Toby and Chilly Mornings on demand on ninety seven point
one wash M.
Speaker 2 (00:05):
Are you feeling good this morning? Toby and Chilly in
the morning. It's ninety seven point one wash FM. Good buddy,
gonna welcome to a brand new day in the nation's capital.
Feels good today to know that I've maintained the organization
in my home and closet. I even got some laundry
done yesterday. Yep, it's only been a few days, but hey,
a few days is a few days more than a
(00:26):
few days one I didn't, So you know what, little
things are reasons to be happy. What about you this morning?
Speaker 3 (00:32):
I'm good that the work stoppage on the Beltway did
not last as long as the last time.
Speaker 2 (00:37):
What's that all about?
Speaker 3 (00:39):
Okay, in the morning, so you would think that if
you're driving anywhere to something in the morning that there's
absolutely no traffic. That hasn't been the case on the
Beltway where there's construction overnight, and sometimes when they do construction,
they literally stop traffic. Yeah, for you don't know how long,
that's the big question mark. Yes, so today, please, stoppage
(01:01):
only lasted about five minutes, and sometimes it could go
up to twenty to thirty men. Anyway, I'm glad that
the stoppage did not derail the flow of my day
as much as it could have.
Speaker 2 (01:12):
There, you go, it's little things that bring joy in
the morning. And I want to point out that she's
driving into Rockville from Northern Virginia over near Tysons. Correct,
So you've got to go over the river, through the
woods across the bridge. Yes, And you know, people like
like me have it kind of unfair that I like
to do as I shoot down like back roads and
there's like fifteen different back road ways to work. So
(01:34):
knock on wood. I've never encountered a road closure or
work stoppage, but I have on like ninety five before
traveling to places in that Yes, stinks, it does stink
well anyway, and.
Speaker 3 (01:48):
You wonder, who are these people I gotta go to work?
What are all of you doing out this?
Speaker 2 (01:53):
Yeah? You know, you know it's a problem. And you're
the only car in between a bunch of eighteen wheelers.
You're like this, tucks.
Speaker 3 (02:01):
The eighteen wheelers are the only ones I get, But
all these other regular cars, I literally am like, I really.
Speaker 4 (02:08):
Want to know who are in these cars?
Speaker 2 (02:09):
People who left really early in the morning to get
to work because of work stoppages. Fun hopefully you haven't
found yourself in a work stoppage. We're Toby and Chilly
in the Morning here at ninety seven point one WASHFM.
Yesterday we were talking about outrageous things you've been charged
when you move out of a place that you're renting
or leasing. And Chelsea from Lorton has whacked the talkback
(02:32):
microphone and she has a few things she wants to
share about the conversation from yesterday. If you missed it,
we'll recap it and we'll talk to Chelsea and Lorton
coming up in just a feel. You are waking up
with Toby and Chilly in the morning. It's ninety seven
point one WASHFM at eight sixty six ninety two, seven
forty three sixty one yesterday. If you missed it, we
were talking about this.
Speaker 3 (02:51):
Old woman who died and her apartment complex charged her
kids nearly sixteen thousand dollars because she broke the lease.
Speaker 2 (03:00):
I'm dying, Yes, that's the idea. Yeah, she really maliciously
broke the least. Chelsea and Lordon, what happened to you?
You got hit with some charge when you move down.
What happened? Who are these people gonna go rough up
for you?
Speaker 3 (03:11):
My apartment actually caught on fire. I lived in a.
Speaker 2 (03:14):
Hotel for two months and I still have.
Speaker 3 (03:16):
To pay rent?
Speaker 4 (03:17):
What?
Speaker 3 (03:18):
Yeah, me and my son were in a hotel for
two months.
Speaker 2 (03:21):
I don't understand that at all. That makes no sense
to me.
Speaker 3 (03:24):
Were you guys responsible for that fire by any chance?
Speaker 4 (03:28):
Is that why?
Speaker 3 (03:29):
Nope?
Speaker 1 (03:30):
Nope, completely unlivable.
Speaker 3 (03:33):
You could see the top of the roof with all
the insulation and beams.
Speaker 2 (03:39):
And they said, and yeah, you're still gonna have to
pay us your rent every month?
Speaker 3 (03:42):
Yes, yep, for about two months. And did anything or
anyone cover the hotel stays during those two months?
Speaker 4 (03:48):
Chelsea?
Speaker 1 (03:49):
Oh not at all.
Speaker 3 (03:50):
Now my relationships ended failing because of this situation.
Speaker 2 (03:55):
Question though, isn't like there a landlord tenant commission you
can go to where you live and like raise some
haites as it were? Yeah, but you know, at one
point it became not worth it. I don't know. I
don't know what your rent is a month, but that's
potentially a lot of money in rent. Oh, for sure,
I would go down swinging.
Speaker 1 (04:14):
Yeah. I mean this was years ago. But let them learn.
Speaker 3 (04:17):
Did you ever move back into that apartment after they
fixed it up?
Speaker 4 (04:20):
Oh?
Speaker 2 (04:21):
No, I ended up getting a different apartment that probably
like a mile down the street. Did you have to
like use your insurance money to get everything like replaced?
Speaker 1 (04:30):
Oh?
Speaker 2 (04:30):
Yes, absolutely, yeah, they see they should be on the
hook for some of that and some of that insurance.
That's not even right now.
Speaker 3 (04:37):
It makes me maybe that's a cautionary tale for people
to read the fine print. If there's a fire in
the apartment building, you're still gonna be charged for rent.
Speaker 2 (04:47):
And even if you are charged, raise up, don't go
down like Chelsea and Lorton.
Speaker 1 (04:52):
Yes, thanks guys, there.
Speaker 2 (04:53):
Goes Chelsea and Lorton. And if you've got some thoughts
or maybe you want to jump in about some sort
of rent charge you got when you went to move out,
feel free to do so. The talkback microphone open. If
you're sign into your app, you'll see a microphone with
red circle pres it speak We love hearing your stories
at ninety seven point one Wash FM. Inspiration You need

