Speaker 1 (00:04):
NFL Game Deview is a production of the NFL in
partnership with iHeartRadio.

Speaker 2 (00:11):
Everybody, Welcome to game debut, Patrick Clay, I'm back here
with Greg Rosenthal and Cynthia Freeland, who is back in
the lead. Still in our picks, but we've learned recently, Cynthia,
the games matter more now and Greg Rosenthal would like
to change the system.

Speaker 3 (00:24):
So okay, let's come up with We'll come up with
a rubric here. So what happened with everything before a
week nine or week ten didn't matter?

Speaker 4 (00:33):
No, I mean, it all counts, but what is it?

Speaker 5 (00:35):
Bill Parcells used to say, you know, three or football
starts at Thanksgiving, So that's like our picks. Let's really
start focusing and dial in now.

Speaker 3 (00:42):
So we've got a couple of weeks because Thanksgivings in
two weeks.

Speaker 2 (00:45):
Okay, okay, So Coach Parcells not currently viewing our show,
you don't know that, perhaps, Coach high here's our picks,
the majority of which came way before Thanksgiving.

Speaker 6 (00:56):
Suck is what we're saying.

Speaker 2 (00:58):
That's why our Queen Sea is right there with five
straight weeks picking ten or more games. Dan Cynthia is
still in first place.

Speaker 7 (01:07):
Been making game picks like an MVP lately.

Speaker 2 (01:10):
Meanwhile, Matthew Stafford has been playing like one.

Speaker 7 (01:14):
Matthew has it.

Speaker 8 (01:15):
Throws down in the LNS tunnel screen poop and Akuak
gets one block, now another, He's clean touchdown. Pooka.

Speaker 6 (01:22):
Stafford into daylight, hits.

Speaker 7 (01:24):
The sideline, click to the back.

Speaker 9 (01:25):
HiT's caught for a touchdown and that's career touchdown.

Speaker 10 (01:29):
Pass number four hundred.

Speaker 7 (01:32):
Helmut high snap look he left, throws that way. It's
cot for a touchdown. He throws no look left side
belong Parkinson. He can walk right in. Matthew Stafford and
the Rams are.

Speaker 10 (01:44):
Stopping on San Francisco.

Speaker 7 (01:47):
You can see what that shimmy there. Matthew Stafford's been bawling.
He's got a monster matchup right over there at.

Speaker 2 (01:52):
Zofar Stadium against the Seahawks. The winner will claim sole
possession of first place in the division.

Speaker 7 (01:58):
So who is able to do that after.

Speaker 3 (02:00):
The game sent I think the Seahawks are able to
do that by one twenty four to twenty three in
this matchup. It really comes down to this is a
like probably the best game of the week, I think,
And when I'm looking at this I'm like.

Speaker 6 (02:12):
What's the difference.

Speaker 3 (02:13):
Well, the defense for the Seahawks, they've been getting better, healthier,
creating more of the disruptive and nasty kind of pressure,
and just doing things that we are seeing make teams
extremely uncomfortable.

Speaker 6 (02:26):
And doing it at a very high level.

Speaker 3 (02:27):
I mean, they have the most different players who are
causing quarterback hits, the most different players with double digit pressures.
They're doing all of these things for a lot of
different directions that you're like, oh, I don't even know
who's gonna come at me with this pressure this time.

Speaker 6 (02:39):
It's kind of all of them.

Speaker 3 (02:40):
So that's the type of defense that Mike McDonald is
used to coming from the Ravens, and he's kind of
it's really like all come together this season.

Speaker 5 (02:49):
I think these are the two best teams in the NFL.
I think it's the game of the forget the week,
maybe the game of the year so far.

Speaker 3 (02:55):
I was about to say, I can't tell if the
year's just started or if it's over yet, Like all
of these things.

Speaker 5 (03:01):
You're saying, this game does matter even though it's at
four h five E. I mean, come on, NFL, they
didn't see this coming as the game of the year.
You know what else people didn't see coming the Seahawks
running game last week against Arizona. Everyone had turned the
channel by then because they were up twenty five points.
They had a drive that lasted thirteen plays. They did
not throw the ball on one of those plays, and

(03:22):
I saw an improvement in terms of their blocking. And
Arizona's a good defense overall, and even though they're without
their center this week, I think their running game has
gotten more consistent.

Speaker 4 (03:31):
It was one of the heaviest.

Speaker 5 (03:33):
Run pass scripts in the entire season by any team,
and yet they were very effective fifty eight percent success right,
And I think that's important this week because you want
to keep those Rams pass rushers from just going into
the backfield. I think they can be more balanced than
they have been. I'm taking the Seahawks to win this game.

Speaker 7 (03:49):
I agree with both of you.

Speaker 2 (03:50):
This is a great game with two of the best
teams in the NFL right now.

Speaker 7 (03:54):
You can make a case. I would make it the
Seahawks have been playing the best football.

Speaker 2 (03:57):
I've got the Rams by four twenty six to twenty two.
Amid all the trends of throwing out a heavy personnel.
Both teams are really good at it. And I know,
as Gregs has undermined me here by pointing out this,
the Seahawks were run on the ball pretty well last week.
One week does not a season make the Seahawks number
thirty in rush efficiency.

Speaker 7 (04:15):
Right now, the Rams number four.

Speaker 2 (04:16):
Styles make fights, and I fear the Seahawks might be
a bit one handed, and I lean on Los Angeles
in this one, So yeah, I'll be the straight bout.
I'll be all by myself, so one of us will
be right regardless unless there's a tie in the Game
of the Year, which is not something that we're looking
forward to. Stop for Who's eating good presented by Applebee's,
it is Matthew Stafford leading the NFL with twenty five

(04:38):
passing touchdowns. Cynthia will we have more or less than
two and a half against Seattle.

Speaker 3 (04:43):
So I mean it would be smarter to say that
he'd have less than he'd have too. But if you're
looking at the run that he's been on, as in
like four more passing touchdowns and consecutive games, I think
you're fine saying more. I think there's going to be
some situation here where the run game does matter. But
this is going to be an uncomfortable game for both

(05:04):
quarterback so I think that both will have to lean
on the pass game. Just you know, if our Seattle
ZeVA is just triple team Pooka to cook, You're fine,
all right.

Speaker 7 (05:11):
That makes me feel better about my thick.

