He's got a pack of cigarettes inhis hand and I'm like, oh gosh,
I didn't know he smoked. Idon't want to go out with this
guy. Go on the date.We go see the movie The Shining go
have pizza afterwards. While we're inthe car, he drives this old volkwagon
Beetle did July. The heat isblasting on my feet and I'm like I'll

be polite here and not say anything. And I pulled my feet back,
and the gentleman that he is,he apologized and said sorry, the heat
doesn't turn off. So that therein the car went on the date,
all was well. Now here weare in April, would be married forty
one years. He no longer smokes, he's seen every color of my underwear,

and he has an air conditioned car. So we're doing okay. Progress,
says, come question really quick foryou, did the smoker go in
for a kiss on the first date? And how did you react to said?
You know, smoker's breath. Hedid go in for a kiss,
And ironically, I don't even rememberwhether he had had the cigarette smoke on

his breath, because you know,he had the pack in his hand.
We went to movies, he can'tsmoke in there. We went to dinner,
can't smoke in there. And thenI don't recall him smoking in the
car. So from a long longtime ago nineteen eighty recollections, I don't
think he had smoker's breath at themoment. Well, with so many things
going against the guy, what wasit about him that made you agree to

go out with him again? Andthen end up marrying him. So,
I mean, he was a lotlike me. I'm a talker. As
you can tell, we seemed tohave a whole lot in common. Both
came from really, you know,good families, talked about family, talked
about that sort of stuff. Currentlymarried, three kids, seven grandkids later.
You know that was clearly important tous at the time too. And
I mean he had these beautiful blueeyes wearing those nineteen eighty short op corduroy

shorts man and you know, yeah, it was a kind of the whole
package. So he filled out thatcorduroy nicely, and his blue eyes matched
under the bright blue underwear. Wellthere you go. Ninety seven point one.
