Speaker 1 (00:04):
In Huddle is a production of the NFL in partnership
with Iheartradiot.

Speaker 2 (00:10):
Anyone and.

Speaker 1 (00:17):
Hey somebody you know most Oh, let me hand theos.
Welcome in to a fresh right out of the wrapping
paper episode.

Speaker 3 (00:29):
Of the.

Speaker 1 (00:31):
Podcasts I'm Ama, RUI here will sa as always? Okay,
are you still what's good? Wrapping paper all over the house,
pine needles? Uh?

Speaker 4 (00:42):
Absolutely, lots of food, lots of boxes that had to
be collapsed and put into recycling along with all the
bags of wrapping paper that were strewn all over the house.
Lots of excitement, lots of anticipation. And that's really what
it's all about. Now, I know your hobby when above

(01:03):
and beyond to get you something because I know in
the last podcast we finished up and he said, eh,
there's no real pressure for him to give something.

Speaker 1 (01:13):
Get the hell out of it. He was just so stressed.
He was so stressed, which like made me feel bad
because I'm not putting any pressure on him, which I
think only exacerbates the pressure because he's like, oh, right now,
you're being gracious about it. On top of that, like, uh,
just send me something. So I did. Ultimately, there was
another husband from our group chat that started for one

(01:35):
of the girls like do you think she would like this?
I'm like, can you just tell David to do the
same thing, like reach out to the girls? You have
resources around you. So they sent him a couple of
links and then you know, he got me something very
very beautiful. Not that I needed anything, but he really
wanted it to be like cute and very nice for me.
But we've been able to share a lot of experiences,

(01:56):
and I promise you will. Those really do mean more
to me than anything that can be unwrapped. I am serious. Good.

Speaker 4 (02:03):
Hey, I'm glad to hear because it is a lot
like my mom when we go to restaurants. She always
says getting posted it, getting posted, you know, the menu
getting posted it, And that is her way of saying,
do you want to deserve?

Speaker 1 (02:16):
Because I know I do, because I know I'm getting
it right.

Speaker 4 (02:19):
Exactly, but she wants to Yeah, no kidding, Reglo kidding,
reg I mean so I get you there.

Speaker 1 (02:29):
We're all all was everybody was happy with with their gifts?

Speaker 4 (02:33):
Ahold, Yes, well, I think a lot of thought was
was taking a consideration. And then also as the kids
get older, it's it's different where the things that they
want are just so much more older. I know it
sounds they're very very specific exactly because before it used

(02:53):
to be oh, let's let's let's get them clay, or
let's get.

Speaker 1 (02:58):
Them a rubber ball or literally.

Speaker 4 (03:02):
Simple yeah, we're now they have special taste, they have
certain things that they want, and I do think that
ultimately they they got everything pretty much that that that
that they asked for.

Speaker 1 (03:15):
I tried something different with my niece because she's five now,
so she's getting a little older, but you know, just
getting her more stuff and more toys and more, you know,
I felt bad, and so I got her an experience instead.
I got her a year membership to the Zoo Zoo
Miami I Leave, which she loves. Now. I did want
her to open something because she is still five, and

(03:38):
so I didn't want to just give her a piece
of paper with like the year past. So I got
her a little water bottle. She's very into unicorns. I
guess that's like all the rage. That okay, great, So
I'm glad I was on Auntie was on par with that.
Got her a little water bottle that she could decorate.
It came with all these like the dazzling stickers, and
you could make it into a unicorn and a little

(03:58):
unicorn digital camera so she could take her own pictures
of all the animals in her little experiences. So I
was kind of proud of myself that I didn't just
get like more stuff that my sister has to figure
out or to store it in the house, but something
that they can also enjoy together and continue to go
throughout the year as well, which I think it also
has like some educational purposes. So we're building this next

(04:20):
generation up.

Speaker 4 (04:22):
I love it. I love it. I just know that
when I was an uncle and giving gifts to my
nephews and nieces when they were younger, I tried to
get them the most obnoxious gift.

Speaker 1 (04:33):
Yeah, oh, I've done that, like.

Speaker 4 (04:34):
The big robots and stuff that talk, you know, the
Santa that's shaking his booty, all that stuff.

