Speaker 1 (00:05):
And Huddle is a production of the NFL in partnership
with Iheartradiosca.
Speaker 2 (00:15):
Barones about Weatherspoon there with the pick six on Daniel Jones.
Speaker 3 (00:36):
Wetherspoon had quite a game. Not only did he have
that pick six, he had also a couple of sacks.
That's ctle defense certainly looks legit to me. Right there.
We say, what's up everybody? This is the l Huddle
podcast where we celebrate Latino culture, the NFL and beyond
(00:57):
on Will Salva alongside my edmana my Prima, my prima
edmana mj Acosta.
Speaker 4 (01:07):
What a week?
Speaker 3 (01:08):
What a week? God, well, what a performance from the Giants.
I'm sure you're Hobby not too happy about it.
Speaker 1 (01:16):
Bless my husband's heart. Yeah, is very upset, very upset.
Speaker 3 (01:21):
Which part all of it, the lack of protection from
the offensive line, was.
Speaker 1 (01:28):
Very upset that there was They're like, we had a
chance and they bleeped it away. I'm trying to keep
this family show.
Speaker 4 (01:36):
But that he's we can do it in Spanish Spanish
because it's.
Speaker 1 (01:40):
Okay, Brooklyn, Like, it's not apropos this podcast. But that
is just a little a little taste of how upset
he was about this.
Speaker 5 (01:50):
I have other Giants fans of my family too, and
they're not thrilled.
Speaker 4 (01:54):
They text me like, it's my fault.
Speaker 5 (01:57):
What I'm on the field, I have the pads on.
Speaker 4 (02:00):
Yeah, we had a lot of getting sacks.
Speaker 3 (02:02):
I feel like he had a lot of personal in
these games over the weekend. Right, So first off, inquiring
minds want to know Ganny mascot of the l Huddle podcast,
your dog?
Speaker 5 (02:16):
Yes?
Speaker 3 (02:17):
Is he a Giants dog or a Dolphins dog?
Speaker 1 (02:22):
Given that both teams lost atrociously this weekend, I'm going
to the weekend prior, which was strategic by me about
when I asked him which team he would want. I
bought two Chung toys, yeah, video Giants one and a
Dolphins one, and he it wasn't my fault. He picked it.
Speaker 5 (02:40):
He picked the Dolphins toy, skirted off with it. He
loves it, has it in his playpen. I mean, look,
he spoke, he made his choice.
Speaker 3 (02:47):
All I know is that every single time that I
would see Stefan Diggs score, it reminded me of a
friend of mine who lives in Guadalajara, and every time
that he would drive, he would just slam the brakes
on it and go saluting, saluting, and we would jerk
full were in the car and he would do it
to mess with his sisters who were with us. He's
(03:08):
like salu thing salou thing. So I felt like every
time Stefon Diggs scored, I felt like he was saying
salu thing salou thing.
Speaker 1 (03:15):
I get the sense that my dad is going to
have a.
Speaker 5 (03:17):
Bills to toy for my dog.
Speaker 3 (03:19):
Oh yeah, has to very soon. Yeah, because that's the
that's the Bowl game right between you. Your dad loves
the Bills, obviously you love your dolphin.
Speaker 1 (03:29):
He only texts me a smiley face after that game out,
just a smiley face. I was like, wow, Dad, Wow, Yeah,
og is worth a thousand words when it comes to that.
But you know what, I feel like every team gets
that humbling moment in the season, right that ground.
Speaker 5 (03:46):
Dude, don't forget what you're up against.
Speaker 1 (03:49):
And I think I'm glad it's happening now, that happen now,
and like the Bills.
Speaker 5 (03:53):
Are really really tough team.
Speaker 1 (03:54):
Nobody at any point has discounted that or has stopped
believing that. So I think inherently, if in the AFC East,
everybody knew that the Bills were still very much the
team to beat. They's really proved it now we got
them nice and early. Re rack.
Speaker 4 (04:10):
Let's go onto another week.
Speaker 3 (04:12):
Well, the good news for you is that the Dolphins
are going to be facing the Giants who could not
tackle whatsoever.