Speaker 2 (05:13):
With Matthew Stafford going over two and a half touchdowns,
he has the Rams offense humming, as does Dan Campbell.

Speaker 7 (05:19):
All in plays with the Lions.

Speaker 10 (05:26):
The five four yards, Sir Samer gets putting together a
day punch up the middle, then telling about Toulson, then
on the edge, and once you get them out on
the edge, sonic is gone.

Speaker 2 (05:41):
The Troy's heading the Philly for a potential playoff preview
with the Eagles. The Lions crushed the Commanders last week,
while the Eagles hung on to win in Green Bay.
We know what you want, Cynthia. What does the model
have to say about this game?

Speaker 3 (05:52):
The model hates my heart and it's picking Philadelphia too,
Although there's some like it's okay because the Eagles were
in the Super Bowl for me, so I kind of.

Speaker 6 (06:01):
Win both ways.

Speaker 3 (06:02):
But Philadelphia wins twenty four to twenty three in this
matchup in my model because Jalen Hurts is able to
target one of the deficiencies that the Lions still have,
which is their deep passing threat, mainly that they're still
missing pieces in their secondary, and that's going to be
a problem when you have the diversity of pass catchers
like I don't know, aj Brown, DeVante Smith, Dallas like

(06:24):
need I say more.

Speaker 6 (06:25):
It's just too many different.

Speaker 3 (06:27):
Options against a defleated secondary, and that makes just the
smidge of difference that causes a one point win for
the Eagles. It's gonna be a great game. I kind
of wish that I wasn't a fan. I could just
be like, watch this one. But I like that Lions
fan of me is like, well this is this is
gonna be a bad Sunday night, we promise.

Speaker 2 (06:47):
The Lions fan within Cynthia is a little more passionate
with the roar there on that one. I'm on the
same page with the model. I've got a two point
win for the Birds. The Lions twenty four to twenty
six fall to Philadelphia.

Speaker 7 (06:59):
They love to play man.

Speaker 2 (07:00):
Only four teams have seen more pass attempts while they're
in coverage, and Jalen Hurts has some pretty good options.

Speaker 7 (07:06):
When the other teams are in man coverage.

Speaker 2 (07:08):
Like that guy, I know that there's a lot of
questions about a j Brown's frustration breaking news area receiver
would like to contribute to offense more at eleven. Sometimes
it's the Jimmy's and the Joe's. Jalen Hurts has thirteen
touchdowns of one pick against man coverage. So yeah, eleven
and six, I think, get healthy in this one in

(07:29):
Birds win.

Speaker 5 (07:29):
Greg, it's not about the Jimmy's and the Joe's. It's
about Dan Dan Campbell. And if you looked at their scores,
by the way, look at the bottom of the screen.
You see how you know Cynthia by one, Patrick by two.
They say the Lions are going to cover anyways, go
the whole way and just.

Speaker 4 (07:43):
Get Greg with like God, that's doo with me. That
was all Dodger style.

Speaker 7 (07:47):
That's Greg there.

Speaker 5 (07:49):
Dan Campbell made a decision and he is calling plays
this week, I think and forever, I'm never doing that again.
You know what I was doing, Jamison Williams bigger part
of the Lions offense now that Dan Campbell's is calling plays.
It was just spamming something that worked, which was Jamison wins,
and I know it's gonna be much harder this week
when you're not playing the commander's defense. But I thought

(08:10):
he made a lot of smart moves, including not leaving
Jamir Gibbs in in pass protection. You see David Montgomery
here on a pass play, was in more often on
third downs, and in more in general on passing plays.
And look, Dan Campbell's had to overcome.

Speaker 4 (08:24):
A stereotype his whole career.

Speaker 5 (08:25):
I get it, like he's a big, strong guy and
people don't think he's that smart. I face that my
whole life too. He's also smart, not just strong.

Speaker 7 (08:33):
And that's why he puts the play color glasses on.

Speaker 3 (08:36):
I just feel like, like that is everyone who's aging
a little bit. He puts him down his nose, and
he's like looking over the top and then looking down
over the top and down.

Speaker 6 (08:43):
It's just it's it's perfection. It's perfection.

Speaker 7 (08:46):
It's intimidating.

Speaker 2 (08:47):
I wouldn't want to like if somebody's calling plays and
they don't have glasses on.

Speaker 7 (08:51):
Yeah, the glasses on. I'm ready to execute. The Eagles
and lines currently in great position to make the playoffs.
Let's go to the AFC West.

Speaker 2 (08:58):
Where we could see three teams make the postseason. As
we look at the odds according to season or sportsbook,
the Broncos at plus one fifteen ahead of the Chiefs
and then the Chargers and yeah, if you you know,
if you'd like to, you can get the loss makings
Raiders a plus seventy five thousand.

Speaker 7 (09:18):
The Chiefs got a problem out of Broncos.

Speaker 2 (09:20):
Call the hotlan immediately squag off Sunday, Denver currently three
games up on Casey in the division.

Speaker 7 (09:27):
What happens Grect?

Speaker 5 (09:28):
I think the Chiefs come out of the by looking
their best. I've been saying I think the Chiefs are
still the best team in the AFC, but they gotta
start making it happen. Twenty four to twenty is my
Chiefs win, partly because of that by situation. It's one
of my favorite annual traditions. Forget about Thanksgiving, it's the
bye weeks that let's trot out that old canard, Oh
Andy Reid, I hope you're around forever so I don't

(09:50):
have to do my homework whatever.

Speaker 4 (09:52):
Whenever I talk about the Chiefs coming off of bye
what's the record now?

Speaker 5 (09:56):
Two and twenty two and four Mahomes also thirteen and
one against Denver all time.

Speaker 4 (10:03):
That's a good one.

Speaker 5 (10:04):
Mahomes, by the way, only has one loss coming off
of Buy in his career. And I do think that
it gives this time to reset for the Chiefs and
what they want to do offensively, hopefully fix that running
game against the Broncos.

Speaker 3 (10:16):
I mean I to have Kansas City. The model's like
a little drunk this week because lots of close scores
twenty three to twenty two in this matchup. Why what
is the difference? What makes that tiny shred of difference? Well,
it's the different number of pass catchers that Patrick Mahomes
has at his disposable. They can find a lot of
different mismatches. Andy Reid over the Buy studied where he

(10:40):
wants to do the mismatches. You know, Patzertan has not
been playing.