Speaker 1 (04:41):
I woulds that are too big, like bigger than they are. Yeah,
I've done all of it.

Speaker 4 (04:45):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (04:45):
And then we would get those break yeah, and then.

Speaker 4 (04:48):
We would get those, and then I'd be peeved because
like there was this talking computer laptop that was a
play one and if you don't if you didn't play
with it, for a certain period of time it says
are you home? You know, it's like it's all like.

Speaker 1 (05:05):
Are you still watching?

Speaker 4 (05:06):
Wow?

Speaker 3 (05:07):
Yeah yeah.

Speaker 4 (05:07):
So it's just it was just uh funny when I
look back at at some of those gifts. So I'm sure,
I'm sure your niece will love the gifts. And she
did love the gifts so much that she's going to
be appreciating them and hopefully she will be playing with them.
She probably got overwhelmed, right, she was.

Speaker 1 (05:25):
Looking for the big box that usually comes from NCJ.
But like that's fine. She got over the camera in particular,
she really really enjoyed.

Speaker 4 (05:32):
So yeah, it's overwhelming, overwhelming with stuff.

Speaker 1 (05:35):
That's a lot, but we did good. Now we all
have to turn the page to the new year. I
think that those weird few we're in those weird few
days now between Christmas and New Year's we know we
don't know what day of the week it is. The
year's almost over. We're trying to look ahead and then bam,
New Year's Eve is here, and then nope, because for
us in football, it's it's still very much going right.

(05:55):
We don't have a little lull, we don't have a
break in any of that. But have you started thinking
about New Year's resolutions? Yeah?

Speaker 4 (06:03):
You know, the thing with New Year's residents, it feels
like is establishing a habit that you need to establish
over thirty days and then it becomes solidified. So for me,
it's always about the bite size resolutions, and we can
talk about what some of those are. I think a
lot of them are standard fare, but they have to

(06:26):
be resolutions though, that are attainable ones, ones that you
know that you can get. Don't necessarily means they have
to be so easy, but at least easy enough for
where you know that you are making progress all exactly.
But it's all about the buildable steps. We sound like
a head coach right.

Speaker 1 (06:44):
Now a little bit, a little bit, and by that
vein some of these NFL teams probably have a few resolutions.

Speaker 5 (06:51):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (06:52):
Yeah, So I've been giving it some thought and you know,
in our audience as well and who we're trying to reach.
And so the first team that came to my mind
were the Raiders, and I think the New Year's resolution
there for them is a commitment to a coach that

(07:14):
everybody is one hundred percent behind. It went through the
John Gruden experience, they just went through the Josh McDaniels
experience and the Patriot way out in Vegas that didn't
work out. Rick Bisaccia seemed to be the kind of
coach that rallied that team that got them actually to

(07:35):
the playoffs. Antonio Pierce seems to be really relating well
to the players. He's very blunt with them. Now has
he done enough to secure the job that we'll see?
It's ultimately up to Mark Davis, who is paying a
lot of money to coaches that aren't coaching. But for
the Races to be relevant, yes, for the Raiders to

(07:57):
be relevant, they really need to find the right guy,
whether it's Antonio Piers or somebody else, so that they
get the offense, the quarterback and everything moving in the
right direction. Because I do think they have a generational
pass rusher in Max Crosby, who we had on this
year broadcast.

Speaker 1 (08:15):
I love that. I think that's an excellent resolution, not
as much of a buildable step, but a big step
that definitely has been a big missing piece for that
organization with the amount of talent that they have brought
in over the years to try and make a big
push in the post and make it to another Super Bowl.
I like that. I'm going straight across to the AFC

(08:38):
East and the Jets because, especially as of late, with
Aaron Rodgers on the brink of being medically cleared, he
wants to get back. We've already discussed the is that
doth worth the squeeze, So let's look ahead Aaron and
Robert Sala to twenty twenty four. That offensive line has
to be not just a resolution for them, but a priority. Now,

(09:01):
what happened to Aaron was by no fault of the
offensive line. Let's beak, but we've seen that there is
a weakness there from that team. They have to build
that up, especially with Aaron Rodgers coming back off of
that injury to his achilles, like, this has to be
their top resolution resolution one, two and three all across
the way for that Jet squad.

