(00:00):
The gambler starts. Now, here'sAdam Kaufman. All right, here we
go. It is Championship Monday, the men's college basketball national title game going
on out in Glendale, Arizona, between our Yukon Huskies and the Purdue boiler
Makers. We're about a minute awayfrom halftime, a game minute anyway,

(00:22):
we'll see how long that actually takes. And to no surprise, it is
a game. Yukon is up rightnow, thirty four to thirty. We
knew Zach Eady and company were goingto put up a fight. It's not
like Purdue was going to go downswinging. The boiler Makers may not go
down at all, but obviously forshow purposes, and I could promise you
my individual bets, I certainly hopethat Yukon completes this thing finishes off the

(00:47):
what felt like just kind of awire to wire watch us look at us,
Dan Hurley in company, US againstthe world. Yeah, we'll repeat
his champs for the first time sincesix seven and when Al Horford and the
Florida Gators did it, it's ourturn. They have been absolutely incredible,
despite we've talked about it on thisshow, losing their top few scores from

(01:10):
last year. Obviously it's a newera of basketball, to transfer portal all
of that, but this team iselite. It is elite. You don't
need me to tell you that. They have a tournament record eleven straight wins
by at least thirteen points. Tryingfor another double digit win tonight. If
they can get there, that wouldmean covering, of course, six and

(01:33):
a half, and they would becovering it going away. There are a
lot of people that expect a closegame, a lot of people in the
public coming into this one. We'reon the produce side, not necessarily believing
the boiler Makers are going to win, but staying inside of that seven.
Maybe you got it at seven anda half if you are over there,
but if you are on Yukon,be it with us on a three unit

(01:53):
championship future plus four hundred pre tournamentor if you just bet this game individually,
and there are a lot of differentways to do it. One of
our official show bets we will besweating out in a little while, and
that is minus two and a halfYukon in the second half. It's thirty
six thirty at the break. Ithink this Dan Watkins honestly as far as

(02:15):
that specific bet, and I wantyour thoughts on this game so far as
well, but on that specific bet, this is about the kind of half
that you wanted, and I feltthe same way when I placed and you
placed. We as a show placedthe Yukon minus five and a half bet
back in the semifinal game. Itwas you want a competitive first half and

(02:35):
hope that Yukon goes Yukon and pullsaway in half number two. We're not
even asking for as much this timearound. We were looking for It was
a four point lead at that pointin time, so we were looking ultimately
for a ten point win and beyond, and they won by I think it
was twelve thirteen points here in thisone again, second half minus two and
a half, So we're not evenasking for double figures. We're asking for

(02:59):
a nine point win, which isagain something Yukon has done routinely. Is
this the night the night that theydon't finally come through? No, No,
They're they're gonna come through tonight.I mean, so you look at
it right now, it's we're lookingat an eight and a half for the
game for the live line, SoI mean, this game has lived up
to the hype so far. Ithink you got two heavyweights going at it.

(03:21):
Yukon just kind of pulled away alittle bit there to get that six
point lead heading into halftime. Butyou look at the live lines at them,
I mean they're pretty much right wherethey closed at. I mean you
got Yukons and eight and a halfright now, I think it closed six
and a half, and then yougot the totals at one forty one where
that closed I think around one fortythree and a half. Really feeling good
that I got one forty six theother night right when it opened. But

(03:43):
yeah, I think we're in goodshape. I like it. Maybe Yukon's
up a little bit too much becausenow we need them to cover more than
just the original game spread to getthis win here. But no, I
still like Yukon minus two and ahalf in the second half compared to you
know, if I had per Duplus two and a half, I would
much rather be on the Husky sidehere. And I think it's just a
matter of time before Purdue ultimately doeskind of kind of tap out here at

(04:04):
the end. Well, listen, man, from your mouth to my wallet,
let's hope that is the case, because we are all at varying degrees
invested in this game here on thisshow and certainly in Yukon. It's it's
all about the Huskies here for us. That can make or break our our
month potentially. So let's hope things, you know, go really well obviously

(04:27):
for the Huskies and half number two. We're not just going to do the
thing that you might get in someother places where we sit here when the
second half starts and give you fauxplay by play and just sort of,
you know this, react to likeevery little thing. We're not going to
do that. That's that one.It would be terrible radio. You wouldn't
be listening. You may not belistening right now anyway, you may be

(04:48):
listening after the fact to the podcast, you know, as it's the whole
like inception. Right now. Forme, I'm looking at the clock.
It's ten thirteen pm here on aMonday night, but for you it could
be you know, six in themorning on Tuesday and all of this has
already happened. You're driving into workwondering how you should go about betting the
Tuesday games. So that is forthe most part going to be our focus,

(05:10):
not just you know, drifting throughwhat is happening in the National Title
game. But obviously there will beperiodic updates because damn it, we care.
But here's what we're going to dotonight, and we do have a
stacked lineup coming your way. There'snot much outside of obviously this game,
which is a giant game, andit should be over by now because it
should have started earlier, not atfreaking nine to twenty at night. But

(05:31):
putting that aside, you're no longera morning radio guy. This shouldn't bother
you anymore. It bothers me,just the quick little tank. It bothers
me because, like my kids wantto watch this game. Oh, it's
nice to think the dad angle. You're gonna take the dad angle. I'm
taking the like reasonable human being angle. I realize it's a Monday night.
I get it's a Monday night,but I don't know why. And I

(05:55):
don't even care about the whole argumentof like these are two Eastern time zone
schools. I don't give a crapabout that, but I don't know why
for the cop like the super Bowl, Yes, big difference Sunday versus a
Monday, but the super Bowl startsat six thirty. You know, I
don't know why we need to appealto the West Coast audience and let all
of those people get home from workand settle in. It's a three hour

(06:16):
time difference, Okay, we don'tneed to start this thing at six point
twenty six, twenty five, evenan hour earlier, Like they can check
out if they care that much,or maybe they missed some of the first
half boohoo. But like, startthe game at eight eight thirty Eastern.
You don't need to start this thingat nine to twenty. It's stupid.
Well it could be. I meanthey're also in Arizona tonight too, so

(06:38):
that definitely plays a role there withthese West coasts and that it's at a
West Coast venue. Sure, butyou can still start it earlier, Like
there have been Super Bowls that happenon the West Coast on the week in
the afternoon. Yeah, that's onthe weekend. Though this is a Monday.
People work, These kids have nothingto do. They're just waiting for
the game to start, just likethe rest of us. You could start
this thing earlier. I realized,like, yeah, personally, I don't

(07:00):
care, Like if it were upto me, and maybe you feel the
same way because of you know, what we do and the shift that you
work, Like I wish the RedSox were on the West Coast year round.
I love ten o'clock games. Ithink it's a but I didn't back
when I was getting up at youknow, the butt crack of dawn like
that, that's a nightmare. Youwant to be able to watch some bit.
So yeah, I appeal to youryour average working man who has a

(07:23):
much tougher job than I do,that has to you know, the alarm
goes off at four thirty or fivein the morning or whatever time it is
to get ready and go start yourday. Like, yeah, you shouldn't
have to be sitting there staring atyour watch at eleven o'clock wondering when the
game is going to end. So, yes, that that's that scratching thatnch.
But we're going to talk a lotabout there's not As I was starting

(07:45):
to say before, there's very littlein the sports world going on today,
and I don't know how much ofthat is this game. I mean,
I'm guessing the NBA is completely offtoday because of this game. I don't
really know why you need to dothat, but whatever I mean, let
the NBA do it. That's fine, but you have almost nothing going on
in the NHL, only two games. The baseball slate a little bit light.

(08:07):
Nothing started before what five o'clock,So that was kind of stupid too.
I don't know why we can't have, you know, day long baseball
every single day. That should justbe. It's not like people aren't gonna
go You're not gonna still fill thesands on a workday. People play hooky,
people will go all firs. Haveyou seen some of these stadiums around
the league. Well not maybe someof these places, but that depends on

(08:28):
those teams. But Tomorrow, Tuesday, you have fifteen baseball games which start
as early as roughly noontime, includingthe Red Sox home opener obviously, so
have a great time if you're goingto Fenway, enjoy the reunion of everyone
not named Kurt Shilling in terms ofthe two thousand and four Red Sox champions
at least, you know, allliving parties rest in peace to Tim Wakefield,

(08:52):
of course, his wife, LarryLukeno, you know, and others.
You will have fourteen games in theAssociation, the will have thirteen games
in the NHL. And all theBoston teams are in action, the Red
Sox, the Celtics, and theBruins. So Tomorrow fun day and we're
gonna tell you how to bet alot of that. Adam Rosenberg from Outlier

(09:13):
is going to join us, comingup in just a few minutes. We'll
keep him for a couple of segments, talk through some Major League baseball.
He's had some early season success.Let's find out how, because Lord knows,
I'm throwing money away on k propson a daily basis. Nick Waylon
Arpal from Road to Wire is gonnacome on NBA Focus with him next hour
after we give you the bankroll repairat the end of this hour, obviously

(09:35):
for Tuesday, and then once thisgame is over and we can really break
it down, we will do thatwith our good buddy Colby Dant, host
of The College Experience of the SportsGambling podcast Network. He'll pop on for
a segment, will break down theNational Title game, maybe look at some
early futures on next year. AndI have to get his thoughts on John
Calipari leaving Kentucky for Arkansas and whatthe Wildcats are going to do next.