Speaker 1 (04:22):
You got to get right.
Speaker 3 (04:23):
Yeah, so that's going to get right game where I
think that they are going to drop fifty on the Giants.
I truly believe that something because again, the Giants couldn't tackle,
no offensive line protection. Speak of Sakuon Barkley, Yes, he
would be a viable option because he's Saquon Barkley. But
Darren Waller, where have you been as wall got to
(04:43):
drop him for my past Yeah, pay me sadly, you
have to do that. But so that's that's a get
right game for them, And then for the Bills, who
look so good. They're going to be in London where
they're going to be facing the Jaguars next and somebody
is going to be in London for it.
Speaker 4 (05:07):
Very excited.
Speaker 1 (05:08):
I head out this weekend. I'll be doing the next
two games in London, so I'll be right on the sideline.
I'll get lots and lots of content for you guys. Yeah,
lots of video.
Speaker 5 (05:19):
I will bring back tea for all of us.
Speaker 1 (05:22):
It's gonna be great. I'm really excited. I went last
year for the London series.
Speaker 5 (05:27):
It was really really cool.
Speaker 1 (05:28):
So this year I get to see it in a
completely different capacity, directly from the sideline.
Speaker 5 (05:33):
So I'm really excited about.
Speaker 3 (05:34):
How are you feeling about traveling for his Not as
you will, because it's going to be ten days that
you're going to be there.
Speaker 5 (05:40):
That I'm going to be away from my dog.
Speaker 3 (05:41):
Yeah, very upset.
Speaker 1 (05:43):
Everyone says that the dog has separation anxiety. It's really me.
Speaker 4 (05:47):
I know it's you. It's really me.
Speaker 1 (05:49):
But Hubby's gonna take great care of him. I'm more
concerned because there are actual strikes scheduled the most Look,
just pay these people, all right, whatever it is, the
baggage handler, the luggage handler. Yeah, and he throw airport
whatever they want, get it to them.
Speaker 3 (06:05):
Okay, So how does that affect your packing strategy?
Speaker 6 (06:09):
Now?
Speaker 1 (06:09):
I don't know what to do because I am not
an efficient packer. I am an overpacker to the max.
I need options. I need options.
Speaker 3 (06:15):
You can have a roller bag.
Speaker 1 (06:17):
I'm gonna have a rollly gosh, I can't check a bag.
I'm too paranoid about it. That's the other thing.
Speaker 3 (06:22):
Yeah, and then you have to have the winter coach too, So.
Speaker 1 (06:25):
Three a trench coat and then like a thicker coat
on top on the plane right, ask them to put
them in the little in the little closet. Then in
my ROLLI bag, I will put shoes because that's what
takes the most, right, boots, sneakers, all that stuff. Then
you need a personal item. It's still personal to me,
but it's not gonna be very small. I'm just full
disclosure now. Vacuum seal bag. Yeah, there are way there
(06:48):
are strategies packing.
Speaker 3 (06:49):
I've never had the vacuum sealed bags. They're supposed to
make things a lot more condensed. You have room.
Speaker 1 (06:57):
It's it's literally like freeze dried clothes. Like it's just
very just all in makes it nice and flat, so
you can put more stuff in there. Okay, now, I
would imagine you probably packed like my husband, He's like, what,
we're there for five days?
Speaker 5 (07:11):
Any like a couple of pair of pants, one shirt.
Speaker 3 (07:14):
I've been better lately. I've been better lately. You just
take the roller and it's so much easier than going
to baggage claim and you get out so much faster.
Speaker 4 (07:24):
But ten days that's a long a loon.
Speaker 3 (07:28):
I know, I know, I know.
Speaker 4 (07:30):
I'm shressed.
Speaker 1 (07:31):
It's gonna be great. These are first world problems, but
it's going to be it's gonna be good. I will
report back on how I Yeah, I can't wait ten
day's worth of wardrobe into a carry on and a
personal So.
Speaker 3 (07:43):
We'll be talking to you from London. And that game
is going to be the Bills and the Jaguars. The
Jaguars who look like Saxonville, who last last Sunday, And
they got to the quarterback, they got to Desimond Ritter.