Speaker 2 (09:22):
I love that.

Speaker 4 (09:22):
I think they definitely need that to keep him up
right and healthy, and really jobs are depending on it.
Because the Jets structured everything around Aaron Rodgers needs, whether
it's having Nathaniel Hacket there, whether it's having Randall Cobb
as a wide receiver Lizard, this is all meant for

(09:43):
him to succeed, and I do think for Salah, one
would assume that his future is tied with Aaron Rodgers
at this point, because after four snaps he went down.
I honestly thought you were going to say that New
Year's resolution was to tamp down all the expectations of
the Jets because they were astronaut when Aaron Rodgers sign, Right.

Speaker 1 (10:07):
Yeah, but I think everybody the second Aaron got injured,
we're like, all right, you guys, get a bulligin, Like,
that's not nobody could have written that. Nobody could have
expected that, least of all them. So they almost a scratch,
if you will. But next season that's certainly not the case.
Should we do one more before we go?

Speaker 4 (10:25):
Yeah, yeah, let's let's listen. I have one that I
think would appeal to you, and you tell me what
you think, and that is for the Dolphins to sign
to a long term The man deserves a contract. He
actually showed that he can lead this offense, that the
other players respond to him, he takes accountability, he can

(10:49):
stay healthy. So those jiu jitsu lessons or classes that
he was taking to avoid getting concussed actually helped out.
That offense is humming when he's in there and when
he's not in there. You see the falloff, you see
what they're doing there in Miami with Mike McDaniel, and
that offense makes a lot of sense to just sign

(11:12):
toua and to think that at one point in time
it was boy they should have had justin Herbert there. Well,
it was actually worked out.

Speaker 1 (11:20):
You know what, sign him up. I'm not gonna throw
shade at anybody else. I'm just saying we got the
right guy, and he's been crushing it. He went over
tremendous adversity that I think for many would have been
the end of a career. He not only because it
wasn't a bounce back. He fought back for himself, for

(11:40):
his livelihood, for his family, and of course for this team.
So to me, he has more than earned that long
term contract. I agree with you will Yeah, And.

Speaker 4 (11:50):
They're a fun team to watch, MJ really fun to watch,
electric so many stars, it really is. And with the
running backs and with Mike McDaniel and doing all the
motioning and shifting that they do. I think he's the
guy for for the job and he should be signed.
So that's the New Year's resolution.

Speaker 1 (12:10):
Any others, Yeah, I think this one is an onus.
More for for for teams who are looking for those
aforementioned head coach positions to be filled, we would like
to draw your attention to Eric B. Enemy Dan. Yes,
they're right there forgot. Yes, especially the enemy who we've

(12:31):
been screaming at the top of our lungs, deserves a
shot at a head coach position forever. So I hope
that there is a team who makes that their resolution
and their goal to give him the HC HC role
for sure. I mean, what else, what else does a
guy like bnemy need to do? Come on, Yeah, I.

Speaker 4 (12:51):
Agree, He's a guy that's been mentioned a lot in
these head coaching vacancy has been never quite secure one.
So yeah, maybe that is the resolution that one of
these teams say, Hey, we need to have Eric B.
Enemy as our guy. And Dan Quinn he did once
upon a time coach the Falcons. I think he coached
up the Dallas defense extremely well. Where this had been

(13:14):
a formidable defense they had stumbled. But still, I mean,
this is a defense that he was really molding in
the way that he would like. For me. Another New
Year's resolution that I'd like to see is I'd love
to see the Bears actually treat their quarterbacks with care

(13:36):
because at this point in time, they are in the
mix with these top draft choices and they can certainly
get a quarterback, and if they do, there's a lot
of good ones that'll be available to them. And if
Justin Feels is their guy, then keep developing him and
get more weapons around him. It's not just DJ Moore,
but maybe it's a Marvin Harrison junior. But they need

(13:59):
to do what they can to develop a leader there.
And they just had not had a quarterback that they
could rely on who's consistent and who can lead them
not just to the postseason, but far and into a
Super Bowl. I mean, the last time we saw the
Bears in a Super Bowl was when Rex Grossman was
at that. Oh and that's been a long time. And

(14:22):
he is just not a quarterback of exactly and there's
a reason why, right, I mean, just not as memorable
as say Jim McMahon, who in the mid eighties, he
helped the Bears actually win a Super Bowl. But they've
had Jake Cutler, They've had so many different quarterbacks. You
just hope whether it's Justin Fields or a quarterback that

(14:43):
they draft that they finally make the new year's resolution
and say, uh hump, then almost get the ned Quilo
the quarterback they have to take care. So that would
be my new year's resolution for the Bears.

