my coffee to Stevia ratio perfect this morning.
Speaker 2 (00:30):
Little things make a big difference. That's that's good. That's
good stuff, especially for what we do well.
Speaker 5 (00:37):
And you know what I'm talking about, Like I have
liquid Stevia that I score it in my in my coffee,
and sometimes I get a little too much in there,
sometimes it's not enough. But when you get the perfect
amount of whatever it is you like to put in
your beverage, it is really a wonderful thing.
Speaker 2 (00:53):
Now, the question is this, will you be able to
duplicate the ratio?
Speaker 4 (00:58):
See therein lies the channel.
Speaker 5 (01:00):
That's the great question possible right right, So I'm attempting it,
and I will say when I get it right in a.
Speaker 4 (01:06):
Restaurant, whether it's with my iced tea or my coffee.
Speaker 5 (01:09):
I am not a fan of anybody coming in refilling
until I have emptied the glass because it messes.
Speaker 4 (01:14):
Up the ratio.
Speaker 3 (01:14):
You've got to put like a napkin over.
Speaker 4 (01:17):
I'm like, I put my hand real quickly. No, no, no,
let me finish first.
Speaker 3 (01:20):
You're like, wait a second, No.
Speaker 6 (01:23):
The sugar's perfect, don't touch it, don't do it, don't
top it off. Mine's also a little thing, you know.
I am notorious for ordering like a meal or having
a meal.
Speaker 2 (01:34):
And going to pick it up these days because I,
you know, save the money on the delivery service.
Speaker 3 (01:39):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (01:39):
Well, nine out of ten times I end up throwing
away the food, which is just straight up wasteful. Except
for this week. I've been going through leftovers and it's great.
Speaker 5 (01:52):
So you eat at the initial time, you end up
throwing the leftovers away typically typically, but this time the
leftovers actually were used.
Speaker 2 (02:01):
Leftovers were dinner last night, was din was dinner the
other night. It's a good thing to save money.
Speaker 4 (02:08):
It is a very good thing to say, especially.
Speaker 2 (02:10):

From the grade one Wayne Gretzky, who says, you miss
one hundred percent of the shots you don't take. Action
is the only way forward. So take the shot today.
You miss one hundred percent of the shots you don't take.
That's Wayne Gretzky. He knows a little bit about making
you know, some sort of taking some sort of a shot.
Speaker 3 (05:37):
Although Alex Ovechkin took.
Speaker 4 (05:40):
More shots, that's right, and more goals.

seven forty three sixty one. You're hiding something from your partner,
keeping a secret? There's a reason that I'm putting it
out there and just asking a taboo question.
Speaker 5 (06:40):
One in four people admitted that they are keeping a
secret or they do keep a secret from their significant other.
Speaker 3 (06:46):
So are you keeping anything from your husband? Now?
Speaker 5 (06:51):
Even if I was, I wouldn't admit that on the show.
But no, I genuinely am not. And the only thing
I would keep from him is somebody else's business. And
confided something in me and she didn't want me to
tell anybody. No, I'm not going to tell my husband
right and.
Speaker 4 (07:06):
You, I've tried, You've tried to keep a secret.
Speaker 3 (07:10):
I've tried to.
Speaker 2 (07:11):
Keep secrets, but it doesn't work. So now I just
don't because she'll catch me every time.
Speaker 4 (07:17):
Well, what kind of secret would you want to keep
from her? I guess is the question?
Speaker 2 (07:21):
Well, it could be anything like what did you did
you eat dinner last night?
Speaker 3 (07:24):
What did you eat for dinner last night?
Speaker 5 (07:26):
Oh?
Speaker 4 (07:26):
Okay?
Speaker 5 (07:26):
Oh well, benign secrets, nothing major like having okay.
Speaker 2 (07:31):
No, no, nothing, nothing that I think would be very harmful,
if you know what I mean. Yes, I do, because
God knows that if I tried, and I've tried, it
didn't work out. Michael, have you kept any secrets from
your partner?
Speaker 3 (07:46):
Good morning? By the way, in Kensington, I.
Speaker 5 (07:48):
Told my wife that none of my extual friends live
in the neighborhood, but one kind of does.
Speaker 1 (07:55):
I hope they never run into each other.
Speaker 2 (07:57):
I don't think they'll know who each other is, though,
so it shouldn't be fine.
Speaker 5 (08:01):
I hope. Well, Michael, for your sake, I hope so too,
because if she asked you and you lied about none
of them living there. That's more than just a sacred Carly,
good morning in Tacoma Park.
Speaker 3 (08:17):
What say you?
Speaker 1 (08:18):
I still pretend I don't know how to fix.
Speaker 4 (08:20):
The Wi Fi so they can feel like the texture
of the house.
Speaker 5 (08:23):
It keeps the peace, and hey, it also gets me
out of troubleshooting duty. Well, now, Carly, that might be
very clever little secret, because I've heard that men sometimes
purposely screw up chores so that.
Speaker 4 (08:37):
They're never asked to do it again.
Speaker 3 (08:39):
I can't confirm or deny that comment.
Speaker 4 (08:42):
Uh huh, you just did.
Speaker 3 (08:43):
Nope, I have nothing to say at all.
Speaker 2 (08:46):
However, if you do, if you've got something to say,
something to add to the conversation. The numbers eight sixty six,
nine two, seven forty three sixty one. What secret are
you hiding from your partner? Feel free to tell us
if you want to even change your voice. If we
need to to protect the innocent and the not so innocent.