(10:00):
I pray to all that is holyin the sports world that we go full
circle and Rick Patino winds up backin Lexington. It's all I want in
the world other than Yukon winning tonightby a comfortable margin. We had Patino
not long ago, like I think, in just the last couple of weeks.
He was doing an interview and wasjust sort of off handedly, I

(10:22):
mean, not totally off he wassort of set up for the question.
He can just mentioned it out ofthe blue, but he was talking about
obviously leaving Kentucky for Boston when hecame to the Celtics, and that,
you know, how do you turnthat down. It's the Celtics, it's
the NBA, it's Red Hour Back, it's all of that. But if
he has one major life regret,he wishes he had never left Kentucky.

(10:43):
So please give me Rick Patino backin Kentucky. Oh my god, that
would be so much fun, especiallywith the transfer portal and the way the
game has changed. Oh, it'dbe something. So we're gonna do a
lot here tonight, Dan, I'mexcited about it. Plus, haven't you
mentioned this, It's Master's Week.We will do a lot in the way
the Masters. The next couple ofdays before that begins on Thursday, and
maybe just maybe a thought or twotonight if we have time. Yeah,

(11:05):
I can't wait for that. Justplace my first Master's bet too, by
the way, right before we cameon the air tonight, so maybe we
can talk about that in a littlebit. Was it on Batilla to win
the uh uh? No? No, no, it was not not getting
the green jacket, no act shaveBatilla. No, after that big win
at the Balero. No it itwasn't Scottie Shuffler either. I can tell

(11:26):
you that shocking number of people thatI have seen that had Batilla at plus
sixty five hundred or whatever it wasto win that I'm following the wrong people
in the golf world, I guessbecause I am. I mean, I
very rarely bet golf to begin with. I'll bet this, I'll bet some
of the you know, the majors, and and when we have guests on,
I'll typically tail some of the stuffthat they send us. But on

(11:48):
on my own, I will veryrarely bet golf. But I gotta I
gotta get in the right circles, the right discords. I guess all these
people. Yeah, Masters was goodlast year. I had rom last year.
Hopefully I would love to do itagain because that was a nice boost
to the banks of the bank roll. There you go. All right,
we're gonna step aside. When wereturn Adam Rosenberg, Hey Rosenberg, He's
gonna come on Tucks and Baseball withus for the next couple segments. We'll

(12:09):
get some dis favorite plays for Tuesday, although I can't imagine any of them
will be nearly as good as Dangoing out on a limb with show.
Hey Otani tonight who he said,Yeah, I just over a one and
a half total basis, how aboutlike eight or nine including a homer and
what just production every time up?So we'll get into some of that when
we return. We are back TheGambler with Adam Kaufman. He're on WRKO.

(12:35):
We come your way Monday to Thursday, ten to midnight Eastern time.
If you miss even a single secondof the show, how dare you?
No, we understand that you're sleeping. So do check out the podcast rate
review. Most importantly, subscribe. You can just search The Gambler with Adam
Kaufman wherever you get your podcasts. And I'll admit I know people don't listen
to every second of every show. It's okay, we forgive you, but

(12:56):
people have asked me, hey,if I don't have time to listen,
where do we get your sh Becauseyou guys bet some pretty decent success.
We'd like to tell you, well, thank you for asking. Download the
Action app and search us. Ourhandle is the Gambler with ak. Just
about everything gets posted there, andsometimes even exclusive bets that are not mentioned
on the radio show, like onthe weekends when we're not on, they

(13:18):
get posted there. We posted betsearlier tonight, as a matter of fact,
including Yukon minus two and a halfin the second half. Second half
of this title game against Purdue isgoing to be starting momentarily. You can
still jump on that line over onFanDuel and courage that you do. So
roll with us. We'll see whathappens. Let's hope for the best.
Let's talk a little baseball though forthese next couple segments and bring in good

(13:39):
friend of our show, Adam RosenbergHey Rosenberg on Twitter. He also secretly
manages the Babies That Bet Babies WhoBet account. You should check that out.
He is from a outlier as wellas CTP Boston what's up, Bud.
What's going on? Man? Howyou guys doing. I'm good.
You know, Dan, Adam andI we were texting earlier, you know,

(14:01):
lining up this spot tonight and justtalking about whatever, and and realize
we only live about ten minutes awayfrom each other. Yeah, so much
further, so much further away.At Rosenberg, I thought you were a
Boston guy. I wasn't sure though, So you are from around here,
that's awesome. No, I livearound here. My wife won the argument.

(14:22):
I'm from Philadelphia, and so Iwill still which is you know,
Boston south right, Like that's whatit is. It's like the minute,
let Boston is basically Philadelphia. Butlook, guys, I'm just stoked.
You know, I came on lastsummer when you guys were getting this run
in, and you know, Ilove baseball, so I'm just kind of
I think it's my first baseball spotof the season. So I'm pretty stoked
with you guys. Definitely this season. We had John during the playoffs last

(14:43):
year and all that, but anew season. Knew everything and it is.
It's an exciting time. We're allsort of trying to navigate it a
little bit. You know, someof us, probably me have gone in
harder than others who are smarter bythe way that happened, because baseball is,
you know, it's a quick reminderof how volatile obviously this game is.
And you know, I know,I see some of the pets that

(15:05):
that you'll post, and you liketo sprinkle some home runs. You like
to play a lot of over ontotal bases or HRR hits runs RBIs.
You don't seem to, at leastpublicly anyway. I don't know what you
bet privately, but you don't seemto be as invested when it comes to
sides, totals, k props, some of the things that will drive me

(15:26):
crazy on a nightly basis where youknow, where do you really specialize when
it comes to baseball? So probablya specialist on hitting props. I'm very
good at home run stuff I have. However, the last few days kind
of shifted my focus a little bittoo, to being a little bit more
on that picture side, kind ofrounding out some of these things. Oh,

(15:46):
I have to look, I ranvery hot first weekend, absolutely creams
in the following week, and I'vesort of resigned myself to actually taking hitting
props and throwing them on there, putting on their heads. I find certain
players that stink and then I finda way to fade them as part of
the hitting props. So hitting propunders are something that I have been leaning

(16:08):
into. Got killed by a JohannRojas legacy game tonight, which I don't
think anyone expecting from a guy hittinghitting, hitting, hitting, what a
seventy eight. But look if MicrowStemsky does nothing as he's done all season,
and we're in good ships to Iwhen you keeping an eye on that,
for sure, go ahead. Yeah, any any early season surprises for

(16:29):
you as anything just like caught youoff guard, whether it's like the hot
start by the Pirates who are nineand two right now, or even the
Red Sox who are seven and threewith their home opener tomorrow. So you
know, I don't want to bethat guy, But like I think I
might have mentioned it to Adam insome Texas. I like this Red Sox
team. I liked them beforehand,I didn't I couldn't get there. I

(16:51):
tried to shop around. I'm like, I do. I really want to
take them for the playoffs. Butthe thing is is that they got the
problem that they had last year isthat they didn't they all these guys they
got hurt and then they didn't reallyhave young guys. They didn't know what
they were doing in their team's doingwhat it's able to do right now with
really good pitching and costs. Hasn'teven really started hitting the ball yet,
and that guy's going to match thirtyhome runs. He has that kind of
feeling. I like this Red Soxteam a lot, and and the a's

(17:14):
hard as the Philly chance fait andthis Pirates team, like look, Pirates
started off very hot last year O'NeilCruz got hurt and then everything sort of
fell apart. I like that teamas well. I like them in the
central as some futures on them. They I think they also have a pretty
stocked minor league group of arms thatare going to be coming up. So

(17:37):
in terms of surprises, you know, I'm really surprised at how honestly bad
the Braves look for a team thatsteamrolled everybody and everyone said, oh,
this is it, this is them, Like specifically, I mean, I
know he's hurt, but Ronald Vicuniadoes not look good. He made a
swing and anything like that. Youknow, brands, I think Russ is

(17:57):
a Mets now. They were upfive to nothing. But that's probably my
biggest surprise is that the Brains lookextremely vulnerable. They are down eight to
six spaces loaded though for Atlanta,so there's an opportunity to pull ahead with
a couple out in the eighth. But let's circle back to the Red Sox
because, as Dan said, sevenand three, game and a half out

(18:21):
of first. Not that anyone's likestanding's watching at this point in time,
but New York the Yankees are nineand two. The Orioles are the ones
coming into Fenway here for Boston's homeopener tomorrow afternoon and to ish two o'clock,
two thirty whatever it is, twoafternoon, game to ten. We'll
see what time it actually starts afterall these ceremonies and everything. But the
the Orioles are, you know, they're off to a slow start, they've

(18:42):
lost their last couple, but they'restill good. We know who they are,
and they expect to be at ornear the top of the division by
the end of the season. TheRed Sox, though, you know,
there weren't really the big question cominginto the year was obviously they're pitching more
so in my mind than they're hitting, and they are doing both very well.
They're run differentially plus twenty six thesecond best in the American League at

(19:03):
the moment. They are dogs athome. You can get a plus one
sixteen out there on FanDuel right now? Is this this is me leaning into
narrative street. I just you know, you got the two thousand and four
curse breakers coming in and the bigceremony and honoring Tim Wakefield, and the
hot start out West Fenway's gonna bepacked. First game of the year.