Speaker 1 (14:56):
All right, I'm gonna hit one more just because you
mentioned this theme a bit ago. The Falcons, Yeah, how
excited were we to see the Bijon Robinson era come
into full effect?

Speaker 4 (15:10):
Love that experience.

Speaker 1 (15:11):
Maybe as of late we've seen a little bit more.
We's only got four touchdowns on the year, and we
know that he is capable of way more than that,
and they really weren't feeding him for much of the season.
So Falcons, please for us and a certainly for many
many fantasy holders who had Robinson. Yeah, probably in their

(15:32):
first round of the draft, much like they did. They
need to give him the ball more. Make that your resolution.
Feed this man. He's ready.

Speaker 2 (15:40):
I love it.

Speaker 4 (15:42):
And Drake London too. They got to get him the
ball more. And that's something where Arthur Smith needs to
get the ball to these guys, the playmakers. But before
even that, they need to find the quarterback that can
distribute the ball. And that's a whole other thing exactly.

Speaker 1 (16:02):
So you think if that is your issue, right, that
you can hand it off in the backfield, take some
pressure off of your guy and just run it through
the ground. But I don't know.

Speaker 4 (16:11):
Yeah, yeah, yeah, all right, what one more?

Speaker 1 (16:15):
One more?

Speaker 4 (16:15):
Because I just I haven't And this is Derrick Henry
New Year's resolution for him, that he has an offensive
line that he could run behind. That is something that
this year he had not been able to do. There
was nowhere to go. He still managed to be in

(16:36):
the top five in rushing, but he hasn't had that
Derrick Henry year. Some people think that he's just slowing down.
There's been a lot of wear and tear, but you
still able to score a bunch of touchdowns this year.
So maybe he goes to a team that has an
offensive line that will showcase his talent and maybe he'll
let it ride and maybe will help out his Hall

(16:57):
of Fame candidacy, because the guy has done a lot
on the field in a short amount of time. But
we do know how these running backs are devalued. So
maybe overall it's the New Year's resolution is commit to
the running backs. They are people. They are people, and
they are weapons and they are necessary to make these
offenses go.

Speaker 1 (17:18):
Yeah, just ask uh, San Francisco and Miami. Yeah, and
my extension of Philadelphia because their their quarterback also doubles
and they have a great backfield theirs too. Yeah. I
like these I like these resolutions. I'm still thinking of mine.
Don't be nosy, guys as to what will and my

(17:38):
resolutions are. We're gonna flush those out. We should do
a vision board. But have you ever done a vision
board on a glass of wine or your bottle, your
favorite bottle of spirit.

Speaker 4 (17:50):
Uh, you're saying, take liquid courage.

Speaker 1 (17:54):
No, no, no no, So, like the purpose of it is,
I did this once before, and I love this idea.
You take your favorite bottle of whatever, right, okay, responsibly,
and you put like sort of your goals and your
resolut and the things you envision for yourself for the
year ahead. And then at the end of the year,
you'll pop that bottle open and celebrate to the things
that you have accomplished, to the way you have pivoted

(18:14):
from maybe things that you thought you needed at the
beginning of the year and did it or however it
goes around, but it's a good way to sort of
reflect back at the end of the year and give
yourself some some well deserved flowers and encouragement, and it's
like a little bit more mature other than like just
the poster board you know that maybe we did once
in high school or in college. I still have one

(18:35):
from from when I did it years ago, and there
are still things on that vision board bottle that I
have that remind me like, Okay, that's still something that
I really really am committed to and sometimes the timing
is just not right. So you're welcome for the idea.
I can't take credit. You can't take credit or and
you can use it on anybody. You just have to
use that what's thing called moge podge mog But is

(18:57):
it like is it like on a label?

