That brings us joy, but specifically to you, Chili, Why
are you feeling some joy before five this morning?
Speaker 2 (00:30):
Oh?
Speaker 4 (00:31):
It's just nice to drive with a window open and
not have there be humidity. Yeah, feeling the cool breeze,
it's it's it's lovely.
Speaker 3 (00:39):
It's not one hundred and four degrees feels like one
hundred and ten. The air condition's cranked. Yeah, I feel
you feels good, doesn't it?
Speaker 4 (00:47):
Yeah, well yeah it does for now. And it's a
nice It's the perfect weather to sleep with like your
bedroom window open too.
Speaker 3 (00:55):
Yes, I would do that, but bugs are a thing.
I just just have this ac I do. But you
know it's for me. It's just the idea that they
could get in, you know. I opened the door for
a little bit last evening to kind of let the
cool air in. Yeah, and then I was like, wow,
it is a little cool, and I can't start a
bonfire on the patio or else I might get in
trouble with the law.
Speaker 2 (01:16):
Yeah, I don't want that.
Speaker 3 (01:17):
I'm feeling good this morning because last night I tried
someplace new that's not new to me, you know, and
so many times we pass things through the prisms of ourselves,
and just because it's new to you doesn't mean it's new.
And I can't believe that I haven't known about this
Montgomery County institution or tried it, but I just chose
not to.
Speaker 2 (01:34):
This place called.
Speaker 3 (01:35):
Il Pizzico is one of the oldest family owned Italian
restaurants in Montgomery County. Swung by there last night to
grab some food and go home because I saw that
they won an award, and I got to tell you,
this place is a hidden gem. So for me, what's
making me feel good this morning is trying something new,
going to a hidden gym sort of a place in
the DMV, and experiencing what it is that winds awards
(01:56):
when it comes to real Italian food from real Italian
food magazines. It's good little things in life, right, that's right,
spoken like a true foodie.
Speaker 4 (02:07):
Hey, hey, Rudy.
Speaker 3 (02:08):
Or maybe I was just hungry because you know, the
ozempic wears off sometimes. Toby and Chilly in the Morning,
it's ninety seven point one Watch FM. Hope you're feeling
good today. Hope you're feeling good because football season is
back and maybe your significant other is glued to the
TV or fantasy stuff. Know the feeling it hits close
to home. But are you feeling some sort of way
about football?
Speaker 2 (02:29):
What is it?
Speaker 3 (02:29):
We'll talk next. Welcome to Toby and Chilly in the
Morning for this Thursday, it's the most wonderful time of
the year. Toby and Chilly in the Morning. It's ninety
seven point one wash FM. It's not Christmas, but it's
just like Christmas for people who are fans of American
football the National Football League. The big kickoff festivities were
underway last night on TV and then of course there's
(02:50):
a game tonight. They're all international as we get the
season started. I'm excited. Are you feeling some sort of
way about this football season?
Speaker 5 (02:57):
Yeah?
Speaker 4 (02:57):
I mean mostly just the Commanders. You know, my husband
I love to watch the games. The only time it
kind of gets in the way is when he chooses
to watch a game. When we have a social opportunity
that makes any sense, like we have a chance to
go do something with some friends. He's like, no, there's
a game. I'm going to stay home. I'm like, well, fine,
I'm just gonna go without you.
Speaker 3 (03:14):
Well, that's one way that people who become what they
call the football widow or widow wers deal with it.
I just love the season, and if I could scrap
all my plans on Sunday, and I.
Speaker 2 (03:27):
Have been known to do this, I will.
Speaker 3 (03:29):
We'll talk to us Steven who is listening to us
in Rockville this morning at eight six, six, nine two
seven forty three sixty when it's ninety seven point one
watch FM. Not a fan of the football, what do
you do when your fans are geeking out over the
big games on Thursday, Friday or Sunday.
Speaker 1 (03:43):
This is actually easy. My best friend is way more
into football than I am, and he always wants to
hang out during.
Speaker 2 (03:50):
Games, and so I just.
Speaker 4 (03:52):
Go to his house and bring like a book with
me and read a little bit and get caught up
on my Instagram scrolling what good talk stories.
Speaker 6 (04:01):
It's basically a nice little relaxing day while he screams
at the TV.
Speaker 4 (04:04):
Okay, well, thank you for sharing. But you know you
could have done that at the comfort of your own home.
Speaker 2 (04:08):
Yeah, you didn't have to say yes. You could have
said no.
Speaker 3 (04:12):
Hey, Canise, thanks for waking up with us in Alexandria
this morning. Canise, what do you do when it comes
to football and people get all up into the games?
Speaker 1 (04:20):
I leave the house.
Speaker 4 (04:21):
What do you mean by that?