And I don't know if you have a chance to
see the broadcast that was on ESPN Plus. That was
(08:06):
the Toy Story one. My son and I were watching it.
He absolutely loved it, was so into it. How they
they did it. Supposedly they had a chip in all
the players shoulder pills. While yeah, they did such a
great job and so different from how we grew up
watching the game. The games, right and and now you
can see the Super Bowl on Nickelodeon, right right, Soildren, Yeah, hey.
Speaker 1 (08:32):
Whatever you want to do, you know, but I thought
it was really really cute and like great for the
kids right who are watching it in that breath, but
also really nostalgic for all of us, like elder millennials
who grew up on Toy Story and wanted to see
all all their favorite characters. I thought it was really smart.
Speaker 3 (08:47):
It was it was very smart. You know what else
is smart of us is to have a guest, and
we are going to have Armand he is a singer,
songwriter and collaborator. He collaborated with Braxton Barrios, your guy
from the Dolphins. Talked to him a little bit. Dominique gun, yes,
you're excited about that. Let's get Let's get a Nikana
(09:07):
Weinza in here. Okay, I need to That's this balance
this thing out. So so we're definitely going to do that,
and then we're gonna get into the big matchup that's
happening this weekend between the Cowboys and for all that
coming up on the.
Speaker 7 (09:37):
Solo Down, Yes, yes, down, Okay, Dave, listen, this is
like a special can't tell me nothing today because we
have owed Bisano Dominicano Latin music artists with us here
(10:02):
doing big things across the music, glands, game and now
go NF.
Speaker 4 (10:07):
Welcome to ed Huddle podcast. Armand was that?
Speaker 3 (10:10):
Yeah, man, thank you?
Speaker 8 (10:12):
What what's up? Okay? Okay?
Speaker 1 (10:19):
That first of all, let me found out where cousins.
All right, probably where's okay, let me all Dominicans are.
But you know what I'm saying. That's that's the thing.
If you ever, if you're ever anywhere, but especially like
in New York and the Heights, you go into a
vega and there's a Dominican, it's primo period. You're a primo.
Speaker 4 (10:35):
You're a yes or no m Yeah.
Speaker 8 (10:39):
Yeah, yeah, that's how it goes.
Speaker 3 (10:40):
Don't go.
Speaker 4 (10:48):
Everyone, We got you to.
Speaker 1 (10:49):
Got exactly that. But yeah, you and I were talking
about this, like the fusion of things because Armand music
is a fusion of R and B Regato Ribbean, a
little bit of American trap me too. And now you
have a collaboration with our boy from the Miami Dolphins.
(11:11):
Miami Dolphins. Very how was that collaboration and getting to
do this piece with him?
Speaker 8 (11:19):
Oh man, it was, it was very.
Speaker 6 (11:23):
It was.
Speaker 8 (11:23):
It was awesome.
Speaker 9 (11:24):
Actually, I've never met a NFL player, I've never met
any player actually from any sports. So to be able
to you know, work with him and and and have
him in this song and and for him to be
the inspiration. But having the song, it's it's really awesome.
So yeah, and being able to work with the NFL too,
(11:44):
you know, it's a dream like every artist, it's it's
like able to work with the NFL, you know, the
Super Bowl and everything and somo.
Speaker 8 (12:00):
That's that's one of the goals.
Speaker 6 (12:01):
You know.
Speaker 3 (12:10):
We always see like the musicians want to be athletes.
Athletes want to be musicians. And two castles, okay.
Speaker 8 (12:24):
And casto.
Speaker 4 (12:25):
I'm good.
Speaker 8 (12:28):
Why I'm not very good at sports? I think I
think you like it's not like.
Speaker 3 (12:42):
I is. That's coriendo. It is.
Speaker 1 (12:54):
Yeah, it's called self preservation armand would all run if
we weren't trained to to a American football. I got
ask you a quick question about the song though, because
I was watching the interview with you in Braxton and
he had like very specific layers that he wanted to hit.
