Speaker 1 (00:04):
Good Morning Football is the production of the NFL in
partnership with iHeartRadio.
Speaker 2 (00:09):
When I see us football, everybody, Indeed, I'm still saying it,
even though it is squarely in the afternoon in Madrid, Spain,
GMFB live on a Friday from Madrid, I'm making friends.
Speaker 3 (00:25):
I got my sign.
Speaker 4 (00:26):
It says, do you watch good morning football? Or this
good morning Football? That's a translation Jamie ear at all,
of course here in Madrid, sadly not back in La
today with Man Titeo and Cam Jordan.
Speaker 5 (00:37):
Look at those two sitting.
Speaker 4 (00:38):
At the table. And as always our highlight anchor Kyle
Brandt in New York. It's GMFB on a Friday.
Speaker 3 (00:44):
Kyle, how you doing.
Speaker 1 (00:46):
It's incredible that Jamie flew across the world and she
has this amazing background in this exotic, beautiful country, and
everyone right now is looking at Cam's jacket and hair.
That's just there's nothing you can do about it, Jamie, Well,
there's nothing you can do.
Speaker 3 (00:59):
We're gonna get into all of it.
Speaker 1 (01:00):
It's Good Morning Football International.
Speaker 6 (01:02):
Start the show.
Speaker 4 (01:17):
Welcome to Good Morning Football presented by Old Trapper. That's
right live from Madrid, Spain. It's GMFB on a Friday,
Jamie Kyle, Cam Jordan, Cam Jordan's jacket and Manti Sao
Here it's a stunning day. I am in front of
the Royal Palace of Madrid, where the royal family lives,
(01:38):
although all royal families never actually live in these places
because I don't know. They're too ornate. You can't touch anything,
you can't drop a cup, so people walk around it,
they look at it because it's stunningly beautiful. It is
a beautiful day. I have some fans a little confused,
a lot of people wearing NFL gear, But I still
think we're in that beautiful time, Kyle, where people are
just learning about the NFL, what we're all about. And
(02:00):
I already met a Patriots fan and I'm like, look
at you. You barely had a thirty second TV timeout
from having a team that was challenged, and now you're
back on a renaissance. Thursday night football was a beautiful
thing if you were a New England fan, it really was.
Speaker 1 (02:13):
Yesterday Jamie found a fan wearing a Miami Dolphins Dante
Culpepper jersey. Jamie, I want to see if you can
find a random one that's entertaining this morning.
Speaker 6 (02:21):
We got Cam, we got Man Tai. But guys, we
have Patriots Jets.
Speaker 5 (02:25):
On the zon.
Speaker 1 (02:26):
Let's get right to it and we're all gonna talk
about it because it was an important game last night,
important because one of the best teams in the NFL
was playing for it. And the Patriots come into this
game having won seventh straight. At eight and two, Drake
May a lotta hoopla. It's his first home primetime game.
Speaker 3 (02:43):
But wait a second.
Speaker 1 (02:43):
The Jets have won two in row Chustin Field on
the opening drive fourteen plays touchdown on the Jet's gonna
flip the table.
Speaker 3 (02:51):
No, but second quarter here we go.
Speaker 1 (02:53):
Drake May show us something in those cool uniforms that
everyone seemed to like.
Speaker 6 (02:58):
Helse said, we show you, show you Treyvon Henderson, who.
Speaker 1 (03:01):
Gets push push push, push, push, push push push.
Speaker 6 (03:03):
That is not a Toush push. It's also is that
gonna be I legal?
Speaker 1 (03:06):
If they've panned the toushpush, we'll talk about it in
the offseason. In the meantime, it's an angry run. It's
a group run. Everyone had their parents permission slip to
the group activity. Drake May is smiling seven to seven.
Now he goes to work, Big old hunter, henry've been
in New England a long time.
Speaker 3 (03:21):
One of the bets in that locker room.
Speaker 1 (03:23):
First down, twenty three yards, May six straight completions to
start the game. Five plays later, Drake May to the
barefoot wonder the Contessa, we call him Mac Collins over
the middle nineteen yards. Watch Drake may move in the pocket,
keypus E's downfield eleven for eleven to start the game.
In fact, his first incompletion was a perfect throat to
Stefan Diggs, which was dropped.
Speaker 6 (03:44):
It was not even May's fault.
Speaker 1 (03:46):
This is not the same play as Trevion again showing
nasty moves and taking the lead fourteen to seven.
Speaker 6 (03:53):
Mike Rabel smiling with the mustache. It was just his
kind of night.
Speaker 1 (03:56):
And then the Patriots just held on and the rest
of the time everyone's just chanting and watching and enjoying.
And Drake Maye, he really he has an amazing job
of moving in the pocket and keeping his eyes down field.
Speaker 6 (04:07):
He does.
Speaker 1 (04:08):
I mean, the Jets defense has lost some firepowers, no quinn,
there's no sauce, but they have one two in a row.
Speaker 6 (04:13):
Drake May just looked great.
Speaker 7 (04:15):
Fourteen to seven now first and ten in the third quarter,
rolling rowing and what a little push.
Speaker 1 (04:21):
Pass shot put to Diggs. Diggs was very productive last night.
I had one hundred yard receiving game. He is coming
on and will loom large down the stretch for this
Patriots team. Two plays later, guess what he goes to
Trevion in the back of the endine on a reception.
Speaker 7 (04:37):
Drake May was asked about MVP chance in Foxborough.
Speaker 1 (04:40):
He said, I think they're for Trayvion tonight. Great answer, kid,
got a little twinkle in his eye. Brabil is positively giddy.
He's not a giddy type of dude. And there's the
aforementioned MVP chatter for Drake May again in his second season.
Speaker 6 (04:54):
Only second season only.
Speaker 1 (04:57):
The guy is really really young and he wins twenty
seven or fourteen. The Jets had that opening touchdown to
the Patriots just flexed on him. Nine and two, folks
best record in the National Football League. Afterwards, here is
the burgeoning superstar Drake May.
Speaker 8 (05:14):
Yeah, I think it's a quick turnaround. The goal of
these Thursday night just come out with a win, and
that's what happened.
Speaker 5 (05:19):
Things were looked back on.
Speaker 8 (05:21):
You know, could have didn't have much time to prepare
for some things that I could. You look back at
myself and you know, wish I had plays back. But
at end of the day, it's probably these guys for
the effort the win, and that's the best thing about
you know.