Speaker 7 (04:22):
My boyfriend has his friends come over. I can't deal
like it's too much, It's too much yelling. There's there's
just way too much bros going on. So every Sunday
I just make.
Speaker 1 (04:33):
Plans and I leave.
Speaker 4 (04:34):
I can't handle it like I just get a lot
of Aaron's done.
Speaker 7 (04:38):
I make fans of friends too much bro too much broff.
Speaker 3 (04:41):
I feel like I should be offended. But thank you
Canise for jumping into the conversation. Chillie, you got some
thoughts on that.
Speaker 4 (04:46):
Hey, you know what, if she doesn't get in his way,
I don't think he minds right, that's true.
Speaker 3 (04:50):
Enjoy shopping, good luck, your money or fun or his
eight six six nineteen seven forty three sixty one. How
do you deal with football season? You embrace it? Do
you shun it? Let's talk. Feel free to jump in

mindset might need to be corrected. So we'll talk about
you with your morning mindset. Coming up in just a
few Toby and Chilly in the morning. Welcome to Thursday

With your morning mindset?
Speaker 4 (05:22):
What is the quote that you've got for everybody?
Speaker 7 (05:24):
You know?
Speaker 3 (05:24):
This Deepak Chopra, Well, apparently he's kind of a big deal.
I won't say that I've been completely into him, but
I will say that this quote stuck out and I
wanted to share it with you because maybe you need
to hear it. The great Deepak Chopra says, have a
vision of life that inspires you, then try every day
to grow closer to the fulfillment of that vision. Have
(05:48):
a vision of life that inspires you, then try every
day to grow closer to the fulfillments of that vision.
So what inspires you today and what is stopping you
from growing closer to that. That inspires that that fuel
to the vision. Think about that and then stoke that
(06:09):
fire because it will carry you not just through today,
but through whatever your life dream and life vision may be.
Deepak Chopra with the words to inspire today and if
you need them again you can find them Toby and
Chili page washefm dot com. That is your morning mindset

And if you need even more news, we got you
covered Top stories at the top of the hour. That's
around six you're waking up. De say it with ninety
seven point one f M Good.
Speaker 1 (08:55):
Morning, Top Stories, Top of the Hour.
Speaker 4 (09:00):
Teen year old suspect in a deadly high school shooting
in Georgia ways investigated over similar threats last year. According
to police, the teen killed two teachers, two students, and
injured nine others at Appalachi High School yesterday morning, and
the FBI says that he had made online threats to
commit a school shooting back in May of twenty twenty three,
(09:21):
a former Fairfax County Public Schools independent contractor accused of
taking video of several students is now facing two dozen
charges tied to separate incidents. Police said the victims or
girls between ages of six and eight, and most of
those crimes happened at elementary schools in McLean and Herndon.
A popular children's park near JD Vance's home in Alexandria
(09:42):
is back open. Sometimes the Secret Service had to shut
down a Judy Lowe park over safety concerns for vans. Well,
kids can't go back to playing on the top lot,
but parents have got to check its availability online before going.
The Fairfax Connector is going to be launching buses every
twenty minutes that are going to run between Tyson's and
(10:03):
Bethesda during morning and afternoon rush. It'll cost just five
bucks one way. The new service is slated to start
on the sixteenth. A recent report from the National Park
Service indicates more than twenty three million people visited parks
in Virginia last year, which translated into one point five
billion dollars in local spending, and Virginia ranked fifth overall
(10:25):
in the US for total visitor spending last year. And finally,
according to a recent survey, nine percent of moms regret
the name they gave their baby, and ten percent of
moms say their child's name just doesn't fit their personality. However,
only six percent actually legally changed the name after the
baby was born. Forecast for today another nice day, partly cloudy.
(10:48):
High's getting up to around eighty right now. Fifty three
in Springfield eight.
Speaker 3 (10:53):
Six six nine two seven forty three sixty one is
the number. And if you're signed into your iHeart app,
you'll see the talkback microphone. It's the mic with a
circle around it. Look for the color red. You can
press it talk to his thirty seconds. Say whatever's on
your mind. You might want to use that coming up
because there's a company you might have heard about, a
Japanese company helping people to quit their jobs. Ah quit
this thing. Well, we've got some thoughts on it. We'll
(11:16):
tell you about it in case you haven't heard what
this service is, and we'll get into all of this
and more. Next with ninety seven point one WASHFM or
Toby and Chilly in the morning, is it It goes
to Benson boone six twenty Thursday, September fifth, Washington, d C.