He wanted to be a good beat, duh okay, and
(13:17):
a song that you could play with the windows down
in the car, and to incorporate his jersey number, which
by the way, is zero. This season, because that's a
new thing that the NFL is doing. Was it difficult
to incorporate all that into the song? Or are you
like bet that makes my job a little bit easier.
I have the recipe here.
Speaker 9 (13:32):
I think it made it a little bit easier because
I already had like the instructions, you know, I didn't you.
Speaker 8 (13:41):
Like you know you're think so this is It's not
like I had to, oh, what do I come up with?
Speaker 2 (13:50):
Now?
Speaker 8 (13:50):
You know, like I already had the themes then that
the head and LA. So it made it. I think
it made it a little bit easier.
Speaker 3 (14:01):
Yeah, I met though right, there's a there's a way
to a method to make music, and you have a
very specific one. Was there something that you learned from
him that he learned from you at the end that
you guys still carry with you in this relationship and
this partnership.
Speaker 8 (14:20):
I think, I think, I think.
Speaker 9 (14:25):
We have a lot of similarities between you know, sports
and music. You know, you you gotta be you gotta
be and focal simple and what you do you gotta
you know, I simply now and you always have the
(14:46):
say so it's it's always a competition, you know, Yeah,
it's always a competition, not only in sports, but also
in music too.
Speaker 8 (14:58):
Even if you don't want to be better then I
don't know then, but you always want.
Speaker 9 (15:03):
To better yourself and for that you gotta practice. You
gotta do a lot of music. For musicians, you gotta
go to practice for you know. So I think we
have a lot of similarities, even though we don't do
the same things, but I similar in LOLO.
Speaker 1 (15:24):
I think there's a fusion to right of music, of
the culture and sports. You almost can't have one without
the other. That's why guys listen to music before they
go on in the field. They have their hype game
song they have That's why this type of collaboration, to me,
was so spot on, especially when you're missing in LA
right in a place like Miami. I gotta ask you
(15:46):
because I saw you walking the Dolphins. Hat were you
screaming as much as I was last week? Put up
seventy points because it was.
Speaker 8 (15:57):
Yeah, that was that was That was amazing. That was
you know, that was and and for that to be
my first game, it's also awesome.
Speaker 4 (16:07):
You know, Oh wow, I was.
Speaker 1 (16:10):
So jelly that I wasn't there to take us there?
Speaker 2 (16:12):
What was?
Speaker 3 (16:13):
What?
Speaker 1 (16:13):
What did it feel like in the stadium.
Speaker 9 (16:16):
Yeah, crowd was going crazy. Yeah, okay every time come
okay they scored a yeah point we were local local.
That was just amazing, down down fanatic.
Speaker 8 (16:42):
Until I went to was at.
Speaker 1 (16:47):
Great first day.
Speaker 3 (16:51):
Okay, yeah.
Speaker 8 (16:58):
For Polytoria and I was there, so.
Speaker 1 (17:01):
Yeah, you'll never forget that.
Speaker 8 (17:02):
It's amazing, mam.
Speaker 1 (17:06):
Before we let you go, I have a very very
important question for you. Okay, probably the most important question
of the interview.
Speaker 4 (17:12):
You had to pick.
Speaker 1 (17:14):
Mangoo or maduros. If you only eat one for the
rest of your life, which one are we going at all?
Speaker 8 (17:25):
It was question, yeah, okay, unbelievable.
Speaker 4 (17:31):
Save here my friend I have.
Speaker 3 (17:32):
I had. I had one more question because asked to
mus and andsplicit to write. There's right, there's there's certain
words you got to be about that life and lass
and Espanol better better.
Speaker 10 (17:46):
It feels like in Espanolas so yeah, and Espanol come.
Speaker 4 (17:59):
Get big deal, comes.
Speaker 3 (18:01):
Fathers get big deal. So for you, you know you're
making this music again it's explicit, but in Spanish it
doesn't feel like anything in English. It's like, ah got
a host.
Speaker 8 (18:16):
I think I think it depends if you know more
Spanish if you know this, because.
Speaker 9 (18:24):
If I sing those songs to my grandma in English,
she's gonna be like, oh, what a beautiful song.