(19:26):
They've played well, so there's gonnabe energy, everyone's gonna be enthused and
amped and all of that. Ilike the upset, but that's is Is
that just me with my heart versusthe right way to bet it? No?
I mean, look, you know, Brian Bellow is pitching tomorrow and
he obviously didn't do great in thisfirst start, but he keeps the ball

(19:47):
on the ground that those team hasstarted, you know, striking out a
little bit more. I think thatthe FACKS teams competitive. I like the
under in this game, you know, go figure out like and there's in
a lot of games. I thinkit's a very good pitching matchup. You
know there's not a lot of proplines out yet, but given the makeup
of both of these teams and justthe shape of Fenway, I would probably

(20:08):
look to to Gunner adly, possiblyas on the Oriel side, just because
you know, rightfield is like twohundred feet away for those guys who can
hit on the side of the place, and look, I keep hitting them
every single night because I like it. But I'm big on Trstan Cossus.
Like overall, just there's really like, you know, Raffie Devers can to

(20:30):
do what he's gonna do, butlike you know, Costs was I believe
the fourth or fifth best ops inbaseball starting in June last year, and
I don't think anyone holiday or realizeit at all. And he has he
might have one home run or Idon't think he'sld one year up, but
moving for him to bust out andlike taking one from Cormyn Burns deep,

(20:51):
it could be it. But Ilike what I like the socks tomorrow.
Overall, I really like the undergiven three to two games, you know,
with all narrative that's surrounding it,you guys are missing the most important
narrative though, And it's why Ilike Baltimore. It's Brian BeO during a
day game. Oh yeah, Imean, come on, guys, I

(21:11):
mean that it screw us more thana few times, staring you're right in
the face. I mean, yougot to take Baltimore here. I mean
Beo's day game e ra A lastyear was over seven. A guy from
Baltimore though, that I am goingto be looking to play is probably Cedric
Mullens. Great career splits against bo, great numbers f fen Way, and
he's also starting to hit the balla little more here as we get into
the season. Mullins is like,Mom's actually like, you know, if

(21:33):
anyone he's got the best, everyoneelse's below average on there, I'll probably
look at Mullins. But it's kindof impossible to not sprinkle on a Gunner
home run just because of just simplybased on you know, field dimensions.
Yeah, but uh, look,I mean it's it's curling the season,
so we'll see and by look, don't have got snow last week, guys,

(21:57):
so like we're not getting that tomorrow. Like it's really we might have
hitting weather tomorrow something reason later thisafternoon. So it was gorgeous, it
was, I'll give you one moreon this game here before we break at
him. What about Tyler O'Neill,What do you think of this hot start
five home runs he's doing with Adam. He's like one opping Adam Duval from

(22:17):
the first ten games last year andhad like four homers in nine games before
he like snapped his wrist or whateverit was. But what do you make
of O'Neill's start. I was he'sknew Adam Davall, Like, I love
it because Adam Devall is like riskinjury was really bad and but that's also
what Adam Duval does. I loveTyler O'Neill. He just kind of does
all that stuff. I think he's, you know, he's a better faster
version in terms of like what youhave on the basis than to you know,

(22:41):
probably like you know, justin Turnersthat he couldn't move, and uh,
I'm a I'm a big fan ofwhat Tyler O'Neil did. I overpaid
for I ever paid for a lotof Red Sox players in a Ale only
dynasty league that I'm in this weekendwhere we had notch drops led by Nick
Pavetta, who says a former PhillyI am you know, like I'm siming

(23:03):
his craises now now that he's noton the team. But yeah, I'm
really don't know what Tyler O'Neal isdoing. I think that's the thing is
that it's a very likable Red Soxteam, and Tyler O'Neill like, he's,
like, you know, coming froma Cardinals organization that like, up
until last year, it's a prettybig, winning organization from top to bottom,
in firm everything like that. He'sit's a good guy a having that

(23:26):
club out and on that team. We've got Adam Rosenberg here with us from
CTP Boston, also Outlier, talkingthrough tomorrow's Major League Baseball slate. All
right, that's probably enough on theRed Sox and Orioles. We have other
games to get to. We willdo that, including some spots that Adam
really loves when we return. Wehave Adam Rosenberg here with us from CTP

(23:51):
Boston and Outlier looking at tomorrow's MajorLeague Baseball slate while we keep an eye
on Yukon and Purdue and Adam wewere talking before about you know, you
mentioned the Braves being down to theMets. It's bottom nine down eight to
six. Right now, we'll seeif Atlanta can rally back even maybe even
tie this thing. But if not, let's just project out the loss here.

(24:11):
We know, as much as youhave not been impressed by the Braves
so far, Atlanta is a goodteam. The Mets not a good team.
There were a lot of people atleast a lot of people I pay
attention to in the industry that wereon not only Atlanta today because there was
no value in the money line, but on the Braves run line at minus
one and a half Tomorrow it's Lopezagainst Howser. That's the pitching matchup.

(24:34):
Again, it's a little bit narrativestreet the whole bounce back from a loss
type thing. But if Atlanta fallstonight, is that the spot that you
think maybe, okay, like thisis the rebound opportunity for Atlanta because you
can get plus money on the runline if you go with the Braves tomorrow.
So run lines are a little toughfor me to take for a home

(24:55):
team either way because you're not gettingyou know, yeah, you're getting an
that's right, so which makes ita little hough. But Lopez is starting
tomorrow for the Braves. He's apretty big fly ball pitcher, which is
not ideal at truest and but Imean so it's hazard. So if anything,
I think the first thing probably gonnalook at in this game the first

(25:18):
five over kind of look at whatthe what the weather is. But you
know, barring some craziness of liketwenty miles hour winds coming in, I
don't know. I'm not totally surethat this is going to be that kind
of The one good thing is thatthink the bullpens. I haven't looked at
the box or I'd imagine that thebullpen's pretty rest given that Atlanta just you

(25:40):
kind of just bounce the ball.It was just incredible, given that Atlanta
I was up five nothing. ButLopez is someone who I was looking to
state a little bit just because he'ssuch a heavy flyball pitcher. I think
there's a number of pictures to targettomorrow Adam and and especially that goes for
this Yankee Marlins game to between AJPuck, AJ puke, whatever you want

(26:02):
to call him. The way he'spitching right he's been terrible, and Carlos
Rodin has been not very good either. I don't just don't think this guy's
very good anymore. I know theMarlins are terrible, but is it worth
you know, sprin sprinkling something oneither them on the money line or you
know even you can get them atplus one and a half at minus one
thirty five or even the team totalthere. I mean, look, I

(26:22):
don't get the I haven't understanding thatthe obsession has been with aj Puck over
the last two weeks, where itseems like baseball Twitter. It's like it's
like baseball Twitter has their like herothat you know, he was really great
in college when he started, andit's like that's fable have been obsessed,
obsessed. They've been betting the Marlinswhen he pitches. They've been betting the

(26:44):
over on his cap props. Ithas been an obsession and me being the
you know idiot just following suit.I have lost money on this guy each
and every time he starts. Shouldprobably take the over on his walk prop.
He's got nine walks and six innings. Thanks. I but you know
the one guy who I am andand the thing is is about a lot
of these guys like for tomorrow. So a key thing that I look at

(27:07):
I always think at hard hit rate, and no one has an extraordinary mark.
It's only in the two starts threefor like someone like Glass now,
but no one has an extraordinarily badhard hit rate tomorrow. But there are
some guys, so I certain likethat I am looking at but but looking
at everything that aj Puck does andthen looking at Stanton and just Stanton.
For m Stanton, you know,he tends to hit home runs and bunches

(27:27):
and he hit a nuke like yesterdayand that just hasn't landed yet. You
know, a healthy reminded everybody inWRC plus, which is the ability to
create runs. Essentially it's a hunt. It's it's double regularly won last year
was eighty eight and then against lefthanders it's one fifty one. He's probably
going to send one to Mars,so you know he is. You know,

(27:49):
I'm looking at tomorrow that I anysinger Tuesday, So like honestly,
if you want a good option,probably that that's a good that's a good,
bigger Tuesday option. I would beputting something on John Carl Stanton,
but I'm not. You know, there's some other angles that I'm looking at.
There's just some I feel weird, just like I have some some sides.

