Speaker 1 (00:00):
It's a week eleven edition of the Fantasy Football Podcast.
I'm Marcus Grant and I'll be joined by Adam Rank
and Cynthia Freeland will tell you if there will be
fantasy rain on the plane in Spain. Plus how happy
should you be if Trayvon Henderson is on your team?
And Cynthia Dust's off the trade machine where there are
a pair of chargers on the trading block?
Speaker 2 (00:19):
Wow, heks Friday.
Speaker 1 (00:30):
Everybody, welcome to another edition of NFL Fantasy Live. I'm
Marcus Grant. That's Adam Rank and joining us on a Friday.
It is Cynthia Freeland Sin and it's good to see you.
One question, did you avoid getting travion last night?
Speaker 3 (00:43):
I got a I did. I avoided it, thank goodness.
But I am just here to get the humble brags
on Monday.
Speaker 2 (00:50):
That is what I'm here for.
Speaker 3 (00:51):
I'm here for the humble brags.
Speaker 4 (00:53):
You know what, Cynthia, here's my personal goal. I want
you to have at least, you know what, I'll say,
more than four and a half humble brags on Monday.
Speaker 2 (01:02):
You can take it to the We're bad right obviously.
Speaker 1 (01:09):
Travon Henderson was the big story of the night last
night on Thursday Night Football as the Patriots got their
eighth straight win beating the Jets. But let's talk about
some of the things that we also learned from watching
that game last night. And for you, right, what was
one of the things you took away from.
Speaker 4 (01:23):
This is that is adp of Travion Henderson. Third round
now starting to look like a genius move. I don't
want to call anybody out who's not here to defend themselves,
but somebody was on an NFL Fantasy Live show in
August who said I'll draft him in the third round.
The third round arrived, that person did not take him.
Guess who did take him?
Speaker 1 (01:40):
Me?
Speaker 2 (01:41):
And so when you.
Speaker 4 (01:41):
Talked about people getting Trevion Henderson, no, no, no, I
delivered the Travion Henderson blow to a lot of people.
This is It's so funny, like how much your perception
of Thursday Night Football changes depending on like did I
have Travion Henderson? I did I love Thursday Night Football?
Speaker 2 (01:58):
Last week?
Speaker 4 (01:58):
I didn't start Bone Nicks went against Bo Nicks and
a couple of smouth to'm.
Speaker 2 (02:01):
Like, this is amazing. We shouldn't do this all.
Speaker 4 (02:04):
Well, I guess we did. Do it every week, but
still I'm in the camp of like, I love Thursday
night football right now.
Speaker 2 (02:11):
Well, I had to start Justin Field's in a super flex.
Speaker 1 (02:13):
League and some sort of about it. I mean, here's
the thing. He got me nineteen fantasy points, which actually
isn't terrible.
Speaker 2 (02:19):
Wait a minute, really, but yeah.
Speaker 1 (02:21):
Because he had a rushing touchdown, he had a passing touchdown.
Watching it was an absolute slog though average fewer than
four and a half yards per attempt, just two completions
that went more than six air yards. Now five games
with fewer than one hundred and twenty passing yards. We
do love the rushing upside in fantasy, but at this point,
the way the Jets offense has failed to move the
(02:41):
ball consistently, it's hard to imagine that Aaron Glenn is
going to continue to go with him as the starting quarterback.
So as much as we love him as a fantasy quarterback,
it might.
Speaker 2 (02:50):
Just be a rap.
Speaker 4 (02:51):
And at the end of the game it was his
fault for getting the ball under the hands of his receiver.
Speaker 2 (02:55):
Ah.
Speaker 3 (02:56):
I mean, okay, look the other guys you talk about
having a clock in your head, well, you know who
doesn't even need a clock because like he's playing backyard
football and every single down and it is working. For
it's Drake may who is saving our fantasy lives. I
definitely drafted him later than other people or later than
maybe some people expected to draft him, and thank goodness
I did because I don't know, I had that first
(03:18):
pick in our fantasy league. And Saquon Barkley has not
had the production that you know, we were hoping from him,
and so ultimately, Drake May he's saving my fantasy season.
Speaker 1 (03:30):
Mayde mayda fantasy team down. We need some help.
Speaker 2 (03:33):
Thank thank thanks.
Speaker 1 (03:36):
Anyways, let me talk just talk more about that game
a little bit, because obviously the Patriots are playing good
football right now.
Speaker 2 (03:42):
They have won eight in a row.
Speaker 1 (03:44):
Are we at a point rank where all those skill
position guys in New England are startable assets.
Speaker 2 (03:48):
Well, here's the thing.
Speaker 4 (03:49):
As much fun as we're having sitting here talking about
Trevion Henderson and how what a revelation he's been over
the last couple of weeks, like Ramandre Stevenson is going
to return at some point, which it gives us a
little bit of consternation, but as we see right there,
this offense is really starting to feel itself, and Josh
McDaniels has been there for years. This offense can support
two running backs now. Obviously, Romadre Stevenson is gonna return,
(04:11):
He's gonna have a role, he's gonna steal some touchdowns.
There are gonna be instances where our guy Trevion Henderson
is not going to score thirty points. But I still
think that we're in the realm to where you can
expect somewhere between fifteen maybe twenty points a week from Henderson.
Romadre Stevenson will get his thing. I would like a
little bit more clarity if with the wide receiver position,
(04:32):
but again, this is a Josh McDaniels thing. If you
think about it, Back in the days of Julian Edelman
and Danny Emmen Dolan, all those guys outside of Randy Moss,
we have not been able to trust a Patriots wide
receiver for years. So basically it's just the same as
it ever was, all right, So you know, the more
things changed, I just think Rabel's a little bit more fun.
No disrespect the Bill, but like Rabel seems.