Speaker 8 (18:30):
What did you say?
Speaker 6 (18:31):
Now?
Speaker 8 (18:31):
If I do it in Spanish, I'm getting.
Speaker 3 (18:41):
So Yeah.
Speaker 8 (18:42):
I think it depends.
Speaker 1 (18:44):
Oh my god, it's hilarious.
Speaker 6 (18:46):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (18:47):
Oh man, armand killing it on Spotify and all over
the landscape. Thank you coming, that's awesome. We appreciate you.
And fins out my friend.
Speaker 8 (18:57):
Thank you guys so much. Get this coup.
Speaker 3 (19:33):
Diggs three touchdowns. See doesn't hurt more expanience. I guess
it hurts in any language. The reality is that when
the Bills are playing just good, solid football with Ken
Dorsey and Josh Allen the lined and Josh Allen is
not doing hero ball where I said that's that is
(19:56):
going to be the downfall of the Bills. If they
have a downfall, is when he's injury prone or not
injury prone, excuse me, turnover prone. We hope he's not
injury prone, but the fact that he's that, he's turnover
prone and against and against the Dolphins he was having
his way. Uh and and that's also why we say
that first week where we saw the Bills and yeah,
(20:18):
I mean that that's what That's why you can't rely
on that. And Sean McDermott called a terrific game. So
now looking at that division, we had talked about it, Bills, Dolphins,
the Jets are just going to try to to doggy paddle,
and the Patriots I know right now they are in
(20:38):
real trouble with Mac Jones in that offense.
Speaker 1 (20:41):
It'll still be that race between the Bills and Dolphins
all the way through, I believe, until we get playoffs
for sure. For me, of course, I'm watching the Dolphins
and I'm like, the defense needs to step up, the
secondary to step up. Like first of it was a
good shootout. First half of the game, right back and forth.
I was like, all right, here we go.
Speaker 5 (21:00):
Second half non existent.
Speaker 4 (21:02):
Yeah, you cannot do that.
Speaker 1 (21:04):
No, the offensive onslaught that can come your way, And
that's exactly what happened. It was an avalanche avalanche and
once it started, there was no stopping it. But you
have to be able to do that, not just against
the Bills, but look at the other teams in the
AFC that you'll likely have to go up against in
the post. Ridiculous, very upset about it. But again, I'm
glad that we're seeing these things now. Yeah, plenty of
(21:26):
time in the season. I say, we like I'm lazy
here there to know what I'm saying, that proverbial we
from the fan base. But yeah, the Bills are still
as real of a deal as they have been the
last few seasons and a hell of a challenge.
Speaker 3 (21:42):
Yeah, and right now I believe they're in that same
group of the forty nine ers and the Eagles question
chiefs yep, and coincidentally upper echelon, And coincidentally, we're going
to have on Sunday the forty nine Ers and the
Cowboys again. And we know what the forty nine ers
(22:03):
did to the Boys in the playoffs yep, the last
two postseasons. So of course, naturally, Dak Prescott was asked
about the forty nine ers just after they had won
their game, and this is what he had to say.
Speaker 11 (22:22):
What was the field leaving that locker in last January
against those guys?
Speaker 3 (22:30):
Know what I mean, It's obvious.
Speaker 11 (22:31):
I mean, we're so far past that, to be honest
with you, but that's obvious. I mean, you just want
to piss me off going to this weekend. I appreciate that.
I do, Actually I do. Yeah, I appreciate that. Appreciate
that lost. I mean every day, every day, every day time,
every day.
Speaker 1 (22:51):
Bombastic side I from Zach on that point darts, She's like,
are you kidding me?
Speaker 3 (22:58):
Right now?
Speaker 1 (22:58):
That's what he was thinking in his head for sure.
But you saw that switch.
Speaker 5 (23:02):
He's like, you know what, good reminder bulletin board material for.
Speaker 3 (23:06):
Them, for sure, for sure.
Speaker 1 (23:07):
But it's it's gonna be tough because the forty nine
ers have not slowed down one bit.
Speaker 3 (23:14):
No quite.