(28:11):
I like, I have some onionsand things I like, but yeah,
like aj Pok skinks, and noone can convince me otherwise until he
shows me otherwise. You know,Dan, just because Adam brought it up,
you may as well launch into ithere a little bit. I guess
the term launch intended because you, sir, you are a big proponent of
Dinger Tuesday, and that is uponus. We are on the eve of
Dinger Tuesday. What uh you know, would would you like to throw something

(28:34):
specific at at him here? Asfar as the hit or prop I haven't
even gotten that befar yet. I'vejust been looking at pitchers that I want
to target. Between Mike Soroka, who hasn't looked good yet this this Toronto
and Seattle game tomorrow, Adam reallyjust kind of jumps out to me,
maybe an overspot here in this one. George Kirby has not looked good at
all to start this season. ChrisBassett is what he is. He's also

(28:56):
getting hit kind of hard here too. I think there could definitely be a
play in this game here in thedome. Yeah, the uh they like,
you know, bast that's I've beenvery very surprised with, just because
I didn't expect him to kind offall like he was. He looks terrible
coming out of the gate. Healso, you know, is not on

(29:18):
the road. He never has been, so you know, maybe things will
change a little bit tomorrow. Butlike there's a couple there's a couple of
guys who I turn. I mean, so Roka. It's funny because he
kind of team did a little bitbetter last week. A lot of ground
ball pitchers that are pitching tomorrow wherehe's technically one of them, But I
also still put him in that agentpuck category. I think he stinks the

(29:41):
thing that I'm looking at most inthat in that game though, Yeah,
I'm looking at that Guardians first five, and I am looking at that actually
in the under four and a half, I in that first five for them
in the White Sox, the Whitesactually just a menick when it comes to
hitting, and nothing on the Guardians, uh makeing confident that they're going to
be able to even take advantage ofSoroka. You know, while they have

(30:06):
like a much better overall team metricsagainst him, there's just bottom in you
know, OPS as a team. They're like, you know, White Sox
are bottom five and OPS. Bothof these teams neither of these teams to
hit, so I'll take an underfour and a half. It's sort of
similar to what we saw against theRoyals, which I do have some things

(30:29):
I like with that game as well. But yeah, that's the thing I'm
looking at for the for the Sorokagame. I'm looking at at an under
for that first five. You knowsomething that I do love talking to baseball
people people about and I think thereare just there are so many different ways
to bet baseball that I think exceedmost sports quite frankly in terms of just
the varied popular practices and props andand and just everything that's that's available to

(30:56):
you. The first five components baseball, There's there's so much variance, but
a large amount of the variants obviouslyis one the starter. Because obviously a
starter can make or break your day. But even if the starter does what
he's supposed to do, it's thebullpen. I mean, I can't tell
you, I've I've made this jokea number of times, but like,
if anything is ever going to turnme into a cash out guy, it
is betting baseball. Because the numberof times that I have lost, and

(31:19):
probably lost more than I have benefiteda great money line situation in the eighth
or ninth inning because the bullpen comesin screws it all up. Do you
prefer first fives just to at leastattempt to remove that from the equation.
Yeah, I mean, you know, when I can, I don't always

(31:40):
do the first sight, but whenI see something that a stronger angle is
built around, you know, thehitting and looks Soroka terribly once and then
didn't do this badly the second time, it's sort of like, you know,
then I just start kind of tryingto look at, you know how
some of these bullpens. But Cleveland'sbullpen, cleveland Bullpen's was buying. It's

(32:00):
been it's been good. I mean, you know, Pittsburgh has the best
bullpen in the majors right now, which is just kind of absurd. But
I'm followed by the Mets, bythe way. But for this one,
it was just about teams that theyknow can't really hit and the attributes within
that time period five innings that Iknow are pretty much controllable. But I

(32:22):
know, and I don't have theguests for later. One more here.
Sonny Gray is expected to make hisdebut against your Phillies. What do you
think of this one? Will havehad trouble all the time with the Cardinals,
got a great start and I gota set and Turnbull and they and
they want an extras. But Ilook, I like Sonny Gray. I

(32:44):
thought that Sunny gray metrics were great. I thought that he was of the
you know, the strange signings thatthey Cardinals did where it's almost like where
the Cardinals said, we're all inwith a mediocre rotter of aging guys.
I actually like Sunny Gray a lot, and so I do like the Cardinals
in this one. Tomorrow, allright, you got about twenty seconds.

(33:05):
What is your favorite play on theslate tomorrow? O favorite play on the
slate? It is gonna be theTigers Pirates verse five under four and a
half at plus money. We alllove a plus money bet kp mid Tiger's
is Brilliants is a lot bet MartinPerez is a lot better at home.
Tigers very similar to the White Sox. Six to worst WRC plus in the
league over the last week seven, the worst overall against leftanded pitching. Gives

(33:30):
me the under four and a halffor these teams, And uh yeah,
and it's that plus money too,So that's probably my favorite play out of
the gate. Adam Rosenberg from CTPBoston Outlier. He has multiple Twitter accounts,
Hey Rosenberg and the one that lookhe runs it unless you believe that
his children are social media prodigies babieswho bet. A lot of bets get

(33:52):
posted there. You should check themboth out. Adam, thanks so much,
but we'll talk soon. Thanks forhaving me. Guys gonna run into
them at the barbershop. I think, all right, well we come back.
It's going to be bankroll repairs forTuesday. It's time for your bankroll
repair powered by today's collision. Allright, let's give you some bankroll repairs

(34:15):
for Tuesday. Also, let's justfill you in on what happened over the
We haven't even really actually talked aboutwhat happened with our Thursday bets. So
we very quickly gave out a lotof plays. Because we gave out a
people's parlay in the first hour andthe second hour. It's a good old
fashioned football Thursday in a matter ofspeaking. So we gave out a people's
parlay for Friday, one for Saturday. The Friday one did not play out.

(34:37):
The Saturday one we hit. Hopefullyyour rolled with us. It was
a plus six hundred hit it withStuckey. It was the semi final game.
We were Purdue fans on that day. Obviously not today. Things change
like the wind around here when you'retrying to make money and you come at
the moment up fifty one thirty eightabout halfway through the second half. So
keep going doing exactly what you're doing, Huskies, and we will be your

(34:59):
best friends for for whatever that isworth. The Dan Hurley probably not much.
The bank roll repairs two out ofthree I hit, Dan hit and
Brian just got screwed. Man hisfinal leg. We were just talking about
it. He had the Vegas GoldenKnights who were up what was it,
Brian four to one, was fourto one going to the third and then
lost seven to four. That's justgross. It was unreal. Talk about

(35:25):
getting screwed. Yeah, the lastcouple hockey bets we've had have just like
been just unbelievable. That's what thecash up buttons invented for. I guess
no kidding, I mean talk aboutsomething going sideways. So we should have
swept there. We didn't. Let'ssee what we can do with the bankroll
repairs for Tuesday. What do youhave, Dan? All right, three
legs, guys. We got twoNBA player props or alt lines here for

(35:46):
these guys. We're going to JonteMurray over fourteen and a half points,
So de Jonta Murray fifteen plus FredVan Vliet ten plus points, and then
the Florida Panthers in the NHL onthe money line. You put those three
legs together plus one oh three DraftKings. So I'm gonna I'm gonna play around
a little bit. It's simple,It's it's a it's simple in theory.
It's a simple little two legger. Not getting wild here with this, but

(36:09):
it's baseball NBA. We're late inthe regular season. There's too much variant.
Stars are getting ruled out left andright, even to tackle teams with
you know, ten point spreads tomorrow. Who knows it can just it can
it can go bad. And sobaseball money line heavy favorites two teams,
the Braves looking for a rebound offthe eight to seven loss to the Mets

(36:30):
tonight, and yes, we areinvesting in the Yankees. Braves and Yankees.
I'm going after puke or puck orwhatever. I or yeah, he
might just be. I think theYankees are gonna get it done much as
it's easier to root for a teamwhen you got money on him, that's
for sure. So the Braves andthe Yankees money line parlay. It's plus
money everywhere. But I see plusone thirty four at multiple books, including

(36:52):
Fan Duel where I am placing thatbet. And so that is your bank
roll repair, two of them. For Tuesday. We will be back a
lot of NBA talk. Nick Whalonfrom Roada Wire is going to join us
next. That was your Bankroll Repairpowered by Today's Collision with locations involved in
Chelsea Stoneham and Dan Very. Checkthem out at Today's Collision dot Com.

(37:14):
The Gambler starts now here's Adam Kaufman. Hey, it's our number two of
The Gambler with Adam Kaffin here onWRKO again. Check out the podcast.
Wherever you get your podcast, justsearch that full name The Gambler with Adam
Kaufman. It'll pop up, ratereview. Most importantly, subscribe, make
some money with us. That's alwaysour goal, and we're working on a

(37:35):
plus April. That's you know, let's see if we can keep our momentum
going, but we are, we'reearly in the month. We're right around
even right now, but that canchange dramatically tonight if Yukon takes care business
does its job, and Nick Whalenjoins us from Road to Wire you can
get I'm not gonna do the wholething. You can get him on Twitter
at Whalon. It's one, notan l We've been through it. I
want advice from you two guys realquick. Brian, you could chime into

(38:00):
I don't want to leave you outbefore we get into NBA these next couple
segments and of people's parlay, allthat good stuff. So I have I'm
very invested in this basketball game goingon right now. But one of my
admittedly smaller bets compared to the others, that I just sort of kind of
threw a not a bonus bet atbut just a a I had a boost,

(38:24):
so I threw that at it.One of the legs, it's the
same game parlay with some lower achievements, and one of the legs is for
there to be at least one hundredand thirty three total points in this game.
We are sitting with five and ahalf minutes left, and we are
at one oh nine. I couldcash out for pretty close to what I

(38:46):
invested right now, do we thinkwe're going to hit one thirty three,
twenty four or more points? Right? Yeah? I don't know. Twenty
four more points and five and ahalf minutes. He's a lot of free
throw man as as we watch Purduemiss the wide open top of the key
three. Yeah, that's the thing. I think it's the free throws.