It's ninety seven point one WASHFM, Toby and Chile in
the Morning. Have you heard about this from Japan? There's
(11:38):
a service. You know, much like people they get agents
or they use headhunters to find jobs. Well, now there's
a service in Japan where you can hire somebody to
quit a job. I guess people feel some sort of
way uneasy about leaving a position. So there's an agency
that's managing like ten thousand people who have resigned from
(12:00):
a job quit for whatever reason. I don't know what
you think about this, but here at Toby and Chilly
in the Morning in ninety seven point one watch FM,
we're having a pretty steamy, interesting and lively discussion about it,
and you might want to get in on it.
Speaker 2 (12:13):
Chilli, you have some thoughts on this thing.
Speaker 4 (12:14):
Yeah, So this individual would also negotiate your exit terms,
setting your final workday, arranging for returning any equipment, all
that stuff that perhaps you are just not comfortable doing
for whatever reason. Now would I personally use the service, No,
but I get why some people are very uncomfortable and
uneasy about having the I'm leaving this company conversation with
(12:37):
your manager and you on the other hand.
Speaker 3 (12:39):
There's no way I would give my money to somebody
to do what I can do for myself.
Speaker 2 (12:45):
Well, you can do it for yourself, right right, some people,
and I'm not in it.
Speaker 3 (12:48):
And again, and I know I say this sometimes because
you know you're the person listening right now that are
most important. And I'm not going to try to tell
you what's right for you. But I'm just going to
tell you that I think if I'm going out, I
am going out because of my own choice. That means
I have adult things that come along with that choice,
which means getting my stuff back, taking care of my
former business, saying I'm done audio sum ego. The last
(13:11):
thing I want to do is give you a percentage
of my current exit salary to quit a job.
Speaker 4 (13:17):
Okay, And what if somebody use a service to quit
something from you, like, in other words, if you were
the CEO and they use the service quick, are you
going to think less of them for doing that?
Speaker 3 (13:26):
Well, to use a phrase that sometimes you use, too bad,
So sad, it's not my business. It's not I'm not
the one who made the decision to quit. You did,
So why don't you carry through on that? Because the
one thing that I don't want and it's unfortunate whether
it should happen or not. I don't want to get
to the weeds on that, but that's going to be
the message that you leave with. You know, this person
(13:48):
quit a job and couldn't even quit it for themselves.
They had to hire somebody else to do it. And
I just don't want to deal with that gossip. But
that's me. That might not be right for everybody else,
and I take it. It's not how you would say, I.
Speaker 4 (13:59):
Guess, and I'm happy to do it for anybody else.
I'm happy to quit on anyone's behalf. But I can
see why people are just not comfortable doing it.
Speaker 3 (14:07):
It's a good point. You know what, if somebody wants
to throw me money, I can do it. To quit
a job, I can write really good resignation. Am I
to turn down your money if you want to waste
it on quitting because you can't quit for yourself.
Speaker 2 (14:21):
I don't know.
Speaker 3 (14:21):
You might have some thoughts. Where do you stand on this?
Feel free to jump in. You can use the talk
back microphone. It's wide open right now and then numbers
eight six, six, ninet two, seven forty three sixty one
but right now you're going to need that number for
a different reason.
Speaker 1 (14:35):

get paid to do that, to run into a building.
Speaker 3 (15:48):
Do you know any firefighters that would be volunteers?
Speaker 2 (15:52):

Speaker 4 (16:32):
Details are emerging about the fourteen year old shooter who
killed two students and two teachers at Appalachi High School
in Georgia yesterday morning. Police a that Colie Gray use
an ar style weapon, and the FBI says the teen
had been on their radar for more than a year
for making online threats to commit a school shooting. Police
have arrested a suspect for exposing himself to women on
(16:53):
Sligo Creek Trail Intocoma Park. Jose Cordovo Blanco was identified
as the suspect in an exposure case that have been
back on August seventeenth. Now, at least five other women
reported similar cases of exposure in July and August. Hyattsville
native Francis Tiafo is headed to the semi final round
at the US Open. He's going to be taking on
(17:14):
Taylor Fritz in the semis tomorrow, and if Tiafa wins,
he'll get to play his first ever US Open final.
The Washington Commanders have suspended an employee after a secretly
recorded video was posted to social media. In it, Vice
President of Content ryl and Teen is shown criticizing NFL players, fans,
(17:35):
and even Commissioner Roger Goodell. And According to recent survey,
half of Americans have at least one room in their
house that they believe can never be saved from clutter.
Thirty percent say they've outgrown their home, and the average
American wishes they had three more rooms in their homes.
Forecasts for today partly cloudy eighty the high right now
(17:57):
fifty three in college.
Speaker 2 (17:58):
You see the survey that's floating or on the Internet.