Speaker 5 (05:32):
Thursday night.
Speaker 8 (05:33):
You get a weekend to catch up on some some
rest and some heel up. But I thought his fans
were awesome, you know, I think it was pretty sweet
for the prime time game here for our first one
at home.
Speaker 6 (05:42):
Pretty sweet.
Speaker 8 (05:43):
And then yes, gotta be one.
Speaker 4 (05:47):
The New England Patriots are nine and two. This team
has the potential to go from worse in their division
to first for the first time since two thousand and one.
And let's not all remember all at one time what
they did back in two thousand and one. Mike Rabel
has this thing absolutely humming. He's turned around Manti Tale
and all at the hand of quarterback who maybe hates
to hear those three letters that are being chanted not
(06:08):
only on the road, but especially back at home on
a Thursday night football game.
Speaker 9 (06:12):
Yeah, he may hate it, Jane, but it's fitting. I mean,
I don't need to see the stats. I don't need to.
Speaker 5 (06:16):
See the highlights.
Speaker 9 (06:18):
Like when I watched Drake May play, It's fascinating to
watch the touch at which he puts on Boss's almost
like watching Joe Flacco. Like when I watch Joe Flacco
throw the ball, he's not only zipping the ball in,
but he has this touch, especially like fifteen yards down
the field. I see that in Drake May. I see
the poise which he plays with. But the thing that
sends out to me, and Cam knows more more than
me about this because he played the man is the
(06:39):
decision making right. And I don't have to look at
and the reason why these clips are.
Speaker 5 (06:43):
Playing is all I need to see is the incompletions.
Speaker 9 (06:46):
Right when I see these incompletions I see Drake May,
that is just like, you know what, there's something that
has to go wrong in certain places. There's so many
quarterbacks that I don't watch them. You're like, why would
he throw that ball? But the three plays that we
just showed a perfect time to Mac Hollins where Mac
Collins just gets the ball punched out perfectly situated. On
play where he's running to the sideline, he could have
(07:08):
easy run out of bounds, lost a few years, but
he just tosses the ball, all the bounds, decision making,
and then the last one was I remember watching this
last night. Late in the fourth quarter, the ball gets tipped.
You can't really tell it gets tipped, but Drake May
is playing so well that when the ball gets tipped
and it looks all funky, You're like, there's no way
that he threw that ball. It had to be tipped.
There's so many quarterbacks that you're watching this game today,
you're like, why would he throw that? But when you're
(07:29):
watching Drake May play for this for this season, very
rarely do you see the ball come out of his
hands and you're thinking, like, why would he ever throw
this ball? That's a bad ball. So I don't need
to see stats. I don't need to see completions. There
are sometimes that incompletions say that say say the loudest
message to me as far as how well he's playing camp,
And I think if he continues to keep that up,
I mean.
Speaker 5 (07:47):
He's going to have to get used to those MVP chants.
Speaker 3 (07:49):
MVPs. Okay, look, I can work off that.
Speaker 10 (07:52):
When I think about, you know, being able to play them.
Earlier this year I was I was studying the film
from the first two games. Well, you know, he was
out there when they had lost to the Raiders and
when they had.
Speaker 3 (08:01):
Lost to the Steelers.
Speaker 10 (08:02):
I was like, oh, yeah, that's the quarter of everything
game we got them, And all of a sudden he's
mobile in the quarterback, mobile in the pocket, he's making
these throws and I was like, no, that's just a fluke.
And then he's put together these games were that's.
Speaker 3 (08:12):
Not a fluke. That is that is where he's becomes.
He's able to step.
Speaker 10 (08:16):
In the pocket, he's cool under pressure. He feels the
pressure and he's able to escape that. And he's making
big throws. I mean he steps into the steps into
these hits at times to make it. Throw this stuff
on damage at Matcollins. So, I mean he's made all
the right decisions and there's a reason why he's sitting in.
Speaker 3 (08:29):
Nine to two.
Speaker 6 (08:32):
Listen, Cam. He's a nice, really good looking young quarterback.
Are we getting a little two nuts here? MVP?
Speaker 3 (08:39):
I mean, his bradiest name is getting thrown around.
Speaker 6 (08:42):
Is it too much? Too early?
Speaker 1 (08:44):
You tell me you played against the uiqu quarterbacks for breakfast?
Speaker 10 (08:46):
Yeah, I mean, in my mind, I'm never gonna throw
MVP or you know anything at at at a second
year quarterback, but that'd be said he is playing lights
out and he's and they're playing winning football at nine.
Speaker 3 (08:58):
And what are they nine and two? You're going to
get on his chance? I mean, you think.
Speaker 10 (09:01):
About a couple of weeks ago when everybody was rooting
for Baker Mayfield. You know, like there's a quarterback, a
MVP and a winning team.
Speaker 3 (09:09):
It's just the formula that it is.
Speaker 10 (09:10):
You're on a winning team, you're playing good football, You're
going to get those chants. I take it with a
grain of salt. For another four weeks or five years,
and we'll know.
Speaker 3 (09:18):
Frem here.
Speaker 5 (09:20):
I hear that.
Speaker 1 (09:21):
Listen watching this team last night, I find them very likable.
I find them very easy to root for. Everything in
the way that they're built. The young quarterback, I mean,
it's Drake may He looks like a combination of he
Man with one of the Team America puppets and a
little bit of Vampire Diaries. He's like in some sort
of laboratory or factory or something. Their young core, Trayveon
(09:44):
is amazing. They got the vets like Stefan Diggs and
Henry they got this tough guy head coach, and no
one wants to mess with who's got skins on the wall.
They're just they're a really cool team. And even in
the Brady Empires, not often they were really easy to
root for because Belichick was such a curmudgeon and they
had so much of that evil Empire factor. I don't
feel that at all from these Patriots.
Speaker 6 (10:03):
But I'll tell you what like.
Speaker 7 (10:05):
In terms of Drake May, there is a very very
very small group of players quarterbacks who at twenty three
years old or younger Drake May's twenty three, have won
eight straight games in the NFL.
Speaker 1 (10:19):
Here is the group, because he is now part of it.
They have won eight in a row.
Speaker 3 (10:24):
And this is a crew.