(39:06):
The key here is produd needs tokeep this within reason, and we know
where if you're down twenty two pointswith two minutes left, you're not following
correct. Yeah, and Yukon's runninginto some trouble up in the front court
too. Johnson just felled out.Klington's got four fouls, So if they're
smart, they're gonna start just feedingEdie inside. Nobody should be able to
contain them. I mean, he'sgot twenty six of their forty six points

(39:27):
right now. I would just justfeed the big man the ball. Well,
we as a show need Yukon towin by at least nine points,
right, which I realized at thismoment. You know that's but things happen
in a hurry, obviously, SoI'm just I have my eye on this.
I hate to take a loss onsomething so stupid as to figure.
I'm like, I looked at somany it's just prognosis, and probably was

(39:52):
at the four minute time out.I bet they probably take away the cash
out option. Yeah, I don'tknow. I mean, it's entirely possible.
I'm guessing. I think think that'swhat they do. I don't want
to be held liable for this guy. Listen, last Nick, last time
I told Adam to cash out wasbefore the AFC Championship game when he had
a chief Super Bowl ticket. Sowhatever I say, whatever I say,

(40:15):
Adam's going to do the opposite. We're one twelve, We're one twelve with
five minutes to go. Oh mygod, I'd say cash but that's just
me something I'll be keeping an eyeon here. But all right, well,
Wayland's here. No NBA tonight becausethe league foolishly decides to take the
night off to let the world focus, let the kids play, not a
nine to twenty pm start on theEast Coast. It's so dumb. But

(40:40):
nevertheless, that just means we havemore basketball to bet on tomorrow. Full
slate of games. It's awesome, including of course, I didn't even do
this on purpose. This just keepshappening. When you come on, it's
the Celtics and the Bucks. Youknow you're around Wisconsin. I didn't even
put that together until just now.But Celtics and Bucks. The only thing

(41:00):
is who the hell knows who's gonnaplay in this one? Like Giannis could
get ruled out, Dame Tatum Brown, Like the injury reports right now mean
nothing in these final few days ofthe regular season. So in general,
whether it's that game specifically or others, how are you navigating those waters and
attempting to bet basketball right now?Or are you just kind of waiting for

(41:22):
the playoffs? For the most part, I've been waiting for the playoffs.
I've been waiting for the playoffs fora while. Guys. Basically, once
the once the real bottom of theleague, you know, kind of started
pulling the plug, We've started tosee some some pretty you know, wacky
for lack of better term, scoreslooking at you Portland Trailblazers over these last
few weeks. I do think Bostonis almost in its own category right now,

(41:43):
because you know, Toronto's been inthis boat for a while. Charlotte
Washington, Detroit basically since day one. You know, Utah, They're started
to tag a little bit at thisPortland, San Antonio, et cetera.
But Boston is in the unique situationof, you know, obviously being a
good team, and you know, they have a fifteen game gap between themselves
and the Milwaukee Bucks, who aresigning up to lose to anyone and everyone
right now, including the Memphis Grizzlies. So it kind of becomes the classic

(42:07):
you know, rest versus rust debate, right that that we talk about either
in the NBA or you know infootball as well, where you know,
do you want to rest Jason Tatum, you know, for the final three
or four games of the season.Does that ultimately help him? Does he
want to stay in a rhythm?From a bank perspective, I mean it's
brutal, right, I mean, you basically have to wait until a half
hour or an hour before tip offbefore we get the actual confirmation. But

(42:28):
the nice thing is, if thereis a silver lining here, guys,
is that the bulk of the leaguestill has a ton to play for over
this next week, which is relativelyrare, right, I mean, you
look at the Eastern Conference right now, you know, Milwaukee is only two
and a half games away from fromthe sixty right now, and you know,
Billy's hot on the Pacers tail Miami. Really, the two through eight
spots could essentially be shuffled in athousand different orders. And you know it's

(42:52):
true in the West as well.We still have no idea who the number
one seed is going to be inthe Western Conference. It could be Minnesota,
it could be Denver, it couldbe Okay, see, it could
be any of those three team andthen you have kind of that second tier
of the Clippers and the Mavericks, and then a really interesting tier below that
where you know, the Lakers couldseemably could technically find their way out all
the way up to six or seven. In the Western Conference, you know,
the Kings have plenty to play for. So really, guys, it's

(43:14):
kind of been this batch of teamsthat you're either targeting or avoiding for most
of the season. And now youknow the Celtics that have started to cycle
in some rest over these last coupleof weeks. But for the most part,
you know, especially at a fourteengame slate, I mean, you
could find plenty of teams that havea lot on the line. So Nick,
I'm glad you mentioned the Lakers thatjust a moment ago, because that's
one of the first spots I'm lookingat. Tomorrow night, They're taking on

(43:36):
Golden State and Lebron James did notplay last night, so I'm assuming he's
going to play tomorrow. Twenty fourand a half is his points prop,
and he has just smashed this againstGolden State here recently sin seed started the
twenty twenty one twenty twenty two season, when Lebron has played at least thirty
minutes against Golden State, he isover this in six out of six games.
The one game he did not,he only played like twenty five minutes

(43:59):
in that one. But I thinkthis is just a money spot for Lebron
tomorrow night. He's got thirty sixand forty points in the two games against
Golden State so far this season. And as you mentioned, LA can still
play themselves out of the playing tournament. Yeah, yeah, you're right.
And I've been toying back and forthand with you know, do I just
take the Lakers minus one and ahalf to win this game? Now knowing

(44:20):
the Lakers, as somebody who youknow followed Lebron closely for a long time
and has probably watched more Lakers basketballthan any other team outside of Milwaukee this
season. The Lakers have a penchantfor, you know, making these type
of games more difficult than they needto be. So I actually like the
Lebron points prop call more than Ido taking the Lakers to win this game.
They are one and two straight upagainst Golden State the season. Lebron

(44:40):
did sit out one of those lossesthat was a blowout. They had that
crazy game back in January that wasin the one forties. Golden State won
a few weeks ago in La orexcuse me, that one was in Tan
Francisco. But I think you're rightabout Lebron, and there is something about
these these type of games, specificallyagainst Golden State. I know Lebron did
say whatever he wants. I thinkthere's still kind of that personal rivalry between

(45:02):
him and that franchise and Steph Curry, And like you said, the numbers
spared out. I mean, heshows up in these spots. And what
we've seen from Lebron and what we'veseen from this Lakers corps, not only
this season, but the last coupleof seasons is you know, they basically
need that they're back to be againstthe wall, to play as hard as
they need, especially Lebron at thispoint in his career. And if this
isn't the spot, I don't knowwhat is right, it would be massive

(45:23):
to you know not. I thinkgetting up to the sixteed pretty unrealistic.
You're gonna need a lot of help, but just get getting into that seven
or eight zone for the Lakers wouldbe here. So I'm with you,
man, I fully expect Lebron toshow out tomorrow night a spot that I
really like. And I considered usingthis as my parlay pick until I ultimately
playing it elsewhere, and we'll getto that in the next segment. I

(45:44):
really like the Knicks tomorrow in Chicago. In fact, two plays from this
game that jump out at me.It's the Knicks minus four. I played
them on the money line earlier today, yesterday, whenever it was when the
line was more advantageous. But it'sreally balloon to close to minus one seventy
now. But Nicks covering four inChicago, a team they just lost to.
But yeah, Josh Hart fouled outor got ejected from that game early

(46:07):
only played eleven minutes, usually playsnorth of thirty. It's a very important
game for the Knicks in terms ofseeding, as you outlined before. I
like the total in this one aswell. It's low one twelve and a
half. I'd go over that. What's your read on this this one here?
Excuse me? Yeah, this isone that I you kind of circle
as. Okay, It's meaningful forboth teams, right Chicago, if they
want to host what will be thesaddest playing game of all time against the

(46:31):
Atlanta Hawks, they need to keepwinning. I guess I guess you technically,
you know, rather be at homefor that game. You get somewhat
of a playoff revenue share for that, I suppose. I don't know if
either team really really cares all thatmuch. I think they know their fate
is likely sealed. But Chicago's onlygot a one game lead on Atlanta,
so you'd expectable to play this outas hard as they can. And like
you said, I mean, theNew York Nick's have plenty to play for.