Speaker 1 (04:53):
Like a good it seems like a little a little
more of a jokester. Than No, I mean that what
I'm just I like anyway, no comment. The guy who
was formerly the quarterback of the New England Patriots, Mac Jones,
might be getting a seat this week because we go
to San Francisco. Niner sad coach Kyle Shanahan spoke to
NBC Sports Bay Area yesterday and announced that both Brock
(05:14):
Party and Ricky Pearsall were back on the field this
Sunday against the Arizona Cardinals.
Speaker 2 (05:19):
In Arizona.
Speaker 1 (05:20):
Party had been dealing with a toe injury, Pearsaw with
a knee injury, but both are in a good spot
and ready to be back in your fantasy lineup this weekend.
So samek as we get to the game previews, we
do have brought Purty a little bit of a home coming,
right goes back to Arizona where he's going to make
the start for the San Francisco forty nine ers. But
any other Niners maybe that you have your eye on
(05:41):
to plug in this week.
Speaker 3 (05:42):
Well, I would definitely say Ricky Pearsall is worth putting
in your starting lineup, depending on what your other wide
receiver situation happens to be. But George Kittle this forecasts
to be a pretty nice game for him. I'm starting
him for a lot of reasons. Number one, I know
that you get this cool stat where how he's such
a great teammate, where it's like almost a yard more
per rush when you're looking at him on the field
(06:04):
and at twelve personnel than when he's not on the field.
I don't care. Now he's going to be the subject
of passes as well. This is a very pass happy team.
This is a team who's excited to get their starting
quarterback or their Ian mac Jones has been playing really well,
but they're excited to get Brock pretty back as well,
and George Kittle to me forecast to benefit from that.
Even though Arizona's defense they do have Buddha Baker, who
(06:27):
I love, but ultimately they match twelve personnel with bass,
meaning more opportunities for space for Kittle to work.
Speaker 2 (06:35):
Yeah.
Speaker 4 (06:35):
I love both tight ends in this one, not only
George Kittle, but Trey McBride. And one of the reasons
we love Trey McBride is because of his quarterback d
Kobe Burssett, who is a sleeper this week. He's at
least nineteen Fantasy points at each of his four starts
this season, he is averaging close to two hundred eighty
passing yards per game, the second most pass attempts per
game as the start of the season. Now, a lot
(06:56):
of that is because they're trailing, but I do expect
this to be the high scoring. The forty nine Ers
defense has allowed the second most passing yards per game
since Week five.
Speaker 2 (07:06):
That's got to be right around the time that Fred
Wonder went down.
Speaker 4 (07:08):
It might, it might or might not be a coincidence,
but I think you can absolutely start as Jacoby Brissett
this week.
Speaker 1 (07:14):
We love Jacoby Brissett for getting a lot of those
other guys involved in playing well himself on his own merit.
Next up, what might be the game of the week
on paper. Heading over to the SOFI Stadium there for
the Seahawks and the Rams and a lot of things
to watch, a lot of things to.
Speaker 2 (07:28):
Be excited about.
Speaker 1 (07:29):
The Seahawks running backs are not one of those things
to be excited about. You are sitting at a Seahawks running
back if you have one. They actually have one of
the highest run play percentages in the league because they're
running the ball a lot, But they are also one
of the least efficient run games in the NFL, averaging
just three point eight yards per carry. That's fourth worst
in the league. You got Zach Charbonay, who's incredibly touchdown reliant.
(07:50):
You got Keimmith Walker, who can be explosive but pretty
much only works between the twenty yard lines. On top
of it, the Rams have just been a miserable matchup
for running backs this year. They've given up the fifth
he was rushing guards to the position just to count him.
Two touchdowns to running backs allowed all season long. So
it's been tough to start a Seahawks running back. It's
going to be almost impossible, I think, to try to
start one this week.
Speaker 3 (08:11):
Well, I'm going for can you please do the R
word for me? Please? Exactly, thank you. No one does
it better than Marcus. But Cooper Cup returns to SOFI Stadium.
He says it doesn't matter. He says he doesn't care.
I don't know if I think any of those things
are true. I think that's just what you say. But
the other reasons for liking his opportunities this week, they're
(08:32):
all in terms of the math meeting. He's second on
the team in targets, receptions, and receiving yards. And he
is the thirty third most fantasy points per route run
among wide receivers last week. So I'm looking at those
nine or more fantasy points in three of the last
four games, and I think maybe there's some extra play
action opportunities for him in catching passes from Sam Darnald
(08:52):
against his former team.
Speaker 1 (08:55):
I also believe I think they're doing like a kind
of a tribute to Cooper Cup before the game?
Speaker 2 (08:58):
Are they having up this week? So maybe it's trying maybe.
Speaker 1 (09:01):
Try and calm him down so he doesn't go big
reverse psychology mess.
Speaker 2 (09:04):
What is that? That's a good move? Yeah, there is.
Speaker 1 (09:07):
We'll go from the NFC West to the AFC West,
the big one between the Chiefs.
Speaker 2 (09:11):
And the Broncos. And what are you looking at here?
Speaker 1 (09:13):
Ran?
Speaker 4 (09:13):
Well, I'm gonna go with Rashi Rice as a start.
I know it seems pretty automatic, like why wouldn't I
be starting him?
Speaker 2 (09:19):
You know what?
Speaker 4 (09:20):
Believe it or not, a lot of people have been
hitting me up on threads asking me, is this a
good start this week? You don't do threads?
Speaker 2 (09:27):
What are you a boomer? Yeah?
Speaker 4 (09:29):
Listen, join us kids on threads. But here's my thing,
Rashi Rice is average over twenty two Fantasy points per
game since Week seven, which is the fifth most amongst
wide receivers. He's at at least eighteen Fantasy points in
three consecutive games. He's also getting end zone opportunities as well,
So I understand tough matchup, you have a lot of oportunity.
I think this is more for people who have two
(09:49):
wide receivers and they're trying to decide do I put
him in my flax?