Speaker 5 (23:15):
Frankly, their powers have one incompletion by.
Speaker 3 (23:18):
Brock party one yeah, one, Yeah, It's ridiculous out.
Speaker 5 (23:23):
I'm so I'm so happy for Brock.
Speaker 4 (23:24):
I love this for him.
Speaker 3 (23:25):
Now, this has been a great story. Now for the Cowboys.
They steamroll the Patriots. We're talking about them, Mac Jones
underdressed the whole time. They were able to get uh,
you know, turnovers, and they look like the Dallas defense
that we had seen the first couple of weeks, not
the Dallas defense that got all they could handle from
(23:48):
the Cardinals. Right.
Speaker 11 (23:49):
And so.
Speaker 3 (23:51):
The issue that the Dallas offense has is the red zone.
They can't just end these drives against the forty nine
ers with field goals. You just you can't do it. No,
you can't do it.
Speaker 1 (24:03):
You have to put you have to a tug every
time you're in the red zone or it's not going
to be a good day for you. I'm really excited
for this game because I think the forty nine ers
certainly know that the Cowboys have circled.
Speaker 4 (24:14):
This on their calendar.
Speaker 3 (24:16):
So the barometer for this oh, no question.
Speaker 1 (24:18):
So this is going to be a great, great little battle.
But we got to talk about who our top guys
were from the past week.
Speaker 5 (24:26):
Let's start with your Perro MACHOs.
Speaker 4 (24:28):
Yeah, there you go, heal.
Speaker 3 (24:35):
So, Mike Berro Macho, I have plural, I should say
Berro MACHOs. I have two. One of them is in
Houston and that would be the rookie quarterback. Go CJ. Stroud.
What he has been doing is been fun. He's getting
guys involved like Tank Dell, Nico Collins. Hello, they have
(25:00):
a different swag to them now that Demico Ryans is there.
Speaker 4 (25:05):
Confidence and so does Stroud.
Speaker 3 (25:07):
Like he has guys over at his house. There's this
feeling of chemistry amongst them, just a different, different sense
of urgency every Sunday when they play, and they are
a direct reflection of Damico Ryans and he has over
twelve hundred yards passing no interceptions as well. Like that
(25:30):
is the poise and confidence to be able to make plays.
And that's the reason they're two and two right now,
where yes, quietly in a division that, oh, by the way,
is very gettable. At this point, I think most people
were thinking Jacksonville, who you're gonna get a chance to
see it close, would be the foregone conclusion winner, and
(25:50):
that the Colts would be rebuilding. The Cults are two
and two as well, yep, so I forget about them.
So for me, CJ. Stroud, one of my perro MACHOs,
I have two actually, and so the other one being
Khalil of the Chargers. He went off tee it off
on poor Aiden o'cara, on poor Aidan O'Connell. He just
(26:15):
was was harassed the whole time, six sacts, one shy
of the record. Remember he's thirty two years old. A
lot of people thought he didn't have any juice left
and he just absolutely had his way. There was there
was no way they could they could block him. And
granted the offensive line for the Raiders not very good.
They have They have been makeshift for for the early
(26:38):
part of this season. You got a rookie quarterback back there.
Either way, you can't take away from Khalil Mack. And
that's what the charges are going to need moving forward,
especially if there's going to be questions about Joey Bosa's
health moving forward. So those are my perro MACHOs. But
I feel like we're missing something else. We're missing Salita.
(27:03):
So he is ibod and so that would be no power.
Speaker 1 (27:08):
I love it. Yeah, for everyone listening to us talk
about this forty nine Ers and Cowboys matchup coming up
and wondering how we possibly could not have mentioned Christian
McCaffrey in any of that at all, it's because we
were saving it for this.
Speaker 3 (27:26):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (27:27):
The man was an absolute wrecking ball. I mean, what
can't Christian McCaffrey do. Twenty rushing attention, three touchdowns, seven
receptions for seventy one yards, and another chug in the air.
He is the sole reason why I'm still alive in
fantasy football.
Speaker 3 (27:45):
Yeah, well, well he was one of the reasons why
my son's team lost as thirty points as he did.