Speaker 6 (10:43):
The front is really good. So what are you gonna do?

Speaker 3 (10:45):
Get away from that front, get the ball out quickly.
That's why Patrick Mahomes has not been under a ton
of pressure. Oh you know, Oh see, that's such Travis
Kelcey did you see him? Did you see Rashi Rice earlier?

Speaker 6 (10:56):
How about literally anyone else? The Xavier Worthy, anyone want
to go real fast.

Speaker 3 (11:00):
There's just so many different options, which makes the oh,
don't keep it in there.

Speaker 4 (11:03):
You get a fine for that, sir.

Speaker 3 (11:04):
But ultimately you're gonna want to take all of these
different pass catchers and figure out which mismatch you want.
And he said to buy, so you know he's gonna
you're gonna be able to figure that out.

Speaker 2 (11:12):
Yeah, congratulations to Andy Reid and Patrick Mahomes who we
are good. Not just after the five, it's just generally good,
which is why I think that after the vice stat
falls and I've picked a lot of games incorrectly when
I take the Chiefs to lose, so why don't we
run it back one more time. I'll take the division,
leading Denver Broncos by one point twenty one to twenty.
I couldn't help but notice, much like Greg did in

(11:32):
the other game, you guys have some pretty close close scores.

Speaker 4 (11:35):
I went over the number, I went Chiefs out of
the way.

Speaker 7 (11:37):
Well, okay, I think it drove close.

Speaker 6 (11:40):
The model has the model has a problem.

Speaker 2 (11:42):
Well, you know, me and the model are not similar
in that capacity. I am fully unimpaired when I make
these bad decisions.

Speaker 7 (11:48):
But the Broncos have been in some rock fights.

Speaker 2 (11:50):
I think that they can muddy up the picture a
lot like the Buffalo Bills did against Kansas City with
that talent and get into a close game and then
have one of the better scrambling quarterbacks at twenty twenty four,
start to scramble a little bit more, only justin Herbert
has more yards per carry on scrambles. They've been throwing
the ball laterally, a lot of screens and draws for

(12:12):
the Broncos.

Speaker 7 (12:13):
Watch coach Peyton, not hide bo Nicks.

Speaker 2 (12:16):
Let them go out there and make some decisions and
get some scrambles in and beat the Kansas City Chiefs.
It's time forget more with Geico Cynthia. Who's more likely
to have four more receptions in this game? Travis Kelcey
or Courtland Sun.

Speaker 3 (12:28):
Well, we talked about the variety of different pass catchers here,
so for me, it's Courtland Sutton. On the other side,
who's the coach Sean Payton? What's he in the mold
of Bill Parcell?

Speaker 6 (12:38):
What does that mean?

Speaker 3 (12:39):
Big body guys who have an opportunity to absolutely just
body the hetch out of the defensive backs.

Speaker 6 (12:45):
Are going to be the formula.

Speaker 3 (12:47):
Now, these could all happen in the fourth quarter because
Boenix doesn't seem to really come alive until the end
of the game, but ultimately I think more likely to
have four or more receptions.

Speaker 2 (12:55):
Courtland Sutton Time for Seas the Season presented by Caesar
Sports Book.

Speaker 7 (13:00):
As we look at the first touchdown score odds in.

Speaker 2 (13:03):
The Big Time match up between the Buffalo Bills and
the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Speaker 7 (13:06):
He got a couple of Bills at the top, followed
up by Rashad White, Ameka Buka and Kean Coleman.

Speaker 2 (13:12):
Let's dive more into this mega matchup between the Bucks
and the Bills. Both teams dropped games last week. Who
walks away with a win here?

Speaker 5 (13:20):
Grect, I think the Bucks pull off the big upset,
at least according to the number. I mean it's five
and a half, six and a half, whatever it is.
I don't think it should be that big of an upset.
The Bucks are a good team, and I think they
have the right personnel to stop the Bills offense because
they can do what the Dolphins did a week ago,
but do it better. Here are some of the mistakes
that Josh Allen was making, forcing the ball into coverage.

(13:42):
The Dolphins basically copied what the Patriots did and they
loaded up up front, and they dared Buffalo to win
their one on one matchups. And you know what, Kean
Coleman couldn't do it, even against guys who just got
on the roster like Juju Brents.

Speaker 4 (13:57):
Josh Allen. I don't think was patient enough.

Speaker 5 (13:59):
And I think this is a better Buccaneers defense than
they've been in previous years, so they can load up
to stop the run. It's one of the best Todd
Bowles defenses of the Buccaneers Bulls era, and I think
they get the win because Buffalo's limited right now on offense.

Speaker 7 (14:14):
Yeah, I'm with you, Greg.

Speaker 2 (14:15):
I have a five point win for the Tampa Bay
Buccaneers twenty five of twenty. I think the Bills have
great matchups throughout the AFC, but sometimes the strength and
weaknesses play out funny. And we just saw, like Greg
pointed out, the Bills not able to separate against the Fins.
And now the matchup is even worse against the Bucks,
where teams are outright avoiding Antoine Winfield, except of course,

(14:36):
the Patriots on four down last week, and maybe it
should be avoiding Jamel Dean, who has held opposing quarterbacks
to a passer rating of.

Speaker 7 (14:44):
Twenty two point eight. It's the lowest sense, at least
twenty eighteen.

Speaker 2 (14:48):
I don't know if the Bills get it figured out
in one week, Cynthia, I've got the Bucks.

Speaker 7 (14:52):
Here are you guys?

Speaker 3 (14:54):
You guys need to call some sort of number because
you're giving me the bills. Okay, fine, I'll take the
bills twenty seven to twenty three bleed mode. Give me
that prime number I feel very good about at home.
Can we get double Can we get double points for
me getting.

Speaker 5 (15:10):
We should get double double wins if we will, we're
picking the big opposite. We're not taking oh, the safe
little prime number, you know, safe little truck.

Speaker 3 (15:18):
The safe little prime number right here. Well, listen, when
do you talk about a Todd Bowles defense?

Speaker 6 (15:24):
Maybe in the.

Speaker 3 (15:24):
Power No, it's the fastest one, or it's the it's
the best one.

Speaker 4 (15:28):
You how about I've other run the Patriots out.