Speaker 2 (09:52):
Do I do?
Speaker 4 (09:53):
Yeah? Absolutely, We're starting Rashi Rice this week.
Speaker 1 (09:55):
Well, in my mastered on chat group, I'm telling folks
that they have to sit bow knicks this week because
as much as we want to be a bow leaver
on this show, the last few weeks have been sort
of up and down. Three without one hundred and seventy
five passing yards and three of his last five games,
and he's kind of been bit by the interception bug lately,
four picks in his last three going against the Chiefs
pass defense that's ranked fifth is given up just nine
(10:16):
touchdown passes this season. On top of it, the rushing
upside that we've seen from Nick has kind of gone
away recently. He's actually had negative rushing yards in two
of his last three games. So look, chances are, if
you have bo Nicks, you have another option. I would
try to look to that other option if you have
the option opportunity to do that.
Speaker 2 (10:33):
This week, all right, we are going to.
Speaker 1 (10:35):
Shift our focus to what's going on over on the
European scene, namely because we got the Washington Commanders and
the Miami Dolphins playing in that one and Cynthia, what
are you watching for over there in Madrid?
Speaker 3 (10:45):
Well, Jalen Wattle is obviously someone that you are absolutely
without a doubt starting. You need to target this defense.
They're giving up about a million yards per reception. That's
a conservative figure, but it is a very generous to
opposing downfield passers, and Jalen Waddell has been able to
absolutely exploit that the team. I think that this will
(11:07):
be a nice rallying cry. I know that it's supposed
to be a little bit rainy there as well, but
I don't care. I still think to a tongue of
Iloa will get him the ball in space and take
that opportunity to really just target different areas of the defense,
just like Dan Campbell at the Lions did last week.
Speaker 4 (11:22):
You know, I'm going to say that Devona h Chan
is a must stard. We understand that one of the
things that we love about him is that he's a
great receiver out of the backfield. Six games with at
least five receptions this year. Only CMC has more. One
of the things that I've really been impressed about this
season is that they've gone back defeating them the ball
in between the tackles. He's averaging over five yards per
rush this season. Now he's got a great matchup against
(11:43):
the Commanders, who are allowed the fourth most rushing yards
to running backs since Week six.
Speaker 1 (11:47):
Marcus, all right, Well, as we mentioned, the Commander's square
off against the Dolphins is Sunday Morning Football makes its
Madrid debut, presented by net app. Get ready to wake
up and watch because here our stars come out in
the morning, Sunday, ninth thirty am Eastern only on NFL
Network and also streaming with NFL Plus.
Speaker 2 (12:04):
Subscription required for.
Speaker 1 (12:05):
NFL Plus is it plus dot NFL dot com for
terms showdown in the AFC North between the Bengals and
the Steelers. And Cynthia methinks that that music video suggests
you want to talk about Jamar Chase here.
Speaker 3 (12:18):
Yeah, you're gonna want to start him. I mean, I
understand that this is automatic spoiler alert. I'm looking for humblebrags,
and this is one that I feel very strongly about.
He wears that Number one, it's going to be a
big opportunity against the stealers secondary that we've seen have
some interesting results. And remember what happened last time out,
(12:40):
which you know history, it rhymes, it's not it doesn't
necessarily repeat itself. But I am not as concerned as
some people about Joe Flacco being able to connect with
Jamar Chase. I also think, you know who, no time
is a real thing for this team, and if they
even want to have, you know, a chance in Joe
bro making a meaningful return, they really need to get
(13:00):
going in this matchup.
Speaker 4 (13:02):
And if we're starting Jamar Chase, I'm gonna say you
can go ahead and start both quarterbacks in this matchup.
Let's start with Joe fla. Let's start with Aaron Rodgers
right here. Despite the fact that he has looked his
age a little bit, I don't know, but he's still
been pretty efficient.
Speaker 2 (13:16):
He did, he did.
Speaker 4 (13:18):
He has average twenty seven Fantasy points per game over
the last four He did have a great game against
him last time, getting nearly twenty three fantasy points. Joe
Flacco is the one that I'm rolling with this week.
I had to pick him up or I'm starting him,
especially in leagues where you get six points for passing touchdowns.
If I was a lesser man, I would point out
the fact that our showrunner, who is a Cincinnati person,
didn't want us to put in the Joe Flacco news
(13:39):
when he was traded. To me, He's like, who cares
about this for fantasy? I'm like, Joe Flacco is going
to be amazing, But you know what, I'm not going
to bring it up because I think that would be
beneath me. I don't want to be that kind of person.
Speaker 2 (13:48):
No what, you know what I'm.
Speaker 1 (13:49):
Saying, We're not ready, Like I'm saying, I'm saying, I'm
not saying it.
Speaker 4 (13:53):
I'm saying I'm not saying it. Please be there with me.
Speaker 2 (13:56):
Don't go put in the paper that I got mad.
Speaker 1 (13:58):
Staying in the AFC North, we have the artists formerly
known as the Cleveland Browns taking on the artists currently
known as the Cleveland Browns. And when we are looking
at this one, Cynthia what are you paying attention to?
Speaker 3 (14:08):
Okay, So in this game, there's a lot of different
ways to slice this one. When I'm looking at like
Denzel Ward is likely not going to play. This team
planes a ton of man. They also blitz, and if
they do that, good luck because it's going to be
Lamar Jackson and a bunch of space. If you give
him open space to work with, have fun, have fun
with Dave Flowers running all over you. So for me,
(14:30):
Zay Flowers, he's a top five receiver this.
Speaker 1 (14:31):
Week, I'm telling you you can start Quinn Shawn Judkins.