Speaker 4 (27:52):
Yeah, it's like thirty something.
Speaker 5 (27:54):
I gotta look at the he had double the points
of my fantasy quarterback.
Speaker 3 (27:58):
No, he was in the forties. He could do no
wrong there forteen that.
Speaker 1 (28:03):
Look, I was just informed I won my battle this week. There,
congratulations McCaffrey because of that.
Speaker 3 (28:09):
No, they split him out wide too, it doesn't matter.
Speaker 4 (28:12):
He'll catch it, passes anywhere.
Speaker 3 (28:16):
That's ridiculous.
Speaker 4 (28:20):
Yeah, that was more than Josh Allen.
Speaker 3 (28:24):
That's crazy. He means so much. Hey, listen, he's the
early MVP candidate, I would think. And when you think
of MVP candidates who are running backs, because there's been
so few of them. Adrian Peterson when he won it
that year, his first four games, his stats, I mean,
get blown out of the water by Christian McCaffrey. So
(28:47):
right now, Christian McCaffrey should be the early front runner.
I know it's going to probably go to a quarterback,
right to Josh Allen, somebody like.
Speaker 1 (28:56):
That derivative, Yes, right, always up, do something different. I mean,
time will tell what happens to the rest of the year.
But if he keeps going like this, it'd be undeniable.
Speaker 3 (29:08):
No, undeniable, I think right now what's undeniable is that
the Raiders have issues. The Raiders have issues, as we
mentioned against the Chargers, and we had heard from Davante
Adams the week before right where he said that he
wanted the ball. He was disappointed in how things are
going talking about culture, which we said was too early
(29:30):
to talk about. Well, was Jacobs exactly Josh Acobs. He
weighed in on the losing that's been taking place here
in Las Vegas, and he was, let's just say, none
too happy about it.
Speaker 6 (29:44):
For me, it's frustrating, man, And how to louse just
keeping on, honey, louver man. And I mean, I feel
like every day I go in and I work so
so eventually some gotta give.
Speaker 4 (30:00):
It really does.
Speaker 3 (30:00):
But what is it that needs to give? I mean,
Jimmy g has to be healthy again. The offensive line
has issues.
Speaker 1 (30:07):
There's lots of fix.
Speaker 3 (30:09):
There is a lot to fix. And every time you
looked at those cutaways of Josh McDaniel's he looked just pained.
And so you're hearing from Devonte Adams, you hear from
Josh Jacobs. We want to see the Raiders be a
good team and this just seems to be a team
that's missing something at the moment. And I don't know
if they're going to be able to get that. So
(30:30):
the Raiders are a team that has issues another team,
the Bengals.
Speaker 1 (30:35):
Yeah, yeah, that's I don't think anybody saw that coming,
even though with that training camp injury that we saw
with Joe Burrow, we figured okay, but like you, it's Joe.
He's come back from injury before. It'll be fine, and
he is not the same, not yet anyway.
Speaker 5 (30:52):
It sucks to see, to be honest.
Speaker 3 (30:54):
It sucks because right now he's as mobile as a
Washington monument. Oh and that's just a honestly just being
one hundred percent like Josh Jacobs was being right there.
This is what Jamar Chase had said in the locker
room about the losing that's taking place there and the
fact that he's not getting the ball as much as
he'd liked.
Speaker 8 (31:14):
I'm open, I'm always open.
Speaker 11 (31:16):
Excuse me, Mychael Fane.
Speaker 9 (31:17):
I'm sorry.
Speaker 3 (31:19):
He was apologizing about the profanity, but not a fact correct.
Speaker 1 (31:23):
I said what I said, but I'm sorry I said
it that way. Yeah, And I mean I think that's fair.
I think that's more than fair.
Speaker 3 (31:30):
Do you bet? But do you think MJ that Burrow
should be sidelined for a couple of weeks to rest
up that calf, it's obviously, or just put him out
there because Zach Taylor he was asked about it and
he said, uh, really, he's still going to be our
starting quarterback.
Speaker 5 (31:50):
The my question is is he.
