Speaker 1 (00:00):
Time for Nina's what's trending?

Speaker 2 (00:01):
How would you like to have a little twenty twin twin,
like somebody that looks exactly like you, talks like you,
things like you, everything, like a real twin twin oh one?

Speaker 3 (00:10):
When I was younger, maybe yeah, maybe younger maybe now
probably not, but younger I ve for sure, because then.

Speaker 1 (00:15):
You could do you know, you could fool people and
things like that, the tests or vice versa.

Speaker 2 (00:19):
Well, I mean that still could happen, but if you
wanted it now, I'll tell you how that could be reality.
Absolutely not like a twenty twin twin. We're not just
making that up out of nowhere. Well it's not out
of nowhere. I'll tell you where it's coming from in
just a second. But first, this is really cool. Remember
Chadwick Boseman, Black Panther actor, Yeah he passed, Yes he did, Yeah,
he did pass. But he is posthumously receiving a star

(00:41):
on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. On November twentieth. He
will be receiving his star. His widow will be the
one there to actually accept the award, and director Ryan
Coogler and actress Viola Davis are going to be scheduled
to speak at the event to honor him.

Speaker 1 (00:55):
Yeah, she's amazing.

Speaker 2 (00:59):
Yeah, something else you might love if you're a fan
of Friends or know anything about Friends. In the Central
Perk Coffee House. It's coming. So they've had, you know,
those experiences travel all around the country, but now there
is going to be not an experience, an actual coffee
house posted up in Times Square in New York City.

Speaker 1 (01:18):
Wide Time Square.

Speaker 4 (01:19):
I feel like it's so such a busy area.

Speaker 2 (01:21):
But because it's a tourist trap, so why not put
it in the heart of the tourist traps.

Speaker 1 (01:25):
That's opening you can go to Yeah, that's open, so crowded.

Speaker 2 (01:29):
To go to it. You're probably gonna wait for a
while because it opens on December fifth, So maybe December fifth, twenty.

Speaker 1 (01:35):
Twenty nine, it might be able. I could get in.

Speaker 2 (01:37):
There and check it out. But they do plan on
having a lot of friends nostalgia in there. But it's
going to be a little bit different. It's reimagined, but
it's still Central Perk Coffee House.

Speaker 1 (01:47):
That sounds very fun.

Speaker 4 (01:48):
But when I think of that coffee house, and I
didn't fully watch like all the seasons of Friends.

Speaker 1 (01:53):
When I think about it, I think of like it's.

Speaker 4 (01:55):
A cute, chill coffee house you can go, do work,
hang out top with your friends. That sounds like putting
it in Central Wait. Putting it in Times Square sounds
like a madhouse. Sounds like a lot of people with
their phones out with they're not talking to anyone, barely
buying coffee.

Speaker 1 (02:10):
Yeah, who cares.

Speaker 2 (02:11):
It's instagrammable and these people are gonna be making all
the money.

Speaker 1 (02:13):
Off of it. I guess. So that's what you're bad.
They're doing it. They're getting their bag.

Speaker 3 (02:17):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (02:18):
I mean just to even be able to afford any
real estate in Times Square, they need to get their
bag to be able to stay in the business.

Speaker 1 (02:24):
True.

Speaker 2 (02:26):
Okay, well you can send your twin to go stand
in line for you, and then you could just like
swap please, right, you can have a twenty for a
lot of things. I don't feel good go to work
for me Friday. So I don't know if you guys
ever saw the show Black Mirror. There's one episode I
happened to see and it happens to be what this is.
And we've talked about it kind of before. But there's
a company that just raised ten million dollars to create

(02:47):
digital AI copies of people, so they'll be able to
create someone or an AI version of a person that
looks like you, sounds like you, thinks like you.

Speaker 4 (02:58):
Wait, we raised ten million dollars to go into AI
to create a duplicate of someone else, right, we don't
want to put that money towards curing cancer or something.

Speaker 1 (03:11):
Say it louder, Say it louder. Bro Yeah, I don't.
I wonder what everything else has been figured out.

Speaker 2 (03:19):
It's fine of ourselves, but you don't.

Speaker 1 (03:22):
Have to freeze your head.

Speaker 2 (03:23):
You have a duplicate of yourself, then your head doesn't
have to get for as anymore. You know, you can
rest in peace and your duplicate can just go ahead
and run around.

Speaker 1 (03:30):
You live your life, then you die, like you don't
need to freeze. Maybe not? You know, if you could
create another one of yourself and AI and maybe you
could live forever. Bro, it is wild.

Speaker 2 (03:38):
I do wonder what the motivation is, Like I would
really like to talk to the person that like came
up with all of this and plans on creating it,
Like why right? They have to have a better reason
than just I want another met Yeah right, I don't.

Speaker 3 (03:51):
Maybe not there are some people that are like that,
you know, They're just like there needs to be many
more of me all around for people to enjoy, and
I need to be a It'll last forever because this
world is always going to need me.

Speaker 1 (04:03):
I'm just which is dope. Everybody should feel that way
about themselves.

Speaker 3 (04:08):
Feel very confident and you are important and everybody's different
and all that kind of stuff. But honestly, like I
think if I'm not here, time will go on, you
know what I mean, like it's all.

Speaker 1 (04:16):
Good, you know, like a different like another person.

Speaker 3 (04:19):
Another one kind of like that, you know, but like
I'm not letting like you know what, this world is
never gonna want to be without this smile.

Speaker 4 (04:28):
Technology or anything like that.

Speaker 3 (04:30):
But I just would want to read or like people
who are super narcissic, just in there and talk to
themselves in they all day, like how are you man?

Speaker 1 (04:36):
You're great? I know I'm great too, were both great?
Are you do? I love you too? Yeah? I know
that's uncomfortable, but that is what's trending. Why I kind
of want one though. Yeah see you

Ruthie's Table 4

Ruthie's Table 4

For more than 30 years The River Cafe in London, has been the home-from-home of artists, architects, designers, actors, collectors, writers, activists, and politicians. Michael Caine, Glenn Close, JJ Abrams, Steve McQueen, Victoria and David Beckham, and Lily Allen, are just some of the people who love to call The River Cafe home. On River Cafe Table 4, Rogers sits down with her customers—who have become friends—to talk about food memories. Table 4 explores how food impacts every aspect of our lives. “Foods is politics, food is cultural, food is how you express love, food is about your heritage, it defines who you and who you want to be,” says Rogers. Each week, Rogers invites her guest to reminisce about family suppers and first dates, what they cook, how they eat when performing, the restaurants they choose, and what food they seek when they need comfort. And to punctuate each episode of Table 4, guests such as Ralph Fiennes, Emily Blunt, and Alfonso Cuarón, read their favourite recipe from one of the best-selling River Cafe cookbooks. Table 4 itself, is situated near The River Cafe’s open kitchen, close to the bright pink wood-fired oven and next to the glossy yellow pass, where Ruthie oversees the restaurant. You are invited to take a seat at this intimate table and join the conversation.