Speaker 5 (15:30):
These are the only too successful good not.

Speaker 6 (15:33):
A great rushing team, the Patriots.

Speaker 3 (15:35):
And you know who rushed really well against the Bucks?

Speaker 6 (15:39):
All the people this.

Speaker 3 (15:40):
Is this is not a normal Todd Bowles rushing defense.
Usually when you think Bulls, you think just some sort
of wall against the run.

Speaker 6 (15:47):
That's not what's happening this season. Especially in the middle.
Even though they have Vitavea there, they're able to.

Speaker 3 (15:52):
Get a bunch of yards, a bunch of yards before contact,
a bunch of yards after contact.

Speaker 6 (15:56):
In the interior. James James Cook is still on the
team last.

Speaker 4 (15:59):
I checked, right, Yeah, I don't know. I didn't see
him last week.

Speaker 7 (16:02):
Much.

Speaker 3 (16:03):
Oh okay, well, all right, fine, okay, Bills fans, I'm
sure we'll hear from you.

Speaker 7 (16:08):
Well, we got spicy Greg today, folks.

Speaker 6 (16:09):
It's who you love this one right, uh.

Ccesars dot com slash promos for full terms.

Speaker 7 (16:25):
Motion to the right.

Speaker 9 (16:26):
On second and eight from the seventeen cale, Williams under
center drags another tenant smike in motion.

Speaker 10 (16:30):
Here's the snap of the playfake Williams rolling to his left,
running now fifteen to ten five.

Speaker 9 (16:35):
Eight so old tiptoes in touchdown in the blue peg.
Caleb Williams seventeen yards took care of business himself.

Speaker 2 (16:48):
The Chicago Bears have won six of their last seven games.
They've got JJ McCarthy and the Vikings who stole one
from Chicago way back in Week one.

Speaker 7 (16:56):
Does Caleb get revenge, Cinthia?

Speaker 6 (16:58):
Yeah, a whole one point revenge.

Speaker 3 (16:59):
I have Chicago winning this game twenty five to twenty four.
I want to maybe I usually avoid saying hard things
on TV, but maybe Ben Johnson is the blitz whisper. Huh.

Speaker 6 (17:09):
I nailed it right there there.

Speaker 7 (17:11):
It is.

Speaker 3 (17:11):
Yeah, that's a hard one to say because Caleb's opportunity
against the Blitz this season kind of has the same
trajectory that Jared Goff's had for the Bears, as in,
he's very very good against the Blitz. And there's like
only few things guaranteed in life, right, death taxes, and
Ryan Flora is blitzing you, So you know that's going
to happen, especially if they try to take away the run,

(17:31):
which the Bears have been very strong in the run game,
and so if they try to do that, then it'll
be like Philadelphia style, and what's gonna happen? Caleb Williams
little does pass it right over their heads, but ultimately
he's great against the Blitz. Caleb Williams is doing a
very nice job quarterbacking this team. The Bears are playing
for a play they're looking to try to make the
playoffs here, so they're going to want to get that

(17:52):
one game back against the Vikings.

Speaker 7 (17:54):
I agree with you.

Speaker 2 (17:55):
I've got a Bears win even more handily twenty one
to seventeen. And yes, they have a plan against the Blitz,
and sometimes when the plan doesn't go round.

Speaker 7 (18:03):
It doesn't look right.

Speaker 2 (18:04):
And Caleb Willis is back there running around doing a
bunch of different stuff that works out too. The plan
for the Minnesota Vikings, the execution hasn't necessarily been great.
JJ McCarthy had the whole field to throw to, and
he threw to Marlin Humphrey. They're maybe predetermining some throws
and even when he's making the right decisions in this game.

Speaker 7 (18:22):
Again, things will get better for JJ McCarthy.

Speaker 2 (18:25):
But just like Caleb had to go through those growing pains,
JJ's going through them now. I'll say he's a rookie.
This is his first NFL season. He's a rookie quarterback,
and I think it's.

Speaker 7 (18:34):
A rough one here, Greg.

Speaker 4 (18:35):
That was where my gut was going to.

Speaker 5 (18:36):
And then I got to the meeting today I saw
everyone was picking the Bears. That didn't feel right. The
Vikings are favored. I'm going with the Vikings. I'm going
with maybe my heart more than my head here, let's.

Speaker 4 (18:48):
Just scrag it up.

Speaker 5 (18:50):
I'm not doing that thing again ever again.

Speaker 6 (18:52):
Maybe just one more time.

Speaker 5 (18:54):
No, Look, Aaron Jones is running the ball fantastically since
he came off the bike. Sometimes you just got to
use your eyeballs. And JJ McCarthy is very unpredictable, I
will admit it. I do not feel confident in him,
but he has had made some good plays. When I
look at these two teams, there's just more talent on Minnesota,

(19:15):
like Aaron Jones out of the backfield, Aaron Jones as
a runner has looked fantastic, justin Jefferson Jordan Addison. Like
they are a better group overall in terms of the
skill position, talent.

Speaker 4 (19:25):
And then we know that the defense.

Speaker 5 (19:27):
Is more experienced, I think, more versatile than Chicago. So ultimately,
even though the vibes seem horrendous right now, in Minnesota,
I'm going with the Viking.

Speaker 2 (19:35):
Yeah, Owen would change those vibes because it does seem
to directly correlate.

Speaker 8 (19:41):
A Pisco back pitches. Arry go, He's caught twenty ten five.
That's not Miami. Ay Chad have a day. Oh my gosh, Touns.
I don't think you ever. He never got the full

Speaker 7 (20:32):
No Jayden or Scary Terry for Washington.

Speaker 2 (20:34):
Miami coming off the big upset over the Bills, who
keeps their playoff dreams alive Cynthia.

Speaker 6 (20:40):
By a narrow margin.

Speaker 3 (20:42):
The drunk model picks Miami twenty four to twenty three.

Speaker 7 (20:46):
Bottle some help.

Speaker 3 (20:48):
Every game is so close this week I double triple
quadruple checked it. But I'm looking at this one and
dan Quinn calling the defense does make a difference. Now
doesn't make a difference necessarily against Jalen Wattle. We shall see,
because where has this maners defense been especially vulnerable? Well,
passes in general, deep passes, passes of ten plus air yards,

(21:12):
just basically anything that's a downfield pass, like are you
going to pass the ball? We've got a problem stopping
that in Jalen Waddle, this speed, the route running. This
is a guy who has really helped to a tongue
of Bailoa out quite a bit. I'm thinking in this
game dan Quid will be able to help. But he's
not playing. He's not going to go out there and play.
Maybe maybe he should, you know.