Speaker 1 (10:26):
You got Ben start at the top, Ben Lamar Dak
did it in his crazy rookie year. You got Peyton,
you got Marino, Deshaun Watson on Houston, and yes that
is Kyle Orton on the Chicago Bears who won eight
in a row at twenty three year younger. And then
you got Drake May, who's just looking at so cool
and so easy.
Speaker 3 (10:45):
Cam Jordan.
Speaker 1 (10:45):
While I've got you here, let's play up to your resume.
Keep that thing up and Cam, go through it. Bring
that thing back up, go through it. How many of
those quarterbacks.
Speaker 6 (10:55):
Have you sacked? Go ahead, cam Man, Ben Roethlisberger.
Speaker 10 (10:59):
Twice, Yeah, Roethlisberger. Yeah, And he was my first interception, Lamar.
I think I'll fallen off of it twice, Dak Prescott
a few times. Uh, I think that might be it
because I think Peyton I caught him at at Denver Broncos.
Speaker 5 (11:14):
You know, Uh the Shawn, Yeah.
Speaker 10 (11:17):
For sure, got the shot like three times in a
game when it was at the Texas before he got
to the Browns.
Speaker 3 (11:25):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (11:25):
I don't know, but you didn't get Drake this year, right, No,
I didn't get Drake like he.
Speaker 10 (11:29):
Like shrugged me off and was like able to complete
this pass. And I was like, all right, you know
what I tried? All right, I was the next one.
You can't you can't worry about the You can't worry
about the last one. You worry about the next one.
Speaker 3 (11:39):
Cam.
Speaker 1 (11:39):
While we have you, it's an amazing game last night.
We're getting to news shortly. The jacket, the hair, the jewelry.
We've been We've known you for years. I've never seen
this tite of a look and you just take us
through your Look, this is really something man.
Speaker 10 (11:51):
Look it's uh went to you know, went to Egypt
a few years back, brought back to my cartoonse Allegedly
it says, you know Jordan or Cam on it. It's
two sides here right then? Uh, you know, we got
just just a little vibe, you know, the little black
teach shirt God has loved t shirt with Malcolm X
on there credit Scott King because everybody needs a correto.
Speaker 3 (12:09):
You know, I don't.
Speaker 10 (12:10):
In my mind, We're really just chilling. It's a good
vibe today. You know, I knew I was gonna see
my dog. My dog made titano. So I just came.
Speaker 3 (12:17):
I came there.
Speaker 9 (12:18):
You know, KB, KB, you know this bro on Friday.
You know what Friday is, right KB. It's hoodie Friday
and everybody knows that about La and so I came
out in my hoodie. But I knew that Cam was
coming on. And I knew me Cam being a brother
of mine, I knew Cam was going to bring something.
Speaker 5 (12:32):
So before I even finished.
Speaker 9 (12:33):
My wardrobe, I walked out of the wardrobe room and
I was like, Where's Cam. I walk into the green room,
I see Cam with this jacket. He throws a jacket
to me. I hold it and I'm like, whoa, I
better go change my outfit real quick.
Speaker 5 (12:44):
So I had literally changed.
Speaker 9 (12:45):
So shout out to the wardrobe crew because they changed
me based on his vibe.
Speaker 3 (12:48):
He said, count you know, I felt it was like, oh,
I got to switch up. I was like, have min's light.
Speaker 10 (12:52):
You know what I'm saying. I'm meant for the lights
to hit and I'm still good.
Speaker 1 (12:55):
You got to have a really bold jacket to distract
attention from the silver hair that you've got cam going
because you got all kinds of things going on.
Speaker 3 (13:02):
You look incredible. Let's go to news.
Speaker 6 (13:05):
I would be willing to.
Speaker 1 (13:05):
Bet Tom Pellisera is not wearing a jacket with Correta
Scott King, but maybe we'll be surprised.
Speaker 6 (13:10):
Nope, he is not. Tom.
Speaker 1 (13:11):
Good morning, what's going on, what's in the news, and
how are you.
Speaker 11 (13:18):
I'm doing great, Kyle.
Speaker 3 (13:19):
Let's talk quarterbacks.
Speaker 11 (13:21):
Storry now with San Francisco, which finally has QB one
back in the lineup. Kyle Shanahan announcing on Thursday brock
Perty will return to the starting lineup on Sunday against
the Cardinals. First time Perty has played since back in
Week four, only his third start this season, as he's
dealt with a turf toe injury. The forty nine ers
have been extremely beat up. They are also expected to
(13:43):
get back wide receiver Ricky pearsall this week. Rock Perdy
spoke confidently in the lockerower about how he will be
able to function on the field even after all the
missed reps. Purdy back in the lineup this week. JJ
McCarthy also appears to be good to go for the
Vikings despite an injury to his throwing hand that popped
up in the game against the ravensmccarthy said that he
(14:05):
hit his hand on a helmet was wearing a.
Speaker 6 (14:07):
Bandage on that hand.
Speaker 11 (14:08):
Limited in practice Wednesday, but full go on Thursday. They
are going to need him and need him to play
well for big game on Sunday against the Bears. Meanwhile,
for Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson, he also returned to practice
on Thursday, officially listed as a full participant, despite some
knee soorts that held him out of practice on Wednesday.
Of course, as we and the Ravens know well by now,
(14:31):
full preditionment means Lamar.
Speaker 6 (14:32):
Took all the first team reps.
Speaker 11 (14:33):
He appears to be good to go for their game
Sunday against the Browns Cow.
Speaker 6 (14:39):
Thank you, Tom. I'm especially a side of for j J. McCarthy.
Speaker 1 (14:41):
Remember week one he played the Bears and had this
heroic comeback on Monday Night Football.
Speaker 6 (14:45):
I want him out there against Caleb. Tom. I want
you back on the show. I know we'll be checking
in with you soon. Thank you very much for your report,
as always, my friend. Meanwhile, the Eagles and the Lions have.
Speaker 1 (14:55):
The two best win percentages in the NFC since twenty
twenty two, last three years.
Speaker 6 (15:00):
Those are the two best teams.
Speaker 1 (15:01):
What is going to happen when they collide Sunday night
in South Philly?
Speaker 3 (15:06):
We got you covered on this game, mad time.
Speaker 6 (15:08):
Tell us else what else we got on the show today?
Speaker 5 (15:10):
Go you know where? You know where?