Speaker 1 (31:52):
Still seriously hurt because obviously it's giving him some issues.
Obviously there's a big hesitation. It's very clear that he
is not. I know he has said last week after
a game, Oh, you know, we're going to get there.
Speaker 3 (32:06):
We're going to get there.
Speaker 5 (32:06):
But how much and how much risk are you putting
him in?
Speaker 1 (32:08):
If he's not one hundred percent and something happens to him,
happens to him out there, then you're back to where
he started.
Speaker 4 (32:14):
You still got a sign line him. I don't know.
Speaker 5 (32:16):
I get coach being like, nah, that's our guy, that's
who we're putting out there. But risk reward I guess.
Speaker 3 (32:21):
At this point, Well, how about this. The game against
the Cardinals is a must win for them, and the
Cardinals don't roll over for opponents as we've seen in
the early going. This is really critical game for them.
Speaker 5 (32:34):
Such a wild start of the year.
Speaker 3 (32:36):
Yes, wild start, so we'll see what happens. Yeah, either way,
those are of these situations in Vegas and in Cincinnati.
But now it is the time we put a bow
on the program, a little segment. Will I call e.
Speaker 5 (32:54):
What's off?
Speaker 2 (32:55):
Oh?
Speaker 3 (32:55):
You want me to do? The mine is going to
be Christian Gonzales, and I'll tell you why, because he
suffered a shoulder injury. Looks like he's going to be
out indefinitely. He'd played so well the early going with
the Patriots. He showed that he belongs in that defensive
(33:17):
backfield and there was a lot of trust from Bill
Belichick in him. And while we're at it and talking
about injuries and the Patriots, also Matthew Judah as well.
He is the heart and soul of that defense. He's lost.
And I know that people want to dance on the
grave of the Patriots because they've been so good for
so long. And now you have to openly question would
(33:42):
Bill Belichick consider stepping away if this is the team
that he's going with the way that Mac Jones is playing.
Either way, that's obviously a different conversation with him. But
I say, you know, Christian Gonzalez, we've had his sister
on and so sweet, and she was so proud of
(34:04):
her brother, as she should be, and so I feel
like we're being deprived of seeing him really shine in
the big stage. So that's my bunto, Christian.
Speaker 5 (34:17):
Speedy recovery, my friend.
Speaker 3 (34:18):
But some people, Yeah, yeah, exactly, I wish it was
not easy, right, It's always my bunto.
Speaker 1 (34:25):
Is a bit of a payoff from earlier in the
show because you asked about Gunny and Team Alliance.
Speaker 5 (34:31):
And I I just want to prove that there's proof
of this of concept.
Speaker 3 (34:37):
Okay, little video of when I want to see this.
Speaker 5 (34:41):
Any Did you know that the Dolphins are winning.
Speaker 4 (34:45):
Fifty six to thirteen?
Speaker 11 (34:48):
Yeah, yeah, yeah, are good boy?
Speaker 3 (34:57):
Okay, so cute.
Speaker 5 (35:02):
You'll you'll notice I did not ask Gunny this week.
Speaker 1 (35:04):
His team just left alone.
Speaker 4 (35:06):
We left it alone, one and done.
Speaker 1 (35:08):
He has a MoMA's boy, though, so he knows better
than to bite the hand that feeds him. Yeah, let's hope,
for Gunny's sake and for sake that there's a bounce
back this week.
Speaker 4 (35:19):
Only one. Yeah, one will prevail.
Speaker 1 (35:22):
We're going to do the experiment over and see what happens.
I'll have him predict the game. Yeah, but THENTO is
that it's still early in the season, y'all. A lot
can happen. You can turn around. We've seen just as
early as last year, teams start off real slow and
then suddenly boom.
Speaker 5 (35:37):
So if your team is not doing great right now,
it's all right, it's all right.
Speaker 3 (35:41):
Take a breath still early on.
Speaker 1 (35:43):
Take a breath now if.
Speaker 5 (35:44):
We're talking about this in late November, but for right
now it's still early. It's gonna be all right. Everybody.
Speaker 4 (35:51):
Hey, we have a lot to do. I have a
lot to pack.