He's got sleeper vibes for me this week. He made
his NFL debut against the Baltimore Ravens way back in
Week two. Now, very few people I think had the
courage to start him, but he actually got sixty one
rushing yards on Tim Kerry's actually had ten Fantasy points
in that one as well. He's got five games this
year with seventy five or more rushing yards. Baltimore's defense
(14:54):
has been better over the last couple of weeks, but
they were still giving up chunk plays on the ground
to Aaron Jones against Vikings last week. So I think
there's a real opportunity for Quinn Shawn Judkins to make
some plays here. I think, you know, the Browns want
to try to control the football as much as possible
and try to keep it away from that Ravens offense
when and where they can.
Speaker 2 (15:12):
All right, heading down to duval.
Speaker 1 (15:15):
Worthy, Chargers and Jaguars will meet for the first time
since that epic Charger collapse in the playoffs.
Speaker 2 (15:21):
Oh, I didn't mean to mention that. Why are you
bringing up old stuff? I'm sorry, I didn't.
Speaker 1 (15:25):
I don't I didn't mean to not mention it or
whatever it was you said. Anyway, Cynthia, is there a
running back for maybe you have the lightning bolts you're
paying attention to.
Speaker 3 (15:33):
Absolutely Kamani Videll. I think he's a great opportunity to
help his quarterback not get hit so freaking much. Justin
Herbert has taken twenty more than twenty more quarterback hits
than any other quarterback this season. If they want to
last to the playoffs, if they want to make a
real shot at having you know, a trip to I
don't know, Santa Clara late in this season, they need
(15:55):
to start running the football more. This is what Jim
Harball wants to do with Kimani Viadell looks like he
is the guy who's going to do it for them,
and it's a good opportunity against this Jags front who's
had I'm gonna call it interesting results. They've played like
lots of different teams all in one season, and this
is an opportunity for Fidal to exploit that.
Speaker 2 (16:13):
I love that pick.
Speaker 4 (16:14):
I'm want to be starting him in one of my leagues,
and I'm also going to be starting oh if we
lad maconk No, he's not.
Speaker 2 (16:20):
We He's tall.
Speaker 4 (16:21):
He's a tall human, big dunk. Don't let don't let
this for you. However, this is an ex lead. McCaughey
is kind of an illustration in patience because a lot
of people gave up on him in the early part
of the season. Are like, sophomore swamped this guy. Why
did I pick him? But we've seen over the last
couple of games he's had at least five targets in
each of his last ten thirty receptions since Week six,
(16:43):
which is tied for the third most in the NFL.
The Jags have struggled against wide receivers this season. They've
allowed a top six in three other last four games.
The totals on the board right there, Cynthia, they are correct,
all right, love.
Speaker 3 (16:55):
That they're correct.
Speaker 4 (16:57):
They are correct, Bill Sidelsi, he's checking them. They're good.
Speaker 1 (17:01):
There it is up next the Bucks bounced the Buffalo
and the baut of the Bills.
Speaker 2 (17:05):
And Cynthy paying attention.
Speaker 3 (17:07):
To Kate Aughton, or if you're in the Midwest, you
have to say it with the heartache. Kate Aughton, cad
Aton the tight end for the Tama Bay Buccaneers. I mean,
Chris Godwin out again. They're missing pieces, No Mike Evans.
You just have to look at where is the opportunity
to get away from any potential pass rush going to
(17:28):
be the tight end position forecast to be something that
helps Baker Mayfield, who he's not banged up enough to
not play, but I don't believe he's He's just a
tough guy. So I think he's playing through some injuries
that maybe we'll have him wanting to get rid of
the ball a little quicker than we've seen in some
other games. So I like Kate Aughton in this one,
Kate Atten.
Speaker 2 (17:45):
Kate Aton.
Speaker 1 (17:46):
I also like TuS Johnson if We're going to stick
with Buccaneers pass catchers here and a guy who's averaging
more than six targets.
Speaker 2 (17:52):
Per game over his last three contests.
Speaker 1 (17:54):
Compared to the three total targets that he had in
the first three games he played this year. Also more
than eleven area target so it's not just a lot
of short throws. They're trying to get him a little
bit more downfield.
Speaker 2 (18:04):
So you like that.
Speaker 1 (18:05):
This has the potential to be a back and forth
offensive contest. A lot of points scored. Could see a
lot of Baker Mayfield throwing the ball. We know a
Mecca Abuka is going to get his. I think Kaitott
is certainly going to get his, but Test Johnson look
for him to get some work. Think he's a wide
receiver three in a lot of different leagues coming up
this week. More to come here on NFL Fantasy Live

Com, slash network terms and can apply time to get
you some news headlines in a segment we call if
You Know, You Know, We're starting Baltimore, where Lamar Jackson
will start Sunday in Cleveland. According to John Harbob, the
star quarterback took some heart hits last Sunday against the Vikings,
which led to some of the issues. But fantasy owners
can turn that frown upside down because Lamar is back
(19:18):
in week eleven in Buffalo. Some bad news and some
good news. The bad news is that tied end Dalton
Kincaid is officially out this weekend with hamstring injuries. But
Khalil Shakira, who's dealing with both ankle and rib injuries,
is heading in the right direction. So see if please
take a little bit of a longer look at the
Buffalo Bills, we hear about the injury situation, there is.
Speaker 2 (19:40):
There a chance that it could be Dawson Knox week
this week.
Speaker 3 (19:43):
Well, first of all, we need to call him by
his correct name, which is the Dawson. It is the Dawson.
And yes, I do believe he has some value this week,
in large part because Jamal Dean the corner for the Bucks.
Oh yeah, he's along in a passer rating and coverage
of like I don't know, twenty two point eight, like
sub twenty three, which is just ridiculous because you get
thirty nine point six for throwing the ball into the ground.
(20:05):
So looking for the opportunity to keep Josh Allen in
situations where he's not likely to turn over the ball
means a lot more opportunities to target Dawson or the
Dawson in this matchup.
Speaker 1 (20:17):
All right, So good news there potentially for anybody maybe
wanting to stream Dawson nots heading to Sunday night football.