Speaker 3 (18:00):
Of Things, they took a look at the worst TV
show ending of all time. Now, come on, you had
to have had a series and you the series came
to an end and you were like, wait a second,
I feel some sort of way good or bad. You
got thoughts, We'd love to hear them, and we'll tell
you which was the worst according to this survey TV
(18:23):
show ending of all time? Eight sixty six Wash FM
the number one you can call right now eight six
six nine two seven forty three sixty you want talk
back microphone works on your iHeart app. If you're signed
into try it. We'll get into it. Coming up here
in less than twenty minutes. Where Toby and Chilly in
the morning when in our iHeartRadio Music Festival, Vegas. Thanks
Capital one, you could be there nine ten Toby and
Chilly in the morning. We would love to hear from
(18:45):
you about the worst TV show ending of all time?
In your opinion everybody has their show. I remember we
would get in and we would have to talk on
Monday about a show that happened on Sunday night, back
before streaming. But even so with streaming, people feel some
sort of way about the way things end, do you
(19:05):
eight sixty six nine two seven forty three sixty one.
Speaker 2 (19:07):
They've done research. There's a list out nunchow and.
Speaker 4 (19:10):
The number one show that they say, uh had the
worst ending was House of Cards.
Speaker 2 (19:15):
That series, why do you think that is?
Speaker 4 (19:17):
Well, there was this weird plot twist at the end,
and I think people just didn't buy that that could
really have happened or whatever. That doesn't even come into
my top three. Honestly. I hate endings that are open ended,
like okay, like the finale for Sopranos, for example, or
even the finale for the TV show Lost. It was
(19:37):
just kind of this up for interpretation. You know, you
can kind of fill in the No. I don't want
to fill in the blank. You're the writer. I've invested
all these years. Please give me an ending, you know, I.
Speaker 2 (19:48):
Want some interpretation.
Speaker 3 (19:50):
I'll go to the Smithsonian, Yes, yeah, any number of
artistic museums.
Speaker 2 (19:54):
I can sit there and look at that panting and
be like.
Speaker 3 (19:56):
What was Dega thinking when they it's a TV show.
Speaker 2 (20:00):
I wanted to be my escape?
Speaker 4 (20:01):
And then you debate or what did it really mean?
Speaker 5 (20:03):
Okay?
Speaker 3 (20:03):
What about you? What would you say was the twenty four?
I did not like, you know how twenty four had ended?
Right like they ended twenty four? But then they brought
it back for that Live Another Day season okay, and
that made me excited. I was like, okay, because I've
always felt like there was more to the story from
the original twenty four, and then the new Live Another
Day season ended in a way I'm like, well, what
(20:25):
what what happened to the Jack?
Speaker 4 (20:27):
What was the point of Living Another Day?
Speaker 2 (20:29):
Yet? Why Chloe is still emotional? Jack is now doing
his thing and we don't know where he ended up going?
Speaker 4 (20:37):
You hope it was?
Speaker 6 (20:38):
Yeah?
Speaker 3 (20:38):
I just I felt unfulfilled. But again, who am I?
You know that's my take on it. Maybe you've got
to take on one of these TV shows. What do
you think about the way your favorite show? When I
say your show, you know what I mean as your show?
What do you think about the way it ended? Eight six, six, nine,
seven forty three sixty one Feel Free? To comment way
too on Facebook if you want to. We love your thoughts,
(21:00):
We love your stories here at ninety seven point one

date stories too.
Speaker 4 (21:06):
Coming up in just a few minutes, Devin and DC.
She passed out and ended up in the er on
her first date.
Speaker 3 (21:13):
Oh nothing says fun on a first day like a
medical emergency.
Speaker 2 (21:16):
How did it go? What happened?
Speaker 1 (21:18):
Find out in a few It's Toby and Chili's crazy.
Speaker 3 (21:21):
First date Inside the district. Devon is here with the
story for Chili and I go ahead. We're listening. What's up?
Speaker 6 (21:28):
So?
Speaker 5 (21:28):
I met this guy at a party one night and
we really hit it off. We ended up going on
a date a couple nights later. We had food, we
were watching a movie at his and I started getting
this really bad pain in my stomach, but I wasn't
going to say anything about it because I was like,
it's first date, jitters, it's been kind of embarrassing. I'm
not going to say anything. It ended up getting worse
and worse, and I passed out in his room. When
(21:48):
I woke up, he brought me to the hospital and
turns out I had a freak accident.
Speaker 1 (21:53):
I was internally hemorrhaging. It's really scary.
Speaker 5 (21:55):
I didn't have like any friends or family in the
DC area, yet I ended up like they called coad
on me. But he called off of work and stayed
with me the whole time. It just was like terrible
being in a bed looking what's your favorite color?
Speaker 2 (22:07):
It's like the worst first date ever.
Speaker 4 (22:10):
That was very cool that he stayed with you. Did
you guys ever get a redo? Like did you see