Speaker 4 (19:00):
Is that where you're right?

Speaker 1 (19:01):
You can put it all over all over the bottle.

Speaker 2 (19:04):
You just love that.

Speaker 1 (19:05):
Yeah, it's that kind of blue that you paint on
and then you just let it dry. It's cute.

Speaker 2 (19:10):
See.

Speaker 4 (19:10):
I thought you would say, like, okay, you know for
every resolution you need.

Speaker 1 (19:16):
To take a shot.

Speaker 2 (19:17):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (19:18):
Wow. The family show pretty banged up.

Speaker 1 (19:23):
So it's just a more adult version of the vision board.
When I lived in San Diego, someone had a party
like that. I was like we're really doing a vision
board party, which I had no shade. I think it's
very important to visualize and manifest. But once she said
just bring her favorite. When she said bring her favorite
bottle of wine, I was like, Okay, sister, let's go.
That's what I'm talking about. And she's like, no, no, no,

(19:43):
that's where you're going to be putting, putting you.

Speaker 4 (19:46):
You're welcome.

Speaker 1 (19:49):
To reiterate. We can't drink it today. I just want
to be clear. You do have to have some some
adult beverages if you are so unfined. Extra egnog Coquito
if you will, which brings me to Coquito is a
big part of our end of year celebrations. Would love
to talk about what your New Year's Eve traditions are.
On the other side of this, well, let's do it.

(20:16):

Speaker 4 (21:08):
Okay, nilas, then we will everybody to the l Huddle podcast. So, Mjay,
you and I were talking about like New Year's resolutions,
and I'm giving you a little bit more time to
think about and maybe flesh it out. But in the meantime,
we was talking about las traditions, right yeah, They're like,
well do that and the things that we would do

(21:28):
to celebrate Elonuebo, because there are certain traditions and things
that we do, one of them being las uvas doce
oh yeah, twelve grapes that you have to represent every
month of the year that you have to eat at midnight.
That is something that we did growing up.

Speaker 1 (21:49):
Did you guys do that one hundred percent? There wasn't
like my mom or my theas or whoever was throwing
the party. If there weren't grapes, Like, first of all,
there was always gonna be grapes. That was like the
first thing they bought. They had the pork, and they
had the grapes ready to go, and they were already
pre portioned out like somebody put them in the cups.
It was usually my job to take out twelve make
sure everybody had them. But yeah, it's like not New

(22:12):
Year's Eve if you don't have the twelve grapes representing
each month of the upcoming year. And that's another way
to sort of set intentions and set resolutions, right, like
a little superstitious, but I love it, and I just remember,
like as a kid, I would try to eat as
many of them as possible. My Mom's like, no, no, no,
take your time, Like this is an important this is
an important tradition for you to think ahead and represent

(22:33):
something for each month. You don't have to know which
month which thing is going to happen, but just know
that you have these like twelve bullet points of things
that are very important to you for the year ahead.
So I thought that was great.

Speaker 4 (22:43):
Yeah, that was definitely one of them. I talked to
my mom and she said that we would have new
clothes to wear when the new year would begin. Now
for me, New Year's New Year's feels like it's it's
an adult celebration more so than even a kid celebration.
I remember like banging on pots some pans, but I

(23:05):
feel like that's his pretty standard.

Speaker 1 (23:07):
Fair though, right, yeah, yeah, for sure. I did go
to one non Hispanic New Year's Eve celebration and it
was entirely centered around the children, and I thought that
was very cute, but I could not relate like we
were always there because as Latino kids, you just grow

(23:29):
up going to parties and you know it's going to
be a late night, and if you got to fall
asleep on top of a bunch of coats in another room,
so be it like you could sleep through the night,
through all the Meddane Gay and all the times I
was playing in the background, so like they were worried
about keeping us entertained, Like we would go run around
and play and right or would be we'd be in
the dance floor, like breaking it down. But I remember
going to this New Year's Eve party and it was

(23:51):
like every hour on the hour, they had something else
for the kids to do. Like I was like Wow,
this is intricate. But I was like, but also, where's
the one guys? I swear I don't have a drinking problem.
I'm just saying, no judgment adults. It's an adult party.
Typically many times there are children there as well, but
Latino's just just party differently, you know what I'm saying.