Speaker 3 (12:32):
Oh, it's easy in just four weeks. It's too much.
I mean just four weeks.
Speaker 5 (12:37):
Like I mean, at least I don't have the emotional
part of sending my child to college, right because a
lot of my friends my age do have older kids.
You are gonna help your daughter move back because she's
graduating from college.
Speaker 4 (12:52):
So it's a lot going on for you.
Speaker 2 (12:55):
There's both dad and you have to condense it all
into like a weekend. So it's like, hey, you go
through a graduation ceremony, then you have to get everything
thrown into a vehicle, then you have to drive back.
Speaker 3 (13:06):
It's just it is just a lot.
Speaker 2 (13:09):
And you know, I don't know how it is that
some people get through this, but I know this much.
Over the last four May Simbers or so, I thought,
like I thought high school was interesting. I thought middle
school was interesting as a father of a daughter, and
now this college thing is just berserk.
Speaker 4 (13:29):
Yeah, it's crazy. And I guess this has always been
a thing.
Speaker 5 (13:31):
Maybe we just didn't have a word to coin it,
you know what I mean, Like, has it always been
this echectic?
Speaker 4 (13:37):
I don't know.
Speaker 2 (13:38):
I don't know, but you know what, to your point
about December, December is pretty hectic, but it's nothing like
May Simber. So happy May Simber to you and yours
and may we all survive it.
Speaker 1 (13:50):