Speaker 9 (15:11):
Jared Goffwin. He went to the University of cal Why
is that relevant? Because we have one of the greats here,
my brother Jordan Cam Gray. Cam is a Cal great.
He's a NOH New Orleans great.
Speaker 5 (15:22):
All time great.
Speaker 9 (15:22):
We're gonna talk about their win against Panthers the NFC South.
Speaker 6 (15:25):
Everything.
Speaker 9 (15:26):
Don't go anywhere at GMFB on a Friday.
Speaker 3 (15:29):
Let's go.
Speaker 11 (15:39):
Good mon football, pressure coming, Shark has a moment. He
goes jeep down the shideline.
Speaker 5 (15:47):
And the catch is made and taking it.
Speaker 11 (15:49):
In for a shats touchdown.
Speaker 3 (15:51):
Ranks showing out of the shotgun. Sants to bring some
pressure and he's gonna go down.
Speaker 10 (15:55):
That's Cam Jordan, shuck Wilsons left.
Speaker 9 (15:59):
Now close it up and he's got you want Johnson
down the up sideline, touchtown, New Orleans, and.
Speaker 12 (16:06):
The Saints will march out of Bank of America Stadium
with a seventeen to seven win.
Speaker 4 (16:14):
You know, I think I want to put Tyler shuck
Saints jersey at the top of my list of ones
that I'd like to see in Madrid's Spain.
Speaker 3 (16:20):
Wouldn't that be special?
Speaker 6 (16:21):
Right?
Speaker 4 (16:22):
The first time in Saints' history, a rookie quarterback and
a first year head coach gets a win last weekend.
It was the Saints over the Panthers, a divisional matchup,
a divisional win for New Orleans. It must feel good
in the big easy, Cam Jordan, What was that win
like for not only your rookie quarterback but the team
as a whole.
Speaker 10 (16:38):
Wait a minute, it does feel good to win because
we're sitting at two and eight.
Speaker 3 (16:42):
We need each and every one of these wins. Yes,
seven game. Now we do.
Speaker 10 (16:46):
Everything perfectly, we could end in a pretty darn good,
you know, nine and eight situation.
Speaker 6 (16:49):
Let's go.
Speaker 3 (16:50):
We have to play perfect, and I've got nothing.
Speaker 10 (16:52):
But positivity and the idea that we can do so
because I think, you know, Tyler Shuck, second start gets
a win. Okay, now we got a vibe. The locker
room has been actually really strong, corese strong, you know
me tomorrow tomorrow after the game, gives us this great
speech about what winn is supposed to feel like.
Speaker 3 (17:08):
Because we have known success.
Speaker 10 (17:09):
We have to figure out what our Formula two success
is this season, and we've sort of touched it.
Speaker 6 (17:14):
Now.
Speaker 3 (17:14):
We just got to have to be able to We
have to be able to replicate it for the next
seven weeks, and I think we got the team to
do so.
Speaker 10 (17:20):
Tyler Shuck, not that that work, one hundasserating whatever you have.
Speaker 4 (17:25):
It did work, Tyler Schuck. Shout out to Tyler Shuck,
the rookie making it work for the Saints last weekend.
Now we are really interested in the NFC South for
a lot of reasons. Everybody seems to be bubbling to
the surface. But we also look at the Tampa Bay
Buccaneers and the fact that Baker Mayfield has to go
up to Buffalo and take on a Bills team. Both
teams are six and three entering week eleven. Now, these two,
(17:48):
while they like to banter about hand sizes and golf
clubs and golf gloves and whatnot, we also know that
they were teammates actually once before at the twenty eighteen
Senior Bowl. Their friendship has developed. We enjoy watching them
play football. We enjoy like watching them be competitive with
each other on and off the field. Now they will
play each other this weekend. Cam Jordan, right back to you.
(18:09):
You have played both of these guys this season and
many times before. What's it like getting after both Baker
and Josh Allen?
Speaker 10 (18:16):
I I have sacked both of these guys now, you
know before. But either way, I think when you have
Josh Allen, you know, you the former MVP from last year,
a guy who really has known a lot of success.
Speaker 3 (18:29):
You know exactly what he brings to the table.
Speaker 10 (18:31):
You know, you got what he's able to do with
his backfield, what he is able to do with his
wide receivers. I mean the ability of them to be
a balanced team. You know, that's where you see the
most success when you have them running out the pocket,
escape and making down the field plays. When you have
him being able to step up. I prefer when I'm
sacking him. But you know, the world sees exactly who
(18:53):
he is, a guy who has amazing arm talent from
the University of Wyoming. You know, when you think about
what the Bills team has done, They've put together some
wins and now I don't know who to I don't
root for anybody, but I assume that they'll take care
of a business.
Speaker 3 (19:09):
Were Tampa Bay heads on up there? Keep my division close.
Speaker 5 (19:12):
Yeah.
Speaker 9 (19:12):
When when you talk about Josh Allen cam and you
talked about, you know, just the weapon that he is, well,
I think if you look at this year, the biggest
weapon they have is James Cook, the running back. And
what I'm going to be looking at in this game
with Vita Vea as a noseguard for the for the
Buccaneers and with Lavonte David the wily veteran at middle linebacker,
is how is that going to work in the event
(19:33):
that Vita Vea and Lavonte David do what seems like
no other team has been able to do, and that
stopped James Cook in that run game.
Speaker 5 (19:40):
In the event that that happens, are we going.
Speaker 9 (19:42):
To see the Josh Allen that we've been waiting to
see all all season long, because, to be frank with it,
we haven't seen it yet, right, we haven't seen Josh
Allen at his best for whatever reason that is. And
I'm excited for when the real Josh Allen comes out
where he just relaxed and he's calm and he's doing
all of these things, these these these these highlight players
where he's jumping over people, running over people.
Speaker 5 (20:02):
That's what I'm.
Speaker 9 (20:02):
Excited to see because the game is a lot better
when seventeen is feeling confident, and the Buffalo Bills are
extremely a lot better when seventeen is feeling confident.
Speaker 5 (20:10):
So that's what I'm going to be looking for. It's Ken, Ken,
the buccaneer stopped to run.