the morning. It's ninety seven point one Wash FM, and
it's time on this Tuesday morning to talk about you
and your mindset.
Speaker 3 (05:27):
And your morning mindset is going to be set with
a quote that we found for you.
Speaker 2 (05:30):
All right, Mike Dooley says, for you, life is not
about expecting, hoping and wishing. It's about doing, being, and becoming.
To Mike Dooley, who says to you and to I
this morning, life's not about expecting, hoping and wishing. It's
about doing, being and becoming. Don't expect things to happen.
They won't. Don't hope that things will happen. That's not
(05:53):
helpful wishing. Okay, I'm all about a good wish. But
you know what, be about doing and being and becoming
today and watch what happens for you. That's your morning
mindset for this Tuesday. Hopefully it helps. If it does,
share it with someone you can find at the Toby
and chilipage. Washefm dot com coming up in a minutes

Speaker 3 (06:18):
Well, Mariah Carey mourning the loss of two family members
this past weekend.
Speaker 4 (06:23):
We've got more details on the way.
Speaker 2 (06:25):
Let's go with your entertainment news. We call it showbiz
Buzz ninety seven point one WASHFM, Chili. You've been keeping
up with everything happening in the world low entertainment, in
the celebrity world. What's going on this morning?
Speaker 3 (06:36):
Mariah Carey is mourning the loss of two family members
this past weekend. Her mother and sister both passed away
on the same day. Mariah said her heart is broken
after a tragic turn of events, but there is no
cause of death for either woman. The rumors they turned
out to be true. The British rock band Oasis is
(06:57):
reuniting after they broke up in two thousand and nine
by brothers Liam and Noel Gallagher, who's well publicized feud
has kept them apart for fifteen years. They've assigned on
to play fourteen shows in the UK and Ireland next year.
Look Lizzo hasn't released an album since twenty twenty two,
and it's gonna be a while before we hear from
(07:17):
her again. She shared on social media that she's taking
a break from the music business, and alongside a video
post on Instagram, Lizzo wrote, I'm taking a gap year
and protecting my piece Tom Cruise reportedly has a body
odor issue. Sources say that friends have complained that Tom's
(07:39):
not doing anything to resolve the problem, and even Olympians
say Tom had really bad bo when he was visiting
Paris last month. And finally, the story of rock and
roll legend Richie Valens is heading back to the big screen.
Sony Pictures is developing a remake of the Golden Globe
nominated nineteen eighty seven film La Bamba. Valens died at
(08:02):
the age of seventeen in a plane crash, along with
Buddy Holly and the Big Bomper.
Speaker 4 (08:06):
And that's your show, Bisbuzz.
Speaker 2 (08:07):
You know it's interesting you say that about Tom Cruise.
I interviewed Mimi Rogers. Is that her name once? His
ex wife? Yeah? Mimi Rogers said the same thing. Mmm mmm.
Ninety seven point one. Watch FM TIB and Chilly in
the Morning, The News on the Way, Top Stories at