How is Cynthia like Carrie Underwood. Well, they'll be waiting
all day for Sunday night as the Lions and the
Eagles face off there. And I'm gonna go out and
just tell you now because I know it's been a
topic of conversation. Start AJ Brown this week. Start AJ
Brown this week. This might be the ultimate squeaky wheel
(20:40):
game when you have ownership now coming down to talk
to AJ Brown and try and iron some things out.
Maybe Big Dom is angling for a Nobel Peace Prize
if he can get things smoothed over here. But it's
still a lot of volume, right, eight targets per game
from weeks two through seven. I know the last couple
of weeks have not been great, but he's got to
believe in fact. If you want more on that, to
(21:00):
stick around, have a little bit more on AJ Brown
a little bit later in the show.
Speaker 4 (21:03):
I'm going to say that you should start Jamison Williams
against the Eagles on Sunday. New offensive play caller Dan
Campbell really finds a way to get Actually he's been
over the last couple of weeks. He's had at least
three games where he's had three games with at least
eighteen Fantasy points this season, two games with over one
hundred receiving yards this year. And one of the things
I believe why Dan Campbell was taking over play calling
(21:26):
duties was because guys like Jamison Williams with Johnny Guy,
that's kind of get left out of the out of
the fray there. So with Dan Campbell there rocking the specs,
I'm going with Jamo this week.
Speaker 1 (21:38):
I love Jamo getting involved here. He was a big
proponent of him early in the season. Speaking of which,
it is time to Seize the season presented by Caesar
Sports Book. According to Caesar Sports Book, here are the
most likely players to score the first touchdown during Sunday
Night football between the Lions and the Eagles.
Speaker 2 (21:56):
You'ry little surprise.
Speaker 1 (21:56):
Jamier Gibbs at the top of the list, followed closely
by Saquon bar Jalen Hurts, i'm on Ross, Saint Brown
and aj.
Speaker 2 (22:03):
Brown round out the top five.
Speaker 1 (22:05):
Cynthia, of those guys, as there're somebody there, maybe somebody
off menu you think can score the first touchdown, Well.
Speaker 3 (22:11):
I'm looking at Saquon Barkley in this matchup because as
good as the Lions are at defending the run in general,
things change when you get into the red area, and
the Lions are a little bit more generous in that area,
especially when you think about all the heavy formations that
they're going to be able to use, or even pulling
Saquon Barkley out wide and using him as a receiver.
(22:31):
So for me, it is number twenty six in the
end zone first, but I do think we also see
one from Jamior Gibbs too, So we have to balance
it out with a little bit of positivity for my
Lions fans. Both of those running backs will score, so.
Speaker 1 (22:43):
It's plausible both those guys find the end zone. New
users can bet one dollar to boost their next twenty
bets by one hundred percent. Must be twenty one or older.
See Caesars dot com slash promos for full terms. Hell yeah, man,
I tell you what I feel like.
Speaker 2 (23:01):
I'm on repeat each and every week right now. I mean,
I got nothing new to say to you. Guys. Did
you even favor for a second? You knew exactly we
had it right where we want.
Speaker 4 (23:15):
The Chicago Bears fans have never waivered on Ben Johnson
and Cynthia's Lions fans. They boo Ben Johnson, not Aaron Glenn.
I wonder why, but still the Bears are gonna be
traveling to Minnesota this week to try to avenge a
week one loss to the Minnesota Vikings. Let's start off
with one of my sleepers for the week, and I'm
gonna go with Luther Burden, the third who has started
to become a bigger part of this offense. He's had
(23:36):
at least fifty receiving yards in each game where he's
had three targets. It might happen this season. Keep an
eye on the injury report with DJ Moore, plus, he
could end up moving past Olamande Zikias onto the depth chart.
On the other side of the ball, JJ McCarthy engineered
that comeback against the Bears in Week one.
Speaker 3 (23:52):
What do we say, Cynthia, I'm saying, beware JJ McCarthy.
Outside the first two drives of games, where he does
a very nice job following the script that koc sets
out for him, things get wacky. He has like a
one hundred passer rating point decrease. The Bears do not
want the Vikings to get the better of both of
(24:12):
these games in this series. They're staring at an opportunity
to make the playoffs. So I'm looking at JJ McCarthy
and I'm saying, Okay, all the fantasy points are gonna
come in the first two drives. Outside of that, yikes, all.
Speaker 4 (24:23):
Right, the Green Bay Packers are gonna be on the
road to face the New York Giants. Green Bay coming
off back to back losses. The Giants have a new
quarterback with Jamis Winston. What could that mean for THEO Johnson.
Speaker 3 (24:36):
It could be good things for THEO Johnson. One thing
we know, Jameis Winston's gonna want to throw the ball
throw up. There's a ton of missing pieces in the
pass catching situation for the Giants. But THEO Johnson, I
know he was like a favorite of Jackson Dart. I
would imagine that also makes him a favorite or at
least a target for Jamis Winston. But don't be surprised
(24:59):
if we start to THEO Johnson split out wide. Look
at that opportunity to the mismatch in size and really,
you know, at least try to target some I don't know,
valentine Ish areas the secondary like that.
Speaker 2 (25:13):
I love it.
Speaker 4 (25:14):
Great idea right there by the way, he's speaking of
Jordan Love. He has been labeled as a coach killer
this week. Is Matt Lafort coaching for people, settle down?