Speaker 7 (21:33):
I mean the video we saw in last Bump where
it's like his giant.

Speaker 6 (21:36):
Head looking at that was hilarious.

Speaker 7 (21:38):
You get him out there, it can make some changes.
I agree.

Speaker 2 (21:40):
I've got a ten point win twenty two to twelve,
and I'm glad to be in this position to facilitate
my agenda.

Speaker 7 (21:45):
And that's Meetings may be a touch overrated.

Speaker 2 (21:49):
When you schedule a meeting, sometimes the schedule is more
important than the meetings.

Speaker 7 (21:53):
And I think that's what happened for the Miami Dolphins.

Speaker 2 (21:56):
The schedule is a little less itchy right now, and
we're not talking about meetings. We're discussing football. And when
they play football and they get the ball to Davon
a chan thing, go well, he's got four hundred and
eleven yards after the catch this season.

Speaker 7 (22:08):
It's a great number. His average depth of target is negative.

Speaker 2 (22:12):
He's getting the ball in the backfield on passes and he's.

Speaker 7 (22:15):
Still getting a whole bunch of yards. He's carrying the
franchise right now. I think he does it for a win.

Speaker 5 (22:20):
Greg There is a path for the Dolphins to get
back at least into the In the Hunt graphic, you
got this game, you got the bye, you got the
Jets and the Saints. I think their defense is playing
better because nobody's watching it lately. On Sunday, we'll all
learn Bradley Chubb. Watch this sack that he had late
in the fourth quarter. He shoves Dion Dawkins off him

(22:40):
with his left hand and then he launches himself through
the air.

Speaker 4 (22:44):
This just fired me up watching it, and I thought
this defense.

Speaker 5 (22:48):
Is playing with a lot of energy. Pay no attention
to the celebration penalty they gave him after. I don't
care about that. This is a quality left tackle that
he just threw off them. And then Jordan Brooks, I think,
playing like a pro bowler. They're better in the back
end with Mika Fitzpatrick playing slot.

Speaker 4 (23:04):
Are eighth in the.

Speaker 5 (23:05):
NFL in success rate over the last month. That's a
pretty good sample size of a good defense.

(23:32):
the Wells Fargo Active Cash credit Card. Let's make some
quick picks here on our show, we go to the
Packers and the Giants.

Speaker 7 (23:38):
The g Men fired.

Speaker 2 (23:39):
Brian Dabole earlier this week, Jackson Dart dealing with an injury.
Jamis Winston has been named the starter. All of that
leading up to Greg Rosencal's pick, which.

Speaker 5 (23:48):
Will be It will be the Giants covering that seven points. Okay,
the Packers aren't gonna lose this game. They gotta win.
But Jamis Winston back in the lineup, and you got
the new coach bump in terms of Mike casp you
know I'm at least going Giants to cover. Look, Jamis
Winston has been around for a while and he always
raises the team that he joins for a few weeks,

(24:08):
and then sometimes it gets a little stale.

Speaker 4 (24:10):
He's only thirty one years old.

Speaker 5 (24:12):
I don't like his situation this week because Darius Slayton's
her obviously, no Malik Neighbors or Scataboo. There's too many
injuries for him to overcome. But I think Jamis plus
the new coach at least they keep it close.

Speaker 2 (24:23):
All right, Let's go to the forty nine Ers and
the Cardinals brought party is expected back for the Niners.
Does he get a win in the long awaited returns?

Speaker 3 (24:32):
The long national nightmare is over who will be the
starting quarterback for the Niners? Every week it's up until
ninety minutes before the game, And yes, I have a
win for them. Twenty four to twenty two. George Kittle's
impact can't be understated. When he's on the field. What happens, well,
they can play a lot more twelve, they get over
one yard more per rush, and they haven't been great
at rushing so far this season. They're actually much better

(24:54):
in the passing game. And George Kittle in general just
super valuable. So even if he's not lighting it up
for your fantasy team as maybe we had hoped at
the beginning of the season, given everything that's going on,
he is the X factor on this offense, and I
think it's going.

Speaker 6 (25:10):
To be very helpful for him against the Cardinals defense.

Speaker 2 (25:13):
All Right, we'll keep it going to the Ravens and
the Browns, Baltimore nipping at the Steelers Heels in the
AFC North, and I think they get their fourth straight
win here a score of twenty three to ten.

Speaker 7 (25:22):
And you know, my brother did so much for me.

Speaker 2 (25:24):
As little brothers, you always want to give back and
shout out to little brother.

Speaker 7 (25:27):
For sending over a Looie Gilman in.

Speaker 2 (25:30):
The trade to big brother, because the teams have been
a lot better on this Baltimore defense since he arrived.
He got targeted three times against the Minnesota Vikings allowed
no catches played one hundred percent of the snaps. Quality increases,
So yeah, I appreciate your coach Jim for the trades.

Speaker 7 (25:49):
Let's take a look at the odds to win the
NFC going into League eleven.

Speaker 2 (25:53):
According to our friends at Caesar Sportsbook, it.

Speaker 7 (25:55):
Is the Eagles at the top.

Speaker 2 (25:57):
We're tied with the Rams, the Lions, Seahawks, and Packers
rounding out the list.

Speaker 7 (26:02):
As we get to more or less the.

Speaker 2 (26:05):
Four teams with the best odds to win the conference
just so having to be playing each other this weekend. Eagles,
the Lions, Seahawks, and Rams tons of star power.

Speaker 7 (26:13):
So let's talk about some props.

Speaker 2 (26:14):
For these games as we got the foam fingers out.
So let's begin with the leader in receiving yards in
the National Football League, Jackson Smith and Jig but more
or less than ninety nine yards against.

Speaker 3 (26:24):
The way Okay, so we're gonna go with less than
ninety nine, but he scores a touchdown. My reasoning for
this one is about slowing the pace down, run the
football more, rely on a bit more balance so that
you can control the narrative a bit more. You don't
really want to give Matthew Stafford a bunch of opportunities
to come back against you. So it's just about pace,

(26:46):
it's not about anything.