(46:52):
I mean, they could conceivably passup Milwaukee and get that two seed.
They certainly could pass Orlando and finishedas the three. A little wary
of overbuying on the Knicks. Youknow, you think about yesterday, Oh
man, you know, ripped offa big win over a healthy Milwaukee team.
I just I don't even know whatbeating the Bucks means right now.
And you know, Chris Middleton exitedthat game early. Not not that it
would have necessarily swung that result, but I think this is a pretty good

(47:15):
spot for the New York Knicks. And having just lost to the Chicago team
that game, that game did gounder, but New York did not play
well. I think the Nicks viewedthemselves as a significantly better team than Chicago
and all year guys, you knowChicago, you think of them as man,
they're bottom five in pace. Youknow, they do play decent on
defense. Those numbers have started toevaporate since the All Star break. I
mean they're actually closer to the middleof the pack in terms of pace.

(47:37):
You know, the defense is startingto slow up a little bit for Chicago.
So this should be a good spotfor the Nicks. And the last
thing I'll say is, you knowKnick's injury report outside of the guys who
you know have been on it essentiallyall seasons, like Julius Randall is fairly
clean, whereas Chicago right now,Alex Caruso's questionable. I would assume Goo's
questionable. Kobe White is also onthe injury report, Nick, what have
you thought of a Joel embiid sofar as he's returned to action here and

(48:00):
I'll give you his prop tomorrow night. Twenty eight point twenty and a half
against Detroit. That's a number hehas just absolutely smashed in all three previous
matchups against the Pistons this season.Yeah, I mean, hard to believe
he's putting up numbers like that againstthat that doubts Detroit Piston's defense. But
no, I mean he's looked great, right, I mean, he's looked
fantastic through these first three games.Obviously didn't play yesterday against the San Antonio

(48:21):
Spurs. They were able to winwithout him. I think he looks like
the old mbat pretty much immediately, right. I think the OKC game was
the one where you're really wondering.Yeah, I remember talking about it on
NBA radio and I'm like, yeah, you know, maybe they'll they'll give
him eighteen to twenty two minutes.Like, no, they played him twenty
nine minutes, right, And probablyprobably wanted to play him more, and
I don't think it was coincidence. Two days later he played thirty three minutes.
You know, they had the blowoutagainst Memphis, so you certainly worry

(48:44):
about the blowout potential when it comesto this specific matchup. But and he
might be the number one guy inthe league guys where you know, you
know, played twenty three minutes, but it'll still give me thirty like he
did against Bemist Like he is thereason that they're blowing teams out and up
by twenty five through three quarters. So if that happens, I think you're
beat is probably hitting. And Ithink it's a pretty good spot man.
I mean, I'm never gonna tellyou to, you know, just to

(49:06):
avoid the Detroit diston when it comesto a points spot for embiid. And
I think the fact that he playedthirty three minutes against Miami, if this
ends up being a remotely close game, I think that's a really good sign.
Right we know that you know, maybe that ceiling is in the thirty
three to thirty five grains. NickWhalen is here from Road to Wire again.
Get him on Twitter at Whalen toone instead of an l We're gonna

(49:27):
have a people's parlay coming for youin the next segment, give you some
of our favorite plays for tomorrow aswe watch Yukon and Purdue. Yukon trying
to close this thing out and doso comfortably for us and for anyone that
bet the spread or alternate spreads, whatever it may be. Let's end Zach
Edy season. Dan Hurley, youwatch him on TV. This guy is
still just a complete psychopath even withhis team anyway seventeen, I love every

(49:51):
second of it. We will beback after this talking hoops Pro Hoops with
Nick Whalon from Road to Wire aswell as S XM NBA Serius XM Fantasy.
He's a hosts analyst, does abit of everything. I've been on
his show before. He's just avery you know, he's a good guy,
good guy. We just like havinghim on the show. He goes

(50:12):
way back with Dan as well. We're gonna talk to this college game Yukon
and Purdue coming up in a littlebit with Colby Dant as well. But
we were going to build out ourpeople's parlay here in this segment, try
and win ourselves and you money. On Tuesday. It's part of the goal
as always, but still exploring thisslate here that we have in front of
us on Tuesday, and again itis a loaded one. Let me ask
you, how do you feel nickabout these double digit spreads? Like there

(50:37):
are a lot of people that andwe would do this earlier in the season
when minutes rotations things like that weremore reliable than they are right now,
which well they will be you knowagain come to the playoffs. But you
know, we do these money lineparlays of heavy favorites. So tomorrow you
could be looking at the Pelicans, the Nuggets, the Timberwolves at home,

(50:59):
the Pacers, the Mavericks, theSixers, all of these teams are double
digit favorites. Now, one thingthat I will say the books have gotten
smart about or sort of caught upwith, is the lines on these The
money lines are so inflated that evento get an evil money bet, you'd
probably have to put like six ofthese together. There's just there's way too
much variants implied there. It's verylow ev it's not worthwhile. But do

(51:22):
these just become stay away spots foryou unless there's a game that you really
love the spread for the most part, Yeah, you know, you look
at Washington Minnesota tomorrow night, forexample, and that's that's sixteen and a
half, right, like that, that's a bridge too far for me.
You know, you can tell meon the Dallas Mavericks to you know,
cover eleven and a half on theroad at Charlotte tomorrow. You know,

(51:45):
the Pacers covering ten and a halfat just a terrible Toronto team. But
when you're what you're getting fourteen fifteen, sixteen, to me, that just
becomes a little bit too dangerous. And you know Washington specifically, you know
they've they've been covered lately. They'vebeen playing well again some decent opponents,
right, I mean, not onlydid they beat Milwaukee strayed up, they
played the Lakers closely, they playedthe Miami Heat closely. You know,

(52:06):
they beat Chicago, you know,a couple of weeks ago. It's not
a great team, but hey,you know that they're at least in the
middle of the pack. So Ithink it's really easy, especially at this
time of year, when you knowthe starting lineups can be borderline alarming,
right, you know some of theselineups that a team like Portland is thrown
out there. Scoot Henderson Ryan Repair, Chrismurray, Javari Walker, DeAndre Ayton.
But I think the other side ofthat is it's really difficult to quantify

(52:28):
it. In fact, I don'tknow that you can quantify it. Is
some of these teams just know they'regoing to win, or they know that
they having ninety five plus percent chanceto win this game going in, and
even though it's a huge one forMinnesota, I still think in the back
of your mind, it's, well, we're we're home against the Washington Wizards,
right, how bad could it possiblybe? And I think these teams,
especially early in games, and obviouslylate in games when starters are out,

(52:49):
you're always worried about the back door. But early in games, that's
what worries me, right, isif Minnesota and Washington it's like, you
know, twenty eight, twenty sevenafter one quarter, you're kind of up
against it at that point. Solong with his way of saying, in
general, I stay away in thesesituations. You try to find some motivational
edge, you know, one wayor the other team that has something to
play for. But it's really difficultwhen you're talking about a number north of

(53:10):
fifteen. Nick, I'll give youone more here. The Suns are seven
point favorites seven and a half onsome books. They're taking on the Clippers
at home tomorrow night. Kawhi Leonardsstill out tomorrow for the Clippers. Phoenix,
they're trying to avoid the play intournament. I think they're just barely
over that line right now. Andthe Clippers, meanwhile, they're pretty much

(53:30):
locked into that four spot out west. Is this is this a good spot
for Phoenix tomorrow night? I meanit should be, guys, it absolutely
should be with no Kawhi Leonard, but the Clippers that have been able to
compensate without him, you know,Paul Georgia has been playing out of his
mind over the last couple of weeks, and Phoenix, to me, they're
in that Lakers zone right where there'ssome of these games that you're like,
all right, this is the one. Here's your opportunity to show us that

(53:52):
you're for real, and then yougo and lose by you know, twenty
five to Oklahoma City like they didlast week, right, and even big
game on Sunday against New Orleans notfinding a way to win that one.
I mean, the Suns are justkind of running out of time, guys,
for to prove to us. Ithink that they're a legitimate contender now
if you're just looking at this gamespecifically, you know, Ken the Sun's

(54:12):
cover seven at DraftKings again, Ithink they should be able to at home,
specifically with no Kawhi Leonard, butbig a picture when it comes to
Phoenix, I'm just not really soldon this team, and I think on
the quipper side of things too, getting to the point where this maybe feels
like a little bit more more thanroutine maintenance for Kawhi Leonard, who historically
has a history of kind of breakingdown at this point in the season.

(54:34):
So we're gonna build out the people'sparlane just a moment here, but this
so Yukon is about to finish thisthing, and I did not cash out.
Fortunately we've hit one thirty five andchange. We'll see if we keep
building here. About thirty seconds leftin this game, Yukon is up seventy
five to sixty. What I don'tunderstand. I'm not complaining, I just
don't understand. It is like, what is Purdue doing fouling down fifteen points?

(55:00):
Like why are we bothering to putYukon at the free throw line?
And prolong this. Yeah, Idon't know, but I do have to
say though, it is just it'sI can't believe. I still can't get
over that Dan Hurley has his ownson as the human victory cigar. He
really does. It's incredible. It'smy favorite thing. It's amazing. And
he doesn't let him. I wonderif he's gonna let him shoot tonight.