Jordan Love is at least two hundred and seventy passing
yards in two of his last three games. I'm gonna
say you can go ahead and start them this week
against a Giants defense that has allowed the fourth most
fantasy points per game to the position this year. Plus
(25:37):
they've allowed a top eight quarterback in four of their
last five games. So next week, all you hot take
artists can go find somebody else and listen. I say,
this is a Bears fan. Lay off the pack. They're
gonna be just fine. All right, Let's move on to
Atlanta and the Carolina Panthers this week. And typically I
would sit here and say to start Drake London in London,
(26:00):
but there's some injury news right here. Obviously, he is
going to be on the practice report. He's been on
the injury report, He's been limited in Thursday's practice. He's
got a little bit of an illness. He's fighting through
a little bit of a back issue. So he's currently
questionable for Sunday. But if he is suiting up for
the Atlanta Falcons, he is going to be suiting up
for ranks tanks this week against that Panthers defense that
(26:22):
has allowed a top six wide receiver and two of
their last five games. He has been averaging over ten
targets per game every this season. I should say, but
we love Bajon Robinson, but what do we do with
this Tyler Alzier fellow Cynthia Well.
Speaker 3 (26:39):
Some have labeled Tyler Al's gear a little thief, a
vulture of the touchdowns that happened last week in Germany
against the Colts, And for me, that makes him a
sleeper in large part because against Carolina last time we saw,
you know, no points scored by the Falcons. I think
they're going to start using this two running back situation,
(27:02):
meaning basically putting Jean Robinson out there as a potential
I don't know, pass catcher if you will, even if
there's even if Drake London's back, I still think he'll
be used as a pass catching game, which leaves things for
Tyler Algier to clean up on the ground. And you know,
he's just a little touchdown vulture.
Speaker 4 (27:17):
But he's an actual startable asset. There's not a lot
of star assets in this Titans game going up against
the Houston Texans. But what are we doing here, Cynthia.
Speaker 3 (27:29):
We're looking at Nico Collins and we're going to get
a humble brag off of this one. Not only is
he really good and oh, I don't know, you know,
like basically hail Mary situations at the end of game
when somehow the Jacksonville Jaguars have scored twenty six points two,
I don't understand that, but I mean short fields, we
get it. But he's also valuable on intermediate passes. It
(27:51):
doesn't matter who his quarterback is. I know it's not
gonna be DCJ. Stroud. It's going to be Davis Mills,
who has a pretty epic neck. But you know Nico
Collins will be sticking his neck out there for his quarterback.
Speaker 2 (28:01):
Like a giraffe.
Speaker 4 (28:02):
No, I'm just kidding. I have a sleeper with Jaden
Higgins this week. Here's a note for you, Cynthia, put this,
put this out there in the interwebs. But Jaden Higgins
has scored a touchdown in every game he's ever played
against the title. I know it's one, but still every game.
You cannot argue with the math. The math says, but
(28:22):
when we've seen over the last couple of weeks, he's
scored at least thirteen Fantasy points in two of his
last three. So if you're looking for a wide receiver
to stream, it might be Jaden Higgins. I wouldn't start
him over this one receiver we're about to talk about
in just a matter of seconds, because one of the
star receivers in this league went onto the Janke Rondos
(28:43):
stream and told fantasy managers to go ahead and sit him.
Does Marcus Grant agree what we'll find out right now
with a minute with Marcus?
Speaker 2 (28:51):
Thank you, Adam.
Speaker 1 (28:53):
Yes, there is a question in the air all across America.
It is on the minds of people from Portland, Oregon,
to Portland, Maine. It's being asked by people from Miami, Florida,
to Miami of Ohio. It is the query that has
launched one thousand social media posts. Should I drop aj Brown?
(29:14):
The short answer is no. The longer answer is no.
You see, there's a reason you took Brown where you
dated your fantasy drafts, and it had nothing to do
with his taste in literature or his singing voice on
the Eagles Christmas album. It's because he's an immensely talented
player who will be integral to his team's attempt to
(29:35):
win a second straight Super Bowl. Yes, it can be
frustrating to watch at times, but so is the TV
program Lost, and many of you stuck with that until.
Speaker 2 (29:43):
The bitter end.
Speaker 1 (29:45):
So endure the lows for there but a prelude to
the highs, and either way it ends it is going
to be better than a polar bear on a tropical island.
Speaker 2 (29:53):
This has been another minute with Marcus.
Speaker 1 (29:55):
Salute to Service is the year round effort by the

this time each year, the NFL reinforces our support and
gratitude to those who have served and to those who

learn about the NFL's impact with its Salute to Service partners.
(30:17):
Time out to lock it up as we take it
to the rank.
Speaker 2 (30:20):
All right, thank you so much, Marcus.
Speaker 4 (30:22):
Yes, over the last number of months there has been
a high return on an investment, and they take it
to the rank.
Speaker 2 (30:27):
And much like Homer J.
Speaker 4 (30:29):
Simpson and Dan Campbell, whenever I put on the glasses,
I become one hundred percent smarter. This week, we're going
to talk about the Carolina Panthers. I need to start
writing myself a note that if I ever think about
streaming Bryce Young, I need Chunky Be to walk up
and just slap me in the face with a mackerel
because I need to stop doing that because he does
not come.
Speaker 2 (30:49):
Through whatever So this week we're gonna look at it
this way.
Speaker 4 (30:51):
The Falcons have allowed the fewest passing yards per game
to quarterbacks this season. Bryce Young has been struggling. As
a matter of fact, he's average twenty one passing yards
per game over the last three So this week, I
think I feel very comfortable in saying that Bryce Young
will not pass for more than one hundred and sixty
three yards and open that goal chucking me because you
(31:12):
can head to the right. All right, Steelers Bengals, Oh
there we go. You love the offensive firepower in this one,
Jamar Chase te Higgins DK Metcap.
Speaker 2 (31:21):
Let's talk about Jayloren Warren.
Speaker 4 (31:24):
The running back for the Pittsburgh Steelers, a great opportunity
in this one. He has been The Bengals have allowed
more than one hundred and forty scrimmage yards to running
backs over the last couple of weeks. And you look
at what the Pittsburgh Steelers have been able to do
on the ground over the last couple of weeks. This
is going to be a really good one to call.
This is one you want to go out there and
(31:45):
take advantage of. So for me, I look at this
matchup and you look at what he did last.
Speaker 2 (31:49):
Time they played.