Speaker 6 (26:47):
To do with him.

Speaker 3 (26:48):
He scores a touchdown, just a slightly lower than one
hundred for senior yards.

Speaker 7 (26:53):
All right, let's go to Greg Roosevelt.

Speaker 2 (26:54):
We'll Pooka Nakula have more or less than seven catches
on Sunday.

Speaker 7 (26:58):
It's a lot.

Speaker 4 (26:59):
If I've learned one thing covering the NFL, it's that.

Speaker 5 (27:01):
Pooka Nakula rules. He's going over seven and a half receptions.
He was high volume early in the season. I know
he's been battling some injuries over the last few weeks,
but he looked great last week. And look, I don't
think the Seahawks are going to give up much deep
down the field, so I think it's gonna be a
lot of the shorter routes to Pooka Nakoula. And yeah,
Davante Adams is great, but he's a little banged up

(27:23):
this week. And ultimately, when it's winning time, it's Puka time.

Speaker 7 (27:26):
It's going to Jamiir Gibbs, who's We've had a lot
of Gibbs time this season. He went off last week
for one hundred and forty two yards two scores.

Speaker 2 (27:33):
Does he go over sixty two yards against the Philadelphia Eagles. Yeah,
it's sixty two yards for Jamiir Gibbs. I think he
will discussed his success, the explosiveness. Look at this game
against the Tampa.

Speaker 4 (27:45):
Bay sixty two plus right there.

Speaker 7 (27:47):
It happens right there.

Speaker 2 (27:48):
There was there was a time where the longest rush
for Jamiir Gibbs was was.

Speaker 7 (27:52):
Fiend Family from Cynthia Freelis on this show. And yeah,
I think he'll have a big one. He'll have the opportunity.
And as Greg pointed out, maybe he's not playing as
many passing down plays.

Speaker 2 (28:03):
But cards are there for the Eagles, Lions, Rams, Seahawks
all very likely to be in the playoffs coming up.

Speaker 3 (28:10):
No red teams. Isn't that funny There were no red
teams on that graphic.

Speaker 2 (28:14):
It's interesting. Pay attention, folks, taking note. Another team that's
making a push for January, the Bolts.

Speaker 8 (28:22):
They rushed for Herbert FROs.

Speaker 9 (28:24):
Cat touchdown Chargers Lad mcconckey sixteen yards on what DJ
you called.

Speaker 7 (28:33):
It, the cuttings.

Speaker 8 (28:34):
Everything's going to the outside, just got to give a
couple of hard steps and you're gonna be able to
win in the middle of the field.

Speaker 7 (28:40):
And he was wide opened.

Speaker 2 (28:43):
It's sounding from the Reid presented by Microsoft co Pilot.
Microsoft co Pilot, your AI companion for NFL Game Day
and every Day, we asked which matchup would decide the
Chargers Jags game, and co Pilot highlighted the Jags running
backs against the Chargers linebackers and run defense. ETN had
only eighty eight rushing yards on the ground last week.
If Jacksonville can't establish the run, might be tough sledding

(29:04):
for the Jags offense.

Speaker 7 (29:06):
So that's co Pilot's view. Let's talk more about this
matchup down in Duval.

Speaker 2 (29:11):
As Liam Goldman say, the Chargers have won three in
a row, Jacksonburne coming off an epic collapse against the Titans.
Could this be a trap game? For excuse me, they
lost to the Houston Texans. For the folks in Los Angeles, I.

Speaker 6 (29:26):
Mean, I get what's a trap game some days?

Speaker 4 (29:28):
Draguars have a winning record this year, so I don't
think they can be trapped.

Speaker 3 (29:32):
I don't know what a trap game is, but why
I do have the Chargers winning twenty three to twenty one.
What I'm looking at this game, I just want to
give a little love to Justin Herbert. Why because the
poor man has been getting clobbered. He's gotten hit more
than anyone else, and yet he is still dealing.

Speaker 6 (29:50):
He's delivering deep passes.

Speaker 3 (29:52):
This is a pass first offense, something we did not
think we would be talking about when it comes to
a Jim Harbaugh offense.

Speaker 6 (29:59):
But just look at all these different ways.

Speaker 3 (30:01):
I mean, the man has been doing this with like
all of the pre sure in the world coming against him,
and he's still delivering.

Speaker 6 (30:07):
So I just want to give a little bit of
love where love is due.

Speaker 3 (30:10):
And you know, I've talked a lot about how this
old line can be improved. But Justin Herbert he's dealing
with it. He's being He's very.

Speaker 6 (30:17):
Mature that one.

Speaker 5 (30:18):
He is making it work without a lot of help.

Speaker 4 (30:22):
That's something that should put him in the conversation the MVY.

Speaker 3 (30:26):
What conversation for trap get I was the conversation game?

Speaker 5 (30:29):
You know what could I be help his case in
the How about a last second drive against a defense
that is making a habit of giving up last second
drives to much lesser quarterbacks. Remember back in Week two
when Jake Browning went down the field with a chance
to win the game and stole a win. How about

(30:51):
Gino Smith? Oh, you might say, oh the Raiders lost
that game. Well, they needed touchdowns on their last three drives,
and they got touchdowns on their last three drives. The
Jaguars couldn't get a single stop late. And then last week, Oh,
it's the Coup of grad It's one of the best
games of the entire season. It was twenty six to
nothing in the fourth quarter. All the Jags got to
do is stop Davis Mills once. They couldn't stop him

(31:12):
one time, and he gets in by a neck.

Speaker 4 (31:15):
Let's go. I think the Chargers can beat the Jaguars.

Speaker 7 (31:19):
Yeah, I agree.

Speaker 2 (31:20):
We are all aboard, So folks down there and duvall
hit us up. This is a meme alert. I've got
a three point Chargers win twenty three to twenty. Because
the passing game in Jacksonville is not so hot right now.
Trevor Lawrence has struggled against zone coverage this season. He's
got the second lowest completion percentage against zone and also
he's only one of only three qualified quarterbacks who has

(31:44):
not thrown a touchdown number one against split safety coverage.
There was a struggle, but everybody struggles against the Houston
Texans and their defense.

Speaker 7 (31:54):
I want to see how that Chargers team that really got.