(55:21):
He hasn't let him take a shotyet in the tournament. But it's awesome.
Good for Danny Hurley. Back toback. You're the repeat, by
the way, Chiefs and Yukon,Yeah, yeah, you're man. And
and we will also get to celebrateour three unit plus four hundred show Future
on Yukon pre tournament to win thechampions Region of Death. That's what they

(55:45):
all said, and yet independently allof us vision a Hurley. Oh my
god, it is amazing. Theylike they threw a graphic. We've talked
about this to some degree on theshow, but they they threw a graphic
up a little while ago on theCB broadcast that you know. Yukon obviously
lost five of its top eight scorersfrom last year, and still their margin

(56:07):
of points per victory improved their seed, you know, from four to number
one overall and just steamrolled the competition. This is going to be here as
this thing ends. I think it'sgoing to end at seventy five to sixty.
This is now what what did Isay? Four? No. Twelve
an NCAA record twelve straight wins inthe tournament by at least thirteen points.

(56:30):
Unbelievable. I mean, my god, I've never seen the team so dominant
that they can literally beat you anywaythat you want to play them. They
take your game and they just shoveit down your throat. It's it's unreal
there, It's yeah, I can'tbelieve it. But hey, love the
Love the Future hit for us.Well, we will do all of that
with Colby Dant coming up host theCollege Experience Sports Gambling podcast network in just

(56:54):
a little bit. But right now, Nick Whalen's still here with us as
Yukon celebrates on the floor, andwho knows how Dan Hurley's going to celebrate.
I mean this guy, I justah, all right, good stuff,
good stuff for the show. Let'stalk about the people's parlay, see
if we can keep that momentum goinghere. In early April, of course,
Nick has been here with us todo this before. In fact,

(57:14):
the last time he was with us, I believe we cashed the people's parlay.
So let's try and stay hot thereas well. We will offer each
of us a leg, Nick Danmyself and give you the best place to
play at, all your best options, all of that good stuff, and
like I said, hopefully it isa nice profitable tuesday. We will all

(57:35):
roll together. Nick knows that,so start us off, my friend,
what do you got all right?I was telling our guy Brian off Air
that I have two props that Ireally like, so I hope I choose
the right one here because this isobviously very important. I'm gonna take the
over twenty three and a half pointsfor Paolo Bangko of the Orlando Magic.

(57:55):
They are facing the Houston Rockets tomorrow. You can find that, according to
rodenwire dot com, is as goodas minus one o three at bett Rivers,
minus one ten at bet MGM,minus one fifteen at DraftKings. What
makes you really like this, bet, guys, is I think there's a
decent chance that Fronz Wagner ends upmissing this game. You know, rolled
his ankle the other night in theirwin over the Chicago Bulls, a win

(58:16):
in which Palo Bank Caro cleared thisnumber, by the way for the third
straight game, had an MRI.You know, they're Sandy stay to day.
They're listening to Questionable. Even ifhe plays, obviously, this dis
bet to be still has a prettygood chance of cashing. But if he
doesn't, I think this kind ofbecomes the Palo Bank Caro show for Orlando.
You look at the matchup against Houstonshould be a pace up spot for

(58:37):
the Magic. Houston has been theworst defense in the NBA over the last
five games. I know that's asmall sample, but they had been much
better, you know, over youknow, coming out of the All Star
Break in the early part of thatwinning streak, that started to fall off
over these last couple of games. They have a few injuries, and the
Magic, as we talked about earlier, they still got to go pedal to
the metal that they're fighting for thathome playoff series. Houston meanwhile completely eliminated.

(58:58):
They have really nothing to play atthis point. They don't even own
their first round pick. So Ithink this is a good spot for the
Orlando Magic going up against one ofthe worst recent defenses. In the NBA
Bangero over twenty three and a halfDan. So the listeners Adam Brian probably
already know this, but I'm gonnafill Nick into I am just purely addicted
to Clint Capella double doubles. I'maddicted to him, and he's had thirteen

(59:21):
of him in the last sixteen games. He's now averaging over a double double
a game this season, and hedoes not have one against the Miami Heat
yet. In the prior three matchups, he's missed all of those by just
one basket. He's had eight ormore points, and he's cleared the rebounds
in all of them. I thinktomorrow night he gets it against the Heat,
making it fourteen and seventeen games. So Clint Capella double double plus one

(59:43):
fifteen, FanDuel, I love that? Okay, love it? You like
it a lot one fifteen? Yep, Okay, it had it was when
you wanted to drop it, itdid drop. It's even money now that's
fine. Just which is you know? Fine? Look, we'll give We
gave it out earlier on the appat plus one fifteen. We tracked plus
one fifteen, but I will tellpeople that currently, like if you waited

(01:00:07):
a few minutes to place it likeI did. It is even money now
my play. I'm what can Isay? I'm leaning into the narrative,
but I'm just not going to goagainst them on opening day the Red Sox.
I'm going Red Sox plus money onthe money line. You can go
to FanDuel there as well plus onesixteen. We talked about it earlier with
Rosenberg. They're a good team. They are, at least right now.

(01:00:28):
A good team doesn't mean they won'tsuck down the road, but right now
they are a good team. Baltimoreis struggling a little bit, and I
love the energy that's going to bein the ballpark. The tributes obviously to
those we have lost, most notablyTim Wakefield obviously and his wife, and
Larry Lukeno. And then you haveupwards of forty people that were associated with
the curse breaking two thousand and fourWorld Series Championship team that will be in

(01:00:52):
attendance part of a pregame ceremony. The game probably won't start until four in
the afternoon, even though it's scheduledfor two ten, because that's how the
ceremony work at Fenway. But damnit, we're gonna play the Red Sox
so Red Sox money Line, ClintCapella double double and Paalo Bancaro over twenty
three and a half points. Sothe best place we can get all those
numbers, Brian says, is plussix sixty five on ESPN. But I

(01:01:15):
will ask you, because it's yourleg Nick, if we go to twenty
four and a half on ban Carofan Duel has plus seven fifty five.
Oh boy, man, I thinkwe gotta fire You don't like it,
well, if we don't like it, will you gotta fire it up.
It's up to you. If youdon't like it, we'll stay at ESPN.
We don't need to chase. Isay we fired up. If he

(01:01:37):
finishes that exactly twenty four points, that's on me. Okay, well,
well we'll still play obviously the theBancaro straight at twenty three and a half.
But for the parlay, yeah,Van Duel, it is Whalen.
Thanks buddy. Always enjoy when youhop on. Hey any time, guys,
always fun talking with you. Havea good rest of the show,
all right, I appreciate that again. Get Nick Whalon from Rotal I are

(01:02:00):
on Twitter at Waylan it's wha thenumber one e N when we come back.
Hey here, Yukon won the championship. We're gonna talk about it with
Colby Dant from the Sports Gambling podcastNetwork. So, Dan, I'm not
complaining obviously about hitting my leg minustwo and a half for Yukon the second
half, which proved to be rathersweat free. But the thing that I

(01:02:20):
blew, I screwed up. SoI played it personally with the fan duel
boost, so I was able totake that thing up to plus I don't
know, one fourteen or whatever itwas. Yeah, I did the same.
I got it to one all five, but I I didn't do it
for the show. Well can Iguess we can't really do that Rich inspect.
We didn't tell people to do it. But that's not that's too bad.

(01:02:43):
We lost. We lost a fewthere, the little percentages of the
unit. That's unfortunate. But whatwe did do is cash the pre tournament
plus four hundred three unit future onYukon to win the title, and man,
let let's get into this here withColby Dant is a frequent guest of
this show. We love having himon. He hosts the College Experience with

(01:03:05):
the Sports Gambling podcast Network, gethim on Twitter at the Colby d Colby
Yukon ultimately steamrolls Perdue seventy five tosixty. Bet this a lot of different
ways, and I think I mayhave swept across the board. It like
I may have had the best gamblingnight of my entire life on this game,

(01:03:27):
this specific game. And the thingis, though, like I don't
say that in a boastful way.I say it because I'm probably not alone.
I mean, this Yukon team wasjust a cash cow for people,
if not during the regular season, certainly during the tournament. Is Yeah,
as long as you accepted fate, which or destiny or whatever it felt like

(01:03:52):
this was with this Yukon team.It was like, I'm just I'm not
stepping in front of that bus,get away and just let them do their
thing and you made money. Howimpressed are you that that? I don't
know how often the number one overallseed, you know, has such high
hopes and actually lives up to,if not exceeds them. Yeah, I

(01:04:13):
mean, this is one of thegreatest runs we've ever seen. I mean,
you know, I was on yourshow and I took I had a
ticket for Purdue plus seven and Ithought they could hang in the game,
but I definitely took you cod secondhalf and I was on the under and
it was just Danny Hurley I thought, also out coached Matt Painter. I
mean, some of that goes tothe Purdue guards, but this is an

(01:04:36):
unbelievable run. I mean, tobeat them the way they beat Perdue,
who had essentially been beating everyone, you know, pretty bad themselves, you
know, the six championship and whattwenty five years here's remarkable. It's unbelievable
that three different coaches have been ableto do it, but specifically this Danny
Hurley run, It's like nothing Ican ever recall. Really. I mean,

(01:04:59):
I know you had floor than Duke, but they were this dominant in
my opinion, you and the onlyteam that was this dominant was UNLV,
who got upset by Duke the secondtime they played him in the final four
there. But yeah, I've neverseen anything like it, and kudos to
them. And I'm a bit surprisedstill at the way the game played out,
but I'm not surprised that Danny Hurleymake great adjustments than Matt Painter didn't.