Speaker 1 (08:32):
Stories, top of the hour.
Speaker 3 (08:33):
Former President Trump is questioning why he should debate Vice
President Kamala Harris on ABC News September tenth. This all
comes as both campaigns fight over the rules for the debate,
including the Harris camp wanting open mics while the Trump
campaign does not.
Speaker 4 (08:51):
The Secret Service.
Speaker 3 (08:53):
Asks Alexandria officials to shut down Judy Lowe Park in
the Delray neighborhood so that agent can better protect Vice
presidential candidate jd Vance, who is very close to the playground.
Montgomery County Police they've identified two kids who are responsible
for making those bomb threats against three schools back in May.
(09:15):
A fifteen year old bethesa Chevy Chase High School student,
was charged in connection to those threats. He reportedly used
social media to solicit help from a twelve year old
boy from Pennsylvania who acted as the caller. A Northern
Virginia man who attacked staffers in the district office of
Congressman Jerry Connolly with a baseball bat in May of
twenty twenty three was found not guilty by reason of
(09:38):
insanity yesterday. Two staffers were injured that day, including an
intern who was working her first day. The attacker is
going to be sent to a psychiatric hospital for treatment.
And according to a recent survey, thirty seven percent of
Americans have experimented with at least one viral sleep trend.
Speaker 4 (09:57):
The most popular one.
Speaker 3 (09:58):
Is bedrow that's when you stay in bed for a
day or a long period of time to do other
things except sleep. Forecast for today, we do have a
Code orange air quality alert hot and humid highs around
ninety three right now sixty six and Chantilly.
Speaker 2 (10:15):
Face the final frontier. These are the stories of the
starship from Boeing called Starliner, which went on on an
eight day journey, which is still an eight day journey
a couple of months later. But wait, it gets worse.
We'll talk about this. Have you heard about these astronauts?
You haven't, Oh you will coming up where Toby and
(10:36):
Chillian in the morning, stay right there, Toby and Chilly
in the morning in ninety seven point one wash FM.
The other day, NASA had a press conference to say
they're bringing this Boeing Starliner that had some problems back
early without the astronauts. The astronauts are now deemed to
be a part of the SpaceX crew nine, and I
guess they're going to do the work as a part
(10:57):
of the ISS mission that's current there. That is interesting
because this test flight was only supposed to last eight days.
Speaker 3 (11:07):
Yes, they were supposed to come back June fifth, Okay,
eighty days into this they found out, you guys are
gonna have to wait until February of next year. So
when it's all said and done, eight days is going
to turn into like eight and a half months. I
would lose my mind. I would lose my mind up there.
And by the way, you're only packing for packing, like
(11:28):
you've got luggage, but you're only really preparing for eight
days stay. Obviously, they've got rations, they've got stuff up there.
They're gonna be fine, and with other astronauts, but still no,
thank you.
Speaker 2 (11:40):
You know, they're test pilots, it's NASA, it's a career
in service. And they also knew that they were going
out to the edge of the unknown to do what
they're doing in brand new technology that hasn't been fully
vetted yet. That's the point of a test flight. I
think that they, at some point in time knew that
this could happen. Of course, you don't want it to
(12:00):
happen to or you get stranded in space for like
eight months, but you know what, it's part of what
they signed up for. I think they and their families
are aware of it. And while it stinks personally and
some people might find it to be crazy, to be
stuck in a tin can for eight months. You know,
it is part of the job.
Speaker 3 (12:21):
All the weddings, all the different things you're missing. You're
supposed to be back in time, maybe for the first day.
Is all I can think of, is all the obligations
that you now can't follow through with because well you're
stuck in the space, Todagg.
Speaker 2 (12:34):
But it'll make all of those things much sweeter when
you actually do come home. The glass. I think you
have to look at it, especially in situations where it's
like this level of test flight stuff. It makes everything
sweeter just to come home. So you know, when they
get home. I have a feeling there'll be many celebrations.
Speaker 3 (12:54):
And I have a feeling there's a lot of stuff
we don't know yet, and that there probably will be
some sort of a movie about that, because this is ridiculous, right,
Like I can't wait to watch.
Speaker 2 (13:04):
Much like Apollo thirteen.
Speaker 4 (13:05):
Yes, exactly, a little space adventure.
Speaker 2 (13:08):
Gentlemen, I need to know your intentions. But was that there, Tom,
Thanks Houston.
Speaker 4 (13:13):
We have a problem that's true too.
Speaker 2 (13:15):
Well, we we're spewing something into space. Well, let see,
it could be a lot worse for the people. That
is Boeing Starliners Man that are nice and safe and
sound on the International Space Station for the next few months.
If you've got some thoughts on it, what would you do?
You know where to find us? For Toby and Chilly
in the morning, it's ninety seven point one WASHFM. In

It's also the favorite part sometimes the first day of school.
A whole fresh box of crayolas that are sharp.