Speaker 2 (31:56):
After Aaron Rodgers last week goes up against tred We
are all on the Chargers and coming up what a
forty year old been like. There's a joking there somewhere
nineties hip hop Craft beer, which is I guess some
people like that in fast.

Speaker 7 (32:11):
Cars, but not these old guys. These guys love slinging touchdowns.

Speaker 2 (32:15):
We're talking Rogers against Flacco the old man bow, which
is weird.

Speaker 7 (32:19):
Because I'm older than both of them. Coming up next
here on games.

Speaker 4 (32:23):
Name and I don't like Kraft beer or carres like nineties.

Speaker 9 (32:33):
Forty year old Joe Flacco ready to take on forty
one year old Aaron Rodgers.

Speaker 7 (32:39):
Rogers fires out to you a talk on treld Crazy
the West Sideline.

Speaker 10 (32:44):
I want to fly sixty eight yards Rogers with the
lead magics.

Speaker 7 (32:49):
Flacco throws a fade and it is call and going
into a slide. His T Higgins money Mack is ready.
They can't get his up in God the Bengals have
a two point lead with seven seconds left on Laclown.
Rogers heard any launches it into the end zone and

(33:10):
it broken up. Did complete half the Bengals half knocked
out the Steelers on Thursday.

Speaker 2 (33:18):
Night, It's Not for Once Ahead presented by Credit One Bank.

Speaker 7 (33:23):
That Week seven game was an as they were seven.

Speaker 2 (33:27):
Passing touchdowns between Rogers and Flaco. Big rematch Sunday. Who
gets a win or something?

Speaker 3 (33:32):
Well, I think it's only fair if they split the series,
So I have Pittsburgh winning twenty five to twenty three is.

Speaker 6 (33:37):
Just what the model picked. The five points is kind
of crazy to me. But I want to talk about
Aaron Rodgers because.

Speaker 3 (33:42):
Last week against the you know, Chargers, it was he
did look a little maybe a little tired, like not
necessarily like what we're used to seeing from him.

Speaker 6 (33:52):
When you shut your eyes and think Aaron Rodgers.

Speaker 3 (33:54):
But one way to knock off the rest is to
play the Bengals. And when you're looking at the opportunity
to just absolutely sling it will start to see good form.

Speaker 6 (34:05):
This will be a question, is Aaron Rodgers back?

Speaker 4 (34:07):
Is Okay?

Speaker 3 (34:07):
Guys, it's gonna matter. It's gonna matter you know it's
it's okay if he's not Aaron Rodgers of you know,
several years ago in every single game. But I think
we see a good version of him and Joe Flacco.

Speaker 2 (34:18):
Yeah, a significantly better version because the opponent is kind
of struggling on defense. I have a thirty to twenty
eight win for the Pittsburgh Steelers here because, as Greg
ross All pointed out a couple of years ago, if
you get the ball to Jalen Warren, Yep, good things happen.

Speaker 4 (34:32):
That's right.

Speaker 7 (34:33):
Here's one thing.

Speaker 4 (34:34):
Tackle.

Speaker 2 (34:35):
When Jalen Warren gets the ball, thirty one percent of
the time he forces a mistackle somewhere. What better opportunity
for him to force miss tackle than against the Cincinnati
Bengals defense, who are doing it at a generational clips
in this generation.

Speaker 6 (34:49):
To force it or are they just gonna let him
run it?

Speaker 4 (34:53):
He just saw it happen, I'm understand.

Speaker 6 (34:55):
But are they even gonna try to force it?

Speaker 7 (34:57):
Maybe we'll see.

Speaker 2 (34:58):
We'll see what al Gold squad has has in store
for Jalen Warren and the Steelers are maybe just anybody
who has football is moving in a general direction opposite
to them.

Speaker 5 (35:07):
Greg right, Usually coming off the bye week, it's like,
oh Andy Rito cook some good stuff up in the lab.
I actually think the opposite happens for the Bengals. They're
worse coming out of the by They have worse ideas.
The Steelers win this game by ten the second time around.
It was a great story. He was one of the
games of the year. Flacco having that night like it
never happens again two times. And why it won't happen
for Flacco in this game is because of the Jimmy's

(35:29):
and the Joe's upfront, or more specifically, the Tjs and
the Nates.

Speaker 4 (35:34):
And the Alexes and the Cams.

Speaker 5 (35:37):
Those are some of the pass rushers for this Steelers
team that I just think are a mismatch for this
pass rush and Joe Flacco, if you look at his
numbers against pressure this year, is one of the worst
two or three quarterbacks in the league. He's just been
able to avoid it. I don't think he can avoid
it this week.

Speaker 2 (35:53):
I got closest to the sixty plus points that we
got the last time they played.

Speaker 7 (35:57):
We don't think they're gonna get that close.

Speaker 2 (35:58):
Vegas still thinks the game is going to be high scoring.
The second highest total of the week.

Speaker 7 (36:04):
The highest totals leader right now the Dallas Cowboys at
the Las Vegas Raiders, ahead of the Bengals, Steelers for Denis, Cardinals, Seahawks,
and Rams.

Speaker 2 (36:14):
But yeah, the Bengals after the buyer back on this
graphic where they belong.

Speaker 7 (36:18):
As we get to some quick picks.

Speaker 2 (36:20):
Here on Game Day View, the Cowboys and Raiders Monday night.
Dallas traded for Quinn and Williams last week.

Speaker 7 (36:25):
How's this one?

Speaker 3 (36:26):
Doesn't? I think we see more than the points total
that we saw projected there. I have twenty seven to
twenty four in favor of the Cowboys in this one.
I want to talk about Cede Lamb because Dak Prescott
has just been dealing and we have documented it pretty
much every single week on this show. But don't forget
fantasy players. This is going to be a big CD

(36:46):
Lamb week. Why because this is the opportunity against a
secondary that is very generous to opposing wide receivers to
not have Dak have to make these tight window catches.

Speaker 6 (36:56):
So there'll be some more space for CD to work with.

Speaker 3 (36:58):
So that's an even better opportunity to not just catch it,
but catch and run which is what Ceedee Lamb does best.

Speaker 2 (37:04):
Go to the Falcons and the Panthers. Atlanta has lost
four in a row, both teams looking forward spark what
happens to him.