Speaker 1 (20:15):
Enough about this Josh Allen, This Josh Allen. Let's get
more back to Drake May. Guys, don't you know that
Drake May is the brand new big thing Josh Allen. Yeah,
Yesterday's news Bills yesterday's news. At least that's how the
conversation goes. Now, listen if you're in Buffalo. I know
for a fact that Josh Allen loves watching football games
(20:35):
and he's not playing, and he likes watching the Sunday
night or the Thursday night of the Monday nighter. I
guarantee he had that game on last night. And he's
seeing he the Patriots who are trying to take over
the division, who have the best record in the NFL,
who who have already beaten the Bills in Buffalo, and
he's seeing MVP chance. Josh Allen was the MVP I
don't know, seven eight, nine months ago he was awarded that,
(20:56):
and now they're seeing a second year guy who is
throwing to the same receiver that Josh shoots to throw to,
getting big primetime wins.
Speaker 6 (21:04):
Like in your division, there is someone on your block.
Speaker 1 (21:07):
And the Bills have had this nice run where they
win T shirts from whin the AFC East every single
year because they beat the hell out of the terrible Patriots,
terrible Jets, bad.
Speaker 6 (21:15):
Most of the time Dolphins.
Speaker 1 (21:17):
And now like there's another rooster in the henhouse and
he wears a Patriots Jersey and his name is Drake
Drake May May. So Buffalo, wake up, Wake up, because
guess what you're playing the Buccaneers. Guess who beat the
Buccaneers last week? Drake Drake may May.
Speaker 6 (21:34):
They beat them.
Speaker 1 (21:35):
If you can't beat them, you're not keeping up with
the MVP talk. Never mind that, just keep up in
the AFC East because otherwise you're not getting a T
shirt this year.
Speaker 6 (21:43):
They're getting shipped to Foxboro. Buffalo big game.
Speaker 3 (21:46):
Need a win.
Speaker 6 (21:47):
I'm not saying need the national attention, MVP.
Speaker 7 (21:49):
I'm saying the division is being taken from you by
a younger team who may be better coached right now.
Speaker 6 (21:55):
So if you've got something, now's the time to wake up.
Speaker 3 (21:57):
And the show got something.
Speaker 10 (21:59):
They're six and three, you know, it's not like they're
it's not like they're frame nine.
Speaker 3 (22:03):
And two winning record. They ain't nine and two.
Speaker 10 (22:05):
Doubt, But I figure out this Sunday what happens, you know,
like we'll see, we'll see where the Buffalo bills go.
Speaker 3 (22:11):
You know, like this this is the month to make
it right.
Speaker 10 (22:14):
November is a month where you want to make the
most tries. Then you got December coming up. It'll leads
you to the playoffs. There's plenty of football left, seven
games that could be a huge swing.
Speaker 3 (22:22):
Come on this, It's not like it's no news gap.
It's a three game different in the division. Let's just
see where Sunday and from there.
Speaker 6 (22:30):
I agree, I agree, I'm being dramatic.
Speaker 1 (22:32):
My point is, Buffalo, let's get after it. It's time
to tyner start playing your best football.
Speaker 6 (22:38):
It is November.
Speaker 1 (22:39):
The division is being led by a team that you're
supposed to be better than, allegedly, Like it's just a
wake up call.
Speaker 6 (22:44):
You can still win the division, you can still have
the one seed in the AFC.
Speaker 1 (22:48):
You can do everything. But if you don't get it
going out. You look at the Scots that time, Rao.
Speaker 10 (22:52):
You look at schedule and Bills definitely have a harder schedule.
Speaker 3 (22:54):
You look at you look at the Patriots.
Speaker 10 (22:56):
I mean, who do the Patriots have left with the
winning schedule?
Speaker 9 (23:00):
So what I'm going to ask us, we're talking a
lot about the Buffalo Bills, what do we think about
the template Buccaneers, Because I mean, Baker Mayfield isn't it
isn't somebody to take like it was just getting MVB
chance A few a few few right over there in
in in San Francisco, you know what I mean. So
this is somebody that, regardless who has been on the
field for him. And it sounds like Bucky Irvin just
(23:20):
returned back to practice for Scotwin just turn returned back
to practice.
Speaker 6 (23:23):
Like a lot of.
Speaker 9 (23:24):
People don't realize that Baker Mayfield has been doing this
without some of his top dogs, has been doing it
with the rookie who has been phenomenal. I mean a
matter of fact, two rookies that have been phenomenal for him.
So yeah, so you're talking about a guy who consistently.
Speaker 6 (23:37):
Shows up for his team, he leads his team.
Speaker 9 (23:39):
So I'm not going to just cross skip over the
template Buccaneers, and I know we didn't do it that intentionally.
Speaker 5 (23:43):
Were just that the topic was the Buffalo Bills at
the time.
Speaker 9 (23:46):
But this is going to be something where you're going
to have two of the best teams not only in
their conferences but in the division that are going to
come together and we're going.
Speaker 3 (23:53):
To see what it looks like.
Speaker 5 (23:54):
And I think it's going to be good test for both.
Speaker 1 (23:56):
Oh, we'll talk a lot of Baker over the next
two weeks in the Bucks. Now they got the Rams
after this. But Cam, let's just let's talk about the
elephant in the room. What is your current relationship now
with the Buccaneers.
Speaker 6 (24:05):
You guys go way back. It's up, it's down.
Speaker 1 (24:07):
I saw a couple of weeks ago their general manager
took a little shot at you on social media, like,
how are you feeling right now?
Speaker 8 (24:13):
Hey?
Speaker 10 (24:14):
They went eight years with no playoff runs? Right, and
then they get Tom Brady. They know they figure out
from him what winning feels like. And this is where
they're in. There's revolution of winning, so they have every
right they take their shot. When you're on top, you can,
you can. You know you're looking down until you're not.
So it's up to us and knock them off the mountain.
And there's seven games left with the you know whatever.
We're sitting at two and eight, they're sitting at six
(24:35):
and three. We have a clear fight for the next
seven weeks.
Speaker 3 (24:38):
For the Saints.
Speaker 10 (24:39):
I'm not worried about anybody but us, But the fact
that you know we lost to.
Speaker 3 (24:43):
Them must my chagrin. It is what it is. You know,
we have our abilities.
Speaker 10 (24:48):
You know where we're in the quarterback situation, we're growing quarterbacks,
We're growing players.
Speaker 3 (24:52):
We're we're trending now hopefully it's trending up. We're trending.
I think that with our defensive players.
Speaker 10 (24:58):
You know, you got a Lante Taylor, You've got kool
Aid McKinstry, we got a young guy, young Quincy at dB.