(01:05:23):
Yeah, Kolby, the thing thatjust impresses me the most about Yukon
is that they just take whatever styleof game you want to play and they
just shove it right down your throat. They literally beat you at your own
game, and they kind of laughat you while doing it. Tonight,
they tonight they let Zach Ed prettymuch get whatever he wanted. He had
thirty seven of their sixty points, and then they keyed in and make sure

(01:05:44):
that everybody else couldn't beat him,And it was just it was just wild
to see just how they do thisgame in and game out this year.
Yeah, and they got so likethe second half, even at half time,
I'll be honest, like yu Kinwas up six, but I didn't
feel like they were up six, like and like watching the first half,
I kind of thought it was likea wash, but it was like,
hey, you comes up six, that's a testament to this team. And

(01:06:08):
then the second half, I justthought Danny Hurley, did you know?
And Danny Hurley drives me crazy too. I mean, like his the way
he's like a fifth grader with withthe with the refs, but he's such
a great coach. I can't talktrash to him, you know, like
it bothers me when I see himoverly complain. But he's a such a

(01:06:29):
good basketball coach and I thought oneof the best things he did. You
saw it on two alley ups withSamson. You also saw it on the
release with Caravan. Uh. Hemade them have to defend like kind of
like blindly through the back door. And that was an adjustment for dude,
never really adjust to. If wewere still playing, I think that would

(01:06:50):
be open. I know Samson foundout, but you know, that was
a huge part of it. Butalso obviously the guards, Yukon's guards eate
produce guards up. And this iswhere I will give Matt Painter a hard
time is that they Perdue only shottwo threes the first half. Uh,

(01:07:13):
that can't happen. Coming in withmy game plan was, you know,
like for for Fordue to cover. You know, I knew Yukon had the
guard edge, but I didn't thinkthey had it this much. I thought
Perdue would be able to hit someopen threes. They did not. They
didn't even attempt them. Even whenthey got decent looks in the first half,
they didn't even attempt them. Anduh, they just got dominated.

(01:07:34):
In my opinion from a from fromthat to me had to do with the
coaching, and also Tristan Newton sucha savvy vet and Cam Spencer just you
know, put the guy wherever andhe's got to produce and uh yeah,
just unbelievable. Just just an unbelievablejob by the guards of Yukon. I
think that's really where they won thegame well. And you and I talked

(01:07:56):
about it over the weekend, theconcern about the lack of adjustments from Painter,
but as as Dan mentioned, youknow, the ability that Yukon has
to just beat you in so manydifferent ways. The thing that I sort
of felt like from a from abetting perspective, from someone you know,
has invested heavily in in Yukon winningthis game, covering the six and a

(01:08:17):
half, the minus two and ahalf in the in the second half,
Purdue's team total under Yukon going youknow, over all these different things that
that we were looking at. Imean, it's rare that you can kind
of you hit them all. Butthe thing about this Yukon team is that
it just, I don't want tosay it felt like they were playing with
Purdue in the first half so muchas in the second half. We just

(01:08:41):
saw Edie and those guys tire herout a little bit. I mean,
Edie doesn't come off the floor, whereas Yukon just they they just have a
next wave, a next level wherethey can just keep hitting you and hitting
you and hitting you, and there'sthere's just no relenting. There's there's no
easing up, no taking your footoff the gas, whatever addage you want
to use there. They just they'rethey're They're not like an NBA team or

(01:09:04):
anything like that, but they areabove the line. They are above the
level of competition that they are playingat. Yeah, and you know that's
something else we talked about in yourshow. Yukon came into the game three
hundred and fourth in pace in thecountry out of three hundred and sixty two
teams. I I even I thinkI mentioned this on your show, saying
it's going to be interesting to seeif Dan Hurley runs, because I think

(01:09:27):
that's their advantage, and they certainlydid tonight. I thought Purdue looked tired
even in the first half, soI think that played a role the athleticism
there. And then I mean,I still can't believe whether it's Danny Hurley
defending the three well with his team. You know, Purdue shot forty three's

(01:09:48):
the previous two games. They're averagingtwenty a game the past. You know,
sweets throughout the Sweet sixteen and onthey shot seven tonights Like that is
remarkable. Like I think some ofthat is defense. I also think or
majority of that is defense. Buta little bit is that Purdue didn't shoot
the open shot. They played alittle scared. But in general, Yukon

(01:10:11):
Danny Hurley's there's not many that cancoach better than him, if not anybody.
I mean, maybe you build thecase for Rick Patino with his history
or something, but besides that,I in game adjustments and just game plans.
In general, he's he's the kingof it. So let's do a
really really really really early look aheadhere. Colby plus fourteen hundred for the

(01:10:34):
Huskies to three pt. You takenit six unit plus. I mean right
now, I mean wait, so, I mean we know Kling is gone,
though, I mean I had somepeople, some people text me,
is he coming back? It betterbe a hell of an n nil deal
if he uh if if if hecomes back. But I would bet against

(01:10:59):
it just because it's now. Itnever happens. But you might as well
sprinkle it right, especially if you'rea Husky fan. Yeah, the only
ones with better odds Duke's at plusone thousand, and then North Carolina's also
at off at fourteen hundred. Itell you, I like you Cup better
than Duke and Carolina's chances. Kobe, we got you a couple more minutes
here. I just want to hiton what obviously happened yesterday, John Calipari

(01:11:24):
leaving Kentucky for Arkansas, which isjust InCred Like I haven't even thought about
Arkansas since Corlis Williamson played there, and now John Calipari is going to be
the head coach. What is Imean, what's the future at Kentucky?
Most notably, I mean, Iguess what kind of success do you think
Calipari's gonna have at Arkansas? Butalso I mean it's Dan Hurley going to
jump ship. Could could I,you know, live out my dream and

(01:11:45):
get Rick Patino back at Kentucky? Is it gonna Who's what is this going
to look like here? As faras what you believe, this is great
for the sport in my opinion, like it look, I think both bases
are happy Kentucky didn't pay thirty fivemillion dollars to get Cali Party to leave,
but at the same time, theydefinitely wanted to move on from Calipari,

(01:12:10):
and rightfully so college basketball changed overthe ten years he was there,
and you know, he was mighthave been a little over ten years,
but you know, he never adjustedto college basketball, And I'll bring that
up for tonight's game too. LikePurdue only brought in Lance Jones and the
portal, they should have gotten betterguards around Zach Edy. I know Edie,
you know, technically could come backfor the COVID year next year,

(01:12:33):
but I don't think he is.They had Edie and they never really helped
him out much. Whereas you lookat what Danny Hurley does, going to
get Cam Spencer, going to getTristan Newton, going to get some other
guys from the previous team, Thatis what you should be doing in college
basketball. Yes, recruiting matters, but you should be mixing the talent levels.

(01:12:56):
And Calipari failed at that, andhe's really failed at that. And
I think coaching matters more now thanit did in college basketball fifteen years ago
because the shoe companies were basically backing, you know, ten to fifteen teams
and it was just all talent.Well now you know you can face teams
like Oakland where you got a shootingguard's thirty years old, you know what
I mean. So it's just adifferent game. And I'm fascinated to see

(01:13:21):
where Arkansas goes with this because Istill think of cal Pari. You know,
he's friends with the Typans Chicken peoplefrom what I understand back to his
Memphis days. You know, theycan step up their nil and bring in
some talent. But I also thinkhe's to step up his own coaching and
take a strong look in the mirrorbecause it's not the way you win in
college basketball now. And maybe it'sthe Italian food in Arkansas too. Here

(01:13:45):
it's great. Maybe that's what's soldhim. I'm joking, but we've got
like thirty seconds on the next Kentuckycoach. What do you think? I
think Bruce Pearl and Nato it's alreadyremoved himself from the name. I hope
it's Rick Patino, but he's ivytwo years old by the time the season
starts next year. I think BrucePearl's the guy for the job, all
right, Colby dan to you know, check him out. We're gonna be

(01:14:08):
signing off in a few minutes. He's gonna be firing up a live stream
over there the College Experience Sports Gamblingpodcast network, Sean Green, who's been
on the show a number of times, and others. Make sure you check
it out. Get Colby on Twitterat d Colby. D Colby. Thanks
so much, man, it's beena really, really fun you know,
having you on for college football, college basketball just means next time around college
baseball, college World Series, allthat good stuff. So we'll talk to

(01:14:30):

Huskies. Man, appreciate you.Guys, lett me come on your show