Speaker 5 (37:10):
Third, I have the Falcons winning this game by six.
I think their defense is the best unit in this game,
and that's ultimately why it's twenty three to seventeen. But
I want to talk about the quarterbacks in this game.
You know, quarterback development is not linear, and I think
we're at a big moment for both Michael Pennox and
Bryce Young. You remember, after Bryce Young was benched last season,
played much better, aggressive down the stretch.

Speaker 4 (37:31):
I think the last couple of weeks.

Speaker 5 (37:33):
Have been the toughest performances for him individually that I've
seen out of him for a while. Michael Pennox right
now really struggling against man coverage and opposing defenses are
figuring out what he can't do. So young quarterbacks are
gonna go up and they're going to go down. I
think they're both at critical moment. Bryce Young potentially to
ensure that he is the guy there next year, and

(37:54):
then Michael Pennox, I think he wants to show development
within this season and kind of improve on some of
his weaknesses, especially against man coverage.

Speaker 2 (38:02):
Long term implications there in that one. Let's go to
the Texans and the Titans, another divisional matchup. Houston pulled
off a comeback for the Ages last week against the Jags,
and I think they win here without necessarily needing to
come from behind eighteen to sixteen. And I would like
to issue an apology to one Davis Mills, who I doubted,
but he's got the second fastest time to.

Speaker 7 (38:22):
Throw this season.

Speaker 2 (38:24):
Defense maybe with an opportunity to get after him not
a problem for Davis Mills, especially late against the Jacksonville Jaguars.

Speaker 7 (38:31):
So yeah, Greg was right, I was wrong.

Speaker 4 (38:33):
May this David meaningless hail Mary?

Speaker 5 (38:35):
That helped Nico Collins fantasy owners whine their games.

Speaker 7 (38:39):
Yeah, but that helped get over to that was a.

Speaker 5 (38:42):
Dime they were There was like five dimes in this game.
This is a very nice past two here to assaults
on a third line. They don't win the game without that.
That starts that game winning drive.

Speaker 2 (38:50):
Yeah, you can pick out any of those players late
in the game, but the slot of green Grass throwing
too or rough one for the defense when come back
It's time to write this down, and we have been
on fire lately, the whole squad three and oh, Greg
and I have been flawless for nearly a month. Some
of our favorite player props of.

Speaker 7 (39:10):
The week are coming up next right here on game debut.
Stick around.

Speaker 11 (39:14):
You do not want to miss it, like the fenders
have been missing them.

Speaker 7 (39:26):
It is time for write this down.

Speaker 2 (39:28):
As we got some prop predictions for a week eleven.
Greg Rosenthal crushed last week with this Davis Mills passing prop,
so considering that kick us off.

Speaker 5 (39:38):
Though I've hit four straight of these, I might be
losing to Cynthia and Patrick by a lot, but I'm
nailing these.

Speaker 4 (39:44):
Here we go.

Speaker 5 (39:44):
It's gonna all end for Joe Flacco the storybook season.
What I'm ending it here, I hate it to go
under two hundred and fifty eight yards. I just mean
he's not gonna have a great game. I just mean
it's been a fairy tale. And at some point I
think talent matters, and I don't think the Bengals offensive
line is very good, and I do think the Steelers
are in every other composition sometimes and this week their

(40:06):
defense dominates this game and the Bengals ultimately aren't getting
those ws to matter for when Joe Burrow does come
back on Thanksgiving.

Speaker 3 (40:14):
Today, does write this downcount double after Thanksgiving? How are
we going to We're going to figure this out anyways,
But mine is that brock Bowers is going to score
a touchdown on Monday Night against the Cowboys. Quentin Williams
may have been added to the roster, but the secondary
still has a bunch of issues. And when they play
twelve personnel will things go well for brock Bowers.

Speaker 6 (40:34):
We also saw.

Speaker 3 (40:34):
Against the Jags he was able to get into the
endzone three times. The defense does have problems still, I
think brock Bowers capitalizes on them.

Speaker 2 (40:43):
I am going to go to the receiving game where
a Mecca Abuka will have over sixty two receiving yards
against the Buffalo Bills. You look back this season on
what the opposing number one has done against Buffalo. Big
back to the Saint Flowers in Week one going for
one hundred and forty two Jalen Waddle a couple of
weeks ago getting eighty four yards.

Speaker 7 (41:03):
And a touchdown.

Speaker 2 (41:04):
I think the matchup leads towards Abuka playing well like
he wasn't started the season when he was completely healthy.
Thank you for spending time with us here on game debut.

I’m Jay Shetty host of On Purpose the worlds #1 Mental Health podcast and I’m so grateful you found us. I started this podcast 5 years ago to invite you into conversations and workshops that are designed to help make you happier, healthier and more healed. I believe that when you (yes you) feel seen, heard and understood you’re able to deal with relationship struggles, work challenges and life’s ups and downs with more ease and grace. I interview experts, celebrities, thought leaders and athletes so that we can grow our mindset, build better habits and uncover a side of them we’ve never seen before. New episodes every Monday and Friday. Your support means the world to me and I don’t take it for granted — click the follow button and leave a review to help us spread the love with On Purpose. Ruthie's Table 4

Ruthie's Table 4

For more than 30 years The River Cafe in London, has been the home-from-home of artists, architects, designers, actors, collectors, writers, activists, and politicians. Michael Caine, Glenn Close, JJ Abrams, Steve McQueen, Victoria and David Beckham, and Lily Allen, are just some of the people who love to call The River Cafe home. On River Cafe Table 4, Rogers sits down with her customers—who have become friends—to talk about food memories. Table 4 explores how food impacts every aspect of our lives. “Foods is politics, food is cultural, food is how you express love, food is about your heritage, it defines who you and who you want to be,” says Rogers. Each week, Rogers invites her guest to reminisce about family suppers and first dates, what they cook, how they eat when performing, the restaurants they choose, and what food they seek when they need comfort. And to punctuate each episode of Table 4, guests such as Ralph Fiennes, Emily Blunt, and Alfonso Cuarón, read their favourite recipe from one of the best-selling River Cafe cookbooks. Table 4 itself, is situated near The River Cafe’s open kitchen, close to the bright pink wood-fired oven and next to the glossy yellow pass, where Ruthie oversees the restaurant. You are invited to take a seat at this intimate table and join the conversation.