Speaker 3 (25:04):
We're growing every which where.
Speaker 10 (25:06):
Now they've you know, Tampa Bay just happened to have
savvy veterans and they brought on some rookies that are
able to learn from the guys like Mike Evans and
Chris Godwin and I.
Speaker 3 (25:14):
Still can't say his name Ega.
Speaker 5 (25:16):
What he said.
Speaker 10 (25:19):
Monster, right, But I just think that, you know, with
with Bucky Irving, with their running backs, they have talent
at every position, you know. For for us, we are
growing our talent and then we rely on guys like
Alba Kamara.
Speaker 3 (25:32):
And Taysom Hill.
Speaker 1 (25:33):
Last question, Cam h Bucks Saints at Bucks December seventh,
Will you shake hands and hug it out with Bucks
general manager Jason Light before the game?
Speaker 10 (25:42):
I will get a picture so I will know exactly
who to hug.
Speaker 13 (25:45):
But after we win, yes, absolutely, all right, Now, friends,
I found some friends in the Drid, Spain.
Speaker 4 (25:59):
That is the Royal Palace. That is what we in
TV talk like to call a scenic and boy it is.
Speaker 10 (26:04):
Ever.
Speaker 4 (26:05):
There's no rain today, which means that when I find
my friends, we don't have to be under umbrellas or tents.
It means that Cam Wolf, Toront Armstead and myself gets
to stand here and talk about the game ahead of
Sunday morning Dolphins Commanders going down Miami Washington Tron.
Speaker 3 (26:20):
How you doing doing well?
Speaker 5 (26:21):
Doing well?
Speaker 3 (26:22):
Who would be in?
Speaker 5 (26:23):
I might say stuck the landing.
Speaker 3 (26:25):
That's it, That's all I got.
Speaker 4 (26:26):
I'm not even gonna try. I got DS football and
that's where I live out.
Speaker 6 (26:31):
Okay, that good, sarn.
Speaker 4 (26:32):
How are you feeling you're over here? What are you
doing while you're here?
Speaker 14 (26:34):
Yeah, I'm here and joy enjoy Madrid, join my Dolphins
getting ready to beta against the Commanders on Sunday.
Speaker 5 (26:41):
So sure, I'm excited.
Speaker 15 (26:43):
Sure, I'm pumped because this game is what the Dolphins
have been building up for. This is their market, this
is their home game. They want to be the Spanish
speaking market that people root for.
Speaker 3 (26:53):
Right.
Speaker 15 (26:54):
I'm curious for you, Toron, like, as you've been around
the city, get recognized anybody you have some fun moments
of Dolphins fans or NFL fans in general.
Speaker 14 (27:03):
Definitely, definitely have had some great interactions with some fans
out here. Played for a long time. You know, te
Stad was popping back in his day. Yeah, so they
know me a little bit. But yeah, it's a very
strong Dolphins presence here in Spain. In Madrid, Commando's got
a few fans maybe three, four, six, seven fans, that's
about it. Yeah, but it's very heavily Dolphins here. I
(27:24):
was at a kids camp yesterday. We had hundreds of
kids out there. They were just so excited. Can't wait
for this game someday.
Speaker 3 (27:30):
Ye see what you get that.
Speaker 4 (27:31):
With somebody to say on a certain list of things
during this television.
Speaker 5 (27:34):
Oh no, not at all. So far, we've hit.
Speaker 4 (27:36):
Two very prominent things that I don't even want to acknowledge.
Trent's been a couple of months since you have put
on the jersey, since you were playing. I can't imagine
you're very far from the game though. Specifically this Dolphins season,
it's been fascinating to watch because they have to they
relieve the GM of his duties.
Speaker 3 (27:51):
They have some wins.
Speaker 4 (27:52):
They have a crazy win against the Bills last weekend.
Tua is up at the podium a month ago saying
some strange stuff about the team.
Speaker 3 (27:58):
What do you make of this now?
Speaker 4 (27:59):
As an outsider, but knowing the heartbeat of this.
Speaker 14 (28:02):
Team, Fascinating wouldn't be the word I would use, yeah
to describe the season. It's been challenging for me. I've
you know, I'm so recently removed.
Speaker 3 (28:10):
I retired in.
Speaker 14 (28:11):
April, so a lot of those guys got a lot
of history with We've shared, you know, real moments. So
seeing the struggles that they've had with Tua, Mike, Chris Greer,
his departure from the team, it's been challenging. Last week's
win is revitalizing, like it can really bring back the life,
(28:31):
the hopes, the dreams, aspiration of this team. And looking
at the schedule, it's favorable coming up. They got a
chance to really make a run. I think they will
do that.
Speaker 15 (28:41):
I love what you said about revitalizing because I was
in that locker room after they beat the Bills and.
Speaker 3 (28:45):
These guys were like kids.
Speaker 15 (28:46):
They're racing on the buggies, you know, they're jumping up
and down a chan of water, were laughing, and the
vibes are not what you expect from a three and
seven team. And Bradley Chubb used the phrase delusional confidence
that they can make a run. But it may not
be as delusional as we think because the way they
won is what they've been trying to build to. Running
(29:07):
the ball with a Chen he had over two hundred
yards physical and your guys, the big boys up front
establishing the vibe there. What have you seen maybe of
this team's physicality and maybe what they can do, as
you said, commanders Jet Saints next few games and maybe
possibly make.
Speaker 3 (29:23):
A run the Bills game.
Speaker 14 (29:26):
And what makes me hopeful for their continued success is
what you just mentioned the run game. Patrick Paul left tackle,
Aaron Brew at center, Austin Jackson could be potentially making
his return as well.
Speaker 3 (29:37):
That's not to be forgotten like that.
Speaker 5 (29:39):
That's significant.
Speaker 14 (29:41):
Devone a Chan he's the most underrated player in the NFL,
and we show him some love. He is, you know,
he gets some notoriety, but not nearly enough for what
he does. His production on a weekly basis is totally insane.
So them to lean on that run game, they have
a chance to turn the season around.
Speaker 4 (29:58):
Cam Tron awesome to have you on GMF. Can you
stick around because we need your personal opinion about your
for teammates jacket during GMP when we return. Also, but
before we go, before I send it back to Sherry,
I have to show the people.
Speaker 5 (30:12):
Well they ask our friend.
