DraftKingsnine and a half. I see on
fan duel bet MGM eight and ahalf though on Caesars, So that is
the best place to place that straightfor people that are looking for that one.
Dan, what do you have? All Right? We talked about that
first half under a little bit.I really like it. I beware the

(01:13:26):
sight lines guys in the football stadium. I think it's gonna mess with these
guys a little bit here to startthis game. I think both teams will
come out a little cool and weshould be able to hit this under at
sixty eight and a half for thefirst half. And this is in the
Purdue North Carolina State game. Thenerves, the jitters, I'm into it,
and plus be in the first gametoo, so they don't even have
that first game in front of themto ease into and sort of take a

(01:13:47):
breath. No, they're thrust tocenter stage first. My play, and
I know it's one Dan loves aswell. We've been talking about it all
week. We kind of had tofight over who was going to use it.
Yukon minus five and hours half inthe second half, you can still
get a five and a half onFanDuel. I just think, I really
I don't think it's gonna be particularlyclose at halftime either, but especially if

(01:14:10):
it is. I don't think we'regonna get that thirty zero run that we
just saw, but I think thatYukon is going to pull away and cover
the eleven and a half, coverthe five and a half in the second
half, and really, you know, take advantage there running away onto a
national championship game on Monday. SoYukon minus five and a half in the
second half, perdue minus nine anda half, and the under in that

(01:14:31):
Purdue NC State game in the firsthalf sixty eight and a half. You
played those on FanDuel looks to beone of the only spots we actually can
parlay those three things together with theSGP and that is plus six to OHO
one. Stucky, So we gotourselves a nice parlay. Love it.
I will be placing that in justa moment to pop on board. I
like both look and yeah, thanksfor having me on. I'm happy to

(01:14:56):
come back whenever you guys want toneed me, absolutely, man. Always
enjoy following you during the football seasonas well, both NFL and college.
And you know, I don't knowif you sort of take a step back
when basketball ends and or if youdive heavily into baseball like the rest of
us idiots and lose money. Butyou know, either way, I'm certain
we'll have you back. Appreciate youhopping on with us. Absolutely, have

(01:15:18):
a go on, guys, allright, you as well get Stucky on
Twitter at Stucky that is s tU c K E Y and the number
two. We'll come back and recapthe People's Parlay that one. We already
gave you the other one a coupleof times and put this show to bed.
Now it's time to put this showto bed with my pillow, all

(01:15:42):
right, I'm just loading the secondPeople's Parlay into the Action app for anyone
that wants to tail follow along.Obviously best places to play all of these
things and all of that good stuff. But while I'm doing that, Dan
a throwback to something we used todo a little bit here on this show.
What what has your attention for tomorrow? Oh? Wow? Oh man,
catching me off guard, right,But yeah, there are some interesting

(01:16:05):
baseball spots. Obviously we talked aboutwell I did with my play with Kyle
Schwarber in the Phillies. But PatrickCorbin literally goes out there to eat innings
and get his face ripped off forthe Nationals to kind of preserve their bullpen
a little bit. I mean, this guy has had an ERA well over
five for just like four or fiveyears running. Now the Phillies, they

(01:16:26):
put all the big studs in thePhillies lineup, from Harper Schwarbert Real Mioto,
all those guys, Alex Baum, all have great career numbers against him.
So I'm gonna be playing some Philliesprops for sure. Austin Gomber at
Corsfield, which we talked about alittle bit with Kenny. I really like
that too, and any of thoseraised plays. Harold Ramirez definitely someone will
have my eye on the total basesthough over one and a half at minus

(01:16:47):
one seventy is ridiculous. Won't bepaying that price, can tell you that
much. And then finally Cutter Crawfordtoo. Man, I'm impressed by him.
Looks really good against Seattle once theseprops come up and come out.
I have not seen him yet.Further for Crawford in this one, I
know Griffin Canning's numbers were up fortomorrow, but let's just take one last
quick look here. Yeah, nothingfor Crawford yet, but we get something

(01:17:12):
around five and a half for hisstrikeouts. I will definitely be looking at
an over there for him. Anythingoff the conversation with Stuckey that you wanted
to add in. I know thatyou said there were a couple other things
you want to maybe get to.Oh yeah, well, actually it's his
play, his show play. Ihave talked myself into Purdue. I'd bet
that before before we'd come on theair tonight. Now it looks like we're
playing it as part of the show. So happy with that for sure.

(01:17:33):
I've yeah, I just Burns isgoing to get into foul trouble and I
don't think he's going to be ableto contain Die and I also don't think
he's going to be able to shootover him either. I think this run
comes to a crashing end for NCState Saturday night. I will be sitting
conflicted because I again I have investedpersonally in NC State plus nine and a

(01:17:53):
half. But I will always rootfor the show, and especially for the
show parlay to hit. So we'llsee what ends up happening there. Although
what I will say, I meanthis wouldn't work with the parlay, but
we could middle. We could technicallymiddle and hit the straight if the parlay
did fail us with the plus nineand a half in to minus eight and
a half. But you know,we're looking to get real cute there with

(01:18:14):
just a nine point win out ofPurdue. I don't know either way.
It's gonna be a lot of funthese two games obviously coming up on Saturday,
and then we'll be on opposite thechampionship game on Monday, and so
really looking forward to it. Wehave been giving you a ton between ourselves
and obviously as important as anything, our guests that we have had on with
you so far. This week.We had Stucky just now, we had

(01:18:36):
Chris Felika yesterday, we had TomCassally earlier in the week, everyone breaking
down their final four plays and logicand a lot of overlap, but a
lot of explanation and some different sidesas well. So if you missed even
a moment of any of those conversations, lines haven't moved, so it's all
still incredibly relevant. Check out thepodcast The Gambler with Adam Kauffman wherever you