Speaker 4 (31:50):
It's one hundred and fifty eight scrimmage yards he had.
So this week we're gonna look at him rushing for
more than ninety three yards and much like getting the
combo meal at Primanty's, if you wanted to add in
a touchdown as well, will open the ball because you
can take it to the right.
Speaker 2 (32:06):
All right, we love Oh that was terrible. How about
this one?
Speaker 4 (32:09):
Are Bengals oh so close?
Speaker 2 (32:12):
Let's stay with the Bengals.
Speaker 4 (32:13):
We know the defense of the Cincinnati Bengals is awful.
You want to go out there, you want to be
starting some of the Pittsburgh Seelers. Let's talk about Jamar Chase.
Cynthia Friedland was talking about him earlier on in this show.
He has done an amazing job ever since Joe Flacco
has taken over as the quarterback of the Cincinnati Bengals,
and the last time these two teams met, he was
targeted twenty three times. Twenty three times, So I look
(32:38):
at this. Joe Flacco was walking into Cincinnati, they said,
here's two things. Number one, never ate it skyline Chili
and throw it to Jamar Chase. Those are the only
two things that you need to know.
Speaker 2 (32:49):
So this week we're gonna say.
Speaker 4 (32:51):
That Jamar Chase has at least ninety three receiving yards.
And again, if you want to make it a combo
meal with a touchdown, I'm not going to argue against you.
And guess what, but open up the vault chugging because
you can take it to the right. And that was
take it to the rank for this week, and good
luck to you and in all your future endeavors.
Speaker 2 (33:12):
All right, coming up next, we.
Speaker 4 (33:13):
Are taking the power back to the trade machine.
Speaker 2 (33:17):
Marcus.
Speaker 1 (33:18):
There may not be any second exit American life, but
there are in fantasy football. Taking a look at who
the fantasy scoring leaders were in the first five weeks
of the season, Josh Allen, Christian McCaffrey, Pukaakua, and Jake Ferguson.
Now we fast forward weeks six through ten, a whole
different group of names. Jackson Dark, Jonathan Taylor, Drake London,
and Trey McBride are your top scorers across the main
(33:40):
four fantasy positions. That gets us to one of our
favorites here, and that is the re emergence of Cynthia
Freeland's Fantasy football trade machine. Now I know, this might
look like just a dusty, old dot makes Rix printer
that's you know, came back from the you know, I
don't know, some time in the Reagan administration. But underneath
this hood is a high powered, finally tuned piece of
(34:02):
just top notch engineering for fantasy football.
Speaker 2 (34:05):
Do not judge it by its cover.
Speaker 4 (34:07):
You understand, the most precise engineering imaginable has gone on
to this trade machine, and the one.
Speaker 1 (34:15):
Who engineered it is our own Cynthia Freeland. It's a
Cynthia for folks who maybe have not seen the trade
machine before, can give them an overview of how it works.
Speaker 3 (34:22):
Well. The trade machine is all about being able to
compare things apples to apples. So how do you compare
a quarterback for a wide receiver in a trade? It's
really hard to do. So the trade machine takes all
of the different player values the forecast production going forward
at each position. It overweights playoff time because obviously you
need points during the playoff, and it creates one numerical
(34:44):
value that can be added, subtracted, kind of figured compared
to each other. So we know, you know, are you
winning a trade, are you fleecing your opponent or potentially
is it not a good trade for you to do?
What should you do now? And we just like recycling too.
We have to point out like obviously we're gonna upside
or whatever the dot matrix printer because we're really, we're really,
you know, green here.
Speaker 1 (35:05):
We are an eco friendly show here at NFL Fantasy Live.
All right, So let's get to some trade offers that
you either sent or were received and we got them
on social media. This from Day Walking eighty seven. Would
you trade away Dak Prescott, Quintin Johnston and Harold Fan
and Junior for Daniel Jones, Woody Marks and Ronde Gatst
and Rank any thoughts from you.
Speaker 2 (35:23):
I would want to.
Speaker 4 (35:23):
Be on the side with Daniel Jones and Woody Marks
and of course a Ronde Gadston Junior who has been
a fine and and Harold fan and Jr. To me
has been trending down. So I would want to be
on that side of the trade.
Speaker 1 (35:34):
All right, So you would accept the trade. So let's
see what the trade machine has to say, and oh
it is accepted. So you guys are on the same
side here, all right, Cynthia, I break this one down
for us.
Speaker 2 (35:44):
Rank.
Speaker 3 (35:45):
You nailed it with Woody Marx being on the up
scene with Ronde gast Judi. But I want to point
out one thing about Dak Prescott as well. I know
Rank loved him ahead of the season, and he performed
really well for that first half. But here's the thing.
The defense they got better. They got Quinn and Williams,
they got Logan, they got them all right. So ultimately
it's going to not require as much of the witchcraft
(36:05):
that Dak Prescott has had to do in the first
half of the season going forward in the second half
of the season, whereas Daniel Jones is going to have
to keep doing it keep it hot for him as well.
And by the way, Jones, he's already had his buy
this week, so going forward, you don't have to worry
about figuring it out.
Speaker 1 (36:20):
Also, like you're trading out one Charger for another, getting
rid of Jonson and adding gatst in there.
Speaker 2 (36:25):
All right.
Speaker 1 (36:25):
Next one, this one comes from Sicard Zach who wants
to know, would you trade away I'm on Ross, Saint Brown,
Dalton Schultz, and Bucky Irving for Courtland Sutton, Colston Loveland
and Javonte Williams.
Speaker 2 (36:36):
Rank your thoughts, I know that Bucky Irving was ruled
out for this weekend.
Speaker 4 (36:39):
But the Aman Ross Saint Brown part of it, I
have to have a mon Ross at Brown. I want
to be on that side. I would not trade him away.
And if I was going to trade away a mon
Ross Aint Brown, I would want a much bigger return.