(24:14):
Like it was, it was interesting.

Speaker 4 (24:15):
Well, there's one thing that we didn't do, and I
know is the suitcases in Oh yeah, dragging them around?

Speaker 1 (24:26):
Did you do that? We did? We looked like lunatics,
but it is amazing. So the tradition is right up
midnight at you have your grapes in one hand or
a suitcase Juliane empty suitcase in the other hand, and
you run around the neighborhood around the black right to
to sort of manifest that there will be travel in

(24:48):
the new year ahead for you. So we of course
mushed everything together and we would have the grapes in
one hand so we're like chugging grapes. Then we have
the suitcase, and then somebody else would have the pots
and pans running around. So it works if you are
in a predominantly Latino neighborhood, so that peop understand what
you're doing, and they'll try to call the cops on you.

(25:08):
Otherwise it does look a bit odd, but yeah, we
did it every year. It helped out. Like a lot
of my family was in town from out of town,
so there were many many suitcases and bags readily available
for folks to grab it. We would just line them
up next to the door. Man, I miss those parties.

Speaker 4 (25:23):
Yeah, those, Yeah, it's it brings you back, right. I
remember also one New Year's again we were adults where
everybody had to wear red, and that also was a
tradition signifying loved underwear.

Speaker 1 (25:44):
Yes, not one I've heard.

Speaker 4 (25:46):
Yes, so that was one too. And I asked my
mom about.

Speaker 1 (25:50):
Yellow signify something too, right.

Speaker 4 (25:52):
So yeah, ye, yellow does signify and I think green
as well.

Speaker 1 (25:55):
That might green for money, yes, yeah, exactly.

Speaker 4 (25:59):
I was asking her about like maybe certain things that
we would have, and there was a thing called soa
and and it's actually a dessert. I talked about my
mom and desserts, and she loved desserts and this was
like this was you know where it has like a
little bit of whiskey on top of it's like this, no, no,
but it's a dessert.

Speaker 2 (26:19):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (26:19):
So so I know it seems like it's a soup
initially it's not. But like we would have that with
a little bit of whiskey in there, because I remember
like just just for like birthdays, like we we had
these we had these these these cakes that literally had
like alcohol in them and it was so harsh. Yeah,

(26:42):
but but it was like not even like yeah, but
but maybe not even rum cake. It might have been
like I don't know, Brandy or I don't know what
the hell was in these things.

Speaker 1 (26:52):
But it's like we would have yeah.

Speaker 4 (26:54):
Yeah, it's like like like these like cream puffs that
had uh, liquor on it, like liquor soaked cream puffs. Yeah. Yeah,
So those are those are some of the things. So
now now that we were talking about and those sorts
of things, now you get to the actual resolutions. For me, Okay,

(27:18):
like one of the resolutions is to really trying to
strengthen the bonds with people that I have been friends
with over the years that because of our lives getting
so hectic, hasn't been been something we've been able to do.
And whether it's just like work, kids, activities, whatever it is, travel,

(27:39):
et cetera. Work, it's just it's it's something that I
definitely need to work on and want to work on,
because you always feel better when you talk to somebody
that you had in a while, and I think it
puts a smile on your face and put a smile
on their face too.

Speaker 1 (27:55):
I think it also sort of trans transports you back
to that time in your life, right even if things
have progress and evolved and changed, you still remember like, Okay, no,
I'm still this person, and it's good to just have
like rekindle those connections. For sure. I love that will.
That's a great resolution. That's a great resolution.

Speaker 4 (28:14):
Yeah, yeah, Okay, So hopefully.