Speaker 4 (30:13):
But we have a multi generational jersey setting here.
Speaker 5 (30:16):
Guys.
Speaker 3 (30:16):
We've got Jalen Lane, a rookie.
Speaker 4 (30:17):
For the Commanders, Brian Westbrook, and then a Ben Roethlisberger jersey.
You got, Dolphins fan, we got, we got it all here.
We have people watching the show on their phone because
we're like this Good Morning Football. Indeed it is so
they miss Tron. Everybody they miss Tron. We're gonna send
it back to you.
Speaker 14 (30:33):
Guys told you today it was popping back in the day,
back in the day.
Speaker 6 (30:37):
Our news will be here, Jamie Spain.
Speaker 1 (30:39):
We're gonna talk every single game because we got the
full slate coming up this weekend.
Speaker 3 (30:44):
Which one's your favorite?
Speaker 6 (30:45):
How about the one that Jamis Winston is playing in?
Speaker 3 (30:47):
How weird does it look?
Speaker 6 (30:48):
Jamis wearing nineteen for the Giants? And who cares?
Speaker 1 (30:51):
Every single year we get a taste of Jameis Winston football,
and we get that taste this weekend? How many touchdowns
did you throw? How many interceptions? We're gonna guess you're
gonna do it with us. Give money football, stay with us.
Speaker 9 (31:10):
Good morning, mom.
Speaker 16 (31:14):
You get locked in the room with Jameis Winston for
twenty four hours, you have to try not to laugh.
If you do it successfully, it's not possible.
Speaker 3 (31:20):
You're not doing it. What's the craziest thing he ever
said to you?
Speaker 6 (31:23):
To me?
Speaker 16 (31:23):
We heard he gave a speech before the game. It
was a prayer that ended in the Monday nighteteen song.
Speaker 3 (31:28):
I was like, I don't know how he started a prayer,
like they start saying a prayer.
Speaker 17 (31:36):
It's just a walking meme. And the thing is like
people think like he's like faking it. No, he is
one thousand authentically being himself, genuinely like who you see
on the interviews, who you see before the game getting
interviewed talking about the horses prepared for battle, but victory
is in the Lord, Like that is him, Yeah, that.
Speaker 6 (31:52):
Is him on.
Speaker 5 (31:54):
All right.
Speaker 1 (31:55):
So the games we got this weekend, we got Bucks, Bills, Seahawks, Rams, Chiefs, Broncos, Lions, Eagles,
great games.
Speaker 6 (32:03):
So why are we so excited for Giants?
Speaker 1 (32:05):
Packers, well, because Jamis is starting for the Giants.
Speaker 6 (32:10):
Guys, let's get into it. You both played with him.
Speaker 1 (32:13):
You saw that package with Mark, Mark Andrews and all
others about Mark Ingram Mother, about James's personality.
Speaker 6 (32:20):
Just take us back and tell us about the.
Speaker 1 (32:21):
Jamis experience or a Jamis story, or just paint whatever
Jamis canvas you want.
Speaker 10 (32:25):
Come on, my guy, Jamis Senior, Jamis Winston el himey.
First time, you know, he comes into the safe locker room,
were introducing themselves. You know, Jamis stands up, He's like, yo,
I'm James Winston. Y'all know I was over the bucks
and I'm here to throw these bombs. And I was like, yeah,
I So he just threw off through for five thousand
(32:46):
yards you know, you know whatever, it was like thirty
for thirty thirty touchdown, thirty exceptions.
Speaker 3 (32:50):
I said, Okay, we know he's here to throw these
big ones.
Speaker 10 (32:53):
And that's what I assume is going to happen this Sunday.
Jamis is a gun slinger. Now, you know, he's like
the last man standing. No, no, James gonna come in and
he's gonna uplift the team and he's gonna sling this rock.
So if anybody can do with the Giants, I'm.
Speaker 3 (33:08):
In full belief of Jameis Winston.
Speaker 10 (33:09):
He's going to motivate them when they don't think they
need motivation, when they do need motivation, when when maybe
the times are good.
Speaker 3 (33:16):
Bad, or indifferent.
Speaker 10 (33:17):
James is going to be him authentically motivational.
Speaker 9 (33:21):
The thing about Jamis is this KP Like when you
watch him play, when you watching command, he has this
ultimate confidence, and I think that's what the Giants really need,
is a guy who does it doesn't matter who's open
or who's not open, like just throw the ball. I
think there are so many times when the Giants were
sitting him back there and you see somebody that's kind
of open, You're just like, just take a chance.
Speaker 5 (33:41):
This guy right here, he's going to take the chances.
Speaker 9 (33:43):
And I think that's what they need to have some success,
you know, coming up against a really good team like
the Packers.
Speaker 1 (33:48):
I really believe that over the past several years, pound
for pound, he is the most entertaining.
Speaker 6 (33:53):
Player in the NFL.
Speaker 1 (33:54):
And I mean that in terms of we have these
incredible Lamar Jackson, Josh Allen, Jamar Chase, all these amazing players.
But Jamis is so fun to watch because it's not always.
Speaker 6 (34:04):
Good, but it's never boring.
Speaker 1 (34:06):
It's always something, and he has the rare player who's
playing style matches his personality exactly. It's always colorful off down, left, right,
it's you can't take.
Speaker 7 (34:19):
Your eyes off it, even in this weird number nineteen
New York Giants. And here's the fun thing, guys, there's
this incredible factoid in the symmetry. Now, so the Giants
new interim head coach, now that Brian Dable's gone.
Speaker 3 (34:30):
Mike Kafka.
Speaker 1 (34:31):
All right, Kafka, it's the guy who's been around, He's
run the offense, he's putting his time in the NFL.
Speaker 6 (34:36):
He is now the interim that's the coach.
Speaker 1 (34:38):
His first decision, his first big decision is taking over.
Speaker 6 (34:41):
Jameis is my guy.
Speaker 1 (34:42):
We're starting Jamis Jackson can't go. We're not going with Russell,
going with Jamis. Guys, Mike Kafka played quarterback at Northwestern
in the Big Ten back in the day.
Speaker 3 (34:52):
There he is.
Speaker 1 (34:53):
That is the Giants interim head coach. And just keep
this in mind in through the lens of him starting
Jamis Winston.
Speaker 6 (35:00):
Mike Kafka in.
