It's Toby and Chilly crazy first dateKaren and Burke. How are you?
Oh hey Karen, Good morning,Toby and Chilly. How are you this
morning? Very good, Karen,Chilli and I are waiting to hear this
crazy first date adventure or misadventure youhave to tell us about, So go
ahead, crazy first date Karen,what's going on? It was about thirty

some years ago. I was inmy early nineteen or twenty years old.
I was very naive, but Iwas at one of my very first jobs,
summer jobs. There was a oldergentleman, probably old enough to be
my dad at the time, andhe started paying a lot of attention to
me and giving me little gifts andstuff. And I started feeling kind of

uncomfortable or I thought this is kindof crazy. But then one day he
comes in and he says, Ihave a son. I'd love to introduce
you to him. He's cute,he's smart, and he's telling me all
about this son of his, andhe said, you know, would you
like to meet him? I saidokay. So he sets it all up
and we're going to meet it forlunch. You know, he's going to

have a blue shirt and this andthat, so, I, you know,
very new to dating and whatever,but I thought, okay, I'll
give it a try. And soI get there and we meet up,
and we sit down and we startthis our nice lunch, and all of
a sudden, his dad walks in. I look at the guy, and
I think, what is going on? He did look kind of surprised,

but I thought, who has theirdad come and join us on a date.
And then he sat down and I, you know, we continued our
lunch. I think his dad endedup paying for our lunch. I couldn't
believe that that would have happened.I said, oh, okay, thank
you. You know, I wasso gracious and everything and had another date.

Again. I wasn't I don't thinkhe was interested or I was really
interested. But then I went backto the office. I felt a little
bit uncomfortable about what happened. Butafter that I never saw him or the
sun again. But fortunately I havemet a wonder full man who I've been
married to now for thirty three yearsand love him with all my heart.

So I'm so grateful. Well,so then it didn't really matter that dad
showed up at the date with thatdude. You weren't feeling him anyway,