Speaker 1 (28:19):
You will, you will, you will because you're You're You're
naturally like a very intentional and thoughtful person. So I
feel like this is something that aligns with you very clearly.
So I don't think it will be difficulty for you
to do that, but I get it, like life be life,
and so it's tough to to sort of stick to
the past. For me this coming year, I really want
to focus on doing the things that scare me but

(28:41):
that I know that I know will push me outside
of my comfort zone. So not playing small or giving
into insecurities or being self conscious about things like let
go of I'm really trying to think back to my
younger self and like you couldn't tell her anything, Like

(29:01):
she was so much more fearless than I am now.
And I got to that point by having so many
conversations with other women about my career, about my trajectory
and like my tenacity and how many times I tried things,
even when I was rejected, which was a lot, even
the amount of nos that I heard, And I'm like,
why am I so hesitant to get rejected or to
hear knows? Now, Like I'm way more set on my

(29:25):
feet and more stable and I would hope, like more
sure of myself now, But back then I didn't care.
It was just so I was so resolute in the
things that really moved me, and so I want to
get some of that back. So that's what I'm leaning towards,
for sure.

Speaker 4 (29:42):
I love that. And knowing you you will, I mean,
because you are strong will and you are so successful
and you got to this point and just sometimes that trigger,
whatever it is, and also kind of being around other
people who are fearless, who have taken steps, it does
remind you that, hey, it's okay. It doesn't matter your age,

(30:04):
go for it.

Speaker 1 (30:05):
Go for it. You know, do we only got one
shot at this life, you know?

Speaker 4 (30:08):
Yeah, yeah, EMIN M thinking about that right. Well that's awesome.
I love that, And I know we'll keep tabs throughout
the year where hopefully we will be uh kind of
seeing the fruits of this, but we have to establish
it early on in the year.

Speaker 1 (30:27):
So I love I want to know Randy's resolution, Randy producer, Randy, Yeah,
yeahs oh man, I know, not to get you on
the spot.

Speaker 5 (30:40):
Funny enough, you know, I actually think it's pretty much
identical to what you're what you said, really being more
fearless because you know, like when you work in this
when you work especially in this kind of career in media,
and you kind of have to be creative and you
kind of have more liberties to sort of try new
things and try things, you like, it's really easy to

(31:02):
become complacent out of you know, fear or just this
belief that it's going to be a tall at task,
too tall to do. So I think this year I
want to like kind of push myself and doing more
things and learning more stuff and maybe trying to work
with the kind of content that I like, and you know,

(31:22):
overall just pushing myself and trying to do the things
that I normally wouldn't do because I feel scared because
to your point, like when I was young, I were
younger because I'm twenty seven now, I was like, you
couldn't tell me anything. Like when I was an intern,
my intern manager told me something which which stays with
me forever, which is like, if someone tells you no,
it doesn't necessarily mean it's the end. It simply means

(31:43):
the next opportunity. So it's like, if someone says no
to you, then you do what you have to do
in order to get to what you want to do
or where you want to be. So I think this
upcoming year, I definitely want to do that and kind
of like leave the whole fearfulness behind and just just
go for it.

Speaker 1 (31:59):
Yeah, Randy, Yeah, right, Okay, let's go.

Speaker 4 (32:04):
Yeah, I'm just gonna be stuck in my ways. I
don't want to do anything.

Speaker 1 (32:11):
Not at all, not at all. Thank you for coming
into this therapy session on It's a safe space, guys,
and I hope anything else. Finding this this community right
and building this community helps everyone feel more powerful and

(32:32):
more emboldened to really push through the things because I think,
to Randy's point, like, sometimes not just in this industry,
but in every industry, when you're in the grind of
what you do every single day, there are small things
that bleed in that make you forget what it was
that you set out to do in the first place,
because you get caught up sometimes in the hamster wheel

(32:53):
and in the just the cadence of things, right. You
don't mean to, but it happens. And I think it's
important to find a way to reset and to remind yourself, Okay,
what was my purpose? What is my goal? And how
can I continue on that path? And where do I
need to pivot? Where do I need to evolve, Because
there's a lot of change that has to happen throughout

(33:13):
that and of course, as humans were all a little
scared of change, it's a big thing. But usually on
the other side of that is where the true growth comes.
So I'm excited. Obviously I've been talking to the therapists
a little bit more lately, so I'm happy to pass
that on to you guys.

Speaker 4 (33:28):
Thank you all good, all good. That helps you, Hey,
go for it and do it. I do think that's
that's a healthy attitude, and I think that's really our
ebunto right there. Right, that's that's let's grow. Let's get better,
and let let's grow more of our listeners as well.