Speaker 1 (35:01):
Two thousand and nine started the Outback Bowl. I want
you to look at his stat line in that game.
This is the Giants intern head coach stat line. As
a quarterback for Northwestern. He threw for five thirty two
seventy eight passes, four touchdowns, and five interceptions. That is
(35:21):
a completely annihilated, drunken stat line. But it's reminding me
of Jamis. Jamis could do that, like he has four
and five in him. I just think it's so funny
that like Kafka gets Jamis, Like I see some of
himself in Jamis, and I think that's why it's gonna work. Now,
I'm gonna put a challenge to both of you. Let's
(35:42):
make a prediction this weekend, Giants packers.
Speaker 6 (35:46):
I want we got our white boards. I want you
to write.
Speaker 1 (35:48):
Down a number, slash a number, and the two numbers
are the amount of touchdowns Jamis throws this weekend and
the amount of interceptions. Man, Ti, you go first and
call your shots.
Speaker 9 (35:59):
Okay, guys, So I'm gonna call my shot right here,
and I'm gonna go back to when he first got
his starting job with the Brown Okay, when he first
got his starting job with the Browns this week two
against the Baltimore Ravens, and he threw for three hundred
and thirty four yards and three TD's, zero picks. So
I think Jamis comes in here and throws for three
tds and zero picks again in his first start. I
know it's a different defense that he's going to be
(36:21):
up against with the Green Bay Packers. But the whole
reason why I'm also going fast is while you're talking
KB cam had a cam, had a little stat on there,
and he writes it.
Speaker 1 (36:32):
When they get to what he he rates it too,
because I saw what it was before.
Speaker 3 (36:37):
He knows there. You saw what it was before, and
then you went and plagiarism. I'm plagiarism, all right.
Speaker 6 (36:44):
No picks from anti amazing Pam. What do you think?
Speaker 3 (36:48):
Oh yeah, I'm I'm not on that hype. I do
think my dog Jamis is going to air it out.
Speaker 6 (36:54):
You know.
Speaker 3 (36:54):
I think they're Slade and I think Singletary. You know,
I think they got some talent and it's Jamis.
Speaker 10 (37:00):
I'm going four and two four Toddy to two interceptions
in some and somehow, some way, they're gonna come down
to the wire.
Speaker 3 (37:07):
And he's gonna run it in and win the game himself.
Speaker 6 (37:09):
All right.
Speaker 1 (37:10):
See I love that. I love that, But I'm thinking
even bigger. All right, this is a two and eight team.
He's coming off the bench. I think Jamis is gonna
throw sixty passes in this game. I just think it's
gonna be. What the hell, Let's launch it. And is
there anything more perfect than Jameis Winston right now? Like
the clown prints of the NFL, who does everything funny.
(37:31):
His touchdown to interception ratio, guys, take seven its no
touchdown seven picks? You got it in you. You will
walk off the field when you're done. That is your
retirement game six and seven and out.
Speaker 6 (37:48):
I know you can do it. Jameis, please don't let
us down.
Speaker 3 (37:51):
What do you think? Ain't no way.
Speaker 9 (37:55):
The thing about Jamis, though, is regardless of what's in
the first category or the second one, He's going to
attack either the touchdowns or to interceptions the same reaction
and the same amount of charisma as he did the
last one. So regardless if he throws six touchdowns six interceptions,
the guy's going to go back to the go back
to the sideline and be like, hey, coach, roll up
(38:16):
the next one. I'm ready to throw this thing again.
That's what I love about Jamis.
Speaker 10 (38:19):
There's zero fear in him. I mean, I think, what
did you say last year? He was like, He's like, Lord,
you know, save me from these interceptions. And then he
started throwing them tuddies. That's what my guy, Jamis says.
He's going he's going to fight through in all else.
He's gonna fight and you love to see it. He's
gonna hop in the car where are we going to
and he's gonna drive you there.
Speaker 3 (38:37):
He don't even know about one yet.
Speaker 1 (38:38):
I think he's gonna have six touchdowns and six picks.
And then he throws a hail Mary at the end
of the game and it's intercepted to the six seven.
Speaker 6 (38:44):
Let's go to Spain. Jamie Orda get in here. We're
having fun.
Speaker 4 (38:48):
Well this because toront arms set is fist at all
you guys, because you're talking about his favorite teammate and
he wants to get in on this.
Speaker 3 (38:54):
This Jamis.
Speaker 4 (38:55):
You can't flint sight into Jamis the fact that he's
starting again in the NFL. But also, what do you
think in terms of picks and touchdowns?
Speaker 14 (39:02):
No, I'm not I'm not mad at Manti at all.
He was the most honest clear Jamis is they finally
letting that weapon out the closet. He gets the guns
slinking in New York. We we all been waiting on it.
Jameis is, this is what he does. This is what
he does. Kyle to six seven. I get the reference,
but no, he's been delivered. James has been delivered from
turnovers and he's going to get him a big dub.
Speaker 6 (39:24):
Let's go.
Speaker 4 (39:26):
Shut You think the people, You think the people in
Spain if you turn around and ate the doubs in
front of them.

This is not one of those places. That's that's it.
It's as far it's as far from that as you
can possibly get. And uh it's I mean, I don't know.
I loved playing atmospheres like that, and I just know
the type of guys we have. They're I think they're
gonna eat it up. I really do.
Speaker 1 (40:13):
Dan Campbell, of course, the Cowboy during his playing career
and a Lion played in Philadelphia's fair share of times.
Speaker 3 (40:18):
Cam you've done it, is it really different?
Speaker 10 (40:21):
Like they say, oh yeah, come on, you know on
the bus, when you're driving into the stadium, you're gonna see,
you know, the Eagles fans giving the bird. They're they're
they're a very everybody knows how obnoxious their fans can be.
Speaker 3 (40:35):

Speaker 5 (40:37):
Nobody asked, Yeah.
Speaker 10 (40:38):
You know, like just be be happy about your team.
But they also will turn on their team too. They're
they're very quick to turn so if you can get
some momentum going, they're gonna turn on the team asap.
Speaker 9 (40:49):
Yeah, defenders, we like that type of stuff though, you
know what I mean.
Speaker 5 (40:51):

Speaker 10 (40:53):
Hostility absolutely, But when they're rolling, they're so they're so annoying.
Speaker 3 (40:57):

Speaker 6 (40:59):

they knocking all the game.