Yeah, for sure. Top Stories, Top of the Hour.

I don't know if you saw this on the Internet

is now the subject of a new trend on TikTok.
Apparently GPT will roast your personal Insta pages. And of course,
since instant TikTok are kind of like you know, one services,
the other people are getting Insta roasted and then boom,
(17:12):
it's ending up on TikTok. Bottom line, it's trending. People
are talking about it. We'll get into it and why.
Coming up Toby and Tilly in the morning on ninety
seven point one to watch FM. So you might have
heard the news you can use chat GPT to roast
your Insta chili. You found this, So tell us all
about how and why this has become a trend.
Speaker 3 (17:32):
Well, it's becoming a very entertaining trend where you take
a snapshot of your Instagram feed on a desktop and
put it into the chat GPT and say roast my
Instagram and one paragraph and then it literally roasts what
it seems.
Speaker 2 (17:48):
So it has to be a desktop, not the mobile
device or.
Speaker 4 (17:50):
The mobile device. Mobile device, Okay, okay, it's.
Speaker 2 (17:52):
Going to be the app on your mobile Okay, gotcha.
Speaker 3 (17:54):
Yeah, And so I went ahead and did it for
both of us. Toby, do you want me to go
first to watch? Yeah, okay, here's a line of what
it roasted mine with. It says it says your Instagram
page is a chaotic blend of family moments, coffee, fuel, survival,
and random news updates. That's the first line. Well, that's
about right.
Speaker 2 (18:14):
Well, that's interesting, Yeah, pretty accurate. Exactly mine is very accurate.
Toss in a hurricane warning, some celebrity cameos, a few
selfies that say, yep, this is my life now, and
you've got a feed. This is unpredictable as it is entertaining,
keep doing you, but maybe take a breath every now
and then. Oh you know me so well chat gpt.
(18:36):
By the way, you can read even more at Toby
naptlbyk and app on instance and attiliamar on Insta. But
that's very unique and very interesting. So I'm wondering if
anybody else has tried this and come across any kind
of an interesting roast from chat gpt.
Speaker 3 (18:52):
Remember there's always a little bit of truth to every insult.
Speaker 2 (18:55):
Well, yeah, absolutely, especially when there's an algorithm involved that

Speaker 3 (19:29):
Yeah, international trip for a concert. Dean Laura will tell
us more.
Speaker 2 (19:33):

We're Toby and Chilly in the morning. People very serious
about fantasy football, and they're very serious about their names.
And when you find a good team name, a clever
team name, it tends to ride with you for the
duration of the time that you play.
Speaker 3 (19:54):
Now, I don't play, but I am into the funny
names that people come up with.
Speaker 4 (19:57):
I can't remember the one that.
Speaker 2 (19:59):
You've been using Dolomites posse. Dolomite was a nineteen seventy
five character made famous by the actor Rudy ray Moore.
He's a pimp if you will.
Speaker 3 (20:09):
Okay, So Dolomite posse is Dolomites possel.
Speaker 2 (20:12):
One of the lines from the movie is, Dolomite don't
need no posseble Oh okay, that's right. He can ride
into his battles alone.
Speaker 3 (20:19):
I don't know if people would be willing to share
their team name because we don't want anyone to steal
it right like we want them to.
Speaker 2 (20:24):
Oh, you can be influenced. It's okay, that's this most
sincere form of flattery.
Speaker 4 (20:29):
All right?
Speaker 2 (20:29):
Eight sixty six wash FM, the number one talk back

like to wear like lindstones and things that are really
fun among ourselves.
Speaker 2 (20:58):
But Sparkly Sys, why not football?
Speaker 1 (21:02):
I don't know.
Speaker 3 (21:02):
I think the Sparkley Sisters is like my friends and
I are like sisters, So why not name it that?
You know, well, if that's your inspiration, my friends and
I are hot mess mamas, maybe that should be our team.
Speaker 2 (21:13):
Not mess Mama. Yes, thank you for the call this morning.
Let's go over here to Mike and Poolsville. Good morning, Mike.
What's your fantasy football team?
Speaker 3 (21:22):

I'm gonna go with Men of Steel because I'm a
Steelers fan.
Speaker 2 (21:25):
Baby, Let's go Steelers. You admit that in public places.
Speaker 3 (21:29):
The only thing worse is if you said you were
a Cowboys fan.
Speaker 1 (21:31):
Boo.
Speaker 2 (21:32):
What more?
Speaker 1 (21:32):
Toby and Jilly head over to washfm dot com or