And mind you, my parents live near me, right, they

every day on my way home from work or whatever school.
And when she passed, unfortunately I didn't keep that up
with dad, right, I don't call him every day. And
(19:44):
your parents, like a lot of people in the DMB,
they don't even live in the DC area.
Speaker 3 (19:48):
No they don't. They live in South Texas. They live
in Corpus Christie.
Speaker 4 (19:51):
And how often would you say you call them?
Speaker 2 (19:53):
Not often enough, you know, But seriously, it spens like
you know, when I was going through some really serious
medical stuff, the calls were often.
Speaker 3 (20:04):
It was like daily, two times a day.
Speaker 2 (20:07):
Right now we're down to maybe once every other week,
which is not good. I know, Mom and Dad, you're
probably listening via the podcast. I'm sorry, I'm being a
bad son. I'll try to call him more, but you know,
but it's just life gets busy, you know what I mean,
and we take it for granted, and well, you know.
Speaker 5 (20:25):
You know what's gonna happen, right, the karma is gonna
get us. Our children, yours and mind are never gonna
call us when.
Speaker 4 (20:31):
We you know, when they get older, and we're.
Speaker 5 (20:33):
Gonna be like, this is what we got for that, colleague.
Speaker 3 (20:37):
I figured you guys were okay. I didn't need to
call you. You to call me if something is wrong.
Speaker 2 (20:42):
So thoughts eight six six, nineteen seven forty three sixty one.
How often do you call your parents? Have you talked
to them this week? Do you talk to them daily
like maybe Chili did with her mother. Feel free to
reach out, tell us, let us know, and we look
forward to getting back to your thoughts in your store
where he's coming up in just a little bit. As
Toby and Chilli in the Morning continues now, speaking of stories, though,
(21:05):
we have to get to another one of your crazy
first date stories coming up in just a.
Speaker 5 (21:09):
Few Anya in Silver Spring was at a movie theater.
Her date left her there and the excuse he gave
later is what makes it really crazy.
Speaker 3 (21:20):
Get ready, you don't want to miss this one.
Speaker 1 (21:23):
It's Toby and Chilli crazy first date.
Speaker 2 (21:25):
She's in Silver Spring this morning. Her name is Anya.
Chili and I are both listening. What is your story?
Speaker 1 (21:33):
Yeah?
Speaker 7 (21:33):
So I met a guy at a comedy club and
we ended up going to the movies together and we
started watching it and maybe fifteen minutes into it, he's like, Hey,
I'm going to go buy something. Do you want anything?
I said, yeah, you know, can get me a bottle
of water. And he left and he never came back.
(21:53):
What exactly? Yeah, yup?
Speaker 4 (21:56):
Did he ever explain why he left? What happened?
Speaker 7 (22:00):
So we want to get a quick bite together in
his car. I dropped my car somewhere else. I left
my bag there actually, so when he never came back,
but I needed my bag. Finally I texted him and
I said, Hey, I'm gonna go eat at a restaurant.
Meet me at this restaurant because I really need my bag.
(22:22):
And finally he came to the restaurant. He gave me
this crazy story and he started eating off my plate
without asking me, and I was horrified. And I never
saw him again, Not.
Speaker 5 (22:35):
That it really matters at this point, onyxuse, I know
you never saw him again, But what Kakamami's story did
he come up with that day?
Speaker 7 (22:43):
He said he was sleepy and he went to sleep,
and that he had just woken up that time, that
I had texted him that hour later.
Speaker 3 (22:52):
This is crazy. What a fool he was. I mean, oh,
I'm sorry I garage.
Speaker 5 (23:01):
Yeah, and he was so apologetic that he ate your food,
took a nap, he.
Speaker 7 (23:06):
Is so full of exactly. Well, never saw him again.
Speaker 4 (23:11):
No shock there.
Speaker 3 (23:13):
Well that's an incredibly crazy story.
Speaker 5 (23:15):
And because you shared that story with us, Anya, we
hope that whomever you take to go see Shakira doesn't
just leave you stranded at National's Park May thirty.
Speaker 4 (23:27):
First, Thanks to our friends Alive Nation.
Speaker 7 (23:29):
Thank you so much. Yeah, I'm definitely not taking him.
I'm taking one of my girlfriends, that's for sure.
Speaker 3 (23:35):
Yeah, she won't leave you there, she won't. She won't
fall asleep on you, exactly.
Speaker 2 (23:40):

news for you coming up next.

judge Jo, So how often do you call mom and dad?
Speaker 5 (24:07):
Earlier, we're talking about how twenty two percent of people
feel guilty for not calling their parents as often as
they like. But you actually do a much better job
of keeping in touch with your parents than I do
with my dad.
Speaker 2 (24:21):
Maybe chilly, but I feel guilty that I let them
go to voicemail last night. I mean I was, I
was in bed, sleeping and I just missed the call
on purpose.
Speaker 3 (24:30):
Does that make me a bad son?
Speaker 5 (24:32):
I feel like there are other reasons that may put
you in that category.
Speaker 3 (24:35):
Okay, Silas and Damascus save me.
Speaker 4 (24:39):
Oh, my parents probably maybe once a week.
Speaker 5 (24:42):
They got them.
Speaker 3 (24:43):
I don't need to talk.
Speaker 5 (24:44):
To them every single day once they get their own
stuff going on. I'm sure they don't want me calling
them all the time. I get what you're saying, Silas,
but unless they tell you to stop calling, you should
just keep doing it.
Speaker 2 (24:55):
In fact, you should call them right now and tell
them you love them. Sarah and falls Church. How often
do you call your parents?
Speaker 1 (25:02):
I call my parents all the time, sometimes for real
stuff and just sometimes to rant about traffic or ask
how long chicken lasts in the bridge.
Speaker 5 (25:11):
They act like they're annoyed, but I know they secretly
love it. Well, that's true until you start asking them
for money.
Speaker 2 (25:18):
And then all of a sudden, Hello, Hello, I think
your phone's not working.
Speaker 3 (25:24):
Hello, I was just kidding.
Speaker 1 (25:26):