Speaker 1 (36:51):
All right, So you would decline the trade. Let's see
if the trade machine agrees, and it does, the trade
machine is declining that offer as well, if you do
them out for us, please.
Speaker 3 (37:01):
Well, first, I'm very concerned that potentially Rank has turned
into AI. So can you just I don't know, maybe
he's turned into AI. We'll see. Are you even real anymore? Rank?
Speaker 4 (37:12):
Not sure?
Speaker 3 (37:13):
But ultimately I'm looking at this one and the value
of Amon Ross Saint Brown is way too much to
be giving up for the rest of them. So I understand.
Look that Bucky Irving number could even be higher going
forward should he get healthier. There's some risk involved there,
but you're still getting your you'd be trading away about
I don't know, maybe like an upside wide receiver or
(37:34):
something a potential injury replacement player. There for almost nothing
in return, right, so there's a lot of there's a
lot of risk when you have tight ends involved in
either situation. But I'm looking at amon ros Saint Brown
and I'm saying way too much to give up, even
though I know A Rank would rather want to have
Colson Loveland to bear.
Speaker 2 (37:55):
What are you talking about?
Speaker 4 (37:58):
Lessen you the one the one thing that I don't
like is uh, you had to hold on to Bucky
Irving for so long, like that's it. They've never put
them on ir so you've never been able to put
him down in that spot. Instead, You've had to wear
it the whole time. Now I'm going to trade him
when he's close to return in the fantasy playoffs.
Speaker 2 (38:17):
You're insane.
Speaker 4 (38:18):
No, you're giving up way too much. If we're giving
up with a mom ra saying, bro, I love Colston lovely,
I love him, but I would not make that deal.
Speaker 1 (38:25):
Don't roll your eyes at me, lady, business over pleasure.
I see there's one more message that the trade machine
has here. Still, Well, let's eyes at me, let's go,
let's go steck this with up rank. Stick to a
y s O.
Speaker 2 (38:38):
I'm wow, how dare you wow?
Speaker 4 (38:41):
I listen, I'm pretty machine. Hit you with a stick
to sports, stick to sports, that specific sport sports. It's
like the kids, the kids coming for me on the internet.
They're like, hey, because I said, I happen to say, like, oh, Kevin.
Speaker 2 (38:54):
Moss was a bit.
Speaker 4 (38:54):
You're an idiot. You don't know who.
Speaker 2 (38:56):
I'm sorry.
Speaker 4 (38:56):
It was four when he was playing baseball. Got the mistake, Kevin.
Speaker 1 (39:00):
So the whole thing is shoogy, I think if you
ask me. All right, anyway, another great edition of the
Cynthia Freeland Fantasy Football Trade Machine stick around. We still
got more to come here on NFL Fantasy Live Josh Allen,
Jonathan Taylor. A whole lot of fantasy greatness still to come.
Speaker 2 (39:18):
We're gonna tell you how great they're gonna be when
we come back after this. Hey.
Speaker 1 (39:24):
Commanders and Dolphins face off in the grand finale of
the twenty twenty five International Series from Madrid, presented by
net App Sunday nine thirty am Eastern only on NFL
Network and also streaming with NFL Plus. Subscription required for
NFL Plus visit Plus dot NFL dot com for terms
tarn out for a little power to the people. You
sent us your questions, We're gonna do our best to
(39:45):
answer them. Over the next couple of minutes, as we
go around the horn and uh, Cynthia, we're gonna start
this one with you pig a quarterback VPR league Perty
Mayfield or McCarthy.
Speaker 3 (39:57):
Now McCarthy for sure. I'm going with Mayfield in this one.
I know he's a little banged up, but I think
the Bucks absolutely want to make sure and try to
get as high in the in the conference as possible.
Speaker 2 (40:07):
All Right, you can take it to the bank, all right?
Speaker 1 (40:09):
Anyway, right, stronger choices wide receiver to Deebo, Alan Dobbs
or Jamison Williams.
Speaker 4 (40:15):
Oh, I'm gonna go Jamison Williams. I again, I feel
like there's gonna be a lot of opportunity for him
this week, Debo. It scares me with what they're gonna
be able to run over there. So yeah, I think
Jamo is gonna have another pop game, all right.
Speaker 1 (40:29):
Next one, Goddard or Gadston, Tess Johnson or Imari de Mercado.
I've talked about pretty much all those guys this week.
I think I'm gonna go Gadston at the tight end spot.
And for your other one, I think I like Test
Johnson in a game I think is gonna be maybe
a little bit more high scoring there this one for you, Cynthia,
Aaron Jones or Woody Marx. Oh all right, so Woody
(40:51):
Marks gets the.
Speaker 2 (40:52):
Gets the nod there as the buzzer sounds. All right.
Speaker 1 (40:55):
Time now for Monday's fantasy A headline, Cynthia, look into
your crystal ball, everybody. What folks are gonna be talking
about come Monday morning?
Speaker 3 (41:03):
Over the hill but top of the pops. I'm talking
about the matchup between the old geezers, the Cincinnati Bengals
quarterback Joe Flacco and Aaron Rodgers, who they might be
over the hill, but they're gonna end up number one
and number two as your fantasy quarterbacks this week.
Speaker 4 (41:16):
All right, right, what you got, I'm gonna say the
Seattle Seahawks have the need, the need for Shaheed shoot
out here with the Rams, all right.
Speaker 2 (41:24):
I ask for me.
Speaker 1 (41:25):
The rain in Spain will not bother eight chen. I
know the Ryan falls apart at the end, but.
Speaker 2 (41:30):
It looks better name.
Speaker 4 (41:31):
It looks better than fringe.
Speaker 2 (41:33):
Enjoy week, love it everybody.
Speaker 1 (41:35):
We will see you back on Money recapping what happens
over the weekend.
Speaker 4 (42:00):
Twook at adast back the past to teak at all,
